AN: Sorry I forgot to post Chapter 2 when it came out. I got it and Chapter 3 ready! Enjoy!

Disclaimer I do not own Helluva Boss.

Hiring Collin came with much controversy from my staff, which I had expected the moment I told them. Many of them didn't like the idea of taking orders from an angel, but I told them this was my decision, and if any of them didn't like it, the door was right there. None of them moved to leave because there wasn't a better place they could work than at my club in Gluttony. When it comes to pride and paychecks, most people pick the latter over the former. That's one of the few things Mammon has ever said that wasn't completely full of shit agreed with.

I wait at the entrance with my staff, getting ready for tonight. Collin isn't going to be working right away straight out of the blue. He needs to get a feel of the place, the layout, the atmosphere, and the workers before he starts managing. And even then, he'll be an assistant manager. My club is my club. I own it, rule it, and decide what it does and when it happens. So if I want to start an orgy in the middle of the dance floor while sprinkling cocaine in the air and having us fuck to Bad Company's "Feel Like Making Love," then I'll do it.

Note to self. Try that next weekend.

Collin arrives and looks nervous despite his attempt to give me a calm smile. "I'm here."

"Right on time," I say while checking my phone. "Good. I like it when people are on time or five minutes early. Now, before we begin, do you have any questions?"

"Yeah, what days and times do you operate?" Collin asks as we walk around the central area of the club.

"We're open Thursday to Monday from 6PM to 2:30 AM. Tuesday and Wednesday are our days off unless there's something big going on or a special request," I explain while showing him the central area. "This is where the magic happens. We have 20 different bars on all four levels, each with plenty of liquor to kill Hannibai's war elephants. Before you ask, yes, we do ask for ID here and ensure there is no underage drinking. We don't allow kids in here. You're 21, or you're out."

"Got it," Collin says with a sigh of relief. I guess he was afraid this would be a total no-rules place. Don't get me wrong. I'm as lax as they come, but I've learned over the millennia that sometimes you need rules to ensure fun doesn't become chaotic.

I show him the other locations around the main club room, such as the stage for DJs or musical acts. The dancing area and the giant disco ball above it are next to the stage. The VIP section is next, which is for my own personal guests or those that impress me. There are also a few private rooms around so people can have their own fun. It was hilarious seeing him blush when he saw the vending machines for birth control pills, hormone pills, viagra, ecstasy, and condoms.

"I take it that smoking and drugs are also legal here?" Collin asks as we continue with the tour.

"Yeah, but we do have a drug-free Thursday every week. Not all our partiers want to do drugs since some of them are trying out for the Hazbin Hotel," I tell him before turning around and getting serious. "However, under no circumstances is H-8 allowed here. That shit is nasty, and I won't have any fighters in here. Those fuckers can burn for all I care."

"What's H-8?" Collin asks with confusion.

"It's a drug designed to make you remember the happiest moments of your life, but it's addicting. Like super addicting, and slowly kills you. Not to mention, there is a nasty side effect where after you take it, you go a bit crazy. I used to allow it, but after a really bad high that left a few dead, I banned it here."

H-8 was pure fucking poison. I've seen good demons waste themselves into nothing using it. I was all right with people risking themselves during parties, but there was a limit. Parties are meant to be fun and exciting, not a place where you can get hurt and harm others. The worst thing is that nobody knows who sells that shit. Not even Bella knows; she knows practically every drug in the Seven Rings.

"Got it; I'll keep an eye out," Collin says seriously. Good. I like that in a manager. "But are we allowed to drink and do drugs? The staff, I mean?"

"I allow a few drinks here and there but not enough to get intoxicated, so you don't do your job. And no drugs at all while working. You do that shit off the clock," I then smile and tease at Collin. "Why? Interested in doing some without the G-man looking down on you?"

Collin chuckled and shook his head. "No thanks. I just wanted to know. Also, are the drugs done in every area of the club?"

I think about it for a few minutes. "I think I just allow it to happen anywhere."

"Can I suggest limiting it to one specific floor?" Collin says, which raises my eyebrow. "Have you had fights or disruptions from people who are too high or such and bother others?"

"A few," I reply. Okay, more than a few. But Collin doesn't need to know that.

"Well, why not keep them hoarded in one area? That way, your security can watch them closer without spreading too much? Not to mention they'll keep away from bothering the non-drugged partiers at the same time?" Collin suggested.

That...is a good idea. It would allow us to keep a closer eye on them and kick them out easier if they get too far. Not to mention, only ten or fifteen percent of all my partiers usually do the drugs. Most are just here for the drinks. "Not a bad idea, Collin. I'll try it out, and we'll see where it goes."

He gave me a happy smile, and I couldn't help but smile back. Heh. It's not even his first day, and he's already giving me good ideas. I think this is going to go well.

I show Collin the rest of the place, including bathrooms, warehouse, pantry, keg room, accounting, my office, kitchen, and the worker's lounge. In fact, I'm having everyone meet Collin for the first time in the lounge. All my workers, from the bartenders to the cooks to the waitresses to security to the janitors and more, are all there. Many are silent and emotionless as Collin nervously floats behind me as I get their attention. It's clear that they don't like him, which isn't a surprise, but at least they're being civil. However, while I am serious about them getting to know Collin and accepting him as their new assistant manager, I am also hoping that Collin can get along with them as well. It's a two-way street between manager and worker. I just hope that, as an angel, he's not too easy on them.

"...And so with that all out of the way, I'm going to let Collin introduce himself," I step aside and help the blushing sheep cherub float forward.

"Um, hi," Collin greets as everyone stares at him silently. I wait for him to say something and hope it's nothing corny, but to my surprise, he clears his throat and smiles. "If anyone wants to get whatever they want to say about me being an angel out of their system? I give you permission to do it."

Everyone looks at each other with wide eyes. I'm even surprised by this. He wants them to insult him? He wants them to tear him apart with words and curses? The others look to me to ask me if this is legit. I stare at Collin, who nods with a smile, and I shrug before giving the go-ahead.

In an instant, the entire place is screaming with angry voices.

"We don't want you here, angel!"

"Fuck you and your God!"

"How about you do us a favor and go back to Heaven and wank on a bible!"

More and more insults are thrown out, and some go on for a full five minutes as everyone expresses their feelings. While this is happening, I can't help but look at Collin, who's just letting it wash over him with a bright smile. I raise my eyebrow at this. Was there iron skin under that white and purple fluff of his? Even I would be reacting to this kind of shit talk if it was happening to me. I mean, there is the saying "turn the other cheek," but even angels would just be freaking out and lash back in disgust and fury.

It takes a full fifteen minutes for everyone to finally get too tired to say anything, and we all watch in silence as Collin takes a deep breath. "So, is everyone feeling better?"

Surprisingly, a few are actually nodding. Collin nods his head. "Good, now let's get this out of the way. Yes, I am an angel. I am from Heaven, and I am a person who believes in God and Jesus Christ. And this is who I am. That's not going to change, and I'm not going to change even if I am working here with demons in Hell."

Okay, a bit ballsy just to say that out of the park, but respect for wanting to keep to who you are.

"So that's something you will all have to get used to. Because I got this far in my life by being who I am. Just as I'm sure, all of you have gotten this far in life by staying true to yourselves. Am I right? You're working for one of the most important beings in Hell. That's got to be something to be proud of, right?"

Okay, now he's playing their ego, and it's working. A few are nodding and smirking. One or two chuckles because they know it's true. Working for me is a tremendous honor since I'm one of the top leaders of Hell. They also worked hard to get here since I don't hire anyone. I hire those who are good at their job and show that they have talent. And everyone here has that. My cooks make delicious meals. My bartenders keep the customers happy. The security guys are always ready for everything. And my stage crew? All my performances wouldn't be as great without them.

"So if you're worried that I will try to turn you into angels against your will or sing in choirs for churches, you can relax. I want to know you all and work with you as yourselves," Collin continues. "What's important here is that we all learn to work together, despite our differences, to give those who come to us for a good time the best time of their lives. You don't have to like me, but I do ask that you respect me for who I am. Just as I will for you. Tit for tat."

I grin. This angel is actually winning the crowd. I can feel their emotions; they are warming up to him already. Many are surprised by his words, and while I can tell some are worried he's lying, anyone can tell he's telling the truth. And that's the surprising thing. Collin is honestly being truthful. He does want to know about us. He's an angel who could ignore us or act better because he's up in Heaven but genuinely wants to work here. Damn, I really did pick a gem.

"So, I look forward to working with you all. And I hope you can teach me the ropes," Collin finishes as everyone stares at him with divided emotions. Deciding he needs something for that speech, I clap my hands, and eventually, everyone else calmly follows suit.

"Alright, that's enough of that," I speak as I get everyone's attention. "We still have to get ready for tonight, so everyone gets back to work starting now."

They all nod and leave but a little less angry than before. I doubt they'll love Collin immediately, but at least he's given a decent impression that he won't be an annoyance. Once they're all gone, Collin lets out a big gasp of air and holds a hoof to his heart. "Holy blessing, was that scary."

I couldn't help but snort and giggle at that. "Holy shit, I can't believe you lasted that long with such a straight face."

"Trust me, I think I was this close to wetting myself," Collin grumbles as he shakes his head. "So, what's next?"

"Just some paperwork and a few rules to review, but we can do that tomorrow. You start tomorrow, but for tonight, you can stay and drink a bit if you want," I offer.

"Thanks for the offer, but I can't," Collin apologized. "I promised my parents I'd have dinner with them to celebrate my new job. Even if my Mom is constantly going to be praying every two hours that I'm not getting killed by a demon."

"Tell her she relaxes," I say with a grin as I point my thumb at myself. "Everyone who works for me is under my protection. Someone tries to mess with you? They mess with me. Any demon who tries something? I'll make them wish they faced an Exterminator instead of me."

"Thanks, Beelzebub," Collin replies with a smile and a nod.

"Call me Bee."

"Okay, Bee."

I nod and summon two glasses of whiskey. "I know you said you can't drink with us tonight, but how about just one before you go for the road. You can hold your liquor, right?"

"Y-yeah, I just don't drink often," Collin says as I pour each of us a glass, and he takes one. He raises his. "Here's to a new business relationship."

"Here here." We clank glasses and drink. He shakes his head at the taste, and I can't help but chuckle. Oh, he's going to be adorable working here.

"Thanks for the drink. I'm going to use the bathroom before I go, though," Collin says as he floats off.

"Did it go through that quickly?" I joke as I take another drink.

"No," Collin snorts, "I was being serious about getting ready to wet myself earlier."

That made me laugh for a few good minutes.

"So you seriously did hire him?" Loona asks as she, Vortex, and I share our drinks at my favorite VIP spot as the latest party goes on. The DJ was kicking it up hard. The dancing was the usual exoticness with the occasional fucking here and here. "You're okay with an angel working for you?"

"Eh, I think he'll be okay," I say as I drink another martini. "He's not that bad of a guy. Sweet, a bit too innocent and optimistic, but he knows his stuff and seems calm when the chips are down. If he crashes and burns, it will at least be an interesting one."

"You're not worried what the other Ring Lords might say about this?" Vortex asks.

"What are they going to do? Save for Lucifer and Satan, I'm more powerful than them all and the most popular," I snort. I had nothing to fear from my fellow Ring Lords. Asmodeus would support me since we're best buds. Mammon was a coward, and I could handle his fat greedy ass easily. Belphegor might be a bitch sometimes, but she's too overworked to do anything, and so long as I don't mess with her workload, she'll leave me alone. Satan might bitch about it, but I know how to calm him down. Leviathan might act like a brat, but she's all bark and no bite. Lucifer might do something, and I'll worry about it if he does, but he does not care what others are doing in their own rings.

Meanwhile, everyone else wasn't even close to my power level. Not even the King-Level Goetias.

"And what about your regulars?" Loona asked.

"If Collin can win them over, that works out. If not, we'll deal with it," I reply.

"You expect a cherub to win over a bunch of party animal demons?" Loona asks in surprise. "That's a big risk."

"Life is all about risk," I say with a grin. "Besides, he wants to prove himself. So I'm letting him."

And honestly? I'm interested in seeing if he can.
