-The Scorpion Stinger -

"Get out of here," Furio shouted as Starcog entered into the throne room, a Stingwinger having been tossed beside him out of the room as Furio noticed him. "How's the matter gone over the scanner?"

"They haven't appeared at the area again, master Furio," Starcog spoke as he bowed hastily, moving to the viewing screen as he turned it on, clicking into the keyboard to set the area it was looking to as Furio watched. "Over the last few days we haven't seen those rangers or where they went. We haven't even found the Magna Defender after your fight with him, though the one from Magnus was seen leaving the forest by the mountains. Should we try for the scanner again?"

"No, they know we're after it now so it'll be better to aim for a different one," Furio spoke as he looked to the Stingwinger he threw out of the room watching two others pick it up and carry it out before he looked to Starcog again. "What about making one ourselves?"

"It will take time as well as parts, but it's possible," Starcog responded as he typed in something else into the keyboard, soon pulling up a satellite. "However, I seem to have noticed what allows them to find out about us so fast. Every time we've appeared, certain satellites have found where we teleport and send it to some unknown area."

"Can you track it," Furio asked, simply getting a shake from Starcog's head before he grunted in annoyance, walking to his throne before he sat down. "First there's those knights which we faced eight hundred years ago, and now there's Power Rangers that can keep their sights on us…"

"Indeed," Starcog responded, typing through the keyboard as he looked to the viewing screen. Furio then sighed as he looked to Starcog. "It seems that whatever fate brought this Magna Defender to Earth has been focused on keeping us from freeing Scorpius…"

"Indeed," Furio muttered, soon hearing a laugh from the monster as they finished keying in a location, revealing a science center. "So what parts do you need?"

"Fortunately, I've been looking over that while we've been quiet based on how that device had looked," Starcog responded, looking back to Furio with a nod. "There's several parts which are easy to come by and that we have here from our plundering over the last eight hundred years, but the final pieces can only be obtained at labs like this one. Luckily for us, too, this one just so happens to be getting ready for renovation in a few days, giving us the perfect opportunity to steal it without anyone noticing."

"Great, but that still leaves having to use something to distract those rangers," Furio muttered as he rested himself back on his throne, looking at the viewing screen. Then, after a moment of silence, he soon began to chuckle in a way that made Starcog look at him confused. "Perhaps we should look into some of the monsters from eight hundred years ago, and see if any are willing to come back…"

-Nathan, Amber Beach fountain-

The skate park seemed to echo all the way to the fountain as Nathan sat back on a bench, his gaze up to the cloudless sky as he went over his current thoughts. 'The guy in the black shirt and hat has been here consistently, same with the one in the red,' Nathan thought to himself as he looked back to the fountain he had been sitting by, his gaze on the two men he had thought on. 'No doubt about it with how they're looking around either, they're two of the rangers from back then. Doesn't seem like Furio had that area we stopped fighting at in their sights either, otherwise he would've had someone here in wait.'

The one in black was riding on a skateboard, rather well as he could see, while the other was more just looking around while he walked, but both were clearly looking for someone as they passed by him for the second time today. However, this was the first time he had actually openly appeared in the area as well, mainly keeping his distance to make sure that Furio and his group hadn't been listening in. As he watched them, the guy on the skateboard looked directly at him, making him smirk before he picked himself up.

'Fast to notice when they're being watched, good,' Nathan thought to himself as he walked over to the two, the guy on the skateboard soon stopping as he said something to the guy in the red shirt. As Nathan walked to them, however, he noticed they were workers over at the dinosaur zoo he saw walk out every now and again while he was keeping an eye on Eric. "Well, I can safely say that our mutual problem wasn't looking here like I was afraid of," Nathan spoke as he walked to the front of the two, watching them look at him confused. "Though I suppose that doesn't explain much since I'm not wearing a set of armor this time."

"…Nathan," Chase asked, getting a nod from the man as the two looked him over. "…You look younger than I thought you would."

"Yeah, feeling rather spry for three-thousand and twenty-seven," Nathan responded, lifting up his left hand before he tapped his right shoulder. Then, with a smirk he looked over the area, noting the few that were around minding their own business before he sighed, shaking his head. "Either way, with the matter of Furio I couldn't be too careful on approaching you all. I'm a bit more clean shaven than I was when I fought beside Ivan, but there was still the chance he could recognize me. Last thing I want is to endanger the people here."

"We get it, Sledge's minions caused similar problems in the past," Tyler responded, looking to Nathan. "We should go to the Dino Lab, though."

"Agreed, there's a lot I want to share with all of you," Nathan responded as he looked between the two before Chase got back on his skateboard as the three started walking out from the fountain area. "I also want to ask the Keeper of the Energems a few questions, as well…"

-Eric, Dino Café-

"Finally, break time," Eric sighed in relief, relaxing as he sat back in a chair in the locker room, having finished a six person order while Riley went out with it. He had only been back since yesterday, however he hadn't had that much of a break despite what few bruises and cuts he had left, having been working on cooking nonstop since some school trips came by to the zoo. As he picked himself back up, he soon pulled out his phone as he opened the notes tab of it, revealing the writings he had written out during his time off.

"Still looking over that translation of yours," Riley asked as he came back into the kitchen, a few of the part time workers now taking over for the two as Riley sat down beside him. "You haven't taken your eyes off it for the last few days."

"I can't help it, the more I look the more I find the writing authentic," Eric responded as he walked over to his jacket hanging on the hangar nearby and pulled out a small book, this one being a rendition of the Tales of Azure and Scarlet as he opened it up, looking to it again as he nodded to himself. As he lifted it up, he winced as he felt his wrist still having a small pain to it, making him sigh. "I probably should be letting my wrist heal sooner than I did, though."

"I'm sure you could've used some free days to rest longer if you asked Kendall," Riley spoke, making Eric look over at him with a smirk before looking back to the book, making Riley look at the book confused. "So what are you trying to find in that book, anyway? Tyler said you seemed to have a realization for something while you were looking at it the first time."

"A place which corresponds with the first line," Eric responded as he sat back down beside Riley, his eye on the book. "I know it's not really something to look over, but the manner of how it's talked about was reminiscent of something that would've been from the tales. However, it doesn't seem to be connected to anything in the tales, even the early spots where the Azure and Scarlet Knights would've probably met."

"What about the seal that Kendall saw," Riley asked, making Eric look at him confused. "She was talking to us about when she was looking for you after you two were separated, having found a room that had a seal with four animals on it."

"Yeah, I saw it when I was hiding from those creatures as well," Eric spoke, soon shaking his head as he realized that she could've ended up caught by those creatures if whatever he heard hadn't started fighting them. Then, with a deep breath as he collected his thoughts, he closed his eyes to remember it. "The Order of Four, a group made up of four knights and founded by Sir Ivan under the king before Colin…"

Then, as he thought that he opened his eyes, a new spark seeming to light up as Riley watched him close the book and go back to his phone, flipping out of his notes. "Did you think of something," Riley asked, only getting a raised hand from Eric as he clicked into an internet browser and started typing something at a rapid pace."

"Of a sort," Eric responded as he looked over the phone before he nodded, an image of the seal from the mountain now on his phone as he looked it over. "Yeah, this could be the final piece. Among the four animals which are part of the seal, the Rhino isn't common in the regions of Zandar. At the same time, the Phoenix is also a creature of myth, making it impossible to even exist anywhere in this world."

"So your question is why they're used," Riley asked, getting a shake from Eric's head as he saved the image, pulling open a new tab on his phone as he started typing something else.

"No, that part I already know since I looked in depth into the two families they represent for the seal," Eric responded as he hit search, looking back up to Riley. "The Rhino is representative of the House of Orathin, which Sir Randalph founded when he left his family name. The Phoenix belonged to a Lady Marianne whose origins came from a peasant house turned nobility. However, the important factor is what elements they were meant to represent..."

-Dino Lab, Kendall-

Kendall sighed as she sat back in her chair, having gone through the stuff she had at the moment. She had been looking over the radar for any signatures of alien readings, as well as looking over the matters for Ivan and his knights order that Philip had found, but there still was very little to be found despite this. "Outside of regions and areas controlled by certain parts, not much can be found on them," Kendall spoke to herself as the door to the lab opened, her back still facing away from it as she looked over the holographic screen. "Did you have any luck finding Nathan? I still can't find much on Randalph and Marianne."

"Nor will you," came a unknown voice, making Kendall turn to see Tyler and Chase standing there with a man in a black shirt and pants, his gaze on the screen in front of her. "The records were destroyed around two centuries ago after Furio tried to attack the families. It was to ensure that the items they hid and their families could be kept safe."

"Really..." Kendall spoke as the man walked past her, looking over the screen. "From the fact that you got in here with Tyler and Chase, I'm guessing you're-"

"Nathan, yeah," the man responded as he shook his head, turning and walking around the place as he was observing it. "This place is just as incredible as Ivan described it. No wonder I didn't even know this place was here, you could even stump some of Scorpius' most technologically advanced monsters with how advance the tech is..."

Kendall just looked at him confused before looking back to the screen, closing the tabs. "Tyler, call Shelby and James to get over here," Kendall spoke, getting a nod from Tyler as she turned over to Chase. "Chase, go upstairs and tell Riley to come down here. I'll contact Keeper and let him know he's here."

"Much appreciated," Nathan spoke as he finally stopped in front of one of the by the entrance he had come in by, looking over to the ceiling as if looking for someone. "How's Eric doing up there? When I saw him last, he had a brace on his wrist."

"He's been working in the kitchen today so I haven't had a chance to see," Kendall spoke as she looked at Nathan. "Why do you ask? That seems like you know him better than just as an acquaintance."

"True, and we have plenty of time to talk about that later," Nathan responded with a nod, looking back to the doors. "However, I'd like to discuss a few things, in particular a few matters with the Keeper of the Energems."

"Why do you need to talk to Keeper," Kendall asked, making Nathan sigh as he put his hand in his pockets, shaking his head.

"I just want to settle a few things that have been constant questions in my head for the last three thousand years," Nathan responded, keeping his gaze on the doors as if pondering something. "After those questions are answered, however, I'll decide on how to deal with the situation."

With that the silence returned, holding for quite a few minutes as Kendall went back to her screen, clicking through some documents before she finally decided to start the conversation again. "And with that, Xenowing should be notifying Keeper since he's gone to Sentai 6 with Heckle. So, while we're waiting for everyone to get in here, how did you end up becoming the Magna Defender anyway," Kendall asked as she turned back to Nathan, making him turn to her confused. "From what we gathered from the Galaxy Rangers, he was trapped at Mirinoi for three thousand years after a battle with Teacheron. Was it the same in our universe?"

"Wait, you mean there's more than just the timelines we've been in?" Nathan asked, confused before he shook his head, holding up a free hand. "I have enough questions that need answering as it is, so I'll ask about that later. However, yes, I did end up finding him on Mirinoi, or rather fell into discovering him when I went down a hole in the ground. I had been running from Furio and his minions at the time, though I didn't know who they were then, and after that I ended up having my life force used by the Magna Defender for five long years."

"Then the situation lines up, though you had a longer period of being connected," Kendall spoke, looking back to the computer as she pulled up a few images that showed a forested landscape and several fights between the Galaxy Rangers and Scorpius' minions, making Nathan look at it shocked. "The Galaxy rangers ended up making it to Mirinoi to keep Furio from obtaining the Quasar Sabers, and the brother of the Red Ranger had also become the next Magna Defender later on. They fought against Scorpius with them back in their dimension, using the power of the Lights of Orion and the Galactabeasts to defeat him."

"...Well, at least there isn't another Scorpius that still exists, at least," Nathan responded as he leaned back, making Kendall look at him. "I ended up there by a golden light and stayed with a local tribe for a few months before Furio's attack. During that time, they never spoke about the Quasar Sabers. They did, however, hold a temple dedicated to the Eight Galactabeasts, in particular the five which had sought shelter there because of the war three thousand years ago."

"You mean the Galactabeasts lived there," Kendall asked, making Nathan nod before she looked at the computer, pulling up a messaging system and a document detailing a list that was sent to her from Kendrix. "I'll need to send a message to Kendrix and the others about that difference, maybe they can see why these changes may have occurred."

"…You sound like Eric used to back when he was still in elementary," Nathan chuckled, leaning back on the table as if reminiscing over something. "He was working on a fourth-grade history project over his family tree, and ended up working on it far harder than he probably should've. Every time he found something that didn't align with what was written he started working it over like a machine, rewriting his stuff to add to it…"

Kendall didn't say anything, typing over a document before she looked over at him. "If it's alright, I'd like to know more on what you know of the war three thousand years ago in our dimension compared to theirs," Kendall spoke as she looked at Nathan. "We still need to wait for the others to arrive anyway, as well as for Xenowing to respond, so it would help stall for time."

Nathan just looked at her confused before he closed his eyes. "…You sound like Ivan did eight hundred years ago," Nathan spoke, opening them finally as he looked at Kendall. "Very well, then let's start with your end of what you were given, and with the fact that there was another version of Scorpius on another dimension…"

-Riley, DIno Lab-

"So the Phoenix represents wind and flames to show a sign of renewal, while the Rhino was a representation of a firm ground to never yield," Riley spoke as he was taking in Eric's explanation, watching as the man was writing down his thoughts on a new piece of paper.

"More or less, but the oaths stated by the family was always 'To stand as firm as the red earth' when you look to the family oath." Eric responded as he finished drawing a near perfect duplication of the symbols of both houses. "There's also the oath of Lady Marianne's family, 'We shall bathe in the blue flames and shed our fears'. With these two in mind, and the fact that both of their regions in early years had been side by side..."

"Instead of it being a meeting place, it's actually a point in which both regions linked together," Riley responded, getting a clap of approval from Eric as he pointed to Riley.

"Exactly," Eric responded as he looked back at the two symbols he drew. "You find the connecting point from where their regions sat side by side, regardless of how big or small it is, then you find the answer to the writing. With that in mind, the first solution is probably a town near the bordered regions which has a monument with both crests on it, but the question would be where..."

"What makes you think it could be in a town," Riley asked, making Eric only smirk before he tapped one line of the deciphered text, making Riley look at it. "This line? 'Where blue flame and red earth still meet under stone?'"

"It's a statement which has a bigger meaning hidden in it if we put the logic of the regions that both families held in the period of King Colin of Zandar," Eric responded as he looked up from the symbols. "The only mountainous parts of Zandar are along the outer regions with the ocassional mountain in the center of certain provinces, and the fact that there isn't any mountains in between the two lands makes that statement null and void. However, the period was also a time where stonework was especially becoming prominent in the center of Zandar, which both Randalf's and Mariannes regions were connected near. Therefore, the best solution for the location isn't a mountain, but a town that was being developed at the time. It could even be a city with how long it's been."

"You thought of all of that from just being told about the seal in the mountain," Riley asked, making Eric chuckle nervously as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Well not completely," Eric responded, soon lowering his hand. "I studied over the regions years back during a school project, so it slipped my mind that it could've been on the same matter. You could almost call it fate that I'm the one who found that writing in there."

As he looked at the writing one final time, they soon heard a door open before looking up, seeing Chase walk in. "Riley, Kendall wants us to see her," Chase spoke, soon seeing Eric and all the stuff he had splayed out on the table. "Oh, hey Eric. How're you feeling?"

"Better, though my wrist still hurts every now and again," Eric spoke as he started picking up his papers, folding them neatly before he stacked them back into his backpack, soon looking at the time. "Looks like my break shift's over anyway, so I won't keep you two sitting around while Ms. Morgan is needing to talk with ya."

"Got it," Riley spoke as he looked at all the stuff Eric had put up. "Still though, Kendall's been looking into that seal as well, so the stuff you found out could really help out with her own research."

"I'll keep that in mind," Eric responded with a nod as he put his apron back on. Then, with a wave he went back into the kitchen, while at the same time Riley and Chase went out in the direction of the lab.

-Thirty minutes later, Dino Lab-

"You sure that we can't also call on Ivan for this," Tyler asked, now a full group in the Dino lab as they sat at the table. Right now there was Shelby, Riley, Chase, Kendall and James sitting at it while Nathan stood at a wall, looking over a sword that Ivan had left during his last visit to the present. At the same time on the screen was Xenowing, who was calling over from his location off planet. "Like maybe just a year after he meets you or something?"

"I recommend not," Nathan spoke as he set the blade back down as he looked at them. "If it's a year after I met him, then his wife will be close to having their second child, and I doubt she would be happy if you dragged him away from having to help over that matter for too long. To add to that-"

"He already has a kid?!" Shelby suddenly burst, making Nathan look at her confused as he tilted his head to her statement.

"Well yeah, wasn't his wife with child before he was sealed by Fury?" Nathan asked, causing everyone to look at him surprised. "…You mean to tell me this is the first time you're all hearing about this? He told me about the time you all met his descendant, so I figured it was common knowledge."

"He hasn't really talked about it in the times he's popped in," Tyler responded, looking back to a picture by the computer, showing a picture of all the rangers. "We haven't really had the time to go see him or Koda back in their times, either, since we don't know what times they'll be free on."

"That's also because there could be damage to the timeline if they did so without specific dates," came a voice as Nathan turned to the source, seeing Keeper walk from the hallway. "It's also better for the timeline if they come here, that way there isn't any major changes to history."

"That does explain what Ivan talked about back then," Nathan spoke as he looked at Keeper, his gaze suddenly stern. "More importantly, you must be the mystical Keeper of the Energems. I would say it's an honor, but certain events have me more in spite of you than not."

"An understandable response, given what you know of the conflict with Sledge," Keeper responded as he looked at Nathan. "However, the destruction of Earth couldn't be avoided at the time, especially with Sledge pulling the Earth out of orbit. The best decision of the time was to destroy the Dark Energem and use the true power of the Energems, turning back time and stopping Sledge millions of years in the past."

"I know and was told as much by the Guardian of the Galaxy Book in this timeline, but that left more questions to me," Nathan responded before he tapped his hand on the wall. "Before I start to talk to everyone over even working together with them, however, I want to confirm a few things which I've been questioning since I returned to earth for the last few millennia. Is that alright?"

Tyler and the rest just looked between Nathan and Keeper, who clearly had more of a pained gaze as he looked at Nathan before finally nodding. "If it can allow us to work together, then I'll answer whatever you want to know."

"Thank you for humoring me," Nathan responded as he placed his hand by the sword again, his gaze still hard. "I had a question about this timeline, in truth. In particular, it seemed that the majority of time even remained the same, placing everything into place like it was with only minor changes and fragments before my return to Earth, but there were also things I had to correct myself at random points."

"That's due to the power of the Energems," Keeper responded, tapping his staff as an illusion started to form in front of the two, the other rangers watching as he waved the staff over it. "Their power, when fully utilized, allows one to change factors of the past with minimal repercussions. This was the case with Sledge and how his destruction prevented the extinction of the dinosaurs. At the same time, their power also forces time to remain on that stagnate path, also allowing the present day in which they come from to remain mostly unchanged. This is why most of this is the case save for the areas you meddled in yourself, as Earth was a place where the Energems had stayed on for millions of years."

"Meaning most of the changes that happened were due to my own actions," Nathan muttered to himself, shaking his head. "Most points in time I had acted in correcting came from my involvement with them at an earlier point in time, especially with Zandar having ended up as it did with Furio's actions in the area."

"Anomalies caused by someone who wasn't meant to be brought to the time by the Energems," Keeper responded as he looked at Nathan. "How did you know the changes were caused by you, though?"

"That's thanks to this," Nathan responded as he pulled back his right sleeve of his jacket, revealing the same symbol that was on his armor: The symbol of the Lost Galaxy. "I was talking to Kendall over the matters of the Galaxy Rangers in the other reality, and found out about how they had also met the Guardian of the Galaxy Book. The same situation was the case in our original timeline, but with the Magna Defender having found the book while on the trail for Scorpius and the Lights of Orion. I ended up freed from my connection to him during that time, but not long after that we ended up meeting the Guardian."

"And shortly after that he ended up becoming the next Guardian at his death," Kendall finished, making Nathan look to her and nod.

"Though I didn't learn how to connect to the power of the book till this timeline when he felt me using the power of the book to seal Scorpius away," Nathan responded as he looked back to Keeper. "He knew my actions would have consequences for the present, so he trained me and put me in charge of helping deal with what would come afterwards. My life is now tied to the book whether I like it or not, though I can say I'm glad since it let me see my family again in this timeline, and how I grew up without being whisked away to Mirinoi."

"Similar to my own tie to the Energems, as was the case for these rangers during the fight against Sledge," Keeper spoke, Nathan simply nodding. "Were these all the questions you had?"

"Almost, though I still had one more," Nathan's hand then clutched into a fist on the wall. "Were there other versions of these rangers in this timeline before their return, which lived their lives before they came here?"

This caught Tyler and the rest by surprise, making them look at Nathan confused as Keeper closed his eyes. "…Yes and No, and that's due to the Energems as well," Keeper finally spoke, making the others look at him next. "The versions of them that were here before did exist, but they could be akin to placeholders for them. The moment the Rangers came to this timeline, the versions of them here merged with them, cementing their placement in this timeline. The same is the case for the people of Earth as well, as the previous timeline was merged into this one to that degree."

"That's the first time we heard of this," Chase spoke as he looked at Keeper, his mind trailing back to when they had returned from fighting Sledge. "But with how much was different with Zandar, I guess that makes sense."

"It also explains why I saw myself with my family still," Nathan responded with a sigh, finally removing his hand from sitting near the sword on the wall. Soon leaning beside it as he held his hand to his face. Then, surprising everyone, he chuckled. "That's good though, if I hadn't come back in time with you all then that version of me would've had to go through my hardships."

"However, that leaves one question for us since the Energems were explained," came Xenowing's voice from the computer, reminding the group he was listening in as they looked over to him, Nathan removing his hand from his face as he looked to the alien. "How did you manage to go through the time portal when we had went back to the past, yet end up at three thousand years ago?"

"That's thanks to another item that coincides with the items used by the Galaxy Rangers," Nathan responded as he looked back at his hand. "I ended up freed from the Magna Defender when he was close to obtaining the Lights of Orion, having their power granted to me at the time. When I entered the portal, the Lights worked as a shield for me and Torozord to go through with, though we still took a bit of damage from the event."

"But that does explain the way you went through," Keeper spoke, closing his eyes as he did so. "The Lights of Orion hold a different form of power which is different from the Energems, allowing for such a scenario to occur if the opportunity is given… Do you still have them?"

"No, they're back on Magnus," Nathan responded as he looked to Keeper. "They can't be used with the power of the Galaxy Book and the Magna Defender's armor, all that power causes too much strain to my body and can cause permanent damage. Because of that, I entrusted them to the Magna Defender and his son to be placed with the Lights of Orion in this timeline, figuring there wouldn't be a better place for them since we dealt with Scorpius."

"Then they're in good hands," Keeper responded with a nod. Then, with a sigh Nathan picked himself up, nodding as he did so.

"Well, you answered my questions fully and I've gotten the answers I was hoping for," Nathan spoke as he looked to Keeper, nodding to him before looking to the rangers still sitting at the table. "Though I have new questions over the facts of there being other ranger groups in other dimensions, the current answers I have definitely help me with how I can deal with you all."

This brought a new tension into the room as he looked over the area, soon closing his eyes as if thinking before he nodded, opening them. "So, like I did with Ivan eight hundred years ago, I'll trust you with what I know," Nathan spoke as he looked at each, soon chuckling as he leaned into the wall again, crossing his arms. "And without a duel to prove if you're truthful, to boot. I must be getting calmer in my old age…"
