Chapter 1. Respawn: Waking Up
Two Demons One Angel
Note: this is based on DC, mostly the Bat family. This story is mostly based off the comic "Robin 2021". It helps with reference. I don't own DC, or the Bat family. I do own four and half charters. A half because he is in the comics, but they don't give much about him. I am italicizing my charters names the first time you see them. So, you know who's my charters are.
Italics are thoughts.
Underlined with italics means flashbacks.
BOLD CAPS MEAN SIGN.
Plain bold means sarcasm. Bold italics are sarcastic thoughts.
'Sounds are italics and signal quote marks.'
'There is some reading of body language, I'm expressing it in signal quote marks.'
Based off YJ then the comics are added.
All of YJ Season 1-4 did happen, but while Conner Kent (Superboy) was saved, they managed to save Wally at the same time. I do not accept that Kaldur likes Garth. Honesty I was thinking of adding in Donna Troy and maybe making them a couple. Yes, Wally and Artimis DO get married. Jason came as the Red Hood in September 2007. The comics follow from there. Roy Harper dose not die. If a Harper must die, then let it be Jim Harper.
The events of YJ begin in the year 2010. I'm making it start back in 1995. Push back everyone's B-days by that much too.
Respawn (name will be change later)
I was in a black pit, no light just awful taunts from I felt pain, I was in chains again, my arms above my head, being the replacement parts for a human guinea pig to advance the original.
Then I heard a soft distant voice say "Please." My eyes flew open.
I sat up, alive, gasping for breath. My head was in overdrive. The last thing I clearly remember is Deathstroke, my father, and Ravager/ Rose my half-sister, both above me as I bled from bullet wounds all over my body.
I looked around. I was in a cave, and I could hear the wind howling outside. I couldn't see much outside of the cave as it was pitch black, some fuzzy looking sticks that were probably trees.
I looked down and saw that I was bandaged everywhere. Wearing my tattered, blood-soaked pants, a thin blanket wrapped around my shoulders, otherwise my chest was bear, no shoes. I could tell that my mask was gone.I started to get up, but I was too dizzy and fell against the wall and slid back down. I sat on a makeshift bed, which consisted of a couple of thin moldy blankets and a torn coat.
"Don't" a girl, who I hadn't noticed before was to the right of my makeshift bed. She was kneeling, tending to a fire with a pot over it. A sweet smell filled my nostrils, I couldn't tell what it was.
All I could manage to say was "Wh" my throat was so dry.
She poured some hot liquid into a bowl, and she came over to me. The girl was dressed in very ripped faded jeans, a filthy tattered red T-shirt, that still covered everything. Also, she had a frayed cloth, a black hood, covering her face. She had long dark hair that reached the ground, not quite black but too dark to be fully wore no shoes; her skin was just in-between tan and white and numerous scars were everywhere. I probably put her height at 4'4. I still couldn't tell her age. From what I could see, she was skin, bones, scars, and muscles. I could see her rib cage, and yet a six pack too. Overall, she looked like a starved warrior.
Who is this girl? Did she kidnap me? Maybe she saved me? Where am I? How am I alive? Where is my father? Where is Rose? She knelt in front of me and offered the liquid. I was so thirsty, but I hesitated. What if it was poisoned?
"Please. I swear I won't hurt you. I will answer your questions after you eat." Her voice was so kind and … heartbroken? I couldn't resist any longer. She helped me gulp it down. I was so grateful. I attempted to talk again.
"Who, where?" I whispered.
The girl said," We are in a cave (duh) in a forest, I not sure where the forest is though." Well at least she seems to be honest. Before I could ask another question, she asked one. "What is your name?"
I hesitated; I mean I had no official name. No one had ever given me one. "Respawn."
"What is your real name?"
"Respawn" I said in a bit of growl.
The girl clenched her hand tight around the bowl. "That's not a name."
"I never had the luxury of being given a name. I'm sure you can't relate." I was getting mad at her. I am sure she was given a name at birth. Just like Damian.
"Actually, I can." I stared at her; her face was still covered but I saw a tear hit her jeans. I waited for her to speak. "My name is Abigail. And if you don't mind, I will give you a real name."
Seriously I thought. I have been absolutely fine on my own-. I stopped myself. I never really spent time with anyone other than Ras Al Ghul and briefly with Rose and my father. "As long as it's not stupid like Bob or Steve."
She chuckled at that, "No, I was thinking Daniel."
