Hello People Of Fanfiction.

This chapter took its toll on me, lol.

it's one of the hardest chapters I've ever written, so many surprises, so many events, It's like I mashed up all the events into one chapter, and you know what it's even more silly? It didn't even cover the rest of phase 4, as I saved some events for next chapter. lol.

This story is really one of the hardest things ever. and I hope I can finish it without damaging my brain lmao

Hope you enjoy this one, and don't forget to review, please.

Aang

The Avatar was making his way home with Senge and Abby, they were going to the southern Air Temple to look for the person who's going to help him with his avatar state as Avatar Wan told him, The Guru.

Aang was feeling both guilty and terrified, let's start with guilty, he was feeling bad for the way him and Avatar Wan parted ways, he should have stayed and tried to protect him, he knew that the likely option would have been that both of them would be captured and none would be there to save the world, but still, he wanted to do something for him, but he decided that the best way to help him is to carry out the mission he assigned Aang with, and that's to reconnect with Raava and The Avatar state and then do the inevitable, and that gets us to the part that makes Aang terrified, Aang doesn't want bending to end like that, he knew it's brutal for all benders around the world, some of them are only relying on bending to make a living, others defend nations with bending..

and others live with no bending their whole lives, Aang has always questioned the nature of their universe, why would some people get bending and some not? he thought it unfair for non-benders to live feeling that they are unimportant to the world, maybe driving Raava and Vattu away would solve this problem, but no, it won't, because at least non-benders are accustomed to the feeling, but Benders who get their bending taking away, wouldn't feel the same.

and there's this other matter that he knew of a couple of months ago, the matters in the northern and southern Water tribes, that he spoke to Chief Hakoda and Petu about, the reason they are both going to said destinations.

Aang decided to clear his head from all those thoughts as he was focused on the current mission, which is regaining the Avatar State, he had to get to Guru Pathik in the southern airtemple to get his powers back, The guru's actually from the eastern Air Temple, but at the moment he's staying at the southern temple to help prepare them for war, he was summoned by Monk Tenzin just after Aang left the temple for his quest to help, and he's stayed there ever since.

Guru Pathik is a nomadic supercentenarian who possesses great knowledge of the Spirit World and its effects on normal humans, as well as the nature of the Avatar and the Avatar State, He is spiritually enlightened and has assisted numerous people, as well as animals like Appa, attain their full potential and cleanse themselves of pain and suffering, Pathik does not hold an allegiance to any one nation and is willing to teach anybody who wished to learn from him, Aang just hoped that he wasn't another 'enlightened' man from the temples, he hated those.

Aang knew that they were moments away from the island of Kyoshi which was on their way to the temple, there was another reason for him to pass by Kyoshi Island, because he knew that Katara's there, he really wanted to see her, and so it drove him to the somewhat expected turn of events, he told Senge of the news,

"We're landing soon for water and resupplies on Kyoshi Island so prepare yourself." Aang informed the kid and Senge nodded, Aang then lowered himself a bit on top of Abby's head to speak to the bison,

"We're landing soon, girl, hope you like the hay in Kyoshi Island." Aang informed the girl and she growled happily, Aang chuckled and looked ahead, and the smile on his face was wiped away immediately. he saw smoke coming from the sea beneath the clouds,

"What's that?" Aang asked, which grabbed Senge's attention, the boy looked and had the same confused look on Aang's face.

The realization hit Aang as he got a closer look at where the smoking's coming from, and anger consumed him immediately,

"Fire Nation." He said calmly, but his voice was filled with suppressed rage, but suddenly his rage turned to fear, as he remembered that Katara and Sokka are there, what happened to them? he really hoped nothing bad.

"What?! I thought they gave up their conquest after their last defeat!" Senge said.

Aang clenched his fists around his staff and stood up on Abby's head as he got to a position right on top of them, at that point, he knew the firenation soldiers saw him, but as he looked down, there was one person that caught his eye, a girl with blue Waterbending clothes laying on the ground, looking at him with desperation, as her colleagues were getting slaughtered beside her, Aang knew there was no other option but to fight to save Katara.

and without hesitation nor telling Senge anything, he jumped from atop Abby's head to the battlefield, he saw the Firenation soldiers gathering to defend themselves against him, as soon as he landed, he slammed his staff into the ground, generating a massive earthen wave to knock back the Firenation soldiers, it went up and down in rhythm like an angry song.

he knew the way he wanted to take, which was the way to Katara's side, so he only continued towards her, knocking down Firenation soldiers left and right as he did, until he heard the shout.

"Shoot at him!" and soon as he heard it, he turned around to find a combustion wave sent in his direction, Aand used Airbending to propel himself away and protect himself, the explosion knocked away everybody in the area, including Aang himself, who flew in the air and went directly to Katara, as soon as he regained consciousness and turned his head, he found Katara laying beside him with her eyes wide open and looking at him.

"Hey, Aang." She greeted with a voice that displayed fatigue.

before Aang could respond, he heard Combustion man generating another wave, so he immediately stood up and created a wall of earth that withstood the wave, he took advantage of the time between combustion waves to talk to Katara,

"Are you okay?" He asked worriedly.

"Don't worry, I'm not hurt. Just tired." Katara responded, reassuring Aang, but of course, her words weren't enough to reassure him, he created a rounded wall around Katara to keep her safe and then jumped atop of it.

"I'm gonna put a stop to this." He told her and without waiting for her response, he jumped to the battlefield, now reassured that Katara is safe, at least at the moment, he decided to fight.

He knew that the only reason the Firenation keeps fighting is because of that combustion monster standing there shooting waves at Aang's allies, so he decided to target him, he went through the battlefield knocking out Firenation soldiers left and right, before something from his right made him stop and react immediately to protect him, a giant animal that wanted to hit him with his tongue, Aang dodged the attack mere seconds before the tongue hit him and countered it with an Airbending move to knock the animal away, but it was unsuccessful as the rider was still on top of it.

she was a black-haired woman, whose death stare was sharper than daggers, she kept the animal at bay, and stared down Aang.

"And what's your deal?" Aang asked, assuming a fighting stance.

The woman smirked and without hesitation, she grabbed the reins on the animal and launched another attack on Aang.

The Avatar prepared for the upcoming attack the best he could, but he didn't get the chance to fight it, as his bison, Abby, arrived at the battlefield and stood between Aang and The Animal, with Senge on top of it, The female bison then used her tail to send an airbending blast at The black-haired Lady and her animal, sending them flying away.

"YEAH! ABBY!" Senge shouted, petting the bison on the head.

Aang smiled at them, but then was alerted by a firenation soldier who came shouting from afar with a spear, Aang then looked unamused as he turned around as he casually and still looking away from the soldier, creates an earth wall, which stops the soldier dead in his tracks.

Aang then lowers the wall, which causes the soldier to fall down.

"Sneak attacks don't work if you yell it out loud." The avatar said, still facing away from the idiot solider. He then got serious as he remembered his main target,

"Senge, I'm leaving the lady and her animal to you and Abby, I'm going after the monster." Aang said, pointing at Combustion Man while looking at Senge who nodded and stared back at the lady and her animal who got back on their feet and preparing for a charge at Senge and Abby.

Aang didn't wait to see how that would unfold, and decided to go after Combustion Man, he created an air ball and got on top of it, launching himself at the three-eyed freak.

The Man with the huge scar noticed Aang coming from beside Combustion Man, so he spoke up,

"SHOOT AT HIM!" The Combustion Man did as ordered and took a deep breath before launching a combustion wave in Aang's direction, with a swift move, Aang dodged it and kept going, so The Man with the huge scar ordered again but this time with more fear,

"KEEP SHOOTING! KEEP SHOOTING! KILL HIM!" The Combustion Man shot again and again, all to no avail as Aang dodged all of them, The Avatar didn't care how many times he would shoot as he was in rage at the moment, he was ready to keep dodging until he reaches him, he wasn't even afraid to get closer to this freak, as he was in so much rage that could consume the entire world right now,

Aang kept knocking Firenation soldiers all the way to Combustion Man, as he got closer and closer, The Man with the huge scar got more and more frightened, so he stepped back behind the combustion man,

Aang finally got to a very close range to Combustion Man, so he launched himself in the air, but not alone, with him, he took a huge boulder from the ground, and as he clenched his fists tightly, the boulder broke into pieces, the pieces were still big enough to kill though, and so with a mighty roar filled with nothing but pure rage, the avatar launched all the pieces at Combustion Man and his colleague.

The broken pieces of the boulder hit its mark and the Combustion Man and his colleague were buried under the storm of rocks that got on top of them, Aang then landed on the ground swiftly and stared at what he just did, Aang was sure that they were dead at that moment, and although he felt bad that once again he broke his air nomad teachings, he felt good that his endeavor might have saved all those people, and indeed it did, as now the allies have the upper hands, the Firenation soldiers got weaker after the avatar's display of power and they tried to run back to their ships.

but suddenly The Combustion Man stood up again, he rose from the pile of rocks and stood up again, holding his head in agony, Aang turned back to look at him in shock, to find him losing his aim, it was like his vision was pretty foggy, the combustion man then saw Aang and tried to shoot a Combustion wave at Aang but then he closed his eyes like he was having trouble on his aim, or even generating waves off his third eye, so dizzily, he put his metal arm on the eye to fix it, just after he generated the wave, and so a huge explosion that knocked away everybody around him, including his own soldiers and Aang who got back a couple of steps but stood his ground still.

Aang's vision got foggy but as soon as it cleared, he saw a metal arm right beside him, and when he looked at the scene in front of him, body members were everywhere, and a lake of blood, The Combustion Man blew himself up, and blew up the corpse of the man with the huge scar beside him, along with a couple of soldiers who were standing near him, but their body parts were still intact as they weren't too close to Combustion Man and his colleague.

The Avatar was disgusted to say the least, but that was enough for the Firenation soldiers to surrender, they laid down their arms, got on their knees and their hands were in the air, but that wasn't enough to satisfy Aang, as corpses of Kyoshi warriors and Watertribe men were everywhere, he looked at the scene in horror.

"Don't think you can get away that easily, Avatar." Aang heard a feminine voice from behind him. The Avatar was alerted by the voice and turned back in shock to find The Lady with the giant animal looking at him with Senge and Abby laying on the ground, unable to move, apparently the animal hit them with his tongue and so they got paralyzed.

Dammit, Senge! Aang cursed internally, as the lady was threating him right. the Watertribe people were ready to fight again, but Aang lifted a hand up,

"Hold on.. let's solve this peacefully." Aang said to the people.

The Lady snorted, "If The Firelord wanted to solve anything peacefully, she wouldn't have gotten me." She followed up.

Aang knew that it was Azula who sent those goons, but somehow he wanted to convince himself that such a thing wouldn't be her doing, he didn't know Azula would turn up to be just as ruthless and power hungry as her father.

despite the many feelings going through his head, and his undoubtful fear for Senge, The Avatar stood his ground,

"You misunderstood me, My Lady. I don't wanna solve this peacefully for myself, I wanna solve it peacefully for you.." Aang started, and The Lady finally displayed an expression, it was that of faint shock, but she was very good at hiding it,

The Avatar continued, "You just saw with your own two eyes what I did to your three-eyed weapon, I can do the same to you and your animal. but on the other hand, I can let you live, you can leave this place immediately on a ship of yours and start fresh, only if you let my friend and my bison go." Aang said.

The Lady was speechless at first, but then she responded with a laugh, it was the most menacing laugh Aang has ever heard, Aang was sure she hasn't tried laughing in a long time,

"I'm not one to be threatened, Avatar." She said, and was about to order her beast to do the rest of the work,

before the beast's head was suddenly encased in ice, The animal moves and Aang moves his head in shock to see Katara beside him.

Suddenly the Watertribe warriors charge the beast with their weapons, they keep attacking it and its owner, who kept trying to fight back, the beast got to the ground, and a Watertribe warrior places a knife in its chest, immediately striking its heart and killing it, The Rider screamed as she saw the scene, Aang immediately felt bad as he remembered the same thing happened to him when he lost Appa, the Watertribe warriors kept attacking the lady with their shoes and punches, until Aang ordered them to stop,

"Enough!" The Watertribe warriors immediately stopped and left her on the ground, with bruises and blood pouring out of every corner of her face,

"We don't attack defenseless opponents. Kyoshi Warriors, take her to the city prison along with the rest of the Firenation soldiers who surrendered." Aang decided.

"Prison?! They killed our brothers and sisters! They are monsters who need to be killed!" A Watertribe soldier shouted, and the rest of the people seemed to have agreed with him.

Aang got closer to the soldier who cowered back a bit,

"Don't worry, I'm not gonna hurt you.. I was just gonna tell you, who says they are not gonna die? Some of them will.. They'll be put on trial and if the judge sees fit, they'll be executed, if not, they'll be at the service of the allies until this war is over, Either way, they are as good as dead. we're not merciless, yes. but we're also not merciful." The Avatar finished.

The Watertribe people and The Kyoshi Warriors agreed to what the avatar proposed, they started the process of taking the captives to prison, including the lady who used to have a giant animal.

Aang then turned around to find Katara in the arms of her mother and grandmother, he had a smile on his face from the scene and decided to join them,

"Are you all okay?" Aang asked.

as soon as Katara heard his voice, she got out of her mother and gran-gran's arms and ran to Aang to hug him, Aang hugged her back with the same fire, they hadn't seen each other in a long time, maybe it was much harder for Katara as she waited in the physical world instead of the spirit world, but it was still painful for Aang.

"I missed you so much." Katara said with a voice filled with suppressed pain as she soaked his shirt with tears.

"I missed you too." Aang responded, smiling to himself that he got to feel the warmth of her hug again.

at that point, even for a mere second, Aang forgot about all his struggles, and only focused on Katara, but as soon as the second past, he remembered that they just got out alive of a fierce battle that many brave men and women from the Watertribe and Kyoshi Island were killed, he had so many questions, like what are the watertribe people doing here? although he had some pretty good idea, he also wanted to tell Katara of his journey, and he wanted to tell her of their next course.

But now he only wanted to savor her hug, a beautiful moment in the middle of dark times, how rare are those? they just won a battle of power hungry people who failed to see the truth of it all, who failed to see that this world with all its forms of power could fall in mere seconds, one look at the battlefield made Aang furious, he used to have bad blood with Ozai, but now he has bad blood with Azula.

The Battle Of Kyoshi Island has been won, but at what cost?

Sokka

The Watertribe prince sat beside his dad, the rightful chief, Hakoda, in the war room of the southern watertribe palace.

Across them sat Voccak and Hedrick, and at the head of the table sat Master Pakku, and there was a girl standing beside him, who Sokka learned her name was Miki, she was a common girl who worked for Voccak but then decided to go learn under Master Pakku and she proved to be one of the most skillful Watertbenders in the world, according to Master Pakku, but Sokka still didn't understand why Pakku decided to bring her along in this meeting? Maybe it's something the old master will reveal later.

It was left unrevealed as Pakku asked the girl to go check on some soldiers on the wall, and Miki did just so, leaving the entire room in question of why he brought her along in the first place.

but it was no bother to them at the moment as they had an intense stare down to take care of at the moment, The two parties kept staring at each other intensely, Voccak and Hakoda specially, they looked like they wanted to tear out each other's throats, and Sokka knew they would have certainly tried to do so if it wasn't for Master Pakku, the master sitting at the head of the table was furious of their childish antics, and he was most tired of the silence in the room, so he decided to speak up, He cleared his throat to grab everybody's attention and then he said,

"Gentlemen of the southern watertribe, I gathered you all here today to discuss the main issue of this tribe, and you must have realized how dangerous you are to this tribe right now by being called the main issue of this tribe, we're on the brink of extinction and you're still the main issue of this tribe, do you even realize how impactful that is?" Master Pakku asked,

and all parties concerned were staring at him waiting for the old master to finish as he had more words to spit out, but it turns out the master finished talking and was waiting for their input,

"What? Are you a bunch of mutes? Try using your tongues just to make sure." The master said sarcastically.

Hakoda was first to speak, "I'm just going to ask you one question, Master Pakku. who do you think is the rightful ruler of this tribe?" Hakoda dropped the question and the entire room was silenced again.

But it was for mere seconds as the master decided to answer, "You are." Pakku said, looking at Hakoda, he was about to continue speaking but was interrupted by Hakoda,

"Well, that solves it, what are we doing here?" Hakoda asked.

Voccak was about to respond this time, but Master Pakku decided to speak again to finish his sentence, "But being rightful doesn't make you more qualified." Pakku answered, which shocked the entire room, even Voccak himself.

"What?" Hakoda asked.

Pakku took a deep breath, "You are my beloved wife's son, and I love you as much as she does. I might have disagreed with Voccak on almost every decision he made, but there is one question that we both agreed to needing a valid answer for, that question being, Where have you been when your tribe needed you the most, Hakoda?"

Hakoda was silenced by the question, he couldn't answer, so Sokka spoke up for him,

"Master Pakku, may I answer this one?" Sokka asked, and the permission was granted by Master Pakku for him to speak,

so Sokka continued, "I'm afraid I was responsible for the delay of my dad's return to the southern watertribe, my dad was going to take his army and return from Chameleon Bay directly to the southern watertribe, but I told him to come join the fight for Yu Dao with us and Avatar Aang, he wanted to return to his home tribe, but duty called and he was brave enough to overcome his desires and answer the call." Sokka finished.

Pakku was convinced by the answer, but it was Voccak's turn to speak up,

"Master Pakku, may I speak?" Voccak requested, and Master Pakku granted him permission to speak,

so Voccak continued, "With all due respect, Prince Sokka. but The Battle Of Yu Dao happened three months ago, Hakoda has been away from the tribe for a full year, ever since the cursed ceremonies, he could have returned way before the battle way before the battle, but he decided not to." Voccak said.

Hakoda was silent, looking at Voccak with hateful eyes, Sokka sensed that Hakoda had something to say to Voccak, he's sensed it ever since his conversation with his father on Kyoshi Island after his fight with Katara.

*Flashback*

Sokka walked to the beach of the island, looking for his father, he knew he would find him there, staring at the open sea, he found comfort in that, and indeed his father was there.
it was a couple of hours after the fight with Katara, so he gave his father some space, but some matters can't be left unattended, after he made sure that Katara was ok, he decided to check on his father, so he approached him and spoke up,

"How are you doing, dad?" Sokka asked.

Hakoda was in so much dilemma that he just noticed Sokka standing beside him when he spoke up,

"I'm alright, Son. Just thinking." Hakoda responded.

Sokka took a seat beside him on the sand, "Don't take what Katara said to heart, you know it was just the heat of the moment." Sokka said.

"Yeah, I know. I'm not mad at her, just mad at myself for not explaining myself earlier, I just lashed at out at her without even taking into consideration what she might think of my need to return to the tribe." Hakoda said, which really interested Sokka.

"Is there any other reason than taking back your rightful place as Chief?" Sokka asked.

Hakoda looked hurt by Sokka's question, but he decided not to elaborate, he only said, "No, it's not just that."

"Then what is it?" Sokka asked.

Hakoda was silent for a while before saying,

"After I left the Firenation with your mother, Suki and Petu, We left your mother at Kyoshi Island and decided to go to Chameleon Bay, We gathered the army but decided that we can't only control the seas to get rid of Firenation existence in the earth kingdom, we had to also control the lands, and as we roamed the lands, we went through a desert called the Si Wong Desert, it was vast and we couldn't go through it on foot, so we made a deal with the sandbenders of the area, we'll give you money and in return, you'll get rid of every firenation presence in the area, they happily agreed for the money part, and during our travels in the desert, I stumbled upon a great and powerful secret: The Wan Shi Tong Library, it was a great Library with many ancient books and information that could get us to a much better place, Wan Shi Tong is actually a spirit owl.." Hakoda said, and at this point, Sokka was thinking that his father was going mad, but he decided to keep listening as his father continued,

"We entered the library and I read something that made my mind spin." Hakoda finished, staring at the sea in deep thought as his mood soured.

"What's it?" Sokka asked.

Hakoda was again silent for a while before saying, "I read about the evil spirit."

Sokka was shocked, but he screams internally something that he couldn't just keep it in, so he said it out loud, "I knew it."

"Knew what?" Hakoda asked.

"I knew that you were aware of all the spirit shenanigans going on, when I asked you to come fight Shun with us, you refused, but as soon as I told you about the spirits war, you immediately accepted, even though I thought you weren't going to believe me.. How come Suki never told me of this?" Sokka asked.

"It was just me and Petu who entered the library, and we decided to keep it a secret, because it wasn't just the information about the evil spirit that shocked us, it was something else."

Sokka was confused by this, "How could something be more shocking than our entire race being wiped out?" Sokka asked.

Hakoda didn't want to share this information with anyone, but he decided to ask one question,

"Has Aang ever told you of the children of Vattu?" Hakoda asked, which made Sokka's head spin.

"The What now?" Sokka asked.

"The Children Of Vattu." Hakoda repeated.

"I don't think Aang is even aware of that, what's the children of Vattu?" Sokka asked.

"They are evil spirits, created by the evil spirit Vattu himself, after the defeat of their master, they took human forms and blended in with the crowds to protect themselves from the avatar, they are eternals, they don't perish until their master perishes first, they are still alive until today, they are master strategists, it's written in the books, that they will be the reason for their master's return one day, they are also very powerful, as they can control all the evil spirit as well as their master does, and they can shoot energy beams out of their finger tips." Hakoda elaborated.

Sokka was shocked, "How many are they?" He asked quietly.

"They used to be nine, but only three remain, the rest have been turned when their master lost control of them." Hakoda said.

"Did you manage to get a specific location?" Sokka asked.

Hakoda wasn't fond of answering, but he gave Sokka an answer anyways, "They can't live without portals nearby. That's what the book said, spirit portals only exist in the northern and southern watertribes." Hakoda said.

Sokka couldn't take it anymore, he couldn't believe that Vattu wasn't the only danger to this world, "How come Aang never knew of this?" Sokka asked.
"Aang knows.. he's the reason I'm going to the southern watertribe, and also the reason Petu is sent to the northern Watertribe, to search for them." Hakoda said.

Shock after Shock, Sokka just couldn't handle it, he held his head in agony, as headaches were starting to get through, this is horrible.

"I can't believe this." Sokka said.

Hakoda only kept staring at the sea, "I hope you understand now why going to the southern Watertribe is a must, Sokka."

Sokka kept holding his head as he said, "I understand, Dad."

*End Of Flashback*

By this time, Sokka knew for sure that Hakoda's first suspect is Voccak, he just didn't want to ask him, but even if Voccak is what he says he is, Hakoda's plan to fight in the southern watertribe was wrong, because even if Voccak is what he says he is, what did all those poor soldiers do to deserve a fate like this? Hakoda was staring at Voccak the whole time Sokka was remembering their conversation on Kyoshi Island, He knew Hakoda was on to something, Suddenly Hakoda looked at the ground and smiled, he finally decided to speak,

"What was I doing away from the tribe? Simple, I was exposing you, Voccak." Hakoda said.

The entire room were shocked by Hakoda's words, "What're you talking about, Hakoda? What were you doing?" Master Pakku asked.

Hakoda kept smiling as he looked at Voccak and said,

"You wanna know what I was doing, Master Pakku? I was investigating a place called Si Wong Desert, and I stumbled upon a place deeply buried in the sand, called Wan Shi Tong's Library."

Voccak's eyes got as large as plates, Hakoda got the confirmation he needed, and so he brought out his club and charged Voccak.

"HAKODA!" "DAD!" Pakku and Sokka shouted simultaneously.

Suddenly, a purple beam was launched from beside Voccak and to Hakoda, but Sokka saw him coming so he brought a metal tray that was placed on the table and protected Hakoda with it, but the beam still knocked him, his dad and Pakku away to the side of the palace, the impact broke the ice wall, and they were driven out of the palace creating a gap at the corner of it.

Despite being hurt, Sokka managed to stand up and look, it was Hedrick who created the spirit beam, and Voccak was looking at him, not in confusion or fear, but in anger.

"You idiot!" Voccak said, Hedrick knew the mistake he made but he looked not the tiniest bit sorry for it.

Master Pakku and Hakoda stood up and came beside Sokka, the rest of the soldiers of the town came as well, everyone looked at the sight in awe, as Voccak and Hedrick were fully transforming.

"You brought this upon yourself, Hakoda. Now your beloved tribe will suffer the consequences." Voccak said, as he and Hedrick finally transformed, into gigantic beasts, their height topped that of the palace that they broke the roof, they turned into huge dark monsters, with tentacles coming out of their arms, and Vattu's patterns on their chests.

all the soldiers in the town were staring in shock, for many reasons, the first being that their chief and his right hand are actually dark spirit monsters, and the second is that the person they trusted betrayed them.

Master Pakku came out of his daze, and he decided to beat them to the chase before they moved,

"Waterbenders! With me!" The waterbenders followed the old master and with him they summoned a huge amount of water and encircled it around Voccak and Hedrick, As Pattu and the rest of the waterbenders continued to bend the water so that it encircles the entities entirely, but Voccak and Hedrick took control of their bodies before Pattu could do anything, and did the unthinkable.

They directed their hands at the watertribe soldiers, and they simultaneously launched spirit beams at all the benders, knocking away most of them, including their leader who took a huge blow to the chest.

"NO!" Hakoda shouted.

Master Pakku was knocked far back as the rest of the benders continued fighting, Sokka and Hakoda ran to his side, and they dragged him to a protected corner, as soon as they arrived, Sokka checked his pulse, and found that there wasn't any.

"He's dead." Sokka announced to Hakoda.

Hakoda was shocked into silence, tears fill freely out of his eyes, but they had to get out of their mourning as soon as possible to take care of the situation outside,

"Dad, we need to get out of here." Sokka said.

Hakoda was silent for a while as he wiped away the tears, "We can't. They are too powerful, their spirit beams would reach our ships, there is no escape, Sokka." Hakoda said.

"But we can't fight them!" Sokka responded.

"No.. But that's our only option." Hakoda said, bring out his club and going out in the open to face Voccak and Hedrick.

"Dad! No! Dammit!" Sokka shouted, bringing out his own club and joining his dad outside.

The two of them marched towards the giant evil spirits of Voccak and Hedrick,

"HEY! SCUM! SO MUCH FOR MAKING THE TRIBE A BETTER PLACE, VOCCAK!" Hakoda shouted as he came to a halt, dangerously close to both spirits.

Voccak turned around to look at Hakoda and Sokka, he didn't look the tiniest bit pleased of what's happening, but he still responded with,

"You brought this upon your tribe, Hakoda."

Sokka decided to step in, "You still have a chance to stop this and return to your realm, Remember the good times you spent here, Voccak. enough blood has been spilled." Sokka said, and that really looked like it struck a nerve, as Voccak turned his head in shame, looking at Hedrick who was mirroring his expression, both of them looked like they wanted to stop, but something prevented them.

"I'm sorry, Kid. but My master has returned, and he's on his way here. There's no turning back now." Voccak suddenly said, sending a shiver down Sokka's spine, he knew that it was gonna happen eventually, but no amount of time could make you prepared for something like this, Vattu is coming.

Sokka lowered his club, and eventually Hakoda did the same, they were both defeated, the world is on the brink of destruction.

but as soon as they lost hope, a light shined, literally a light, a huge amount of water, being encircled around Hedrick at top speed,

and before anybody could realize it, Hedrick was turned into fairy dust, Hedrick was purified by a certain someone, and After purification, he dissipated into the sky in a golden light, all in the blink of an eye.

Voccak and the soldiers of the city, including Hakoda and Sokka looked around to see who exactly did this to Hedrick, And it turns out it was the same girl that was with Pattu eariler.

Miki stood tall on a building staring down Voccak after she purified Hedrick, a frown on her face, ready to kill.

Voccak gasped as he looked at her, "That fast?" Voccak asked, obviously referring to the speed of the purification process, Sokka and Hakoda were wondering the same, they now realize why Pakku took a liking to this girl, she's a miracle.

"You have not the slightest idea what I can do, Voccak." She said, and then in the blink of an eye, she summoned huge amounts of water, and with a mighty roar, she sent them towards evil Voccak, immediately encircling him.

Voccak was mere seconds away from getting purified as well, but he immediately saved himself by using his spiritual powers to teleport away, immediately disappearing in thin air. With eyes as large as plates, Sokka and Hakoda were staring at the scene, Evil Spirit Voccak might have run away, but what just happened was a huge victory for humanity.

Finally, someone other than the avatar has the power to save them from the evil spirits. And that person is a girl who used to work in the kitchen of Lord Voccak's palace, Miki. Thank you, Miki.. for giving us hope. Sokka said internally.

she's a girl who even after her victory over Voccak and Hedrick, and despite having waterbending powers that could rival the best Waterbender in history, collapsed down on her knees and cried loudly, sobbing on the rooftop that all the soldiers heard her, including Sokka and Hakoda.

Sokka and Hakoda knew why she was crying, she was in mourning, as they all were when they remembered what just happened, they turned around the corner to check the corpse just to make sure, and indeed it happened,

Master Pakku is dead.
