Sorry for the long wait.
I have just started a new job and am still getting used to the longer hours.
I have the 3rd year planned out, and I can't wait to write an original year.

Jasmine let out a groan as she slowly sat up in bed. With a yawn, she looked over to the clock on the bedside table. Seeing that it was still very early in the morning, Jasmine felt like collapsing back into her bed.

With great effort, Jasmine rolled out of bed, sleepily made her way into the bathroom, turned the shower on, and cranked the hot water to the max.

Nothing beats a hot shower in the morning. Jasmine thought to herself as she removed her clothing and stepped under the soothing hot water. In a sloth-like manner, Jasmine grabbed the shampoo and began washing her hair.

After her shower, Jasmine got dressed in a set of comfy clothing and made her way into the living room.

"Morning," Sirius greeted.

"Morning," Jasmine replied as she took a seat.

"You ready to leave this dump?" Sirius asked.

"Hey, it's your tent," Jasmine joked.

Sirius left out a gruff. "I am talking about your aunt and uncles," Sirius clarified.

Jasmine frowned before her mind caught up with what day it was. Her mandatory two weeks with her aunt and uncles were finally over, and they could spend the rest of the summer at her family manor.

Jasmine couldn't help but get excited at the thought of her family manor. It was where her dad would have grown up and where her parents would have lived before they went into hiding.

"When can we go?" Jasmine asked excitedly.

"As soon as you're done with breakfast," Sirius said.

Jasmine wasted no time poring herself a bow of cereal and started wolfing it down. It only took Jasmine a few minutes to finish the bowl.

"Right, can we go then?" Jasmine asked.

"Sure, I need to pack the tent away, though," Sirius said as he vanished the plates and bowls on the table with a flick of his wand.

"Is Hedwig out delivering letters?" Sirius asked before Jasmine could rush out of the tent.

"Yep, I sent her to Hermione a few days ago. She is in France for the first two weeks of summer, so I sent her to ask if she wanted to visit when she gets back to the UK," Jasmine said.

"Good, it's dangerous to leave living things in a magic tent when packed away," Sirius said as they both left the tent and stepped back into Jasmine's room.

With a few swishes of Sirius's wand, the tent deflated and then folded in on itself till it was nothing more than a small rectangle.

"It would be rude of us not to say goodbye to your aunt and uncle," Sirius said with a dark smile on his face.

They hadn't ventured out of the tent very much over the two weeks they had spent with her aunt and uncle. However, every time they had, her aunt and uncle had always ended up angry and frustrated.

As for Dudley, he had spent most nights at his friend's houses to avoid Sirius, no doubt worried about getting another pigtail. Personally, Jasmine thought he would look better with a pigtail or snout.

Jasmine smiled. "Yes, I'm sure they would be distraught if we just went missing."

"Ah, is it breakfast time," Sirius said cheerfully as they walked into the kitchen.

Both her aunt and uncle flinched at Sirius's voice, and Dudley jumped into the air and landed back on the chair that broke under his weight. Jasmine let out a small laugh, getting a glare from her aunt.

"We thought it would be rude to leave without saying goodbye to such amazing hosts," Sirius said, dripping with sarcasm.

"Just get lost already," Uncle Vernon said angrily.

"Well, I will be out of your hair in a moment. Do enjoy the rest of your summer," Sirius said with a giant grin on his face, making her aunt and uncle shiver and look around worriedly.

Jasmine put a large smile on her face and gave them a quick wink.

With the seeds planted, Sirius placed a hand on Jasmine's shoulder. With a loud crack that made everyone in the room jump, Sirius and Jasmine vanished.

Jasmine felt herself being compressed from all sides as she tried in vain to try and take a breath of air. After what felt like a lifetime, Jasmine was finally able to gulp fresh air.

"At least give me some notification before you do that," Jasmine said, annoyed.

Whipping the tears out of her eyes, Jasmine looked around and was gob-smacked at the sight. In front of her was an enormous manor sitting on a beautiful piece of land.

"Doesn't look bad, does it," Sirius said with pride in his voice.

"You sure it was 'run down'?" Jasmine asked, not believing it could have possibly been in disrepair before.

"Yep, but it wasn't that bad, to be honest. Sure, there was some damage to the manor, but that was easy to fix. The grounds, however, needed a lot of work to get back to how it used to be. And it's still missing all the flowers your mom had planted."

The manor had a timeless grace to it, with its ivy-covered stone walls weathered by years of history and its towering spires. A long, winding driveway lined with ancient elder trees led visitors through the scenic landscape to the front gates of the estate.

"Well, ladies first?" Sirius said with a mock bow.

"Oh, so you want to go first?" Jasmine asked with fake surprise as she began walking up the driveway.

As she approached the front door, Jasmine could hardly believe that she owned a manor. A grand wooden door studded with iron, which she opened into a spacious foyer.

The polished marble floor reflected the soft glow of chandeliers suspended from the ceiling, casting a warm ambience throughout the hallways. Lining the room was antique furniture, which must have been passed down through generations of the Potter family.

For a moment, Jasmine could not help but feel like she had stepped into home.

"What, you think I had it restored to how it was," Sirius asked as he stepped inside, sounding nostalgic.

"It's beautiful."

"Well, go on explore," Sirius said with some amusement.

Jasmine didn't need any more encouragement. She quickly made her way into the manor, looking around cautiously as she did so. The walls, thankfully, weren't covered in paintings. There was the odd one here and there, with some being magical and others being non-magical.

Jasmine spun around, picked up the first door that she saw, and ventured down its staircase. At the bottom was a heavy-looking door that swung open easily.

The room was large, and the walls were covered in shelves. In the middle of the room was a large table with several cauldrons.

It was easy to see that the room was a potions lab. Something that wasn't a surprise to Jasmine as she had learned about the Potter family from Daphne, including that her grandfather had made Sleekeazy's Hair Potion.

So, it made sense that they had a potions lab. In fact, maybe all of the pure-blood families had potion labs in their houses for them to teach their kids and to brew simple potions.

Walking over to the shelves, Jasmine inspected the ingredients and was surprised to see that they seemed to have every ingredient she had ever used and even more she hadn't seen or heard of before.

Maybe Hermione or Daphne would be able to tell her what they were used for.

"Ahh, a visitor, welcome", A voice said from behind her, making Jasmine jump and turn around, drawing her wand as she did so.

However, the room was still empty. Jasmine looked around, confused and alert.

"Up here, my dear," the voice said, and this time, Jasmine realised it was coming from above her. Looking up, Jasmine realised the roof was a large dome, and it seemed to be a painting.

Jasmine was surprised as she had thought that the magic paintings had to be portraits.

"Err, hi?" Jasmine said, looking up at the painting.

The man in the painting looked in his late 60s, with salt and pepper hair. He was clean-shaven, wearing glasses and a casual suit, looking like a professor she would expect to see at a university.

Jasmine felt like she had seen him somewhere before. Maybe a history book?

"You must be Jasmine, right?" the man asked, breaking Jasmine out of her thoughts.

"Yes, err.. could I ask who you are?" Jasmine asked awkwardly.

"I am Fleamont Potter, your grandfather," the man introduced himself with a warm smile.

Jasmine's eyes widened for a moment. The Mirror of Erised must have been where she had seen him before. However, she never had a name for the people she had seen in the mirror besides her mother and father.

"It's nice to meet your grandfather," Jasmine said, feeling embarrassed that she hadn't ever seen a picture of him. Daphne had, however, told her his and her grandmother's names, but she also didn't have any pictures of them.

"I see you are looking around the potions lab. Do you like potions?" Fleamont asked, sounding hopeful.

"I don't hate it, but my teacher at Hogwarts hates me, which makes it hard for me to like the subject," Jasmine said as she looked over at the bookcase of potions books.

"Are all the potion books down here?" Jasmine asked.

"Hmm, no, these are just copies. The real ones are kept in the main library. Most of those books are either my notes or from past family members. Though a few are from your mother as well. She was very good at making potions."

"So I have been told," Jasmine said absentmindedly. "I guess I will see you around. I still have much more to explore," Jasmine said, looking up at her grandfather.

"Okay, your grandmother tends to spend her time either in the library or out on the balcony," Fleamont said as Jasmine walked back to the door.

"Okay, I will keep an eye out for her," Jasmine said before she walked back up to the first floor. Jasmine continued her exploring, ignoring the kitchen and the dining room as they were not very different from normal kitchens and dining rooms.

Other than being much bigger and with a far nicer table made from some black wood that Jasmine couldn't identify. The walls of the dinner room had several portraits on the wall, but most of them were empty, and the ones that had people in them were sleeping.

Jasmine checked some of the names and wasn't surprised to see they were all members of the Potter family. She would have to make some time to talk to them and learn more about her family history.

As she explored the ground floor, Jasmine came across a large wooden door that reminded her of the great hall entrance. Pushing the door open revealed a massive library.

It seemed to be modelled after the Hogwarts library but on a smaller scale, with only one floor instead of the two floors that Hogwarts had, and the room itself was much smaller.

Jasmine walked down some of the isles and was happy to see that each of the sections of the library was labelled one for charms, one for potions, one for DADA and so on. Jasmine checked out the charms section and was surprised to see it was broken down by year.

Jasmine checked out some of the books in the 3rd year section and was happy to see that she hadn't done any of the charms that were listed in the book.

Slipping the book back onto the shelf, Jasmine went to look at some of the other books in the library. To her surprise, there was an extensive section for the Dark Arts at the back of the library.

"Surprised, I see," A female voice said, making Jasmine jump again.

Jasmine was beginning to think that the portraits in this manor enjoyed scaring her. Maybe it was due to no one living in the manor for the past decade.

"Hello," Jasmine said as she turned to face the voice.

Behind her was a large portrait in its own little library. The older woman was sitting in a high-back chair with a book. The woman had long blond hair that reminded Jasmine of Malfoy, but she had a kind and welcoming smile, unlike the Malfoys.

"Grandmother?" Jasmine half asked and half assumed.

"Correct, you were curious about the large dark arts section?"

"Just surprised I didn't expect to find the dark arts in the library," Jasmine said as she shifted her feet awkwardly.

"Hmm, well, why do you think we have books on the Dark Arts?" Euphemia asked.

Jasmine was caught off guard by the question as she hadn't expected her grandmother to ask her thoughts on it.

"To defend against it?" Jasmine asked.

"That's not a bad answer. You are right. You can't defend yourself against what you don't know. Can you think of any other reason?"

Jasmine frowned as she tried to think of another reason to learn about the Dark Arts. The only other reason Jasmine could think of was to use the Dark Arts, but she almost instinctively pushed that idea out of her thoughts.

"No, I can't, grandmother," Jasmine said quietly.

"Hmmm..." Euphemia said, making Jasmine feel as if she hadn't lived up to her grandmother's expectations.

"To use, of course. When you are fighting with your life on the line, only a fool would limit the magic they would use while in a fight," Euphemia said.

"But to use the Dark Arts?" Jasmine asked, shocked.

"Magic is magic. It's how and when you use it that matters. Of course, some magics shouldn't ever be used, like the creation of Infri," Euphemia explained.

Jasmine looked around, feeling unsure.

"I am not saying that you should be using the killing curse or anything like that. But let's say you are fighting three or four dark wizards. If you limit yourself to using disarming charms and stunning charms.

"Then you are going to lose that fight very quickly," Euphemia said, offering an example.

Jasmine frowned as she thought about what her grandmother was saying. If she was being attacked by three or four death eaters, did it make sense for her to try and disarm them or stun them?

"However, most witches or wizards don't know much, if any, healing magic, so using a bone-breaking curse or a powerful cutting charm could be the difference between living and dying."

Jasmine swallowed nervously as she couldn't think of anything wrong with her grandmother's logic. The sight of Voldemort with broken arms popped into her mind. It brought a feeling of dark satisfaction that Jasmine found a little worrying.

"Anyway, we have books on every subject, though it's not as good as the Hogwarts library, of course. It's a shame that it hasn't been updated since James and Lily passed away."

"I can add my old books, and I'm sure my friend would be more than happy to suggest some more," Jasmine offered, happy to no longer be talking about the Dark Arts and away from her darker thoughts.

"That would be nice. I have read every book in this library at least five times; some new ones would be good."

"Wait, so if a book is added to the library, you can read it as well?" Jasmine asked, surprised, as she hadn't ever heard of anything like that before.

"Yep, otherwise, I could only imagine how bored I would have gotten in the last 15 years. Well, go explore. Maybe try the 2nd floor and try to find the master bedroom?" Grandmother suggested.

"Yes, I guess I should see what my room looks like for when I want to design it. Two of my friends, Parvati and Lavender, would be disappointed if they didn't get to help,"

"Well, I would try the left wing of the manor if I were you," Euphemia hinted with a wink before she went back to reading her book.

Jasmine took one last look at the library, imagining how difficult it would be to get Hermione out of there once she found it. Padma may also join her.

Jasmine wasn't sure what Padma enjoyed doing, even though they were both Daphne's slaves. They hadn't spent more than a few nights together, unlike her sister, Parvati, with whom Jasmine had spent a lot of time.

Leaving the library, Jasmine made her way back to the entrance hall, which was now empty, and she looked around to see if Sirius was around.

With no guide, Jasmine ran up the stairs, took an immediate left as her grandmother suggested and opened the first door she came to. She was greeted with a large, open, duelling room with targets on the other side of the room.

Smiling, Jasmine closed the door and walked to the end of one of the duelling lanes. She flicked her wrist and grabbed her wand.

Jasmine quickly shot two banishing charms at the targets, sending them flying back into the wall. At least her dulling practice wouldn't be affected over the summer, which was good as she was sure Daphne would test her over the summer.

Putting her wand back into the holster, Jasmine left the duelling room and, walked down to the next door and stepped inside. This time, she was greeted with a large bathroom.

The floor was made from black tiles with floating candles for light, adding a nice atmosphere to the room. On one side of the room was a shower, and on the other, a large squire tub that looked like it could easily fit four people in.

Jasmine could almost imagine her and Parvati sharing a bath together after getting a shower. It had only been two weeks since summer had started, but she missed waking up and having a shower with someone.

With a sigh, Jasmine left the room. Jasmine wanted to use her mirror to call Daphne and let her know that she had moved into her new home. Maybe even invite her over.

Jasmine hadn't gone more than a few days without seeing Daphne, and talking in the mirror wasn't the same as being cuddled in bed together.

They had set up a time each day to call later before they went to sleep. With her at her aunts and uncles, it was the closest they could get to sleeping together.

Walking down the rest of the hallway, none of the doors she walked past grabbed Jasmine's attention.

It wasn't till Jasmine got to the end of the corridor and next to the large window at the end that looked out onto the manor ground that Jasmine noticed a more intricate and eye-catching door.

It was made from black and white wood that seemed to have grown twisted together. Two family crests were engraved into the wood on each side of the door.

On one side was a large shield with a knight's helmet resting on the shield. Behind the shield were what were clearly two wands, and vines grew out of the tips of the wands to wrap around the shield.

Below that, there were three Latin words: 'Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat.'

If Jasmine's translation was correct, it meant something like 'fortune favours the bold' or maybe 'Fortune will come to the bold.'

She would have to ask Hermione for clarification. Even if spells were in Latin, that didn't mean most wizards knew Latin other than the spells they had learned.

On the other side of the door was a large shield with a triangle with a circle in the middle and a wand splitting both down the middle engraved on it.

Below the shield was the words 'Novissima autem inimica destruetur mors.'

Jasmine frowned at the Latin, having never encountered any of the words before, so she was unsure what they meant. The only word she did know was mors, which she was pretty sure meant death or dying.

Jasmine pushed the doors open and was surprised at how easily they opened without her needing much force. They were eerily silent as they swung open to reveal the largest room she had found on the 2nd floor.

The inside of the room was a little bare, with nothing more than a bed, a large white wardrobe and a dressing table. Jasmine spun around, inspecting the room before she froze.

Nothing could have prepared her for the sight that she was seeing. On a large portrait on the wall were her parents, who were going at each other like rabbits. The sounds of moans and groans drifted from the picture.

Jasmine stared in shock for what felt like an eternity. Part of her admired the woman in the portrait, whom she hoped to look like when she was a little older and fully grown.

Almost every part of her body seemed perfect, making Jasmine envious. She had long legs with large hips that led to a narrow waist. Her boobs were almost perfectly symmetrical and seemed to defy gravity while being a nice large size for her body.

And all that was topped off with brilliant copper-red hair that cascaded down her back. It took a few seconds of Jasmine admiring before she realised that it was her mom that she was admiring.

Her mom was clearly in the middle of having sex with her dad.

Jasmine gasped in shock before she turned around, her face bright red in embarrassment and a small amount of lust.

Jasmine heard screams of panic behind her before the room fell quiet.

"Jasmine, was it today you were moving in?" her mother's voice asked, sounding out of breath.

"Yes, how couldn't you know Grandmother and grandfather didn't seem surprised I was here. Now I need to go find a memory charm to remove what I just saw," Jasmine said, shaking her head.

"Those two are very nosey. They probably saw you enter the house and waited for you," Lily said.

"Are you dressed now?" Jasmine asked.

"I am. Your father will be back in a little bit," Lily said, sounding slightly embarrassed.

Jasmine took a peek towards the painting and was relieved to see that her mother was no longer naked and was wearing a dressing gown.

"Wow, look at you so grown up," Lily said, her voice a mix of pride and dismay.

"I'm only 13 m..mom," Jasmine said, stuttering over calling someone mom.

"Maybe, but compared to seeing you at 1 year old, you have grown up a lot."

Jasmine gave a small smile, unsure what she should say to comfort her mother, who had only seen her as a 1-year-old child. Maybe there was nothing that she could say.

"Ah, I see you have found the master bedroom," Sirius said as he walked into the room. "It's a little bare at the moment, but I thought you could redesign it yourself over the summer," Sirius said.

"Oi, you idiot, why didn't you tell us that you were moving in today," Lily shouted in a voice that made Jasmine want to prey on Sirius.

Sirius took a few steps back sheepishly. "I thought that it would be a good surprise,"

Jasmine saw Lily let out a huff, clearly angry that she was unable to come up with something to say about Sirius's surprise. After all, if she hadn't caught them having sex, then Sirius's surprise would have been a good one.

"Where is James?" Sirius asked, unknowingly stepping onto a landmine.

Jasmine blushed as the image of her mom and dad having sex flashed through her mind, and Lily glared at Sirius in a manner that proposed punishment.

It took a few seconds before Sirius caught on to what must have just happened and why Lily was wearing a dressing gown. Sirius let out a laugh that seemed to fill the entire manor.

"So help me, Sirius. I will find a way to curse you even as a painting," Lily shouted, clearly angry at Sirius's laugh.

Sirus fell silent, his face sheepish, but his smile remained. Jasmine was surprised at how domineering her mother was, and she vaguely remembered when Daphne had gotten angry.

There was an awkward cough as her father walked back into the portrait wearing shorts and a dressing gown. Jasmine was surprised at seeing her father.

The only pictures that she had of him were from school, but the man in the portrait was well-built with a lean body and well-defined muscles. It was easy to see they were natural, though Jasmine wondered if magic had some help.

His dressing gown was open and showed off his abs well, which were flat and had no fat on them at all. Finally was his the messy hair that every male potter seemed to have.

Overall, Jasmine had to admit that her dad was quite the hunk.

Jasmine was relieved that she had gotten her mother's hair, even if it was a darker shade.

"Prongs," Sirius shouted, his face lighting up and looking years younger.

Jasmine couldn't help but smile at seeing Sirius looking so much happier and less burdened.

"Come a bit close, Jasmine. Let us get a proper look," Lily said as she gave Sirius another glare.

Jasmine walked towards the portrait, feeling incredibly nervous. She couldn't help but worry that her parents would be disappointed with her.

"You look a lot like your mother, so any lucky boys at school," James asked with a roughish smile.

Jasmine felt her face growing red, and Sirius let out a laugh. "Boys," he said jokingly. Jasmine glared at Sirius, knowing he was hinting she was into girls.

"Never mind that. How do you like Hogwarts?" Lily asked excitedly.

Jasmine was relieved at the change in the subject. "I love it. There is nothing like the magical world. Though I am not sure if Diagon Alley or Hogwarts is better," Jasmine said excitedly.

"Have you sneaked out to Hogsmeade yet?" James asked, ignoring Lily's angry look.

"Err," Jasmine said awkwardly.

"Please don't tell me you are like the marauders," Lily sighed.

"No, I don't prank anyone, but I have sneaked out to Hogsmeade," Jasmine said quietly.

"Good," James said, and Jasmine heard a slap and Sirius laughing.

"I guess it could be worse. How are you doing grade-wise?" Lily asked, making Jasmine feel guilty that she hadn't done her hardest in the first two years.

"Err, I have done much better this year. I think we should be getting my end-of-year results sometime this week," Jasmine said.

"What about sports? Do you play Quidditch?" James asked excitedly.

"Yep, ever since my first year as a seeker," Jasmine replied.

"Since the first year?" James asked, laughing joyfully. "How did you manage that?"

"Err, during our first flying class, one of the students from Slytherin stole a remembrall, and when I tried to get it back, they threw it. I chased it down and caught it, and Mcgonogal saw it and invited me onto the team. She also bought me a Nimbus 2000."

"Oh, there are Nimbus 2000's now? We had the Comet 290s. So, do you have a favourite team?"

"No, not at the moment. I haven't even watched a professional quidditch game yet." Jasmine said a little wistful.

"You will next summer," Sirius said, grinning. "It's the World Quidditch Cup. I have already reserved tickets for us."

"What no fair, Sirius take my portait with you," James begged.

Before James could continue to beg to be taken to the World Cup, a tapping noise at the window caught Jasmine's attention. Expecting to see a tree branch, Jasmine was surprised to see an owl at the window.

An owl that she didn't recognise wasn't from Hogwarts or Daphne's owl. It was a mix of white and black, with the black being dots or stripes down its body. It had two black feather tufts on its head.

Walking to the large window, Jasmine opened it to let the owl in. The owl flew over to her bed and perched itself on the wooden frame.

"Do you recognise the owl?" Sirius asked.

"Nope, maybe it's one of my friends from school. It could have come from Hermione using the owl post?" Jasmine said, walking towards the owl.

"Stop!" Lily shouted, making Jasmine freeze. "Rule one: never take things from an owl you don't know with your bare hands it could be cursed," Lily warned.

Jasmine blushed as she realised her mom was right, and there were probably many people who would like to see Jasmine cursed. Jasmine pulled out her wand and used the levitation charm to lift the letter from the owl.

"I don't know any charms to tell if it's cursed," Jasmine said, looking over at Sirius.

"A real easy one is Revelio," Sirius said, waving his wand over the letter.

Jasmine waited, expecting to see something happen, but the letter just continued to float in the air. Jasmine looked back at Sirius, who waved his wand over the letter a few more times before nodding.

"It's curse and jinx-free," Sirius said.

Jasmine grabbed the letter and pulled it open, curious about who was writing to her.

"What's it say?" Sirius asked.

"It's from my friends at school. They want to invite me out for my birthday," Jasmine said, surprised.

She hadn't ever done anything for her birthday before. The Dursleys just ignored it, and last year, she spent the summer with them, so she couldn't meet any of her friends to do anything.

"Did they say when?"

"They wanted to do it sometime this week. I just need to send a letter saying when and the Floo address. Do we have a Floo address?"

"Of course we do. It's The Pottery. However, we have something to do first," Sirius said.

Jasmine gave Sirius a confused look.

"You need to be added to the ward book. I can use it at the moment due to being your godfather, but since this is your home, you need to be added."

"Ward book?" Jasmine asked, confused.

"Yep, wards are defensive magics placed on an area or building. Most wizarding homes have at least some basic wards, but a manor like this has much more advanced and powerful wards." Sirius said as he led Jasmine out of the bedroom.

"What type of wards are there?" Jasmine asked as she followed Sirius.

"Hmm, the basic ones are wards that hide the house's location, a ward to stop people from using the Floo, anti-apparition are also quite common as well."

"Do we have all of them?"

"Yes, and more during the war, the ward business was very busy. Thankfully, most of the wards on the house are still working." Sirius said as he led Jasmine into a basement.

The basement was quite dark, and the room and floor were made from a strange black glossy rock. Candles were the only lights in the room, and unlike the bathroom or the Great Hall at Hogwarts, none of these candles were floating in the air.

In the middle of the room, there was a pedestal with a large, antique-looking book. Around the floor, there was a circle that was glowing a faint white and had runes around its edges.

The room had a mystic feel to it and fit into the image that Jasmine had when she first learned about magic.

"Come on, let's add you to the ward book," Sirius said, walking over to the pedestal.

Jasmine followed as she inspected the runes on the floor. She had read a few books on runes back at Hogwarts. But she hadn't seen any of the runes that were glowing on the floor.

"Right, so you just need to write your name in the book," Sirius said, turning the book back to the first page.

At the top of the book, there was a black quill with red strips in the feathers with a sharp, shiny nib. Jasmine picked up the quill and looked around for some ink.

"This quill doesn't need ink. It's called a blood quill. It's only used for legal matters or when binding something to you, like a contract or ward book.

All of them should look like this: black with red stripes. If you ever see one, make sure you are meant to be using one. If you aren't signing a contract or adding yourself to a ward book, then something is wrong."

Jasmine gave a hesitant look at the quill and slowly wrote her name into the ward book, winching as she felt a scratching sensation on the back of her hand. Jasmine dropped the quill and rubbed the back of her hand the moment she finished writing her name.

"Always clean a blood quill after use. You don't want people to get ahold of your blood," Sirius said, tapping the quill with his wand.

"You should be able to feel the wards with your magic now," Sirius half said and half asked.

Jasmine focused on her magic and realised that Sirius was right. She could feel something extra, tethered or pulling on her magic. When she focused on that knowledge that she didn't have before, it dripped into her mind.

Jasmine realised that she knew all of the wards on the house if they were active and if any had been tripped. Feeling a little dizzy, Jasmine stumbled slightly as she shook her head.

"Right, I think I should reply to Padma, Parvati and Lavender," Jasmine said.

"If they are coming over, then remember to remove the ward on the Floo, or they will be in for a nasty surprise," Sirius warned.

Jasmine made her way back to the master bedroom. She was a little dismayed to see that her parents' portraits were empty. Thankfully, the owl was still there, waiting for her reply.

Jasmine walked over to a writing desk, pulled open the drawers, and was relieved to see that there was some parchment, an ink bottle, and a quill inside.

Grabbing a sheet, Jasmine quickly wrote a reply saying that tomorrow would be a good day and that she could show them around her new home. She added the Floo address to the bottom of the letter.

"Make sure you seal the letter. It's a good way to let people know if the letter has been intercepted," Euphemia said from behind her.

"Even to my friends?" Jasmine asked, as she hadn't ever bothered to seal any of her letters.

"Of course, you are more likely to write secrets to your friends."

"Can it really be intercepted that easily?" Jasmine asked before remembering that Dobby had managed to stop every letter she was meant to get.

"As long as someone is willing to put in the effort, then they can," Euphemia warned.

On the writing desk was a red and gold wax stick next to a candle and a signet stamp on the right with the Potter crest. Pulling out her wand, Jasmine lit the candle and slowly melted the wax before applying it to the letter.

After waiting a few seconds, Jasmine used the signet stamp to apply her house crest.

"Wait, wouldn't a repair charm fix the wax seal?" Jasmine asked.

"No, both the wax and the signet stamp are enchanted so that once the seal is broken, it can't be repaired," Euphemia said.

Jasmine nodded as she attacked the letter to the owl, who quickly took off and flew out of the window and into the distance.

"So when are your friends coming?" Sirius asked as they sat eating breakfast.

"In about an hour," Jasmine said, excitedly looking over towards the fireplace.

"Do you know where you are going for the day?"

"No, the letter was vague on purpose," Jasmine said, resisting the urge to pout.

"Well, enjoy your day. I am going to meet Madam Bones to talk about Peter," Sirius said with a dangerous gleam in his eye.

"I will do. I am not sure when I will be getting back. "Jasmine said unsurely.

"Just tell your friends that you must be back by 8 p.m. at the latest."

Jasmine nodded as Sirius got to his feet, walked over to the fireplace, threw in a handful of Floo powder, and vanished. Thankfully, Jasmine wasn't on her own for very long.

Not very long after Sirius had left, Jasmine felt the ward on the Floo, indicating that someone was using the Floo, and Jasmine quickly ran out of the master bedroom.

By the time Jasmine reached the ground floor and entered the dining room, where the fireplace was, Padma, Parvati, and Lavender had already arrived and were waiting for her.

"Jasmine," Parvati said excitedly and rushed over to hug Jasmine.

"Hey, Parvati," Jasmine said as she tightly hugged Parvati back, as she had missed her a lot over the last few weeks.

Breaking her hug with Parvati, Jasmine walked over to Padma, Lavender giving each girl a welcoming hug.

"So this is your new home?" Parvati asked, looking around.

"Yep, do you want to show around?" Jasmine offered.

"Nope, we don't have time. We have some shopping to do, and then we have a spa appointment booked for 2 p.m.," Parvati said, Lavender nodding in agreement.

"Okay, where are we going first, Diagon?" Jasmine asked.

"Correct. Do you have any muggle money with you?" Lavender asked.

"Err, I think it's like thirty pounds?" Jasmine said as she walked over to grab her bag.

"That won't be enough," Padma said.

"Okay, money first, then shopping, but I don't need many new clothes. I bought some near the end of the year and have gone through my growth period, so I should be fine for the next few years," Jasmine said.

"Maybe, but did you buy any dresses for formal occasions, underwear, or pyjamas?" Lavender asked, giving a mischievous wink.

Jasmine blushed slightly as her eyes looked over at Parvati and Padma. Jasmine realised that she would need to buy some sexy underwear as after her 13th birthday, it was very likely that she would be having sex.

She had wanted to buy some before but hadn't been able to find the time or the chance to. She also wanted to wait until she looked around 15, as before, she looked older. Jasmine doubted the shops would even sell her anything.

"Right, let's go, Diagon Ally," Jasmine said, walking over to the fireplace.

Thankfully, it took the girls only a little while to get money from the bank, as the bank had booths where you could withdraw money without needing to visit your vault, and the goblins would just take it out of your vault.

In total, Jasmine took out one hundred galleons and eight hundred pounds. With the money, the girls left Diagon Ally, and following Parvati's and Lavender's lead, they journey into London.

All three of the girls looked quite comfortable as they walked around, making Jasmine sure this wasn't the first time they had gone shopping together.

"So where are we going?" Jasmine asked.

"One of the best dress shops in London," Parvati said.

Jasmine rolled her eyes. She didn't think for a moment that they were going to a cheap dress shop. Otherwise, why would she take eight hundred pounds out.

"We are here," Padma said before Jasmine could ask any more questions.

Jasmine looked at the shop with interest. The front window had mannequins, each wearing a gorgeous dress and an accompanying necklace.

Jasmine looked at each of the dresses with longing. There was no way that her aunt would have allowed her to own any dress as lovely as the ones in the shop window.

"Well, don't just stand there. Let's go inside," Padma said, pulling Jasmine into the shop with Parvati and Lavender following her.

The inside of the shop was filled to the brim with all kinds of dresses, many that Jasmine hadn't ever seen before and had no idea what they were called.

"Good morning. Is there anything I can help you girls with today?" a shop assistant asked.

"We are looking for a formal dress for our friend here," Parvati said, pushing Jasmine forward.

"Hmm do you have a style you like?" the shop assistant asked.

"Not really, whatever you think would look best," Jasmine said a little nervously.

"What about colour?"

"It has to be green. It just goes so well with her hair," Parvati said.

Jasmine held back her eye roll. While she couldn't argue that green looked good on her, Jasmine was sure that Parvati was firm on green as it was one of the colours of Daphne's house.

"Hmm, okay, let's see what we can do," the shop assistant said, leading the girls through the sea of dresses. As they did, the shop assistant would pull out a dress or two to show Jasmine and the girls to see what they thought.

In the end, Jasmine ended up with a dark green sequin dress with a lace-up back. It had cost just shy of half of her muggle money, but the dress did look amazing.

"So where next? Spa?" Jasmine asked.

"No, we need to go get you some proper underwear," Parvati said, smiling mischievously.

"You have house elves, right?" Padma asked.

"Ya, why?"

"You can't carry that dress around with you for the rest of the day. Let's find somewhere private and have your house elf take it back home for you," Padma said, looking around.

With no better option, the girls walked down a side alley that kept them mostly out of the public's view.

"Dobby," Jasmine called out.

With a crack, Dobby appeared in front of Jasmine.

Unlike when Dobby was working for the Malfoys, Dobby was now wearing a butler uniform that Jasmine had made for him instead of the pillowcase that almost every house elf wore.

"Hello, Dobby. Can you take this dress back to my room for me?"

"Of course, mistress Potter," Dobby said, taking the dress carefully and vanishing with a crack.

"Right, let's go buy some underwear," Jasmine said.

The other girls giggled as they walked back onto the high street. It was only a short walk before they arrived at La Senza, which was next door to Boux Avenue.

In the shops' windows were lingerie displays, most made from lace or silk and were very transparent. Under Parvati's leadership, Jasmine was led into Boux Avenue first.

For a moment, Jasmine was worried that they would get thrown out or asked why they were shopping there. But other than a quick look, none of the shop assistants said anything to them.

"Right, sleepwear first, and then we can get underwear," Padma said.

It seems that Jasmine wasn't the only one planning on buying some sleepwear. The other girls wandered off to look for themselves while Parvati stayed close to Jasmine.

Jasmine browsed through the selection and was surprised by how cute and sexy some of the pyjamas were. One of the first ones that she picked was a cherry red satin cami short set.

The top had a cut down the middle that would show off her toned belly, and the shorts looked like they would hug her hips. She also picked up a few chemises, all of which were just long enough to cover her bum, but the tops were made from lace, which would be completely see-through.

Jasmine also picked a few bodysuits and placed them into her basket. With all of her sleepwear picked, Jasmine was about to go over and pick up some underwear.

"I would pick some swimwear," Parvati said with a wink which confused Jasmine.

Were they planning on going swimming over the summer? Jasmine asked herself, a little worried as she didn't really know how to swim.

However, Jasmine still listened to Parvati's suggestion and grabbed three sets of bikinis as that was all the shop seemed to have for sale. Thankfully, they were at least something that she could wear in public.

Looking around and feeling slightly embarrassed, Jasmine walked into the lingerie section.
