Here it is, the fifty-seventh full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released early because I am still ahead in my draft so y'all get another bonus one before tomorrow's set weekly one which is also coming. The original arc is now over (with a little extra to start this chapter though) so we are now back into the next MHA canon arc as we gear up for the provisional license exam that is coming soon but there are some things to sort out before then. Anyway, that is all the administrative stuff I have for now and as there are no review questions to answer that haven't already been addressed where necessary or guest reviews to respond to I will end this note here. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from y'all. Now, though, it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 57th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.

Chapter 57: Ultimate Moves and Designs

Momo groaned as she woke up to the sound of her alarm clock as the memory of the day before came back to her. It had been a long, emotional, and draining day for her.

First she'd had the Mr. Aizawa tell her that had it not been for the current situation then she, along with almost all the class with 4 exceptions ,though one of them was actually as culpable as the rest, would have been expelled for rescuing Bakugo. That had been stressful and that was before she moved into the dorms that U.A. had set up for their students after two attacks on the Hero Course first years.

The move itself had also been a process for her as it turned out she'd way overpacked and underestimated the size of her room. She'd assumed that she'd have the space for her bed from home, but it took up almost the whole room and now she barely had any. On top of that she had to send about 75% of her stuff home which had taken almost all day to sort out.

Then Mina and Toru had come by and proposed going to check out the guys rooms to see who had the best decorating skills. As such, all the girls minus Tsu who wasn't feeling well went down and saw several of the guys rooms. After some rather harsh criticism from the girls, and a persuasive argument from Mineta of all people that had an ulterior motive, the girls were challenged to be as good if not better than the guys and as such the first ever best room contest was born.

What followed was an inspection of first all the remaining boys rooms, minus Mineta's as no one wanted to enter it and Bakugo's as he'd refused to partake in the contest, and the first of what ended up being a few surprises that day in the last guy's room, Rikido Sato's. They'd entered to find that it was an unimpressive room in general but for a baking oven with a deliciously smelling chiffon cake in it that Sato had been baking for the class.

Naturally all the girls wanted a slice, though one of them was more measured than the rest, and it was as delicious as it smelt. It was a shock to all that Sato was a great baker but with his Quirk it made sense and naturally Momo asked him to bake something to pair with her tea. Then the other shoe dropped spectacularly. In hindsight they all really shouldn't be surprised that she kept shocking them but still, this was yet another new level for her.

That was because the one girl who hadn't either been overly enthusiastic about the cake or praised Sato right away had been Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Instead, she'd been oddly quiet and thoughtful as she ate it slowly the way a wine expert would assess a new vintage before she floored the entire class by expertly and correctly assessing the cake and baking process of it from simply eating it, praising Sato's skills and knowledge to make the cake just right. She even identified how the cake was made and that Sato had followed the correct baking instructions to make it.

That was of course when Marinette revealed that the first part of her surname was from the famous Dupain family bakery chain based in Paris, which at least Momo should have seen but the whole Cheng part had thrown her. It was because of this that Marinette was actually a top-class baker herself and on a level well beyond what Sato was on.

To say that none of them had seen not just one but two, and two who's powers lended themselves to strength, were talented bakers was an understatement as even Agreste was surprised by Sato though he'd obviously known about Marinette's skills. Marinette had then promised to show them her own baking abilities later with her best dish in French macarons, the very dish her family was best at. That was just the start with Marinette, however.

The next surprise she dropped had been when they saw her room on the third floor and it wasn't the fact that she'd lofted her bed in the move in process though that was a surprise as well. No, it was that her room showed clear trappings of clothes making and Marinette revealed that she was passionate about fashion and could even make clothes good enough to get the Agreste family to notice and that was before she started dating Adrien.

She was even willing to make clothes for the class and Momo was going to take her up on that when she had a moment and could provide Marinette with all her measurements. That still wasn't the end with Marinette but that last thing came later.

After that the rest of the girls' rooms were pretty standard, ranging from girly to bland to Momo's bed before they went down to the common area, voted for the best room. That turned out to be t Sato's by a wide margin as all of the girls, but Marinette, voted for it due to the cake he'd made that they all loved. Then they waited as Marinette made them macarons with Sato aiding her.

During that time, Ochaco had taken Momo, Midoriya, Ida, Kirishima, and Todoroki outside where Tsu was waiting for them. That was when Momo learned that Tsu hadn't participated because she felt unworthy of the fun after learning they'd ignored her harsh words and rescued Bakugo. She realized how harsh her words had been and was upset at herself for saying them and how the 5 must have felt as they went to rescue Bakugo knowing that she'd called them no better than villains.

Tsu apologized for being so harsh to them and Momo and the others apologized to Tsu for upsetting her so much and that they didn't hold anything against her. The only one from the Bakugo rescue team who wasn't present was Marinette because Tsu hadn't even known that Marinette was in the know of the plan until that morning and as such she hadn't offended her or been made upset with her words.

They all talked it out as they comforted Tsu and explained what they did that saved Bakugo without combat. That included Marinette once again exceeding her already extremely high evaluation by inadvertently creating something that had effectively captured Kirishima, Ida, Midoriya, and Bakugo. This hadn't been the point of the charm she'd created; she'd made it to protect them after they were clear of danger and needed to land so this time she'd increased her reputation by accident.

After that they went back inside and had some of Marinette's macarons, which were indeed better than any Momo had ever had and above top quality, so she and Marinette were going to have to do a proper tea and cakes one day for the class, and then Momo had retired to her room for the night. However, she hadn't gone to sleep, instead she'd gone to ponder something that wasn't sitting right with her about Marinette.

She'd know something was different about both French transfer students for a while, that had been made clear in the first week when they routed both Momo and Mineta and then Jiro and Kaminari in their battle trials showing a level of skill and teamwork that went beyond training. That just continued through the incidents that followed that they were part of, and the Sports Festival with both only losing because of bad matchups, well that and Agreste not being the best for single combat that was heavily reliant on Quirks, and Marinette spitting in Todoroki's face in their match.

Still, that hadn't been enough to really cause Momo to dive too deep into them as she knew that the system in France started at 13 and there were some field work involved when the kids were 14 but still it was suspicious enough to occasionally nag at her when she saw just how good they really were. Then she'd seen what caused her to dive deep and it was a photo in Marinette's room.

It was a photo with a Japanese girl who none of them would know or recognize as it was from Marinette's home city of Paris, but it was her features that Momo did recognize as they were prevalent in a notable family here in Japan. She knew the girl had to be from the Tsurugi family, a wealthy and old one in Japan that her own had done dealings with in the past, and Marinette confirmed that when Momo asked about the girl. The problem was that there should be no Tsurugis in Paris and the one female family member that Momo knew of was only 10 or so.

That was what led Momo into a rabbit hole that started with a call to the Tsurugi patriarch himself to learn about his relative Kagami under the guise of first a potential contact and then as a paper research topic in the future. What Momo discovered and where it all led, well she wasn't sure she'd have believed it without the proof she'd seen but she had, and it wasn't what she'd expected. She'd learned the truth behind the French pair, a truth that was beyond belief.

The truth was that Marinette and Agreste were not from their era. The pair were actually from the late pre-Quirk era and had been blasted into the future with no way back by a supervillain called Hawk Moth while they were Ladybug and Cat Noir, the heroes of legend in Paris which also explained their hero names here. Momo had found out because Kagami had returned to Japan about a year after Marinette and Adrien had disappeared and kept the same photo that Marinette had. After she confronted Marinette with this Marinette had confirmed it and told Momo her story and what a story it was.

Momo still struggled to believe that magic was real in this world, but she'd seen the magical creatures known as kwamis, even seen Marinette transform and use one of their powers, so she had the irrefutable proof of what Marinette was saying. That was how she learned of Marinette's past experience, how she and Agreste had been sent to the future and all that. Then, to ice the night, she'd been teleported with Marinette to her legal guardian Mage's office where he was waiting with Principal Nezu to complete the picture for her.

There Momo had learned the full truth of who Mage really was, of the truth behind the Guardians of the Elements, how Marinette and Adrien had a backstory that passed scrutiny with U.A., all of that. It had all been confirmed by Principal Nezu who she trusted, and he vouched for the veracity of everything on his honor, so she accepted it. Now she was fully informed on what had to be the biggest secret in the class and she'd never share it but swore to help Marinette and Agreste protect it. It had had some benefit though as…

"Will you please stop lying there contemplating whatever you are contemplating and shut that infernal racket off." A posh sounding, clearly annoyed, feminine, voice said in French from the pillow on the other side of the bed. "I am trying to get my beauty sleep after the long night that you put us all through."

Momo did turn the alarm off but at the same time rolled over in bed to stare in shock at a small thing that looked piebald horse with a white tail and hair quaff thing for a mane curled up on the other pillow she had in her large bed. It was the horse kwami who'd spoken to her the night before in Marinette's room, Kaalki if Momo recalled.

"Um, Kaalki, right?" Momo said switching to French and keeping her voice low.

"That would be me." Kaalki said stretching with a slight neigh and yawning before floating up from the pillow and turning to look at Momo looking a little tired but otherwise no different from the night before. "Well, I guess I am up now so not much to do about it."

"Right but, er, what are you doing in my room?" Momo asked trying to process what was going on. "Does Marinette know?"

"No but I am sure that the other kwamis will tell her." Kaalki said without any hint of worry or remorse. "And she'll understand, she knows me well enough by now to know this is something I'd do seeing as you know who I am, Momo was it?"

"Momo is my given name but here in Japan we use family names unless dealing with multiple family members, are talking to someone in your immediate family, or have been close to that person for a while." Momo said. "So, I am usually called by that which is Yaoyorozu. I know Marinette calls me Momo, as do the other girls now because we're all close and girls, but that is also a bit different due to cultural differences and Marinette's insistence on me using her given name."

"Yes, yes, I've spent a fair bit of time in Japan way back in the old shogunate days, I know how it works." Kaalki said dismissively while surprising Momo in the process, she'd love to ask about those times if Kaalki had a moment as so much of that history was lost but all in good time. "But as you said, Marinette calls you Momo and seeing as I'm now living here I'll do so as well. You can call me Kaalki, I don't have any other names."

"I see that I'll probably not win this one." Momo said before it hit her. "Wait, living here? This isn't just a one-time thing?"

"Why yes I am a noble and honorable steed, so I deserve to live in the finest stables and to be with someone of a true and pure heart." Kaalki said reminding Momo why she got an upper-class vibe from this kwami. "And your stable was just what I required when we checked out your room last night after you and Marinette were summoned by Mage to discuss things."

"You checked out my room?" Momo said before recalling something from the night before. "Wait, you can go through stuff, right?"

"Correct, we can float, fly and become intangible to pass through things that aren't enchanted to prevent it." Kaalki said with a nod. "It helps allow us to hide so last night we checked out all the rooms here just as the male kwamis no doubt did the same on their side when the boys in your class were asleep. This was the only other one empty but in use, so we deduced it was yours and I decided to come live here with you as it was a perfect stable for me."

"Ignoring the stable thing." Momo said chalking it up to the fact that Kaalki was a horse, well kwami but based on a horse so had horse traits. "What about your Miraculous as Marinette called it?"

"That is what they are called, and she still has it and can access it when needed." Kaalki said simply. "But there are too many kwamis down there, so I figured that as you have good taste, a noble heart, and know the full truth that I'd come live here. By the way, I like carrots, apples, and sugar cubes."

"I'm not getting out of this am I?" Momo asked.

"I'm sure Marinette will apologize for me and try to talk me out of it but no you aren't." Kaalki said shaking her head and crossing her, er, hooves across her chest. "Don't worry I'll only be out when you are present, or Marinette is here as well, and if you wish for privacy or whatever just let me know and I won't bother you. Also, I can answer a lot of questions you may have but if it is something that I am spellbound to silence on, or just not allowed to say, please respect that."

"Alright then you can stay, and I'll discuss this more with Marinette." Momo said with a sigh though she understood that there would be some things that she couldn't learn from Kaalki, but she'd definitely take what she could get from the kwami. "But why do I feel like there is an extra reason like keeping an eye on me now that I know their secret."

"Nah Marinette trusts you to keep it for them, so we do as well." Kaalki said. "Don't worry, I'm just here because I couldn't resist this place."

"Well, I will appreciate your taste and if you are to be here then you will be helping me with my tea." Momo said as she got out of bed and decided that she'd at least see what the kwami knew about good tea, she might be a real asset there as well. "But I must get ready for the day and go downstairs, just behavior yourself."

"I always do." Kaalki said as she began to look around the room more.

Momo just sighed at the new situation she was now in and began to get ready for the day. She was going with the same kinda stuff as the day before for breakfast and then it was into her school uniform for whatever the class was going to be. One thing she knew though was that while the semester hadn't started yet, it was going to be intensive as they geared up for the provisional license exam.

-break-

Living in the dorms wasn't that hard a transition from the members of Class 1-A in the end. The only thing that they had to get used to was the fact that they were all living together and seeing each other all the time be it brushing their teeth, bathing, eating, or just relaxing in the common area. For Adrien and Marinette this wasn't to hard as now they were always around their friends though it was a bit of a step back as they weren't sharing a bed anymore. Still, they were going to get around that when they had a moment.

Not sleeping together but time together that is. They did were going to do it through their own ways and one was to wake up a bit earlier than the rest of the class and train together. The training camp had been useful despite the interruption, and they'd learned that the higher their stamina was, the longer they could hold their powers for. This was especially good for Adrien with Cataclysm but for Marinette it would be useful for multiple changes or items that were of use in a prolonged fight.

As such they were going to do stamina training early in the morning though they weren't the only ones with that idea. Both Ida and Midoriya were going at it as well, so they had a group if needed. The first one though was just for them as Marinette filled Adrien in on all that had happened since he went to bed, in French of course, and how Momo had found out about their pasts.

Adrien was of course surprised but he realized that there was no way to hide it from Momo after what she'd learned from the Tsurugi patriarch before confronting Marinette so there was no point fighting it. He trusted Marinette and knew she'd made the right call telling Momo everything about them. With Mage and Nezu also helping out Momo had been fully convinced about their situation and now they had a friend who knew and could help protect their secret. Of course, they still had to focus on what was ahead of them in the licensing exam so everything else could fade away for now.

On that they had to go to class for more information and after breakfast that had been provided by Lunch Rush the class did just that. As it was still class, though the second semester hadn't yet started, they had to wear their uniforms, and all did as they made their way to the classroom from the dorm 5 minutes away. Once they got there, they sat down in their seats and waited for their homeroom teacher to enter and start the class.

"I believe I've mentioned this already. "Mr. Aizawa said from the lectern as soon as he arrived. "But your main focus this summer is obtaining provisional hero licenses."

"Yes sir." The class said as a whole, well most of them at least but they were all listening and paying attention to their teacher.

"Do not take this lightly." Mr. Aizawa said seriously looking at them sternly as he spoke. "A hero license means that you are responsible for human lives. You can imagine that the exam to receive on is very difficult. Only 50% of students who take it pass the test required for these permits each year."

"It's that hard to get a provisional license." Mineta asked sounding worried.

Marinette, however, understood the logic behind such a low pass rate. To be a hero you had to be exceptional and worthy of the trust the government was putting in you so passing such a tough test was a given. That's why she vowed to be fully ready for it, along with Adrien she knew they wouldn't fail.

"In order to prepare today you will concentrate on creating something new, well almost all of you should be but we'll get to that in a bit." Mr. Aizawa said as the door to the classroom opened to reveal Midnight, Cementoss and Ectoplasm standing there. "You are going to create two ultimate moves by the time you take the test."

"Ultimate moves!" Several members of the class said excitedly at this idea. "The exam is a normal school thing, but this is total hero work."

"When we say ultimate we mean a move that will ensure that win against an opponent." Ectoplasm said in his deep, almost robotic, voice. "Hence the word choice in ultimate."

"It should be an action so unique to your identity that no other person can hope to copy it." Cementoss added. "Simply put you must lean into your strengths."

"Your move represent who you are." Midnight said. "These days most pro heroes have an ultimate move, those who don't are fools."

"This may sound abstract, but we'll explain more as the day goes on." Mr. Aizawa said. "For now, change into your costumes and meet in Gym Gamma."

The class did just that taking their costumes and heading to the changing rooms to quickly get changed into them so that they could get to working on their ultimate moves. Adrien for one was really glad that they were using costumes because the moves he had in mind would need its ability to withstand his Cataclysm. Mage's advice about the only true limit to their powers being their imagination came to mind as he began to form ideas for how to use his power and strengths to his advantage.

The same was for Marinette as she changed and joined the rest of the girls as they made their way to the training gym, meeting up with the guys on the way. She needed to figure how to use Lucky Charm, as well as her enhanced constitution, to her advantage along with her yo-yo and combat strengths to ensure that her goal to create the charm was achieved. Her limits were her imagination and how long Lucky Charm could be active for before recharging. She could do this and create an ultimate move for when she faced real combat that would overcome those limits and any weaknesses that she had.

"Gym Gamma." Mr. Aizawa said to the class, almost all of whom had never been here with the exception of Momo and Marinette who'd spared here before the Sports Festival after asking Cementoss to oversee it and Adrien who'd had his special Quirk Assessment test here due to the ready source of concrete that was present for him to destroy. "Also known at that academy as the training dining land or TDL."

"This facility was my idea." Cementoss said as he put his hands on the ground and showed them that the whole building's floor was concrete while all but Marinette and Adrien, who didn't get it, groaned at the acronym, especially after the USJ one. "We can prepare unique terrains and obstacles that can be tailored for each student's needs here. Here you will learn to serve up justice hence the name."

"That's pretty cool." Kaminari said idly as Ida's left arm shot into the air.

"Please allow me a question?" Ida asked. "What is the advantage of having ultimate moves for our provisional exam? May we know your reasoning?"

"That's two, well actually 3, questions." Mr. Aizawa said in a bored tone. "Calm down. The job of a hero is to save people from all sorts of dangers be it crime, accidents, and natural or manmade disasters. Of course, the licensing exam analyzes how well you are able to deal with such things. It won't be just fighting, but also your ability to gather information and make quick decisions will be judged in addition to how well you communicate, cooperate and lead others. Every year a new test is used to evaluate these qualities so don't bother asking an older student about past ones."

"One thing is especially important." Midnight said stepping forward. "You must be able to prevail in battle. If your prepared you won't have to worry and those of you with an ultimate move will have stronger results."

"Your circumstances should not dictate the results of your future battles." Cementoss said. "Learn to be consistent and you will be a great asset to other heroes on the front lines."

"Your ultimate move doesn't necessarily have to be an attack either." Ectoplasm said. "Take Ida's Recipro Burst for example. This sort of boost in speed is valuable enough that it falls into the category of excellence that we are looking for."

"You mean I've been doing an ultimate move all along." Ida said shaking with joy at that realization as Sato looked at him with a bit of worry for how the class rep was acting.

"So, it is basically our secret weapon." Sato said looking back to the teachers. "Something that will gives us the edge no matter who or what we are facing."

"There's a smart boy." Midnight said with a wink at him. "For example, think of how Kamui Woods is able to use his Lacquered Chain Prison to capture his opponents in an instant. That's exactly what we are looking for."

"All that said, in one of your cases this training will be more about perfecting how to do this for certain situations and improving what she can already do rather than creating an ultimate move we believe though of course it is up to her how to use her Quirk." Ectoplasm said as he looked right at Marinette and most of the class looked to her as well. "Dupain-Cheng's Lucky Charm is a Quirk that is basically an ultimate move in and of itself if used correctly. At least if the description of how it works is accurate that is."

"Um well when you put an ultimate move like that then yeah it kinda is and yes the description is accurate to how it works." Marinette admitted, her usually non-linear brain having not deduced this until now as she'd not though of her power as such and now all the class were realizing it as well. "If I set my goal as capture or victory then, so long as I am specific enough, I should get an item that, if used as instructed, will do just that. Speed, numbers, and anything that can destroy matter easily are able to overcome me though, so I do need to be able to counter things like that."

"Training will make up for that." Cementoss said. "So, focus on scenarios and how to use your Quirk best for them."

"Right." Marinette said with a nod as an idea for what she could do began to come to her mind, but she'd need a special space to work on it.

The rest of the class, even Adrien, just looked at her for a moment longer though. They all knew how strong Marinette was in battle between the handle she had on Lucky Charm, her general combat abilities and raw strength she had but again she'd exceeded what they'd thought.

Most, especially those who'd been on the receiving end of it, knew that Lucky Charm was a surprisingly powerful Quirk when all factors were considered but now, well it seemed to be off the charts. Instantly Izuku was analyzing it the way he did everything and thinking about how strong its potential truly was because there was a high chance that Lucky Charm was up there with One for All in terms of the top .1% of all known Quirks.

Marinette didn't understand how she kept doing this. She didn't mean to be like this, all this had started with helping an old man get up and avoid a car and now, well, here she was in the future in a hero society and already considered as one of the top students in her class in the top hero school in Japan and she kept exceeding what others thought of her in the process. Still, she had to focus on what she could understand and ignore the distractions.

"The training camp was interrupted but the practice you did get in to develop your Quirks was part of the process needed to create these defining abilities." Mr. Aizawa said as Cementoss began to create the environment for them to train in while Ectoplasm sent out his clones for them to train with. "Now that you are caught up, you'll be working hard to create moves of your own over the next 10 days or so. This is how you will spend the remainder of your summer vacation. Prepare for intensive training. In addition, you should think about how to improve your costumes, especially now that you have a better understanding of your Quirks and how they work. I expect each of you to go plus ultra. Do you have it in you?"

"Yes sir." Most of the class said seriously as they got ready for the training.

"I am so charged up for this." Kaminari added and with that the intensive training began.

-break-

Over the next few hours, the class trained intensely in Gym Gamma. With Ectoplasm able to create up to 30 clones before karaoke they could all have individual training with him. In those sessions they talked with the clone assigned them for advice on how to use their strengths for their moves, what they wanted to do, scenarios, and the like while the other teachers also helped out. It was perfect for them, and they really got down to business.

During all this a still injured and clearly frail All Might appeared and gave students pointers, not just Midoriya, as he made the rounds. It was all useful but throughout it all Adrien had one thing on the back of his mind that he voiced to Marinette when it was over, and Class B was taking over: costume improvements.

He knew that they couldn't do much with the main costumes, Mage had already upgraded them for other scenarios though only one upgrade per use as that was Technus's costumes that theirs were mimicking's limit right now. That said, there was something he had an idea for that would be added to the normal costume that Mage hadn't done and that he really needed to be tech based for it to do what he had envisioned for it.

Adrien told his idea to Marinette once they were dismissed for the day, and she agreed, it was a great idea and only possible thanks to the training camp and Mr. Aizawa's advice to consider upgrading their costumes. As such they headed straight to the design studio after class to discuss it with them and see what they could do.

That was where Mr. Aizawa had said they should go so the couple made their way to the part of the main building that housed the Support Course and where the studio itself was. It didn't take them long to find it, there was a sign outside the door in English saying Development Studio with a wrench for the l and a gear for the o.

If that wasn't enough, the reinforced blast doors that made up the large entrance was enough to give it away that this was where they needed to be. Clearly dangerous stuff went on here but U.A.'s Support Course was as well renowned as their hero one, so it made sense.

"Well, let's go in." Adrien said with a shrug. "Not like these things are going to blow up in our faces if we just wait here."

"True and they look like they can handle a blast." Marinette said as Adrien went to the door and heaved it open.

They walked in and gaped at the room. It looked like a top-secret lab complete with work benches, all manners of equipment, and a door opposite them that led deeper into the studio that was no doubt used for testing what they made. Along one wall was a series of monitors where the teacher who ran the Support Course, the Excavation Hero: Power Loader, a rare hero who had both support and hero licenses, was currently sitting as he worked on something on the computer terminal there.

Power Loader himself was a short man wearing only a pair of pants and work boots with what looked like metal contraptions on his hands that ended in pads over his fingers that were actually there to protect people from his Iron Claws Quirk and so that he could work. To complete the look, he had a weird yellow helmet that looked a bit like a cross between a dinosaur's jaws and construction equipment over his head that left only his mouth and lower jaw, eyes, and his shoulder length red hair visible as the lower mandible part was down.

The only other person present was a girl in a far corner tinkering on something and chuckling or muttering to herself as she worked, the pair couldn't quite figure that out. She had pink dreadlocks that fell to just past her shoulders, a weird contraption on her head, black tank top, work pants and boots on.

Even without seeing her face, both Adrien and Marinette recognized her as Mei Hatsume, the top first year Support Course student who had reached the final round of the Sports Festival. She was the only one from her course to advance past the first round at all, a rarity apparently, and got to the last one thanks to reaming up with Midoriya as all eyes would be on him due to his points total and thus her inventions would be visible to all. She'd then tricked Ida into being a walking advertisement for about a quarter of an hour to show off everything in her last 16 match. She was, in a word, a complete oddball.

"What can I do for you two?" Power Loader asked as the couple walked in and he turned to them, recognizing their costumes right away from the records the school had on them. "Ah, Hero Course students, I see that Eraser sent you to upgrade those costumes but alas you two are different."

"We are?" Adrien asked. "And it's just me who is looking for something to add. I was thinking of adding some tech that may come in handy given what we might face in the field while seeing if it could have an additional feature that would be really useful to me. I have some ideas for it, but I of course need an expert to make it."

"I have a license to make costumes and minor things I can add and just tell the companies, but major changes will have to be sent to the designers themselves." Power Loader explained. "And those take about 3 days because we work with the best in Japan, so long as they meet certain regulations, but my license only covers companies registered in Japan and your costumes aren't, are they?"

"No, they're Technus costumes." Adrien said as Marinette looked around interested by the space, the part of her that loved fashion and creating things active right now as while she wasn't tech focused she did enjoy creating and tinkering with things from her work with clothing and accessories, so the room was fascinating to her. "The nano tech stuff from an item that he developed."

"I thought so, your records say as much, and you transferred as part of the exchange program from Francois Dupont." Power Loader said. "And as such that technology is rather guarded so can't be added to without Technus's approval. That said there's…"

"Did you say Technus!" Hatsume's excited voice as she suddenly appeared before Adrien out of nowhere it seemed and causing him to take a step back from the sudden violation of his personal space. "So, you're the French people I was told about after the Sports Festival. What do you want? Tell me, tell me, tell me! I can make any super cute baby that you'd want, well I have to actually as I'm the only one with approval to add to your costume without the need to contact that genius in Europe. Also show me that ring of yours, that tech is beyond advanced, not even David Shield is at this level and only possible because of Technus's awesome Quirk."

As she was speaking Hatsume took Adrien's right hand in her two gloved ones that had her index fingers exposed and she looked intently at the ring, using her Zoom Quirk to focus on it but as expected she couldn't see how it worked as the design and construction of it was flawless. She then moved the feeling up his chest and circling around him as she looked over him, never breaking contact and inadvertently pushing her surprisingly sizeable assets into his back as she worked much to Adrien's horror.

"He approached me after seeing me in the Sports Festival, which shocked me as I didn't expect him there, and offered me a chance to earn a contract with him as his first Japanese employee of his upcoming branch here." Hatsume babbled excitedly as she kept up her personal examination of Adrien oblivious to everything around her and the now furious girlfriend she was completely ignoring as she gave Marinette's man an impromptu physical inspection. "He was immensely impressed with my babies, creation range, abilities, drive, style, and complete lack of any ability to understand people. He gave me a test, well a first of many exciting tests to come as the company won't be operational for a few years while he and the Agreste family sort out their deal…"

Hatsume was interrupted from her rant as she had moved to Adrien's front again and pressed herself close looking up, her bosom just above Adrien's crotch, as she spoke, looking up at him as she did. That had been the last straw for Marinette. This chick was in her man's personal space and making Adrien very uncomfortable as he raised his arms a look of shock on his face that under other circumstances would have been adorable on it, and Marinette wasn't going to take it anymore.

She knew that she should calm down and not let her emotions dictate as she'd done in the past whenever Chloe had fawned over Adrien, but this was different, this time Adrien was actually her boyfriend and loved her, so her protectiveness got the better of her. That and she was still a little raw and vulnerable after everything with Momo finding out, so her anger and annoyance got the better of her and she crossed to them in a few steps, grabbed Hatsume by the back of her tank top, and pulled her off Adrien.

Unfortunately, Marinette forgot about her strength, a strength that her costume increased again making her roughly as strong as Sato after a power up of sugar when in full costume, and rather than simply pry Hatsume off Adrien she inadvertently threw the girl across the room and into the far concrete wall where she stuck there for a moment spread eagled by the impact before sliding down it. Marinette just blinked in shock at that as everyone in the room tried to process what she'd accidentally done.

What she didn't know was that after so many explosions a little toss into a concrete wall was nothing to Hatsume and she popped up from the ground and was on Marinette in a second. The girl was a lot sturdier than she seemed, she had to be to survive her own multitude of failures with her babies, grinning from what had happened to her.

"Wow so you're the other French student, that strength is incredibly." Hatsume as she was suddenly in Marinette's personal space and giving her the same treatment that she'd just given Adrien showing that at least it hadn't been sexual or anything, the girl was just a very hands-on learner with no concept of personal space. "You're a lot more muscular and toned than I'd have though and so compact in your small, slender, lithe body. You must have some power up Quirk or an enhanced constitution and this costume clearly improves on it, I can tell that much at least. It's made with you in mind and perfectly contoured to your body and skills, but I can't figure out how it's made. I'd expect no less form Technus. It's why I must pass this test and move on to the next stage of his hiring process. I…"

Again, Hatsume didn't finish what she was saying as she'd suddenly groped Marinette's small chest clearly seeing how it worked on that part of her body. That was also too much for Marinette, only Adrien got to touch those, and she grabbed Hatsume around the waist, lifted her into the air with ease, and tossed her back and into the wall, again. Once more Hatsume slid down it after a moment but again she popped up still smiling at what she was learning.

"Amazing, that strength is…" Hatsume began.

"Enough Hatsume." Power Loader said in a stern voice finally recovering from it all and reminding them that he was the teacher. "If you keep this up you'll be banned. I don't mind that you here all the time now that you are on campus but don't push it."

"What? No fair." Hatsume said with a slight whine as she turned to look at her teacher. "I have to make an item for one of them, that's the first test. Technus told me when he met that if the two with his costumes came to get an upgrade to them that only I had permission to add to them and I had to make an item that worked to the specifications asked for and fit with their costumes and styles."

"I know and you will get that moment with Agreste as he seems to want something." Power Loader said. "But that doesn't give you permission to invade his or Dupain-Cheng, who as Midnight loves gushing over whenever she has a moment, is Agreste's girlfriend as well, personal spaces like that. That is unacceptable."

"I was just checking their muscles and how the nanotech was sculpted to them." Hatsume said defensively. "It's beyond what I've ever seen so I have to know how it works."

"That may be, but you can't do that without their permission or inappropriately touch Dupain-Cheng even if you didn't mean it like that." Power Loader said sternly. "So, you've got a week's detention with me at the start of the semester and that will be cleaning and sorting out the studio, which is mostly your stuff anyway. You will not be tinkering or inventing during that time."

"What!" Hatsume said her eyes wide.

"You know the rules, follow them." Power Loader said. "You still have until the start of semester and as the Hero Course will be here with a lot of requests that your help with will be useful to them in their upcoming provisional license exam but once the semester starts, so does your punishment for this."

"Fine." Hatsume said with a slight pout as Power Loader turned to Marinette.

"That said, you also can't throw my student across the room Dupain-Cheng, twice." Power Loader said to her and Marinette, having finally calmed down, realized she'd messed up a bit with what she'd done. "You are a Hero Course student and one of the best from what I've been told, you should know better despite what Hatsume did. As such, you will be joining her in detention with me for the first week of semester after classes and your hero work. Now, unless you need anything specific done, which if I understand your rather strange Quirk correctly you don't, you are banned from the Design Studio until the start of semester."

"I understand Mr. Power Loader and sincerely apologize to you and Hatsume for letting my emotions get the better of me just now." Marinette said bowing respectfully to the teacher knowing that she'd made a mistake and owning up to it as was right to do. "I will work on it, and I accept this punishment as it is just for what I did in your studio. I don't need anything done, I am satisfied with my costume as is, I was just with Adrien as he needed something, and I wanted to see this place. I hope that you can explain more to me while I serve my detention with you as it is all very interesting to me as an aspiring fashion designer in my limited spare time."

"If you wish to learn that will be a good time for an overview as you help sort out this place, it does get messy quickly." Power Loader said glad that the girl showed remorse and understanding for what she'd done, she'd be a good hero when she graduated for sure. "Now please step outside, on my honor I'll keep an eye on Hatsume so that she doesn't do this again to Agreste."

"Thank you sir." Marinette said turning to Hatsume and bowing slightly though nowhere as deep as for Power Loader. "And sorry Hatsume."

"No need, I've had worse from my own failures." Hatsume said waving her hand clearly missing what she'd done wrong and turning to Adrien. "Now what is it that you want done?"

Adrien was utterly confused by everything that had just happened in such a short amount of time and looked at Marinette who nodded that it was ok, and she'd tell him all about what had happened later before she turned and left the studio. With that Adrien snapped out of his confusion and turned back to Hatsume to tell her what he was looking to get made.

"Well basically, I need a…"

I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist a cliffhanger like this and at least it's not an emotional one like the last big one. That said, it is one that won't be answered for a few chapters as it's going to be revealed during the provisional license test. It was an idea I got for how Adrien might be able to improve Cataclysm even in combat (I have actually found a way for him to really grow more than I expected so stay tuned for that as well) while also giving Hatsume a test for her to be hired by Technus, well a first test, and to have this kind of interaction with Marinette because I feel like this is just how Hatsume would react in this scenario given her, let's say exceptional, people skills. Don't worry, all this will be beneficial for Marinette, but she did have to be punished for throwing a fellow, and not Hero Course, student across a room, twice, even if Hatsume may have deserved it at least once. Other than that, the only other main thing to point out is the start with Kaalki and Momo. I just feel that with Kaalki's rather posh personality and strong level of independence that she'd do this once she learned of Momo's bed. She's also the one who I'd see getting along best with Momo. I have been considering letting Momo use the Horse Miraculous if the situation presents itself, as well as maybe some of the other class so feel free to give suggestions based off the powers we know in Miraculous Ladybug canon for who should get what. I won't make any promises as the situation has to fit and be natural, but you never know when a kwami and its Miraculous might come in handy. I'm also considering basing the sequel around them a bit with a new villain getting his or her hands on one or two but all in good time, I'm not even halfway through this story, probably closer to a third based on how the manga is going, so there's so much more to come in this story. Expect it, when it's done, to easily hit 150 chapters and 1 million words. Anyway, that is all I have for this longer than average post chapter note so I'll leave it off here. If you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads.
