Here it is, the twenty-fifth full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released a little early as I had the time to edit it and the next chapter is going to be much shorter so I can get that out at the normal time with ease. I have been making so much progress with the draft (again at least 3 more chapters since the last time I uploaded) though this is a long, slightly meandering chapter compared to the others. I am sorry for the meandering of it, there was a lot to tell and I didn't feel like breaking it up but the next few will be shorter as they focus on one aspect each of the next major arc that y'all know is coming so hopefully I can get those out pretty quickly as well, around drafting and editing for this and my other active stories that is. That is all the administrative stuff I have for now and there are no questions or guest reviews to address here, though do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from y'all, so I will leave this note here. That means that it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 25th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.

Chapter 25: Starting Their Internships

Mage sat at his desk in the office reserved for the Guardian in charge of their Tokyo agency doing paperwork of all things. He only had a small amount of his consciousness present, the bare minimum he needed to do this particular task, but he still hated it. He was an immortal being with ultimate power over magic as he was its embodiment in this world and still he had to do mundane paperwork.

Alas that was just one of the prices the Guardians had to pay to maintain their cover as international heroes within the current society, and all the bureaucratic bullshit fell on them as the leaders of their agencies. In the past Mage had dealt with this when he ran the Paris agency during his cover there and now he was doing it in their Tokyo one. Well, at least he was used to it and the Japanese system was one of the best and most efficient in the world, so it wasn't too hard compared to dealing with the American or British systems and even they were manageable compared to the civil law ones.

Putting his pen down and sighing in relief at finishing the latest batch of reports he had to read and sign off on regarding the patrols his sidekicks here had done in the last month, along with the crimes solved or prevented and arrests made during those patrols. The reports were important as it determined the pay they got from the government, though the Guardians supplemented that so that those who they hired were well compensated in the over saturated hero society that was Japan.

While the Guardians had their followers, known as the Sub-Guardians, for the most part their roles were set by millennia of precedent in a rigid structure that their commander didn't change. The exception was the New York agency, their head base, where their followers did staff it. Everywhere else they sourced local hero talent and recruited a mix of the best candidates and those with the most unique Quirks.

Their sidekicks didn't know the true nature at first but if they proved competent and loyal they could be let in if the Guardian in charge felt so inclined. When that happened, they could become followers with all the rights and privileges that came with such a station though as with everything there were costs to it as well.

That wasn't the case in Japan as they'd never had a full time Guardian presence in the nation until last year when Mage came over in preparation for the Miraculous duo's arrival, though various Guardians had temporarily run over the years. As such, the sidekicks here were all taken from the various top schools in Japan, mainly U.A. and Shiketsu but others as well if they showed promise. Mage had taken the time to get to know them and he didn't change anything from the running when he took over making his job all the more administrative.

In reality that was a good thing as it allowed him to focus more on the Miraculous duo and his work at U.A. but he still had duties to execute as the leader of a premier agency in a nation's capital. It was also why he was in his office right now just in case he had to have a meeting, something he expected to have soon as today was the start of Adrien's internship with him and he had a fellow Guardian coming in to help with training, so formality dictated that he meet the other Guardian in his office.

The office itself was a large, spacious room with a fine ornate, wooden, desk, high end computer terminal on one side, bookcases filled with books and awards, a set of sofas in the middle with a table between them, a full conference table at the far end and 4 comfortable chairs in front of the desk. It was all a little fancy for Mage's tastes, but the top agencies had these things, so he had to keep up appearances with his own agency.

The Guardian's agency was the same building that Adrien and Marinette lived in on the top floor though they never used the agency entrance on one side of the building but the residential one on the other side. The building itself had the agency on the lower half, complete with rooms for the sidekicks to live in and top-notch training facilities, while the top half was a residential building ostensibly for those who had the funds to pay for a place above a hero agency but in reality was the Guardians and their followers living quarters for when they were in Tokyo.

As such, the sidekicks had no idea that Mage was housing the exchange students and Adrien and Marinette had never met any of the sidekicks yet. That would change soon as Adrien would officially be living with the sidekicks this week as he was Mage's intern but that would come later when Adrien came here from U.A. It was a bit much having him go there just to come back today but he had to get his case and it was to keep up appearances as none of the other kids in his class knew of Mage though that would also change soon.

Mage was lost in thought about his plans for the day with Adrien, everything was in place minus the person he needed here, that guy still hadn't showed up, but Mage knew he'd be here in time just his own time and not Mage's. Adrien was in for a real tough day today as he was going to be thrown right into the training Mage had planned for the internship, as well as the lessons Adrien had to have to learn about being a hero in the current society. It was as Mage was thinking this that his desk phone rang with the intercom light on.

"What's up?" Mage asked as he pressed the button and activated the speaker function at the same time. "Has my colleague arrived?"

"He says he's your colleague but he's not one of the Guardians that run this agency boss-man." A bubbly female voice said in American accented English with a thick southern drawl meaning that it had to be one of the more senior sidekicks and the one with the most unique Quirks that Mage had ever encountered since the advent. "He's not even a hero, he's some bureaucrat wearing a suit and he's American. Some northern yank I'd say."

"What's his name Beth?" Mage asked with a sigh, he had a gut feeling that he knew who it was but not why he was here. "And has my actual colleague arrived?"

"Oh, he arrived a few minutes ago and went straight to the gym to take on the more martial arts orientated sidekicks to see how good they are and then beat them to show how good they can be according to him." Beth said happily. "I'm much more a straight brawler so I'm on phone duty for a bit. Ben has a workout scheduled though later so he'll be around when your intern arrives."

"Thank you Beth but can you tell me this newcomer's name?" Mage asked. "I am busy so if he's not important then please take a message and send him on his way."

"It's Hito while I'm in Japan though the accent does confuse people." A new voice said, and Mage groaned to look up to see the unassuming man that was Demos in his office, the door closing behind him. "And you need a less distracted sidekick on phone duty."

"Beth, you let him past?" Mage asked to the intercom incredulous at how someone so strong could be such an airhead. "You realize that you aren't supposed to do that, right? Never mind, we can discuss this later. Hito is a colleague of sorts and has permission to be here so it's ok. Go back to work and don't get distracted again."

"Righty-o boss man." Beth said cheerfully as Mage ended the call.

"She's a bit of an airhead but can punch through titanium as if it was paper and it takes a shit ton of force to injure her." Mage said as Demos walked in wearing an unassuming black government suit and long trench coat that no doubt hid the many blades the man liked to carry. "But I presume you already know all about her."

"Beth, the submissive half of the pro hero and Guardian agency sidekick known as BB." Demos said in a slightly bored tone. "Originally from the backwoods of Mississippi and believed to be Quirkless until the dominant half, Ben, accidentally triggered their Quirk at age 8 and turned into Beth who had been his twin but was consumed in the womb due to Chimera Syndrome. That mixed their Quirk genes thus creating their unique Duality Quirk were two people share one body. Doctors theorize that Beth's abilities were the base of what Ben's Quirk would have been had they been born twins while Beth would have had a different but similar Quirk."

"I get it, you're as well informed as you always are." Mage said. "And if you are here then you have something important for me but knowing you it will be cryptic and will cost something of me."

"Information is my game, well that and fixing messes you Guardians make, so of course I'd know about all the sidekicks here seeing as I have to sometimes rely on them to do things for me, through intermediaries of course." Demos said with a grin. "And yes I do have some intel for you that you will find useful, but you are right, I can only be vague, and it will cost you."

"Why does that not surprise me, you always have your own agendas." Mage grumbled. "Your dad Solon was just like that, and Athena is an annoying meddler with that wisdom of hers. No wonder you got your ass ostracized back in the day."

"I got all my parents' good qualities." Demos said with a note of feigned fondness in his voice. "And when Dominus recruited me after my ostracism he knew just how to use my skills and where they could be best applied for the betterment of myself, the Guardians, and the world. However, we aren't here to reminisce about the past, I do have something for you that you will need to know."

"I'm listening." Mage said noting the serious shift in Demos's voice. "What will it cost me though? Nothing is free with you so don't try to deny it."

"A favor in the future when I call." Demos said simply. "There are always times when I could use a little magic to help me out of a situation and you can be quite sneaky when you want to be."

"Fine providing this plays out as you say, and I am presuming this has to do with your precognition." Mage said. "You wouldn't come to me otherwise."

"Astute Mage, yes this does have to do with my precognition that Dominus granted me thanks to your screw up, you mistake was my boon, so I do thank you for that." Demos said with another grin. "I can't control the visions when they happen but when they do I never forget them. Also, to preserve the future I only get vague visions and sense, but I always know what must be done. In this case I think it would behoove you to make your first patrol with Adrien be in Hosu City on the third day of his internship though you should make it a night patrol, that city really comes alive then."

"Hosu?" Mage asked recalling what he'd read and seen and having a feeling he knew what this was about as the pattern had emerged with the last place that was hit. "Are you sure? It isn't far so it's not out of the question for me to go there as it is part of Tokyo, but it is out of my jurisdiction."

"Yup, it is the happening place, soon it will really catch fire I think." Demos said as he turned to leave. "Take your intern there, it will really help with the transition, trust me."

"I don't but you aren't often wrong, so I'll check it out with Adrien and a few sidekicks." Mage said as Demos left the room. "I just hope that this isn't as bad as I think it will be."

Mage reached out to the intercom and hit the button to call the sidekick on duty his conversation with Demos already on the back of his mind as he needed to focus on the immediate future not a few days from now. He needed to prepare for Adrien as he would be here soon.

"Beth, make sure everything is ready with my colleague, my intern will be here soon." Mage said to the girl. "I need to prepare a few things."

With that Mage turned off the intercom before she could reply, though knowing her she was still talking as if the intercom was still active and got up to check a few last-minute things. He hoped that this internship would be boring but with Demos's appearance he knew that things weren't going to be. This was going to be a long week, Adrien had better be ready for whatever it might entail.

"I still can't believe you got an offer from Mirko." Izuku said to Marinette as they all gathered in the train station near U.A. in their uniforms with their cases to get their respective trains to their internships. "She never makes an offer, like you are the first as far as I know. It's got something to do with her being some new age hero with no agency or base and some solo hero thing she has going on. It's a rare treat to see someone like her work up close."

"Yeah it was a surprise for sure." Marinette said noting a slight discomfort from Uraraka over Midoriya's geek out over Mirko and knew that it was a pang of jealousy that the girl almost certainly didn't understand. "I couldn't really say no plus she is really agile and kicks a lot so I can learn a lot from her as I do rely on speed and agility a lot when I am not using my Quirk."

"Where are you meeting her?" Izuku asked. "She doesn't really hang around one place too long so it's often hard to pin her down."

"I have the address of a random gym in Osaka and will spend the train ride there figuring out how to get there as I've never been to Osaka." Marinette said pulling out a sheet of paper with her instructions from Mirko that she'd received when she'd accepted her internship offer. "What about you? I've never heard of Gran Torino?"

"Yeah he's an older hero who doesn't take interns and is basically retired at this point but he has some experience training powerup Quirks like mine and wants to help out so I can't say no to his offer." Izuku said and Marinette didn't need to glance at Adrien to know that this almost certainly had to do with One for All, but Midoriya was being vague about that fact for obvious reasons. "I need all the help I can get with my Quirk so maybe he has the answer I need to get control over it."

"Yeah I was really worried about you Deku, it was so hard to watch your match with Todoroki." Uraraka said the worry clear in her voice as Ida finally joined them having gotten his ticket to Hosu where he was interning. "It was an amazing battle but hard to watch at the same time."

"Thanks, Uraraka, it was too much I'll admit so this will help." Izuku said with a smile at his close friend as he clenched his now scared right hand. "Ida, are you ok?"

"Yes Midoriya, I am fine." Ida said though something seemed a little off, but they all chalked it up to what had happened to his brother at the hands of the Hero Killer and as he hadn't said anything they left him to it. "I should be off though, we are U.A. students, we can't be late to our internships."

"True, but you know you can talk to us about anything." Izuku said as the others nodded. "We are your friends after all."

"I know, thank you." Ida said before he headed off to his train, none of them seeing Todoroki looking at them from the background deep in thought about the look he'd noticed come into Ida's eyes recently.

"Ida is right, we'd better be going." Uraraka said. "See you in a week Deku, Marinette, Agreste. Have fun and learn a lot. I can't wait for stories from your internships."

"Will do." Marinette said as Uraraka headed out.

"Yeah, see you in a week." Izuku said with a smile before he went to his train leaving the couple along.

"This will be harder than anything we've faced so far." Adrien said quietly in French to her. "But we need to do this and get through it."

"I know kitty but it's just a week and you are at our base even if you are staying with the sidekicks so it will be easier for you, but we will get through this." Marinette replied in French as she squeezed his hand. "Call me when you can, and I'll do the same but definitely message as much as possible. Stay safe and don't do anything reckless. We aren't licensed yet."

"You too, bugaboo." Adrien said before he leaned in and gave her a lingering but chaste kiss on the lips. "Love you."

"Love you too." Marinette said as she gave him another quick kiss before they reluctantly went their separate ways, Marinette to the train to Osaka and Adrien the train they usually took to Tokyo.

It didn't take long for Marinette to reach the train she needed for Osaka. Thanks to U.A. being in Musutafu, there was a large station in the city with bullet trains to other major places all over Japan. Add in the advances in technology and the way Quirk society worked and the trip would only take 2 and half hours. Well, the trip to Osaka at least.

Marinette used that time to check the location on the instructions she had been given and used her phone to look up where in the unfamiliar city it was, how to get there safely from the station, and more about the city. She'd been learning what she could about Osaka since she'd accepted the internship and found out that was where she was going, as well as what she could about Mirko, so she was as ready as she could be by the time the train finally reached Osaka just after noon.

The instructions told her to get to the location no earlier than 4 so Marinette just grabbed a quick lunch from a noodle shop in the station before she decided to walk to the location. It would take the time she needed to get there a little before 4 and allow her to familiarize herself with the city somewhat.

The only annoying thing was that she was occasionally stopped by people who recognized the uniform and wanted to talk to her, especially after they recognized her as one of the semifinalists from the Sports Festival, but she always politely engaged briefly before moving on. It did serve to distract her enough to reach the location shortly before 4. She had to double check the address to make sure she was at the right place before she went in though just to be sure.

Where she was was a standard looking, 4 story gym in an unassuming middle class, mostly residential, neighborhood. It wasn't what she was expecting at all but from what she'd learned about Mirko was that the woman was anything but normal or by the book, so this was likely par for the course when dealing with her. With a shrug, Marinette walked forward and to the gym's entrance.

The door was unlocked, and Marinette walked into what was clearly a standard entrance room with an unmanned desk opposite the front door, a few doors behind the desk and in the side walls that led deeper into the gym, a set of sofas, chairs, and a table that was a clear waiting area in on corner and a few drink machines and vending machines with health and energy options in the other. However, there was no one else there and Marinette looked around a little confused as the door closed.

"You're early but not too early, good." A confident, feminine voice said to Marinette's side. "Dupain-Cheng, right?"

"Yes, that's me." Marinette said turning to see a woman walking towards her from a side door that was closing and as soon as she saw and recognized the hero she was interning under she bowed respectfully to her. "Miss Mirko, a pleasure to meet you."

"Just Mirko is fine and no need to bow, I don't care for formalities unless they are forced upon me or when I make a rare mistake." Mirko said and Marinette raised herself to her full height to get a good look at the Rabbit Hero in person. "I care about action and speed; things I know that you have."

Mirko was a slightly below average height, around 5 foot 2, excluding the long which rabbit ears on top of her head, but other than her height nothing about Mirko could be called below average. The woman had long, waist length white hair and sharp red eyes that were a stark contrast to her caramel brown skin.

She was also one of the most muscular women Marinette had ever met, perhaps second only to Alya's older sister. She knew that she was deceptively muscular and toned under her uniform, well most now knew that because of the Sports Festival, but that was because of her enhancements that would have been given her by her Miraculous. Mirko by contrast was all-natural muscle that her Quirk no doubt helped with. Her arms were clearly powerful, and Marinette didn't doubt that she impressive abs under her costume but that was nothing compared to her legs.

Marinette knew that the term thunder thighs was derogatory to women but with Mirko that would likely be a complement and possibly taken as such as her legs were unreal. Then again her Quirk did give her the abilities of a rabbit similar to how Tsu's gave her the abilities of a frog, complete with a fluffy tail that Marinette could see edges of, so it made sense that her legs were impressive as a rabbit's hopping power was in their hind legs.

Mirko herself was in her usual costume that consisted of a simple white leotard with purple accents on the arm holes and around her crotch and a large yellow C on the center over her rather impressive bust. She had a set of metal plates around her waist though not connected in the center, a white fluffy collar around her neck, white gloves, and thigh high, dark purple boots. The only part of her costume that wasn't on was the special metal support items that she usually had on her feet to make them look more like a rabbit's and add power to her kicks.

"Of course, I am aware of your reputation." Marinette said. "No jurisdiction, no agency, no sidekicks, no work study students, you just hop all over Japan wherever you are needed, and those things would slow you down."

"Correct, good to see you have a brain as well." Mirko said with a grin. "All that is true, I don't have an agency, but I do own or lease properties all over Japan to make sure I have some place to base my operations in when I'm in an area, and to generate some extra revenue as well. I am the number 6 Hero; I am not without funds."

"I do not doubt it." Marinette said unsure what this was all about but going with it. "I take it that this gym is one of them."

"It is one of my 3 properties in Osaka and the only one you will see while you are here." Mirko said. "It is usually open to the public as it does generate revenue without my need to support it, but it's closed while I am here as it is my current base as I work a few investigations that I have leads on in Osaka. It will serve our purposes well."

"I see." Marinette said biting her lip but going for it as she knew that Mirko was all about bluntness, so she's likely respect it if Marinette was blunt with her as well. "If I may ask, why did you make me an offer? You are one of the two top 10 heroes who didn't go to U.A. or Shiketsu, and you are a notable solo act who hates teams or team ups. It's why you've never had a sidekick or taken any students for work studies or internships. In fact, as far as I am aware I am the first offer you've ever made."

"That would be correct as well, I like someone with the initiative to learn and to ask the honest questions regardless of how uncomfortable they might be." Mirko said with a grin. "So, I'll be blunt with you as well. I am in need of someone who has the skills to keep up with me to call in my busts this week as I will be making several later this week once I have confirmed locations from the Osaka police force. However, I need someone who won't get in my way but can call in my actions and as an intern you can't engage unless it is in self-defense, and no one will get past me unless they kill me so you're perfect."

"I see so I am basically going to shadow you for the week, see how you operate, and call-in police and ambulances to clean up the messes you make and take the villains to the local hospital." Marinette said. "Am I right?"

"Pretty much." Mirko said with a laugh at Dupain-Cheng's accurate reference to the need for ambulances, her foes almost always needed them when she was done. "I wasn't going to make an offer, but the timing worked out and I always watch the U.A. Sports Festival to see who the next heroes will be and see if any have potential. I'll admit, your agility and moves impressed me. You dodged Ingenium's brother at his max speed, held your own against Endeavor's son, and even fought through pain and blood with no shame. You remind a bit like me back in my school days, so I figured why not make an offer to one of the bronze medalists. An offer from me is unique so I knew you'd accept."

"Well thought out." Marinette said as she saw there was a lot more to Mirko than her personality showed but then again she had reached the top 10 of Japan's hero charts without going to a big-name school so she had to be good to get there. "This is just what I was expecting from it really and I can keep up with you, so I look forward to seeing your style in action."

"I'll be the judge of that because our first two days I am going to put you through hell to make sure you are as good as I think you are." Mirko said with a grin. "This gym has everything, including residential rooms on the top floor for those who need them, so you will go up there now and to the room I've marked for you. Change into your costume and then meet me on the 3rd floor, that's the martial arts floor where there is space for what I need. Tomorrow you will be in standard gym clothes on the other floors as I assess your strength and speed with the machines there and a few tests of my own devising."

"Very well and what should I do with my shoes?" Marinette asked.

"Leave them in your room, this isn't a house or school so no need for anything special." Mirko said before gesturing her thumb over her shoulder. "The stairs are there, go and change and meet me on the 3rd floor in 15 minutes."

Marinette just nodded and made her way to the stairs as Mirko walked to a different door. She had to admit it was a strange first meeting with the number 6 hero, but she knew that it wouldn't be normal. It was certainly going to be a learning experience though and Marinette was going to maximize that.

As such, she hurried up the stairs, her abilities easily able to take them fast enough to get to the 4th floor within a minute without tiring, and she entered it to find a long corridor with doors on each side. The one nearest the stairs had her hero name on it so she opened it to find where she'd be staying for the week.

It was a standard, traditional Japanese room filled with tatami mats, a sliding door to the closet that would have the futon pillow and blankets, and a small floor desk and cushion in front of it in a far corner. Off to the side was the bathroom with shower. All in all, it was simple and practical, just like the week would be.

Marinette quickly put the case down on the floor by the door as it closed and took off her uniform. There was a hanger and pegs by the door, so she hung it up as soon as she was in her special bra and panty shorts.

Once that was done, she reached down to her abdomen and pressed her Miraculous with her right middle finger to activate it. A second later she was in her usual full costume with the large buckle change at the center. Opening her case, Marinette pulled out her utility belt and put it on, though it only had two pouches for her protein cubes at the moment and a third with basic first aid supplies, grabbed her yo-yo and clipped it onto her right hip. She hesitated for a second before she grabbed her mask, put it on, and headed out of her room.

From there she went down a flight of stairs and pushed open the door to the third floor. As soon as it was open, Marinette walked in and stopped. She was in a floor sized room that was just one large martial arts mat with padding on the walls though there were markings on the floor to show where people could train. Mirko was standing in the center grinning and waiting for her.

"Come on in, Ladybug." Mirko said using Marinette's hero name for the first time. "It's time we started your first test."

"Ok but what is it?" Marinette asked as she entered and moved to stand in front of Mirko but at a respectful distance from her.

"Simple, you have 5 minutes to show me what you can do." Mirko said her grin getting wider. "Show me that skill that challenged Todoroki. This is private property so you can use Quirk, weapon, and whatever else you might want to use as you try to land at least one hit on me to show me you can keep up."

"What?" Marinette asked but that was all she got out before Mirko launched herself at Marinette.

She barely had enough time to get her arms up in a cross guard before Mirko was on her as fast as if she had a Miraculous of her own thanks to her leg muscles. Her knee slammed into Marinette's arms hard and blasted her back and into the padded wall, the only thing protecting her arms from breaking was her suit. As Marinette hit the padding, all she could think about was Adrien and hoping he was having a better time than she was and not fighting a battle loving rabbit.

At the exact same time that Marinette was hitting the wall in Osaka, Adrien was hitting a similar padded wall in the martial arts section of the main gym in the Guardian's agency in Tokyo. The only differences were that he'd been punched into it with an electric infused punch that felt worse than what he'd gotten from Kaminari in the battle trial and that he hadn't been sent there by a battle loving rabbit but by a smiling primordial Guardian.

After they had split up at the train station in Musutafu, Adrien had hopped on the bullet train back to Tokyo that he and Marinette usually took when they wanted time to chat and think after school and soon he was back at the Guardian Agency where he technically lived. However, as he lived in the residential part that was above the actual agency he had never used the main entrance to the building. Well, that and Mage usually just used his power to transport them back to the apartment as it was easier for him to do so.

This time though, Adrien headed into the building in the main entrance to see a large, reception area staffed by support workers who weren't heroes but employed for the standard administrative stuff that an agency needed to run. It looked just like a standard reception area at a big company with a welcome desk for visitors, doors leading further in to the building, a waiting area to one side and other things one would expect in such an entrance hall.

Adrien was a little nervous entering it until Mage appeared, complete with his hooded lilac cape, and welcomed Adrien. After that he simply led Adrien into the agency and gave him a brief tour. It was apparently an average sized agency that focused mainly on supporting other heroes in Japan with a main focus on the ward in Tokyo that they were located in, but anything deemed to be international fell on them as it was an internationally licensed agency, so it was their prerogative to sort it out.

The agency itself had about 20 sidekicks who worked for it and twice as many support staff who kept it running and it had the facilities to house them complete with rooms, a few gyms, a pool, health spa, hospital quality medical center, and a couple of dining options including one western fast food franchise outlet. It was basically its own self-contained world that took up half the building and the garage below it for cars and other vehicles.

All in all, Adrien was surprised by how well run and large it was. He'd never really thought about agencies before but now that he saw it he saw the extent of the super human society they lived in, and this was mid-sized. He knew that the Ida family agency had over 40 sidekicks and Endeavor's agency was something else entirely.

Still, Adrien only had a bit of time to take it all in before he was told by Mage to drop his things off in the room he'd be staying in and change into his PE kit for some training in the main gym. Mage wouldn't say any more than that, so Adrien just left it as it.

He was taken to a room in living quarters and given one of the junior rooms for new sidekicks or employees that was basically a simple studio apartment. It was nice and had a single bed, a bookcase, desk, computer terminal, and small kitchenette with an en suite bathroom. He was surprised but he quickly stored his stuff, changed, and headed to the gym.

The gym in question was the main one and on one of the top floors of the agency before the apartment complex that was between it and Adrien and Marinette's actual accommodations at the very top of the building. It had everything in it as it covered a whole floor with different areas for different things.

There was a whole area for cardio machines, another for weights and other specific muscle group machines, a place for mutant Quirk or heteromorphic humans to work on their unique bodies, a large area for the various martial arts, and doors to more simulated combat areas. There was also a special simulator room but that was on the tech and support floor above them, and Adrien wouldn't see it while here.

Almost as soon as he got into the gym he saw Mage in his usual attire minus his shoes in the martial arts area. Adrien headed over there and took his shoes and socks off in the designated section before stepping onto the mats and approaching Mage.

It was as he did that he noticed that Mage wasn't alone. He was with someone else and as Adrien approached he could feel the power radiating from the man and it dwarfed Mage's own powerful aura. The only person who he'd met on this level, and in fact that other person was on a level above the current guy with Mage, was Dominus. However, once Adrien saw the mark he knew why this guy was so powerful.

The man who was with Mage stood a few inches taller than him and was slender with a lean build that was corded with muscles. He was clearly European or American as he was white with bright yellow, blond hair that was short but stood straight up as if was permanently electrified. His keen brown eyes that took in everything with an expert glance and Adrien could see an age behind them that was similar to Dominus's. As relaxed as he looked, Adrien could tell that the man was in a ready, fighting stance and could likely attack in a split second if need be.

Unlike Mage, this man was dressed for the situation. He wore a simple pair of bright yellow pants that were the kind a martial artist would wear and that was it. He was topless and Adrien could see the pure muscles the man had. Still all that paled to the one strange thing about the man. The tattoos on his body.

His entire left side was tattooed, including his face. The tattoos were of yellow lightning bolts that seemed to come from his hairline and go down his face, over his left eye and that side of his mouth, down his neck and onto his arm and chest. The chest ones continued down to his waistline and under it and Adrien saw the tattoo end on his left foot with branches for each toe there. As for his left arm, it continued down it, branching around it, and ending with a branch along each finger and his thumb. To add to it all it was very realistic and looked like it was alive with sparks running down the bolts occasionally.

By contrast, there was only one tattoo on his right side. It was on the inside of his forearm and like the rest of his tattoos it was done in a yellow lighting pattern but this time it formed a single word and a number after a space. The word was in English and its simple said BOLT 4. That tattoo told Adrien all he needed to know about the man and who he was, though the other tattoos told him just as much. Well, that and Adrien could feel his hair start to stand on end in this man's presence as if the air around them was made of static and there was a slight scent of ozone around him.

"Adrien, good to see you made it." Mage said in his British accented English as Adrien reached them. "I'd like to introduce you to a colleague of mine and a superior who has agreed to come and help you with hand-to-hand training for the next two days. Meet one of the original Guardians and the primordial representation of Thunder in the world, Bolt, the Guardian of Thunder and the martial arts expert of our order."

"Bolt, Guardian of Thunder, it is an honor to meet you." Adrien said in English and bowing deeply to the man before him. "I thank you for helping me."

"We shall see how much thanks you have when I'm done." Bolt said in American accented English, though it wasn't a costal accent so Adrien had no idea where in the states this guy might be based or favor, as Adrien rose to see him grinning at Adrien. "I'm going to be a tough task master for you, and I believe in hands on learning because you're less likely to forget something that way. Just be glad that I'm not using my main weapons."

"Like Mage's gauntlets?" Adrien asked a little confused.

"Correct." Bolt said with a nod. "All Guardians have a knife that is our link to our order, but we don't use it to fight, rather we use our own weapons of choice for that, when we don't use our element that is. I've always preferred my fists and feet though, so I use a set of knuckledusters, but they are not on me right now, well not this projection of my conscience that is. We are doing this old school."

"What do you…" Adrien began before suddenly Bolt was on him having covered the distance between them in a flash as quick as well lightning as sparks flared up around him.

Next thing Adrien knew was that he'd been punched in the chest and thrown back into a padded wall with a crash and a spasm as if Bolt's mere touch was electrified which it probably was given what he actually was. Adrien slid down to the base of the wall, but he wasn't out and with a groan he got to his feet and looked at Bolt who was smiling at him as he lowered his fist.

"Good, you can take a controlled punch from me." Bolt said as he got into a fighting stance and Mage backed up away from them while a few sidekicks who were working out came to watch the sparring match between a senior Guardian and Mage's intern student they'd been briefed on. "Now come at me and show me what you can do so I know how to beat the right forms into you. Get ready Cat Noir, the next two days you're my bitch as I drill true combat into you."

All Adrien could do was shake his head and charge. He knew that he couldn't get out of it so he may as well see what it was like and take on the insane Guardian before him and hope that Marinette wasn't having a similar experience. He had no idea what he was about to enter.

Of course, Marinette was currently in a similar situation to him. She'd been kneed into a wall and now Mirko was getting ready to attack. She needed something to slow her down and she needed it fast. Well, her Quirk was perfect for this so she quickly activated it and hoped that it would be something to give her an advantage against someone who was basically a human rabbit.

Almost immediately a long, narrow, whistle in a ladybug print appeared before her. Marinette knew what to do with a whistle so as soon as it appeared before her she grabbed it and blew hard from the sitting position she was in. She didn't hear a sound come from it but as soon as she blew it she knew what it was, it was a special whistle for dogs, but it apparently worked with rabbits as well.

Mirko had been standing waiting for Marinette to get up and come at her when she blew it. Almost at once, the high-pitched whine of it hit her sensitive hearing and she involuntarily fell to her knees, her hands going to her ears at the sound. It was unexpected but she'd read about Dupain-Cheng's Quirk before she'd made her an offer. It looked like it was all it was cracked up to be.

Marinette saw this as well and despite the soreness she was in she got to her feet and spun her yo-yo as she kept blowing on the whistle to keep Mirko at bay as she didn't doubt that the pro would capitalize on one second of lapse time. As soon as her yo-yo's speed was up to where she wanted it, Marinette threw it at Mirko so that it wrapped around her arms and bound them to her. Then, with a tug and a jump, Marinette launched herself at Mirko.

The entire time she kept blowing so that she could reach the woman unchallenged. She managed this and proceeded to knee Mirko in the face as hard as she could while the hero was bound there unable to move. Of course, Mirko was still a top 10 pro so the hit was all Marinette would get as Mirko adjusted to the situation, but it was still a hit, so Marinette had passed.

As Marinette's hit landed and she rode Mirko down to the ground, driving her head into the mat in the process, she stopped blowing the whistle for a second and Mirko acted the moment she wasn't hearing that terrible whining sound. Her long, powerful, right leg shot up and slammed into Marinette's back sending her flying forward and dislodging the whistle from her mouth in the process.

The whistle hit the ground as Marinette flew a good 10 yards before hitting the mat face first and rolling on landing out of instinct. As she rolled, she turned and got to her feet as best she could to see Mirko not wanting to take her eye off the hero for longer than necessary.

The Rabbit Hero had continued through her kick to roll over and get to her feet. She turned to Marinette grinning, blood running down her chin from a bust lip as she wrenched her arms apart to free them from the yo-yo's string. Then, with a little hop, she cleared it to avoid Marinette ensnaring her again and landed on the whistle, crushing it, while also standing on the string with one foot to avoid Marinette from pulling it back.

"Impressive Ladybug." Mirko said as she spat out a gob of blood on the floor. "I like a good scrap and for a student you can give me one, been a while since someone so young landed a blow on me. We aren't done yet though. Come at me and let's finish this."

Marinette just grunted as she charged, dropping the string because she didn't need it anymore, and pulling out a protein cube to eat as she closed and leapt at Mirko while dismissing the whistle as well to speed up her recovery in hopes of getting another one before the time limit ended. She was going for a kick to the head and that was were she made her mistake.

Mirko just grinned as she ducked back under the kick and launched one of her own right into Marinette's back as flipped backwards to keep her own momentum. Marinette was blasted directly upwards and into the ceiling with enough force to leave a Marinette shaped imprint in it when she hit it and the thing was made out of concrete. Only her enhanced durability and costume saved her from damage as she fell back, stunned and winded. That was when Mirko delivered her finishing blow.

As Marinette fell back, Mirko jumped up. There was a moment where they passed each other, and Marinette saw the white-haired woman grin manically as she raised her left leg high over her head and then drove it straight down and into Marinette's chest. The was a boom as Marinette's descent was sped up and she slammed into the mat hard enough to go through it and into the concrete floor beneath it. Nothing felt broken thanks to her suit, but she was definitely out of the fight.

"Not bad." Mirko said as she landed next to Marinette and knelt down on the mat. "You held your own against me and even landed a hit thanks to that Quirk of yours, well that and your weapon which is seriously underrated. Been a while since I felt something like that. Pretty clever. What did you do to get that item?"

"I knew that the only way to get to you was to get something to slow your down and get an edge, that's what my goal was when I activated my Quirk." Marinette groaned as she slowly got her breath back. "It gave me that whistle, so I blew it. I think it was a dog whistle, but I guess your hearing is just as good."

"Pretty much give or take a few hertz." Mirko said with a shrug. "One of the few ways to get me is sound, it's part of why I have to be so fast to avoid it, and you did well there. Then you used your weapon, something few in Japan use, to tie me up and aid your hit. Not bad at all. However, after that you stopped blowing and that cost you."

"Yeah but you are a pro and I'm here to learn from you." Marinette pointed out. "As soon as I made one slipup I was going to pay for it."

"True and your first lesson is to always keep an advantage going until your opponent is down and out cold." Mirko said. "That was a good assessment though and you are clearly able to keep up with me if you can land a hit like that. I still need to see your strength and other non-Quirk aided skills but that's for tomorrow. For now, let's go to the basement where the spa is. The water there is special, at least I pay for it to be, and will restore you. We can chat more there. I'll see you in the bath Ladybug."

With that Mirko got up and left Marinette in the floor. It took her another moment to recover before she groaned and got up. She was sore but a bath would help, and she might learn more with Mirko tomorrow even if it was through pain. Hopefully Adrien's learning wasn't as painful.

"Right, I think it's time for a break." Bolt said as Adrien landed hard on his back with a groan as static flared across his spasming body. "Mage, you got something for a quick heal?"

"Ben, help Adrien out with the stuff we have for muscle spasms and electrical overload." Mage called out to someone who Adrien couldn't see. "Bolt, let's go to my office, give me an assessment and what we need to do once Adrien is refreshed."

"Honestly, it's not bad, definitely a good base to build on." Bolt said as the Guardians left. "First…"

Adrien just groaned as he looked up at the ceiling, his muscles spasming slightly from Bolt's touch as he'd thrown him with the last move. For the last hour, Adrien had been sparring with the Thunder Guardian to see how good he was. He hadn't landed a hit, but he'd not been too bad in the session. Sure, he'd been punched, kicked, thrown and otherwise hit repeatedly but he was still standing. Well, not anymore but still, he wasn't unconscious which was a good sign.

"Here, take this." A kind voice speaking American accented English with a slight southern twang to it as Adrien felt something land on his chest. "That will help with muscle fatigue and bruising. Wash it down with this, it's a special energy drink for muscles spasms that should balance you out after taking those electrical charges. I don't know that Guardian well, but his Quirk is called Living Lighting and he's basically always electrified so sparing with him can be a bit problematic."

Adrien looked up to see a sealed sports drink bottle filled with a yellow liquid being held out to him. With a groan he sat up and a packet fell into his lap. In it was a tablet of sorts and he took the offered bottle, opened the packet, took out the tablet and ate it before downing half the bottle. It tasted good with a slight berry tang to it, and he felt his body relax almost at once as the stuff did it's work.

"Need a hand." The voice said as a masculine hand was offered to him. "You do speak English right? I've only met Bolt once before, but I know that he prefers that language and as it's my native one I enjoy being able to speak it when I can, but I do speak Japanese fluently as well so if that's easier for you though with your name and looks you're not Japanese are you?"

"Good eye." Adrien said in English as he took it, and he was hauled to his feet. "English isn't my first language but it's as good as."

"I wouldn't have guessed." The man said and Adrien turned to him to finally see who he was talking to. "But based on that kit, you're at U.A. which means you're like I was, an exchange student there."

The man opposite him was built like a brick shithouse Adrien noticed. A good 6 foot 3 at least and broad chested with powerful muscles and thick legs. He looked a fair bit like Sato after sugar in terms of beefiness though he was taller, white with a light tan, and blond hair that fell to his shoulders which was held back by a white headband with a strange logo in it that seemed to be an orange G and yellow E fused together on a royal blue circle.

The most striking thing about him though was his mismatched eyes. He was like Todoroki in that sense that his had heterochronic eyes though for this guy it was a bright blue right eye and a vivid emerald, green left eye.

He wore a simple white tank top and faded U.A. sweatpants. Judging by the amount of sweat on him he'd just finished a punishing workout and had come to help out meaning that he was likely a sidekick at the agency. This was enforced by the metal sports bottle he had in his left hand. The only odd thing though was that he had white wrappings around his chest that Adrien could see under the tank top which meant he'd likely been injured recently and was no doubt working out to get back to strength.

"Yeah I'm from Paris originally, Francois Dupont High to be precise." Adrien said confirming the man's assumption about him. "So, you were an American exchange back in the day?"

"Me and my sister were yes." The man, Ben as Mage had called him, said before he suddenly looked up to the corner and talked as if he was speaking to someone else though there was no one else in earshot. "Yes, I'm telling him Beth, be patient. I know it's hard for you but I'm in control at the moment so wait. You can meet him soon and no I don't know if he's single, but he's a decade younger than you!"

"Er I do have a girlfriend." Adrien said confused. "Ben, was it."

"Yup that's my name." Ben said looking back at him. "My sister Beth just asked about it and to tell you that she wants to meet you as well because she finds you cute and wants to spar with you, actually not sexually I assure you. As I am done with my workout she can come out soon. She's on patrol later so she gets more time today than usual."

"Um what?" Adrien asked he was a little confused and worried about the guy he was talking to. "How are you able to talk to your sister? Do you have a mental Quirk? I've heard that there are a few heroes with Quirks like that."

"In a sense yes." Ben said with a laugh before looking away again. "Yes Beth, I am telling him shut up."

"Er…" Adrien said.

"Sorry, guess I should explain as Beth is the social one and chatting up a storm in my head." Ben said. "My Quirk is one of the most unique ever recorded. It's a transformation Quirk called Duality and, well, it's different from anything else I've ever seen."

"How so?" Adrien asked confused.

"Have you ever heard of Chimera Syndrome?" Ben asked.

"No, can't say that I have." Adrien said shaking his head. "What is it?"

"It's a very rare phenomenon caused when one zygote has multiple sets of genes in it, at least that's the simple explanation it is well beyond what I know." Ben said. "For me it occurred when, for lack of a better word, I ate my fraternal twin in the womb and because of how developed the twins are, the one that survives has two sets of DNA because of it. That's what happened to me and Beth. I ate her in the womb."

"Um what?" Adrien asked now totally lost. "But you speak as if she's here."

"Oh, she is." Ben said with a nod. "You see, we may be the only recorded case of chimera syndrome of our kind in the Quirk era. Due to the new Quirk gene that humans developed, something unexpected happened and when I ate her our Quirks meshed into one. We didn't know until I was 8 and accidentally triggered it and changed. They thought I was Quirkless until then but turns out I have Quirk and it's something else."

"I still don't get it." Adrien said confused.

"Ok Beth I'll show him but that means you're doing the explaining." Ben said looking off to the distance again. "Yes, I will help you, I am the brains of this operation."

Adrien just blinked now really confused but before he could say anything, Ben popped the stopper on the bottle in his hand, raised it to his lips and took a deep draft of whatever was in it. He then pressed it back down and closed his eyes and shuddered slightly. Adrien didn't know what to expect but what happened next was beyond anything he could have guessed.

Ben suddenly shrunk though he was still about 6 feet tall, his hair become longer and fuller, and his muscles more defined but also softer. Then, all of a sudden, an impressive bust burst from his chest which suddenly explained the binding there while his face feminized and his hands became smaller and slenderer.

It took only a few seconds but now Ben was no longer in front of Adrien. Instead, a striking blond woman stood there, and she looked even stronger then Ben as there was a sense of power to her muscles. Her eyes opened and Adrien almost took a step back as while they were the same color as Ben's, they'd switched so that right was green and left blue now.

"Howdy." The woman said in an incredibly thick southern drawl. "I'm Beth, Ben's cooler, hotter, younger sister."

"Um." Adrien said as he tried to process what was going on.

"Basically, we're two people who share a body." Beth said with a grin flashing a set of painfully white teeth that had to be artificially whitened. "I'm the submissive one as I was eaten in the womb but when Ben drinks a special trigger liquid that we keep secret and is likely associated with one of our Quirks before the merging hence the need for it."

"Ok I guess in a world of Quirks this can happen." Adrien said. "But I take it that there's more to your Quirk than just transforming, especially if you went to U.A. as an exchange student."

"You're a smart one, aren't you." Beth said. "Correct, there is more to my Quirk then there appears to be. I am super strong, super tough, and super durable. Basically, I am about as strong as All Might would be at 30% of his power give or take but that's just Ben's estimate based on All Might's power. I can take damage, but it takes a lot hurt me. It was my power that got us into U.A., along with the uniqueness of our Quirk, but Ben was the one who wanted to go in the first place. He's a huge otaku."

"Otaku?" Adrien asked confused.

"It's a term for someone who's consumed with anime, manga, and other Japanese things like that, kinda a derogatory term to some though not to him." Beth said. "Ben's really into that stuff and was a typical fat nerd back in the day. Me, I was the all-American girl, still am, and love it. You know, guns, trucks, cowboy boots, the whole southern shebang is me to a tee. However, U.A. is one of the best out there and I knew that it would be easier for Ben to do high school here, he already knew Japanese, which was a bonus, so I made sure we got in through the exchange program."

"I see." Adrien said completely taken aback by the person he'd met. "But he's ripped now. Why?"

"Yeah we found out at U.A. that our power is more than we initially believed it to be." Beth said. "I hit a wall early on and couldn't get stronger at all no matter how much I trained. We figured out that it was because my strength is proportional to Ben's, so if he got stronger then so did I. That's just what he did and continues to do every day and it really helped bond us as he finally felt part of the team. Over time we developed the ability to communicate when the other is in charge towards the end of our time at U.A. but as Ben is the default he usually only talks for tactics. Really useful after years of us just being able to see what the other one does."

"Wait you can see what the other does?" Adrien asked.

"See, feel, experience, yup the who nine yards." Beth said with a grin. "We share memories as well. Let's just say that my own experiences are why Ben is so good with pleasing the ladies if you know what I mean."

"Um that sounds wrong." Adrien said.

"Meh I'm from Mississippi, we're as bad as Alabama when it comes to stereotypes, but I just gave advice, I turn off when he's actually with a lady just as he does when I'm with a stud though I can't spend the night as I'd turn back into Ben during it and that would be really awkward." Beth said as if that answered it. "So yeah that's how I ended up at U.A. While there, and thanks to our Quirk, we were drafted by the Guardian agency, well that and our American heritage as they like international students. You must have impressed them at the Sports Festival to be recruited and to get one to 5 big wigs here, that's big."

"I guess." Adrien said.

"Ah Beth you're out." Mage said from behind Adrien, and he turned to see Mage and Bolt approaching. "Good, let's go over your patrol route for tonight while Adrien has some more training."

"Righty-o boss man." Beth said. "I just need to change into my costume and drink some more of my special power juice to last that long."

"Whatever you need to do." Mage said as they began to head off. "Let's get going."

"Cat Noir, let's resume." Bolt said with a grin.

Adrien just nodded as he turned to face Bolt. It was time to go back into the grinder. He wondered how Marinette was getting on with her internship. He missed her but he'd talk tonight and see how she'd been doing.

"Come on we're almost there." Mirko said happily as they bounced from building to building in one of Osaka's seeder areas. "You're keeping up well Ladybug, don't let me down now."

Marinette wasn't out of breath or anything, but she was struggling to keep up just because of how much she had to do in an unfamiliar city while on her first ever patrol with Mirko though patrol was not the right word. Hunt was a better word as they went from crime ring to crime ring to bust them up.

The last few days had been a blur for Marinette, and it was only the third day of her internship. After her test from Mirko, she'd gone to the bath and for the first time bathed in a traditional Japanese style bath which meant naked with Mirko. That had been an interesting experience to say the least and the Rabbit Hero had loved her piercing for some reason.

Still, it was relaxing and rejuvenating after their sparing but the whole washing each other's backs was new her. Regardless, Marinette embraced the culture as she told Mirko about herself, sticking to the truth as best she could but tailoring it to avoid the full truth of her origin and how she was actually from the pre-Quirk era. At the same time, she learned of Mirko's strange path to the hero world and how she became the number 6 hero.

It was a good experience and Marinette was glad for it. They had repeated it the next day after Mirko spent the morning and afternoon pushing Marinette past her limits in the gym and worked her out harder then she'd ever worked out before. Given her own enhancements, it was a lot and she'd really impressed Mirko with her work, though her legs were weaker than the pro's, but her arms were stronger. She'd so far past all of Mirko's tests but this was the big one, could she keep up on the hunt and stay back while Mirko did her thing.

Mirko was in Osaka because she'd tracked a few criminal gangs here and was determined to route them out by herself as there was only one hero in the area she trusted, and he was busy with a drug bust his agency was about to execute. She'd spent two weeks working with the police to get the intel and evidence she needed to act and now she was doing just that. These weren't anything like the League of Villains or the dreaded Hero Killer, who was her next target apparently as he too moved around so she was excited to hunt him, but they were still serious criminals that earned her attention.

All Marinette could do was follow in her wake and call in as soon as Mirko attacked. The woman was relentless, reckless, and fearless. She'd told Marinette in the bath that she lived every day as if it was her last so that she would be ready when her time came and had no fear of death. She literally just jumped into the situation, usually through something or someone, and began kicking. She'd then jump out when she was done, and they'd move on to the next location.

Right now, they were approaching the next place on Mirko's list and all Marinette could do was follow as Mirko leapt off the building and down to a lower one aiming for the skylight there. Under the skylight was a conference room with a bunch of men and women around it discussing something. Apparently they were a criminal gang who trafficked black market tech, drugs, and sex slaves and had been hard to track down.

Mirko had gotten a clue a month ago and learned that the bosses were meeting in Osaka to discuss an international deal with a sister gang in Seoul and was now ready to strike. They were in her path only for this day but that was all the number 6 hero needed.

Marinette just watched as Mirko leapt down and kicked through the glass ceiling and into the conference room with a battle cry and set to work with a laugh at the carnage she was unleashing. She was going to knock them all out and then the police would deal with the rest as she moved onto her next target, a Quirk enhancing drug manufacturer on the outskirts of the city.

"Dispatch, this is Ladybug." Marinette said into her yo-yo's receiver as she flipped it up and began speaking to the police contact she had been given by Mirko. "Yes, I am Mirko's intern student … no I am not engaging then villains … yes, she's leapt into it again … uhuh … no it's a skylight this time at the third address on the list she provided you … yes send the ambulances as well, they'll all need it … no she's still fine … thank you."

Marinette sighed as she closed the yo-yo. A moment later, just as the sirens could be heard, Mirko jumped out grinning and looking unharmed but for a few scratches that likely came from the skylight she'd jumped through.

"That was fun, cops on their way?" Mirko asked and Marinette nodded. "Good, onto the next place, they'll handle my cleanup after I have hand delivered them this gang."

Marinette just nodded again as they headed out to the next location. Adrien had told her the night before that he was going patrolling for the first time today as well. She wondered what his would be like and hoped it was less chaotic then hers was. She had no idea what Adrien was in store for.

"Alright patrol time." Mage said to Adrien and a few other sidekicks who'd been gathered for it, including Beth, speaking Japanese the entire time.

The rather obnoxious but fun-loving American was true to her word about being all-American with her hero outfit. It was the picture of the southern American stereotypes.

She wore a pair extremely short, blue denim shorts that were apparently called Daisy Dukes and which showed off her ass spectacularly, a sleeveless red flannel top tied I a knot at her chest and around her large bust so that it held her breasts and showed off a spectacular cleavage. She topped it off with a white cowboy hat, matching boots, and a belt with a large BB belt buckle in the stars and stripes. She even had a set of large revolvers in thigh rigs on her bare legs though they were loaded with special tranquilizers and an eagle handled bowie knife in a sheath on her right boot for emergencies.

Mage himself was in his usual outfit though he had a mask on now. It was an archaic looking thing in the strange mesh of G and E that was the Guardian's logo apparently and covered his face diagonally. It looked odd on him, but the rest was the same.

"Where are we going boss man?" Beth asked in horribly accented Japanese.

"A tip from a contact of mine." Mage said. "We are going to patrol an area in western Tokyo that needs extra hero presence. I will personally take Cat Noir with me and we will hit one part of the area, the rest of you spread out in pairs and cover various areas but you should never be alone. Be vigilant, something big may go down and be ready to help out but defer to the heroes who call that area home. Manual, the Normal Hero, is the head of the main agency there so he's your point man."

"Oh cool, been a while since I've been there." Beth said happily.

"Where are we going?" Adrien asked as he didn't know that hero at all.

Mage just grinned and gave his response. It was two words that Adrien didn't know yet but would soon see him face his biggest challenge to date.

"Hosu City."

Ah a nice little cliffhanger for y'all to enjoy. I think you know what is coming next and which of the pair is going to have to deal with what is to come. I know there isn't much on Marinette's internship but beyond her initial training session there wasn't much to tell other than her dealing with Mirko's enthusiastic personality, but I am sure y'all can imagine what Marinette went through. The real focus is coming in the next few chapters as the Hosu Incident nears. The only other thing to mention here is that BB (Ben and Beth) is the first approved OC from a follower called Angelwings2002 and after a bit of sorting it out BB was the result. For any wondering or who may actually know, the nature of BB's power is heavily drawn from the characters of Herschel and Roy Daniels from the series Super Powereds that is in a lot of ways an American version of MHA only set in college, more cutthroat in how the selection system works, set in current day not the distant future, and involves less powered individuals and many with broken powers that don't work right. It's a great series and I recommend it to any who like MHA as there are a lot of similarities. The big difference between BB and Herschel/Roy is that in this case its both genders and I've tailored it more to how Quirks work. However, that is all for now so I will leave it here. If you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Do keep the reviews coming as I like hearing from y'all as you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep producing the best work I can for y'all to enjoy. Until next time.
