DISCLAIMERS

This chapter is the third of Act V in the The Unofficial Acts series. It is optional, yet advised, you have read all chapters of TUA Act IV (series here), as well as the previous chapters of Act V (A Sign of Weakness is All One Needs and It's Not That Black and White) before proceeding.

While being fanfiction, each chapter was formatted as if it were a 'scene' of a whole episode which is this work, as part of a hypothetical season which is the The Unofficial Acts (TUA) series.

This, once again emphasized here, is a HYPOTHETICAL SCENARIO and UNOFFICIAL, established far before the release of the teaser trailer in June 2024, so it shouldn't be taken with severe scrutiny. Care was taken to approach this work as close to the canon element as possible, but there are no guarantees of non-discrepancy, especially in regards to added elements that are introduced here. Some other elements from the original LoL universe (especially but not limited to origin stories) have been altered in as much a sense as they were originally in the series.

The elements depicted here contain multiple SPOILERS from Arcane: League of Legends Season 01. This is a warning to those whom have not completely watched the entire series, prior to start reading this fanfiction.

Elements of graphical violence, angst, psychosis and paranoia might be included across not only this chapter, but also the series. You were warned.

Based on Arcane: League of Legends by Netflix and Fortiche Studios.

League of Legends universe and characters by Riot Games.

SIGNS OF STRUGGLE

Big sis and I used to play monsters when we were kids.

The darkness of the fissures, the light being provided by bulbs, can do little to obscure the early nightfall that topside enjoys. Or used to enjoy. The street was deserted, most buildings closed but that rundown pharmacy that was broken in.

Being big and fearsome. Because that's what the world out there ends up demanding. Else it gobbles you up.

A pharmacy from which sounds were coming out of it. Crashing sounds. Sounds of struggle. Two feminine groans, roar and screams.

But they forget... the thing with monsters is, they're meant to be scary. They hurt people.

Some strobes pass by the pharmacy's front. Purple and blue ones, flashing around, passing around quick. As if something was occurring.

Monsters can't smile. Can't go out and jump ropes. Can't love. Can't be loved.

The crashing sounds intensify as the purple and blue lights then stop. A bloodcurling female scream gets on and on.

Worse is, there's plenty of books telling how to kill monsters...

Then, suddenly, consecutive strong lights, followed by consecutive strong noises come out.

Gunshots. Repeatedly.

And then it's all silent at the pharmacy.

But I ain't seen one telling how do you live when you become one.

ACT V

BABY POWDER

SEVIKA

The Last Drop's office was mostly empty, save for the head person at the room, taking a puff and checking over the map of the fissures, along with the topside buildings of the southern isthmus surrounding them, that'd definitely need to be drawn over again, after the quakes. Silence lorded over the ambience again since sounds of conflict and gunfire stopped about fifteen minutes ago. From the immediate guards, clearly topside tried making it's move against the Dreadnought fanatics, and the lack of enforcers to far as quite a clue to how the engagement ended out.

And apparently the engagement didn't last long, and that wasn't good - the attrition would've at least been useful to deplete both her foes.

Sevika's eyes darted, then, and a bit of a while at times, to a particular drawing on a piece of paper, one almost resembling a heart. Not the blood-pumping organ at the center of the body, of course, but rather the silly drawing associated with childish romance.

Something that was drawn, to and for her, ages ago...

Knocks were then heard at the door.

"Who is it?", Sevika asked.

"It's us, boss.", the voice came from the outside. "Dunn and Dib."

"Get in.", Sevika ordered, as the door opened and the two henchmen she had sent off early had entered, shutting the door behind them and standing before the Chem-Baroness herself, sitting down at the decadent chair that was warm but weeks before.

"Sorry the delay, gunfights started close by, we had to take-", the first one, Dunn, started.

"Scratch that.", Sevika interjected, waving it off. "Was it really Jinx, shown up after all this?"

"She did show up, boss.", the second one, Dib, answered. "But get this - someone else was there, whom set the boom off."

"Someone else?", Sevika shrugged before she then shook her head. "Of course that brat started to grow a following..."

"It was her sister.", Dunn replied. "The pink hair. *She* was the boomer."

That information got Sevika's attention, staring at both henchmen. "Bullshit.", she stated, a couple of seconds later, pointing at both. "And it ain't a light one, she's more into a personal touch, that's a fact."

"First time for everything?", Dib asked a second later, shrugging. "And, of course, it got a bit more interesting..."

"Define interesting.", Sevika stared at the henchmen, whom then looked at each other and back at her boss, whom shrugged, waiting for the answer.
