Here it is, the 140th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released on time as always. Gigantomachia has fallen from the sky just as the battle with Shigaraki has kicked off but he's just panting there. The same can't be said for the Nomus and Shigaraki and with villains like that on the battlefield you can't be distracted and thus the battle resumes in earnest. However, in a battle of twists and turns, who knows what else lurks on the battlefield waiting to recover and begin their own schemes in time. That is all the administrative stuff that I have for you, however, and while there are no questions about this series to answer there is a guest review with a suggestion request to respond to that I will do now and here because it was on this story's reviews so this is the best place to respond and I will do so now. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from y'all.
To TimeWalker (guest), thank you for your review and support. Understanding power and what it can and can't do is key to mastering it as you noted though there are some things like Cataclysm v. Decay that can't be tested until the field. Good thing that worked out though and the heroes have something that can help if used at the right time but the weakness of Cataclysm in the energy it takes to use could be an issue in a prolonged fight. It's not just Momo who could use that advice, all should understand the concept of Quirk dominance both when there are two near identical Quirks facing off like Decay and Cataclysm or when there are two contrasting Quirks that can affect the same medium. The later I've actually addressed in my other MHA crossover 'Black RWBY Academia' (a three way crossover between MHA, RWBY, and Black Clover set in the MHA world like how this one is minus the displacement into the future stuff) where Honenuki's Softening Quirk faces off against a Quirk that can seal or unseal things so the battle was can that Quirk seal the effects of Softening back into place. It's not a concept that MHA really addresses and until now I've not had a chance to really test it so thank you for noting it so I can explain a little about it. Do keep reading and enjoying my work.
That is all I have for this pre chapter note so that means that it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 140th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.
Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.
Chapter 140: The Battle of Jaku
"I take it that that was Cavaliere." Adrien said from the ground as the heroes recovered from the sudden arrival of Gigantomachia, who was still just panting doing nothing and stuck in the ground, not that he couldn't get out if he recovered, while the mindless Nomu began to stir. "I can't think of any other power that could do something like that."
"Almost certainly." Marinette agreed as she got to her feet noting at least three of the Nomus, all humanoids with masculine chests indicating a base gender for their corpses turned their attention to Marinette and Adrien so she got her Lucky Charm katana up and in front of her. "I have no idea why she sent that thing here or what it even is other than that it's clearly some abomination like the Nomu."
"It's not natural even for this world but I don't think it's a Nomu." Adrien said he was still recovering and unable to get up though he could see what was going on from his position while in the distance the fighting had all but resumed with the exception of Endeavor and Shigaraki, the latter of whom was now back on the ground as they exchanged words about how the Nomus were suddenly on the battlefield. "It's not dark purple or light gray like the other Nomus are. It could be the prototype for them, some kinda person with an extreme mutant Quirk who's physiology was used as the backdrop if I had to guess. Regardless, it's definitely the S-Rank villain that got Fei to use her dragon form."
"A shame comms are out." Marinette said as she sized up the Nomus that were approaching her as they were the immediate threat and noting that one had 4 legs, one had some strange flytrap thing for a head and the last had 6 arms of which two were tentacles that wouldn't have looked out of place in those disturbing adult films that Mineta talked about at times and two other arms were morphing into some kind of organic swords with serrated edges. "We could have asked her why she did that and what the hell is going on at the villa."
"If Creati had to use Kaalki, which also means that pretty much the entire class has seen a Miraculous in action now, then that was the cause for sure as the boosts you get from using a Miraculous would be critical in dealing with that thing." Adrien said as the Nomus began to pick up their pace towards Marinette and him. "The details of why it was sent here by Cavaliere I can't say but I'm willing to bet that it was summoned from the villa by Shigaraki somehow and the only way to safely ensure that it got here was to, er, portal it as I don't think anyone short of All Might in his prime could physically fight that thing."
"We can figure out the finite details later." Marinette said as she braced herself. "But I'll bet there was at least one city at risk from that thing so Momo used Kaalki's power to prevent utter destruction, lives are more important that secrets right now. Anyway, we've got some bigger, uglier, things to deal with, well not as big and ugly as that monstrosity but you get my point. Can you get up yet kitty?"
"Unfortunately no." Adrien said with a note of pain in his voice. "I've pushed Cataclysm more than ever before so it's a near miracle that I'm still conscious right now. I need a few more minutes to be able to fight as my body processes all that I've eaten to recover energy. Even then, I'm going to be limited to my staff and maybe a small flare of Cataclysm into something but that's it, no control over it now beyond generating enough to infuse it into something and letting it destroy that thing and that thing only."
"That's fine, any help will be needed." Marinette said as the lead Nomu, the four legged one, let out an inhumane howl and held its arms up to reveal holes in the palms that suddenly sent out two thick, what looked like glass studded, whips at her. "I'll protect you until then, three of these bastards aren't enough to overcome me when I have an item with explicit goal of putting this things to rest."
At that Marinette pushed off the ground and at the vines, her strength easily able to ensure that she just skimmed over the surface as she closed in on the whips as they roiled towards her. Then, as they reached her, she spun in the air and slashed through them in several places causing them to tumble to the ground. Before the Nomu could finish she reached the ground, planted the ball of her right foot on it and pushed off again never breaking momentum before she reached the Nomu and bisected it just above the waist with a single slash as she passed it.
As with the wolf Nomu she'd taken care of before Gigantomachia's arrival, the heated blade of the katana cauterized the wound as she cut through the Nomu, incinerating the upper layer of cells and ensuring that any super regeneration that might be there, which all these Nomus had, couldn't occur. The Nomu bellowed as its legs collapsed no longer controlled by the brains it had that were spilling out like they all were and the upper body toppled back to crash to the ground behind Marinette as she landed from her opening attack.
She could hear its screams, though they sounded more like rage than pain likely meaning it had some pain nullification Quirk which would make sense for the Nomus, and so to put it out of its misery she slashed back with the blade to score a line though its brain. That seemed to end it as it stopped screaming while showing Marinette that she needed to hit the brains to destroy the Nomu's, which made sense.
As Marinette realized this the 6 armed Nomu sent it's tentacles had her having been the nearest when she landed. Marinette just turned and slashed at the tentacles cutting them off at angles, the acrid scent of burnt skin telling her that the cauterizing had worked.
That Nomu didn't scream, it didn't seem to have a mouth, though the remains of its tentacles wriggled up and waved in the air, as it brough the blade appendages to bear. Again Marinette just slashed taking them off before she stepped forward and spun her blade in her hands to take off its arms and the elbows, or further up the tentacles depending on the appendage.
The move ensured that the katana was down and to her side when she was done so as the limbs fell to the ground Marinette brought it up in a savage diagonal slash that cut the Nomu from hip to shoulder. However, the Nomu had taken a step back after she'd sliced off its appendages, likely to free up space for some other attack, so it wasn't enough to end it.
That was fine with Marinette as she leapt into the air as she reach the top of her slash, twisted the blade in her hands, and slashed it to the side cutting off the top of the Nomu's head just above where its eyes should be, again there weren't any though it did have brains spilling out, and putting it down for good. It was already falling back as Marinette turned as she fell back to the ground and looked around to see that the remaining Nomu, the fly trap head one, that was closing in on her.
As soon as she saw it, Marinette kicking out to use the Nomu she'd just put down to change her direction towards the last one and fly through the air at it. In response the Nomu lowered its head to her, fly trap thing that was coming out of its shoulders snapping and showing her its brain at the base where a head should be, and charge.
Marinette just slashed the fly tray to sever it from the Nomu though due to her position it was at an angle that missed the brain. Quickly, Marinette twisted the sword in her hands and slashed back again to cut it through its upper left arm, shoulder and chest, neck, head and then out the other side so that she could hit its brain on the backswing.
That did it and the Nomu crashed to the ground as Marinette continued towards it. To avoid it she pulled her feet in, planted them down on its back as it fell and flipped forward off it, driving it's motionless, the thing wasn't alive because as far as she could tell it was more of a mindless monster created by a madman from some unfortunate corpse, into the ground before she flipped to land on the ground. As she did she turned to see her work.
It was grizzly to see and she felt sick at what she had to do to what had once been people, and a wolf, as their pieces littered the ground behind her and before Adrien who had managed to get to his feet though he was clearly shaky on them and needed more time to recover. As she did, the scent of burning them with the item she held filled her nostrils and she saw the effects of the cauterization that had countered the Nomus super regeneration and glanced away from her handywork.
Marinette knew that she'd have to talk to someone about what she'd done after this because this would take time to deal with but she pressed on for now. Marinette knew that she'd done what she had to in order to end the threat the Nomus posed and she could at least tell herself that Nomus were nothing more than zombies, reanimated corpses of what had once been people subjected to inhuman experimentation by a deranged doctor so it wasn't like killing a person. Still, she'd used a sword to slice and dice what had once been humans and an animal and that played on the psyche.
She was by far not the only one who'd had to deal with these things in such a manner, several others were doing so as well because of the threat the Nomus posed, but still it was a lot and weighed on her. It really showed just how different her life was now compared to what it had been in Paris before the incident, what society had become because of the advent of Quirks and how she would have to keep this up through this battle and into the future because no matter how hard this was, she was a hero and with Adrien by her side she'd continue to be one no matter what. It was as she noted that that Adrien suddenly yelled.
"Duck bugaboo!"
Instinctively Marinette crouched down at Adrien's words as she looked towards him to she her boyfriend standing at his full height now baton out right before it suddenly extended into a massive staff, the end blasting over her head and into something that let out a pained caw. Instantly Marinette turned to the sound to see that she'd been about to be attacked by some human, pterodactyl hybrid Nomu but Adrien had seen it, or at leased sensed it with his enhanced smell, and shot his staff at it to slam it in the beak and back away from Marinette.
Adrien had also created an opening for her with that, it was brief given these things but that was all that Marinette needed to ensure it was put down for good. As such, without any hesitation, she leapt up and at the blasted back Nomu in the air.
The moment Marinette could, she made three quick slices with her blade, her enhanced strength speeding up her work so that for a moment nothing seemed amiss until she slammed her feet into the Nomu's chest and backflipped off it and towards Adrien. As she did the cuts became clear showing that she'd cut it diagonally down to take off hits right wing and leg at the hip, it didn't have arms, before cutting up to do the same in revers for its left side. She'd then finished it with a slash through its beak and head to destroy the brain controlling it thus ending the threat that it posed.
"Not bad m'lady." Adrien said as she landed noting that clearly all this was going to hit Marinette in time so he swore he'd be there for her when it did to help her through it. "You handled them quickly and cleanly."
"I only got the last one thanks to you, kitty." Marinette said as Adrien walked over to stand by her side. "That was close."
"We're a team, nothing can stop us when we're together." Adrien said as they looked over the 5 finally at rest Nomus that Marinette had taken out. "So, you have to hit the brains then? They really are some kind of zombie only without super powers or the ability to turn you into one of them by biting you."
"Pretty much." Marinette said not realizing that these were classified as near High-End Nomus so her item was one of the few things, along with Quirks Endeavor's fire and Burnin's hair, that could actually out these things down for good without Erasure being active as cauterized wounds couldn't be regenerated. "At least seems that way as that four legged one was still alive when I cut it in half at the waist. They may or may not be able to regenerate, I can't say seeing as I'm using a charm to prevent that, but hitting the brains will work from what I've seen."
"It sounded like that was how to do it over the radio as well and even then they needed something to prevent the regeneration to truly take them down." Adrien said as he made sure that his weapon was in staff form. "I can't do the damage you can though, not with this staff."
"That's fine, all you need to do is ensure that they are dazed or hold them off until I can deliver the finishing blow." Marinette said as she held out the katana, her skills with it were minimal at best but between her enhanced constitution, moderate fencing experience, general combat abilities, and the instinctive knowledge of how to use her item for its intended goal when she used her Quirk made up for that lack of skill. "I'll make sure that I hit the brains. That will down them. At this point we can't engage Shigaraki, leave that to the main heroes as we'd just get in the way, nor can we deal with that monstrosity that Momo dropped on the battled. Instead, we should…"
Before she could say anymore there was suddenly an explosion that got their attention and they turned to it just in time to see a roiling inferno happen over the battlefield somewhere near the middle of it before it suddenly blew over showing two intense but small pillars of fire. They lasted for a moment longer before it died down and there was a lull there though Nomu were still running rampant all over the battlefield.
"What did we miss?" Adrien asked. "Because that was definitely Endeavor at the end but something big is clearly going on over there."
What they'd missed leading up to the fiery explosion in the air was Shigaraki going back into the air to evade Endeavor when their fighting properly resumed following the arrival of Gigantomachia and then targeting Aizawa as he was the true threat to Shigaraki at the moment. That had been stopped by Midoriya, who was now apparently faster than Gran Torino not that the class knew that, who'd joined in the fight on Shigaraki and saved their teacher. It was critical because in this fight, the person they couldn't lose was Mr. Aizawa hence why he, and Bakugo a moment later, moved from their cover to save him.
That had allowed Endeavor to get into the fight again and land a blow on Shigaraki, saving Bakugo in the process. From there, Endeavor, Bakugo, Deku, and Gran Torino took the fight to Shigaraki while Aizawa kept his eyes open and was supported by Rock Lock and Manual with a few other heroes like Native sticking around to add protection. So long as Eraser Head looked at Shigaraki, the only advantage that he had was his upgraded constitution that put him on a level comparable to All Might it seemed and that meant that Mr. Aizawa was the most important person on the battlefield at the moment.
Regardless, between the four of them they'd managed to set it up, via Midoriya as bait, for Bakugo to use one of his gauntlets to blast Shigaraki from above. That had allowed Endeavor to get in and punch him with a burning fist that had resulted in the subsequent fiery explosion that had gotten Adrien and Marinette's attention.
"Whatever it is, as much as we'd like to help we'd only get in the way of that." Marinette said reaffirming that they couldn't help the main fight before looking at Adrien. "You're not really able to fight at peak for yet, are you my love?"
"No, I can handle these beasts enough for you to finish them but Shigaraki, that's a no go." Adrien admitted. "Cataclysm may be dominant when they clash because of the precise nature of its destruction compared to Decay but the drawback is that I can only control it for so long even with replenished energy. You could aid m'lady, that sword of yours could be useful, but I'd rather we stick together and thin out the Nomus to alleviate any pressure on the heroes and enable Endeavor and those with him to focus on Shigaraki."
"I agree, we'll do much better like this." Marinette said as she looked out and saw the other heroes who'd come to aid were also engaging with the near High-End Nomus as best they could. "Let's go aid the other heroes, that is where we'll be most useful. So long as something doesn't happen that would drastically change the momentum or shake the moral of the heroes to our cores we should be able to win this. We're heroes Cat Noir, let's help where we are needed."
"Agreed, Ladybug." Adrien said. "Let's go remind people why we transcend lifetimes, not that they know that of course."
Marinette nodded and the couple hurried off to join the fray. What neither knew was that unfortunately as Shigaraki was showing that he'd not been knocked out or killed by Endeavor's attack, which was bad as Endeavor needed a moment to cool down due to the drawbacks of overusing Hellflame, the villains on a still panting and unmoving Gigantomachia's back were coming to and one of them did posses what was needed to upend the hero society and truly shake it to its core given his lineage that he was about reveal all the dirty secrets of. Unbeknownst to everyone, Dabi's moment was almost at hand.
"What happened?" Mr. Compress asked as he burst from his own Quirk and sat up on Gigantomachia's back to look around before realizing that none of his comrades had been released yet so he was just asking empty air. "Oh right, you're all still safe. Here, help me understand the situation we're in because that was a sudden change the even my stage skills couldn't perform."
With a snap of his fingers on his right hand, the four other marbles around him burst open to release his fellow League of Villain members and Skeptic so that they joined him on Gigantomachia's back. They all looked confused as they sat up with some groans as all were still bruised from that damned horseshoe that had made no sense to them when it was thrown by that white haired hero woman, and looked around as the sounds of battle reached their ears.
"Where are we?" Spinner asked as he got up and leaned on one of the spokes that had shrunk back to normal to see the chaos that was all around them. "Er, this doesn't look good."
"Seems like we've been dropped into the middle of something, hopefully right where we need to be." Dabi said idly as he looked to Skeptic. "Hey, is your laptop good?"
"Yeah it's good, I had it specially made so it would take a lot more to destroy it." Skeptic said sitting up and putting his back to one of the spikes as he opened it and began tapping at keys a little rattled by what had happened. "I was worried about that horseshoe that crazy hero girl sent at us though, it wasn't affected by your flames, so I made sure to shield it."
"Some metals can manage that though I'll give it to the heroes, that was something else and I have no clue who she was." Dabi said though he frankly didn't care who she was as when he was done there'd be no need for heroes anymore. "But that doesn't matter, and don't bother trying to find her either, it's not relevant to why I saved you from the villa, you just need to focus on what I need you for."
"She's got some portal Quirk, that is something we should be aware off seeing as that's how we got here, wherever here is." Skeptic pointed out. "I also saw her on the back of some unknow dragon. I know most of the heroes in this country but neither of those are in my records."
"It won't matter once you're done and as for where we are, it's likely Jaku so likely they used that hero to send us here to prevent pointless destruction which is a shame as it would further aid my goals but oh well." Dabi said as he crouched down before Skeptic. "I don't doubt that with this things nose and love for Shigaraki it would have plowed through cities to get here so they prevented that, that would have been a good bonus to what I am about to reveal but it's not going to stop the impact. Now, I need you to do something for me."
"What do you want me to do?" Skeptic asked.
"Use those skills of yours to hack into the satellite feeds or whatever so that we can figure out precisely where we are and what is going on around us and then get ready for my signal." Dabi said as he pulled something out of a pocket. "This is a message that will go out when the time is right so make sure that it can do so without being blocked. Before then, though, I need you to do some creative editing surrounding Twice's murder. That will help us in our goal."
"What goal is that?" Skeptic asked.
"Why, to bring down the hero society that is a blight on this world." Dabi said with a grin. "It's almost time and I alone can do it; I just need you to make sure my message gets out."
Skeptic just nodded, it was a goal he too shared though his reasons were different to Dabi's, so he began to work while the battles raged on around them. They were protected on the back of Gigantomachia so they had the time to work and get a visual on things. Dabi just got ready as he grinned, well grinned as best he could with his burns, at what was to come while making sure that Skeptic was doing it.
While this was going on, Toga slipped away without any of them noticing her do so as she'd walked to the edge of Gigantomachia's back and looked out over where they'd ended up. She hadn't heard the others but deduced that they were in Jaku based on the destruction around her and that meant that Ochaco and Tsu were likely here as she'd not seen them with the other hero students.
That was just what she needed right now as she still had many questions in her twisted brain and Ochaco was the one she knew could answer them given their shared crush. As such, and without telling the others as they were chatting in their own groups, Toga leapt off Gigantomachia and made her way across the battlefield and into the ruins of Jaku and beyond searching for her targets knowing that if it came to it she had the rendezvous location and would head there whenever all this ended and the heat fully died down. First, though, she had her own personal mission to attend to.
Meanwhile, the only two people who were actually trying to get a handle on what was going on was Mr. Compress and Spinner. They were on another part of Gigantomachia's back, hence why they didn't notice Toga leaving, as they discussed first how they were alive and then tried to figure out what was going on where they were.
"So you used your Quirk on us the moment we were in the air?" Spinner asked. "I don't even remember that, that horseshoe hit me pretty hard and dazed me so the next thing I know we're here."
"It was reflex from years on the stage, that was also why I was able to avoid taking too much damage from that horseshoe though it did do a fair bit to my prosthetic arm." Mr. Compress said and Spinner noted that the arm was hanging limply by Compress's side so likely it was out of commission for the moment. "I have no issues with heights but this fall was more than enough to kill us when this monster landed but he would still survive, I honestly don't know what could actually kill him, I made sure we were safe. Then, when I felt that it was safe to release myself I did. Seems like this situation is a little worse than the one we just left."
"You can say that again." Spinner said as they looked out and saw the chaos and destruction before them noting that there was a clear center to the battle were there were flames being produced and just baren earth with broken buildings on the outskirts of it and undamaged building further away in what they were certain was Jaku given the fact that only one person could cause what they were seeing. "Looks like Shigaraki has woken up for sure, that does explain everything and those flames have to be Endeavor. If anyone can fight the boss then it's Endeavor."
"This isn't good at all." Mr. Compress said. "We've been badly damaged by the attack on our base and the loss of the Meta Liberation Army but with Shigaraki up and fighting we may have a…"
"That was a lot of fire." Spinner said as he and Compress stared at the sudden blast of fire but suddenly a figure leapt out of it and at the source of the fire showing that whoever had been hit had survived it. "That's got to be Shigaraki leaping out of it, it can't be anyone else, and at Endeavor so he's still…"
"Damn, something sped in and slammed him." Mr. Compress said. "It's hard to really make out what is going on from up here. Why can't this lug move?"
"Likely that fall took it out of him, seems that there is something even he needs time to recover from, annoying after all that fighting against him we did several months ago." Spinner said as he looked around the monster's back not realizing that the main issue was actually all the tranquilizers that were currently working their way through Gigantomachia's system and waring with it to see which would win though he wouldn't have thought of that even if he knew as he suddenly noticed something was missing, or more precisely someone. "Er, where's Toga?"
"Is she not here?" Mr. Compress asked as he turned away from the fighting that he could barely make out and looked over Gigantomachia's back and noted the same as Spinner. "You're right, she's not. She was with us when we landed, I made sure to touch her so that she'd be saved with the rest of us when we fell."
"Huh, the crazy girl's not here?" Dabi said looking up and around as Skeptic continued to work. "Oh, well she's fine on her own. She can do her own thing so long as she doesn't get caught."
"I just don't want anything bad to happen to her." Spinner said worry in his voice. "She's one of us, part of the League, and we've lost so many already. I don't know why she's slipped away from us, we're safer together."
"Likely she had some reason to." Mr. Compress said as there was a sound behind him and he turned to see the giant dragon lady, the one he could recognize as the western style dragon Ryukyu was well known, was now in the center of the battle her large, transformed form easy to make out though not what she was doing to aid Endeavor against Shigaraki. "Well, looks like more is going on there. The main heroes are busy it seems but there are a lot more around fighting what look like Nomus from that lab. That's good at least, they'll aid Shigaraki."
"That's still not reassuring." Spinner said. "If Toga slipped away into this then…"
"She'll be fine, we know how good she is at surviving what with her combat skills and how useful her Quirk is." Mr. Compress said turning back to Spinner. "She won't let the heroes get her. If any of us can manage it she can. Trust her."
"I do, I just hope that she finds or deals with what made her leave Gigantomachia's back." Spinner said. "And that she meets up with us when this is over."
As they'd been speaking they'd turned away from the battle. There was no need to keep watching it at the moment as they were too far away to see the fine details of the battle. If they had been nearer then they'd have seen Shigaraki push his arm through Ryukyu's dragon hand send the remaining Quirk destroying drug dart that he had at Eraser Head while fending off Midoriya who was trying to stop him. That round would land in Eraser Head's right leg that the pro would instantly amputate to preserve his Quirk in one of the more intense moments of the battle.
"She will." Mr. Compress said as they headed back into the spikes on Gigantomachia's back. "She won't let the heroes get her."
"Well whatever little miss crazy is up to; we've got bigger things to sort out." Dabi said to the other two men getting their attention so they headed over to where he and Skeptic were and crouched down by the MLA man. "The nerd here has set up the satellite feeds and confirmed that we are in Jaku and that Endeavor, Ryukyu, Eraser Head, some students, and a few other heroes are currently fighting Shigaraki. With this we can see what is going on in the battle. We'll need it to time this just right."
"Time what?" Spinner asked.
"My grand tearing down of hero society of course." Dabi said his grin broadening before he glanced at Skeptic. "How much longer until I'm good to go?"
"A few more minutes at least, possibly a quarter of an hour or so." Skeptic said as he typed. "I've got the feeds for you to look at and am working on the edits now. Once they're done all I have to do is hack into enough feeds for the broadcast to go live. You want this to reach as many people as possible, right?"
"Of course." Dabi said. "The more who hear it the greater it will be and it will ensure that the HPSC, or what's left of it after today seeing as that double of Re-Destro had to have done some damage to their leadership which will only make this fallout better, can't censor this message."
"Alright then I just need a little more time to make sure that then." Skeptic said never once looking up from the screen. "I'll let you know when I'm ready."
"Good because once I start there will be nothing that can stop it." Dabi said. "This will be something no one will want to miss."
"Ah a grand entrance, I like it." Mr. Compress said as they all moved to watch the screen which was spilt between Skeptic's work and the satellite feeds of the battle raging on around them. "Then allow me to assist in the timing, this is my area of expertise."
"Very well." Dabi said not particularly caring as he didn't really need Compress and Spinner but if they furthered his own goals then they could do that. "Once it's all in place tell me when. We're going to want the heroes to fight a bit more though, the more beat down they are the better this will be in destroying their moral as well as allowing me to do what I need to do at the very end."
"Then let us watch." Mr. Compress said his own bloodline coming up as he thought of what his ancestor had done and was more than willing to aid his comrade in this endeavor of his though even they were unaware of how accurate the word endeavor was in what Dabi had planned. "And at the right moment, we make our entrance…"
"And tear down this corrupt, hero, world with a message that will rock them to their core." Dabi said still grinning as they settled in to watch as the battle of Jaku shifted to its next phase following Eraser Head's injury.
I feel like this is a good place to leave this chapter off, a good tease for what is to come. We all know that but there is still a lot of battle and things going on it to happen and so that will be seen in the next chapter as the Battle of Jaku continues to rage on and draw closer to the moment Dabi needs to shock the hero system to its core. I had initially planned on going all the way to that point in this chapter but there was too much to deal with and this kind of style works best with shorter chapters dealing with each precises stage I feel. That and I do need to slightly drag this arc out as I am coming up to a forced hiatus in this story when I reach the end of Season 6. I am fully caught up with the manga and read it every time it comes out, but it's easier to adapt this via the anime so when I reach that point I'll take a break but more on that when the time comes. Anyway, that is it for this chapter, so I'll leave it off here. As always, if you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Do keep the reviews coming as I like hearing from y'all as you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep producing the best work I can for y'all to enjoy. Until next time.
