Ch 2:
I began to hear men mentioning my name. MOMO this, MOMO that. All that I could tell was that they hated me. I quickly learnt that tones can define people.
Even if they sound calm, their inner thoughts bring on a whole new meaning.
That very thought haunted me whilst I slept.
Some nights I couldn't even close my eyes.
Each day began with a simple question, who could I trust, and when? When was the right time to feel that light of faith? To be myself?
The people around me sure didn't want a piece of me, not even a single word.
Even staring was considered the same as banging on the prison bars.
So in silence and loneliness... I waited.
All the waiting around didn't feel human to me at all. I felt like... a excited dog waiting for his master to come home. A part of me didn't want to be pressured into being something I wasn't.
As sad as that thought really was, it was the only option left at the time, I couldn't make time itself go any faster.
So without eating my lukewarm meal, I instead turned my back over to sleep for the night. The stars and the night sky were the only things that kept me company on that day, nothing else in the world did.
While I slept the guardsmen from before spoke about my upcoming interrogation. I knew that it wouldn't be as simple as Marglius asking a few questions. It's about what they wanted inside of me. The Y-Data.
The organization had long planned to bring me here, but the only reason they hadn't gotten me sooner was because of Mommy's tight security.
Three hours had passed since then, my heart started to race.
I started to question myself as to where Marglius was, why he was taking his time coming back to my cell.
But then I heard footsteps, a door closed afterwards.
Someone was here, but vibe that filled room felt completely different. When the footsteps sounded much closer, I finally had the chance to see who it was.
Standing before me was a tall woman, wearing a hateful scowl.
"The R.S.F's pets came for you, got a commutator that we don't know about?"
I answered her question with a look into her eyes. I didn't trust her either.
"No, I don't have one at all." "I-I don't believe we've met, who are you?"
Her scowl suddenly turned into a confident smile. Undoubtedly, she was going to use me against my will as well.
"Pellegri, the administrator of the U-TIC Organization." "When my superior comes you better show that same level of respect."
I nodded. "I will, I-I only ask of you all to not hurt me."
As a couple guardmen stood to watch over me, Pellegri took her leave, flashing a one final smile at me. "A bit hard considering your defiance, Prototype."
After she left Marglius entered through the door and took over her position at the cell.
"You still desire to starve yourself to death."
"Realians that lack the proper nutrients die far more quickly than us you know."
I shook my head, ignoring the growling of my tummy. "Food is the least of my problems."
"Please, let me at least stretch my legs!"
Marglius disagreed with a fold of his arms.
"I can't trust you for a mere second, we know what you're capable of." "All that it takes is a moment for ether to reach you, charge and put us all to sleep."
He wasn't wrong, I'd taught myself the manipulation of nanotechnology. Ether.
Better known as the Especial Theory of Rudimentary.
While the guards talked amongst themselves, Marglius looked back, eyes sinisterly shining at my torturous expense. "Tomorrow evening we'll meet again, and I trust that you'll voluntarily cooperate."
"If and not, we'll resort to more drastic measures."
As the stars resumed their glitter in the sky I pulled my legs against me, ready to go to sleep. The last sound that entered my ears was a twist of a key, locking the entire jail.
Hope, it was starting to feel non-existent, and that wasn't like me at all to feel that way.
I needed to leave this place, to breathe in fresh air, not take in the scent of steel.
The guardmen had ended their shifts to return with protecting this place called Pleroma.
It's a planetoid, surrounded with asteroids circling around it. The Rescue Secure Force couldn't get a inch near, lazers would fire at them, stopping their advance.
Sometimes those blasts with strike at their AGWS engines, killing the pilots inside.
Before my mind could drift itself off to sleep, I heard loud bang coming from behind the jail door. After that were the sounds of yelling, the shatter of bones. "Requesting backup, it's a agent of SOCE!"
"Kill him, don't let him inside!"
Both the guards didn't last very long, coming at them was a sudden hurl of a fireball.
When made it's impact, the jail door broke with flames coming out the other end.
I smiled, knowing that I was about to be saved.
