Here it is, the thirteenth full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released early as I have the time to go on a little surge again and I may be able to get another one out tomorrow but I won't promise anything. This is a bridge and filler chapter similar to chapter 3 and will become a bit of a traditional kind of chapter at certain points in the story, especially early on, but you will be able to see why in a moment so I won't say anymore. That is all I have now for you though and as there are no questions to respond to here and no guest reviews to answer I will leave this note here which means that it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 13th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.
Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.
Chapter 13: Post Incident Catchup
It was late in the morning the next day when Adrien and Marinette stumbled into the open plan living room and kitchen of the apartment they were staying in still a little groggy from the night before. That was because when they'd gotten home after staying at the school late to wait for Midoriya to be discharged by Recovery Girl they had retired to Adrien's room after Mage had transported them home and one thing led to another and well they relationship reached an even deeper level.
It was something they knew was coming and had talked about but weren't fully ready yet. However, after the USJ incident they felt that that time had come and finally given themselves to each other.
"Good night I take it." Mage said with a grin as he put down a copy of the local paper he was reading at the island in the kitchen where they ate in his usual Guardian attire minus his gauntlets so the tattoo on his right forearm was visible. "You're up later than usual."
Both Marinette and Adrien just grunted as they sat down and breakfast, a typical French affair of a sliced baguette with jam on it and a few croissants as it was a day off, appeared before them as if by magic, which is exactly how it appeared. Both also had coffee appear to wake them up a bit though Marinette at least added a fair amount of sugar to hers.
Mage just raised an eyebrow at them as he noticed that Adrien was wearing a simple white shirt and his U.A. PE kit pants while Marinette had shown up in athletic shorts and Adrien's standard casual T-shirt that was clearly a little too big for her but was still easily modest on her. However, that wasn't the main thing. No, the girl was practically glowing, and Mage didn't need his powers to deduce what had happened after he'd transported them home the night before.
"Did you two at least use protection last night?" Mage asked as in his normal tone as if he was discussing the weather. "It is always best to be safe and I wasn't aware so I couldn't cast the spell before you got home."
That got both teens immediately awake mid bite of food, causing them to sit upright and go bright red and in Marinette's case choke a bit on her food. Mage just chuckled at the sight. He knew this day would come eventually, he was an immortal being, he knew love well enough and saw that these two had it in spades for each other.
He also knew that they often, if not always, shared a bed. He was just annoyed it had taken this long for this to happen, he'd lost the pool he had with some of the Guardians, and Plagg, and would now have to fork out a favor to Vina and those usually resulted in some rather awkward questions in the aftermath of the drunken escapade that she would drag him on.
"How'd you know?" Marinette asked in a quiet voice as she recovered trying to hide her embarrassment and failing miserably about it and coming clean as Mage was their guardian so he should at least be aware that they were now active. "I mean, yes we did use protection and, er, I guess it's time to get that spell you offered but, um, we didn't intend on it happening. It just happened naturally last night as it was the right time for us."
"I've lived for millennia; I know the signs when young people in love consummate that love." Mage said with a smile that only made them even more embarrassed. "I was prepared for this and don't worry, I cast the spell the moment I could tell that your relationship had deepened so you're good for a few years and you are both clean, I know that from the medical report you had right before U.A. started so go nuts."
"You won't stop us?" Adrien asked confused at Mage's surprising acceptance of what had happened though still embarrassed that he knew. "Or scold us for doing it here?"
"Not my place as far as I'm concerned." Mage said with a shrug as a full English breakfast appeared before him complete with a cup of fine British tea and a steaming teapot that looked like it belonged in an aristocratical home in the English countryside. "Just remember your studies and duties should come first. What you do in your free time is your business. I'm technically your guardian for legal purposes but I don't believe in restricting you unless it's absolutely necessary and I know from the last half year that you two are mature and responsible people, so I trust you to be sensible."
"Oh, well thank you." Marinette said as she went back to her breakfast and wanting to move on from this topic as fast as possible. "And, er, can we not talk about this again, ever."
"Sure, I just can't wait to see what Plagg has to do for losing his part of the debt, Vina loves messing with him when she has the chance." Mage said with a chuckle at their faces and began to eat his large meal with relish. "But besides that, how can you have such a measly breakfast? I never understood the continental approach to breakfast, it's the best meal of the day."
"And we never understood the English speakers' view on it." Adrien said with a grin glad the topic had changed and going with it. "Or why you have a taste for it as an immortal Guardian."
That was one thing that neither Marinette nor Adrien had been able to figure out yet about the strange order that existed and were currently looking after them. The longer they lived with Mage, the more they learned of his personality and found him to be rather British in his mentality and tastes, which differed from what they had learned of the Guardians being based in America and more American in their nature. That said, the preference the Guardian had for speaking English was understandable given where they were based though he did at least speak Japanese to them to get them more used to it.
"That has to do more with our past." Mage said with a shrug. "In the past, before the advent of Quirks, we Guardians, as part of the western civilization mythology for the most part, moved with the flame of western civilization as it moved west. We were originally in Greece and the surrounding area. Then, when the Romans rose to prominence, we move to Rome for about 600 years or so."
"That does make some sense." Adrien said. "Those two civilizations worshiped different versions of the same goods but then Christianity took over and the pagan gods were no longer worshiped."
"Yeah that was when they began to fade into myth and legend." Mage said. "Though we Guardians were already myth by then as we are different from the old gods. It was also when the dark ages began."
"The dark ages after the fall of Rome?" Marinette asked.
"Correct." Mage said. "Without the central power the pantheons were scattered all over Europe, north Africa, and what is modern day Turkey as they went to where they had the most power. Constantinople became a central place for a while, but it was not sustainable in the long run. For 300 years we were basically civilization-less as various parts of Europe vied to be Rome's successor as the dominant power in the west."
"300 years." Adrien said as he quickly thought about his history and realized what was going on 300 years after the fall of Rome. "So that means that…"
"It was Charlemagne who rose to enough strength to summon the flame of the west to him and bring the disjointed gods to one place." Mage said with a nod. "We had been waiting for that moment as well and as such moved to modern day France with the gods. For about a millennia we basically bounced between France, the Holy Roman Empire, Spain, and the city states of Italy, as the influences of the European powers waxed and waned during that period. Then, by the time of King George II, we had moved to England as it was clearly on the rise. That was where we had a bit of a split within the Guardians."
"Split?" Marinette asked confused.
"Dominus and the British never got along well." Mage said with a shrug. "He didn't like their attitude, or most of Europe for that matter after the fall of Rome and ended up believing that Europe's power would eventually fall in favor of something different, better, and more in line with the old days of Greece and Rome. Then in 1776, what he had predicted happened, or at least it began to happen."
"The American Declaration of Independence." Adrien said knowing exactly what that year was famous for, due to the French involvement and what they took from it students in France knew the American revolution well. "The first true threat to the British though it would take over a decade for it to come to fruition."
"Correct." Mage said with a nod. "Some of the founders were classical scholars and Dominus realized even back then that America would rise be come the symbol of the west and burn with a flame brighter than any since the glory days of the Roman Republic because it would adopt Greco-Roman values and concepts. That was why he officially moved the Guardians to America in 1776, decades prior to the flame officially moving there during the antebellum era when it became clear that Britain was due for a decline within a century or so."
"But if there was a split." Marinette said thinking on it. "Then…"
"Some of us opted to stay in England or move back to France when Napoleon took charge there." Mage confirmed. "Several Guardians opted to remain and as we have a presence globally, Dominus didn't mind it. I was one of the Guardians who believed that Britain and its empire would be the dominant power for a few more centuries. Then the revolution happened, and the greatest military power of the day was beaten by a bunch of what to them, in reality frankly were, were backwoods yokels from across the ocean."
"The first sign that Britain wouldn't hold its power was that loss." Adrien said. "And a wake up for France to change as well, in no small part due to the Marquis de Lafayette who played a large role in both revolutions. The subsequent policies in France in the wake of our various revolutions instilled concepts learned from the American Revolution. It was why we always had representation for our colonies in the French parliament for example because that was the big mistake the British made. We tax with representation."
"Correct again." Mage said. "That revolution was an eye opener to the European powers at the time, and I did make sure I established a presence there and all that with my element, but I was still based in England, and I remained there until the death of Queen Victoria when I realized that it was time to move officially to America and rejoin my brethren. I wasn't the last, but I was one but there weren't many left in Europe when I moved, and I still maintained British customs and tastes. Several of us do."
"I can't say I understand how your order works." Marinette said trying to wrap her brain around that and failing. "But it is good to know a bit more about you lot, we should know as much as possible given all you're doing for us."
"The Guardians and our followers are rather complex; I will give you that." Mage said. "And someday I will actually explain how some of that works but that is why I am more on the British side compared to most who are American these days. With the advent of Quirks and the massive shift in the world, well things changed, and we focused more on international affairs than ever before. As one of the British favorites I moved back there, though my official backstory has me as Danish to make it seem like we aren't just almost all Americans and Brits. It has worked well for us in this new age."
"And now you are in Japan." Adrien said. "Because of us arriving here."
"Well, we've always had a presence here and various Guardians have run our agency in Tokyo over the years but not for a decade or so before I officially took charge last year." Mage said with a shrug. "And I've spent some time here regardless, so I know how this country operates well enough to run the agency. But that is enough about me and my tastes, it's time for an update on how you're doing and adjusting to U.A."
"Update?" Marinette asked confused as she finished her breakfast and the plate disappeared though her half empty coffee mug refilled itself as she did want more.
"Periodically throughout the year, at key points when we have time, I will be asking for an update from you two to see how you are doing." Mage said. "It's why I waited here for you two to join me for breakfast as you have today off and just dealt with a major incident, so I figured it was the best time for one. This is mainly me just making sure you're adjusting well to the new society you are in and, well, it is a bit of change for you guys given that you are from the past. I do care for your wellbeing and not just because it is my job or because of my failures that led to this point."
"Oh, that, I was thinking of you wanting an update on other things." Marinette said. "Like with Midoriya, All Might, and all the hero stuff that is going on."
"Well, that is part of it." Mage said. "I wasn't planning on one until after the upcoming Sports Festival and the internship offers you are bound to get had come in but, well, the incident yesterday was unexpected and beyond what any new students have had to deal with in the school's history. Seeing as you have the day off I figured that now was a time for it while also providing you with my own update on the aftermath. I am still a member of U.A.'s faculty so I am privy to the status of the investigation and can pass on stuff to you that you can't repeat thanks to the secrecy spells I have employed."
"That would be good to hear." Adrien admitted. "Alright, we don't mind giving an update even if it is early in the year."
"Yeah, we have a good feel for things now." Marinette said. "And as for adjusting, we've done pretty well in that department given the circumstances. I won't lie, it is still hard to think of our powers as Quirks, to realize that we now live over 200 years in the future from our old life and how all those from back then are gone while we also try to adapt to the new world and nation, but we've come a long way. Being with Adrien helps a lot, together we support each other as we get through this."
"Plus, we have Tikki and Plagg who've helped a lot, as have all the kwamis who are around." Adrien said though none of them were at breakfast as they were having a private kwami breakfast today, likely so that Adrien and Marinette could update Mage. "And know that our friends and family cared for us and would want us to move on with our lives and be happy, that helped a lot. The best we can do is live our best lives for them, to become heroes like we were in Paris and make the most of this new reality we've found ourselves in."
"That is good to hear." Mage said with a smile glad to hear that they were adjusting well. "It is a hard adjustment, and the world has changed so much since you were the heroes of Paris, but I am glad to see that you are adapting well, and I feel like U.A. and a normal schedule in your life is helping. Well normal for you that is as you are actually used to school and hero duties, even if it is studying to be one and not actually doing hero work just yet."
"True we are but the USJ did teach us one thing." Marinette said seriously. "The world truly has changed from what we once knew and is a whole lot more dangerous then it used to be back in our day. We have a lot more to learn and we are no longer fighting one evil mastermind and his akumas that we can purify and return to normal, we are fighting true evil in the world in the form of the villains who will kill without hesitation in this new, Quirk based, society."
"That is unfortunately the reality we live in." Mage said with a sigh. "But I am glad to see that you two understand it and are adapting to it well. I am aware of how well you are doing in class, at least heroics based as I don't care for the academic stuff, but what about in general? How have you gotten along with your new class and classmates. Already you two are friends with Midoriya, Uraraka, and Ida, but what about the others?"
"To some extent we are getting to know many of them." Adrien said with a nod. "I've already gotten to know Yaoyorozu a bit after talking to her after the battle trial. She has a similar background to me except with a loving family, so we connect on that to some extent. The nature of her Quirk caused her to focus mainly on that and not combat and she can make what she needs for combat anyway. She relies mostly on intelligence and her Quirk to win, both of which are impressive."
"But against you her Quirk is useless." Mage said. "Well, when your Quirk is active that is, but you have more then enough time with Cataclysm to close the distance on her before it times out."
"Correct, as good as she is she can't hold me off for more than 5 minutes at the moment." Adrien said. "In time it will get longer, and she is actually good at helping me improve it I believe, but at the moment, so long as I am withing striking range I outclass her. It's how I won, and I made sure she was ok afterwards."
"She does strike me as the kinda girl who is confident in her abilities but not prideful or arrogant like Bakugo is." Marinette said, she hadn't had that much interaction with the recommended girl other than on the bus to the USJ, but she had a good feel for her so far. "She is well aware of her abilities and intellect but is also naïve, sheltered, and innocent at the same time due to her upbringing as indicated by her casual, natural, and non-lewd attitude to nudity. This is the first time she's really interacted outside her family's usual social circle and it's probably a bit of a culture shock I think. That and she's finally realizing that she has limitations to what she can do."
"Any idea what they might be?" Mage asked. "You two are more insightful to this then most given your past experiences so you can help out all your class with many things though they can also return the favor and spot things you two might miss."
"I have a sense for what they might be from our brief fight." Adrien said. "She's confident in her abilities but she's too reliant on plans and intellect. If they go array such as facing an opponent who can nullify her powerful Quirk or against someone who's speed can keep her on the back foot she'll lose, and I don't think she's used to experiencing that. It's not like Chloe though, for Yaoyorozu it's more she just needs to break out of her bubble and come to terms with her limitations and push past them."
"If I had to guess, there will be a time when she is forced to face her shortcomings in a rather blunt way." Marinette said. "Against Adrien she can brush it off a bit due to his Quirk countering hers but if she loses to someone else, especially if it is an overwhelming loss, I'm not sure how she'll handle it."
"There's also the fact that she's a recommended student." Adrien said. "So, she'll see herself as being held to a higher standard, one she met when she placed first in the assessment test, and do so herself even though she isn't held to a higher standard. I think she'll crack under that pressure if she fails in the field, in the classroom she's the smartest and won's fail there. I'm going to try and help her; we spoke of this and her lack of martial training and I'm going to help her with a staff fighting at some point but there's only so much I can do as my style is rather unique and I have no formal training."
"That is a good start though." Mage said with a nod. "You two are coming from a place of better training and that will be a factor, don't lord it over them and put them down, but raise them up to your level. You will all be heroes together, so it is best you all get along. There will be those you can't work with personality wise but hopefully they are few."
"Yeah like Mineta." Marinette grumbled. "Even though he knows I'm taken he is still a little pervy towards me and really bad with the other girls. He'll be hard to work with. Well, that and I, er, may have gone a little overboard when I fought him."
"That wasn't a fight bugaboo." Adrien pointed out. "You crashed through a window and kicked him into the ground, off a wall, and then into his own ball field before he really knew what hit him."
"He needed to know that us girls won't take his shit." Marinette said. "But as a future hero I will do my best to work with him though if he sets a toe out of line I will slap him into next week."
"Mineta is an anomaly." Mage said. "And how he's not in jail already I don't know. Back in your day he'd never get near U.A. but things changed during the dark days of the Quirk Wars and even now they're not at what they were when you vanished. We still believe in the whole innocent until proven guilty and no punishment based on unproven claims, but Mineta it is clear he's skirting the line at best and past it at worst."
"There is one advantage to knowing that Mineta is a perv though." Adrien said surprising them. "We know he is one so the girls can stay away from him, or hurt him like Marinette did, if he tries anything. He'll be a lech, but you can deal with it pretty quickly as his Quirk isn't the most offensive, you just have to avoid his balls."
"Please don't say that, that sounds so wrong." Marinette said. "Why does the perv have to have a Quirk which is perfect for double-entendres I don't know."
"Neither do I but it's hard to avoid them." Adrien said with a sigh. "I guess we'll just have to ignore them."
"True and so long as he still does his hero duties I can ignore him, and if not then I can kick him again." Marinette said. "He's hard to work with due to his nature but manageable. Then there's Bakugo and Todoroki. They're hard to work with because of their personalities."
"Todoroki I'm not sure about but we know he's the son of Endeavor." Adrien said. "And from what I've learned of that dude, he's intense and driven to be number 1. I can't imagine what it would be like to be his son. Most likely he has some serious daddy issues that he will have to resolve if he is to grow. He shuts everyone out and walks to his own beat but that will change in time, we do have 3 years together after all. He'll be forced by something or someone to deal with his issues head on and then he can begin to overcome them."
"I've fought along side him briefly." Marinette said. "And seen what he can do in battle, along with some of his limitations, so I know he's probably the strongest in class with instincts that likely rival mine and Adrien's. However, he does still need to learn that he can make friends and rely on others as well."
"I think it will be best for you two to leave Todoroki alone for the moment." Mage said. "His issues are his own to work through and in time I am sure that he'll deal with them in his own way. Adrien, you have a better chance of relating to him but hold off for now. Wait until he's more open and then deal with him and share your similarities if you feel that is for the best."
"Ok I can do that." Adrien said with a nod. "Other than him, the one no one can get along with is Bakugo. His personality is terrible, and it is a little odd that it is tolerated here to me."
"He's definitely strong and proud but he got humbled hard in the battle trial, and it has both driven him to be better and made his personality worse at the same time." Marinette said. "When he lost to Midoriya he had to deal with that for the first time in his life and seeing Todoroki's power likely shocked him. There's no question that those instances will motivate him to get stronger and work harder. His drive to win is what will make him a great pro, and his skills likely why he's tolerated as people often think they can improve someone, but I agree, his personality is terrible."
"It will take the right person to get through to him, if that person even exists, and someone should try to at least curb or punish him for his behavior." Adrien said. "And we don't know him well enough to do help him just yet. He respects strength and a challenge that makes him push his limits though. I for one intend to try and give him that someday should we ever face off so that he can understand that I'm not some pushover."
"Bakugo dances to his own beat." Mage said simply. "At least from what I've learned while observing at the school and most people seem to be fine with leaving him at that so long as he doesn't go too far. He's highly intelligent and resourceful as well. Of your class, he has the biggest upside other than Midoriya and their rivalry will help that I think. Again though, leave him be for now but if he does go too far don't hesitate to tell someone."
"We can do that." Marinette said with a nod. "I don't mesh with his personality though I do respect his strength, instincts, and speed."
"A fight between you and him would be interesting." Mage said. "But that is for another day. How about the rest of the class?"
"Really we haven't had the time." Adrien said. "I spoke with Ojiro and Hagakure yesterday as he saw my balance and wanted to learn it though I can't teach it while Hagakure was there as well and wants some stealth training which I can assist with. However, Ojiro is a hand-to-hand specialist, so I've asked to train with him to teach me a few things. One thing yesterday taught us was that our weapons can be broken so we'll have to be able to fight without them. Our strength is good and will help but there are many Quirks that can counter or resist that, so we need some form of formal training."
"Yeah about that." Marinette said looking at Mage. "How did that happen? I thought our weapons were supposed to be near indestructible with only Adrien's Cataclysm being known to destroy them."
"Honestly, I am not sure how that happened." Mage said with a sigh. "I checked in the aftermath and your yo-yo was completely destroyed. It's an item made of magic, so it is highly durable but not indestructible. As you pointed out, Cataclysm can destroy it but that is pure destructive energy. Whoever this Shigaraki is, he has a powerful destruction-based Quirk if it can destroy your yo-yo. I will make a new one, it will be ready by the end of the week so you will have to do without one until then."
"Thank you, I think I can manage without it." Marinette said. "As Adrien said, we should know how to fight without weapons so this will be a learning experience for me. Plus, when we are in PE kits we won't have a weapon anyway unless I ask for one with my Quirk."
"That is a good way to look at it." Mage said. "And practicing with your class will help."
"That it will." Adrien said before asking something he wanted to ask since Mage said he'd update them on what they knew about the incident at the USJ. "But back to the incident now that we are on it, is there any update on him or that warp guy?"
"Alas no, there are no record of either of their Quirks in the database, they are both rare Quirks so we can narrow it down and the few that are similar don't belong to people matching their descriptions, one of them being you Adrien but you were naturally cleared already." Mage said with a sigh. "They're either using aliases, not citizens of Japan, which is extremely unlikely, or actively refused to register, all of which is not good as it allows them to hide. It is of course illegal not to register your Quirk, but they are clearly villains of the highest order, a crime like that is nothing to men like them."
"So, we are back to square one with them?" Marinette asked worried at that. "That isn't good."
"Pretty much." Mage said. "72 villains were captured at the USJ, almost all were small timers with lengthy but unimpressive wrap sheets and many outstanding warrants. They aren't helpful as they just followed the simply plan and hoped that their numbers worked. Regardless, they are looking at at least 10 years in prison for this, but most are going to get double minimum due to recidivism and their outstanding warrants. A good two dozen will never see freedom again so that was at least a boon."
"What about the bird thing?" Marinette asked. "All Might punched it out of the USJ."
"The Nomu as it was called was captured a few miles away by the police." Mage said. "And it was surprisingly brought in without issue. They are questioning it now so we may have some answers as one of the 3 actual threats was arrested but it appears to be unresponsive though it will follow basic commands."
"So that's a start." Adrien said glad to hear that at least there was something being done even if finding Shigaraki and Kurogiri seemed unlikely. "What else is being done?"
"This was a serious incident, a direct attack on U.A. in broad daylight no less, and an attempt to kill All Might, both of which are almost unheard of." Mage said. "So, it is being handled seriously and efficiently. I am in the loop as I am part of the U.A. staff and we are all in the loop but that is it."
"What can we do?" Marinette asked. "You know that we can help."
"I know but right now you can't do anything." Mage said shaking his head. "You are students and not heroes, so be students. Study, have fun with your friends, go to class, go on dates, and get ready for the Sports Festival. That is coming up and the school is keeping it as is with extra security so you will get to enjoy that."
"The Sports Festival?" Adrien asked. "What's that?"
"It was in the briefing materials, but I can tell you both overlooked it as it wasn't right away." Mage said. "So, I'll briefly go over it for you though it will be covered soon. The U.A. Sports Festival occurs every year in the first semester and is a chance for students to show off their abilities. All 4 branches of the school compete, though the Business Course doesn't usually partake and instead do their own thing during it. Usually, it highlights the hero course but there's always one or General Studies students who advances and show enough potential to be granted a shot at transferring into the hero course. In addition, the top Support Course student usually has the skill to show off as well."
"Ok so it's kinda like a sports day." Marinette said. "But bigger I take it."
"Much." Mage said with a grin. "Since Quirks became more common, sporting events like the Olympics fell to the wayside because of the desire to see Quirks in action was too irresistible. This led to the various hero schools around the world holding sports festivals to show off. Over time, U.A.'s became the biggest and most watched in the world, so it is the premier one. It's huge and all 3 classes compete, one each day, as they whittle down the students from the whole student body down to an individual champion. It's great for the Hero Course students as it really shows them off to pro heroes who all watch it."
"Oh, sound fun." Adrien said.
"It should be." Mage said. "And you will get more information on it at school, but you should start training for it as soon as you can. I expect you two to give it your all and try to win it. You are students, have fun with it and do your best."
"We will." Marinette said with a nod. "It's what is expected at U.A. so we will do that and try to win it."
"Good." Mage said getting up as his now plate vanished though he refilled his teacup and picked it up. "Now enjoy the rest of the day off, train, study, do whatever. I have to attend to things at the agency below us. We will have another chat like this after the Sports Festival when you get your internship offers, and I expect you to many so don't disappoint me. I'm looking forward to seeing you two do well in it."
With that Mage vanished as he always did when he left. He was right though, they had to remember that they weren't heroes anymore, just students studying to become them in this new age of heroes. They should have fun with school stuff when it was presented to them, and the Sports Festival sounded like something that would be fun.
"Well, what shall we do today?" Adrien asked his girlfriend. "We do have the day off and are all caught up on homework."
"I have an idea kitty." Marinette said playfully as she reached up, cupped his cheek and leaning in before breaking away just as she was about to kiss him to get up and saunter towards the door to the atrium and their rooms, making sure she was swaying her hips just a little as she walked. "Let's pick up where we left off last night, especially now that we are protected for a while."
"Anything for you my love." Adrien said with a grin as he got up and followed his girlfriend back to his room, it was certainly going to be a fun day off.
I think I will leave it there for as this is T rated after all, so I'll leave it up to y'all's imaginations. These catchup chapters with Mage to make sure that they are doing well and integrating to the new normal will appear from time to time, often between major arcs as a way to transition them and have a little more Marinette and Adrien focused chapters but they may begin to decrease in time as the story progresses. However, that is all I have for y'all so I will leave this chapter off here. If you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Do keep the reviews coming as I like hearing from y'all as you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep producing the best work I can for y'all to enjoy. Until next time.
