Here it is, the forty-third full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released at the usual weekly time as promised. This is the last of the chapters in the arc to be based at least in part on a School Briefs chapter (the second half is) and the penultimate chapter before the main part of this arc breaks upon the heroes but y'all will have to wait for that. Anyway, that is all the administrative stuff I have for now though and as there are no questions or guest reviews to address here, though do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from y'all, I will leave this pre chapter note off here. That means that it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 43rd full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.

Chapter 43: Nighttime Thoughts

Ochaco was coordinating the evacuation of the area as the villain tore up the city behind her. The heroes who were more suited to direct combat with it, heroes like Deku, were handling it while Ochaco helped evacuate before staying back to help as best she could. She was a hero after all.

It was just as the last civilian was evacuated and she turned when suddenly the villain was on her. It was so close that she couldn't make out more than that it was a large one as she instinctively closed her eyes to embrace the inevitable. However, at the last minute there was a flash of green with sparking electricity and the villain was blasted away from her.

At the same time, Ochaco felt herself in the air. This wasn't like when she used her Quirk to make herself weightless, however. No, this time she felt herself in a pair of strong arm that made her never want to leave them. She opened her eyes to see that Deku held her in his arms as he carried her like a princess away from the situation.

"Deku?" Ochaco asked surprised.

"Relax Uravity." Deku said using her hero name. "It's all good, I got you."

She did and let him carry her up and onto a rooftop of on of the less damaged buildings in the area. There he put her down quickly, his cheeks an adorable red at carrying her and Ochaco knew that hers were just as red as she processed what had happened.

"What about the villain?" Ochaco asked pushing down her embarrassment and enjoyment at Deku carrying her to focus on the situation. "Has it been beaten?"

"I sent it towards the mark where Kacchan, Todoroki and Ida have set up a trap that Yaoyorozu set up to catch it." Deku said. "It should be over by now. Thanks to you and the others the civilians have been fully evacuated with no casualties. You were amazing Uraraka."

"No, you were Deku." Ochaco said stepping forward unsure why she was doing so and seeing him go red from her proximity which was beyond cute, and something told her that only she had this kind of reaction from him. "You noticed the villain, you coordinated us, you sorted it out so that we all did what was best to save all these people. You're the amazing one just as you always are Deku."

"I was just doing what All Might would." Deku said and Ochaco smiled, he'd never been good at compliments but there was one-way Ochaco could finally show how she really felt for her best friend and fellow hero. "I can't call myself a hero if I can't save people after all."

"I know and soon you will be the number 1 hero." Ochaco said as she closed the distance and put her arms around his neck. "But to me, you'll always be my number 1 hero."

With that Ochaco lent up and she could tell that Deku was leaning in too. This was it, at last she was just about to…

Ochaco gasped in shock as she sat up, her body covered in a cold sweat, her heart beating at a mile a minute, and her face so red she had the be giving off her own light source from it. What the hell was that? She'd been asleep and suddenly her dreams shifted to, well, that. What was going on with her?

She'd been having some unremarkable and forgettable dream from the moment she'd hit her futon the moment that the lights went out. After the day of training, plus the catching of Mineta and the slumber party with some of the Class B girls she'd been drained and passed out the moment she was in her futon. She needed as much sleep as possible what with more training planned tomorrow for them, training that would no doubt be a lot harder knowing their insane homeroom teacher.

Her mind had other ideas, however. It had to be a mix of what Aoyama had said, what Marinette had whispered to her the time the girls went to her place in Tokyo, and the slumber party talks of love, it had to be. All that had set her off and her subconscious had just put it all together in the form of that dream to mess with her.

That had to be it. After all, there was no way that she liked Deku like that. He was her best friend, her inspiration, and in a lot of ways the hero she looked up to and wanted to be as odd as it was given that he wasn't a hero yet. She did not have romantic feelings for him. Right?

Then why did that dream feel so real? Why did she enjoy the feel of being carried in his arms like a princess and wish to one day actually enjoy that feeling for real. And why was she so frustrated that the dream had ended right as she'd been about to kiss Deku the way that she knew that Marinette and Agreste kissed, the way lovers did?

Ochaco shook her head to try and clear it as she sat on her futon and took a few deep breaths. She needed to clear it and quell her beating heart. There was no way she had romantic feelings for Deku, he was just her awesome, amazing, awe-inspiring best friend, that's all. She didn't feel anything beyond that for him and yet the dream had been so real that it took all her denial to not wish that it had indeed been real.

That wasn't the only problem though. Ochaco knew she was covered in sweat, the room was hot what with 7 girls crammed in it and it being summertime, but at the same time she knew that the feeling in a certain part of her wasn't sweat but something else and something much more embarrassing for her.

Girls got it just as boys did, it just wasn't visible for them when they did, well depending on what they were wearing at the time, but it happened and Ochaco wasn't some prude, she understood that kinda thing and as a girl well into puberty she had had it a few times. However, never before had it been in regard to someone she knew though and what with the dream about Deku, well she really needed to get her mind off it and not think about what she was sure wasn't true.

Thankfully the distraction presented itself to her in that moment when she realized that there was a pressure on the futon to her right. A glance and even in the darkness Ochaco could see that it was Mina's head that was on the side of Ochaco's futon by her knee, her right arm across her chest. It must have been on Ochaco when she sat up and flopped over the pink skin girl who was currently snoring, completely dead to the world.

That made sense though. The girls knew they'd be up at the crack of dawn again, so they'd gone to bed early to get as much sleep as possible, but Mina was still in her extra lessons, and they hadn't ended by the time the others went to bed. She must have come back at some point and tripped over Kyoka on her way to her futon and just passed out there. It certainly would explain why wasn't sleeping normally but was diagonal and towards the wrong end of her futon with her head on Ochaco's and her left foot on Kyoka's side where the other girl in their row lay on her side sleeping peacefully despite Mina's foot.

Ochaco knew that she should go back to sleep, but she wasn't able to at the moment after the dream that was still in her mind and her heart was still racing a bit from what it had entailed. As such, as a way to calm it down, she looked around at the other girls in her class to make sure that they were all sleeping peacefully. That would allow her mind to calm down to get back to sleep.

To do so, Ochaco turned and got onto her knees to look at the other girls in her class and as she did she started to imagine them all as fully licensed heroes. They would make a great team the 7 of them and as they were at a base for a team of heroes, Ochaco couldn't help but picture them as a full team and what their roles in one would be.

First off on any team there was the intel unit that gathered information ahead of time and the girls of Class A had one of the finest potential units out there in Ochaco's mind. Between Kyoka's Earphone Jack Quirk and Toru's Invisibility, clear to Ochaco at the moment as the girl apparently slept naked, they had it down pat to a tee. Kyoka could find anyone and spy at long range with her excellent hearing. Then, anything that they needed visuals on and other kind of intel that Kyoka couldn't get, well no one was better than Toru on that regard when it came to steal ops. Yup, information gathering was covered.

Next came power but unlike the boys, they didn't really have any true heavy hitters for that. However, the girls didn't need that because it came to destruction and heavy lifting as the next two on the team had that covered. First off Mina's acid could get through most things, it was nice and strong and would only get stronger with training so they had destruction covered and she could move quickly with it. Then there was Ochaco's own Zero Gravity Quirk. Once she got her nausea under control she would be their heavy lifter and her hand to hand was good, so she had that covered as well.

As Ochaco looked over her friends, her eyes fell on the two pillars who'd hold the team up sleeping next to each other in the opposite row as the next members of her hypothetical team. They were the ones who would serve as the deputy leaders and who represented the two key aspects needed on any team, planning and emotional strength.

First up was Tsu, sleeping all cozy at the end of the row, her emotional maturity was beyond any in the class and her level head that never got rattled would keep them as a team together through the worst of situations. Next to her, oddly not looking her usual pristine self but sleeping normally on her side, was Momo, the team's tactician in Ochaco's mind who could plan and prepare for anything between her brain and Quirk making her an ideal deputy.

However, as Ochaco turned to the body partially next to her, there was only one girl who could hold the final role on the team. It was indisputable amongst them, she was their leader and inspiration, the one who'd take charge of a team and make the tough choices on the battlefield that they would all follow was Marinette. She was the best of them without question and her natural leadership had made her a beacon for the girls in both classes after what had just happened and while Ochaco drew more support and inspiration from Deku even she couldn't deny the importance Marinette had to the girls in their class.

Ochaco wouldn't have thought it on the first day when they were introduced to the two French transfer students that the short, cute, slender, unassuming girl with adorable short twin tails and slightly oriental but not Japanese features was, well, a true force of nature. Marinette hadn't given off that vibe when she'd arrived. Yes, there was an air of experience to her, but Ochaco had missed that as she was so happy that the boy who'd saved her in the entrance exam was in her class and had gotten in as well. That had distracted her from reading too into the French pair but soon that was dissuaded.

It was hard for her to pinpoint the moment that Marinette showed she was more than expected but over time she did and established her place atop the girls in the class. If Ochaco had to guess it was the Battle Trial. Sure, Marinette had placed second in the Quirk Assessment test but that was just the first day and didn't show combat or battlefield abilities. The Battle Trial was the real test and when she took care of Mineta it showed that she was more than what she seemed. Add in how she'd shown her athleticism then and it was clear that she'd had training.

All that would be explained to Ochaco, along with Ida and Deku at least, but still it was impressive. From there Marinette had just gone from strength to strength. First it had been how she'd handled the USJ incident. Momo had told how she'd created a drone that had allowed Marinette to assess the whole situation and send Agreste to save her, Kyoka and Kaminari. During this, Marinette had gone to the center to be one of 5 who'd made it there to face Shigaraki and even then she'd kept her cool and known what to do while there.

That had impressed Ochaco but still, if she had to point to one moment that Marinette emerged as the leader of the girls, well there was really only one place for it: the Sports Festival. Ochaco had given it her all and done well even with her loss to Bakugo, she'd even impressed Deku with her tactics which made her happy, but Marinette had been something else. She'd come 5th in the obstacle race, highest of the girls and done so with ease. Then she'd strategized the Cavalry Battle to ensure she got enough points, while putting Tetsutetsu in his place, to easily advance to the final stage where she'd truly shined.

Ochaco remembered seeing the bracket and knowing that some had an easier path than others, mainly Ida and Tokoyami. That was until she saw Marinette's path. She and Ida had to face off in the quarters if both won and that was tough to choose who to support as both were good friends but in the end it had been fast, and Marinette had shown that she was better. The Kaminari match was straightforward for her as expected, and Ida couldn't match her. Then came the semis.

Just as with Deku's match against Todoroki before, Marinette's against him had been epic. That, above all else, had been the moment Ochaco realized that her friend's skills went beyond what she'd known and was truly a force of nature. She'd held her own and even at times looked better than Todoroki in their match, even taking his flames and still fighting despite her wounds. If she hadn't have spat in his face, Marinette likely would have won and she was almost as badly hurt as Deku just to lose. It showed that she was worthy of her medal and of a spot in at the top of the class.

Since then, the girl had just kept it up. Be it her internship offer from a hero who never gives them in Mirko, her finals against a hero considered to be on par with Hawks or Endeavor where she showed her planning and teamwork with Agreste more than anything else, or how she'd taken the lead with bonding the girls she'd established her role as their leader, the blip of the rescue race notwithstanding. Then there had been beast forest.

Marinette had taken charge as if she knew what to do from the start and led most of them through it without a moment's hesitation in what she was doing, including when she tossed Toru as a distraction. They could have done it without her, but she made things easier and gave them someone to follow, along with Agreste, while Deku did his thing at the front to clear the path with the other power hitters. Yup, she was their leader and if the girls were a team there'd be no question that they'd follow her.

Ochaco couldn't help but smile at that idea as she looked at Marinette in her futon. The French girl had her head towards Ochaco's side and was curled in the fetal position which made her look small and vulnerable, unlike the image she'd established for herself. That was odd and for the first time Ochaco's smile and mood faltered as she bent down to look at her friend and had to stifle a gasp at what she saw.

Marinette, the strongest of them physically and at times mentally, was crying as she slept. It was clear even in the light that there were tears falling from her closed eyes and running down her face to stain her pillow as she huddled in her futon. Ochaco had not expected that and had no idea what to do about it as her friend seemed to tremble where she was.

The only thing that Ochaco could think of was that she had to be having some sort of nightmare or bad dream to have such a reaction in her sleep. She wanted to comfort Marinette, but she had no idea how to do it and didn't want to touch her just in case she reacted badly, one hit from the girl could probably break bones if strong enough given her strength and with Marinette's Quirk, well it was random to when she was conscious so Ochaco didn't want to see what it would create when she wasn't thinking about it.

It was as Ochaco was looking that Marinette began mumbling in her sleep. Ochaco had to lean down to hear it and when she did she was more confused than anything.

"Mère et père, je me manques tellement." Marinette muttered and Ochaco realized that she had to be speaking French in her sleep, her native tongue and it had to be about back home though of course Ochaco had no idea what Marinette was saying other than the first words as they had to be mother and father, so she guessed that Marinette was homesick which made sense, but she continued and Ochaco listen to it. "Alya, Nino, et vous tous les gars, je suis désolé de t'avoir quitté. Je n'ai pas voulu, Hawk Moth nous an envoyé Adrien et moi dans le futur, il nous pris de toi. Nous ne sommes pas morts, nous vivons toujours et nous ne vous oublierons jamais tous. Je souhaite…"

Ochaco lost what was going on at that point as Marinette winced, cried more, and rolled over mumbling more that was too quiet for Ochaco to hear. Whatever it was it was clear that she wasn't have a good dream and Ochaco was worried. It sounded like something was up but she didn't know any French so she had no idea what it could be about other than possibly a bad bout of homesickness. Plus, it was likely just a dream, they all had bad ones. Still, Ochaco swore to keep an eye on her friend just in case.

Of course, she also should get back to sleep herself. They had a busy day tomorrow and she didn't want to be too tired for her training. Her mind was quieter and even with her worry for Marinette, Ochaco couldn't help but feel the fatigue return to her now that her dream that had woken her had faded. She'd check in the morning and make sure Marinette was fine, but she'd be useless to her friend if she was tired. With that, Ochaco fell back and was asleep again before her head hit the pillow, what had woken her nothing but a distant memory now as sleep reclaimed the brunette.

A sudden pop woke the sleeper up from his peaceful slumber. It took a moment for Ida to process what had happened but when he did he almost groaned. A snot bubble that had formed when he was sleeping had burst and woken him from his usually regimented sleep. He was a creature of habit and structure; it would make him a good man someday so waking like this in the near pitch-black room wasn't good. Well, he was going to have to get back to sleep right away, he had a big day coming up after all.

Even in the blackness, Ida had the sense to know what was going on and what was coming. The day before they'd woken at 5:30 a.m. to strengthen their Quirks with Class B at the summer training camp, which for Ida was a lot of constant long distant running to strengthen his legs and improve his engines. Then they'd made dinner, a terrible curry that was much needed after a hard day's training, had a good bath and then tried to sort out who would get what for the next meal they had to make.

The options had been pork or beef for the nikujaga stew. Ida personally preferred beef, his favorite dish was regular beef stew, so he'd wanted that, but as the class rep it was his duty to advocate for what his classmates wanted and after Monoma's goading of Bakugo into a class competition they'd ended up fighting over pork as the base and Ida had officiated it. Had he been a better leader he wouldn't have let it escalate to the point that it had but alas it had.

The whole thing started with an arm-wrestling contest that made sense but thanks to Monoma had devolved and almost cost them the meat entirely during the pillow fight had it not been for Agreste's quick thinking to save the day. All it had cost was 5 pillows that Class B had sacrificed in exchange for the French boy's actions, promising that one was Monoma's that he'd be going without as punishment for getting them into the situation to begin with.

Agreste had saved them meat for the coming night, but they had triple training and the choice of meat would go to whichever class worked hardest which meant them as Bakugo wasn't going to lose it even now. Still, it had been inspirational of Agreste to do what he'd done.

Ida wanted to go back to sleep but as he thought about Agreste's actions he couldn't help but think of his friend and all that he'd done for the class in general and Ida in particular since his arrival. When Agreste had first shown up as a transfer student Ida had known that he'd be good. He was considered on par with Todoroki and Yaoyorozu to be allowed to transfer to U.A. after all but that had just been the tip of the iceberg that was Adrien Agreste.

From the very start, Agreste had been something else, something of an enigma to Ida and he prided himself on being able to read people even if he'd misjudged Midoriya from the start, but he'd apologized for that, and they'd bonded over it all. Agreste though, he was different in a way that Ida still hadn't quite figured out. He came in with Dupain-Cheng and Ida instantly got a sense of experience from the pair but that was just the start.

Then he saw them in action, and it was clear that they'd been trained and knew how to handle themselves and when he'd heard they had come from Francois Dupont, the top school in France, there skills had made sense seeing as the European schools started two years earlier than the Japanese ones. That and FDHS was famous in hero circles even in Japan.

Still, he hadn't expected Agreste to have a Quirk that Mr. Aizawa couldn't test at the start. That had been surprising to say the least and then finding out what it was and what it could do, well Ida was glad that it didn't work on flesh and that Agreste was a hero in training. Cataclysm, it was a powerful Quirk that caused sheer destruction and Agreste knew how to use it when he showed it off for the first time before besting Yaoyorozu with ease in the Battle Trial with nothing more than combat skills and raw strength.

Despite that, Agreste was always overshadowed by his girlfriend Dupain-Cheng. She had a way, something that Ida couldn't quantify, that made her a leader but the way she and Agreste interacted showed that they considered each other equals with an implicit trust that existed between them. It was a testament to how well the partner system at Francois Dupont worked.

However, while most saw the strength of Dupain-Cheng, especially after the Sports Festival where she shone brightly and Ida had to admit easily got the best of him in their very brief match that taught him a lot about his own limitations, he still knew that Agreste's strength matched hers in its own way. The only people who knew that though were himself, Todoroki and Midoriya though Bakugo, who'd beaten him in the Sports Festival, seemed to have some idea as well as he used Agreste's actual name to address him. Ida knew it well though, better than anyone even the others with him that night.

That was because he'd been the one Agreste had addressed in that alleyway in Hosu were Ida lay, immobilized by Stain's Quirk and seething with rage for what that monster had done to his brother as Agreste calmly stood before him, protecting him and showing him what it meant to be a true hero. The experience, the way Agreste carried himself, it all made sense to Ida in that moment as Agreste spoke to him. Even today, Ida remembered the words Agreste had said in that alleyway.

"Rage and vengeance are not attributes of a hero Tenya. You cannot allow your personal feelings cloud your judgement lest you become the very thing you seek to bring to justice. I know this monster crippled your brother but if Ingenium is anything like the hero you look up to then he'd not want this for you. The best thing you can do now is let someone with a clear head and experience handle this. Thank the gods I am here."

Ida had carved those words into his heart in the wake of the incident and used them to remind himself everyday of how far he'd fallen into darkness back then and what he had to do to become the hero he wanted to be, a hero worthy of the title, a hero like the one who'd spoken those words, a hero like Cat Noir. Agreste knew what it took to be a hero, knew the path of darkness it seemed, and still came out stronger because of his experiences though Ida didn't know what those could be.

Agreste come to rescue Ida thanks to Midoriya's location notification, as had Todoroki, and they'd all shown Ida his folly but none as much as Agreste had. Ida would live up to that and be a true hero who deserved the name Ingenium.

Ever since that moment, the four of them had been close. They held a bond, one that could only be forged in real life or death combat and tempered by their own blood that they'd spilled in that alleyway that night when they'd taken down Stain and lived to see the morning. Ida would be like them; he'd live up to it and he'd be a better person because of them.

As such, he'd kept a close eye on Agreste, as close as he did with Midoriya, to see what he could learn from his classmate. He may have led from the front to reach the training camp, but he knew that Agreste had been the rallying point for the other boys and hadn't been surprised by that. Then, well, he'd shown that he knew what he was doing when he'd acted to avoid a catastrophe and lecture from the teachers.

Sure, they still got a lecture but that was later after Mineta had been found having first tried to peep on the girls of Class B though he'd been stopped mainly by Dupain-Cheng, and then gone after the Wild, Wild, Pussycats and ended up in a bath with Tiger due to a ruse by their hosts. Apparently that was punishment enough but still Mr. Aizawa was furious and had told them that they'd lose their meat if Mineta got out again.

To prevent that, the boys had rolled Mineta up in his futon like a sushi roll so that only his head was free and then bound it tightly to prevent him creeping on the girls, which he'd likely do despite the large, fist shaped, bruise on his jaw. He'd actually begged them to use ropes for some reason, but they'd gone with this to ensure his captivity for the night, again something Agreste had been big on.

Ida still struggled to process how Agreste had done what he'd done to save the meat and then the way he'd hung from the beam was impressive and showed a great deal of strength and skill to manage it. It just showed how skilled the boy truly was and how well he hid his talents most of the time.

When asked about how he'd managed to stop the massive pillow and hang from the beam, Agreste had explained afterwards that his mother's Quirk gave her the reactions and sense of a cat despite looking normal and he'd inherited a bit of it in terms of enhanced hearing, sight, and smell, along with improved reactions and balance, so he'd known that the teachers were coming and had acted accordingly. It had helped save their bacon, well pork or beef depending on their choice, and they were all glad for it.

As class rep, Ida planned on doing something to thank Agreste for what he did, likely offering him some extra meat in his nikujaga later and making sure that it was good as Agreste had never had it before but that was just a start. Agreste deserved more and Ida planned to show it one day as the boy had helped him more than he could know.

First though, Ida should get back to sleep as he would need it for the coming day of training. However, just as he was about to do so he realized something was off and as class rep his sense were suddenly on high alert. The entire time he'd been awake thinking of his friend and what he'd done, one of his classmates, Sato by the cadence if he had to guess, had been snoring nearby. That had stopped now, and Ida was worried as that could be a bad sign as he might have stopped breathing and he had to make sure that his friend was ok. For that he needed his glasses.

However, Ida couldn't find his glasses when he looked for them. That was odd, his case had been next to him when he went to sleep but it wasn't there anymore. It wasn't like he didn't have spares; he had a lot as he expected to break a few during the training camp, but to misplace a pair, well that was unacceptable and disrespectful to the maker of them. It wasn't like his eyesight was bad, it was 20/25 but still it was annoying to not have them. Well, he'd just have to start looking for them while checking on Sato in the process.

Thankfully Sato was just fine, just an irregular breather when he slept while mumbling about being full for some reason, and Ida straightened his blanket as he did before moving on to try and find his glasses case while also looking after his other classmates. What happened next was, well, Ida showing his caring side.

As Ida went looking for his glasses, he helped his friends out as they slept. Many had ended up in strange positions or without blankets and he had to sort that out as best he could. He did so for Koda, Midoriya, and Todoroki first, though how the latter had inverted himself so that his feet were on the pillow and head at the other end was anyone's guess. Ida just put the blanket back on his friend and went on as Todoroki was muttering about hoping someone choked on kuzumochi of all things.

From there Ida moved on to find Kaminari passed out after his remedial class in propped up on his knees, head in a pillow which showed just how tired the boy was to sleep like that. At the same time Ida ended up having to avoid a sleep attack from Kirishima and his hardened hand that started stabbing a pillow. He was fighting in his sleep and Ida just left him like that when it was clear that he wouldn't harm anyone with his actions.

The avoidance though had taken Ida to where Bakugo was, well and Sero who was off his futon and on the floor near Bakugo's feet but there wasn't anything Ida could do about that. As for Bakugo, the boy's blanket had fallen down and exposed his midriff, so Ida corrected it. Almost at once it fell down again so Ida, ever the good boy, tried again, and again, and again when it kept happening.

In the end Bakugo slept talked at him to not test him and even slept caused a small explosion so Ida left him alone and just tugged his top down carefully to keep Bakugo warm. The one good thing from all that was that in the brief flash of light Bakugo's explosion caused Ida thought he saw what he was looking for, his glasses case.

In his haste to find his glasses, Ida accidentally stepped on Ojiro's tail in the process. The act didn't wake Ojiro, a testament to how hard they'd all been training, but it did activate the tail as it was like a limb for the boy so it could react as such. Before Ida could avoid it, the tail grabbed him and threw him into the air. In what was an impressive act of sleep teamwork that Ida couldn't help but admire despite being on the receiving end of it he was thrown into Shoji's arms and was suddenly in a choke hold.

Shoji must be fighting a villain in his sleep as his strong arms didn't let go of Ida and he was slowly loosing oxygen from the choke hold. He needed to break free, but he couldn't as Shoji was out to the world and had greater upper body strength than Ida.

Thankfully, Kaminari, who was nearby, rolled onto Shoji's futon and Ida grabbed one of the boy's ankles in an act of desperation. That act briefly woke Kaminari who instinctively discharged some electricity before going back to sleep. The zap and light caused Shoji to lessen his grip and Ida got away gasping for air as he came up on the next member of his class, Aoyama.

Ida had completely lost track of his glasses now and was at the end of one of the rows the futons where Aoyama was. Even in his sleep, the half French half Japanese boy was as dramatic as ever as he was currently in some pose that wouldn't look out of place in a renaissance painting. Ida could tell this by the lack of a blanket that Ida put back on Aoyama and moved on in his search.

The next classmate he came upon was Tokoyami. At last, one of his classmates was in a good sleeping position. Tokoyami slept perfectly still on his back, wrapped up tight just as Ida would expect from the serious and disciplined boy.

"Bring them on, keep the boobs coming." Mineta's voice muttered causing Ida to look over to the wrapped-up peeper wondering what perverted dreams he was having. "Yes, all of them, the bigger the better though, they will all be mine."

Ida was going to move on from the boy when he noticed that something wasn't right about the small boy's sleeping form. There, stuck on one of the balls on Mineta's head that was part of his Quirk, was Ida's glasses case. The good thing was that he'd found them. The bad thing was that they were now on Mineta's sticky balls.

This wasn't good and left Ida with a conundrum to deal with. Only Mineta could touch his balls without sticking to them as he bounced off them, though in theory Agreste might be able to destroy them with his Quirk depending on if the balls were organic or not, and anything stuck to them would be stuck for about a day or so depending on how sticky they were that day, which according Mineta varied based on his morning toilet routine. Regardless, Ida wasn't getting his glasses case back, but he might be able to get the glasses themselves if he was careful.

It was just the case that was stuck, the glasses themselves weren't on the balls as they were in the case, so all Ida had to do was open the case and get them out. He'd have to be very careful about it though as he didn't want to get his fingers stuck as that could cause serious problems for him and be rather awkward in certain situations. He'd have to slow to do this, but Ida proceeded in his endeavor just as Mineta began to move in his roll.

"Bring me every last boobie in the shop." Mineta muttered. "You know me bro, I'm good for it."

Ida had no idea what kind of dream his classmate was having as it made no sense to him. Breasts weren't something one could just buy, well there were fake ones he presumed but still why would Mineta buy fake breasts when he seemed so fixated on natural ones? Well, it was a dream so that was probably it.

He couldn't dwell on the strange dreams of his horny classmate though; he needed his glasses. He probably should wait for Mineta to wake so that he could safely get them, but he was committed now, he just had to avoid touching the balls. That could be a problem if he got stuck but there were solutions to at least try so he continued his approach to his glasses with the care of a surgeon about to perform an incredibly precise operation.

"No not some, I said all of them, every last soft, jiggly boob you've got in stock." Mineta said. "All boobs of the world are my rightful property, and you know that."

That outburst caused Ida to recoil from Mineta. Seriously, what the hell was up with his classmate to have such a dream or claim. Of course, the moment Ida withdrew, Mineta began to roll away in his makeshift prison.

"No! don't run from me boobs, you do that normally but not here, come bouncing back to Mineta my supple and soft treasures." Mineta wailed as rolled on a crash course for a sleeping Kirishima. "You belong to me!"

All Ida could do was watch as Mineta hit Kirishima, and the glasses case opened. The glasses shot out and arced in the air as Ida tracked them with his eyes. He lacked the dexterity and agility several of his classmates had to just catch them and he couldn't use his own Quirk as it would wake everyone here and in the confines he might hurt someone in the process as well. He just had to track the glasses and hope to catch them or that they land on something soft.

Neither happened. Instead, they were batted in the air by Tokoyami in his sleep who they were coming towards, and that cause them to arc up and land on his face as if he wanted to wear them. Ida breathed a sigh of relief, picked them off his classmate's face, and put them on. Now he could see and after all this he needed the bathroom and a drink of water before returning to get a little more sleep in preparation for another hard day of training.

As he put them on he noticed something odd as he surveyed the room that he could see better now that his eyes were accustomed to the darkness. One of the futons was empty and it wasn't his. This entire time, one of his classmates wasn't present and instantly Ida was worried. They likely wouldn't be doing anything bad, Mineta was already taken care of on that front, but where could they be and who was it. Ida quickly looked around to figure it out.

It took a moment but finally he figured it out. The person missing was Agreste, the friend he'd thought about when he'd first woken up. That was odd. Where could he be? There was one explanation, but would he really risk punishment just to see Dupain-Cheng during the night when they lived together? Regardless Ida had to account for him before he did anything else, it was what a good class rep did.

However, he couldn't see Agreste in the room which meant that he would have to search the compound for him, something Ida didn't want to do. The boy was light on his feet and had shown that his stealth abilities were near the top of the class, possibly second to only Hagakure if what he'd explained earlier after hanging from a beam was true, which would make him really hard to find for Ida.

It was as Ida was thinking of this that he thought to look up. The ceiling was slanted up with beams crossing it, that was how Agreste had held one earlier, and with his abilities there was a chance he was up there for whatever reason he had to be there. To Ida's amazement his theory was right, and his eyes went wide at what he saw.

Sitting on a narrow beam above the room with his back to one of the vertical center beams, clearly wake as his green eyes seemed to shine unnaturally in the dark room, was Adrien Agreste. He wasn't doing anything that Ida could make out, just staring off into the distance with what could be called a thousand-yard stare from where he was, a look of extreme sadness on his handsome face.

Ida had no idea where that could have come from. Agreste always seemed to be a calm, laid back, chill dude to use some of the lingo of his classmates who didn't stand out too much unless he wanted to. He was highly intelligent, second in the class at the midterms to only Yaoyorozu, and he always smiled with Dupain-Cheng who Ida could see he loved dearly just as she loved him right back. So why was he awake right now, sitting above the class so as to not distract them, and looking like he'd seen more than his years showed.

Ever since Hosu, Ida had known that Agreste's level of experience was beyond what someone of their age had but looking at him now as the boy seemed to ignore him right back, Ida couldn't help but wonder if there was more to Agreste then met the eye. He knew the look of rage, pain, and loss, he'd seen it in the mirror after his brother's injuries, but this was deeper, sadder, as if Agreste had lost someone, possibly more, and that it was beyond what a normal person could comprehend. It was a strange and sobering look from the boy.

Alas, there wasn't much Ida could do. He knew to not push his friend about anything, he just hoped that if there was something that bothered Agreste he'd talk about it with Ida when he was ready. They had a bond few did after Hosu and Agreste knew of Ida's darkness, so they had a kinship there.

Still, the look on Agreste's face was something that Ida couldn't shake as he turned and left the room to take care of business and get a drink. It was a look of someone much older and more experienced than a 15-year-old kid. It was the look of a veteran hero who'd seen the worst the world had to offer, and Ida didn't know where it could have come from.

Any thoughts about that were driven from Ida's mind when he stumbled across his still awake teachers and had to avoid their room while not eavesdropping too much, finish taking care of business and then return to get some more sleep. By the time he returned, Agreste was back in his futon and apparently asleep and Ida was too the moment he lay back in his own futon, his glasses still on as he returned to the land of dreams.

Adrien couldn't help but let a small smile grace his face as Ida left the room. He knew that Ida had seen him at the end just as he'd been watching Ida work ever since the boy had suddenly woken up while Adrien was ensconced above him. It was a touching sight to watch the class rep care for his classmates as he looked for his glasses with some amusing results. It was what Adrien would expect from a leader and showed how far Ida had come as a person since his mistakes in Hosu.

It would be a lie to say that Adrien hadn't been worried about Ida's darkness after that incident, he was as he knew that inner turmoil well thanks to his dad, but Ida seemed to be back on the right path and going forward. He would make a fine hero one day; Adrien was sure of it. He just hoped Ida wouldn't push him about being awake when he shouldn't, and chilling on a beam like some stray cat.

Adrien had known that Ida was looking at him at the end. It wasn't hard for him to tell with his senses, but he ignored the boy as he kept looking at nothing in particular as he had his own things to think about and wanted Ida to just leave now that he knew that Adrien was there. They call what Adrien was doing the thousand-yard stare and Adrien knew that both he and Marinette had it from time to time when they were alone and thinking on their past for that had been exactly what Adrien had been doing, thinking of his long-lost past.

Without his lady by his side, it had been hard to sleep for Adrien and at some point in the night he woke up from some nightmare about Hawk Moth that he was having and couldn't get back to sleep again. Rather than just lie there next to his classmates, he had leapt up to the beams to get above them and think just as he would do on buildings back in Paris. He needed a moment to clear his head and think about how he'd gotten here and when Ida woke up Adrien had kept a track on him as he worked but paid him no heed as his mind dwelled on what he'd lost.

There was a lot to think about and a lot of sadness there. Sure, Mage had helped and having Marinette with him made it easier, same with the kwamis, but it was still hard. Other than Marinette, all the people he once knew, all his friends and family, were long dead and when he had moments like this he thought on that and how Hawk Moth had taken that from him.

That villain, that monster had robbed him and Marinette of a happy life in Paris and blasted them into the future. Had it not been for the Guardians and the help they'd provided, along with the reveal of who his lady was and that she loved him back, things would be a lot worse, but they had, and Adrien was more than glad for that.

Now he and Marinette had a purpose again, they were doing what they loved and had created a new life in this new world with Quirks that they'd ended up in. Watching Ida work and care for their classmates had shown Adrien that he had friends who cared for him here as well and though he'd never tell Ida, it had quelled his mind and allowed him to remember that the past was in the past. He knew that his old friends would want him and Marinette to move on and push forward and be the heroes they once were.

That was what Adrien was going to do. He would strive to show that even in this new, much more dangerous, society, that Ladybug and Cat Noir were heroes worthy of the title.

With all that sorted, Adrien had leapt down from the beam as quiet as a cat once Ida had left and gone back to bed. Though it took a while for him to sleep he was ready to resume his training and getting stronger for what was to come when he was a hero as he knew the evils that lurked in the shadows having faced Stain himself and looked into that man's eyes as they fought. He had survived that, and he knew that would face anything with Marinette by his side and that together they could make the most of this new life.

As sleep claimed him, Adrien didn't know how close that next challenge was as several villains gathered on the edge of the camp ready to act when the sleeping campers weren't ready as the storm they brought was about to come for the aspiring heroes. They knew none of this as they slept peacefully waiting for dawn and a new day of training for those same horrors that were about to come for them where they thought they were safe.

So yeah this is a very different kind of chapter as we got to see how some of the class, in this case Ochaco and Ida, see Marinette and Adrien and what they've done for them and get a bit of early Ochaco denial to start. Note that Ida was used and not Midoriya because Ida's part and actions, minus the whole thinking of and seeing Adrien of course, is based off a chapter in the second School Briefs book where Ida does wake up and does all this and yes Mineta's dialog is like that in the chapter. Also, the Mineta bathing with Tiger stuff is also in the book, it's the last part of the peeping chapter and the whole ropes thing is that apparently Mineta has trained himself to get out of ropes when tied up as he did that to go and peep again leading to the Tiger incident hence why he insisted on ropes. There is also a bit of a look at the struggles that Marinette and Adrien are still dealing with but can maintain most of the time though at night and not with each other it is hard. For those wondering and who don't speak French (and to those who do I am sorry I used google translate for it so it may not be 100% good) what Marinette said in her sleep roughly translates to 'Mother and father I miss you so much. Alya, Nino, and all you guys, I am sorry for leaving you. I did not want to, Hawk Moth sent Adrien and me into the future, he took us from you. We didn't die, we still live, and we will never forget you all. I wish…' so you can see how Marinette still struggles. The same is with Adrien in his scene only a little different and we get some of his thoughts, but they are making progress with their new friends, progress that will continue as the arc continues. That is all I really have for this chapter so I will leave it off here.
