After speaking to the strange lady, I agreed to go to the Type-Moon world.

"Okay, I will go to your world, but I want at least three special abilities if I do."

"I am fine with that. State the abilities you want," she responded.

"First, I want an enhanced body—not superhuman, but stronger and faster than the average human. Second, I want 50 high-quality magic circuits. And lastly, the ability called 'Informer.'"

"Informer? What kind of ability is that? You're only giving me the name," Alaya asked, puzzled.

"It's a power from an isekai I saw a long time ago. It allows me to ask for any type of knowledge in exchange for magic energy."

"So that's why you asked for the magic circuits," she said, nodding. "Okay, I will grant you Informer, but there will be a limit. You can only use its power once a month. And knowing doesn't mean you'll understand it, so good luck with that."

"Okay, since we're done with the preparations, I will send you one day after the Fuyuki fire happens," Alaya concluded.

"Thanks, Alaya. It was nice talking to you," I said.

"It was nice talking to you, child of another world."

The next thing the 18-year-old boy knew, he fell asleep and woke up in a burned park filled with dead trees and ash everywhere he looked. The land looked like it had been cursed by a fairy tale witch.

He woke up on the ground and searched for anything Alaya might have given him. He found three things in his pocket: a note, a wallet, and a military knife with the runic words for fire and knowledge etched onto it.

"So this is Fuyuki. It looks like Satan spawned here," he muttered.

Looking down at the note, he saw a map showing where he was and where he was supposed to go: a hotel outside the burned area of Fuyuki. In the wallet, he found 457,236 yen.

Looking at the map again, he decided to head north to find shelter for the day.

DAY 1

I found the hotel last night after five wrong turns and three police officers who, luckily, spoke English and helped me with directions. After finding my destination, another problem came up.

Language barriers are the most dreadful thing for a person from a different country, but in the end, the clerk finally gave me a room. It cost about 3,000 yen and was cheap because of the recent fire.

Now it's morning, and I'm trying to open my magic circuits. If I remember correctly, magic circuits are pseudo-nervous systems that spread through the human body and qualify a person to be a magus.

Magic circuits have two basic functions: one is to convert life force into magical energy, and the other is to allow their owner to access Thaumaturgical Foundations, also known as magecraft.

Magic circuits are "opened" when magical energy is run through them for the first time. Based on their experience at that time, a person makes their mental trigger to activate their magic circuits at will from then on.

So, all I need is a trigger that comes from my experience. Something important to me. Something that I can think of really fast is my computer password. I've had that password for every computer in my life.

"Okay, let's try it," I said to myself.

DR******

After I said those words in my mind, I felt like I had lava in my veins for a few seconds. Then, I passed out on my bed.
