Here it is, the 113th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released on time as always. Winter break has come to an end which means it is time to start the final semester and what better way to start it then with a Hero Course party before they fall into training and work studies. So, as the final small arc before the special 16 chapter filler arc of original content not based off the anime, mange, or School Brief Books save for one chapter based off the second Team Up manga, it is time for the first of the two chapters in this transition arc to start the final semester. Remember, if you have any suggestions for things that you want to see during said filler arc I still have about 6 chapters to plan for it, give or take, so feel free to reach out with them and I'll see if they work out. That is really all the administrative stuff that I have for now and there are no guest reviews to respond to or questions to answer so I will end this note here. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from y'all. That is all I have for this pre chapter note so that means that it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 113th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.

Chapter 113: Party Preparations

"What are you making, Marinette?" Momo asked as she walked into the kitchen to inspect the cooking and noticed that the French girl was at the stove in her pink apron over her usual casual clothes minus her blazer making some strange looking purple soup which she was instantly curious about. "I've never seen a soup like that? Is that the base for one of the hot pots or something? I can't say I know of any hot pots that us a purple soup as its base."

Momo wasn't exactly gifted in the culinary arts, though she was better than her mother that one time her mother tried to make something for her and her classmates when she was tutoring them, so her contributions had been limited. In fact, all she'd done was buy the necessary ingredients and make any additional utensils that the class might need like the traditional bowls to serve their dishes in, but she was still curious about how the others were doing and wanted to help in any way she could.

Right now, that help meant making tea for them as that was something that Momo was good at. In that vein she currently had a pack of fine Japanese tea, not Gold Tips Imperial but still an expensive and fancy brand that she liked, in her hands and intended to make some of it for the rest of the class while they worked. As well as extra for their guests when they arrived.

However, as she'd walked into the kitchen where Sato was overseeing the various hot pots being made by those in the class with some culinary skills for the upcoming party and working with Bakugo to make the one that Bakugo was currently making palatable for normal people given Bakugo's love of spicy food, with one exception. The only person who Sato wasn't overlooking was Marinette as she worked alone and secretly on her own creation and addition to the party, something that Adrien helped make clear to everyone was not to be disturbed before he joined the culinary failures in cleaning up.

Sato was the de facto head chef of the class when if came to making normal food, but for obvious reasons he always deferred to Marinette for baked goods. So, when she'd insisted that while she wasn't going to be able to make a hot pot as she didn't know how but that she was still going to contribute with the one non baked good she could make, a special soup using a family recipe, he'd not complained about it or even tried to oversee it. Marinette was to make her dish alone and as such was left on her own for it though she was also making sure that the bread was baked just right for the upcoming party.

That was because they were having a special hot pot party to celebrate the start of the new, and final, semester of their first year at U.A. It had initially been planned for the day before the start of the semester but had been pushed back to the end of their first day after showing off what they'd learned in their work studies as some of the class were late coming back from them for various reasons. Add in that this was going to be with Class 1-B who they'd invited over, and they wanted it to be just right.

As such they were making it now and working around the kitchen as they discussed their work studies in greater detail and helped set up for the party. Those with cooking skills were in the kitchen working while those lacking, who were also designated as the washing up crew, were setting things up for Class B's arrival and making sure everything was ready.

This was what Momo had come into but had ended up being distracted by Marinette's creation. She had no idea what it was, but it certainly looked interesting. Add in that it wasn't a baked good and Momo was really curious as to what it was.

"Huh, oh no this isn't the soup base for a hot pot, it's an actual soup for us to enjoy alongside them." Marinette said as she turned to look at her friend, she could let the soup settle for a moment before adding the next thing to it and besides she had to check on the bread in a moment. "I, er, don't actually know how to make anything other than this and baked goods, which given how clumsy I can be when not doing hero work isn't a bad thing, but I figured that because hot pots have a soup base I could make this as my contribution. Plus let's be realistic, Monoma is coming, and you know he's going to make it a competition, so I want to have something special up my sleeve to counter him just in case."

"I would rather we all just get along, but I can see that." Momo said with a sigh as she looked around at the class working. "We tend to rise to his bait. Well, the guys here do."

"You mean Bakugo does." Marinette pointed out. "The rest are better controlled for the most part though we all do occasionally rise as well."

"Shut it Dupain-Cheng." Bakugo roared not looking up from the chilies he was working on with some scarily impressive skills as Sato tried his best to ensure that the ensuing hot pot wasn't overly spicy for everyone else but rather a rich blend of flavors. "If that extra starts something, I'll end it."

"Point proven." Marinette said turning back to her work as she crouched down to check the bread in the oven and assessed that it needed a little more time before it was ready. "So, I figured that while we're making 4 good staples of the hot pot repertoire, according to you lot as I've never had any of this before coming to Japan, I'd add something unique to it from my own experience."

"It certainly looks it." Momo said looking at the soup again as Marinette stood. "So, what is in it?"

"Ancient Chinese secret." Marinette said with a grin.

"Really?" Momo asked trying to see the joke in it and not getting it. "Seriously what is it?"

"No as is literally it is technically an ancient Chinese secret seeing as this is my uncle, well great uncle actually but I just called him uncle the one time I met him, recipe." Marinette said still grinning at how it actually wasn't a joke. "And he's my mother's uncle."

"Oh." Momo said getting it now and seeing why Marinette was grinning. "That's the Chinese side of your family, right?"

"Yup, my uncle made this in his restaurant in Shanghai and then when he came to Paris to participate in a contest for that existed at the time called World's Greatest Chef this was his dish." Marinette said. "Unfortunately, my arch enemy Chloe sabotaged it the first time because that's just what she didn't want soup but sushi and didn't understand the difference between Chinese and Japanese people for some reason and I defended my uncle which got to her."

"Er…" Momo said her eyes wide. "Isn't that a little racist or something? I can maybe give a pass as she is a westerner with little knowledge of the east, and I won't lie that the misunderstandings go both ways when it comes to specific nationalities bit still if she was corrected and then continued then that is bad."

"More I'd say just plain ignorant rather than outright racist on Chloe's part as I don't think she had any prejudice or malice to it, but I can't say for sure." Marinette said with a sigh. "Regardless Chloe could be the worst at times. It didn't help that the contest was held at her father's hotel with the winning dish being added to their famous menu if it was approved of and Chloe was one of the judges for it, so she was going to give it a low score to spite me and because it wasn't what she wanted. I pointed out that she didn't need to approve of it so long as the other judges liked it, so she decided to sabotage it. My uncle was devastated and then furious when he found out what she did and, well, you know…"

"Yeah I get it." Momo said looking around and then lowering her voice and switching to French when she could confirm that Aoyama wasn't in earshot so that they could be a little more open about what they spoke of though they tried to avoid using Marinette's native tongue around the others too much. "So, he was one of them seeing as I presume that this was, you know, back before what happened to you guys happened."

"Yup one of Chloe's many that she caused, basically she was responsible for a good plurality of them though I am ashamed to admit that I was also responsible for my fair share." Marinette said with a sigh also sticking to French. "My uncle was one of the stranger ones we faced as it was food based with strange anime-like weapons made of food, but we won as always, and my uncle got another shot after the judges realized something went wrong and they either booted Chloe off the jury or she resigned on her own accord to save face I can't say which. This time he nailed it and renamed the soup after me and I asked, before he won, to teach me how to make it which he did."

"So, it's Marinette Soup?" Momo asked as she processed what Marinette had said.

"Technically yes but it sounds a little pretentious to use that name here especially when no one knows the backstory and given that it was a televised contest I can't really tell it lest it lead to questions I don't want to answer at the moment." Marinette said which Momo completely understood having been said uncomfortable question master in the past. "So, I'm going to use it's original name, Celestial Soup."

"That does sound better." Momo said switching back to Japanese now that what couldn't be said in her native tongue was done while Marinette checked the bread again and determined that this time they were ready and pulled them out of the oven to cool before turning it off and going back to her soup. "And it is actually a fitting dish to make."

"It is?" Marinette asked as she added the first of the two garnishes to it, the one that caused the gold swirl in it before looking to Momo. "How so?"

"Hot pots are of Chinese origin." Momo said giving Marinette a confused look. "Didn't you know that?"

"No, I didn't." Marinette admitted. "Though, um, remember that I'm not exactly good with that side of my family. I can barely speak any Mandarin, I was too neglectful of it growing up, so I'm really bad with my mother's native tongue."

"Right, you mentioned that." Momo said recalling one of their meetings with Mage and a few others in the know where Marinette's lack of connection to half her heritage came up. "Isn't Adrien helping there and I speak it fluently so I can as well."

"He's trying and of course I love study sessions with him, both before and during our distractions." Marinette said with a slight blush while Momo went bright red at the image as she was aware of just how far Marinette had gone with her boyfriend while Marinette she switched to her Mandarin and Momo recovered from her embarrassment as she had to struggle with Marinette's thick French accent to the Chinese words. "Problem is time not enough, I, er, time mean…"

"I get it." Momo said in Japanese stopping Marinette before she butchered the language even more. "We don't really have that much time so it's hard and you do still have English to work on which is the big language taught here given its global importance as the most common second language in the world."

"I'm proficient in that language already." Marinette said switching to it as well her French accent still pretty thick in it but otherwise her English was still at the conversational level. "Enough that I'm considered tri literate but yes I don't have as much time for learning Mandarin at the moment."

"It will come, and I am sure you will get chances working with the Guardians given how they deal with so much from China." Momo said. "Speaking of them, how was the second work study?"

"Good, started off with a bang as Mage and I joined Ryukyu, Tsu, Ochaco and Hado on a team up with Selkie and his crew." Marinette said. "Selkie ran across a smuggler on his rounds but given the area he was in he needed aerial support from Ryukyu to find them while the Guardian Agency helped to smooth things out given the potential, and then confirmed, international nature of the crimes being committed. It does mean more work for Mage now, but he is on top of it."

"That is good to hear." Momo said with a smile.

"What about your work study?" Marinette asked. "You and Tokage were with Majestic, weren't you, how was it?"

"Yeah we worked with him, and it was a lot of fun, I learned a lot from him." Momo said. "Mage was right, I really benefited from working for an agency focused solely on Japan. Majestic was great teacher, and he showed a lot of faith in me as a future pro. It is strange that he calls his Quirk Magic though."

"For someone like you I can see that as I feel the same way." Marinette said. "But still it was his choice to name it that. Mage just finds it amusing."

"I heard that Majestic does have a good working relationship with Mage, apparently they work together at times." Momo said. "Mage is the best in the world at a magic-like Quirk so Majestic admires his skills and is happy that Mage is now based in Japan so he can learn a lot from him."

"Kinda hard to be better than the man with the title Guardian of Magic." Marinette pointed out. "But it does make sense. That just means that we may team up this coming semester as the work studies continue."

"I am looking forward to all I can learn this semester both here and in the field so a team up with you would be very helpful." Momo said with a nod before she noticed the time. "But I should get the tea on, Kendo will be here in no time."

"Wait." Marinette said as Momo turned, and she realized that this was perfect for what she needed

"What?" Momo asked as she turned back to her friend.

Marinette didn't said anything, she just reached out and up to the tea bag in Momo's hands into it glad to see that it was already open. Momo just looked confused, but Marinette proceeded to pull some tea leaves out of the bag and then turned to the now steaming soup and delicately sprinkled them in a circle around the golden swirl before adding the last bit to the center of the mix. The tea leaves just sat there floating on the still surface of the soup as Momo looked at it in confusion.

"I was going to ask if we could put tea in the hot pots as they can be a mix of various things and not just the normal ones that are made." Momo admitted showing her lack of culinary knowledge. "But that was unexpected."

"When I first met my uncle in Paris I gave him some flowers and showed him hospitality." Marinette said as she looked over the soup to make sure that it was done. "But I was confused by him as he didn't speak French well and had to use Adrien as a translator and this was before we started dating."

"So, you were a mess." Momo said. "Being so close to him that is."

"Not as much as normal given that my uncle was there but yeah I was still my usual self around Adrien at the time." Marinette admitted. "And I was confused by it because I thought that he didn't like them as he was plucking the flowers and ruining it. I didn't know if he liked me, but I still defended him and that was when Adrien told me that my uncle had told him that he was going to use the flowers in the soup as he is always happy when surprise ingredients come into his life."

"Ok so flowers or leaves are part of it?" Momo asked confused.

"Not necessarily." Marinette said shaking her head. "What I learned was that the final addition to the soup is always different which is what makes the soup so special and that that ingredient is something that has come into the maker's life as a surprise that day. I was trying to figure out how that worked and then you came here with the tea Momo, and I realized that it was perfect for what I wanted. It's both a Japanese addition as that is a Japanese blend, right?"

"Correct, one of my favorites but not Gold Tips Imperial." Momo confirmed. "My mother sent it as this month's tea for me to share with you all."

"Then it really is perfect." Marinette said as she switched to French and looked at Momo, the noise around them easily covering what she had to say. "Your tea is fitting in many ways because they are Japanese and thus represent my new life here that Adrien and I have made for ourselves in the wake of the incident. Beyond that, however, they are your favorite Momo, well tea in general is your go to beverage at least, and, well, other than Adrien there's no one here I trust as much as I trust you. Not only did you learn my language to be respectful and welcoming to me and Adrien but, well…"

"I know Marinette, there's no need to say anymore." Momo said in French, she really wanted to pull Marinette in for a hug, but she couldn't in this setting and with their height difference Marinette would again get a face full of Momo's assets not that Momo would notice. "It means a lot to me that you would think so much of that for you soup. Thank you for being my friend and for having such faith in me after everything."

"Of course." Marinette said as she turned back to her work because her eyes were watering as she switched back to Japanese. "But, um, I need to make sure everything is ready with the soup so why don't you make that tea for us; I'd love to try it properly."

"Of course." Momo said understanding as she left to make the tea smiling as she did.

Marinette did as well as she created an item to dab her eyes and get back to working on the soup. She had moved on as best she could for someone in her situation and made the most of her new life but having someone who understood her true story and accepted it, beyond Adrien of course, meant a lot to her and brought back all those memories. They were good memories of course but still hard to deal with.

Regardless, Marinette knew her friends would want her to make the most of her life now that she'd returned to it from the stasis she'd been in, to live it to the fullest no matter where she ended up and she intended to with her new friends and family that U.A. had become. Today was just another day for it and Marinette resumed her work to make this party the best party she could knowing that Adrien was doing the same thing as he too worked on the party in his own way.

Adrien's work for the party involved helping set up with Todoroki and Izuku. None of them had the cooking skills needed for this event and were not allowed to be near the kitchen for it so they were on tidy up and making sure things were set up and ready duty. Well, that and washing up duty once the event was over unless something totally unexpected happened that caused chaos for the students but the chances of that were slim. It also gave them the perfect chance to catch up about their internships which they were doing.

"No way, you were given the task to beat Endeavor to a villain takedown by the end of the break?" Adrien asked as Izuku finished telling him of that task that Endeavor had set the three of them as part of their work study. "That can't have been easy given he's the Number 1 hero."

"It wasn't." Izuku said. "And Endeavor really showed us how he did things, it's uncanny how well attuned he is to his area and acts accordingly. I learned a lot from his as my teacher, things I couldn't learn from others which will help me as I grow as a hero."

"Despite being a bastard, he certainly has earned his status." Todoroki said simply. "There was a lot we learned from him during the work study, it was why I agreed to work for him. I was worried that he'd treat me differently and just dump off Midoriya and Bakugo on his sidekicks but after we ran into Hawks on the first day he decided, after secluding himself in his office for a bit, to train all of us. That was what I wanted and why I had my friends join me, so it was really helpful."

"It was pretty cool meeting Hawks." Izuku said going into full hero fanboy mode. "He was really fast and helped apprehend a villain and his underlings on the first day before we could reach them and take them down while Endeavor took down the main one. Then he gave us a book on the Meta Liberation Army that he was promoting. I read it and it's strange."

"Meta Liberation War?" Adrien asked. "He gave you that book?"

"Yeah that's the one." Izuku said surprised that Adrien had heard of it. "Hawks had a lot of copies and seemed to be really promoting it, even gave one to Endeavor but it's just a book about freedom to use Quirks which would be chaos if it was followed as the author intended. That and it also preached that Quirk regulations were unjustified tyranny which made violence against that tyranny ok."

"Yeah I read it over the break." Adrien said getting surprised looks from them. "What? I had a mission to apprehend a fugitive out in Fukui, well the mountains near it, and that fugitive was trying to link up with a terror cell associated with that book so the sidekick in charge of the mission, Mage was on his own mission with Marinette and some other agencies out in the Pacific, gave me a copy to read. It's just propaganda to justify Destro's terrorism in my opinion. Seductive propaganda for sure and as with even the worst of extremists the very heart of it before it was warped to the extreme makes some interesting points for debate regarding how much should be regulated but it takes it too far and is just the excuse Destro made."

"Then why was Hawks promoting it?" Todoroki asked confused by what Adrien was saying in regard to the book, he hadn't bothered to read it yet. "If it is that bad then why is the Number 2 seemingly in favor of it?"

"Probably as a way to bring attention to it." Adrien said with a shrug. "He is the Number 2 hero, so he had to have earned that spot with his hard work and keen understanding of villains. No doubt he has some concerns about it as the book is a bestseller again, so he was trying to raise some awareness or something. It is something that could regain support in the wake a massive cultural shift and we've just been through that with the retirement of All Might."

"That would make sense." Izuku said thinking on it. "He was overly cheery about it but that could just be a front as he hands it out to be a warning to other heroes so that they understand it and can counter it. Certainly, with the League of Villains seeming to be in hiding but crime still rising there is a chance that an old philosophy like this would make a comeback and without All Might it could fill some sort of void in the public conscious. Then you add in what happened in Deika recently and this message could be seductive to some. Still…"

"Classic Midoriya." Adrien said with a grin as he turned to Todoroki while Izuku devolved into a full-on muttering storm that was best to be left to run is course on its own as neither would be able to get in a word until Izuku was done with his analysis. "So how was the rest of your work study? Anything of interest happen during it?"

"A fair bit, some that I can't go in now, but we did have an awkward family dinner that was still nice." Todoroki said. "The food was at least but, well, things could have gone better."

"You took them to you house for dinner?" Adrien asked looking at Izuku though implying Bakugo as well though he was actually competent in the kitchen, so he was on the cooking team. "With your father and family?"

"Yup, it was as uncomfortable as you'd imagine." Todoroki said not going into details about Toya though he did trust Adrien enough to share it, and he knew that Adrien had lost a close family member, so he'd understand, but now was not the time. "Then some villain hyped up on Trigger caught my older brother and tried to use it to get Endeavor to kill him while ranting that he was no better than a Nomu and wanted Endeavor to be the one to kill him as he'd been the one to capture him in the past or something like that. Dad paused at Natsuo being captured, but we didn't and saved Natsuo and beat Endeavor to apprehending a villain before the end of break. That was yesterday right at the end by the way."

"Oh yeah that." Izuku said getting back to the conversation having finished his mumble storm on the Meta Liberation Army and rejoining the conversation. "I was finally able to get a sense on Blackwhip, that black energy aspect of my Quirk, during that incident and it was thanks to Endeavor's advice that I managed it. I really learned a lot from him."

"You mentioned in the changing room earlier, before Bakugo threw his headpiece thing at you." Adrien said recalling the amusing moment with a chuckle. "That's great that you've gotten the hang of it."

"Well, I understand the basics of it." Izuku said. "I still need a lot of training but that's what this semester is for. We're working weekends and two weekdays at the Endeavor Agency so long as we can manage it as well as training as hard as we can so I am going to do all I can to improve."

"We all will." Adrien said. "I've got the same work schedule with the Guardian Agency this semester and I intend to work on my Quirkless combat as well. I couldn't use my Quirk when we took down the fugitive that we were after at the start of the work study but between myself and two sidekicks we managed it. Still, I need to improve there as I just used my raw strength to win so I really need to master my finesse at that kind of combat as well."

"You apprehended a fugitive?" Todoroki asked.

"Yeah, pretty much on my second day of the work study." Adrien said. "We got a team up request that Marinette and Mage took and then one of the sidekicks who'd been out of the country briefly to follow a fugitive that has eluded the Guardians for 8 years while cutting a path of destruction wherever she went reported that the fugitive, an American, had arrived in Japan with some followers."

"That doesn't sound good." Izuku said. "Though I've never heard of a villain like that."

"Well, she was active in the Americas for most of her time, she only recently made it to the far east and even then was mostly south of Japan until recently." Adrien said. "I got briefed on that and who she was as well as the danger she posed. Pretty much as soon as that was done we got the go call and told to haul ass to Fukui as she'd holed up in a good place to catch her without collateral damage or civilian deaths, but we didn't know if it would last so we struck right away. It was a very quick mission, bit of a blur really, but thanks to the location preventing her going full destruction on us coupled with our Quirks and training we caught her."

"Oh, I think I heard of that." Izuku said as he did recall a report of a noted fugitive being apprehended but it wasn't one who'd ever been active in Japan, so he'd not paid it much notice. "There was a report that a bunch of fugitives had been caught including one that the Americans have been after for a while. I didn't realize that was you though."

"International fugitives, smugglers, and cross borders financial crimes are the three main areas of the Guardian Agency's jurisdiction." Adrien said. "We deal with the first two, the third is a more specialized team though they did help out in the background of my own mission. That was in the first few days so both Marinette and myself had to deal with one each. It was certainly interesting and challenging but we got her in the end and finally she's going to face justice."

"That's good." Izuku said. "We mainly did patrols and trained; it wasn't until the end that we actually beat Endeavor."

"Yeah after the excitement at the start of the work study things petered out from there." Adrien said. "The rest of the break was just patrols, training and investigations for future potential raids. Still very useful."

"Definitely." Todoroki said. "That is what these work studies are teaching us after all."

"Actually, we almost contacted you guys for help." Izuku said.

"You did?" Adrien asked. "Did you deal with something in the Guardian's purview then."

"No, we didn't have any international issues." Todoroki said shaking his head. "But we encountered a, well not really a villain, but more a nuisance who used his Quirk to evade capture. His crimes were petty misdemeanors, all graffiti related vandalism actually, so bellow Endeavor's notice despite the police begging for help as they couldn't catch the guy due to him embarrassing them, but when the guy tagged my family's house Endeavor got personally involved."

"He seems like the guy to take something like that personally." Adrien said.

"Yup he really did." Todoroki said. "And it got worse after he gave us the slip twice when we tried to catch him and that including getting one over on my old man in the process. His Quirk isn't really an offensive one and he seems to have limited control over its application, but it is damned effective at allowing for a get away and can work through screens. Midoriya pointed out that it could be a great hero Quirk and I agree on that front, but I digress."

"Wait I think I saw something like this." Adrien said. "Didn't like a large portion of the nation get affected by it when he smiled after being arrested. Some wannabe street artist called Mr. Smiley if I recall correctly. I didn't realize that you were the guys dealing with him."

"Yup that's him." Izuku said with a nod. "We tried to catch him normally and then with a robot made by Hatsume and Power Loader but both failed due to his Quirk which even works on robots, so we were getting desperate. Endeavor and Kacchan had their own plan, but Todoroki and I had other ideas. I though that either Mr. Aizawa's Erasure or Dupain-Cheng's Lucky Charm might be able to give us the edge against him as one can erase his Quirk and the other can just create something to counter it."

"That is how Marinette's works, for the most part though I have yet to see what happened a few times back in France when it tells her to summon an ally to win which shows how much stronger she's become." Adrien said and moved on before the others could ask about that as they'd never heard of that aspect of Lucky Charm before. "So that is why you were thinking of reaching out to us, to personally request my lady for a team up."

"Endeavor had his own plan to take down Mr. Smiley though when I told him that she was the one who, er, spat in my face at the Sports Festival he considered it if Bakugo couldn't do it." Todoroki said. "Apparently he does remember her performance because of how much of a challenge she was to me."

"Challenge?" Adrien asked. "Dude, you were dead to rights in that match even with Marinette trapped in your ice. You only advanced because of that punch you'd landed caused her mouth to fill with blood and for some reason that I still don't understand she decided to spit it in your face to clear her mouth rather than just let it run down her chin. That cost her a slap that would have knocked you senseless and allowed her to break out of the ice she was in and then knock you out despite the burns on her arm and side. Your natural instincts to such a revolting act being committed kicked in and because you'd managed to temporarily hold her in place she couldn't get away. That was how you won."

"It was certainly an unexpected strategy." Izuku said with a nod. "A lot of factors went into that for sure, but I agree with Agreste, the spit was what decided it in the end because Dupain-Cheng showed that she could break out of your ice, so she wasn't captured."

"I know and frankly I don't want to experience that again, getting a face full of watery blood spat at you by a restrained, topless, girl wasn't something I was expecting." Todoroki said. "Though at least she still had her bra on, so she was still covered up. I reacted as I did and because of the restraints I was able to land that blow that won it, but I do agree that in hindsight Dupain-Cheng was the stronger combatant in that match. I would love to fight her again and see how we compare after two semesters and all the training, minus the, um, lack of a top thing."

"You did burn her top off though thankfully her special bras are flame retardant so that stayed on or else I may have been upset." Adrien said with a grin and Todoroki was immediately glad that he'd not seen Dupain-Cheng completely topless because he didn't think he could handle her irate boyfriend and that wasn't factoring in the fact that of everyone in the class Adrien's Quirk was basically a perfect nullifier of his own. "But yeah it was a good battle so no wonder your dad remembers it."

"It helped consider requesting her aid but in the end I had a better idea." Izuku said. "I began to understand Mr. Smiley's passion and issues, they were similar to my own hero aspirations that a lot told me weren't going to happen, so I could sympathize. Mr. Smiley just wanted to be seen for his art and was frustrated that the art community didn't like it, so I created a website for that so that he could show it off directly to the public and told him as much. He realized that that would help and surrendered, after helping us stop a robbery that suddenly happened that is. Unfortunately, as he was being led away he looked at the camera and the nation laughed."

"I was in a training session then." Adrien said. "So thankfully I missed it, but Mage was amused afterwards apparently as a good portion of the sidekicks where affected by it."

"It was certainly not something that we shouldn't have let happen." Todoroki said. "But Midoriya was right in how he handled it."

"Other than that, one it was pretty standard in general." Izuku said as they finished setting up and returned to the main common area to the smells of the various hot pots as they were finished. "Still, all very…"

"Knock, knock." A loud, feminine, voice suddenly called out and the three boys, along with pretty much everyone in the room turned to see the front door open and the speaker, Itsuka Kendo, walk in with the rest of the girls of Class 1-B. "So, let's get this party started already!"

I think this is a good place to leave this chapter off, been a while since I had a good cliffhanger and while it isn't a serious one it is still a fun one to have. Just a nice prep chapter for the coming party with some good conversations, a good old throwback to season 1 of Miraculous Ladybug, some emotional stuff, and the boys chatting a bit with a reference to an OVA. I had thought about adapting the Mr. Smiley OVA but I just couldn't really fit it so this is the best I can do for it. Anyway, next up is the party with Class 1-B and that is based off a chapter from the 5th School Brief book, the last for the moment based off those books as I've caught up with them and I am not sure if I will be able to use any of the 6th one when it comes out in the new year. Now, though, it is time for a nice, friendly, hot pot party, what could possibly go wrong with that? Well stay tuned as it's coming next week. However, that is all that I have for y'all so I will leave this chapter off here. As always, if you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Do keep the reviews coming as I like hearing from y'all as you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep producing the best work I can for y'all to enjoy. Until next time.
