Chapter 5:

Sam's phone started to ring just as everyone finished eating dinner. Everyone's eyes landed on the phone as Sam rose to grab his phone.

"Hello this Sam," Sam said as he answered his ringing phone with his pack and the league stared at his back, "who is- Hello Alice I see that you and your family decided to join the meeting."

Bella's body was still tense about seeing her ex again so soon then what he had just done. Tom gave her hand a soft squeeze of comfort, making her smile at her husband. She felt at peace when she was with her husband, even IF Jacob continued to glare at them.

Sam's pack were smiling as Sam continued, "That's good! I can hand over the phone to one of Bella's teammates if you can… oh."

The room went stiff at that oh, Bella was already standing as Jacob frowned at whatever he and the others were about to hear. Sam's face held a look of shock then it morphed into frustration before melting into amazement.

"So he finally made Dr. Cullen snap," Sam sighed as he studied the room, "seeing how everyone is pretty tense from the brat's actions, let's set the meeting for Friday then. Alright then see you all there, bye."

Bella and the others waited as Sam hung up the phone as he turned to everyone.

"We have a day set."

"Sam what did you mean by 'he finally made Dr. Cullen snap'?" Bella asked. Jacob nodded in agreement with Bella.

"Given the fact that once we transform," Sam sighed again, addressing his pack, "you all find out that way and just tell the league here, so…"

Everyone was so shocked to hear what happened in the Cullen household from start to finish. Jacob's eyes were widening after each bit of the story was revealed.

"They really disowned him," both Bella and Jacob said at the same time.

"I figured it would happen one day," Mina said, "from the stories I heard about him, but to saying that to the man that would help him throughout the years is a low blow."

Bella nodded in agreement, still stunned and appalled by her ex's words and actions. But she felt a sharp pang of guilt after hearing that the rest of the Cullens still cared about her.

"But for now we have four days before meeting the Cullens," Tom said, "and since it's already dark out, I think we all should get some sleep and get our frustrations out before then."

Everyone agreed with that as the pack ran out of Billy's house to the woods, while the league and Charlie drove back to his home. After dropping off Charlie, Bella, and Tom at the Swan's residence the others drove to the hotel they were staying at. After locking the door behind them, Charlie made his way up to his bedroom, clearly tired from all of the Cullen's drama plus getting his arm unlocked again.

Tom went around to help Bella lock up the back door and windows before following her upstairs to lock up the remaining windows. After changing from the white button down shirt, jeans, boots, and his duster coat to a black T-shirt and sweatpants in the bathroom he walked into his wife's old bedroom. It hasn't changed that much from when they met again, the bookshelf next to the window over by Bella's old desk. In fact Bella and Charlie said that besides the bookshelf everything in the room was still the same when Bella first moved back here at seventeen.

He heard Bella sighing tiredly before the sound of her body just flopping onto her bed. Tom's eyes landed on his wife.

She was now wearing a dark gray tank top with a pair of purple pajama bottoms. Tom walked over to the light switch turning off the lights before walking over to the bed and plopped down next to her. Bella curled herself into Tom's chest as his arms snaked around her.

They laid there absorbing everything that happened that day. Tom pondered over something as he traced circles into Bella's shoulder blade.

"Mr. Sawyer," Bella's muffled voice said, "what are you thinking about?"

"Well Mrs. Sawyer," Tom hummed, "I think we should go on a date tomorrow to get our minds off of your ex."

Bella pulled back to smile at her husband. Before sighing again.

"But," Bella explained as she rolled onto her back, "he'll definitely stalk us wherever we go in Forks."

"Maybe," Tom says, "but he'll just be stalked by the Cullens in return."

"I don't think they'll do that," Bella laughed.

"Oh with all the stunts he pulled," Tom said, pulling his wife back into his chest, "I doubt that they'll even let him leave the house by himself."

Bella hummed as she replied, "Alright. It's been a while since we've been on a date."

Tom grinned as he nodded in agreement. They talked quietly as they drifted off to sleep.

-With Mina, Allan, and Orlando-

"Mina love," Allan says, "please come to bed."

Orlando and Allan watched their love pacing back and forth worried. Her scarf wasn't around her neck so Mina's scars. She sighed as she trekked over to bed as she sat down. Allan wrapped his arm around her as Orlando placed a comforting hand on her back.

"I'm so worried about her being back here," Mina sighed, "and I want to take Excalibur to stab her ex boyfriend."

"Honestly," Orlando says, "I do as well."

"As does the rest of the team," Allan says, "but we need to stay level headed over these next few days."

Mina laughed as she said, "Usually I'm the one keeping everyone from killing people."

"But I have a feeling that if we do attack him," Allan continue, "he'll try to convince Bella that we're a danger to her."

Mina paused as she mulled that over. From the stories she heard about him and from how he reacted today any sign of violence would make him believe that he would have proof of Bella being in danger.

"Plus," Orlando pointed out, "if memories serve me, he can read minds so he'll be trying to get anything on all of us."

The three shuddered at the thought of some immortal teen ruffling around in their minds. However Orlando seemed to get over it before laying down, semi dragging Mina and Allan down with her. They decided to get some sleep after that.

-With the rest of the league-

"Man, Isa's ex boyfriend is so dumb!" Skinner sighed. "Even if she wasn't already married, he can't truly believe she'd be single after all of these years."

There was a hum of tired agreement around the table of their hotel suite. Jekyll took another sip of his drink contemplating over something.

"Do you think Aro told Mr. Masen?" Jekyll asked, looking at Skinner.

The other two stared at the doctor in surprise before looking over at the invisible thief. Skinner raised an eyebrow at him as he took a sip from his glass.

"I doubt it," Skinner replied, "he just got out of being imprisoned within the tower for the last five years. If I was him I wouldn't want to go back and besides, he was repulsed by the Cullen's actions. Moreover Masen's actions."

The kind doctor nodded at him as he took another sip from his glass as Skinner's phone dinging at him.

"Huh? Why is Tom and Bella texting me?" Skinner asked, grabbing his phone.

As Skinner checked his phone his face pale as he dropped his phone. The other three looked at him in confusion.

"Is everything alright?" Nemo asked.

Griffin snickered as he asked, "Did the love birds accidentally send you a lovey dovey text?"

"No they didn't," Skinner said, "but I certain wolf brat told Arronax and Utterson what is happening here."

"What?" Griffin asked as Nemo and Jekyll went stiff.

Skinner let out a nervous laugh as he said, "They'll be here tomorrow."

Griffin paled as he muttered, "Oh shit."

"I'm going to text the others," Jekyll said as he grabbed his cellphone. Nemo remained completely silent as everyone quietly panicked.
