Chapter 2 - Getting Into Fairy Tail

Seven Years Later

A young man with vibrant pink hair stepped off a train into Hargeon's train station. He yawned while stretching and stopped once he saw his familiar blue feline hop on his shoulder. "Sleep well, Happy?"

The blue cat, now known as Happy, wiped his furry eyelids before jumping off the train to stand next to the pink-haired man. Happy lifted his paw and smiled at the young man. "Aye, sir! It was a comfortable ride. Now, I'm ready to go. Let's see if we can find your mom, Natsu!"

Natsu smiled brightly and widely, showing off his sharp teeth before raising his fist. "Let's go get Helia!"

"Aye, sir!" Both the Dragonslayer and Exceed soon walked into the town center. As they walked, Natsu looked inside the many shops and cafés, making Happy stop walking and turn to look at him.

"What's up, Natsu?"

"I'm just looking to see what they have. I might need to get something soon."

Happy smirked as he curled his blue furry tail behind his head. "Something for Erza~?"

Natsu flinched before looking away sheepishly; his cheeks dusted pink like his hair. "I'm thinking of getting a Magic Tool or something. Maybe I want to train myself to use weapons!"

"Like a certain redhead, we both know~?"

Natsu blushed harder but fought it by crossing his arms and looking away. "W-Whatever, Happy! I'm just trying to get stronger, is all!"

"To get stronger for Erza~?"

"Happy, would you-?!" Natsu stopped talking as shouts of girls giggling and cheering resounded further profoundly into the town, making both Natsu and Happy turn their heads toward the source. "What the hell is happening that way?"

Happy tilted his head in confusion. "Maybe someone is having a party? Must be a pretty big party for that many girls to be cheering."

"Let's go find out. If it's not Helia, it must be someone strong to fight!" Natsu smiled with determined eyes as he swiftly dashed toward the town center. Happy hopped on his shoulder as he ran.

"Aye, sir!"

"I can't believe that old bastard cheated me out of a Celestial Spirit Key! I doubt that this silver key was worth 10,000 Jewels!" A certain blonde in a white and blue outfit with brown boots stomped through Hargeon as she ground her teeth. She then stood up and frowned as she crossed her arms under her large breasts. "And here I was, using my curvy body and feminine wiles to try and seduce him. For him only to knock off a thousand Jewels!" The blonde sighed as she sat on a cobblestone bridge and lifted the silver key to the sunlight, smiling as she studied it. "It's alright... Every Celestial Spirit I gain is another friend I made." The young blonde lowered her head as she saw multiple young girls run past her.

"Have you heard?! Out of all people, he's here?!" One girl squealed in excitement.

"I know, right?! I can't believe that THE Salamander is here in Hargeon!" One girl yelled back happily as she ran.

"We better get there before anyone gets to him first!" Soon after, the large group of girls sprinted further into the town.

After they left, the young blonde stood up, her eyes filled with determination. "Salamander...? Of Fairy Tail?! That's precisely who I need to meet!" After fixing her clothes and pouch, the blonde soon entered the town center. When she reached the town center, she stopped and awkwardly smiled at what she saw.

The large groups of fangirls were within the town center, but in the center was a tall, skinny man with purple hair and arrow-pointed eyebrows. The man was smirking confidentiality as he ran his fingers through his hair and kissed his fans. "Ladies~ Ladies~ There's enough of me to go around~"

'Just who the hell does this creep think he is?' The young blonde thought as she tried to smile, but her lips quivered. She flinched as the lean man faced her and smirked. The skinny man smirked cockily as he walked toward her.

"Hello there~ I don't think I've ever seen such beauty. Mind gracing me with your name, cutie~?" The man kissed the blonde's hand before winking.

'I should kick your ass, you creep!' "Hi! I'm Lucy Heartfilia!" Lucy smiled excitedly at the man. 'What the hell?! Why did I say that?!' Lucy internally yelled at herself, but her outer appearance hadn't changed. Lucy suddenly pushed her breasts together as she looked at the tall, lanky man cutely. "Say... The Great Salamander wouldn't mind bringing me to Fairy Tail, would he...?" 'WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?! This isn't who I am!'

The tall, lanky man stood up and smirked before he rubbed Lucy's cheek. "I'll do it if you give me a quick kiss~"

"Okay!" As the tall, lanky man slowly leaned into Lucy's face, she puckered her lips while internally screaming and fighting. 'Someone! Anyone! Please! Stop him from doing this! I don't want this! Save-!'

"Helia! Is that you?! Why haven't you told me where you've been? I've been-!" Suddenly, Natsu entered the town center before Lucy's lips were forcefully taken. As Natsu stood there, he raised an eyebrow and tilted his head in confusion. "... I guess instead of finding Helia, I've found a creep."

"A CREEP!? " the tall, lanky man exclaimed as he stood up, quickly pushing Lucy angrily, with Natsu catching her. He then turned as he rubbed his purple hair. "Heh! I'm sure nobody doesn't understand how big of a person I am, so I'll let it go."

Natsu snorted as he helped Lucy stand, who immediately snapped out of her daze when the Dragonslayer arrived. He then stood in front of her as he chuckled. "Yeah, how big of a jerk and creep you are for using Charm Magic on all of these girls. Real mature of you, Bora."

The tall, lanky man flinched as he heard his real name. "How the hell do you?!" Bora then stood up abruptly as he studied the young man's features. The spiky and wild hair and the giant canines helped Bora realize that the young man berating him was indeed Natsu Dragneel! "O-OH CRAP! I... It's you, Natsu Dragneel! L-Listen, maybe we can work something out! I... I mean, hey, everyone messes up, right?"

Natsu crossed his arms as he glared at the man sternly. "A mistake is once or twice, not being known for enslaving young girls multiple times, Bora. I'll give you a choice: we can either do this the easy way or the hard way, where I drag your sorry ass. What it'll be?"

Bora gritted his teeth in anger as he lowered his head. He then looked up, glaring furiously at Natsu. "TO HELL WITH BOTH CHOICES! I'LL KICK YOUR ASS!" Bora then smirked as he pulled out a large vial of light-purple liquid before throwing it to the ground, creating a smokescreen. As the smoke blurred everyone's vision, Bora smiled as he snapped his fingers, and as he did, large groups of thugs and bandits began flooding the town center, surrounding everyone. "Red Carpet!" Continuing to smirk, Bora snapped his fingers again as fire surrounded his feet, then lifted himself into the sky on a flying, fiery stone carpet. "If you are the great Salamander, taking down these thugs shouldn't be a problem, right?! Get him, boys!"

"YEAH!" The thugs yelled as they grinned maliciously, and they soon surrounded Natsu.

However, Natsu smirked before cracking his fists and knuckles. "Every time I give the offer, guys like you always take the hard way. Eh. It's fine; the hard way is always the more fun way anyway!" He then crouched slightly as both of Natsu's hands lit aflame in bluish-yellowish flames. "Heavenly Fire Dragon's..." Natsu crossed his arms as he jumped into the air; streaks of large blue flames cascaded down his back. "ANGELIC WINGS!" The large streaks of flames soon crossed and descended on the group of thugs, encasing them in the scratching flames and causing explosions across the town center. As the fire died down and Natsu landed on the ground, many of the bandits and thugs lay on the ground, unconscious, mouths gaping open.

"W... Wh... WHAT THE HELL?!" Bora screamed fearfully as he jumped in fear as he exclaimed. 'Those... Those guys were the strongest bandits I could find! Well... More like the only ones who would be my bodyguards with the money I offered, but he took them out with a single blow!' "Just what the hell are you?!"

"I'm Natsu Dragneeel. A Heavenly Fire Dragonslayer as well as a Fairy Tail Wizard! I won't stand for anyone who would sully its name!" As Natsu stood confidently while his sweater fell off, Lucy's eyes widened as she saw the red trademark Fairy symbol on the man's right shoulder.

'He truly is a Fairy Tail Wizard...'

Bora gritted his teeth as he clenched his fist before he opened it. Purple misty flames began pouring out of it. "FINE! If you're going to be like that, I guess I'll take a hostage. PROMINENCE WHIP!" A stringy rope of purple flames came rushing out of his hand and wrapped around Lucy's neck, causing the young girl to choke and groan from the intense grip. Before she could attempt to pull it off, she was suddenly pulled and held next to Bora. The purple-haired man cackled as he tilted his head backward. "You idiot! Now, I've got a hostage! And what are you going to do-?" As Bora opened his eyes and turned toward his hand, he looked confused as to why Lucy was floating next to him, but as he turned his head toward the two, Bora's eyes widened in shock as he saw Natsu grab and eat the rope of flames connecting to his hand.

"Seems like you're the bigger idiot! Being a Dragonslayer means I can eat fire too, but I think you'll understand it more if I teach you with my fist!" As Natsu sucked in the purple flames, Bora was pulled in from the vacuum force, making him cry and squeal in fear as Natsu was pulling him.

"W-WAIT! WAIT PLEASE! I PLEAD MERCY!"

"HEAVENLY FIRE DRAGON'S BLESSED FIST!" Before Bora could plead anymore, his face was violently struck by a bluish-yellowish flaming fist, sending the Dark Wizard bouncing against some buildings before finally crashing into the Hargeon Town bell tower and lying unconscious with some teeth missing as the bell rang. Natsu stood up, dusting his fist as he smiled, and turned to face Lucy and Happy. "Now, that's over with. Let's get some food, shall we?"

"Thanks for the food!" Natsu and Happy clasped their hands together as they bowed before quickly eating the multiple plates of food. Happy had two plates of fish before him. In contrast, Natsu had an entire buffet of meals before him, varying from baked chicken to grilled steaks and many seafood dishes such as grilled tilapia and roasted octopus. As the two ate their food, Lucy chuckled nervously as the two ate.

'That was my month's worth of savings going down their throats...' She wept silently while laughing as both Natsu and Happy ate. She stopped when she saw Natsu look toward her. "S-Something wrong?"

Natsu swallowed the food in his mouth before sitting up. "You're not going to eat?"

Lucy waved her hands as she shook her head, smiling reassuringly. "No, no! It's alright! Just consider this: thanks for rescuing me from that Bora guy! I don't know what I would do against his Charm Magic! You saved me, so I just had to thank you!"

"Ahh, I get it!" Natsu smiled as he crossed his arms while sitting back. "Saving up the room in your stomach for when we get to Fairy Tail, smart move. I gotta tell you: Mira makes the best food, hands-down!"

"Oh wow, she's that good?!" Lucy's eyes widened before she shook her head. "Wait! Wait! You're not going to bring me to Fairy Tail, are you?! Are you sure someone like me would be a good fit for Fairy Tail?"

Natsu chuckled as he raised an eyebrow. "Fairy Tail isn't a big special establishment, but almost everyone can join! Plus, you don't seem bad, so I'm sure everyone will like you!"

"Aye, sir!" Happy smiled happily as he raised a paw. "Everyone in Fairy Tail is one big happy family! Even if we fight, we're family!"

Lucy's eyes shined as she squealed happily. "Thank you so much!" She then reached over the table and hugged Natsu tightly, hugging him as she pushed his head into her well-endowed chest. As Lucy let go of the Dragonslayer, she raised an eyebrow and looked at him in confusion when she realized he was blushing and looking away. "E... Everything OK, Natsu?"

"I... I'm fine, no worries!" He awkwardly chuckled after scanning the room, seeming to search for someone. 'She's not here, right?... I'd be so dead if she saw that...'

Lucy raised both eyebrows before looking concerned, making Happy laugh. "It's not your fault since you didn't know. There's this girl who is our partner. Her name is Erza, and she loves Natsu and is very clingy to him. If she saw him on a date like this, you and him would get severely punished!"

"PUNISHED?!" Lucy shrieked in fear.

"THIS ISN'T A DATE!" Natsu roared as he turned to Lucy and Happy, cheeks tinted red. "We're not on a date, so there's nothing wrong with that. We're just casually eating among friends. Because we both know what'll happen if this is a date, right...?" As Natsu spoke slowly, Happy and Lucy quickly nodded their heads, making him sigh in relief. "Good, now, let's head to Fairy Tail." He then placed a bag of Jewels on the table before leading the Celestial blonde and the blue cat out of the restaurant.

Soon enough, the trio bought train tickets to Magnolia. As they rode, Lucy and Natsu looked out the train car at the countryside's many scenic and beautiful landscapes. The blonde slowly turned her head toward the salmon-haired man and asked, "What is Erza like...?"

Natsu perked up slightly while rubbing the sleeping blue cat's head. "Well, for one thing: she's clingy and stern as all hell!" Natsu huffed his cheeks while his brow furrowed. "I mean, she always seems to find something wrong with someone and finds any way to get me all to herself. But, she was a lot worse..."

Year X781

The air was thick with excitement and anticipation due to the S-Class Trials finally occurring. Makarov smiled brightly and warmly as he saw the excited and determined smiles of Gray Fullbuster, Cana Alberona, Elfman Strauss, Bisca Mulan, Alzack Connell, Laki Olietta, Erza Scarlet, and surprisingly, Natsu Dragneel. Although only having been in Fairy Tail for three years, the young boy had made much progress, quickly rising to A-Class. 'That being because of the help of a certain redhead...' Makarov smirked as he thought of how close the Dragonslayer and Knight had become.

Since the two became partners, Natsu had grown stronger, now contending with Wizards such as Makarov's grandson, Laxus, and the mysterious loner, Mystogan. Erza had also grown more powerful, quickly rising to the A Rank despite only being in the guild for five years. Not only did she get more robust, but Erza also grew much more... Assertive with the salmon-haired Dragonslayer.

Meaning the young girl would watch the body from a distance and glare at anyone who would either harm or even touch Natsu. Sometimes, striking down or even knocking out whoever assaults Natsu, Erza was very protective of the young Dragonslayer, and when the young redhead was alone with him, she would not let him leave her sight. At first, it was mainly due to Natsu being his sparring/training partner. However, as with every young woman, the more time Erza spent with Natsu, the more she couldn't help but develop a slight crush on the Dragonslayer. Something that didn't go unnoticed by the old Guild Master.

Was he annoying? Yes.

Was he as stubborn as a mule? Yes.

Did he always find some reason to get into a fight with someone? Yes.

Despite that, Makarov could tell that Erza found that Natsu was like a beacon of hope. Even if many of the guild members were in deep sadness or silence, the Dragonslayer would always jokingly make a fool of himself so everyone would have a reason to laugh. Natsu would talk with his newfound friends and help them move on from what was causing stress. He would also rush in and save his friends without hesitation. And most importantly, Natsu would never argue with Erza about spending personal time with her. Whether it was training, language lessons, or individual time together, Natsu would never argue and smile happily at the redhead.

Seeing that lovely, toothy smile constantly improved Erza's day, even a tiny amount.

'Plus, it's a wonderful sight to see the typically uptight Erza begin to fawn over a boy~.' Makarov chuckled while playing with his thick mustache. The old man smiled proudly as he sorted through the papers of the new young Mages of S Class candidates; he decided to discuss raising S Class to the young redhead when she entered the guild.

"WE'RE BACK, GUYS!" Makarov laughed as he heard the boisterous yell of the infamous Heavenly Fire Dragonslayer, and he walked out of his office. He smiled as he saw Natsu in his typical outfit of a red sweater and yellow pants and his close scarlet-haired female companion in her blue skirt with an armor breastplate covering her chest and their flying blue kitten. Everyone in Fairy Tail smiled happily and began laughing, then cheering as the trio walked into the guild.

Gray, with slightly longer raven hair, was wearing a blue shirt, blue coat, and green jeans and smirked confidentially as he stood before the trio. "Well, Pyro's back from going on more mission dates! It's about time you got back! I need a good sparring partner!"

Natsu tilted his head as he focused on the foreign word. "What the hell is a 'mission date?' Has the ice finally frosted your brain or something, Stripper?"

Gray looked confused before he snickered and crossed his arms. "You do know that you're not fooling anyone, right? I mean, dude. She's holding you as we speak."

Natsu raised an eyebrow before they widened as he realized Erza was hugging and holding him, making him blush and quickly slip out of her hold. "E-Erza! Quit it, would you? I'm about to beat Ice Princess!"

Erza pouted as Natsu left her. "But you didn't let me hug you at all today. You said 'after the mission,' and it's after, so I'm getting what I'm owed... Right?"

Natsu's blush seemed to grow as he heard Erza's faux tone while looking away sheepishly. "J-Just wait until we get home, alright...?" Natsu sighed in relief as he saw Erza pout but nodded her head.

Many other guild members chuckled and cooed as they saw the Dragonslayer act bashfully around his Knight, despite the two being nearly inseparable on most days.

"I think I'm going to throw up from all this PDA..." Gray spoke plainly as he groaned at Natsu and Erza. "I thought we were sparring. You almost have to find some way to brag about your girlfriend, huh? I get she's too good for you!" Gray stopped complaining as a bluish, yellow-hued flaming fist collided with his face, causing him to be sent flying into a nearby booth.

"SHE'S NOT TOO GOOD FOR ME, GRAY!" Natsu yelled before running after him with flaming fists. "I'LL KICK YOUR ASS FOR SAYING THAT, GRAY!"

Immediately, Gray stood up and wiped the blood from his nose, running toward Natsu with icy mist-leaking fists. "BRING IT ON, THEN, PYRO! I'LL KICK YOUR ASS!" Soon enough, the two boys fought inside the guildhall, punching and kicking each other as they sparred.

"Natsu, wait!" Erza frowned as she rushed to stop the two, but she was stopped when Mira and Cana held her arms. "What are you two doing?! I must stop them!"

"Let it go, Erza. They're boys; they'll hurt themselves somehow, so let them have fun." Mira joked while raising her shoulders.

"Besides," Cana smirked as she leaned forward to look up at the redheaded knight. "Don't you want to make sure your boyfriend protects your honor? Hm?"

Erza frowned as she looked forward at Natsu fighting. "But as his girlfriend, I shouldn't see him get hurt. I need to protect my man, no matter the cost!"

Cana's and Mirajane's eyes widened at that sudden confession, but they smiled smugly at each other. 'Seems like Red's found her man...'

Luckily enough for Erza, Laxus struck Gray and Natsu on the head with lighting-coated fists, making both boys fall to the ground as they groaned. He then picked them up as their eyes spun from fatigue. "That's enough, you damn brats! Do you both have to fight each other every time you see one another?"

"I-It's not my fault..." Natsu answered tiredly. "He started it..."

"H-He's my rival... I have to prove I'm better..." Gray answered as confidently as he could despite nearly falling asleep.

Laxus sighed while shaking his head before dropping the two boys; Erza quickly caught Natsu while Gray groaned as he landed on the floor. "Control your little Dragon, would you, Erza? I won't always be around to knock some sense into him."

"Fair enough; I suppose you're right, Laxus. I do need to make sure Natsu never leaves my sight." Erza answered honestly while affectionately and tightly squeezing Natsu's nearly unconscious body.

Laxus chuckled while crossing his arms. "Anyways, Gramps wants to talk with you. He's in his office."

"I see, well, let's go, Natsu." As Erza began dragging the Heavenly Fire Dragonslayer, she stopped as she felt Natsu fight her pulling, causing her to look back confused. "What's wrong, Natsu?"

Natsu tilted his head while raising an eyebrow. "I don't see why I need to go too. I'm sure it's private, and the big information comes from Gramps. I'll wait here and! AH! ERZA!" He blushed heavily as Erza pulled him close, her face inches from his as she hugged him.

"But you're my partner and the closest person to me, so you would have to listen to everything regarding me; you have to ensure that I'm safe, right?" Erza pouted cutely as she looked into Natsu's olive-green eyes.

"I... I guess you're right..." Natsu looked away sheepishly. Erza smiled happily while making Natsu rest his head on her chest plate. After snuggling him into her, Erza then stood and pulled the blushing Dragonslayer into the Guild Master's office, making everyone who saw the cute display think unanimously:

'They're definitively dating...'

...

"I'm sorry, my dear, but what did you say?" Makarov and Natsu stared at the redhead in disbelief, astonished by the previous statement.

"I said I'm not attending the S Class Trials this year," Erza spoke truthfully as she sat up in her chair, crossing her arms. "I stand by what I said. I can't anyway."

Natsu stood next to Makarov and stared at the redhead; his eyes widened and confused. "What do you mean you're not going to attend?! What's stopping you?!"

Erza frowned as she stood while holding Natsu's hands. "Because I'd be going without you, it wouldn't be fair to you! We're not only partners but friends! Closer than friends! To advance past you... It wouldn't be right, I... I can't do that to you." The redhead looked at Natsu passionately as she stared into his eyes, making him stand back, shocked by her response.

"No... You need to! Not for my sake, but for you!"

Erza closed her eyes and shook her head. "No, Natsu! I want us to be together! I'd be leaving you behind! Why would I do that to you?"

Natsu opened his mouth and then closed it as he looked down. He then looked up with determination at Erza and then Master Makarov. "Gramps, can I talk to Erza alone? Just for a bit?"

Makarov raised an eyebrow but nodded. "I suppose?"

"We'll be back! Come on, Erza!" Natsu then pulled the redhead out of the office and Fairy Tail, making her look at him with confused, wide eyes.

"Natsu! Wait! Where are we going?" Erza yelled while being pulled out of Magnolia.

"Our secret spot!" Natsu answered back while running with Erza, and as they sped through the forests, they stopped in a forest clearing that held a lake to its side. As Natsu stopped running and stood in the clearing, he slowed his panting to normal breathing before turning to look at Erza. "Erza, I want you to go on the S Class Trials."

Erza furrowed her brow as she shook her head. "I told you that I'm not going without you! I need to stay together with you! What if something happens while I'm away?" She stopped rambling as Natsu tenderly held her cheek.

"But having you not become stronger and better would only hurt you," Natsu spoke tenderly while caressing Erza's cheek. He chuckled as he saw Erza hold his hand and melt into his warm touch. "I want you to S Class because you're strong, and I wholly believe you deserve it! Erza, you'd make an incredible S-Class Wizard. Think of all the cool things you'll be able to do! Cool missions! Bigger pay! And you'd be one of the best in Fairy Tail!"

"But Natsu! I'd be leaving you behind!"

"No, you'd be giving me a challenge." Natsu smiled proudly. "If I'm going to be the boyfriend of the great Titania, I need to show her that I'm strong enough to protect her and all her friends. I especially don't want Titania to become weak because I held her back! So, even if you become S-Class before me, I promise that it won't deter me from you. It'll make me want to work harder to become your equal!" Natsu blushed slightly as he looked away and held Erza's hands. "I... I have a promise to you if you become S-Class..."

Erza held Natsu's hands firmly as excitement began to build in her. "What is it?!"

"If... If you become S-Class, t-then when I become S-Class, I'll marry you... How about that?" As Natsu meekly uttered that statement, his eyes widened, and he jumped as he saw Erza's eyes sparkle with determination.

"You'd make me your wife, Natsu?!"

"That is what marrying someone is, right?!" He exclaimed while his face was flushed crimson. "B-Besides, you're the only girl I love... I don't feel that anyone else would be a good fit. I love how you're not only beautiful, but you're also very kind. You've been with me since I first joined Fairy Tail, so it's only fitting that I support you in this. This makes me determined to get stronger, not only to protect but also to prove I'm equal! I promise I'll get strong and stay true to you, Erza!" Natsu smiled warmly and toothily at the redhead.

After hearing those words and that smile she cherished most, Erza's eyes shone while her heart swelled. "NATSU~! You're so sweet~!" She shouted before swiftly snatching the Dragonslayer's lips with hers, making Natsu stare in surprise as she passionately kissed him.

While in a daze, Natsu slowly needed air as the redhead as the redhead hugged him tightly as their mouths connected. Despite Natsu pulling away to breathe, the redhead snatched his lips again and kissed him passionately once more. "Er... Erza! W-Wait! AH!" Suddenly, they both fell as Erza kissed Natsu's face and neck.

"No..." Erza groaned out while kissing Natsu. "We need to consummate our marriage..."

"WE'RE NOT EVEN MARRIED!" Natsu shouted as he finally snaked out of Erza's hold, causing the redhead to pout while Natsu blushed heavily. "And we're not engaged! I said that after we both become S-Class, I'll marry you! We're too young for that now!" Natsu grumbled while hiding his blushing face in his white muffler.

Even though Erza loved seeing her beloved boyfriend acting cute, she pouted as she reached out her hand to Natsu."But my answer's not going to change! Of course, I'm going to marry you! I love you and only you, Natsu!"

"I know! But I want to ensure we have the best wedding possible! So, it'll be the best day for you! I want to give some nice memories before we do that. It'll make it better in the long run, right?" Natsu chuckled before smiling proudly as he stared at Erza's astonished eyes. "I'm going to want to make better memories when we are finally married!"

Erza hummed happily before snatching Natsu's lips again, assaulting his mouth, face, and neck with love-filled kisses, making the Dragonslayer blush heavily.

"ERZMMPHA!" Despite the Dragonslayer attempting to push the redhead off him, he failed as Erza's newfound strength kept him on the ground while she kissed him. Internally, Natsu cursed himself for talking to the redhead so sweetly. He had hoped the redhead would joke at his proposal, but he momentarily forgot that his beloved redhead wanted him and him alone. With the promise of marriage, Natsu knew Erza would never let him go.

And there would be days where he's getting punished with passionate makeout sessions such as these, with nearly nothing being able to pry the affectionate redhead off of him.

...

The large wooden doors of the Fairy Tail swung open to reveal a proudly smiling Erza and a blushing Natsu whose sweater got ruffled. "Master Makarov! I will accept your offer of S-Class!"

The elderly Guild Master nodded his head while looking surprised. "That's great, my dear. Mind if I ask why you changed your mind?"

Erza chuckled. "Well, I suppose you have Natsu to blame for that. He helped me to understand that I would be of better assistance to everyone here if I did and that I may be talented. But more importantly, I'd become the wife of the man I love most, so of course I'd do so." She then turned her head to smile dreamily at the blushing Dragonslayer.

Everyone's eyes widened to the size of dinner plates as they gingerly turned their heads toward Natsu, none more so than Master Makarov as the white hair on his head popped and disintegrated. "I see... Well, my boy... You'd be the best person I've heard in a long, long time to be married by the age of 13..."

Natsu shook his head while his face was flushed. "WE'RE NOT GETTING MARRIED YET! There are levels! Erza has to become S-Class first; then I'll marry her after I become S-Class! It's not like I will be S-Class next year, right, Gramps?"

Makarov sighed in relief before nodding his head. "You're right, my boy. But aren't you a tad bit embarrassed that your girlfriend is advancing past you? Lots of boys your age would..." He asked cautiously but raised an eyebrow as he saw Natsu shake his head before smiling.

"Not at all, Gramps! This proves that Erza's a beauty and a capable Wizard! I want her to be the best person she can so that I can become the best person I can be for her. Marrying her without doing that would be a waste, right?"

Makarov smiled proudly. "Indeed it would." He turned his head toward Erza, Laxus, and Mira. "Well then, Erza, Laxus, and Mirajane, you will leave for Tenrou Island at sunrise. Do I hear any complaints?"

"None from me!" Mirajane chirped happily as she stood in front of her two younger siblings.

"Heh, now I get a chance to fight Gildarts...!" Laxus chuckled as lighting trickled from his shoulders as he crossed his arms.

"I have none as well." Erza nodded and smiled confidently.

"Good, I have faith that the three of you will pass with flying colors! As long as you believe in yourselves, there's nothing you can't accomplish!" Makarov exclaimed proudly while pointing his finger toward the sky, causing the rest of Fairy Tail to cheer and smile while congratulating the three young Wizards. As everyone encouraged Erza, Laxus, and Mira, Natsu snuck past and sat down in a booth, sighing in relief before raising an eyebrow as he saw Gray and Elfman staring at him intently.

"What's up with you two?"

The dark-skinned boy with the bowl cut of white hair looked at Natsu curiously, holding his hands near his mouth. "... You became a man, didn't you?"

Natsu blushed heavily. "NO, I DID NOT! E-Erza punished me by kissing me. That is all!"

"You two must be one kinky couple to use kisses as punishment." Gray chuckled as he smirked at Natsu's blushing face. "Makes me wonder what other freaky stuff you two do at home~."

"Y-You...! THAT'S IT!" Natsu lit his hands ablaze as he jumped toward Gray and Elfman. "I'M GONNA BEAT YOU BOTH!" However, his scarlet girlfriend swiftly grabbed and hugged him before he could. "WHAT THE?! Let me go, Erza! I need to protect my honor!"

"But after tomorrow, I won't see you for one week, so I need as much time with you tonight!" She then zoomed out of the guild while pulling the blushing Dragonslayer. Mirajane walked over to Gray and smiled coyly at him as they left sight. "Finally figured out that teasing him is way more fun than fighting him, huh, Gray~?"

Gray chuckled as he lay back in his seat and smirked. "I gotta hand it to you, Mira. You were right, and this keeps Erza off of our backs!"

"DAMN STRAIGHT!" Everyone agreed before laughing. They were all happy that the stern redhead finally found someone to give and receive love and affection. They were thankful that the rambunctious Dragonslayer managed to break away at the Knight's armored heart and happy they could tease the young boy. Not only did he make it fun, but he was also truthful about his feelings for Erza. And that he would do any and everything in his power to make sure she was happy, even if it meant embarrassing himself.

"You proposed to her?!" Lucy sat up with comprehensive, shock-filled eyes. "You must truly love her! Is she that beautiful?!"

"She is, but that doesn't have to do with it!" Natsu exclaimed while blushing. He then looked away sheepishly while rubbing his neck. "In all honesty, I didn't think she would agree! I thought she would laugh it off and thank me for trying to make her laugh, so it surprised me when she said yes! But I guess I shouldn't be..." Natsu chuckled before looking at the scenery passing by. "Ever since I first walked through Fairy Tail's doors, we've been together. First, she taught language lessons, then sparring, then missions, and then it would be just us spending time with each other regardless of where we are. The guild, the forest, Magnolia. I slowly admired her genuine, kind soul and borderline possessive but cute affection. She became someone I could trust with my feelings and then became someone I could only see myself loving. So, in a way, I was happy she agreed, and when she agreed, I made it a mission in my head to protect her and give her a reason to smile. If I'm going to be her husband, it's not something I want to do. It's something I need to do."

Lucy's eyes widened before she rested her smugly smiling face in her hands. "You truly love her, don't you?"

"S-Shut up, would you? Everyone in Fairy Tail already tells me that. I know I do." Natsu raised his head as the train stopped, which caused Happy to wake up. "Speaking of which, we've made it to Magnolia. Next stop, Fairy Tail!" Natsu exclaimed as he grabbed his bag and walked off the train, following Happy and leading Lucy.

As the trio made their way through Magnolia, Lucy couldn't help but ask: "Tell me, what's Fairy Tail like?"

Happy pressed a paw into his furry chin as he thought of words. "Loud. Crazy. Destructive."

"DESTRUCTIVE?!" Lucy shrieked and flinched.

"It's all in good fun, though. No need to worry." Natsu chuckled while walking. "Like I said, we're all one big family, so it's like siblings play-fighting. It's plenty of fun!" Happy stopped flying, and Natsu stopped walking as they stood before the Fairy Tail Guild. Lucy gasped as her eyes sparkled, taking in the sight before her. "Well, there's no time like the present, so let's head in!" As Natsu swung open the large wooden doors, he shouted happily:

"WE'RE BACK, GUYS!"

Every guild member turned their head toward the doors and smiled just as happily as the Dragonslayer, many cheering and raising their drinks as they saw Natsu. One member raised an eyebrow as he pointed toward Lucy. "Hey, Natsu! Who's that with you? A reporter from Sorceror Weekly?"

"Nah, this is Lucy. She's a recruit looking to join Fairy Tail!"

"Is that right...?" Natsu smirked as he saw a tall, brown-skinned man with wild white hair stand up and smile excitedly. "Well, there's no better way of showing a recruit what it's like being a Fairy Tail Wizard other than a good old-fashioned PARTY BRAWL!" Elfman shouted excitedly and was followed by every other member's agreement before, soon enough, punches and kicks were thrown, causing the guild to be filled with these passionate brawls. Quickly destroying booths and tables as members were thrown and crashed into them, causing Lucy to smile awkwardly at the fights.

'IN WHAT WAY IS THIS LIKE A SIBLING FIGHT?!' She thought frantically while dodging thrown chairs, tables, and booths. Lucy nearly dodged a young man with raven black hair, but as she was about to help her up, her eyes widened to the size of dinner plates as she realized the man was naked. "OH MY GOSH! WHERE ARE YOUR CLOTHES?!"

"AH! Shit! Damn, they must have gotten lost!" He smacked his forehead as he groaned before turning his head toward Lucy, who was failing to cover her eyes. "Hey, Lucy, right? Mind if I borrow your panties for a bit?"

Lucy blushed heavily before punching Gray, sending him flying into a group of three sparring Wizards. "AS IF!" Lucy then crawled toward the guild bar and sighed because even though a brunette woman might be wearing a bikini top and drinking a massive wine barrel, she saw a familiar face: Mirajane Strauss from Sorceror Weekly! "Mirajane, please..." She whimpered out. "Tell this doesn't happen every day..."

"Sorry to tell you, blondie, but you're in for a wild ride with us." The brunette chuckled before downing the wine barrel.

"Well, I'm sorry, but Cana's right, Lucy. Every day in Fairy Tail is an adventure; you'll learn to enjoy the fun! It's not as bad as you think!" Suddenly, four members crashed into Mira and the guild bar, destroying all the bottles and glasses. Mira smiled sweetly on the bottom of the body pile as the dust settled, but a large bruise swelled on her head. "I promise it's not as bad as it looks..." She chuckled before passing out with a white soul that looked like her ghost seeped out of her mouth.

"MIRAJANE?!" Lucy shrieked while crying comically. Elfman gritted his teeth and flexed so powerfully that his muscles ripped his shirt off his chest, exposing his large, toned muscles to everyone.

"Which one of you punks harmed my sister?! It's time you punks learn what a real man is!"

Cana groaned as she held her forehead. "Dumbass! They were flying because of you! That's it! You guys killed my buzz! I'm joining in!" She then slid her hands into her pockets and pulled out magically charged tarot cards before jumping into the Party Brawl.

"Isn't this funny, Lucy?" Happy smiled as he hovered above the blonde, hiding until a booth.

"In what way is this fun, Happy?! Everyone's going nuts!"

Happy tilted his head but still smiled. "But that's what makes it fun! Because it's crazy and wild! You won't get it anywhere else!" Happy giggled as he saw Lucy weep comically.

"Yeah... Nowhere else..."

After sending three Wizards flying into two booths, causing them to break and fall, Natsu jumped into the air with flaming fists. "HEAVENLY FIRE DRAGON'S! AH!" Before Natsu could finish his attack, he was pressed onto the hardwood floor as a giant oni-like being stood over him, making everyone in the guild stop fighting and stare at the giant.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?! YOU ALL ARE FIGHTING THIS EARLY IN THE DAY!" After looking at everyone sternly, the giant raised an eyebrow when he saw Lucy staring at him. "AND WHO IS THIS? WHAT BUSINESS DO YOU HAVE WITH US?"

Despite her legs shaking in fear, Lucy tried her best to smile. "I-I'm Lucy Heartfilia, and I-I'm looking to become a Fairy Tail Wizard, sir. Master. Grandmaster. Please, don't eat me..."

"OH, IS THAT ALL? WELL, THEN..." The giant shrank down to an elderly man with a thick mustache in an orange and blue outfit and a matching double-pointed hat. The elderly man bowed before extending his open palm to the blonde woman. "Welcome to the Fairy Tail Guild! I'm the Master of these parts, so feel free to call me Master Makarov!"

"YOU'RE TINY!" Lucy's eyes bulged as she shrieked, making the guild members laugh at her reaction. "I'M SORRY!" She then bowed before Makarov, who just laughed.

"Mirajane, if you would. Please."

"Of course, Master." Mirajane stood next to Lucy with the Guild Stamper, and after the Guild mark was set on Lucy's hand, a pink Fairy Tail emblem was left on the blonde. "Welcome to Fairy Tail, Lucy!" Mirajane smiled warmly, causing Lucy to smile and cheer like the other members.

"Now that that's settled..." Makarov jumped onto the balcony before his office as his hand smacked an extensive collection of papers. "What the hell is with all of these complaints from the Magic Council?! This is the most immense pile I've seen in a month! Can't you lot do things without destroying them?!" All members looked away from the Guild Master, almost ashamed, but their gazes focused on him as they heard chuckling. As the elderly man's mustache grew with his determined smile, he looked up at his children proudly. "Of course not, not doing things safe or by the book isn't what a Fairy Tail Wizard does. We don't listen to what the Magic Council says." He then lit the papers ablaze and threw them for Natsu to eat. "Magic is a talent and is only made possible when the energy outside and inside of us work in perfect unison. Don't let the blowhards on the Magic Council tell you what to do! Follow the path you believe in, and your Magic will always progress because that's being a Fairy Tail Wizard, number one!" Makarov exclaimed as he pointed his finger toward the sky.

"AYE, SIR!" All members cheered, pointed their fingers to the sky, and began cheering and laughing again.

"Groaph..." A massive, bulky reptilian beast with six legs and a large, thick ivory horn growled and stomped its heavy feet before a beautiful redhead woman adorned in boots, a blue skirt, and an armor breastplate that covered her middle section. "GROAHH!" The beast then roared as it began charging toward the redhead, who smirked and summoned two swords for each hand.

"A Mountainous Gilasaur... Seems easy enough!" Erza dashed toward the gigantic lizard, craftily dodging each slash from its sharp and each bite attempt. As she dodged, she slashed across the beast's body but only left surface-level cuts on the Gilasaur's thick hide. As Erza landed on its right side, she was sent stumbling back as the reptile smacked her with its massive, meaty tail.

However, Erza summoned a large shield, deafening the impact of the blow. This caused the beast to get angrier, and it let out thick saliva as it barred its long, sharp fangs. "GAORAHH!" As the rage-filled beast charged toward Erza, she dodged its attack again and launched herself off its dark, murky swamp, swamp-green head.

While jumping backward, Erza's body shimmered in a bright yellow light. "REQUIP! HEAVEN'S WHEEL!" As the light settled, Erza was flying due to the armor's wings made from swords. With a sword in each hand, Erza opened her arms, signaling seven swords to circle her. "Dance, my swords!" Suddenly, the swords flew toward the beast, seemingly erratically but strong enough to leave deeper cuts on it, causing it to groan in pain.

As the beast stumbled back, it reared itself on its hind legs and attempted to grab the flying redhead, but Erza swiftly dodged its attempt. As she flew around, her swords formed a circle around the Gilsaur.

"CIRCLE SWORD!" After Erza shouted, the blades spun and cut the beast in an instant, making it fall and groan as it took its final breath. As the Mountainous Gilasaur lay on the ground, no longer alive and harming the townsfolk of this mountain range, Erza got back into her usual outfit and looked toward the cloud-scattered blue sky. 'Of course, I knew the job would be easy, but I still wanted Natsu to come. But,' The redhead smiled as her thoughts filled with a salmon-haired Dragonslayer. 'This means I'll finally get to see him again and so soon! I can hardly keep my excitement in. What should I bring to him? It should be something grand like a sword! No, it has to be a gift! But what kind of gift would be grandier than a sword-?' Erza stopped rambling as she approached the large, thick horn before her. She stared at it for a few moments before nodding her head and smiling. "This horn will do perfectly... The village people said they would break down the Gilasaur's corpse for a celebratory dinner, so I'm sure they won't mind if I take this horn."

Nodding to herself, Erza slid her hands under the beast's body and lifted them over her head before walking back down the rocky mountain path to the village. She smiled excitedly while carrying the giant corpse because it was nearly time to see her beloved Natsu again. She noted to herself that Natsu would go along with her for the next job she took.

Not seeing Natsu for two weeks tortured Erza because she loved going on missions with Natsu and needed to see her Dragon Prince. Erza didn't want to, but she followed Natsu's request.

So, she would do nothing but shower Natsu with love and affection. But only after getting punish-kissed for even thinking of the idea.

After thinking of how cute he would act, Erza brushed her lips with her armored hand before smiling excitedly. "I'll be home soon, Natsu...~"
