'Why does the world hate me?'

That was the thought of a statue like Bella with Mina weeping beside her along with her unwell husband, Bella's brother-in-law, Jonathan. As they stood in front of the Westenras' family tomb where Mrs. Westenra and poor sweet Lucy were placed as their final resting place. Lucy, Bella's and Mina's childhood friend, was gone now before she could even have her wedding. She looked over at the three grieving men who were truly in love with the now gone Lucy, she felt pity for them knowing that they gave up their blood to Lucy while trying to save her. She looked away trying not to cry only to notice that Professor Van Helsing was standing right next to her. The old man looked saddened as the tomb was closed.

"I'm sorry for your loss," he addressed her, "I know that your sister and you were close to Miss Lucy."

Bella held her head as she said quietly, "Thank you Professor, for talking to me and trying to save poor Lucy."

"Oh Mina," Jonathan spoke to his grieving wife, "at least she can rest peacefully now."

'Let's hope so…' both Bella and the Professor thought as they looked at the tomb. Where Lucy now sleeps, hopefully only as a corpse.

-Later-

"Mrs. Harker," Van Helsing stopped Mina after they discovered what Count Dracula was.

"Yes Professor?" Mina asked.

"Your younger sister, Isabella," the old man asked, "do you know what happened to her parents and how she got that scar on her wrist?"

Mina sighed as she explained, "Yes, their carriage was attacked by a mad man and his wild dog on their trip to England. The mad man killed her parents and his dog had bitten my sister. She was the only survivor of tragedy."

The Professor hummed then thanked her as he walked away, leaving Mina suddenly confused and suspicious.

'Why did he ask about Isabella's past?' She thought, deciding to look into everything she had about the accident.

-Later-

"MINA! ISABELLA!"

Bella's ears were still ringing from her trying to fight off Dracula, so hearing Aurthor crying out for them in fear from the doorway of Jonathan's and Mina's bedroom in Jack's hospital. Bella's blurry vision left the broken door over to an unconscious Jonathan before finally finding Mina. Where Dracula was holding her.

Bella thought that he would be the same type of vampire as the Cullens, but he was different, so different from the Cullens and the newborn armies. Bella never knew that there were more types of vampires in the world. But for now she had to get her sister out of his grasp.

As she was struggling to get up Dracula looked at her with interest. Then he hissed as Professor Van Helsing shoved a cross in his face, making him drop Mina. Bella shakenly caught Mina and held onto her as she watched the count fly out the window. Then the blood loss finally made her blackout.

"-Bella! Isabella! Please!"

Bella groaned as she opened her eyes to see Mina practically standing over her with tears in her eyes. Before Bella could say a word she was scooped into Mina's arms. Bella looked frazzled as she awkwardly wrapped her arms around her sister.

'The last time we were like this,' Bella thought, 'I was sick after moving in with them.'

Her shoulder brushed against her neck she jumped at the stinging sensation and the bandages wrapped around her neck. She suddenly remembered what happened the night before.

She heard Mina and Jonathan screaming, but she couldn't find the other men so she went to save them. She took a cross and axe with her alongside a candle. She bursts through the door to attack the vampire, but she was caught by him and after that…

She hugged Mina more tightly as she realized that she almost lost her sister. Because even if she save the world she could still lose her dad once she returns. her mom and her grew distant after her graduation, it was for Renee's and Phil's safety of course, but her dad stayed by her side after finding out everything. Now he could be gone forever. So Mina is the only thing she has left.

"Why didn't you tell me you were attacked by a vampire?"

Bella pulled back looking at Mina confused. What does Mina mean?

Mina gingerly grabbed Bella's wrist and showed it to the two crescent scars. And Bella froze up as she realized what she meant. She looked away with fear in her eyes. Mina sighed as she dropped Bella's arm.

"You must've been so scared," Mina said softly, "losing your parents then losing Lucy. No wonder you almost died while trying to protect me."

Bella looked over at a tearful Mina as she hugged onto her again.

"But please don't throw your life away for me," Mina wept, "I can't lose you as well."

Bella sighed as she hugged her back.

"Alright Mina," Bella muttered, not fully wanting to fully answer Mina. Knowing that if something like this ever happened again, Bella will do anything to protect Mina again.

-Later-

"Come to us sisters~!"

Bella glared at the three vampiric women, who were very deep in the woods, while Mina was asleep beside her. She was eternally grateful that Professor Van Helsing laid a ring of garlic flowers around them before everyone went to sleep. She figured that if Dracula's brides keep their distance then-

"Come here to us~!"

"Yes~! Come here~!"

Bella yelped as they got closer to them. Mina woke up too and got scared from seeing them there, both Mina and Bella shook from fear. Both remembered how Jonathan described these horrid women and how bold they were acting now made them terrified.

They laid back down trying to ignore the ladies' malicious voices all night as their hearts were pounding by the minute. The monstrous ladies left while Bella and Mina finally fell asleep right before sunrise.

Bella woke up to the sound of bloodcurdling screeches from a decrepit castle from the wagon she and Mina were asleep in. Then she heard the wolves howling. As she looked down to see a dozen wolves creeping towards them.

Bella hissed out, "No!"

Before a wall of blue fires made them jump back before going back into the woods. Oddly enough, they looked like they respected and understood her. As she wondered what just happened Mina leaned forward to study the blue flames disappearing in front of them.

"I guess I wasn't the only one to gain a small bit of his powers then," Mina said half asleep. Bella looked startled by her but looked back out the wagon.

'Yeah,' Bella thought as the professor ran out of the castle, 'but at least it will be over soon.'

-Later-

'Well it's finally over now,' Bella thought as she looked over the remaining hunters. Saddened that Quincey Morris lost his life while fighting Dracula, but now Mina and Bella are free from the vampire's grasp. However Bella noticed that Mina's neck was covered in scars from Dracula's attack, it made her wonder when she'll be getting those scars as well.

But she was so tired too, which was odd as to why. Dracula is gone now, so Mina and Bella should go back to normal, so why doesn't Bella feel normal yet?

She decided to lay down and get some sleep…

"Bella!"

Bella's eyes shot open as Didyme stood over her with a terrified expression. Then she shielded her eyes before she could adjust to the white void around her. She propped her up by her elbows as she smiled tiredly at the ghost.

"Hiya Didyme," Bella sighed, "that must've been crazy for you to watch, huh? So how do we-"

"Did Dracula bite you?" Didyme asked, looking paler than normal, "did you go through his transformations?"

Bella was panicking as she replied, "Y-yes, why? Is it bad?"

Didyme started to pace around, nervously mumbling to herself. Bella stared at her trying to figure out why she was panicking. When she thought back to the count it was crazy.

"I thought you guys were the only vampire," Bella said aloud. Didyme froze up as she looked anywhere but Bella.

"Oh my kind is," Didyme said, "due to the extermination of the Dracula kind."

Bella looked surprised at hearing that.

"What happened?" Bella asked, confused.

Didyme sighed as she explained, "After Dracula's death, and then the book got popular, human hunters and our kind decided to kill off the last of them. By the time my brother and husband tried to stop it, the last half vampire was killed in the 1920s."

"Well I understand the humans," Bella said, "but why did your kind kill off another race of vampires?"

"Because of the effects of our venom," Didyme answered nervously, "it's because a lot of vampires, like the Cullens, decided to excart the venom out of the human they had bitten. So the venom does a little failsafe on itself and leaves a little bit of itself behind in the human so another one of us could detect said human and turn them."

Bella nodded along already figuring that out.

"But if a different type of vampire bites said human and gets them into the process of turning," the Greek vampire continued, "even if the vampire in question is killed during that time, thanks to the venom it will rewrite itself into whatever vampire was."

"What?" Bella's eyes widened at the sudden implication. Didyme looked at her with the same realization, but tried to smile and brush it off.

"Would you like to be called Countess or Princess of Darkness?"
