Shortly after receiving the request from the Game Development Department, one of Millennium's many clubs, Sensei headed to their clubroom to learn more about the situation.

It was there that he got to know Momoi and Midori, who along with Yuuka, explained the situation. Yuuka, for her part, swung by the club after catching wind of his presence in the campus.

"Sensei, before I go, may I have a word with you?" Yuuka asked before sighing at the shivering twins. "Don't worry, this is a personal matter separate from your club's situation."

"Of course," Sensei said before stepping outside the clubroom with her.

"Don't fall for her tricks, Sensei!" Momoi yelled, causing Sensei to chuckle a little.

"I won't, don't worry."

"Please don't actually believe what they're saying, Sensei!" Yuuka exclaimed. She pouted as she saw Sensei's smirk, indicating that she was teasing her. "Sensei, you meanie."

"Haha. I know you're just doing your job." Sensei chuckled. "So, is this about your proposal from last time?"

"Have you considered it?" Yuuka asked.

"A certain student from another school seemed to think it was a good idea too," Sensei said. "Frankly, it never occurred to me that there were ways I could use my cooking to help others, so I thought I'd give it a shot."

"I'm glad you're at least willing to give it a try," Yuuka said with a smile. "I'll have to thank whoever convinced you to do it."

"I'm sure the two of you will cross paths sooner or later in SCHALE," Sensei said. "At the latest, perhaps during the Sand Festival."

"The Abydos Sand Festival…" Yuuka muttered. "I overheard President Rio talking about it to the President of Veritas about the current situation in Abydos. A number of student researchers were also interested in the development and were requesting funding to research the phenomenon. I heard there was a sword in the middle. Do you have a clue on how an oasis showed out of nowhere, S-e-n-s-e-i~?"

"Who knows?" Sensei gave a noncommittal shrug.

"Hmmm…I guess I'll approve a few of the funding requests then," Yuuka said with a knowing smile, having grown familiar with Sensei's habit of avoiding compromising questions after helping him with SCHALE's paperwork for a while. Before leaving, she turned her gaze to the GDD clubroom one last time. "I'll leave them in your capable hands, Sensei."

"Don't worry, I'll make sure they stay out of trouble," Sensei said.

"Me and my terrible luck…" Sensei muttered as he, Momoi, and Midori were taking cover from the hail of bullets from the robots guarding the ruins.

Shortly after Yuuka left, the twins continued with finding a solution to their problem. Eventually, the topic of the came up. Apparently, it was rumored to contain something that would help the Game Development Department's current problem and that it was found in the very ruins which they later found themselves in.

Unfortunately, they were also caught by the robots guarding the ancient ruins, thus leading to their current predicament.

"Sensei, what are your instructions?" Midori's voice was heard from Sensei's earpiece as he was operating the Shittim Chest to oversee the battlefield's current situation.

"I'll deal with the large one myself. Momoi, give me some covering fire. Midori, aim at the stragglers. Wait for my signal."

"Understood!"

"I'll treat you to some ice cream later, Sensei!" Momoi exclaimed.

Sensei thought about which sword he should use. He could easily end this by himself by using some of his powerful ones, but refrained from doing so, realizing that the girls were in no real danger while he was with them. That, and he thought it was a good opportunity to teach them about live combat in a semi-controlled environment.

Calling upon his bow and a nameless sword altered into an arrow, he gave the signal to the twins as he popped out of cover during a small pause in the gunfire and fired at the large mechanical weapon.

The arrow pierced right at the mecha's weak point and caused it to explode while Momoi and Midori dealt with the smaller opponents. There was a slight rumbling from the chain explosion, but nothing too serious.

After making sure that the coast was clear, Sensei, Momoi, and Midori quickly left the area, avoiding the remaining robots still patrolling the area. Eventually, they arrived at a corridor.

"Phew, I'm glad we got through all that!" Momoi exclaimed.

"It's all thanks to Sensei's instruction," Midori said. "Also, he looked really cool while firing that bow earlier."

"Oh yeah! I didn't ask earlier because I was panicking, but what was that Sensei?! You look like a hero that popped out of a comic book!"

"You could say that it was a kind of…Mystic that I can use, if I were to use Kivotos terminology."

"Much like our halos, then!" Momoi said. "I'm surprised you don't have your own halo, Sensei. You're more or less as durable as the average student in Kivotos."

"I'm not too sure about the specifics either," Sensei admitted. "This is merely conjecture based on what I've seen so far, but it might have to do with the differences on the paths taken by Kivotos and where I came from with regards to Mystic and Science."

"Science, Sensei?" Midori asked.

Of course she would be a bit curious, Sensei thought. Millennium's full name is Millennium Science School, after all. And as a student of said school, Midori, and even Momoi it seems based on how she got a little closer, would be curious when introduced to a foreign view on what they have regarded as common sense to them.

"Where I came from, the development of Mystic and Science were diametrically opposed, so the practice of the former is a dying breed. But it seems Kivotos found a way to balance the two, as I'm sure you could tell."

Midori nodded. "Research into the Mystic is one of the many avenues for research in Millennium, but I'm not really keen on the details myself. Maybe Kotori from the Engineering Department would know more."

"I'll probably visit them given the chance," Sensei said, a glimmer of interest showing in his eyes. It would be a nice change of pace to talk to people that know about the intricacies of technology. Perhaps he would be able to learn some new tricks on how to repair more complicated pieces of technology while he was at it too.

"Oooh…! All this talk about Science and Mystic is giving me some ideas about a new game!" Momoi exclaimed. "I can't wait to write all this down later!"

Sensei kept watch of the surroundings even while talking to the twins. You never know if there was a stray security robot patrolling this area. Though it seems that this area was clear, as they were able to smoothly traverse the hallway until they came across a locked door.

"Sensei, do you think you could just force it open with your magic?" Midori asked.

"I could, but it would likely trigger the alarm in this place," Sensei said as he pointed to the security system on the nearby wall.

"We didn't notice that at all! Your magic is so cool, Sensei!" Momoi's eyes seemed to twinkle in delight.

It seems that Momoi and Midori have taken a liking to calling his abilities as 'magic'. Well, it's not like they're the only ones, as Hoshino herself had started calling it that too after the events of that night. Probably didn't help that he used improper terminology at that time too.

Sensei shrugged it off as he continued inspecting the door. He wasn't one to argue on the semantics either, and it would be better if they continue to see Mystic the way they've always viewed it instead of the view his peers have back home.

This world is much more accepting of Mystics after all. And he would rather it remain that way.

Sensei's gaze turned from the door to the keypad on the wall next to it and approached it. As he analyzed it, his mind was flooded with information. He quickly looked away as he put a hand on his forehead.

"Is something wrong, Sensei?" Momoi asked. "You look pale all of a sudden."

"It's nothing. I was just feeling a little lightheaded."

"Should we take a break?" Midori asked.

"That would actually be a good idea. But perhaps we should do so in a safer area. Let me just—" Sensei's mind was once more flooded with information as his hand touched the keypad.

When his mind returned to normal, he found himself floating in mid-air.

Correction. He was falling. He quickly grabbed the twins who were close to him with one arm as he materialized a dagger with a chain, throwing it as hard as possible with his free hand on the nearest wall and clung to it.

"Oof!" "Ow…" Momoi and Midori said respectively.

"Sorry about that. Are you two okay?" Sensei asked.

"Oh Sensei, you're back to normal!" Momoi sighed in relief.

"I must've scared you, huh? My bad," Sensei said. "Let's go down first."

Momoi and Midori explained that shortly after Sensei got another headache, the keypad started talking with a robotic voice, identifying Sensei, Momoi, and Midori by name, and how Sensei was qualified to enter the bottom door with his students.

"It was most likely a joke from whoever created this place," Sensei said, recalling bits and pieces from the information he gleaned. "More importantly…Look over there."

Sensei directed the twins' attention to the center of the room they found themselves in, finding a girl without clothes lying on a chair on top of a platform.

"A girl…?" Momoi said as she and Midori approached the platform, with Sensei following close behind.

As the girls poked at the sleeping girl, Sensei managed to glean a little about the girl, or rather, a robot in the shape of a young girl, before he forcibly stopped analyzing the girl lest he suffer from another headache. He surmised that it was less from not comprehending anything as he did gain fragments of knowledge and more that he was unable to sympathize with the history of its making due to being an outsider to properly decipher said knowledge, which was why he was getting a headache every time he analyzed part of the ruins.

As for the girl…

She has a hint of divinity, but is somehow created by human hands? I can't decipher this properly. It's too far back and too different from the history I know… Sensei noted as he looked at the girl.

Looks like he'll have to visit the Engineering club and a library to brush up on his knowledge regarding mechanics and Kivotos history respectively. That will have to wait however, as he noticed the letters on the girl's body.

"AL-IS…" Momoi muttered as she noticed the same thing. "Is that supposed to be her name? How do you even pronounce that?"

"It's actually AL-1S," Sensei corrected. "It must be her model number."

"So she's some kind of robot?" Momoi asked. "This is the first time I've seen one that looks so much like us! Also her skin's so smooth!"

"It might be better to wake her up and ask her," Midori said. "We should give her some clothes first. I brought some with me."

Sensei was going to offer to make some clothes for the girl, but held back as remembered Midori packing a change of clothes before heading to the ruins.

"Is that sound coming from her?" Momoi asked.

[Beep. Beep.]

"I think so," Midori replied.

The girl's body made a whirring noise, like a machine that was being turned on.

"Circumstances unknown." The robot girl said as she scanned the room before turning her gaze on the group. "Attempt conversation. Please explain."

After a little bit of talking, they realized that the girl didn't have any memory of who she was, or why she was created. After making sure that the girl didn't pose any threat, Sensei, Momoi, and Midori brought the amnesiac girl to the club room.

Sensei had some suspicions on the girl's purpose based on what he gleaned, but he ignored it for the moment as right now all he could see was a lost and confused girl, which somehow reminded him of his younger self.

"Wait, where did you even get that name? Isn't her name AL-1S?" Midori asked.

"That one would take too long to say! Besides, this one's cuter. Trust me—a dev knows best."

"Is Aris okay with you?" Sensei asked the girl.

"..." The girl fell silent before she smiled a little. "Confirmed. Unit designation: Aris."

Momoi then suggested to have Aris disguise herself as a Millennium student and join the Game Development Department as its newest member, meeting the minimum member condition for a club.

As the twins were preoccupied, Sensei went to a corner and was about to Shittim Chest to talk to Arona when he noticed that the locker was occupied by someone. A quick analysis of the locker showed that it was one Hanaoka Yuzu's personal space, and that she had been spending some time inside playing games shortly after they left for the ruins.

Apparently, she was super shy, with Midori confirming that to be the case when he brought it up, who mentioned that their president was not good with people. After greeting the girl in the locker, who was startled.

"H…Hello…" Yuzu's voice was almost a whisper.

"Yuzu, are you alright with Sensei and Aris being here?" Midori asked Yuzu.

"Y-Yeah, I heard the gist of it while you guys were talking," Yuzu said while peeking out a little from the locker. "I-It's okay, I approve of your plan."

Sensei was a little concerned at how he missed Yuzu's presence in the room before remembering that he was actively trying not to analyze anything as much as possible ever since he met Aris lest he risk another headache.

"Did you notice that she was here, Arona?" Sensei asked as he pressed on his earpiece.

"Yes. I noticed that she was in the room the entire time, but I didn't think it was dangerous for her to know about Aris. Besides, she'll find out sooner or later if Aris is going to join the Game Development Department," Arona replied.

For some reason, only he could hear Arona, so he could talk to her openly like this by pretending to be on a call.

"I'm sure it'll be fine, Sensei!" Arona said. "We could always spend some time keeping an eye on things at any rate."

"Well, I guess that's as good a plan as any," Sensei said. "Oh, I should also prepare lunch for them."

It took Sensei some time to find a kitchen after asking Momoi for directions, who led him to the school cafeteria, bought him an ice cream as she promised earlier, before leaving to have Aris' ID made and possibly procure a weapon for her.

He failed to take into account the fact that it was lunchtime and that the cafeteria would be packed with students. Or that his cooking would somehow attract the other students' attention, who were already curious as to what SCHALE's Sensei was doing in their school's kitchen. Or the fact that his presence in Millennium's cafeteria would somehow spread in social media.

He ended up having to cook for pretty much the entirety of the student population, and then some, not that he minded as he enjoyed cooking after all. He did raise an eyebrow as he noticed four students bearing the emblem of Gehenna on their weapons come in and eat, audibly showering his cooking with praise before leaving in peace, promising to meet him at another date. Some of the students seemed to recognize them and were wary, but sighed in relief when they noticed that they left.

Wonder who those four could be…?

Also, he could have sworn he saw a few students in a maid outfit here and there, but maybe he was just tired. It had been a long day, after all.

By the time he came back to the GDD clubroom with their food, it had already been three hours. He waited a little bit before entering so as to not interrupt the heartwarming talk between Aris and the others.

Aris' own development in the short time he was away while playing an RPG, plus the fact that his cooking seemed to have a profound effect to those who tasted it for the first time for some reason, caused the GDD to later add a kitchen to their clubroom, with Aris spending much of her time in it if she wasn't playing games or helping in Sensei's restaurant.
