Here it is, the ninety-second full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released early due to a rare moment of being ahead of schedule so I thought I'd surprise y'all. This wasn't supposed to be a chapter, just the start of the next one, but it became too long for just a report so I made it into it's own chapter and realized that it could help with things that wouldn't normally be addressed as Marinette and Adrien aren't directly affecting them and it gives some other characters a little more page time for y'all to enjoy. I do want to give a spoiler warning here, this chapter will discuss a fair bit of the history, actions, and crimes of an MHA character, Lady Nagant, who has yet to appear in the anime and is currently only in the manga post the Paranormal Liberation War arc. She will be in the 7th season of the anime and I for one can't wait to see how she's done and who voices her but she's highly unlike to appear in my story given her arc in the manga so this will cover her a fair bit. You have been warned and if you want to avoid spoilers this is a chapter that isn't entirely necessary for Marinette and Adrien's story so it can be skipped if you would like. Anyway, that is all the administrative stuff I have for now though and as there are no review questions to answer or guest reviews to respond to I will end this note here. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from y'all. Now, though, it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 92nd full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.

Chapter 92: Report in Kyushu

"Report."

Mage spoke the single word in English as he felt the presence approach him from behind while he surveyed the city that was laid out before him. He'd never been to this city before but after the recent battle between Endeavor and a Nomu unlike any they'd seen before a few days ago, he had to see the damage first hand, so he organized the meeting here when it was proposed to him. Well, that and the person was already in the city, so it was easier for Mage to make the journey here then to ask her to return to U.A.

Regardless of his reasons for being here, he couldn't deny that the damage was bad, at least one of the tallest building had been partially destroyed by the Nomu and Endeavor and there had been plenty of other damage to smaller buildings and streets from the fighting and its aftermath. Mage was looking out at it standing at the ledge of the tallest undamaged building near it as he waited for Fei to report in.

As with any such clandestine meeting, Mage was wearing his hooded cloak with the hood up in addition to his usual Guardian attire and had activated the special feature that had been woven into the cloak. Silk, the Guardian of Fashion, made all the clothes for the Guardians and wove various additions into the clothes that those wearing them could trigger at will while wearing them.

The feature Mage had activated was the one that ensured that only marked as Guardians, or their followers could see each other if the hood was raised, a camouflage ability that allowed for ease of travel in certain areas though it didn't hid one's physical body, so you still had to avoid bumping into people. Mage had ordered that Fei activate it in her own cloak as he'd done his so that they could have this conversation without being overseen.

It was in part because this meeting had to be off the books, Mage's order to Fei to go to Kyushu and observe the battle hadn't been authorized at the time of the order. True, he'd gotten permission for her to be temporarily authorized should Endeavor fall as the Nomu was deemed a S-Rank villain thus eligible for her to engage in dragon form, but that authorization had been revoked the moment Endeavor won.

However, Fei had said that things weren't as they seemed after she arrived and wanted time to further investigate which Mage allowed and which was very much unauthorized activity. Add in that Fei's follow up request for a personal meeting had said, in code of course, that she had learned something big that worried her, and Mage had to make sure that this wasn't observed, which wasn't hard for him.

"Sir, are we safe to speak?" Fei asked in English from behind him as he felt her approach. "We may be obscured but what about our voices?"

"In addition to ensuring we can't be seen; I've tapped into Sonic's element." Mage said as Fei stepped up to stand next to him on the ledge and he showed her his drawn knife. "Easier to just make this whole area soundproof than to stop time, less of a drain on me as sound has a Guardian so I can tap into that. I'm sure Sonic will request a favor from me, this is not the first time in the last few months I've used her element, but I don't mind paying it when she comes a calling."

"Ok good." Fei said glad to see that her boss was as careful as always as her own cloak, a pink and yellow thing to Mage in the colors and patterns of her first hero outfit from when she claimed the Prodigious for the first time, fluttered in the cool night wind. "Because what I learned can't be overheard. I hope I have misread the situation, hence why I've come straight to you for your advice and guidance, but if I haven't then there's something seriously bad afoot."

"I figured as much so give me your report." Mage said not sure what Fei was going to say. "And we can go from there."

"Yes sir." Fei said with a slight bow of her head. "Basically, as I said, I got here too late to help but I did catch the aftermath from a distance. An eagle's vision is really good from a distance so I saw the aftermath from high in the sky and I can confirm that the League was involved in the attack."

"That much was to be expected given the Nomu seeing as only they make them, and we have yet to discover how or who makes them." Mage said. "I take it you know who in the League it was that was involved in this plot. Even if the reports of this Nomu's sentience are to be believed, which is hard given the past ones, but I'll trust Endeavor's report on it, they still need a handler as far as I know."

"In this case that handler was that blue flame guy, Dabi I think his name was reported to be." Fei said, she'd been fully briefed on the League of Villains and their members before coming here so she knew who they were, but Dabi was the only mysterious one as the authorities didn't know who he actually was unlike the others and his Quirk was unregistered. "Hard not to tell when he lights a circle of blue flames around Endeavor and Hawks before trying to attack them while they're injured."

"It would be the perfect moment for such an attack." Mage said. "They're wounded and Dabi is the only League member with a known ranged attack that is still active and his is especially deadly given the heat of his flames significantly surpasses Endeavor's. Seeing as we know that Endeavor and Hawks are ok, they were seen together as Endeavor was leaving the city yesterday, which is why I waited until now for this meeting, I take it he failed."

"Yup that crazed rabbit Mirko appeared out of nowhere and attacked him." Fei said with a nod. "Didn't see her coming either until she hopped in from above and tried to kick Dabi, but the villain dodged her. That woman has some serious leg muscles, and her upper body is nothing to sneer at either. I'd certainly not want to be on the end of one of her kicks and I have an enhanced constitution."

"Ask Marinette about them, she'd been kicked by Mirko back when she interned with the top female hero, a few times I think seeing as Mirko sparred with her." Mage said surprising Fei. "Mirko's Quirk lends to that, and she's known to not have an agency, fixed jurisdiction, or sidekicks. She just hops from hotspot to hotspot looking for a good fight. She only offered Marinette an internship because she needed someone who could keep up but not interfere to follow her on a few errands in Osaka and figured Marinette was best for it after the Sports Festival. I'm not surprised that she bounced into the battle. Likely she would have fought the Nomu if she could but must have been too far out though given the regeneration I think only Endeavor could have bested it."

"I figured that as well." Fei said as all Mage had said lined up with the file she'd read on Mirko when she'd been brushing up on the current top Japanese heroes before coming her for her mission. "I inspected the area after she left, Dabi fled via some warp Quirk triggered by an ally rather than engage her as well, and she cracked the pavement with her kick."

"Yeah that woman has power that is only increased with her support shoes, she'll be the new door kicker now that All Might has retired." Mage said. "But you didn't call me out here just to tell me that a bunny rabbit with a few screws loose when it comes to battle showed up right after the biggest villain fight since Kamino, did you?"

"No, it was afterwards as the whole thing felt off to me, years of undercover work has honed my instincts there." Fei said her tone getting serious. "And all my instincts pointed to a few questions like why would a Nomu attack Hawks and Endeavor directly the one time they were meeting in the former's home jurisdiction? How could it even know that it would face the new Number 1 hero as well as the Number 2 hero though the latter is expected given the city?"

"It would only know about Hawks as this isn't Endeavor's jurisdiction." Mage said thinking on what Fei had said. "And for it to attack on the one day that Endeavor is in town and right after he's confirmed as Number 1, certainly could come off as a big coincidence to anyone who thought a little on it."

"I've learned over the centuries that there is no such thing as coincidence, I'm sure a being of your age long ago understood that, Mage." Fei said looking at Mage. "You understand what I'm saying, right?"

"I do which is why we are talking and taking precautions, a good idea if you are about to imply what I think you're going to imply." Mage said looking at the Sub-Guardian next to him who'd served his order faithfully for over two centuries, so he had long come to trust her judgement. "So, you determined who was the likely leak and followed him afterwards. Tricky even with your skills."

"It would be, but his wings were almost all depleted and between mantis and snake I can easily track and follow anyone, even those with enhanced senses as to them I'm just an animal while transformed." Fei said. "Which I did, and I confirmed it as he met Dabi alone in a warehouse that night on the outskirts of the city. Sir, based on the talk they had it seems like Hawks is trying to get in with the League of Villains."

"You sure?" Mage asked as Fei confirmed what he'd suspected she'd say. "This is a serious accusation to make."

"I saw and heard it all, you can take my memories and confirm it if you want, and I know you can do that." Fei said. "But I was in Mantis form and saw him meet with Dabi. He held the one long feather he had left in sword form to Dabi's throat and said that this went down wrong, that the Nomu wasn't supposed to be that strong and that it was to happen in a warehouse not the city. Dabi just brushed it off as part of the test he had for Hawks and called Hawks out for bringing Endeavor when it was supposed to be just some random hero. Then he spoke of how Hawks came to him wanting to join and again called out Hawks for saving people while Hawks spoke of how he had to keep up appearances. It's certainly suspicious."

"It is but there is another explanation for it which I must check." Mage said thoughtfully as he pulled his phone out and began to scroll through it. "One sec, I had Technus set up the histories of all the pros in Japan for me so I could easily look them up if need be. I'll check Hawk's history and see if that can lend anything to this."

"Sir, if this is as it seems then it means that the number 2 hero is a traitor." Fei said bluntly. "That's big and should be reported. I am sure you have your ways of doing so without implicating my, um, questionably legal surveillance."

"Oh, the surveillance wasn't legal at all so we can't use it, but I think there's more to this than meets the eye based on information you haven't been read in on yet, you should understand it though as you've done similar things in the past." Mage said as he found the entry on Hawks and read it quickly looking for a few key indicators and notes from Technus on it. "Undercover work is valid for heroes so long as they stay within the Code or have special permission under special circumstances to act outside it."

"I know, I was undercover when you called me in for this and will be to some extent while here though many will know I'm a hero thanks to my work for U.A." Fei said. "But I have always worked in the shadows. This is a high-ranking public hero."

"That is why I need to check, it's certainly bold of them to use such a high-ranking hero but, well, the HPSC in Japan has always been a little bold and perhaps it wasn't their plan for Hawks to become the Number 2 so fast." Mage said as he looked over it and Technus's notes that the history was too clean, almost as if they were trying to hide missing information, which Mage had to agree with. "Yup, as I expected when you brought it up, he's the new Nagant. Still, to use a hero of his status, that's something else though Nagant herself was quite popular at the time from what I've heard."

"Nagant sir?" Fei asked confused by what Mage was saying. "I don't know that name."

"She was well after your first time here." Mage said as he put his phone away and looked at Fei again. "And before I came here but I was briefed on her as part of my clearance as a Guardian, a nice little perk of the position, and now I'm reading you in on the full story as it is pertinent to what you just found out I believe. However, this is highly classified information that can't get out, understand that?"

"Yes sir, I know how this shit works." Fei said seriously. "I take it you've cast the spell to bind it to my soul similar to the one you told me all kwamis have regarding their holders."

"I will once I'm done; you need the knowledge first for the spell to work but it's only a backup and I will know if you try to speak." Mage said. "Not that I expect you to, after so many years you've more than earned my trust and I wouldn't have let you keep the Prodigious if you hadn't shown the renlings that you were worthy of it."

"Thank you sir, I am still grateful for that and the gift you eventually bestowed upon me." Fei said with a deep bow of her head before looking up at Mage. "So, who is this Nagant character? Is she a hero?"

"A fallen hero, arguably the greatest disgrace to the Japanese hero system since it began but it was one of its own making." Mage said with a sigh. "From what I was told, Lady Nagant was a beloved hero and an expert marksman with her Rifle Quirk, the best in the nation if not one of the best in the world and given the American's love of guns that's saying something. Then, suddenly, she fell from grace when she killed a fellow pro in an argument and was sent to Tartarus Prison for life. She still resides to this day."

"Wait she's still alive?" Fei asked surprised. "I thought she was dead based on how you were talking about her."

"Oh yes she's very much alive, hasn't been there that long either as this was quite recent." Mage said. "Also, that was just the cover story for her true crime."

"True crime?" Fei asked. "What the hell did this chick do?"

"Well, she didn't kill a fellow pro, or at least the kill that sent her to Tartarus for life wasn't of a fell pro." Mage said correcting himself a bit. "As it would be a lie to say that she hasn't killed pro heroes as well because she has, a fair few actually. She has a rather high body count if I recall correctly, one that is not actually known but it was enough to mess with her mind."

"Come again?" Fei asked confused. "I don't get it. Who did she kill to end up in one of, if not the, toughest prison in the world?"

"The then President of the Heroes Public Safety Commission." Mage said simply. "Right after he ordered her to do something that pushed her past her limits, the details there are unclear, she snapped. That was the final straw and instead of following orders she killed him."

"What?" Fei asked shocked. "She killed the HPSC President?"

"Yup, guy was an asshole and a ruthless prick, but he didn't deserve that, just a jail cell for life given his corruption and how he manipulated the country." Mage said. "You see, the HPSC, just like any organization of its kind, has classified missions that are undertaken by special agents if you get my drift."

"Assassinations." Fei said understanding, she'd seen it done by other nations, but it was always a bit distasteful to her for heroes to engage in such acts unless there was absolutely no other way, which to her there was seldom no other way. "And you said she was a marksman so that makes sense that they'd use her as such."

"Yup she was their finest agent for a time, killing villains who planned terror attacks before they could do so in order to save many lives and killing corrupt heroes to avoid their corruption ruining the image of heroes and what not, so she did kill pros." Mage said. "However, that kind of work can warp your mind and cause issues and Nagant was no exception."

"I can see it, have seen it in fact." Fei said recalling one of her undercover missions many decades ago that had unearthed a corrupt hero who turned to villainy due to the stresses of the job. "Some just can't handle it and when they reach their breaking point it can be rather gruesome."

"That was certainly the case with Nagant as she killed the person giving her orders." Mage said. "But that was where it ended. Right after she killed him she just surrendered and the new HPSC President, who still holds that office, understood that Nagant had snapped and why so rather than execute her she had a cover story concocted and tossed Nagant in Tartarus to rot for the rest of her life. I think it was her way to have mercy on Nagant for what she went through."

"I mean that is a lot to deal with." Fei said. "So still living is a mercy even if it means spending the rest of your days in a maximum-security prison with the worst of the worst."

"True and now it seems that Hawks is her successor though I think he's more on the infiltration part rather than straight assassination." Mage said. "I don't doubt that he has killed for the HPSC, or at least has the authorization to do so but you've seen him on TV, he's got that charming personality, that care free attitude. He's comes off as a natural extrovert."

"Yeah I noticed that." Fei said. "It's part of how he climbed the ranks so fast. He's the hero for the late teens and early 20s right now, the heartthrob who is too cool and fast for his own good."

"Exactly but I wouldn't be surprised if that was taught to him so that he could be used for infiltration missions such as, say, infiltrating the League of Villains." Mage said. "Certainly, it's something they'd like to do after Kamino when we saw the full extent of their power and how it was beyond what was previously believed. So, who better than Hawks for it, especially because he wasn't involved with the raid. Add in that his ranking gives him credibility to the villains, he'd be a prize to join them if they could convert him and a cover to the heroes and public."

"I didn't see it like that." Fei admitted. "I'm used to more shadowy heroes and lesser-known ones doing this work seeing as that is what I used to do."

"That's the point of something like this." Mage said. "Though I think he reached number 2 independent of his work for the HPSC which attests to his natural abilities and the Commission is just using that to their advantage now."

"I see, I think I get it." Fei said as she began to process things. "What should I do about it all though? Regardless of how it really is, this is something that is going on and has serious implications to it."

"For the moment we leave this in the hands of the heroes." Mage said simply. "This is an internal Japanese matter as far as I know so we have no jurisdiction. Best to let them handle it and hope they don't mess it up."

"True but we should still help." Fei pointed out. "I know this whole hero stuff is still new to a being like you, Mage, but I was a hero before they became mainstream and understand it and the importance of helping people. Plus, it's not like we haven't elsewhere. Remember I've been all over the world, so I know how we operate."

"We have certainly played loose with our mandate in places, but Japan is a place we've never had much presence due to first purely internal issues and later the presence of All Might and even now we only have you and one other clandestine member in nation." Mage said thinking on it but understanding Fei's point. "So, for now we leave it but if something serious arises in the nation then I may send you there in mantis or snake form to ascertain the situation. When the others arrive, we can properly reassess at least in terms of how it may pertain to our role in protecting U.A."

"That sounds good." Fei said. "I am sworn to serve the Guardians so I will do as you say but remember that I am in the 5th Branch so I can do a little more than others can."

"I know and I'll take that into account but enough talk of this kinda stuff, we still have actual sanctioned work to discuss and no better time than now for you to provide me with an update." Mage said. "What is the latest report on the bakery and the four in France coming in for it?"

"I got word from France that they're training is coming along nicely and they're working hard to master baking, Japanese, and maid/butler café style work." Fei said snapping into her more business side as she gave a report on the operation that she was running. "But they're still a little ways off mastering things to the level required for the Dupain bakery and its reputation."

"That is understandable, back in the day Marinette's family was exceptional." Mage said. "And we kept that up when she disappeared, and her parents died though even we couldn't match their natural level of talent. Still, we had to keep the family alive, and we kept the bakery to as close to that standard as possible even today it's not on the same level as Marinette is."

"I've yet to try her goods but I look forward to it as I want her to bake the first batch when the bakery is ready." Fei said. "I also still want it all to open on the Chinese New Year, it will play really well to Marinette's Chinese side and heritage as well as being in the far east."

"Ambitious to get the training up to par for that kind of opening." Mage noted. "Will they be ready?"

"They're clandestine Sub-Guardians who I've worked with in the past, that's why I submitted them to you for your approval." Fei said before grinning. "And I'm no fool Mage, I know that their ancestral ties also played a role in it, so don't try to deny that that is a reason why you selected them."

"Wouldn't dream of it." Mage said with a chuckle. "It will be a little hard for Marinette and Adrien at first, but the ties should be good in the long run though I am still surprised by the Quirks that manifested in them, the odds are rather slim that they'd be like that."

"They are certainly interesting Quirks." Fei said. "But don't worry about them being ready, they will be. They're already trained in the standard clandestine work as well as normal hero work as they're fully certified heroes, so they're good on that front and Silk's got the clothes I need for them already done which checks off another box. As such, I've ordered that they be pulled from all other duties to focus on this mission. Demos can still override that, he is our overall boss, and I never know what to expect from him."

"Demos has always been like that." Mage said with a sigh. "Complex, convoluted, multifaceted, and long term with several contingencies, that's how he operates. He'll have his own plans but so long as they don't clash with ours he won't be involved, hell he might even help if it helps his own plans out."

"I don't like dealing with him, but I understand his purpose in the organization." Fei said. "And he was key in helping ensure you were able to reach this point with those two."

"Yes I owe him way too much for that but only a man of his talents could have pulled off the complex plan we needed that would allow them to quickly integrate with the current world." Mage said recalling the many years he and Demos spent setting things up just so that things would be easy for Adrien and Marinette when they returned. "But that is enough on him, I'll handle Demos if need be. Now the bakery itself, how's it coming?"

"We lost a day or two of construction thanks to that Midoriya kid's battle with that Gentle Criminal oddball." Fei said. "But that can be overcome easily enough. I expect that we'll have the building done by mid-January and then it's just a matter of getting everything installed into it and what not and I'm not talking about the baking equipment as that's the easy stuff."

"Contact the agent in Tokyo, he works directly with Technus and currently manages the Agreste family store there so he should be up to speed on the tech stuff and accelerate its installment when the time comes." Mage said. "But that is good to hear. Everything is progressing smoothly there for the grand opening and the roles you lot will play in it and the security of the school. I expect the four of them here at least a week before the bakery's opening to meet Marinette and get accustomed to the time and culture more."

"I'll see to it." Fei said making a mental note on it. "It shouldn't be too hard to accomplish."

"I expect no less." Mage said. "Everything else under control on that front?"

"It is." Fei said with a nod. "So much so that I'm not actually that busy at the moment with that hence why I was able to work here for a few days."

"Well, that ends tonight, Nezu has requested you as additional assistance in the upcoming exercise for the first years." Mage said. "Though you're more there as an emergency failsafe than anything else, other than some reports you'll be expected to write and submit to the staff that is."

"What do you want me to do?" Fei asked confused, she thought she knew her duties at U.A. but this was new. "And what exercise for that matter?"

"It's the annual Joint Training Exercise between the first-year hero classes." Mage said. "They always hold it when the winter really begins as it's the change to winter costumes for those who need it, is after the two festivals, and they've had most of the school year to grow so a good place to evaluate the classes by pitting them against each other in a combat scenario in one of the various landscapes U.A. has. Plus, if there are any promising General Studies students, it also allows for them to be special participants as a way to evaluate their transfer applications if said applications are accepted."

"Ah yes we did something similar at Shiketsu back when I did my term of study here though it was probably more formal and traditional than how U.A. does it." Fei said. "And my role in this?"

"Emergency action should we need one of your forms and I'll get the call from Nezu should it be authorized, and which forms you can use but short of a disaster don't expect to use the dragon form." Mage said. "Your orders are to go from here to Field Gamma at U.A. and stay there until after the exercise is completed. When it is going on you are to remain in mantis or snake and keep a safe distance from the kids, remember we're talking about some of the strongest Quirks out there so expect destruction and act accordingly."

"Of course, I can do that, I'm well versed in safe distance surveillance." Fei said. "And it makes sense that they'd use Field Gamma, damage is to be expected but this way it's easier to manage and adds the elements of the warehouses and industrial setting to it with all that that entails."

"Exactly though they have changed locations in the past, but this year was always going to be Field Gamma." Mage said. "I expect you to have a full report on the students for their homeroom teachers as well as a detailed one on the transfer applicants for the whole staff when this is done."

"I get the first part, that makes sense but not the second part." Fei admitted. "Why is it for the whole staff?"

"Because to approve a transfer from General Studies to the Hero Course there has to be a staff vote." Mage said. "There are two spots open because of Marinette and Adrien's admission via that little exchange transfer program we set up, but they still have to earn those places."

"Ah yes the program that I aided with all over the world and which you spent decades setting up and using just so that you could help two people lost in time." Fei said with a grin. "I know it well."

"As I said, Demos's plans can be quite complex and convoluted with many contingencies." Mage said. "Anyway, there will be two transfer applicants this year. One, Hitoshi Shinso, is all but expected to make the cut given his performance in the Sports Festival, the training that Aizawa has been giving him, and the power of his Quirk but he still has to show that in the upcoming exercise. Usually, he'd have to displace one of the current class, but he won't this time due to the extra spots."

"I saw the footage of the Sports Festival; he was quite impressive in it." Fei said. "Even if Marinette was the one who helped him to the final round she did so by using his Quirk to advance though his hold was broken by that Midoriya kid."

"Marinette understood his use and teamed up with him just as I'd expect, it helped her, and Adrien advance and we all saw how well they did." Mage said. "As for Midoriya breaking that hold, that was unexpected. From all reports, once Shinso has you under his control only physical contact with another person or him releasing his Quirk should end it, so it was a surprise when Midoriya broke the hold without either happening. He is still the only one who has ever broken it without either."

"Really?" Fei asked. "Damn, how'd he do that?"

"I actually don't know." Mage admitted. "There is a theory, but I am not at liberty to discuss it."

"Fine." Fei said understanding that this was likely something Mage couldn't discuss and leaving it at that as she trusted his judgement when it came to secrets. "And the other transfer applicant?"

"Unsure, I've not had much of a chance to evaluate him, but he's gotten Vlad's eye and been instructed by him." Mage said. "He came 45th in the Sports Festival so just missed the cut, most years he'd have made it, but Hatsume is a prodigy support student who's inventions carried her to the next stage, but he's got talent and power. The issue I've gathered is that his Quirk is a fair bit more complex than it seems at first which took a long time to control to the level needed to be a hero hence why he failed the regular entrance exam, but he was smart and got into the General Studies course with plans on transferring. It seems with Vlad's aid he's gotten enough control to give it a go."

"Intriguing, I'll keep an eye on it all." Fei said with a nod. "Anything else about it that I should know?"

"No best to keep it at that so that you're evaluations can be as unclouded as possible." Mage said shaking his head. "That way we can get your first-hand account of what happened."

"Understood." Fei said before shifting to the last thing she really wanted to talk about and seeing this as her chance to ask. "And how are they doing? Marinette and Adrien that is. I know Marinette's had some ideas she wants to run by me after she got some inspiration at the School Festival but has been too busy to do so, so why don't you tell me how they're currently doing."

"Honestly, they're doing great, really adjusting well." Mage said with a smile. "They likely still miss their friends and old life but have come to accept the situation and are making the most of this new life they are in. Plus, that song they did helped a lot I feel, and I hear they're being more couplie with their class which they need. As for training, they're still near the top of the class as to be expected and that above all else is what's helping them the most I feel. I know that Marinette's bronze medal in the Sports Festival meant a lot to her and inspired her to really shoot for gold next time."

"They do have the experience and I did love watching Marinette's fights in the Sports Festival even if she lost to Todoroki in the semis." Fei said. "I'm not surprised that they've done so well though, not after I heard the stories of Ladybug and Cat Noir back in the day."

"They will return to that level someday and then exceed it; I know it." Mage said. "And I saw more of it in the recent emergency drill. It was unplanned but after the events here Nezu sprung it on them. The concept was there, there's always a random drill, only this time it was sooner than usual due to recent events. Regardless, they did great in it."

"Unplanned drills, doesn't surprise me." Fei said.

"No, it shouldn't." Mage said. "Marinette scored the top marks, first time all year she's actually been evaluated at the top of the class for a drill, thanks to her fast change in the classroom, her tactical assessment, and rather brutal takedown of Nejire Hado. The jumping through a school window was a bit direct but didn't cost her in the end."

"Marinette took down one of the top students at the school?" Fei asked her eyes wide. "And broke a school window?

"With help from Uraraka and Hagakure but she was the main force in it." Mage said. "Broke Hado's jaw and shoulder in the process but the girl is already healed and eager for a rematch. As for the window, it was in her way after she changed so she damaged it and then jumped through it. I've spoken with her, and she accepts that she has to pay to replace it but would do it again which is to be expected from her."

"Damn that's impressive." Fei said her respect for Marinette's abilities going up again. "And Adrien, how'd he do?"

"4th in the class." Mage said. "Tsu was ranked second for her actions regarding Togata and Momo third as she was generally good overall. Adrien lost points for not asserting himself with the fire at first though his demolition of it and the building did help, as well as just standing around at times and a needless sacrifice attempt that Todoroki stopped. Right idea wrong time to test it."

"I see and you won't give any more details I take it." Fei said. "Regarding Adrien's power that is."

"Nope you'll see that soon enough, just stay clear when it happens." Mage said with a grin. "Now I should go, I have to return to the school for a staff meeting and meet Sanguina to discuss some agency stuff as she's still running it while I 'recover' from my wounds. I'll see you after the exercise Fei, keep up the good work."

"Yes sir." Fei said seriously as Mage smiled at her and then vanished into thin air at which she added. "Showoff."

Fei for her part just stepped off the building, her mind already in the right state before she turned into her eagle form and flew up into the air and turned to head back to U.A. She had a job to do there and intended to do it but after what had happened in Kyushu she knew that something big was coming. She just hoped that the heroes of Japan were ready for it when it did and soon she'd see how at least the next generation of those heroes were as she flew through the night to return to U.A.

Well, this was an unintended chapter but after realizing that it could be one I turned it into one that will help serve a lot of purposes. Due to the nature of this story, I won't be able to really address various things like how Hawks infiltrated the League and the Meta Liberation Army (later Paranormal Liberation Army when they merge at the end of season 5), Nagant and her crimes and past, and other aspects around villains off page so this way I can use Fei a little more to help tell that story and keep things in the loop. It also gives her some more page time and we get to see some more of Mage doing more real-world work for those who enjoy his character. It is a bit of a filler, side chapter but does help explain things going on and if it is liked and there is a desire for more I can do another one or two in time, it's not too hard. Other than that, I don't have anything more to say so I'll leave this surprise chapter off here. As always, if you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Do keep the reviews coming as I like hearing from y'all as you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep producing the best work I can for y'all to enjoy. Until next time.
