Harry groaned as he lay on the ground, where he had crashed. Once again, he silently thanked the God of Creation for blessing him with a [Healthy Body]. Without it, he knew he wouldn't be able to work in the fields for a while.
As he sat up, his clothes covered in mud and dirt, he pondered how to approach his next attempt at flying with Ru's method. Initially, he assumed it would be a breeze since his first time on the broom felt so natural, as if he were born with it in his hands.
He was completely mistaken. He had lost track of how many times he had crash-landed on the ground. Without God's blessing, he would be covered in bruises, cuts, and broken bones.
Taking a deep breath, Harry got to his feet and wiped the dirt off his clothes as he carefully reviewed Ru's instructions in his head. From what she explained to him, the flying spell worked on gathering wind around oneself and using its current proper to soar through the sky.
His main problem was that if he didn't use enough magic, the wind wasn't strong enough to lift him from the ground, and if he used too much magic, he would lose control of the wind, resulting in a turbulent and uncontrollable flight.
It didn't help that Ru's magic was used differently than his. While he used magic mostly on intent, Ru was using it by creating magic circles that guided how the wind was supposed to behave and how much power it gathered.
While Ru utilized her spell, the circles played a significant role, allowing her to focus solely on the intended direction of the flight. In contrast, Harry had to focus on harnessing the wind, ensuring precise release of the appropriate amount to avoid overpowering or underpowering the spell. Only after that could he decide on his flight path.
Whenever he lost focus on a particular element, he would plummet to the ground. He could attempt to learn magic from her technique of creating circles in the air, but he would need to begin with basic spells like generating light, a prospect he was not keen on.
Harry was too impatient in his desire to fly without the broom support, so before trying to do Ru's method, he chose to try and recreate it with his own magic. The fact that Ru had centuries of experience and that her magic circles were almost like breathing at this point also played a big part, as she couldn't explain it in a much easier way.
He observed a key distinction in the way both he and Ru practiced magic. His magic primarily relied on his willpower and focus to cast spells, while incantations, wand movements, or, in his case, hand gestures, appeared to aid in concentrating his magic for specific tasks.
The magic circles crafted by Ru harnessed not only the vampire's magic but also the energy from the surrounding environment. The spell cast through the circle was influenced by how it was inscribed, enabling the circle itself to control the magic. Ru created the circle and customized specific symbols within it to adjust its function.
Harry also noted that Ru's centuries of experience played a significant role in her magical prowess, making it seem effortless to utilize magic circles, sometimes even making them so small that you couldn't see them at first sight.
She could create the most complicated formulas in an instant out of reflex. He has no doubt that any other mage wouldn't be as capable as her in this. From what he saw, magic circles were the most common with runecraft, and as in runecrafting, they needed some time to prepare.
The simple [fireball] spell that she showed him after he asked for demonstration of some of the lower spells would take at the very least a few seconds to be cast by average mage from what she said, and yet she did it with a mere snap of her fingers.
Only cementing his opinion of her as an extraordinary witch with unparalleled skills. He has no doubt that Ru could be on the same level as Dumbledore and Voldemort, if not even stronger. Harry doubted that he could win in a fair fight against her.
As he was going to start his next attempt at flying, a cough from behind him stopped him from doing so.
Turning around, he saw his vampire fiancee dressed in a sleek black outfit that accentuated her ethereal beauty. Ru much more preferred the clothes made by Shelob over the ones she conjured, saying that they were the best quality she ever wore.
Her blue eyes locked onto his as she approached, carrying a basket in her hands, a small smile playing on her lips.
"Do you have a moment to take a break from digging yourself into the ground?" She said with amusement, showing him a basket.
"Haha, laugh as much as you want, but I will be flying through the sky in no time, even better than you." Harry replied with a smile, rolling his eyes. "But a break sounds nice; what do you have in the basket?"
"Not so fast," she said, stopping his approach by holding her hand in his direction. "I won't eat with someone as dirty as you."
A magic circle appeared under his feet, and all the dirt and mud started to disappear from his body and clothes in a flash of light. Harry felt as if he took a quick cold shower.
"Much better," smiled Ru, as her slender arm catched Harry's "shall we?"
They began walking in the direction of the place where he planted fruit trees to sit down in their shadows. As they walked, Alice, who until this moment quietly layed nearby and observed her master's struggle, followed in their way.
"So what took you out of your laboratory?" began Harry, knowing that Ru spent most of her free time with her research; he even had to drag her back to rest sometimes after she spent a few nights in a row there.
He could see a blush forming on her face at his question. "Well," she hesitated for just an instant. "I was just finishing up one of my experiments when I thought I would like to spend some time with you, Honeybuns."
When she first called him that, Harry had a hard time controlling his laughter. However, over time, he came to find it endearing and has grown fond of his new nickname, which now fills him with a sense of warmth.
"That's sweet of you," smiled Harry, "and I thought that I would need to drag you once more from there so you would eat and sleep."
She pouted at him and said, "Says the man that spent all the afternoon crashing into the ground."
"I did not crash; I gracefully descended." Harry defended himself with a smirk.
Ru rolled her eyes playfully. "Sure, sure. Gracefully descended with a loud thud. Many times at that, and I heard every time, even from my lab."
They both chuckled at this, and after a short moment, they arrived at the planned spot. Harry conjured a blanket near one of the trees on which they sat down, with Harry leaning back against the trunk of a tree and Ru sitting right beside him, placing the basket in front of them.
Alice watched the exchange between her master and his mate with interest, wagging her tail happily. As they settled under the shade of the fruit trees, a gentle breeze rustled the leaves above them, creating a soothing atmosphere.
Ru unpacked the basket, revealing an assortment of delicious foods she had prepared earlier. The aroma wafted through the air, making Harry's stomach growl with anticipation.
"Wow, you really outdid yourself this time," he said.
Ru beamed at his reaction. "I wanted to repay you for all the dinners that you cooked," she said as she handed him a salad. "I may not be the best cook out there, but I tried my best."
Harry accepted the salad with a grateful smile. "I appreciate the effort, Ru. I'm sure it tastes delicious."
Alice, who settled comfortably beside Ru, eagerly accepted the occasional treat that Harry and Ru offered her. The vampire princess rested her head on Harry's shoulder. He leaned back, feeling content and relaxed. As they savored their meal together, conversation flowed easily, and they enjoyed each other's company.

As winter came, Harry and Ru mostly stayed indoors. Alice and Padfoot joined them in the house, while the other wolves remained in the doghouse. Just like the previous winter, Shelob hibernated, with all her spider children following her into hiding.
With days being shorter and nights seeming never-ending as snow blanked the ground outside, they mostly enjoyed each other's company and taking care of their side projects.
Harry's main duties were to clear the snow from blocking the entrance of their home and the way to Ru's laboratory. And feeding wolves in their doghouse, before winter came, they gathered a good amount of harvest that right now was under preservation spells, so they didn't have to fear them going rotten.
Ru spent most of the day in the lab, conducting her research. Harry didn't doubt that she would appreciate having more cauldrons there, considering she had already started brewing potions at an OWL level.
During his free time, Harry continued to broaden his magical knowledge and craft enchanted items using runecraft. Currently, he was busy creating a special gift for Ru: a pair of small glasses designed to translate the books she read directly for her.
These glasses incorporated intricate runes that, when activated, would overlay translations onto the original text in real time. Harry carefully etched each rune onto the delicate frames, infusing them with magical energy to ensure they functioned seamlessly.
This project was his first real challenge when it came to runecrafting. Harry started to plan these even before the first snow started to fall from the sky. The idea for it was created from the fact that some of the books that he translated for Ru started to disappear after a month of being created, and he didn't want to constantly cast this spell. Especially with the fact that he started to give Ru new books already.
Harry's attempts to learn how to fly have been unsuccessful so far. He could use it to propel himself in a specific direction and even float in place, but true flight eluded him. This was incredibly frustrating. He believed that with more practice in occlumency, he would be able to focus better on the necessary tasks.
Speaking of occlumency, Ru started to learn it as well, seeing him one evening in a meditative position after asking him what he was doing and why she quickly wanted to learn it as well.
So they started practicing together, trying to keep their minds shielded from each other's probing and intrusion. It wasn't easy at first, but they kept at it, determined to master the skill. With time and practice, they both began to feel more in control of their own minds.
Ru even stated that, thanks to occlumency, she had an easier time creating her magic circles. She could do more complicated formulas even faster than before and even created a few new spells that she took inspiration from a few charms that Harry had shown her.
At the moment, Harry once again sat down at this work desk, engraving runes into the frames of the glasses that he was constructing. Half of the winter had already passed, and he was pretty sure that he was getting close to finishing his gift for Ru soon.
Ru came and sat down next to him in a nice, comfy armchair. In her hands was a cup of hot tea. "Still not going to tell me what you are working on, Honeybuns?" asked Ru, watching him work.
He smiled and replied, "I'm sorry, Ru. It's a secret project for now. You will see soon enough."
She sighed in annoyance at that. "Fine," she said as she sipped her tea. "I'll just have to wait then, won't I?"
Harry chuckled at her frustration, knowing that she despises being unaware of things. He could see her curiosity dubbing under the surface, but he enjoyed teasing her a little.
Seeing that she wouldn't be capable of persuading Harry to let her know what he was working on, she took a book that was lying on a small table next to the armchair and started reading it.
The book was about charms. Harry gave it to her a while ago to take her mind off only potion making and to help her in the creation of new magic circle-based spells, believing that delving into charms would spice up her magical skills even more.
As both were engrossed in their task, a comfortable silence settled in the room, only interrupted by the faint sound of Harry's tool etching symbols and Ru flipping through pages.
From time to time, Harry stole glances at Ru, admiring her beauty and the way her eyes sparkled when she was deep in thought. She caught his gaze and raised an eyebrow, a playful smile tugging at the corners of her lips. He quickly returned his focus to his workbench with a blush on his face.
Ru noticed the blush on Harry's face and couldn't help but giggle softly to herself. She found his reactions endearing, even after all this time together.
Further into the evening, as both of them started to feel sleepy, Ru closed the book and walked over to Harry's workbench. She peered over his shoulder to look at his work.
Ru gently rested her chin on Harry's shoulder to get a closer look at the intricate runes he was engraving, trying to guess what purpose they had. Her curiosity piqued, but she refrained from asking more questions as she knew Harry wouldn't answer them.
She couldn't recognize the runes that he was using, and from the form of the device he created, she could guess that it was some kind of goggles, but she had no idea what kind of effect the runes would provide to them.
Maybe they would allow one to see magic flow or enhance focus, she thought to herself. Harry, feeling additional weight on his shoulder, stopped working after a moment and looked at her.
"Yes?" he asked.
Ru sighted, "It's getting late, Honeybuns. We should get some rest soon; it's not healthy to work so late into the night."
Harry smirked at that. "Said the vampire," he teased as he turned to face her.
Ru playfully rolled her eyes at the remark but couldn't contain her grin. "Oh, hush you," she replied, giving him a gentle nudge with her elbow.
Harry was well aware that most of what he had learned about vampires in school was inaccurate when it came to Ru. She had no issues walking in daylight or consuming garlic without any concerns, and he had witnessed her visibly tired after working on projects for several days without sleep.
He placed his tools back on the wooden desk and started to get up from the chair, stretching his arms over his head before turning toward Ru. She beamed at him, gently took his hand in hers, and started to lead him to the bedroom.
"Eh, Ru, what are you doing?" asked nervously, Harry. When they started to live together, Ru took the bedroom while Harry slept in the living room on the sofa.
Ru smiled softly. "I think it's about time you join me in the bedroom, Honeybuns," she teased, gently tugging him along.
Harry blinked in surprise, feeling a mix of excitement and embarrassment. "Are you sure about this?" he asked.
Ru simply grinned. "Trust me, I want you close tonight," she whispered, her voice filled with lust.
Harry followed Ru into the bedroom, his heart racing with anticipation. It was going to be a long night for both of them.
—-xXx—-
Winter came to a close, and the snow has already melted. Harry felt that this winter was much shorter than the last one, but it may be because of Ru's presence in his life. Especially after they started to share a bed together.
He succeeded in finishing his project just a few days ago, and when he gifted the glasses to Ru, she was ecstatic and said that he got 'properly rewarded' as she said for them.
But with the end of winter, the busy life on the farm would begin once more. They began planting crops already, with tomatoes and potatoes being the most liked by residents of the farm, taking the most fields.
He also decided to build new fields on the north side from the fruit trees, knowing that the wolves that were born last year will probably go and look for their own mates, so they would need to be fed.
Ru helped him when it came to preparing the fields for new crops and, in her free time, continued her study of potion making. With her new glasses, she didn't have to ask Harry to renew his translation spell on the books, as she could read directly from the original.
Shelob and her offspring have awoken from their slumber, and it appears that over the winter, her younglings have noticeably grown. The spiderlings have increased in size, reaching the size of his fist, and are now occupying smaller trees as their new homes.
They are already back on their job as pest prevention, walking on their webbed bridges that are above the fields. The spiders diligently inspect every corner for any unwanted insects, and with expert precision, they could easily remove any threat to the crops.
Wolves began their hunting once more when the snow melted completely. The first thing they hunted was a giant boar that they led to Harry so he could finish it off. He was thankful for the steady supply of meat that they provided but started to worry about the fact that with the enormous amount of hunting the pack was doing, the population of rabbits and boars would go extinct.
He is troubled by this, but for now, he chooses to wait and see what will happen. The horns of wolves also began to fall from their foreheads. He gathered them all and placed them into his vault, uncertain of their potential usefulness.
Months after the spring came, young wolves once more gathered before Harry, and after saying their goodbyes, they went into the forest in search of potential mates. But not all the young wolves did it, as some paired with other wolves from the farm.
Snow, the offspring of Gandalf and Terra with white fur, was paired with a pup from Pippin and Ember. Though her partner appeared roughed up, they seemed to have a good relationship. Harry observed that the females tended to be more dominant in these pairs.
Given the new pairings and future ones that will come back, Harry started to expand dog houses. He couldn't construct a single house for every couple, so he built a few longhouses that resembled horse stables.
A few days after the wolves went into the forest, a large gathering of the spiders also approached him and raised their arms to say goodbye. They flew away on small parachutes made out of their webs.
Harry realized that, unlike the wolves, this spider would not return. While saddened by this fact, as he was about to return to work, he was surprised to see Shelob standing in front of him with more of her offspring, including a few larger spiders that chose to stay on the farm.
As the weather continued to heat up, Ru and Harry began wearing newly designed clothes crafted by Shelob. The spider was showing improvement in creating clothing with each new attempt.
Ru was delighted with her new dress that Shelob created for her. The black short summer dress hugged her in all the right places, and the lightweight fabric made it ideal for the warm weather.
Harry, as a thank-you gift for wonderful clothes, made a bunch of wooden mannequins for her so she could improve her clothes-crafting skills even more. The mannequins were enchanted to be capable of simple movement and were the size of Harry and Ru.
Shelob was overjoyed with them and had already begun designing new clothes. Her younglings were too small to create such big things but could create small cushions, bags, and handkerchiefs. More complicated shapes were impossible for them to make.
Ru, seeing the cushions that were filled with grass, wanted one for the toilet seat, but the spiders didn't know how to make an 'O'-shaped bag for it. After Harry's suggestion of using an 'U' shape, spiders started to look at him with even more admiration than before.
A month has passed since the time the wolves went looking for new mates, and Harry knew that the first pairs should arrive shortly. Harvest was also quickly approaching, and he would love to get more help with the additional fields that he created.
As he was thinking about that, he heard the alarm from Shelob that something was happening in the north.
Response to reviews:
Sandwich-kun the 3rd, frankieu, Potternatzu, knygia, Ronin Kenshin, firelordeg, DarkFire3501, Lazymanjones96, .upg, flame55, James Birdsong, I am the box ghost, .9279, Sageofchaos: Thanks for reading, and I hope that you will enjoy this new chapter as well!
TwinstarDragon: It's a good idea when it comes to how to bring both Hedwig and Delacours to a new world. I already want Harry to be summoned back forcefully back for the British subplot so he could wreck havoc on Britain, so to speak, but that would be in the future, at the very least after a few years from Harry's perspective. Some characters will be brought with him back to a new world, but I won't tell which one. Thanks for reading!
kyuuti999: Not exactly the same; I haven't decided yet how big the time difference is. But it won't be anything big, as 1 year in the HPverse is equal to 10 years in the new world. At most, there would be a difference of a few months—nothing big. Thanks for reading!
Lordlexx: I mostly go by the manga or novel when it comes to events, with a few additional scenes added by myself, as with fishing, for example. For certain, I won't remove some elements as anime did (the dragon family, for example), even if it will be painful to introduce so many dragons at once. Thanks for reading!
agnar: I'm glad that you got to know the Isekai Nonbiri thanks to this fic! Thanks for reading!
Jlargent: He won't be especially mysterious with it when it comes to his past, but I am not sure if I will include the talk between him and others about it as an additional scene or if I will just let it happen and mention that it happened. Thanks for reading!
Church21: I will try to make his interaction with the harem more meaningful than the ones that Hiraku had in the original. Like adding scenes with Ru to build up their relationship and not go straight to bed as it seems Hiraku did. Elves have a reason why they want to have such a relationship as quickly as possible, but still, I will write additional scenes with them (at least with Ria and maybe a few more; there are too many elves to do every single one). Thanks for reading!
