A/N: sithlorde1988 here, with a new chapter of A Mine Is A Terrible Thing to Waste Redux (rewrite)! I know it's not been updated in awhile, but again it's been busy as heck of late! I've been juggling several other stories for updates, four of them to be exact, one of which I'm STILL typing away at a chapter of in bits and pieces! But it is what it is! That said, disclaimer time!
Disclaimer: sithlorde1988 does NOT own Total Drama in any way shape or form (both seasons and characters). The credit for said ownership belongs to Cake Entertainment and the networks that aired it (last I checked those were both Teletoon and Cartoon Network) so kudos to them!
Having gotten that out of the way, be sure to read the end-of-chapter A/N! That said, on with chapter 5!
Chapter 5- Revenge Of The Fallen
(recap narrated by Chris)
"Last time on Total Drama Revenge of The Island, our revamped final 6 faced their next challenge, which was go-kart racing, to the surprise of some of the final six! *clips play of Jo being excited about go-kart racing, Dawn and Cameron musing on the challenge in seperate confessionals and Scott re-thinking his approach to the game* HOWEVER, what no one was expecting was that one of the final six would have a surprising aptitude for go-kart driving or that most everyone would literally crash out of the challenge. *clips of Mal, Cameron, Scott and B crashing their karts and of the surprise cameo Tyler also crashing his kart while demonstrating the challenge play, followed by clips of Jo and Dawn racing for the finish line, before finishing with a clip of Dawn crossing the finish line just ahead of Jo and hopping out of her kart just in time to not get caught in the collision of her kart and Jo's as they crossed the finish line which led to Jo being ejected out of her kart at the last moment, causing Dawn to get immunity by default basically and then being allowed to pick someone to share immunity with, to which she chooses Cameron*
So as a result, both Dawn AND Cameron got spots in the final 5 guaranteed. However the bonfire that followed would be a doozy as it would end in a tie not once but TWICE! So in the end because the vote deadlocked between Scott and Mal, it came down to B or Jo getting eliminated, and after a tense rock-drawing, Jo was sent packing to her regret AND embarrassment due to a slight miscalculation on my part with the Marshmallow of Toxic Loserdom. Who knew it could eat through clothes? *clips play of the vote ending first in a 3-3 tie between Mal and Scott then in a 2-2 tie forcing a deadlock between them and prompting the rock draw that ended in Jo's elimination, followed by her going wide-eyed in embarrassment as she had a forced wardrobe malfunction thanks to the Marshmallow of Toxic Loserdom before being ejected from the game mid-rant, her arm being moved off her chest in the process, leaving everyone except Dawn wide-eyed in surprise* Now that we're finally down to our final 5, what will they go through next?! Who will stamp their spots in the final four? And who will come up short of the semi-final challenge? To find out, keep watching this episode of! TOTAL! DRAMA! REVENGE...OF THE ISLAND!
(End recap and intro plays)
(Undisclosed location, with the eliminated contestants and past cameos with one exception)
"Wow Tyler, I can't believe you survived that! I thought Chip was taking more care with the players' safety?" One of the cameos asked Tyler as they sat around the area they'd been gathered in with the eight eliminated players of the current season. A certain brunette rolled her eyes at the cameo's ditziness from nearby.
"Lindsay, as funny as that is, his name is Chris! I'd have thought you'd be better at names by now?" The brunette who'd rolled her eyes chastised the now-named Lindsay, crossing her tanned arms over her generous chest (though it was distinctly not as generous as Lindsay's) with a frown. Tyler looked at the brunette.
"Courtney, be nice. At least she's trying to get better. And at least neither of the people you hate got to cameo this season. Not sure why Chris changed his mind on that but he did. So it is what it is. I wonder though why he told us to come here with the eliminated players?" Tyler replied in confusion. Lindsay shrugged while Courtney frowned.
"Surprisingly, that's a good question Tyler. My guess is he probably has some sort of plan to let the eliminated players along with those of us who cameoed so far somehow influence the final 5 and possibly who makes the final 4." Courtney said contemplatively. The other cameos (minus Ezekiel, who surprisingly didn't show up with the other cameos, though Courtney knew why he wasn't present, smirking as she realized he'd taken both her and Dawn's advice about getting help to get back to normal) blinked at this and looked surprised. Bridgette in particular frowned as a thought suddenly occurred to her in that moment.
"Wait...didn't he pull something like that in season 1?" Bridgette asked with wide-eyes. Her only response was a dry chuckle and a frustrated huff.
"Indeed he did, Bridgette. How observant of you to remember that. I'm surprised honestly given you spent half that episode making out with Geoff and another part trying not to cringe at Homeschool almost chasing you two out of the hot tub.' A very familiar voice drawled in a cynical tone.
"Be fair, Noah. They'd only just gotten together at that point since it was right after Geoff was voted out. But I do hope it's not the same stunt now as it was then. Because honestly I'm still a bit ticked at Chris for when he did it before, given it was at MY expense." A second voice answered the now named Noah, who chuckled.
"Ah, touche. How could I forget that you'd remember that better than the rest of us, LeShawna?" Noah replied to the now named LeShawna who rolled her eyes.
"Of course I remember it well. And can you can it with the disrespectful comments? Or did you not learn your lesson the first time we booted you off the show, Noah?" LeShawna replied with an eye roll.
"Apparently he decided to let you two cameo today? I agree with this if so." Izzy said with a smirk. Noah deadpanned.
"Oh that's right, you cameoed too this season, Izzy. I forgot about that." Noah said in a deadpan tone, surprisingly eliciting giggles from both Courtney and Lindsay.
"I still can't believe he wouldn't let any of us return this season. That sucks so hard." Owen said in a disappointed sort of tone making Noah smirk.
"Ah yes, nearly forgot you were here too, big guy. Oh well, there's always next time. Still it seems like this season's eliminated players aren't the most social bunch." Noah remarked.
"Maybe because half of us got literally hurled off the island when we were eliminated. And some of us were disqualified unfairly on top of that. Ever think of that?" Dakota said rolling her eyes as she fought to keep her anger in check, lest Dakotazoid spring back out. Sam chuckled at this.
"You tell 'em, Dakota! Give that crazy nerd what for!" Sam said with a happy grin of sorts as he smiled encouragingly at Dakota who looked over at Sam and returned the smile.
"Ooh, ooh ooh, did you know my great-great-great grandfather invented the smile? Before them, everyone just frowned all the time. Yeah yeah, it was not fun, let me tell you." Staci said, being her usual lying chatterbox self, even as most everyone ignored her to some degree.
"Remind me why they let her on the show again?" Noah said in his usual snarky tone.
"Because they wanted a diverse cast I think. But I could be wrong." Brick spoke up in that moment, making both Noah and surprisingly so Bridgette jump a tad as they hadn't seen or heard him sit down with the group. Brick frowned as he helped Bridgette and Noah up.
"Oh, I didn't realize I startled the two of you. My apologies." Brick said. Noah and Bridgette waved off the apology.
"No worries, Brick. Maybe just warn us you're there next time? Might save some of us a few heart attacks." Bridgette said off-handedly. Noah nodded his agreement.
"Still, you were one of the more enjoyable characters this season in my opinion." Noah said, giving a rare compliment to Brick who saluted.
"Thank you for the kind words. I had hoped to get further but I knew that I couldn't just sit there and let Scott cheat Dawn out of the game." Brick said honestly getting a nod from Noah.
"Yeah, that was a pretty kind thing you did for her, Brick. And she's managed to make the most out of it in my opinion. Still, I'm a bit disappointed Scott's still in, but I guess you can't have everything. At least Mike's still in too." Zoey said as she walked up to the group, not hearing the huff from behind her.
"Mike?! Sha-please. That guy left the building a few episodes ago, if you ask Lightning. Now all that's in his spot is that sha-cheater Mal! He robbed the Lightning! ROBBED ME I SAY!" Lightning said huffily, crossing his arms, coughing a few seconds later when a cloud of spray hit him in the face.
"Oh heck no, you did NOT just diss Vito, I mean Mike, in front of me, you muscle-bound meathead! Take that back!" Ann Maria said huffily from behind Lightning as she blasted him in the face with her hairspray, making Zoey frown.
"I agree with your sentiment Ann Maria, but is it worth killing him by cutting his air supply off potentially?" Zoey asked with a frown. Ann Maria shrugged.
"If anyone deserves to suffer, it's that d-bag of a host Chris McLean! He's a freaking pervert!" Jo said angrily as she joined the others making Zoey and Lightning both blink a bit.
"Jo?! You got booted?" Zoey asked in shock. She then blinked as she realized something.
"Wait, so if you're here, then that means that Dawn's actually the last female left in the game. Wow, who saw THAT coming?" Zoey said in surprise.
"Right? She's technically also the last Rat standing if you don't count Scott or B as one swapped teams and the other returned to get this far." Sam pointed out as Dakota nodded her agreement.
"Sam's right. The Maggots are seriously dominating the game so far. Um, no offense to any eliminated Rats in here." Dakota said, blinking sheepishly as she recalled she herself had been a Rat during her short-lived run in the game. She then blinked as she realized that the only actual ex-Maggots that were here were Zoey, Jo and Ann Maria.
"Wait, why is Chris a pervert?" Ann Maria asked, her eyes narrowed as she registered the last bit of Jo's comment, making Zoey and Dakota gasp as they looked towards Jo.
"Because the dirty great creeper threw that freaky green marshmallow at my sweater instead of my hands and caused my sweater to be eaten away entirely by the marshmallow on impact, leaving me topless on TV because of him. And to make matters worse, the hurl knocked my arm away so I couldn't even cover myself too well as I was hurled off the island, so who knows who saw my chest when I was hurled?" Jo said pouting, having gotten a grey tank top to put on when she showed up at the same place as the other cameos and eliminated players. Surprisingly both Courtney and Bridgette gasped at this.
"He didn't! That dirty rotten pervert!" Courtney screeched angrily as she heard Jo's statement, smiling at her.
"If you decide you want to sue the pants off him, let me know and I can definitely help you out with that. He'd have it coming if you did sue him." Courtney said smiling. Jo nodded, both impressed and pleased by Courtney's offer.
"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind." Jo replied making Courtney nod in satisfaction. At about that moment, another person entered the room making everyone present groan, as it was none other than Chris McLean himself. Noah rolled his eyes at the host's entrance.
"Oh, look. Speak of the devil and he shall appear." Noah joked cynically, making both Courtney and surprisingly Zoey chuckle at his wit. Chris rolled his eyes.
"Very funny, Noah. That being said, welcome eliminated campers and classic competitors who've cameoed so far this season." Chris greeted the group making Lindsay frown.
"Wait, I don't think all of the cameos are here. After all, didn't Zed cameo like at least five times this season? And he's not here." Lindsay spoke up making Noah, Courtney AND Jo all groan at how dense she can be.
"First of all Lindsay, his name is Ezekiel, not Zed. Second of all, he was supposed to be here but chose to skip out on it to get treated for his feral condition. So I'm guessing we'll have another cameo here to stand in for him." Courtney corrected Lindsay gently, ignoring the surprised gasp from Chris at this information.
"You'd be guessing correctly, Courtney. Though I'm pretty sure he's stopped asking us if we want to cameo by this point, or he just doesn't care if we want to or not." Another voice spoke up, making everyone turn to face the speaker, where they saw a familiar dark-haired male with a guitar and a olive-colored shirt with a handprint on it.
"Ah yes, of course he'd pick you to cameo, Trent. I suppose it makes sense even if I half-expected either DJ or Harold to be the cameo." Courtney said with a soft smile. Chris cleared his throat.
"Anyways! The reason you all are here is both to discuss our current final five, AND so you can help influence who makes the final four. So let's start by discussing the final five, starting with a certain bubble boy who hasn't been that noteworthy this season so far in my opinion." Chris said, ignoring half the group looking irritated by his remark.
"If you mean Cameron, he's been doing pretty dang good. Plus if he did nothing noteworthy, what do you call him standing up to both Jo and Lightning during the mine challenge? Um, no offense to either of you." Zoey spoke up, looking over at Jo and Lightning apologetically.
"Nah, none taken. That was pretty impressive actually, all things considered." Jo said with a smile. Lightning nodded.
"Yeah, besides, he actually impressed me. And that's not the easiest thing to sha-do, you know." Lightning remarked with his arms crossed.
"That string bean is just riding the real players' coattails at this point. He doesn't deserve to win." Ann Maria said with a huff. Dakota and Sam glared at her remark.
"He does not ride coattails! If anyone does that, it's a certain evil ginger that's still in." Dakota said with a glare. Sam nodded.
"Yeah. Cameron's been playing a solid social game and a passable strategy game even if his physical game leaves a lot to be desired." Sam remarked.
"You have no room to talk, circus thumb! You got disqualified because you couldn't stay away from your games!" Jo pointed out with a laugh.
"Don't knock us nerds! Some of us don't have social lives to fall back on." Noah said, coming to Sam's defense, prompting him to give Noah an appreciative nod.
"Interesting. I didn't think some of you had such strong opinions. Also, Dakota's comment makes for a perfect lead-in to our next final five player to discuss. I gather not many if any of you think that highly of Scott, but the fact remains he seems to be doing SOMETHING right if he's still in the game at this point." Chris remarked. In a rare show of agreement, both Ann Maria and Zoey huffed at the mention of Scott.
"The only thing that jerk did right was start to realize recently that he needs to rethink his choices. Aside from that, he's at least partly to blame for each of the people who've been sent here so far's eliminations in some form or other. If not for the fact he's so despicable, I might almost respect his gameplay, but again he doesn't do a lot in the way of being respectable." Zoey remarked as Ann Maria nodded.
"Yeah, what she said. Besides, he didn't do much of a job during our short-lived alliance before my elimination so I don't have much of an opinion of him. With any luck, he'll get eliminated either today or next episode, since if I recall correctly, we're closing in on the finale despite still being at the final five." Ann Maria said making Dakota nod.
"Seems like a reasonable assumption to me. Though if we're being realistic, with how slippery and elusive he can be, I wouldn't in the slightest be surprised to see Scott weasel his way into the finale just to spite us all." Dakota said with a huff as she crossed her arms, smiling slightly as Sam gently gave her shoulder an encouraging pat.
"I too wouldn't be surprised to see that happen, but at the same time, it's equally possible he could also miss the finale still. Nothing's set in stone in Total Drama, after all." Sam remarked. Brick laughed.
"Got that right Sam. After all, if it was set in stone, I wouldn't have survived long enough to sacrifice myself for Dawn given I was supposed to be out in the fourth episode, but Chris chose to spare me and move me to the Rats, and we all know how well that worked out for me. Not that I regret how I went out, since she didn't deserve to lose that early for something that wasn't even her fault. Sheesh, at least make sure no one's watching you if you're gonna stuff their clock in your bag of pilfered goods, Scott. Jeez." Brick said, making Jo and Lightning gape at Brick.
"What are you saying, Brick? Are you saying that Scott was the sha-thief that whole time and just framed Dawn to try and get her eliminated?" Lightning said in surprise. Jo frowned, not expecting to hear that from Brick.
"Are you serious, Brick? And here I was thinking Dawn filched my whistle that whole time! Well, I'm just as glad I forgave her for that after awhile. She really impressed me in that last challenge she beat me in. I didn't think she had that kind of talent at driving, but she showed me what she can do. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest to see her dark horse her way to that cash prize even if she is going under the radar just a tad. Besides, given how much crap she's had to go through compared to the rest of us to get here, she's played easily the strongest and most impressive game of any of the final five, bar MAYBE, MAYBE Mike. He's another one who's doing deceptively well for himself. Though that whole bit he had going in those last couple challenges I was in about how his name was Mal did have me kinda creeped out. I'd still rather him win than Scott, though." Jo said, crossing her arms huffily. Zoey frowned at Jo's remark about Mike.
"Wait...what do you mean Mike said his name was Mal?" Zoey asked Jo. To Zoey's surprise, Lightning rubbed the back of his head a tad sheepishly before speaking up.
"That might be in large part my fault to be honest. You remember the challenge we had to go and bring Ezekiel back to Chris for?" Lightning asked Zoey, who nodded.
"Mike was trying to get Ezekiel away from me, and I accidentally shoved him away and onto a rock without realizing it was him. I think I made him hit his head on that rock, which could have made him suddenly start claiming that his name is Mal, because he sure turned a lot meaner after that as well as after your elimination. My sha-bad." Lightning said sheepishly, not even surprised by the glare Zoey gave Lightning.
"YOU DID WHAT TO MIKE?! Lightning, you idiot! You NEVER shove someone onto a rock, ESPECIALLY headfirst! That's a good way to either given them brain damage or kill them if they hit the rock the right way!" Zoey yelled at Lightning, crossing her arms with a frown. Courtney smirked at Zoey's reaction, looking both impressed and surprised at the outburst from the normally easy-going and softspoken girl.
"Wow, I didn't think you had it in you for that, Zoey. Then again, I didn't think much of any of you newbies, though Dawn sure changed my mind when she convinced me to give Ezekiel a chance that episode I brought him back here to get treatment for his feralness. Though if you ask me, I think Dawn was more attached to Ezekiel than she was admitting to. But that's just my opinion." Courtney said with a giggle. This caused a lot of the present cameos and eliminated players to blink at what she'd said.
"Wait, are you serious, Courtney? Danica and Zed, a couple? Why does that give me such a Barbie and Ken vibe?" Lindsay asked in surprise, scratching her head in confusion.
"Wait, you actually got my name right? Granted, you got every OTHER name you said wrong considering their names are DAWN and EZEKIEL! And as for Barbie and Ken, I'm guessing you meant to say Jane and Tarzan or Beauty and the Beast?" Courtney said to Lindsay who blinked then nodded.
"Oops, yeah that's what I meant, Tarzan and Jane. My bad." Lindsay said sheepishly, as Tyler wrapped an arm around her waist encouragingly.
"No big deal, Lindsay. At least you got Courtney's name right, so that's progress." Tyler said to Lindsay who smiled and nodded in agreement.
"Anyways, I think we were talking about Scott, and not about Dawn? I might not have much of a place to voice my opinion, considering I was out first, but I'd say he's doing pretty good for himself. After all, my great-great-great-great uncle was the first saboteur! Before him, people would just fake being sabotaged to get out of things." Staci spoke up, drawing several annoyed eye rolls at her speaking up again. Chris chuckled.
"Indeed, Staci. Though considering how many of you have had things to say about her, let's talk about Dawn next. No one, myself included thought she'd make it this far, yet here she is thriving and even doing rather well for herself, having managed to snag an individual immunity for herself that she shared with Cameron. Yet, she's the only one in the final five who doesn't have at least one ally outside of a possible semi-ally in Cameron. Quite the interesting game she's played. Wouldn't you all agree?" Chris said as he summed up Dawn's game to this point in a few sentences. Several people, most notably Courtney and Sam, nodded their agreement.
"Indeed she has. Dawn's done quite well for herself this season. Granted she had a pretty shaky start during that losing streak her team was on but then she herself managed to personally snap that losing skid, with a bit of help from Ezekiel of course. She actually won that mine challenge for her team single-handedly just about, and was a great help in at least one other win the Rats scraped before the merge, which for a team that was almost destroyed on a level worth of the likes of Team Victory from last season is impressive." DJ remarked, being the only present cameo (bar perhaps Lindsay and Bridgette) who could make that comparison fairly, having been the last remaining member of said team in the previous season before being eliminated by default after having his run sabotaged by Alejandro in Jamaica, forcing him from the game as the only possible option to send packing. Bridgette nodded her agreement.
"Yeah, Dawn's on quite an impressive run, and as someone who's cameoed in this season, I can say she didn't have an easy time getting here. Between her team dropping members faster than Chris can finish seasons, her team being continually sabotaged from within from what I saw of the back episodes I was able to view before this one, and having to help a former contestant escape the island and almost being ejected unfairly herself, Dawn's fought hard to get this far. So if anyone is in a position to say they earned their spot in the top five, she has." Bridgette said with a smile as Courtney nodded.
"I agree. Granted at first, she struck me as odd, quirky and maybe a bit eccentric, but after awhile she actually showed herself to be quite resilient, resourceful AND determined. All good qualities to have. If Ezekiel manages to get back to his normal self and doesn't manage to louse his shot up with her first, he'll be lucky to end up with her. Of course, they have to both admit they're mutually smitten with each other first, but Rome wasn't built in a day after all." Courtney remarked sagely as Noah nodded approvingly to her references and remarks.
"Indeed. Not only did she tame Homeschool, which is pretty awesome in and of itself truthfully, but she also managed to avoid being forced out of the game not once but TWICE so far this season. Most of us were lucky to pull that off once, with the exception of course of both Duncan and Ezekiel, the former of which was practically forced back into the game by Chris last season to ensure the latter took last place both times he competed, and the latter because he kept sneaking back onto the plane, being stubborn and persistent, both qualities that would've earned him a lot of respect if not for the less than ideal way he went about showing said traits. That said, if she keeps showing said resourcefulness, resilience and unbreakable resolve she's shown thus far, she might just have what it takes to be a winner, and even one of the greatest to play in Total Drama thus far." Noah remarked with a smirk, watching Chris squirm in his seat as he thought Noah was about to say something that he'd have to have Chef bleep out in editing for the sake of spoiler prevention. Zoey smiled.
"I think Noah summed it up perfectly. Dawn struck me as unusual a bit when the season started but over time, I slowly warmed to her quirks and realized they made Dawn who she is. Granted, I also had no room to judge given that I was and still am interested in Mike. Granted, if what Jo and Lightning are saying about him is true, there might not be much left of Mike at this point. Which is unfortunate since I can tell that Mike is truly a good guy deep down in his heart, even if some parts of him are apparently a bit unsavory. But overall, he's a unique guy in his own right." Zoey said with a wry smile, trying to not talk too much about Mike.
"I agree with Zoey. Dawn's earned not only my respect but my awe for how incredibly brave, strong-willed and unyielding she is both in heart and in personality. I think if she wanted to be, she could easily cement herself as a fan favorite if she so chose." Brick said with a smile. Jo and Lightning nodded.
"Brick's right. Dawn may have her creepy moments, but when it counts she's tougher than most guys I know. She's certainly sha-earned my respect." Lightning said simply.
"Indeed, Dawn is an impressive player, both as a contestant/camper and as a person. Even my crazier sides like Explosivo or Brainzilla can see that." Izzy remarked with a grin. Noah rolled his eyes.
"Izzy, can you NOT mention your alter-egos right now? Last thing I think you want is people saying you're trying to rip off Mike's character quirks or vice versa." Noah pointed out, ignoring the identical frowns he got from both Izzy and Zoey. Chris chuckled.
"You're one to talk about being quirky, Noah. Or need I remind you of the fact that you were basically no better off than Ezekiel in that you were also first off your team twice." Chris said to Noah with a smirk, as Noah glared.
"First of all, LIES! Izzy was the first proper boot from Team Chris, the same episode DJ was forced out. Second of all, unlike Ezekiel, I didn't keep sneaking back on the Jumbo Jet when I lost, AND I at least made attempts to catch him in the episode I was voted out last season." Noah said.
"Technically, had Chris been running the challenge properly and not skewing it to get Duncan back in the game, you'd have won it for your team, Noah. You and I did catch the Ripper after all." Owen pointed out helpfully making Noah blink in shock at this, turning to face Owen with a stunned look on his face.
"I never thought I'd say this to you Owen, but TOUCHE. Also, those are some well made points." Noah said, blinking in realization before glaring at Chris.
"Aaanyways, I think we were here to discuss the final five of this season, not my job as host." Chris said, deflecting the topic back to the current season's final five.
"That said, I believe we only have two of said final five left to discuss, so since Zoey so nicely provided a means to bring the next person up, let's talk about Mike now. Even if he has played easily the least impressive game of the entire final five other than possibly Cameron, Mike at least has been interesting the last couple episodes with his apparent descent into evil as Mal. Between him knocking out Lightning one episode, almost catching Ezekiel single-handed in that same episode, and having an impressive vendetta against Scott for what he views as engineering Zoey's elimination, Mike has made this final five much more interesting than it otherwise might be. But that's just my opinion. What say you guys?" Chris asked the eliminated contestants and cameos. Jo and Lightning frowned at the mention of Mike.
"Mike is sha-crazy! I might have knocked him onto a rock, but that by itself shouldn't turn someone into an insane psycho! The guy tried to beat me senseless for no real reason other than I was in his way during a challenge! Not to mention he's taken an almost unhealthy interest in making an example out of Scott just because he was the reason that Zoey got eliminated during the mine challenge. Not to mention he's been nothing but a sha-jerk to Cameron recently that I saw." Lightning said, narrowing his eyes as he thought about some of the things Mal had gotten up to. Jo nodded her agreement.
"Exactly. Not to mention he threw a bomb at Scott's car, not even caring that it missed and he hit Cameron's car instead! The fool could've killed Cameron had it not broken down like it did." Jo said huffily, as Zoey gasped in shock at hearing this.
"Why did he change his name? That doesn't seem like something Mike would do to me. But maybe my elimination and Lightning pushing him onto that rock snapped something in him? I hope not." Zoey said nervously. Dakota frowned.
"Whether or not it's something he'd do is irrelevant! If he's acting like that, he might end up being worse than Scott, if that's possible. And Scott's almost a bigger scum than Chris at times." Dakota said, making Sam, Noah and Courtney all laugh at the effective dig on Mike, Scott AND Chris. The aforementioned host just huffed as he crossed his arms, pouting at this.
"Aw come on, don't be mad Chris. You're still the host here after all. We're just having some fun with you is all." Sam said trying to cheer up Chris. It failed, needless to say.
"Anyways, that's enough about Mike aka Mal. Now for the final member of the final five. Beverly, or Silent B as he sometimes is nicknamed, was originally the third overall elimination of this season after Scott sabotaged his invention to make the Rats lose and got him eliminated as a result. However, when the merge approached, he leapt at the opportunity to return and get further than he originally did. And honestly I'm glad he did, since if he'd refused, we'd have had to bring Brick back. And who wants a returner who might give his spot up on a whim? That's boring! So yeah he got to return. And now, he's in the final 5 after managing to slide through a messy elimination that nearly caused him to be revolving-doored. He's not a man of many if any words, so not much else is known of him. What do you guys think?" Chris asked the eliminated players and cameos.
"B's a resourceful sort of guy. He might not say much, but that's not a bad thing necessarily. After all, the saying goes 'Silent, but deadly,' or something like that. So I think B might be a fiercer competitor than we're giving him credit for. However, his status as a returner is working against him here. So the odds are not in B's favor on this one." Noah said sagely as Zoey and Sam nodded their agreement.
"That's true. I think out of everyone, B and Dawn are probably the most liked players out of the final 5 with Cameron close behind. Mal and Scott are kinda tied for last at the moment in terms of most liked." Sam said as Zoey frowned.
"Why would Mike do something so mean-spirited and hateful?" Zoey asked, and wasn't surprised when no one answered her.
"If we're being honest here, B has a total crush on Dawn even if he doesn't admit to it, and she doesn't realize it. Then again, Ezekiel is better for her in my opinion." Dakota said after a pause. Courtney and Lindsay nodded their agreement.
"Agreed. Doris and Zed looked really cute together in the mine episode. Plus her shocked look when he kissed her on the cheek was adorable." Lindsay said cluelessly. Noah and Sam facefaulted in unison at Lindsay once again getting people's names wrong. Bridgette and Courtney just helped the two up.
"Lindsay, their names are Dawn and Ezekiel, not Doris and Zed." Bridgette gently reminded Lindsay who blinked.
"Ohh, right. Oops, my bad." Lindsay said sheepishly as Tyler smiled at her.
"At least you only got two names wrong this time Lindsay. That's progress." Tyler said encouragingly to Lindsay who nodded as she smiled at him, both of them oblivious to the unamused looks on several people's faces, including Chris. Chris then cleared his throat when no one else seemed ready to say anything about B.
"I see. Well to be fair B hasn't really done much in either of his runs this season so it stands to reason people would have the least to say about him. Now that we've discussed our final five, let's reveal the reason I called you all here today. All of you will take turns saying who you most want to win. And so no one gets any paranoid ideas, these votes will affect this episode's elimination so take that into account when you make your choices. We'll start with our cameos and work in reverse order from them down to the last of the eliminated contestants, or the player eliminated first. That said, Trent's first since he was the most recent cameo." Chris said as Trent nodded.
"I haven't seen any of the final five's antics or seen them in action, but given that a lot of people were praising his gameplay I'll take a shot and say I want Cameron to win the most." Trent said as a *DING* was heard that gave LeShawna a start since she'd heard about the events of her ousting from the first season and this sounded similar to that occasion.

"As much as I want to say that a certain someone deserves the win more than the others, Chris never said exactly what these votes would determine or HOW they would determine things so I'll play it safe and say I want Mike/Mal to win the most because he's a safe choice that wouldn't have too much backlash caused if he wins immunity or gets eliminated by this vote." Noah said ignoring the glare that Zoey gave him as the expected *DING* was heard.
(Cameron-1 Mike/Mal-1 B-0 Dawn-0 Scott-0)
"Chris, this better NOT be setting up for the same stunt you pulled in season one when you eliminated me. That said, I want Mike/Mal to win the most because I agree with Noah's logic." LeShawna said, ignoring the glare Zoey shot her while Noah nodded in approval to LeShawna as the expected *DING* was heard.
(Mike/Mal-2 Cameron-1 B-0 Dawn-0 Scott-0)
"This might be a bit of a hot take, but I'll say I want Scott to win most since he's been playing a solid game even if he's a bit of a jerk." Tyler said causing Jo, Lightning and Zoey to exchange amused grins at this turn of events as a *DING* was heard.
(Mike/Mal-2 Cameron-1 Scott-1 B-0 Dawn-0)
"I want her to have at least one vote so I'm gonna take the risk and say I want Dawn to win the most." Courtney said, ignoring the gasp from most of the cameos and eliminated players as the *DING* was heard.
(Mike/Mal-2 Cameron-1 Dawn-1 Scott-1 B-0)
"As solid as Dinah's game has been, I think Mona's game was more solid so I want them to win the most." Lindsay said obliviously making pretty much everyone else either glare at Lindsay, gape at her stupidity or blink at who she meant as the *DING* was heard, surprising people that any of what she said had counted.
(Mike/Mal-3 Cameron-1 Dawn-1 Scott-1 B-0)
"As much as I admire how much Dawn's been playing her heart out, I don't want to chance her getting screwed over by Chris here so I'll go with the others and choose to say I want Mike/Mal to win the most." Bridgette said frowning as not one *DING* but two were heard making the others blink at this.
(Mike/Mal-4 Dawn-2 Cameron-1 Scott-1 B-0)
"Explosivo says that he wants Mike/Mal to win, and I agree with him." Izzy said not seeing how wide Zoey's eyes were at this point. as the *DING* was heard.
(Mike/Mal-5 Dawn-2 Cameron-1 Scott-1 B-0)
"Since no one else will vote for him, I'll say I want B to win the most. After all, who doesn't want the lovable big guy to win?" Owen asked, ignoring the glares aimed at him.
(Mike/Mal-5 Dawn-2 B-1 Cameron-1 Scott-1)
"And now for the eliminated players, starting with Jo and ending with Staci." Chris said.
"I don't know who I want to win the most but I think I'll be smart and say I want Mike/Mal to win the most." Jo said as Zoey gasped at her when the *DING* was heard.
(Mike/Mal-6 Dawn-2 B-1 Cameron-1 Scott-1)
"I think that all of the final five deserve to win other than Sha-B. But Lightning can't pick more than one so I'll pick that I want Scott to win the most." Lightning said as another *DING* was heard.
(Mike/Mal-6 Dawn-2 Scott-2 B-1 Cameron-1)
"I want Mike to win but in case this twist eliminates whoever has the most votes, I'm going to say I want Scott to win the most just to be safe." Zoey said as Chris smirked as the *DING* was heard.
(Mike/Mal-6 Scott-3 Dawn-2 B-1 Cameron-1)
"You cut in front of me, Amidorka! But it's whatever. I want Cameron to win the most." Ann Maria said as the expected *DING* was heard.
(Mike/Mal-6 Scott-3 Cameron-2 Dawn-2 B-1)
"I want Dawn to win the most. Might as well keep her out of the bottom to avoid the OTHER end of the spectrum just to be safe." Sam said as silence followed before the expected *DING* was heard.
(Mike/Mal-6 Dawn-3 Scott-3 Cameron-2 B-1)
"The entire final five have played well aside from B, so this is hard for me. I think in all fairness, I want Cameron to win the most since he's been working as hard as the rest of them." Brick said as a *DING* was heard.
(Mike/Mal-6 Cameron-3 Dawn-3 Scott-3 B-1)
"As much as I agree with Sam's choice, I kinda want someone else to win. But why not? I want Dawn to win the most." Dakota said ignoring the wide eyes at this while the *DING* was heard.
(Mike/Mal-6 Dawn-4 Cameron-3 Scott-3 B-1)
"I want Dawn to win the most. Also, I think when Lindsay said Dinah, she meant Dawn so I don't know why that wasn't counted." Staci said, as several wide-eyed glares were aimed at her as another pair of *DING*s were heard.
(Dawn-6 Mike/Mal-6 Cameron-3 Scott-3 B-1)
Chris chuckled as he tallied up the results.
"Well, this sucks. I WAS planning to have the person whose name was said the most be eliminated but because it's a tie that won't work, we'll just have to give Mike/Mal and Dawn immunity instead and go with plan B." Chris said as a robot wheeled in what looked to be a slot machine, making everyone present frown.
"Is that a slot machine?" Tyler and Noah asked simultaneously before blinking as they shrugged at speaking in unison. Chris nodded.
"Very good you two. Behold the Lame-O-Slots. I was hoping not to need this but since someone forced a tie between Dawn and Mike/Mal, my original plan wouldn't work. In that case, we go with this. As you can see, these slots have pictures of B, Scott and Cameron on them. So I will now spin the slots and whoever's picture comes up on the reels is eliminated from the game! Let's spin the slots!" Chris said as he pulled the lever. As everyone present watched, the slots spun around eventually stopping one by one and revealing that the person who was on all three slots and thus eliminated was...

...was, perhaps unsurprisingly, B! Chris nodded at the result.
"And there we have it! B gets eliminated in a massive twist of fate! So as such, your final four is now set. Who will be able to reach the finale and potentially win the whole season? Can Dawn, the moonchild turned potential fan favorite, pull out the win? Can Mike, the man of many faces, run the table to the end? Does Cameron, the bubble boy, have any chance at all? Or could everyone's least favorite scheming saboteur, Scott, dark horse his way to the end? Only time will tell! For now, this has been Chris McLean live from inside the site of the old Playa de Losers from season one. See you next time!" Chris said.
(Back on the island)
Chef could be seen dragging a wide-eyed B to the Hurl of Shame as he sighed while getting in for his second hurling.
"At least we don't have to ask if you have any last words since you've not said one word all season soldier, so why would you change that now?" Chef said rhetorically. B frowned, actually looking as if he wanted to say something, but Chef pulled the lever and hurled B before he had the chance to do so. After B vanished from sight, the sounds of his yelling still audible in the distance, Chris showed up at the island.
"And there you have it! With B BACK out of the game, our final four has been set! Who will be out next? Who will come up just short of the finale? And will I have a final twist in store for the final four in the semi-final challenge? To find out the answers to all these questions, and probably more, keep watching TOTAL! DRAMA! REVENGE...OF THE ISLAND!" Chris said as he signed off the episode.
End of chapter
A/N: FINALLY! This took WAAAAY too long to get typed out! Luckily I had enough time on my hands to get this typed out so we can move this story from 'ON HIATUS' back to 'IN PROGRESS'! And yeah B got sent back out of the game! I'll be honest, there were points where both Cameron and Mike/Mal were considered for elimination here but in the end I couldn't justify keeping B in the game over the others so it was adios to him. But let's be fair, who was expecting the returner to win anyways? That never happens hardly!
That aside, this story has at most three chapters left. One for the semi-final aka final four challenge, one for the finale, and possiibly a 'special' chapter (like how both Island and Action had 'special' episodes after the finale where the players reunited to set up the following season) that wraps up the story (and possibly sets up the future of this series. Might do a sequel to this that covers how differently All-Stars would happen in this 'verse', not sure yet. Let me know in reviews (or PMs if you prefer) if that interests you. Either way, sorry this took so long!
And a heads-up for anyone who reads Shuffled Journeys that's reading this, I plan to work on that next most likely since it's been pushed back long enough. On top of that my current poll, despite what was said in my most recent Pyrex Chronicles chapter, is targeted to end on this Friday, June 17th! And at this point the poll sits at a 1-1-1-1 tie, so anyone who wants to vote on that poll can find it up on my profile! You have a couple more days to vote so feel free to get your votes in now! Having said that, enjoy this overdue update and until next chapter, sithlorde1988 out!
