Here it is, the seventy-fourth full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released on the set day that I promised each week. At last the time has come for the Overhaul arc to begin in earnest so here it is though with all that is about to happen this is all I will say on what is about to come. As such, that is all the administrative stuff I have for now though and as there are no review questions to answer or guest reviews to respond to I will end this note here. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from y'all. Now, though, it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 74th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.

Chapter 74: Storming the Yakuza Hideout

After the news that they were to come in, the students participating in work studies at agencies involved in the upcoming raid had enough time to shower, get dressed, have a quick breakfast in their dorms, and then head out as the rest of their classmates were getting up. They couldn't say anything and those who asked weren't going to get any answers, but all were serious as they grabbed their costume cases and left to get the train to Nighteye Agency. All of them were ready, it was at last time to rescue Eri.

They met up with the Big 3 before leaving campus before walking to the station. The walk and the ride to Nighteye Agency was done in silence. There was no need for words at the moment, they all had to focus and get ready for what was to come.

For all of the first years this was their first real villain raid, their first chance at combat that was sanctioned by the HPSC. Even Marinette and Adrien hadn't done anything like this though facing a villain wasn't new to them, but never before had they faced someone like Chisaki and what he brought to the table. Nor had they ever had the stakes that they had right now so even they were newcomers to something like this.

That meant that this was the moment that all of them truly became heroes. This was their first moment with a license doing the heart of hero work, taking down a villain and saving an innocent. The investigation part was over, the action part was almost upon them.

It took an hour to reach the agency, an interminable time to them given what was about to go down, but they'd made it by the appointed time of 7am. All wore their full uniforms including blazers as they walked to Nighteye Agency from the station, were they were let in quickly and headed straight for the meeting room where the other heroes would be.

As expected, they were the last of the group to arrive, even Mr. Aizawa or as they had to call him at the moment Eraser Head, had arrived before them. He was standing in the back of the room where mostly the sidekicks and lesser-known local heroes were. The students quickly filed in and took their places, splitting up into their own work study groups and standing with the sidekicks from those agencies as they looked to the front of the room waiting for what was about to come.

At the front there was just one long desk this time with Nighteye behind it, his sidekicks standing back and to the sides of him. Directly in front of the desk was Rock Lock clearly ready for the briefing with several of the other higher ranked or well-known heroes around him. Ryukyu, and three local heroes of moderate well-known status including the oni mask guy and the gold googles guy were to his left while Fat Gum and three more heroes were to his right. Only Mage of the major heroes wasn't at the front standing back to let this start as he wasn't needed for this part.

"Good the last have arrived so we can start this briefing." Nighteye said his hands on his desk as he leaned forward to address the room. "Thanks to all our hard work we have found out where they are keeping Eri. She's in their main compound which is underneath the boss's residence here in this very city. Already we have begun to surround it and the police are mobilizing a full force, but I've called you here for one last bit of planning before we go in."

"Hold up." Rock Lock said making sure that he'd heard Nighteye correctly. "You're telling me that they've got this Eri girl in their main base?"

"Which means…" Fat Gum began.

"That she's in the headquarters of the Hassaikai." Ryukyu concluded. "That what the boss's residence would be used for as nowhere else would be considered appropriate for their main base of operations."

"So, you're telling me all that time spent investigating was for nothing then?" Rock Lock said clearly pissed. "Come on."

"Not at all." Nighteye said raising his body though his hands were still on the table as he looked Rock Lock in the eye. "We gained plenty of new information as well that will serve us and the police in shutting down their entire organization in one fell swoop. The moment we go into their main base, the officers and local heroes at the places we've investigated will go in as well in a simultaneous, multi-location, assault that will cripple the Shie Hassaikai."

"How did you confirm that she was there?" Fat Gum asked ready to just move on with the meeting so that they could launch their raid. "After her first escape they would have had to keep her locked up tightly to prevent it from happening again, which does lend credence to the fact that they'd keep her in their main base but doesn't answer how you managed to confirm this Nighteye."

In response Nighteye pulled out a square box that was offensively pink and held it by some unseen handle with his fingertips. All most of them could see was the front of it which showed a jeweled heart in a circle around it that had different colored jewels equidistant on it, many more hearts around the box and another, smaller, jeweled on in a corner with two anime girls, one with bright pink hair in twin tails and the other with blue hair wearing magical girl style dresses in the corner. Next to them was the kanji that denoted that the box was for an anime called 'Gung-Ho! Glitter Squad 10!"

"A member of the Hassaikai visited a nearby department store the other day." Nighteye explained as everyone looked at the box with a mix of confusion, worry, and concern for Nighteye's sanity as to why he of all people had one. "There he purchased a toy favored by young girls."

"What?" Fat Gum managed to say.

"That's pretty sparkly." Rock Lock said any annoyance he had completely drained by the sudden reveal of whatever the box was and how out of place it seemed to be in a room full of heroes. "And very pink, certainly something that would appeal to young girls."

"Look maybe the guy just likes cutesy stuff." Fat Gum said not convinced yet as this wasn't conclusive proof that they had Eri in their main base. "Different strokes for different folks Nighteye. We all know that shows like that appeal to more than just what their target demographic is though few of those kinds of fans would buy something like that in public. Now, do you want to tell us what you're doing with one though?"

"Yes." Nighteye said in his usual calm tone. "I was there when he made the purchase and overheard his conversation with the store clerk. He asked the clerk at the toy store about a show that little girls were into these days though all he knew was that it had the word glitter in it. The clerk helped him with the franchise though he was still off knowing one of the series from several years ago that helped launch the franchise which she helpfully corrected him on. I saw that as my opening and went to the boxes they had for Gung-Ho! Glitter Squad 10!, picked one up for him and approached him."

Everyone in the room was now staring at Nighteye. Sure, the heroes knew that in an investigation one had to sometimes do things like this but to hear Nighteye of all people talking so casually about it surprised all of them. Still, they didn't say anything, though Marinette at least felt like she should check this series out because, well, it was pretty and pink with cool looking outfits, as Nighteye continued.

"This was the moment I had been waiting for, so I touched his shoulder causing him to turn and look me in the eye." Nighteye explained. "And used that to strike up a conversation telling him I was a fan of the show as well and using my Quirk on him in the process. I saw his future and in it he walked away from the store with the box he bought, went back to the headquarters, accessed an alcove that uses a puzzle of sorts to open up a doorway to their underground compound and saw him head straight to a room there where he presented the box to Eri. Afterwards I bought a box myself to avoid blowing my cover, use it as proof to you all of what I'd been up to, and set things into motion so that we could begin this rescue mission the moment I confirmed Eri was there."

"Hold up." Rock Lock said his pissed off nature returned. "You ended up using Foresight anyway. I thought you weren't going to use it; you had a whole spiel about why."

"If you recall I said I'd use it when our path was more certain." Nighteye said seriously. "And this was the moment that I was certain that it would reveal Eri's location given all that I'd heard. It was a calculated use and it paid off."

"Calm down Rock Lock, this is good because it means we've got the data we need, right?" Fat Gum asked though Rock Lock still looked annoyed.

"Yes." Centipeder said taking over the briefing for the moment. "And we know for sure when they'll be there thanks to our stakeouts of their hideout both during our general investigation into the Hassaikai and our specific one to find Eri."

"And we already worked with the police and got a warrant to search the place." Bubble Girl said excitedly. "Next step is to…"

"Barge in there and teach these yakuza bastards a lesson." Fat Gum said turning to the gathered heroes and students with a smile on his face.

"Aw man that's my line." Bubbly Girl protested from behind Fat Gum. "He stole it from me."

"Deku." Ochaco said from where she, Tsu and Hado were causing him to turn to her and she just nodded at him which was all he needed to be reassured and smiled back ready for the mission to start knowing that this time he'd do everything in his power to save Eri.

"Come on Midoriya." Togata said seriously from next to him as he arched his back before suddenly lunging forward and waving his arms madly. "We're all over this, lets rescue that girl and take down some bad guys."

"Well, that's enthusiastic." Adrien noted to Marinette as Togata began to get really psyched up causing a lot of people to turn and look at him in confusion.

"It's what I'd expect from the top of the Big 3." Marinette said as Izuku just smiled at the sight glad to see that Togata was back to normal. "It will help motivate him in the coming raid. With the power that Chisaki has, Tin, I mean Togata has the best Quirk to counter it in direct combat short of Erasure and we all know the level of mastery he has over his Permeation Quirk."

As this was going on Hado got Amajiki's attention and smiled glad to see that their friend was back to the passionate aspiring hero they knew so well as he finally finished his psych up by raising his fist to the sky. At the same time Nighteye just watched his protégé closely realizing just how much Mirio had been regretting what happened in that alley when he and Midoriya had run into Eri. Hopefully, when this was all done and she was safe, he'd get to tell Mirio that it was because he held his ground that they were able to go into this mission fully prepared.

Nighteye continued to look at the U.A. students who were now all gathered together either lightly chatting or getting ready for the raid. He knew better than most that regret, and failure were part of life, but it was important to learn from them so that you didn't repeat them the next time you were faced with a similar decision.

He had his own deep regrets and with his power he wasn't sure if he could change the future as it had never been done before with what his Quirk showed him, but one could change the affect the past had on you by reflecting on what you'd done then you could modify the present. Nighteye knew that Mirio could do that, that today he would shine like he'd always known he would.

As Nighteye looked over the students he saw the French pair amongst them, smiling and getting mentally ready for the raid. They wouldn't see him watching but he looked to their eyes and saw the resolve in them.

They knew more than even the Big 3, probably more than some of the pros present, what was to come and what had to be done to rescue Eri. If any had a past that affected them it was those two who hailed from another time, another era of human history and yet they had adapted, used what they knew to forge themselves anew in the world of Quirks they'd been sent to. If they could do it after the trauma they went through the rest could and that would be invaluable to their friends both during and after the raid.

Of course, Nighteye was one of only a few who knew the precise truth of the French pair's origin, only Mage and Yaoyorozu knew in the room as well as Gran Torino was off with Tsukauchi on a mission to deal a devastating blow to the League that would cripple them. Still, their experience would be useful to the others, even without seeing the future Nighteye knew this.

With a nod to the other work study heads, Nighteye gave the signal for them to tell their charges to go and change, which they did. He remained thinking as the students went off and changed into their costumes in silence, all thinking their own thoughts about the coming mission.

It didn't take long for them to change and group by group they returned in full costume, their hero names now in effect, ready for the mission. Fittingly, the last two were Lemillion and Deku and as soon as they were here Nighteye said the final thing he had to say to the assembled heroes.

"Let's go."

As soon as everyone had gotten changed and returned to the main room Nighteye gave the go order and they broke up into their respective groups. From there they made their way via different routes that the heroes in charge of agencies had on them to the police station so as to hide how many heroes would be involved in the mission and amassed there.

It took a few minutes but soon all the heroes were standing in front of the local station. Before them was a full squad of police officers, half in full riot gear with helmets and shields who were there for crowd control of the mass of underlings the Hassaikai likely had and half in normal uniforms with bullet proof vests for the search part all standing at ease. In front of them was their commanding officer, a seasoned police detective with black hair wearing a more relaxed look of a white button down, blazer with a rank armband on his left arm and black slacks though he had a gun in a holster at his him.

"As you know, Nighteye was able to use his Quirk on a Hassaikai member the other day." The chief officer said giving a briefing to the heroes as was required for an operation like this. "Through it he saw underground facilities that we believe them to be this yakuza group's headquarters and the heart of their operations for the manufacture of their Quirk destroying drug. We were also able to confirm that the girl we are trying to rescue is currently being held in one of the rooms there."

The chief officer paused here for a moment to let his words sink in. The pros before him were, well, pros so they wouldn't interrupt but it was important that they understood the full breadth of what was to come.

"Although we were unable to map out the entire underground layout of the hallways we believe that the man Sir Nighteye saw took the shortest route to our target as that is just human nature to do so in such a familiar and likely in his mind secure setting." The chief officer continued. "This is the best intel we have at the moment concerning the Hassaikai's stronghold, it is the basis of this mission. Stay smart, these guys are dangerous, and we can expect them to bring their Quirks against us full force."

With that the chief officer paused and nodded to someone who stepped out from behind a nearby car. He was another officer it seemed though he had to be an administrator or maybe a high-ranking detective as he was in a full suit with the same armband on his left arm that the chief officer had. In his hand was a folder that he began to take paper out of.

"We're now passing around a list of currently known Hassaikai members who aren't incarcerate and their Quirks." The chief officer said as his assistant began to hand out the list to the assembled heroes and students. "These are according to our registration databases. Commit this to memory."

"It's solid information to have on hand." The hero with the gold goggles and impressive sideburns said. "Thank you for this."

"We don't want to give them time to hide." The chief officer continued. "Are aim is to identify and apprehend all members as quickly as possible while securing our target."

"Alright, things are moving fast now, huh." Kirishima said to Amajiki as the latter pulled the hood of his white cloak over his head before checking all the pouches of food he had on his purple vest.

"You're energetic considering how early it is." Amajiki said looking at Kirishima.

"I'm getting nervous." Ochaco said squirming a little where she stood.

"No joke, first detective work and now we're cooperating with the police." Tsu said from next to Ochaco, her finger on her chin. "There's so much I still don't know."

"Right, it's all so official." Hado said to them as Ryukyu came up to her students. "But this is how things work in the real world when an investigation has reached the point of action."

"That's true." The Dragoon Hero said holding one of the lists she'd been given. "Schools don't always prepare you for investigations like this, it takes some time to adjust to it."

"She's right." A hero with a full-face mask of what looked like hair said. "Only the real thing can get you the necessary experience of what being a hero is like."

"All the pros seem like their pretty chill." Kirishima said to Izuku. "So brave and manly."

"I could say the same about you two." Momo whispered to Marinette and Adrien in French as Mage collected the lists for them while Izuku began to question where Gran Torino was. "You two are lose and ready."

"We've never faced someone like Chisaki." Marinette replied in French as Nighteye explained where the old pro was, and Mr. Aizawa came over to give Izuku some final words. "But we know the drill even if this kinda thing is new to us. Once the fighting starts, that's where we'll be most comfortable."

"That you do, your experience will be vital here when the time comes." Mage said as he reached them, Beth, or as they should probably refer to her BB as they were now in the field, by his side, and handed them the lists. "Read and memorize quickly. Creati, your mind is best for this, so we'll rely on you if need be."

"Right sir." Momo said as she began to read and memorize the list of names, Quirks, and corresponding mugshots of the known members of the Hassaikai.

"For this we are all under the directions of the cops and Nighteye." Mage explained as he reached into his pocket and pulled out some communication gear that he gave to the girls, Adrien's mask meant that he couldn't use them though he did have his personal one in that would allow him to communicate with Marinette if they got separated. "However, if I give an order directly to any of you then you are to obey it unless Nighteye countermands it. This is likely to get ugly fast, these things tend to do so, so it's my job to look out for you. Take these communicators, they may come in handy if we are forced to split up and don't worry Cat Noir, they're already programmed to the same frequency as yours."

"Understood." Adrien said while the girls nodded and put the devices in their ears though Marinette did take out her normal one and put it back in her yo-yo as it wasn't needed anymore.

"Good then let's get ready." Mage said as the chief officer stepped forward to take address them again having finished explaining to Izuku where Gran Torino and Tsukauchi were and why they weren't going to be needed for this operation. "It's time."

"Now heroes." The chief officer said getting all their attentions again while Fat Gum handed Amajiki some swordfish to eat for his Manifest Quirk just in case it came in handy. "Things could get violent quickly out there so if you encounter even a hint of suspicious behavior call for assistance immediately. We're up against gangsters who've avoided capture until now. It is imperative that each of you carry out your respective assignments and stay sharp in there."

At that the chief officer came to attention and saluted them, the non-riot squad officers behind him doing the same while the riot squad just came to attention. He held the pose for a moment before speaking again though he didn't lower his hand.

"We will commence the operation at 0830 hours." The man said still saluting them. "Heroes, move out."

With that they all turned and headed away from the police station. It wasn't a long walk, and they conserved their energy as they moved quickly but efficiently through the streets until they reached the Hassaikai's hideout and came to a stop outside it, meeting up with the officers already stationed here in preparation for the assault.

The hideout itself was a large building that looked like a cross between and office block and a traditional, pre-Quirk era, Japanese residence. It had tall concrete walls around with greenery on top and a large entranceway in a tradition design with a modern gate that one needed to be buzzed in through via an intercom on the right-hand side of the entranceway. It was clearly designed not to stand out, but the heroes and police had deduced what it was for and were now surrounding it.

The chief officer took the lead with the riot squad and Fat Gum up front. At a brief word from Mage, BB moved forward to stand next to Fat Gum and directly in front of the gate. She had a grin on her face as she cracked her knuckles, and they all knew that she was ready to be the polite door knocker the moment one was needed.

"Once they've read the warrant then you are free to move." The chief officer said to the gathered cops and heroes as the time ticked past 8:30. "I'm counting on everyone to act swiftly because speed is of the essence now."

"What's with this guy." Rock Lock said annoyed as always it seemed, he really wasn't a fan of being talked down to like this as he'd more than proved his competency and skill as a pro hero. "He's acting like we don't know our jobs."

"You know that's not what he means Rock Lock." Fat Gum said as the chief officer and few others dressed like him approached the intercom thing ready to press it and read out the warrant. "Give it a rest already."

"The real problem is that these yakuza bastards are good at living in the shadows." Rock Lock said understanding what Fat Gum was saying as the officer was just abiding by the law and doing so for the kids present but it still annoyed him. "They see all these heroes and the police they might just disappear like the roaches that they are."

Of course, the moment Rock Lock tempted fate was the moment she answered back in kind as the gates were punched off their hinges and out at them by a massive fist that sent wind flying. The crumpled doors blasted out and at the heroes but the grinning blonde American standing before them just crossed her arms across her chest and then punched them out catching both doors and bending denting them as she sent them flying down the road on either side and safely away from them.

"Hey, no fair, the door knocking is my job." BB said as the heroes who didn't know who she was just gaped at her opting not to deal with her horribly accented Japanese or in the chief officer's case just gaped at the reaction from the yakuza before he could even buzz the intercom and read out the warrant. "It's no fun when y'all get to do it."

At the same time 4 officers were sent flying by the opening salvo as they were too close to the door. One was easily caught by Fat Gum, another by Izuku activating his Quirk and catching him in the air, and the last two were snagged by Eraser Head's binding cloth and Marinette's yo-yo respectively and brought safely to the ground. They made sure they were ok while Aizawa lowered his goggles down and looked at the monster of a man who'd punched through the clearly reinforced metal gate.

The man before them was a mountain of a man, easily over 8 if not 9 feet tall and made of solid muscle. All he wore was a black tank top, green jeans, and sneakers. As for his equipment, he had on massive metal gloves over his hands that added to his power, a metal belt and a metal shoulder things for some reason. The only odd thing about him was that he had on a plague mask covering his face though it was a simple black one with red markings and a white eyes and not fancy like the one Chisaki preferred.

"That's Rikiya Katsukame." Momo said identifying him at once from the list she'd memorized as the man rose to his full height that had to be at least 10 feet now that they could see him standing upright and the heroes braced themselves. "His Quirk allows him to steal the life forces of those he touches and then inhales to increase his stamina, strength and size."

"That's not good." Marinette said as the big villain cocked his fist back. "Makes fighting him up close and personal hard if he can use touch to activate his Quirk."

"Why are you people here." Katsukame roared the muscles in his right arm bulging as he got ready to strike the officers. "It's too early for this shit but I'm starting to wake up so be gone."

"Brace yourselves, this one is mine." Ryukyu said as she slid in front of the officers, one of her hands on the claw accessory in her hair as she activated her Quirk just as the behemoth punched at her.

There was a colossal boom that sent a few officers flying and kicking up a cloud of smoke from the impact. Everyone gasped and those in Ryukyu's agency stepped forward to help as they understood what was going on. That was clear a second later as the smoke cleared to reveal Ryukyu in all her glory.

Marinette just gasped as she'd never seen the number 9 hero in action before, but it was clear how she'd reached that ranking in the charts, her Quirk was incredibly. Ryukyu had a transformation class Quirk that allowed her to turn into a giant, mostly, gray dragon complete with claws, a tail, and wings. Her face was reptilian now but remained the same as did her hair but that was it though now Marinette understood why her costume was the way it was as it grew with her while also allowing for mobility when she was transformed.

The only other difference was that her hair accessory was actually a metal support item that she wore on her right hand, well claw now, and had used to intercept Katsukame's fist. Next to her, even he looked tiny.

"Listen to me." Ryukyu roared showing that she could speak in this form though her voice was a lot deeper when she spoke. "We shouldn't split up too many of our forces just yet. The Ryukyu agency will take care of this villain. The rest of you, go inside and continue the mission."

"Aww, why does the nice dragon lady get to have all the fun with the big bronco that just showed up." BB said as Ryukyu grabbed Katsukame by the neck and slammed him into the ground to pin him there. "And why do her boobs get bigger when she transforms!"

"BB shut up and listen to her." Mage said as the police and other heroes charged forward while Ryukyu's sidekick and work study students moved to help her restrain Katsukame.

"You heard her." Fat Gum said as the heroes and cops began to run through the entrance way. "Come on let's get moving."

"This is the heroes and the police." The chief officer yelled holding up the warrant as he ran. "We have a warrant to search this premises on suspicion of manufacture and sale of illegal drugs and suspicion of illegal human experimentation."

Before them were 3 yakuza goons who'd been in the walkway up to the front door when they'd charged in. They were clearly surprised by the arrival but knew the that they weren't going to escape so they opted to fight instead. One of them raised his arm and swiped it forward sending the leaves from a nearby bush at them in many tiny needles.

"BB, front and center." Mage shouted.

"Yee-haw at last." BB said as they watched her leap over the other heroes and police to intercept the needles, never breaking stride as she landed.

All they did was bounce off her much to the surprise of Izuku and some of the other heroes who were still trying to figure out just who the American was and why she seemed so resistant to damage. They would have to ask her later though as she plowed through the trio of villains sending two into the walls on the sides of courtyard with enough force to crack it and steamrolling over the last one so that the cops could easily arrest them.

"They sure led with a brawler." Rock Lock said as they ran past. "These guys ain't scared. Good thing we've got our own heavy hitters who hit harder but can someone tell who the hell this American hero is."

"Guardian Agency sidekick called BB." Nighteye said. "She's the power hitter and shield I asked Mage to bring."

"Quickest route, get to the girl all else can be dealt with by the cops." Fat Gum said ending any discussion as they charged at the doors. "That is our focus right now."

"We've got this Deku." Togata said as he charged forward.

"Yeah." Izuku replied.

However, just as they were about to reach the doors that led into the main residence they burst open, as did a few on the sides, and a swarm of yakuza thugs came out to overwhelm the police and heroes in seconds. Their arrival here, and some outside as now Ryukyu was dealing with a tougher brawl due to the distraction freeing Katsukame from her grasp, caused utter chaos. The heroes and police tried to shout at them to resist but they were clearly beyond that as a close quarters mob attack began.

"Leave the ones out here to us." One of the heroes, the one with the gold goggles and sideburns, said. "We can handle them. Nighteye, take the big hitters and go save that girl."

"Of course." Nighteye said as he pushed past two gangsters.

"BB, Creati, stay here and help as well." Mage said as Fat Gum led the way inside. "You're best severed here."

"What?" Momo asked surprised.

"Crowd control is BB's specialty and with this many people Creation is best out here." Mage said. "Make restraints, first aid supplies, whatever. Plus, these are the people on that list and you're memory is best for quickly identifying them and their Quirks, Creati. BB, protect her."

"On it boss." BB said turning and punching a yakuza in the face sending him flying back and into a few other thugs minus several teeth.

"Right." Momo said trusting her boss and understanding that logically she was best here and making a bo staff to protect herself in these close quarters as she pulled up to remain in the fight outside. "We'll make sure they're dealt with."

"That's the spirt Booby." BB said causing Momo to turn to her in exasperation only to see a truncheon from a yakuza strike the blonde on the back of the head and shatter causing BB to swipe her hand back in annoyance as if swatting at a bug, catching the surprised thug in the jaw and dropping him. "Huh, there must be some insects around trying to sting me."

"You really are something else." Momo said as she turned, restraints being made from her calves, and swinging her staff at a yakuza to knock him out while out of the corner of her eye she saw the rescue group breach the residence. "Good thing you're on our side though now let's do as Mage said and make sure that by the time they rescue Eri we've cleared this place of villains."

Momo didn't see the nod or anything as she got into the zone, her training with Adrien having helped drastically improve her staff skills and spinning it in her hand to first parry and then knock out one of the yakuza who was trying to attack her. This was her role in the fight and while she might be needed elsewhere later, right now her duty was to help defeat and arrest the villains up here so that the others could rescue Eri. Hopefully, they would succeed.

While Momo was assisting the heroes in the courtyard and Tsu and Ochaco were with Ryukyu outside the front gate, the bulk of the big guns made it to the residence and charged in. Marinette and Adrien were part of the group right behind Mage and to one side as they followed Fat Gum and Centipeder who led the way. With them was Nighteye, Bubble Girl, Izuku, Togata, Amajiki, Kirishima, Eraser Head, Rock Lock, the chief officer, and several other officers who weren't needed outside.

As they ran through the house a few questions were asked about whether the plans were leaked or not, but the chief officer dismissed it given that it was chaotic mess and not a coordinated counter attack that was behind them. It was Eraser Head who provided the answer, they were fighting to protect their boss and base which made sense as being part of the underground their bonds were as strong as any hero team's.

There was one thing that did bother them however, the lack of top-ranking yakuza members that they'd expected to encounter. So far only one, Katsukame, had appeared to fight them, the rest, about 7 or 8 more including Chisaki himself if the list was to be believed, had yet to appear in the fight. Likely they were underground and using the chaos upstairs to grab Eri and their drugs and sneak away. Some loyalty they seemed to have letting their underlings fight and be arrested while they sculked off to safety.

That set Kirishima off, and no one could deny that he was wrong in his assessment. The henchmen were apparently loyal but almost all of the top brass either weren't or were solely loyal to Chisaki and not the old ways hence why they weren't fighting up here. It wasn't manly but it was smart.

"This is it." Nighteye said suddenly as the came to a small alcove with wooden flooring on the shelf ledge, a wall scroll in the back and a flower in a vase on the center. "There's a device here that opens a secret doorway to a hidden passage. You press down the floor boards in a specific and then…"

As he'd been speaking Nighteye had been pressing the tiles in the right order so that when he paused there was a clicking sound and the whole alcove shifted to the left to reveal an automated and reinforced door. As Bubble Girl so accurately put it, it was like a secret ninja hideout while Centipeder praised his boss's Quirk and its usefulness.

"Guards' up." Centipeder said as Nighteye and Bubble Girl moved to the side so that no one was in the way of the opening door. "We don't know what we might be facing in there."

As if to prove him right a hand suddenly appeared on the sliding door and shoved it to the side as 3 more henchmen leapt out either armed or with Quirks at the ready. Clearly they'd been waiting to ambush them just in case the heroes found the door.

"Bubble Girl, you handle the third." Centipeder said as he extended his, er Marinette was sure that they were arms but with a mutant Quirk it was hard to know, to grab two of the villains and hoist them off the ground. "I've got these two covered."

"Right." Bubble Girl said as she dodged a knife swipe while releasing bubbles from her skin which clearly explained why her costume was so revealing.

The bubbles hit the thug in the face temporarily blinging him and allowing Bubble Girl to use hand to hand combat to disarm him and then slam him face first into the floor to restrain him. Despite her fun-loving personality, it was clear she was a skilled hero in more ways than one.

"We'll make sure these guys don't follow; you go on ahead Sir." Bubble Girl said as she pinned the thug to the ground and looked up at her boss. "We'll catch up as soon as we can."

"You heard her let's move." Nighteye said as the rest charged into the entranceway and down a flight of concrete stairs. "We're almost there, hurry!"

However, as they reached the concrete hallway of the underground compound and turned they saw their way blocked by a wall of, well, concrete. The one odd thing about it was that the wall didn't look exactly natural, as if it had been erected there to block them by someone's Quirk even if it was fused to the walls, ceiling and floor.

"It looks like a dead end." The chief officer said.

"So much for your Foresight, Nighteye." Rock Lock added.

"Hold on, that doesn't look like it was originally part of the structure so let me take a look." Togata said as he walked forward towards the wall, taking off his helmet in the process. "We all know what Chisaki's Quirk can do, something like this would be easy for him."

"Lemillion, if you go through you'll be naked." Kirishima said using the upperclassman's hero name for the first time.

"It's ok, Mirio's costume was constructed from a special fiber made of his own hair." Amajiki said as Togata ran to the barrier and pressed up against it before making only his head permeable to scout out the other side. "It's designed so that it becomes permeable whenever he activates his Quirk. That way he doesn't lose his clothes whenever he uses it in the field though he still refuses to wear the special underwear the company that made his costume made for him for some reason."

"Huh Hatsume wasn't wrong then that it was made from his hair." Marinette said instantly intrigued by the idea of making a costume from one's own hair to work with a Quirk that would otherwise cause embarrassment when activated. "Clever concept for sure."

"Many heroes and students who have Quirks that would otherwise destroy or cause clothing to fall off have specialty costumes designed from things like hair or skin cells." Mage said. "Silk herself is one of the few with the skills to actually make a synthetic fiber from stuff like that though she doesn't have contracts over here."

"The hallway's just been blocked with this wall." Togata said pulling his head back and looking over his shoulder at the others causing Adrien to suddenly move forward at his words. "Unfortunately breaking through it isn't going to be…"

"Easy?" Adrien said as the black energy of Cataclysm flashed in his hand as he placed it on the wall.

Adrien imparted just enough of his Quirk to ensure it would turn to rubble before deactivating it and using his other hand to flip a timer on his mask. The timer was the latest upgrade to it as it recharged him when his time limit without having to focus on it in battle or other hero work. That and with how he'd developed his Quirk it was actually a good way to know how long he had to use it in.

That was because one of the first improvements to Cataclysm that he'd managed was to ensure that, provided that Cataclysm wasn't always active like with his ultimate move, he could basically turn it on and off again within his time limit as many times as he wanted before his body ran out of the energy needed to sustain it. Right now, his time limit was about 30 minutes and the clock had just begun ticking.

"Woah I heard about that Quirk but that was seriously fast." Rock Lock said as the wall crumbled away revealing the hallway beyond in only a few seconds. "Still, damn Chisaki for putting this in our way."

"It's a cheap trick for sure." Fat Gum said as Adrien nonchalantly walked back to the group as he wasn't the one who should be at the front if a surprise attack came at them.

"If he's doing this then we are on the right track." Izuku said. "He's doing this to slow us down as another tactic to buy himself enough time to escape with Eri."

"Well, he's an idiot if he thinks walls will stop us." Kirishima added. "We got enough people here who can easily break through though we should probably conserve Cat Noir's Quirk just in case."

"At least it didn't suck getting through." Rock Lock said looking down the empty hallway to the next wall in their way. "I was expecting something a lot worse."

"And Cat Noir beat me to the punch." Fat Gum added. "That Quirk is definitely going to be as useful as Nighteye said it would be. Nice to have the power of destruction on our side when dealing with someone who can reform matter."

"We need to keep moving." Togata said seriously walking forward ahead of the others as further down the hallway and unseen to any of them a tiny man in black robes and wearing a plague mask injected himself in the neck with a Quirk enhancing drug. "Chisaki is doing this to slow us down which means that it will take him time to reach his escape location, we can't hesitate."

Almost as soon as they began to move forward there was an animalistic, echoing, roar and the walls of the corridor began to move and shake as if being controlled by something or, well, someone as this was the age of Quirks after all. However, the walls didn't break or change forms; more it was like it was just shifting and rolling.

"This is someone different, the movements of the walls are too fluid for it to be Chisaki which means that it is probably Irinaka who's doing this." The chief officer said as he staggered to the side. "His Mimicry Quirk lets him enter objects and control them as he would his own body which means that he must have gone into the concrete in the walls down here and made this a living maze."

"It shouldn't be possible on this scale though." Rock Lock pointed out recalling what he'd read on one of the senior members of the Hassaikai from the document handed out right before the raid, Irinaka had easily stood out due to his diminutive nature and extreme napoleon complex. "He's not supposed to be able to control anything larger than a damned refrigerator with his Quirk."

"Dollars to donuts he's using a performance enhancer, we know that these bastards are making them so it's not a stretch to think that they'd used them if we attacked as a way to hold us off." Fat Gum pointed out. "I was ready for anything but the whole building coming to life to face us wasn't on the list. Still, controlling something this big has got to be wearing the guy out. Eraser Head can't you stop him?"

"I can't do anything without seeing his real body." Aizawa pointed out. "My Quirk only works if at least part of my target is within my field of view. Ladybug, can Lucky Charm make something that would be able to find a person in the walls?"

"So long as that is my goal then I can do so." Marinette said realizing what her teacher was asking for and activating her Quirk to give her something that would allow her to see other humans regardless of if they were in her field of vision or not though it was hard to concentrate with the floors rolling so much. "One sec Eraser."

"With the passageway shifting and changing like this and Chisaki's Overhaul Quirk they can create as many escape routes as possible." Amajiki said as his nerves suddenly started to get the better of him until a reassuring hand was placed on his shoulder as a flash of pink sparkles appeared above Marinette's head. "This isn't going to be easy."

"There's no way that's going to happen Tamaki." Togata said his face serious as he comforted his friend while Marinette caught what looked like a radar gun only with a large screen on the back and of course with a ladybug patter on it. "Understand, you can do this Suneater. Besides, this is just a stop gap. They can warp the path forward as much as they want, put in as many obstacles as they can make but so long as we know the direction I can still reach Eri."

"Lemillion." Nighteye said as Togata charged forward, ignoring the shaking as he plowed on ahead of everyone else while Marinette tried to figure out how to use the item but with the floor rolling her concentration was too split at that moment, something she knew she'd have to work on.

"Come back we need to do this as a team." Izuku added. "You can't face Chisaki alone."

"Speed is what matters right now." Togata said back. "Those guys know it too, that's why they're stalling for time. I'm going on ahead to stop them, catch up to me and back me up."

There was nothing that they could do to stop Togata as he ran at a wall that had been erected to stop them just like the first one and phased through it with ease. He kept on going as he slipped through the next one and another after that as he charged down the hallway to get to Eri as fast as possible.

Inside the walls Irinaka noted it and decided to leave him be, alone one pesky hero wasn't a threat to Overhaul, and he had to deal with the others instead as a few of them were problematic. The first on the list was the one in the purple cloak and hood with two kids behind him, especially the girl with what looked like an infrared device that would likely find his body for Eraser Head to then erase his Quirk.

That put them at the top of his list to deal with. Well, that and the fact that their main investor, some overseas criminal conglomerate that was willing to really pump them with more cash than they could ever dream of if they could prove their Quirk destroying drug was permanent, had sent two members to oversee the production but with one special request that the yakuza had to fulfil if certain circumstances were met.

Those circumstances were that if the heroes did attack them then Irinaka was to ensure that as soon as they were in range the hero wearing a colored cloak, matching shirt, and jeans, along with any sidekicks with him, was to be sent straight to their hidden location. They'd even had Overhaul create a special tunnel to an enclosed room deep below them where they would be waiting if the heroes came.

The heroes had of course attack and now it was Irinaka's job to do so, and he wouldn't fail his boss or the yakuza because they'd given their word that they'd do this, and their word was their bond. The man was where he needed to be and Irinaka struck while still shaking the room and just as the girl seemed to figure out the device she'd no doubt created with her Quirk.

Before any of the heroes could react, the wall to one side shot out in a stream of concrete that slammed into Mage's side, as well as Marinette's just as she finally deduced how to work the item. She was slammed into Adrien and before anyone knew it the opposite wall had opened up and a dark tunnel going down appeared into which they were thrust as the section of wall pushing them through stopped moving thus blocking the way out and the heroes ability to access them.

Not that that would matter as a second later the floor opened up and the heroes remaining, chief officer, and a few other policemen who were near enough to the heroes to be caught up in the hole fell through the floor to a room below with 3 of the 8 Bullets of the Hassaikai waiting for them. They didn't have a chance to really wonder where Mage, Ladybug and Cat Noir had gone and only hope that they would be fine as they themselves had their own situation to deal with, one in which one of the students would step up and prove his worth as a hero.

As the others were about to face 3 of the Hassaikai's elite, Adrien and Marinette were sliding down an earthen slide that twisted and turned through the earth with no idea where they and Mage were going. Thankfully with Adrien's mask, and his enhanced sight, he could see, and he managed to grab Marinette as they fell to hold her, she seemed fine if a bit bruised though she'd lost her item in the confusion, and ensure that she was safe as the fell.

They fell for what seemed like ages but in reality was less than a minute before Adrien saw an opening beneath them. He didn't know what it was, but he repositioned himself and Marinette so that they were falling feet first towards it.

"Mage, there's an opening below." Adrien shouted.

"I see it." Mage said as they reached it, his body flipping to land in a crouch on solid ground at last. "And I don't like this one bit. Stay on your guard you two."

A second later Adrien and Marinette landed, Adrien helping stabilize his lady who was a bit disorientate but seemed ok despite not being able to see. She just found his hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze to let him know he's ok before taking a step to the side so that both had room to move the moment they had to.

"Where are we?" Adrien asked as he looked around and noted that there were two figures shrouded in darkness at the other side of a square room that they'd ended up in that not even he could see with his sight and mask. "And we're not alone."

"I thought as much." Mage said standing a feeling he knew well and hated stretching out over his body, but he did note that it was different to the one he'd felt a few weeks back which was good as it gave them a chance in what was to come. "That attack targeted me deliberately to send me here. I expected her to send some overseers to make sure her investment was secure and to neutralize me but this feeling, it's old school."

"Looks like our little associate has gone and gotten himself a big boy boost." A voice from the other side of the dark room speaking in English though with an accent that Marinette and Adrien couldn't place though the tone of it was harsh and cruel said ending their own little chat. "I was skeptical that these mortals could actually be of assistance to us other than with that Quirk they've been experimenting on but looks like one at least did what was ordered of him. You're power won't work here Mage, Guardian of Magic, only your blades will and mine is better than yours or your lackies."

"Mortals have their place, and these have something we need so we must work with them, but the contingencies are in place just in case these pesky heroes that our enemies are so fond of foil their plans." A second voice with a different but equally unplaceable accent to his English said his tone imperious with an undercurrent of anger to it as dim lights began to flicker on to give the room some limited illumination, enough to fight at least. "And he has brought us the play thing we asked for with a few bonus morsels, never underestimate a little guy I always say. I for one can't wait, my blades yearn for the taste of Guardian ichor once more, it's been too long since they drank from that well."

"Well looks like we meet again, been a while now hasn't it." Mage replied in English as well with a grin as the forms of the two waiting for them came into view and the blades shot out of his gauntlets causing Marinette and Adrien to take attack stances next to him, Marinette dispelling her Lucky Charm so that she could get another within her time limit, in preparation for what was to come. "And my swordsmanship as you'd say is much better than last time. So, shall we dance then?"

I think that's a good enough place to end this chapter on, a nice, ominous cliffhanger of the challenge that the Miraculous duo will face in this arc, well the first one at least. This is how I've been able to bring them into this raid, tie a couple of things together, and still allow for the epic moments of Amajiki and Kirishima stepping up to the plate in their own moments of epic character development to occur as well though of page of course. That means that the next chapter will be an original one as it serves as their equivalent of the 'Red Riot' and 'Suneater of the Big 3' episodes. You will of course have to wait and see for what will come of it as the Overhaul arc continues and we are far from done with it so plenty more to look forward to. That is all I have for now though, so I'll leave this chapter off here for you. As always, if you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Do keep the reviews coming as I like hearing from y'all as you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep producing the best work I can for y'all to enjoy. Until next time.
