Walking through the WCW arena, on Saturday Night, Jimmy Summer was making sure that he would go and give everything. Only on the same night, seeing how two of the most surprising wrestlers would go all in, Jimmy was going to be sure that he would do everything in his body to show his idea of how "superstar material" he was. Using a certain paint with the USA flag in his chest, without a shirt, red pants, blue glasses, it was clear how he was putting his personality into a different side of his attitudes now. No matter what, he would go with everything in his mind.

" It's been said that some things have surprises ahead for the future superstars. That's when the road reveals itself as a certain part of something more, more unpredictable than the expected. It is the dream of a wrestler to become a legend. To be part of something more. One day after another. I relive the memories of the greatest matches I've seen during these last few years before trying to carve my path in wrestling." Just walking around the ramp, Jimmy was sure that he was ready to go with everything in his mind. His debut at WCW, now, for a rising wrestling promotion, he was just being sure on what would happen. - "And every single day, I see how this kind of idea is being more taken by the ideals of the people who walk around WWF and other organizations, like NWA. The patriot against the anti-american. The strong one against the unpredictable one. In part, Hulk Hogan helped to set this kind of idea. But the things like "dirty tricks" and every single idea you can imagine, it's only one part of what makes this life, one of the greatest things that can involve our journeys. Only the dream of one person to be more." A smile appeared on his face, being sure that everything would go, all according to plan, in his mind. - "And I'll show them now what it truly means to be a superstar."

With this, he walked around the place, on which Jimmy just looked at the place, and the arena, taken by a audience that started to cheer him, while a song, more precisely, one taken by a Elvis Presley setlist, began to take over the arena, at the same time, taken by the full groove of Elvis in full style, while at the same time, the ring announcer held the microphone, on which he looked around, closing his right hand with a fist, and began to hit his chest, showcasing a certain confidence around the arena as part of his personality in the place. He stood in silence, psyching himself, while looking to the ramp, trying to see who could be his first opponent in WCW. Only a single debut, the people would say, but it would be different.

"The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, on his WCW debut, from Los Angeles, California, weighing in at 257 pounds, James "The Patriot" Summer!"

While walking into the aisle, he just looked at the people, cheering on him, noticing how, in their minds, he was one of the wrestlers defending what could be described as defending true patriotism in the ring. Of course, he wasn't mimicking Hulk Hogan, on the contrary. Jimmy, now calling himself James during his debut, was just showing his gimmick and personality that would take over WCW, to prove that he had superstar material in his body. He just needed to show how he would do everything to get what he believed could be his real destiny.

Oh, I wish I was in the land of cotton

Old things they are not forgotten

Look away, look away, look away Dixieland

Oh, I wish I was in Dixie, away, away

In Dixieland I take my stand to live and die in Dixie

'Cause Dixieland, that's where I was born

Early Lord one frosty morning

Look away, look away, look away Dixieland

Glory, glory hallelujah

Glory, glory hallelujah

Glory, glory hallelujah

His truth is marching on

Walking through the ring, Jimmy lifted his right fist once more and screamed, for only two seconds, showing an extroverted and determined personality as part of the show, at least, in his mind. He was making sure to get into the character and making sure that everything would go in a certain path, deciding to go all in for the victory. Even though it should be described as a certain surprise, his debut would be unexpected. The music stopped for a moment, on which Jimmy tried to make sure of what could happen.

"Well, ladies and gentleman, this is Jim Ross, alongside my pal table Michael Hayes, showing to everyone the man who's taking everyone's thoughts in a certain curiosity. James "The Patriot" Summer. Facing the hardships and adversities at WCW Power Plant, this man is sure that he can face every obstacle and prove to everyone in this arena, why he can be "superstar material".

"Jim, one thing is certain: We've seen several rising stars during the NWA times in the meantime: Many wrestlers that made sure to go with everything in his thoughts, even though there could be certain issues and doubts clouding their minds. But it's clear how these situations can be far more surprising than expected." The commentary table stood looking into the arena and the aisle, trying to be sure on who would walk to face "The Patriot", putting into these words."

Suddenly, a surfer song began to take over the arena, on which a man, face painted with a mask around his eyes, blonde hair, began to walk around the arena, being the cheers and screams that managed to involve the arena, on which Summer smiled on the scene, seeing how things would go now, in his mind, to see who he was facing now.

"And his opponent! From Charlotte, North Carolina, weighing 250 pounds, The Man Called Sting!"

"Unbelievable, Jim! In "The Patriot" debut match, it's two of what can be described as the most cheerful and hopeful superstars going face to face with everything. On Saturday Night, we can say how the surprises can be far more dashing than the usual and we're only beginning to see what will happen in the meantime."

"One thing's for certain! Knowing Sting, we can be sure that he will give everything that he has in his body and mind to go ahead with a clean win in this fight. Trust us on that."

Sting continued to walk, seeing the fans around and gave a cheer, almost in a scream, lifting his right hand, creating a punch, seeing in a hopeful way on how things could go. Entering the ring, both of them looked to one another, their eyes interlocked on what could happen in this bout. The sound of silence. In a few seconds, the bell rang, being sure on what could happen in this situation. No matter what, Jimmy Summer was sure on his debut being his "greatest moment" in WCW. After the bell rang, forgoing the introductions on the match, Sting and Summer began to punch each other in only a few seconds, going all in that left everyone in disbelief.

"I can't believe that! They're going for the kill!"

"It's a rare occasion, Jim. But this is an understatement that we'll be into one great ride in this match!"

Leaving the grapple on the backburner, Summer and Sting continued to punch one another and with this, the match was seeming to be going with everything the fans expected now. Receiving a knee strike from Sting, he grabbed Jimmy's head, hitting his right knee on his face, pushing the opponent behind, making him go into the ropes, however, in a swift movement, Jimmy kicked Sting on his chest, managing to push him into the ropes and hit a clothesline in only a few seconds, knocking his rival on the ground proving how things were going during the bout. The scene was becoming a situation that began to be applauded around the arena.

"Okay, this is one thing that's surprising everyone around. Ladies and gentlemen, live from WCW Saturday Night, James "The Patriot", on his debut, facing Sting, in a match that's different from everything else. These two on first sight, are trying to do all they have now to make sure that the victory will fall into one of their hands." JR began to see the pounding and strikes becoming more furious and with this, Sting got up once again, and with this, grabbing one of his arms, he pushed Jimmy into the turnbuckle, hitting his back on the turnbuckle and fell on the ground, almost knocked out. - "Oh, I think he'll be seeing stars after this last scene."

Sting then, went for the pinfall, however, before the count could even begin, Summer kicked out, and with this, he grabbed the ropes, hitting a strike on his chest, pushing the opponent behind and with this, hit a superkick on Sting's face, knocking him on the floor and went for the pinfall again, but in a sudden movement, he kicked out of the pinfall, making everyone stand in disbelief. He thought to himself: It was something more unusual. On WCW, he was seeing certain high-risk moves, and with this, seeing the differences from another wrestling promotions, becoming euphoric and with this, began to rose from the floor and hit one of his hands into the chest, giving a scream that was seeming to showcase his "true self" on the ring: Dedicated and willing to do everything for the win.

Getting up after the strike he received, Sting smiled, almost in a confident way, seeing how Summer was seeming to do everything to get a win on his debut match. With this, he landed several punches on his making him fell on the ground and with this, "The Patriot" stood up again, making sure that this match was indeed, one that seemed to show the strength of two powerhouses, no, better than that: Of two stars willing to use different wrestling styles to go all in for the victory. The two landed several punches and kicks once more, and with this, Sting went for the grapple, beginning a chain reaction that created a standstill, trying to be sure on how things would go now. With a certain opportunity, Jimmy managed to win the grapple and with this, started to apply a sleeper hold, trying to make Sting submit with his movement now.

"Oh, my god! He's going for the sleeper hold! Full submission now. Non-stop!" JR said, in disbelief, while Summer was trying to make sure that he would win, however, he felt one of Sting's elbows hitting him on the face, forcing his opponent to break the hold, making "The Patriot" become more dizzy than he expected. Grabbing Jimmy from behind, he lifted his opponent, knocking him on the ground. - "Body splash! In a twist of fate, Sting managed to put his rival on the defensive and made him pass out. Will this be the end?"

Going for the pinfall again, before the count could begin once more, Summer kicked out and with this, put his hands on the floor, jumping and rising to his feet once more, making Sting look at the scene in disbelief. Hitting some chop blocks in his chest, Summer grabbed one of his arms, managing to push Sting into the ropes on his side and with this, tried to hit another superkick, but suddenly, he dodged Summer's attack, throwing his body on the floor, and with this, hit a punch into his belly, making "The Patriot" become more dizzy because of the strike and with this, Sting hit another body slam on Jimmy, throwing him into the mat and knocking his rival. The perfect attempt for another pinfall.

"1! 2!-"

Before the three count, Jimmy kicked out once more and with this, getting into his knees, he hit several punches into Sting's body, on which he landed another kick, pushing Jimmy into the ropes once again. Grabbing them, he managed to get up once more. Then, he looked back to Sting, being sure on how everything was going into a situation that no one in the arena could expect. Indeed, Jimmy Summer seemed to be living the dream in his debut. Trying to be sure that his debut would end in great style, in a standstill, that indeed, seemed to be captivating the public in the match. In a certain silence, Summer stood looking into his rival, leaving their minds being taken by a certain "truce" around the ring.

Jimmy felt his heart racing, for a while. His body, taken by a euphoria, unlike any other. Hitting another kick in his body, it was clear on how he was trying to do something different in the match. Sting, in a swift second, landed a punch on Jimmy's face, throwing him into a turnbuckle. Seeing how "The Patriot" was in a dire situation on the position he was now, Sting began to grab Jimmy, putting him on the top of the turnbuckle, however, before he could make his move, "The Patriot" hit a slap on his face, and with this, managed to hit a kick from his right leg on the body, pushing him behind.

"What the? This is something very unbelievable here, folks! Just when things seemed to be turning into Sting's advantage-"

Before JR could end his phrase, suddenly, Summer jumped from the top of the turnbuckle, hitting a diving splash on Sting, while he was still standing, knocking both of them, on which Jimmy Summer used a "high-flying" maneuver, that showed how he was putting into motion his different fighting style, more agile, unlike WWF wrestlers that used brute force for the win, but in doing different movements, audacious, like a future superstar would. The two wrestlers were still passed out after the strike, leaving everyone nervous. Indeed, there was nothing wrong that couldn't be worse, at least, the old proverb would say in certain situations, and in wrestling, it wasn't any different.

"Well, Jim, we're seeing a certain feeling, that could be described as fear. The match started different and now, we're seeing another standstill with the opponents in the ring knocked out cold after the strike Sting received. Is this the end?"

Lifting one of his hands, Summer continued to move through the ring and with this, put his right hand through Sting's chest, initiating a pinfall to grab the win with everything. The referee looked at the scene and lifted one of his hands, ready to do the count. To them, the match became different. And indeed, it became a kind of passion, very unlikely in these situations. Could it be the end, and prove why he was superstar material, like Jimmy was thinking himself to be now.

"1! 2!-"

And once more, before the three count, Sting kicked out, putting everyone on the stadium in disbelief once more, alongside with the members on the commentary table. Reaching to the ropes, Sting got up once more, before his opponent and with this, he ran into the sides, running and diving into Jimmy's chest, leaving everyone in shock at the scene. Reaching for another pinfall, Sting decided to immobilize his arms, going for a different pin, however, before the count, Jimmy kicked out, and in disbelief, Sting went into his opponent's legs, grabbing them and applying his finisher move, going into a submission that left everyone surprised on seeing how much willpower they were mustering now.

"The Scorpion Death-Lock! Sting is going to end this, once and for all! No way that "The Patriot" will escape from this now!" The end? Maybe. But indeed, Sting made a name for himself in his persona, while using one of his most known movements/finishers for the match, on which his rising through NWA catapulted him into a meteoric stardom, now putting everything he had in motion at WCW.

Jimmy Summer, then, saw how the submission was being applied, and seeing how Sting was using his personal finisher, knowing in NWA and WCW for a long time, the Scorpion Death-Lock was a "sentence" that seemed to show that the fight would be done for most wrestlers. Moving his arms through a rope, Sting was pushing him behind, trying to make "The Patriot" submit with his finisher. However, he lifted one of his hands, leaving Sting with a smile, almost seeing the win coming to him, but then, Jimmy continued to move once more, while in the submission lock, trying to get off and win the match. With this, he screamed, feeling every single part of his body being taken by a pain, unlike any other he could feel now.

"Even in the jaws of defeat, James Summer continues to resist and keep himself in the match, until he can. He's trying to escape the Death Lock and keep his body and mind intact. Years after his debut, Sting made waves in NWA and his greatest matches involved the "Nature Boy", Ric Flair, but this? This is different." JR looked at the scene, in a grueling way, Summer was trying to be sure that he would continue in the match.

Pushing his arms up front, Jimmy continued to walk, even with the submission still locked in, forcing his body to keep moving, he lifted his right hand, his mind saying to him: Give up. But in his willpower, he mustered the strength to grab the ropes, forcing Sting to break the hold, leaving everyone in the arena, including the commentary table, in disbelief at the twist of events. Feeling part of his body weak because of the strikes that he received, "The Patriot" looked to his opponent, noticing how things were going now. Grabbing Sting's head, he managed to hit a punch from his right hand, pushing his rival behind, and then, grabbed Sting, lifting him and hitting him mid-air with the Twist of Destiny on the chin, knocking his opponent out cold with his special finisher.

"Unbelievable! Did you see what we've just seen?" Feeling his head spinning, Jimmy went for the pinfall, grabbing one of Sting's legs to be sure that the win could be all in for his mind. No matter what, he was going with everything now.

"1! 2! 3!" The bell then rang, on which Jimmy began to get up once again, lifting his hands, hearing the cheers from the crowd.

"The winner of this match, James "The Patriot" Summer!"

"JR! Are you seeing this? No way!" Hayes then talked in disbelief, after seeing this scene. Like if a young man, in his debut match, could manage to win all odds. Then, he grabbed a microphone from one of the members of the table. - "Wait! What 's he doing?"

"I think he wants to get something off his chest."

"Hooray!" Almost screaming, leaving his body being taken by another euphoria, Jimmy looked around. - "Gotta say it's kinda different, just being here, in WCW. Truth be told here, I'm the kind of person who's more taken by the unexpected. But here, it is different. I can assure you for once that I'm going to be taking this organization by storm now. In the name of the glory of the U.S.A.!" The cheers began to erupt once more, on which he immersed his mind into his patriot persona. - "I will say it's only the beginning. I've said to myself: How a better way to prove to everyone that you're part of this? I've been a patriot since I was a child. Watching the sayers, and prayers, and the naysayers, etc, etc. But can I tell you the true secret? To be a patriot? It's to defend everything, no matter what, to go with everything. I respect people who come from other countries, I won't deny it. Nikolai Volkoff, for example, I kinda like him. Alongside with everyone I've seen a while ago. But I'll say something. This journey is only beginning. I'll be taking WCW, piece by piece, moment by moment. Want to see how a superstar like me will act? Wait and see. Wait and see." Mixed reaction, he was hearing. Cheers and boos at the same time. Not a tweener, Jimmy was defining himself as a "true patriot", that showcased how he was going to risk everything. - "I'm not like other guys. And I'll show you what I mean for the future." Giving the mic back to one of the announcers, he lifted his right hand, a devious smile on his face.

"What's that mean?"

"I don't know, Michael. Guess we'll just have to wait and see, like he said now."

Leaving his mark on his debut, Sting then got up, and then, shook Jimmy's right hand, and now, "The Patriot" seemed to be showing how his rise through the ranks of WCW would be different in this situation. But what did that really mean? Jimmy Summer. Future superstar and in this actual moment, rising star. It was only the beginning, indeed. But what would WCW reserve for a man like him?

To be continued…

Author's Note: That's it for today, folks. Just to make it clear: This chapter occurs at the same time as the previous one, during the fight between Curtis Hale and Ted DiBiase, part of an attempt to show the programs and events during this story in real time, dear readers. To be sure of the realism we'll be showing during the story. And also, I'm using songs from known music superstars, because, I'm gonna tell the truth, I'm not good at creating original music, so this is kind of an attempt to improvise to keep the story going in full motion. But next chapters, WWF and WCW. Indeed, we'll have a little timeskip just to show our two protagonists adjusting themselves to their lives and everything around.

But I can assure you one thing: This little timeskip will have certain twists and turns, and we'll begin the backstage intrigues and other aspects of this story very soon, so keep your eyes focused with everything, because we'll be back in time, dear readers!

See you all next time!
