Bella had to go through the rounds of who she was, where her parents were, what happened to the broken pieces of the carriage she was found by, and what exactly bit her. So far Bella has managed to convince the adults around with the acting she got from the pack and her dad, plus her being a child right now helps her sell the poor innocent child story she made up: She and her parents were traveling to England for the first time when a mad man and his wild dog attacked the family. Killing the parents and believing that his dog had killed the girl before deciding to steal the carriage with her parents' bodies.

During her stay with the orphanage, the police had found a broken carriage with a dog's corpse halfway down into the ocean. So it was assumed that Bella's 'parents' and their killer were caught within the waves and taken out to sea. Thus making Bella an orphan. The adults were worried about how little Bella was speaking until one day it changed.

Bella was just strolling behind the other laughing orphan children, wondering how she could get in touch with Didyme so they can stop the end of the world, when two girls stopped in front of her. Both girls had fair skin yet one had blonde hair and blue eyes, dressed in a pink dress and stared at her with excitement while the other had dark brown hair and green eyes, dressed in a light blue dress and studied her carefully. Bella noted that the girls must be at least a year or two older than her. She studied the black dress she chose to wear, in order to grieve for her 'recently departed parents', but she felt uncomfortable being put under observation by two young girls.

"Oh Mina," the blonde squealed, "look at her! She does look like the perfect combination of your parents."

'Huh?' Bella thought, as she noticed three adults, two ladies and one man, close by with the orphanage owner and yeah she looked like the dark brown hair girl's parents. The brunette man studied her with the same curious green eyes before turning back to the building's owner. The black hair woman stared at Bella lovingly while the blonde hair lady was almost squealing as she glanced at the girls.

'Wait,' Bella thought, 'am I about to be…'

"Lucy, Mina," the blonde lady called out to them, "it's time to go home now. Let's go now, make sure you two show Isabella to the carriage."

'Wait,' Bella thinks as Lucy grabbed her hand and started to drag her while Mina stayed at her side, 'Lucy and Mina? I know that I have read those names somewhere before, but where?'

Bella waved goodbye to the orphanage before being loaded into a carriage and now has to talk to the three adults. The man was the first to speak to her.

"Hello Isabella," the man stated, "from now on I will be your father, this is your mother and sister, Mina. You have an older brother who is currently busy at the moment."

"Alright father," Bella replied in a respectful tone, sitting perfectly still like a doll. Which impressed her adoptive father. Her new mother sighed as her blonde friend smiled at the three girls.

"I was right once again," the blonde stated, which caused Bella's new parents to sigh, "Isabella Murray has a good ring to it."

"You're right Mrs. Westenra," Mina replied, placing a hand on Bella's shoulder, "you're right."

-Fourteen years later-

"And then he proposed to me," Lucy said happily, "which I accepted of course."

"That wonderful Lucy," Bella said before turning to her sister and asking, "Did you get any word from Jonathan yet?"

Mina sighed as she replied, "No. I hope he is alright."

Bella frowned, knowing that the poor guy isn't doing so well if she was correct. Since this is the plot of Dracula, meaning that Lucy and Mina will be…

She noticed the sad expression on her sister's and friend's faces as they stared at her. Bella raised an eyebrow at them clearly confused onto why they were saddened.

"Oh Isabella," Lucy said, "I'm sorry I forgot about…"

'Oh right,' Bella thought, 'my previous engagement.'

It started out simple, Bella was engaged to a young man who resembled Edward too much for her taste, but apparently there was a huge scandal with his family and her fiancée's life was taken on their wedding day. Without either one saying their vows. Now everyone is acting awkward around her even after a year and a half.

Bella sighed as she stood up.

"It's alright," Bella sighed, "I want to forget about it though."

"What a great idea!" Lucy said standing as well, followed by Mina. "Let's go on a small walk for now."

The trio got ready and left for Lucy's home. As they walked the streets, Bella's mind was still clouded by her previous engagement and past relationship.

'What if Edward came back and asked me to marry him?' She thought. 'Would I just have accepted it instantly or after multiple refusals? And if we were engaged, would he actually go through with it? What if he decided to leave me during the engagement period or at the wedding?'

The last thought Bella had before almost running into someone was, 'Even if he married me, would he even turn me?'

"Oh!" Bella exclaimed after stepping back. "I'm sorry. I did not look at where I was walking."

"It's quite alright ma'am," a southern American male voice said, "I should have seen where I was walking too."

As Bella looked up she froze at the blond hair man standing before her, he had a lanky but strong build to him, he was dressed in a white button down shirt, a gray vest, gray pants, and black boots. He had a boyish charm to him in his smile, yet his eyes held a sense of wisdom to them, both made Bella's heart flutter.

"Oh Mr. Sawyer," Lucy replied happily, "it's good to see you again."

Mr. Sawyer's brown eyes left Bella to look over at Lucy and Mina. He nodded at them as he replied, "Good day Miss Lucy, sorry for intruding on your outing."

"It's fine," Lucy replied, before gesturing to Mina and Isabella, "this is my friend Mina Murray and you have just met her younger sister sabella."

"Mina and Isabella," Lucy introduced, "this is Tom Sawyer. He and Quincey met each other on their way to England."

"Nice to meet you Mr. Sawyer," Mina said, polite as always.

Bella managed to say, "Yes it is nice to meet you Mr. Sawyer."

"It's nice to meet you two as well," Sawyer said, before looking at his pocket watch, "I would love to continue this conversation but I have to be somewhere."

"Alright," Mina replied, "goodbye Mr. Sawyer."

As he bid his adieu to the other two ladies his eyes lingered on Bella's before turning and leaving. Bella could feel her face flushing as she turned to leave, unfortunately she now had to deal with an excited Lucy and a teasing Mina.

But Bella didn't mind at all, in fact she felt so happy right now.

'Maybe I was overthinking about the Dracula plot,' Bella thought, 'after all Bram Stoker must've taken inspiration from Vlad the impaler stories.'
