Here it is, the tenth full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released a little earlier than expected. Thankfully I was efficient this week in both my real world work and my other two active series so I was able to get to this chapter early and edit it for y'all, as well as drafting a new chapter in this series to increase my cushion. I will save the final major chapter of this arc for the usual upload time just to draw it out a little. That is all I have now for you though and as there are no questions to respond to here and no guest reviews to answer I will leave this note here which means that it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 10th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.

Chapter 10: First Villain Fight

A dark hole appeared in midair about 10 or so feet above the ground and Adrien and Marinette fell head first out of it. They were still holding onto each other, but years of training kicked in and they broke apart, flipped over and landed on their feet with the grace they'd always had while in costume. Instantly they were scanning their surroundings.

The first thing that Marinette noticed was that they where higher up than they had been when they were on the walkway by the entrance to the USJ. In fact, it seemed like they were above everything else in the USJ as they stood upon a mountain formation.

That was when Marinette notice the large, rock filled, water slide near them with a constant stream of water coming out of the top of the mountain and deduced that they were at the top of the flood zone. Technically where they were was the area that filled the flood zone beneath them, so Marinette wasn't sure if this constituted a zone or not but regardless this was where they had been sent.

"Seems like that mist guy split us up just as he said." Adrien said as he extended he baton and took a position with his back to Marinette's just as they had done countless times before. "He must be pretty strong to split us up and send us to multiple locations in one go."

"Yeah and to have a Quirk like that." Marinette said as she began to spin her yo-yo. "I don't know what it is, but it can't be a common one to have."

"Some form of teleportation or as they call it a warp Quirk, which is apparently a rare kind of Quirk to have here." Adrien said. "It would explain how they got into and out of the school without detection and into here. He doesn't strike me as the boss though but he's one of the ones to really pay attention to given his power and the fact that he's their ride in and out of this place."

"Agreed but we have a bigger problem to deal with right now." Marinette said and Adrien just nodded as a dozen villains crested, or in a few cases burrowed up from underground to surround them. "Guess he wasn't kidding about comrades being our deaths? What's the legal situation here for us?"

"Technically private property as this is part of the school and in fact being part of the school adds to it as we are sanctioned to use Quirks on U.A. property." Adrien said. "And they attacked first with the intent to kill so even if we weren't on school property we could probably use our Quirks in self-defense. That said, clearly these villains don't know what our Quirks are."

"Why do you say that?" Marinette asked as the villains all halted in their circle around them but none of them had attacked yet.

"Because they are just waiting, they haven't tried to kill us yet." Adrien said eyeing the villains warily. "Which means that they don't know what we can do so are keeping a distance for the moment."

"So, they only got the class's itinerary and not the details on us." Marinette said. "Good but I feel like we don't need Quirks to defeat these thugs."

"No, likely most are low skilled gutter scum who are more going for overwhelming numbers and not power or skill." Adrien said. "We have training and experience on them. The truly dangerous ones will be down in the center waiting for All Might."

"You know we can hear you brats." One of the villains spat.

"Yeah I know." Adrien said with a shrug and a cocky grin at the villain who'd spoken. "Just thinking out loud. Now if we don't use Quirks to defend ourselves, well then that is perfectly legal with no repercussions whatsoever, especially as standard defense is less power than a Quirk."

"It will be like old times." Marinette said with a smile switching to French so that they could talk a little more freely. "Only they don't have the advantages an akuma would have against us and I don't have to catch a butterfly."

"If you brats think you can beat us without Quirks then you're already dead." A large, mutant Quirk villain said. "At least that's what I think you said in that western tongue of yours. Kill them!"

"Looks like we're fighting for sure." Marinette said as she threw her yo-yo at the villain who'd given the order. "I got these 6, you take out the others kitty."

"With pleasure bugaboo." Adrien said as he leapt the nearest villain to him, someone with what seemed like talons for hands that grew a little as Adrien reached the villain and had been the first one of the villains to speak to them.

What happened next was nothing short of years of fighting akumas in Paris paying off for Marinette and Adrien. These villains were nothing compared to an akuma, especially with their full strength as if they had activated their Miraculouses with the additional boost the costumes gave them.

Marinette's yo-yo ensnared the villain who'd given the kill order and bound his arms to his side as Marinette pulled the string taught. As she did, she leapt at the villain and pulled him towards her so that they met in midair where she kicked him hard in the face with both her feet, hard enough to knock him out cold and drive him into the ground with enough force to crack it. However, Marinette wasn't done as she had used her kick to backflip off him and pull his unconscious body up as she fell to the ground thanks to her yo-yo still around him.

Imitating what she'd seen her teacher do with his binding cloth, Marinette heaved the large villain over her shoulder and down onto two villains who were hanging back and preparing ranged attacks with their Quirks. They were smaller villains and stood no chance as the hefty villain crashed into them and flattened them in a cloud of dust and a pile of unconscious limbs.

Marinette never stopped moving as she yanked her yo-yo back and ducked under a sword strike from an armed villain trying to get in close. Marinette had to lean back to avoid it, but she used the momentum to lean forward and slammed her head into the villain's chest sending him flying back and across the rocky top until he hit a boulder head first and slumped unconscious to the ground while the boulder crumbled to rubble from the impact.

Instinct saved Marinette next as she spun her yo-yo fast enough to be a shield and deflected several lasers coming at her side from some woman's hands while a second woman closed in on her with rocks covering her arms. Marinette kept up the shield as she ducked and weaved away from the blows before she leapt and flipped over the close combat woman and put her between herself and the ranged one.

That clearly didn't stop the ranged villain who shot her associate in the back without hesitation and caused her to howl in pain. Marinette used that distraction to punch the woman in the gut before knocking her out with a savage uppercut that had to have at least knocked out a few teeth if not broken the villain's jaw.

Not wanting to lose momentum, Marinette ran forward and around the still airborne villain and charged the ranged one from an unexpected angle. Marinette's speed was faster than a normal human and boosted by the suit, so it added to the ranged woman by surprise, and she only got one shot off, one that was wild and missed, before Marinette reached her and dropped her with a kick to the head as she leapt over the woman.

Panting a bit, she hadn't had a fight like this in a while, Marinette looked over and smiled. Adrien was finishing off the last of his own villains having taken a little longer as he couldn't take out multiple at once like Marinette could with her yo-yo.

For Adrien's part, he was having a good old time beating the villains and stopping their attack while protecting his friends at the same time. It was just like the old days and reminded him what he was fighting for, to get his hero license and resume his duties as Cat Noir with his lady by his side as he worked to make the world a better place.

Adrien had started the fight by charging the villain who'd first spoken, his staff in his hands like a sword, and yelling a war cry. However, that had been a feint as he leapt over the villain surprising him and flipped to reach a pair of ranged villains behind the man who were getting ready to use their Quirks should he fail to stop Adrien.

He did this by rolling on landing to avoid and attack and then sweeping their legs from under them with his staff as it extended again to cover the distance between him and the villains. As they flew into the air, Adrien leapt up and towards them so that he landed with a foot on each of their faces that he used to drive them head first into the ground and knock them out. With two down, Adrien flipped to the side and met an armed villain head on.

The third villain to face ha a pair of cleavers in his hands and tried to bring them to bear on Adrien. Adrien simply deflected them with his staff back at his favorite length and pushed them up with his greater strength. The force staggered the man back and Adrien used that to switch the staff to his right hand and punched the man in the face with his left. He was thrown back unconscious and with enough force to create a furrow in the ground.

As this was happening Adrien smelt the talon handed villain behind him, the dude had atrocious body odor, and ducked the swipe, glad for his enhanced sense as the talons passed harmlessly above him. Still crouched, Adrien slammed the base of his staff into the man's gut doubling him over as he drove the breath from the man's lungs. Adrien simply stood and pivoted on his heal as he struck the villain in the head with his elbow dropping him to the ground like a stone.

Adrien turned to see that he still had two villains left, both female. One was armed with a heavy club that had to require some enhanced strength to use while the other seemed to had tentacles coming out from her back that writhed in the air.

"You wouldn't punch a woman now would you kid." The club wielder said with a sneer. "That would be wrong."

"If she was a villain sure." Adrien said as he ran at them, tentacles shooting towards him as he ran. "You started it; I'm just ending it. Gender means nothing in these situations."

The woman spat curses as Adrien easily ducked and weaved through the tentacles thanks to his reflexes and training, well that and the fact that villain clearly had little control over her Quirk it seemed, as he reached her and then leapt over her with a flip. As he was upside down and in midair over her, Adrien brought the staff down on the back of her head hard enough to knock her out but not hard enough to do any worse to her.

As the woman fell face forward onto the ground, Adrien landed and rolled back along the mountain top. As he sprung up he saw that the club wielder had neared him in that time and was bringing it down with a twohanded axe blow towards his head. Instinctively, Adrien raise his right hand and activated his Quirk as the club came down.

It wasn't a moment to late as he caught it seconds after the black energy of his Cataclysm engulfed his hand. Still, he felt the force of the blow hit his palm and knew it would have shattered his hand had he not been wearing his costume and had his enhancements thanks to Mage.

"What the hell?" The woman spat as Adrien held the club and the black energy covered it, turning it to dust in the woman's hand within a few seconds. "What is that Quirk?"

"Cataclysm." Adrien said as he focused on his hand to keep it active and not let it die, he could just about do it if he actively concentrated on it, so that he could use it again within his 5-minute time frame. "Don't worry, it won't work on flesh."

With that Adrien stepped forward and slammed a palm heel strike into the woman's chin with his left hand dropping her to the ground out cold. With that done, Adrien turned to see that Marinette was looking at him having defeated all her own foes before him.

"Adrien, you're Cataclysm." Marinette said pointing to his hand surprised to see the energy still there after he used it. "You can keep it active?"

"Yeah Mage said that I can keep it up for 5 minutes remember." Adrien said. "It took some practice over the last few days but now I can manage it not going out after a use so long as it is within the time frame, and I focus on doing so but if I lose concentration after activating it then it will go out."

"Ok, that is actually pretty good, and it will get stronger the more we train." Marinette said thinking and realizing that there was a use Adrien could do with it now. "Go to the middle and hold your hand to the ground and if you can send it out over the mountain top. Let's see if any are still hiding."

Adrien just nodded and followed Marinette's orders; she was the planner of them after all whenever they were in battle, and he trusted her instincts. He walked to the center of the plateau they were on and pressed his hand to the ground. Instantly it cracked around him as he pushed his power into it and spread it around the mountain top that they were on. The cracks appeared and snaked everywhere though the area he was affecting was large enough that Cataclysm didn't do more than crack the ground and make it unstable. However, it did have the desired result.

A villain that had been buried and likely waiting for his moment to get them while their guard was down was thrown up from the broken ground with a yelp. Instantly Marinette swung her yo-yo and threw it to ensnare his ankle. She then yanked the started villain towards her and clotheslined him with an outstretched arm that knocked him out and dropped him to the ground as he passed her. With that they had easily bested the villains placed here to kill whichever students the warp villain sent here.

"I think it's time to get some intel on what is going on." Adrien said standing and coming over to Marinette, pulling out a protein cube to recharge as he did and popping it into his mouth as he walked. "You got that covered m'lady."

"Child's play." Marinette said with a grin as she raised her hand and activated her Quirk thinking she needed something for surveillance.

A second later a small, remote controlled, drone complete with camera in the nose and a complicated remote that had a screen on it that was part of the item she'd created, in a ladybug print as expected, appeared and fell into her hands. It wasn't hard to figure it out and Marinette turned it on before sending it out to scan the area, using the controls to fly it just as a massive plume of water erupted out of the flood zone beneath them.

"I'll narrate on what is going on." Marinette said as she piloted the drone to look at the flood zone. Protect my back from any villains that come too."

"On in bugaboo." Adrien said as he took up his protective position behind his girlfriend with his back to hers and his staff raised. "Don't worry about it."

Marinette didn't, she trusted Adrien implicitly, so she just turned to the screen on the remote control just in time to see a green figure holding a purple one that was throwing balls of a slightly darker purple while carrying a blue and white clad figure with a long, prehensile, tongue, the third figure was clutching his left hand in pain. It was easy to figure out who they were and what had likely happened, the sinking ship behind them helped paint the full picture.

"Alright I have the first update." Marinette said as she worked the controls unsure how she knew how to use them but chalking it up to her Quirk making the device simple enough for her to use it. "It appears that Tsu, Mineta, and Midoriya were in the flood zone."

"That explains the water explosion and that they had no clue what we could do if the warp guy sent the one amphibian in our class to where she'd be at her very best and not a section like the fire zone that would be a serious problem for her." Adrien said. "Apply a large force to water and it will displace it and then expel it upwards. Only Midoriya has that kind of power in our class, if he was using air pressure and directing it somehow which I am not sure he can do."

"I think he can." Marinette said as a large ball of villains, all those from the water it seemed, appeared to be clumped together and floating on the surface of it. "And Mineta used his sticky balls, gods why does that pervert have to have a power that revolves around sticky balls, to stick the villains together and capture them. Well, it is a good power I guess for capture, possibly as good as Sero's tape, so that explains how he got into U.A. Tsu is their way out with her frog abilities."

"That is a well-balanced team and with Midoriya's analytical skills he would have maximized it. Adrien said before asking. "Are they ok?"

"I think so." Marinette said as she noticed them land in the water safely away from the villains who were now not a threat to them at all. "Midoriya has some injury but seeing as he used his Quirk that would explain it. Not sure the extent but he can stand so not too bad, likely a few fingers at most I'd guess. They seem to be planning a way back, so I'll leave them and move onto the main area."

"What about the dome with the rain?" Adrien asked. "Can you see into it?"

"No, I can't but I am sure that at least one if not two of our class are inside it." Marinette said with a sigh as she piloted the drone high and over it. "It can see the walkway and it looks both good and bad."

"What's happening?" Adrien asked as he kept sweeping his eyes over the area just in case any of the defeated villains came around.

"Ida's at the door and is managing to get through it." Marinette said as she watched the feed. "It seems like he will get away. Uraraka's found the mist guy's body, or at least that armor thing I saw just before we were sent here, and has made it float. Now Sero's using his tape to secure it and Sato is about to throw it with his strength. Great teamwork guys and Ida is free and running for help. We have to find out how they did that later."

"We will but that is good to know but what about the bad thing?" Adrien asked remembering that Marinette had said that something bad had happened there.

"Thirteen is down." Marinette said narrowing her eyes at the screen. "I can't confirm how bad it is but she's on the ground with Ashido at least and the back of her costume is all ripped up. I hope she's ok."

"She's a pro, it will take a lot to bring her down I suspect." Adrien said though he was worried for their teacher as well. "We just have to hope that she's only injured. We still need intel so move the drone on, check the next zone."

"Right, going to be hard as it's the urban one." Marinette said moving the drone over to it and trying to use its camera to see in the rubble and broken building that were there. "Let's see. My guess is that it's for an earthquake in a city or what to do after a villain attack has caused significant damage. Can't make out anything… wait."

As Marinette spoke she saw an explosive flash from a building that her drone was nearing. She had to get the drone down low and pass by quickly in case a villain saw it and shot it down to confirm but it was enough to just about see who was inside. She caught a glimpse of Bakugo holding a villain by the head that he'd just defeated while Kirishima looked on in amazement.

"Bakugo and Kirishima are in that zone." Marinette said as she got the drone up and moved it onto the next zone, the landslide one. "Looks like they have it well in hand and have defeated all the villains there though I expect at least Bakugo to head to the middle to go after the main villain, that's just who he is. Kirishima will likely follow him just because."

"That is to be expected." Adrien said. "Bakugo's Quirk is extremely good offensively and Kirishima's is good all around. Add in their combined martial abilities and drives to win and those two as a pair are going to be tough to beat when they are both on the offensive. Likely only we could take them on if it were a pairs battle and even then only if your Quirk can produce something to negate Bakugo's. I can probably handle Kirishima one on one, but Bakugo is my equal in terms of power though I would like to test myself against him."

"Hard to say if I can or not." Marinette said. "I can produce something to win, likely something that negates his explosions, but his combat sense, judgement and reaction times are second to only Todoroki I think, and both move too fast to effectively counter or get what I need on them. If I faced either, it would be a slugfest that came down to a mix of speed and endurance. Speaking of the half and half brood master, I found him."

"Landslide zone?" Adrien asked.

"Yup and he's comfortably handled the villains there." Marinette said with a nod as she zoomed in as best she could and saw all the ice there. "They're all frozen solid though he may not be alone there as there are still classmates missing from earlier but for now all I can see is him."

"What's he doing?" Adrien asked. "He is Endeavor's son so if anyone here has hero instincts he does. Only Ida might be his equal due to his family, maybe Midoriya with his knowledge but my money's on Todoroki."

"You'd be right kitty." Marinette said as the drone passed them. "He's integrating them as we speak. Not sure I agree with his methods, I think he's using his powers as a threat to get the intel he wants."

"So long as he doesn't stoop to torture it will be fine." Adrien said. "And if he wants to be a hero he won't but the threat of it will be enough with these lowlifes."

"True, I'll leave him to it and move on." Marinette said as she banked the drone over to the mountain zone. "Let's see who's in the next area and if they need our help."

Marinette was about to get the drone over the mountain area when she saw a flash of electricity from the center of it. She was very glad that she hadn't reached it yet as it would have likely taken out the drone, but she still sent it to find out what was going on there once the electricity died. As she did she saw the results and zoomed in to confirm what she had expected as soon as she saw the electricity.

"I can confirm that at least Kaminari is in the mountain zone." Marinette said as she saw the electric Quirk user in his stupid mode wandering around near a large, silver, blanket thing with many villains twitching near him. "Guess he unleashed his full voltage and shorted his brain. Took down a lot but why…oh that's why that's there."

"What?" Adrien asked.

"Don't look." Marinette said quickly as soon as she saw what was on the screen and glad that she was the one watching it. "There's been a slight wardrobe malfunction in the zone."

"Huh?" Adrien asked, he wasn't looking anyway but decided not to at his lady's words and kept looking over the villains they'd defeated.

"There was a silver blanket on the ground that I didn't understand." Marinette said as she saw under it and got a full view of Yaoyorozu's impressive assets in all their glory, somehow this was more scandalous then seeing them in the changing room, due to her costume being in tatters before Jiro dived in front of her to protect her modesty from Kaminari. "Turns out it was Yaoyorozu's doing. My guess it was an insulation blanket that protected her and Jiro from Kaminari's Electrification so that he could unleash it without frying his friends as well."

"Ok, I'm not seeing a problem." Adrien said a little confused. "Sounds like a normal thing for her to make, what's the issue?"

"Well, it's a large blanket and if I had to guess the only place Yaoyorozu could get it out of her body was her back." Marinette said as the upper-class girl fixed her costume before she and Jiro got out to look around, both armed with a metal bo staff and a machete, respectively. "And as she has a costume there it kinda destroyed almost all of her top, but she's replaced it it seems."

"Ah ok." Adrien said understanding it now and seeing why there was a malfunction, something he had a feeling might happen a lot more with Yaoyorozu and her Quirk. "Good thing Kaminari has shorted his brain briefly then and won't remember anything, he strikes me as almost as pervy as Mineta."

"Yeah it is a good thing because if he didn't I think Jiro would have run him through with her machete." Marinette said glad she didn't have a complex about her small chest, with most of the girls in her class jealousy in that department could be easy and even without a complex, it was hard not to be jealous of Yaoyorozu's breasts. "Looks like they're armed and ready but have beaten the villains thanks to Kaminari, though they are just standing around and not rounding them up. Yaoyorozu's Quirk could be really useful in that."

"Unless she's low on lipids and can't make restraints." Adrien pointed out. "Also, why does Jiro have a machete?"

"True that could be it." Marinette said. "And likely because Yaoyorozu made her one for self-defense."

"Alright and the next zone?" Adrien asked deciding not to question it further. "Who's there, there are about 5 or so left in the class that are unaccounted for."

"That's the fire one, can't see in." Marinette said with a grumble. "But there should be at least one of our class there as well if the trend is anything to go by."

"Alright so we've accounted for most of the class." Adrien said. "Who's missing? We can use that to know what zones they may be in."

"Tokoyami, Koda, Ojiro, Aoyama, and Hagakure." Marinette said already having made note of who she couldn't see. "I haven't noticed them. Hagakure is the one we have no clue where she might be. With her Quirk, all she has to do is take off her gloves and boots and she's fully invisible so she can hide and be safe anywhere in the USJ while taking out any villain that gets near her. Plus, she's likely already practicing stealth."

"Alright so we won't know where she is until the very end." Adrien said. "That leaves the other four. Tokoyami and Ojiro should be able to handle themselves if they are smart. I've already pegged Tokoyami as one of the best combatants with his Dark Shadow and Ojiro is nimble with his tail and should be able to evade and counter well. the other two, I'm not sure about."

"Plus, I don't think that martial arts costume is for show." Marinette said as she was about to move the drone on before she noticed movement behind Kaminari and banked it around to see what was going on as she spoke. "I didn't see much in class thanks to Todoroki freezing him to the ground in the battle trial, but we watched their entrance tapes, he's clearly trained in hand-to-hand combat and can use his tail as if it was a limb which only adds to his skills."

"Still, he'd have to be smart, but he is in U.A. so I expect it." Adrien said. "It's Koda who is the weakest, his Quirk isn't useful here I think. Aoyama isn't much better with the drawback that he has when he over uses his Navel Laser."

"No, it's not." Marinette said before she blanched as a villain that was immune to Kaminari suddenly burst out of the ground and grabbed him by the back of the head in a massive hand. "Adrien, get to the mountain zone now! There's a villain there with more than two braincells and with enough power to be an actual threat, possible even be the one jamming the communications as he wasn't affected by Kaminari's electricity and may have been hidden until now. He has Kaminari and is now likely stalling for time with Yaoyorozu and Jiro so that the others recover and take them out. Get there now and stop him! Go via the fire zone's dome and the long way to avoid the middle where Mr. Aizawa is."

"On it." Adrien said as he turned and ran to the edge of the plateau trusting that Marinette had this in hand and going to save his classmates. "Be safe bugaboo."

Marinette trusted Adrien to do his job and turned the drone back in time to see Mr. Aizawa get his head slammed into the concrete by the bird thing that was still in the middle of the facility. He was already clearly beat with broken arms and head wounds, but he'd suddenly used his Quirk for some reason. Marinette felt dread at the sight of the teacher like that, along with Thirteen both of the pros here were now injured, but now she focused on the sight to see why her homeroom teacher was using his Quirk.

It seemed that Tsu, Midoriya, and Mineta had gotten too close to the action and were now dealing with the hand guy. Marinette didn't know what was going on, but she knew she needed to act. Just as she was about to power the drone at them and see what happened two things happened at once.

First her Quirk timed out and the drone vanished in a flash, as did the controller in her hand. That wasn't good but already Marinette had reached into a belt pouch and pulled out a handful of protein cubes and shoved them in her mouth to recharge as fast as possible. As she was doing that, the door to the USJ burst open and All Might strode in through the smoke a pissed of look on his face and in his full form.

Marinette swallowed and waited for her power to recharge so she could go aid where she was needed most. She knew that the first round of the battle had ended but the war at the USJ was far from over. It was now time for All Might to join the fray. As soon as Marinette was ready, she'd see what help she could provide because she knew that this was about to get ugly.

She had to be ready to help out. She was Ladybug and Ladybug was a hero. A hero never backed down when she was needed the most but rather ran head first into battle to save those who needed saving. As soon as Marinette was ready she would help. She didn't know how but she knew she had to. After all, that was what a hero did.

Ah a nice little cliffhanger of sorts for y'all to enjoy as we near the conclusion of the USJ incident and the first major arc of the series follow our heroic duo from a bygone time's first experience of villains in the new society they are in. What will happen next as Ladybug and Cat Noir are thrown into the fray? Well, stay tuned as it is coming soon. However, that is all I have for this part so I will leave it here.
