A Dream. A dream that Kenichi was going through was one in which he was going out with his family , going to the mall , enjoying their time as the loving Natsuki family. Then , suddenly Subaru disappeared , the area around him changed to total darkness and he saw Subaru's corpse on the floor , bleeding out , reaching his hand to touch something. He then woke up.
A nightmare , one that he was used to seeing , he wiped the sweat off his brown , these nightmares were frequent in the years that came when Subaru , his son disappeared.
Whenever he woke up , he would tell himself , there was no news yet , he could be hopeful , he knew it was a lie , a little tiny white lie that he tells himself to keep going , he needed to keep going for his wife and his son , whom he did not know the condition of.
Yet today though , it was different , the white lie he always tells himself turns out to be the absolute truth , the truth that his son was indeed still alive in the new world that he was transported to. It was the truth that he could keep going on , there was a tomorrow with his family , the nightmares might not stop , but it will get replaced with actual true memories.
He woke up and stretched. It has been awhile since he got a full sleep that was mostly peaceful , he looked beside him , his wife sleeping soundly, unlike him , it seems that she did not have any nightmares like he did, her breathing was stable and she wasn't crying. A good sign , she used to cry often and call out Subaru's name while she slept. He smiled. It was a new day and it was another day getting closer to meeting his son again , his heart was pumping with excitement at the thought of it.
Thinking back on the day before , it was a very long and emotional day for them , it was their son's birthday , they got transported to their current world , they met people who clearly cherish Subaru and thought of him highly, and a girl..a beautiful silver hair girl that he loves and loves him back , he was really glad that Subaru found a place he belong , he thoughts went back to the days where he was stuck in his room unable to go to school and compared to whatever he has heard, he wondered how much he had changed , how more mature he had become.
He decided to look outside the window , it was bustling with people , they were all moving around quickly , he saw various of what they call "Kararagi"-style items moving around , to him they look japanese , so it brought comfort to him , he knew that most likely , they were gathering said items because they were preparing for Subaru's visit. It still felt bizarre to him , a whole city moving to fit the taste of a specific person, his son to be exact.
Thinking back of whatever was told to him still felt like a dream to him..but it was true , Subaru was making huge changes to the world , being an influence to the people around him. He wondered what had changed for him to become like this..it was probably Emilia right ? but Emilia told them that the loot house was the first day she met him…he didn't know but he wanted to know what made his son become the person he was now.
The door to their room was knocked and Kenichi went and opened it. Standing at the door was the same person who served them dinner yesterday , she bowed to him.
"Kenichi-sama , i have brought you your breakfast"
"Ah , thank you , can you leave it at the table in the living room ? thank you"
"Understood Kenichi-sama"
She left the food at the table , bowed and exit the room , Kenichi went to the bed his wife was sleeping in and woke her up.
"Dear , its morning already , breakfast is here"
"uhm…Kenichi..?...Good morning"
Naoko woke up and yawned , her face , although still sleepy looking , was better than ever. The dark circle under her eyes was not as bad as what it usually was and he could tell she was feeling refreshed.
"...it feels weird to be brought breakfast , lets eat"
The couple were immersed in their food even though it was just breakfast , it tasted delicious. Kenichi wasn't paying attention to the food yesterday since he was so engrossed talking to Emilia , now though , he could notice how the food's flavor delighted him, over the past 2 years , flavor was the last thing on their mind when they were searching for their son, food was something that was just needed to survive instead of something to enjoy.
The couple silently completed their food and looked at each other.
"...what do we do now ?" Naoko asked.
"We wait for Emilia-chan ? I believe she will be explaining who Rem and Beatrice are , it seems like they are quite close to Subaru." Kenichi replied, a hand on his chin as he thought back to the story of what Julius and Emilia had told them thus far. From what he could gather so far , Subaru was very close to both of them and it seems from what Julius has said , Subaru is unable to refuse Rem's questioning.
…was this two timing ? if so…wouldn't Emilia be jealous ? afterall, the story she told yesterday would mean she wouldn't take too kindly to anyone getting close to him..maybe it's because Rem was someone Subaru cherished ? quite a lot of questions , hopefully it would be answered soon , it was very interesting to hear from people about Subaru and all of them were hugely positively , he was very proud of him , but he was worried as well .Unlike the others , he was a normal person and from what he heard , he didn't seem to have any powers that was usually given to people who got transported. He wondered if luck was something he got a boost in and that's the reason why he could do whatever he did. His thought was interrupted by a knock on the door
"Uhmm , father , mother are the 2 of you awake ?"
"..father and mother , I suppose ? Emilia wh-?"
The sweet voice that they heard yesterday called them out and a different one was heard as well , a very young but mature sounding voice.
Guest ? Could it be Rem or Beatrice ?
"Please come in , Emilia-chan" Naoko called out.
"Excuse us"
The door was open and Emilia entered , following her was a young blonde hair girl , her hair was in twin drills , she was wearing a long frilly pink dress , she turned around and the Natsuki were surprised. Her eyes…weren't normal , pink butterflies rested as her iris instead of normal ones.
"...Emilia, why did you call them father and mother , I suppose ? Betty cannot believe that you already found someone else other than Subaru with lovely dovely you are constantly with him , in fact" The girl , calling herself Betty , folded her arms and glared at Emilia who hastily shook her head.
"No no ! It's nothing like that ! These people are related to Subaru !"
"...related to Subaru ? if you are calling them father and mother…then.."
The girl looked at both of them, narrowing her eyes. "Subaru's parents ,I suppose ?"
The couple nodded their heads and smiled a little. After yesterday , they have some slight expectations of how the reaction would be , with this Betty girl looking quite close to Emilia too.
But the girl's reaction betrayed what they thought would happen.
The girl narrowed her eyes and sighed deeply. She rubbed her forehead and mumbled to herself , but it was clearly heard by all of them.
"..Subaru going to be angry, i suppose"
Hearing that the Natsuki's were confused , angry ?...Was it because they were here ? that Subaru didn't want to se-
"Do not misunderstand, I suppose. Subaru isn't angry because of anything you are thinking of , Subaru is angry because if you were brought here…it would be because his parents are in higher chance of being in danger compared to wherever you come from, in fact"
The girl softly cut off their thoughts , giving them relief , but danger…it was true they did not know what existed in this world but it couldn't be that bad right ?
She continued speaking with a frown on her face. "...in any case , This would mean that someone brought you similar to what Subaru said… that level of Yin magic is unheard of…what's the reason for…" Seemingly in her own world , she put a hand on her hand and mumbled to herself again.
"Beatrice ? before you start going off into your world like Subaru , would you mind introducing yourself to them ?" Emilia said , smiling as she pet Beatrice on her head , bringing the girl out of her trance.
"Ah Emilia ! Betty was about to hit something important , I suppose ! grrr , you made me forget it , in fact !" Beatrice stomped her feet and pouted.
Emilia responded with only a "yes , yes , sorry" while continuing to pet her head , then she gestured to the Natsuki couple.
Beatrice turned her head to introduce herself. "Betty's name is Beatrice , the great spirit of Yin and Subaru's one and only contracted spirit , I suppose. I thought this day would never come since Subaru said it was impossible for his parents to be here , but i suppose there is no such thing as absolute , in fact"
"Hello Beatrice-chan , so…you aren't human ?" Naoko inquired.
"Correct , Betty is a spirit and not a run of the mill Spirit , I suppose. A great spirit like Betty is rare and hard to find , so Subaru's parents should be proud of Subaru that he managed to contract such a spirit, in fact" Beatrice proudly said , both arms on her hips.
"But" Beatrice said , turning serious. "...How did the both of you appear here ? I suppose , was it gradually…or was it sudden ? Can you tell me what happened ?"
Kenichi and Naoko took turns to speak , explaining how they appeared here , how they met Julius and Ferris , how Julius brought Emilia and how they spent the day.
"I see …..so we can thank Julius for keeping you safe , I suppose." A slight smile appeared on Beatrice's face. "Subaru going to be angry that he has a debt to Julius , in fact"
"Although Emilia , is it surprising you are willing to share that much with people you just knew , i suppose" Beatrice continued speaking , give her a slight smug look. "Are you trying to get a leg up on Rem ? in fact"
"Hmm..i think i get what you are saying but that is not the case though ?" Emilia replied , tiling her head. "It's just…Naoko-san reminds me of someone reaallllyyy important to me..so maybe that is the case ? Besides , it is Subaru's parents after all , so it is no problem"
"Well , that is true , I suppose. They did raise Subaru after all" Beatrice nodded
Naoko felt really happy and honored , she already liked Emilia and hearing such words come out from her only amplified her affection for Emilia. Kenichi on the other hand , was thinking about how the trust they had in Subaru , from yesterday with Julius , Emilia and now seemingly Beatrice , he wondered what Subaru had done to earn this level of trust from the people that liked him alot.
"Beatrice-san , can I ask something ? What exactly is your relationship with Subaru ?" Kenichi asked , unlike Emilia , it was hard to place what exactly contracting with a spirit entails.
"Betty is Subaru's spirit , which means Subaru is obligated to listen to whatever Betty says, I suppose. Basically Betty is Subaru's older sister. In fact"
"Ahh , sorry father but Beatrice is more like Subaru's younger sister , Beatrice is getting influenced by Subaru more often, like him , she speaks all this weird words that Subaru tends to use and is getting similar to him in habit"
Emilia spoke up after Beatrice who was puffering her chest out in smugness and then got deflated when she heard what Emilia had said.
"Grr , what slader, in fact ! Betty wouldnt stand for it , i suppose !" Beatrice angrily replied , stomping her food on the ground , Emilia undeterred by this , told her.
"But Beatrice , just the other day you forgot to keep your promise with Rem of showing her the maajiickk trick Subaru showed you ?"
"Grk , in fact ! th-that is because Subaru needed Betty for some other things , i got held up the whole day , i suppose !"
"Beatrice , that is not a good reason , you can just tell Rem to push back the date right ? Subaru is a serial promise breaker enough , I don't want you to pick up his bad habits ok ?"
"Ga-gah , I suppose ! Emilia I don't think you are one to talk , last month you didn't go on the date you said you would with Subaru did you , in fact !"
"Hmm ? We discussed it and we pushed it to this week. Last month was reaalllyyy busy as we had to travel a lot, you remember ? Besides, '' Emilia let out a cute smile and put her hands on her hip "we spent a lot of alone time together when you were sleeping in the carriage during that time , i think that constitutes as a date right ?"
"...I don't think that really constitutes a date , I suppose. But well , at least you seem to be more aware of relationship things , Subaru should be happy , in fact"
"Mmhmmm , i been studying with Petra and Annerose , though it looks like Annerose don't reaalllly like it when i mention Subaru though"
"...that girl is a completely different case, i suppose , you should try your best to not make her upset , though Betty think at your wedding she is going to be upset either way , in fact"
"Mhmm , I shall do my best , I think Annerose will be happy to see me happy when I get married though" Emilia then widened her eyes. "Ahhh ! sorry father , mother , we got too absorbed into talking , come Beatrice , apologize with me"
"..Betty does not know why she should apologize" Beatrice mumbled , only to be met with Emilia's puppy eyes. "Grr…i hope you know that are also becoming like Subaru , abusing your looks like that isn't fair. Sorry uhmm…. father ? and Naoko , was it ? Betty still has not heard the father's name , in fact"
"Abusing my looks..? Nevermind , dont be rude to Naoko-san Beatrice , you should treat them like your own parents since you are family to Subaru after all also , father's name is Kenichi-san"
"Gah , Beatrice is too old to be able to treat them like my own parents, i suppose, besides , Betty's mother is only Mother in fact" Beatrice then pointed at the Natsuki couple. "Besides , Betty think if we continue this conversation , we are just going to keep them out again"
Emilia's eyes widened then bowed to them , apologizing to both of them , with Naoko raising her hand to stop Emilia from bowing , smiling she said " its ok dears , we can see how close you are to each other and it makes us happy that the both of you love Subaru dearly"
Hearing that , Emilia cheeks flustered abit and Beatrice puffed out her chest , looking smug.
"Of course , Subaru should be considered lucky that Betty is willing to follow him , I suppose , but Betty is wondering , are the 2 of you not going out to see what is going on ? everyone is doing their best to make Subaru's stay here feel comfortable and welcoming , besides you should meet the rest of the camp members , Betty has a feeling they have a lot they would want to say to you guys , in fact"
"Ahh that is true ! father , mother , you should meet the rest ! i have a feeling that you will bond with them easily like Subaru did"
Going outside was not a thought that occurred to the Natsuki couple , they would be fully comfortable waiting for him here and chatting with them , but if they were to stay here for the rest of their lives , it would be with the Emilia camp right ? Since Subaru was with them.
Thinking like that , it would be best to establish a relationship earlier on , but judging from how Emilia and Beatrice were like , they would have no doubt they would easily get along well with them.
"Good idea Emilia-chan , are the rest of your camp here ?"
"Hmmm , Rem and Tanza are currently with Subaru right now..Petra and Frederica are taking care of the mansion and of Meili and Spica who fell sick , Otto , Ram and Garfield at our inn right now , should we go to our inn first and meet them ?"
There were so many names that they had heard before , but Rem's name popped up again. They forgot to ask who she was because of how loveable Emilia and Beatrice's interaction was, perhaps now would be a good time to ask.
"Emilia-chan , we've been hearing about this Rem for quite awhile , who is she ?"
Emilia wanted to speak up , but Beatriced stopped her by saying " Emilia won't be able to give you the correct answer , I suppose. Their relationship is quite special to say the least , it is as deep as Emilia's and Subaru , in fact. Betty think it's better to hear it straight from the person herself when she's arrives with Subaru , i suppose"
Emilia pouted at first when Beatrice stopped her but after hearing the reason , she understood why and she agreed with her , leaving her to nod her head.
A special relationship similar to Emilia ? Beatrice most likely had no intention, but that statement made them want to know more , but since they already said to ask the person in question , they didn't not to push it , though they did want to know just one thing.
"Understood , however , I thought the whole camp was here ? Why is Rem and uhm…Tan..za ? with Subaru ?"
" it's because Rem is like Subaru's personal maid , I suppose. Though she officially isn't , the whole camp more or less recognize her as such given how much she helps Subaru , Tanza…..is Subaru's official assistant…i don't know why Subaru would want that impudent dear girl as his assistant when he already has Betty , hmpth , in fact" Beatrice answered their question , but her tone clearly shifted to displeasure once she spoke of Tanza.
Emilia smiled with a " yes yes , don't be jealous" and patted her head , softening Beatrice frown.
The Natsuki couple thought they had heard it all , but it looks like they were wrong. a personal assistant and a maid ? It felt like Subaru was a noble , the thought of him getting arrogant was in their head's for a second , but was soon erased via remembering Emilia's story and Julius' view on him.
The only way they could know the full story is to hear the story from the people in question. Thinking about it now though , all they have done is hear stories from people and it feels like they just scratch the surface of what Subaru had done for them. They decided that there is no point in thinking too much of it now.
"Well , Naoko and Kenichi, are the 2 of you ready to go out now ? i suppose"
"Yes , thank you , we are ready to go."
The Natsuki couple left the room and exited to the main hall , when they were leaving , everyone inside bowed to them and told them that they should enjoy their trip and that tonight's dinner would be better than yesterday.
Although they didn't taste yesterday's dinner, breakfast was amazing so they knew that dinner would be good as well.
Thanking them as they left the inn , they walked out and truly now appreciated the beauty of the city they are in , the fantasy setting they always saw in media or games that Subaru loved to play were now right infront of their eyes , and it was much more impressive than they thought.
As they followed Emilia who was holding Beatrice's hand as she walked , they notice that although a lot of people that saw Emilia would wave at her happily , there was people that sneered at Emilia when she walked by and couldnt see her , they could even hear whispers of "half-devil" . Obviously they were not happy as they knew Emilia was a good person , but since it wasn't their place to say anything, Yet. Emilia herself either didn't care or didnt hear it as she had no reaction to it as they walked , they didn't know about Beatrice but they saw her hands tighten sometimes so they assumed she heard it and just didn't say anything.
Even though the streets were busy with people running around as observed by Kenichi in the morning , they were not blocking their way and they seemed to be walking smoothly , it was probably due to Emilia walking in front of them and them noticing her.
A royal candidate , someone of royal status ? they did not ask what a royal candidate is since they didn't ask , there were so many things that they did not know of this world yet , perhaps going to the Inn and asking Emilia's camp people would be the best , or perhaps once they meet Subaru ? asking him might be the best choice as he was in the same situation as them.
They soon reached another kararagi style inn and entered it , then followed Emilia to a certain room and entered it , sitting inside , were 3 different people , a pink-haired maid , a gray haired young man and a blonde-haired teenager.
These 3 must be the people who came , Otto , Garfield and Ram.
"Ahhh , Emilia-sama , Beatrice-sama , welcome back , and are these 2 people the ones you wanted to tell us about ?" The gray-haired man asked.
"mmhmm Otto-kun , that is correct , this is Kenichi-san and Naoko-san , Subaru's parents"
Hearing that , as per the usual , they went rigid but with different expressions on each person's face.
"Barusu…?"
"Cap'n…?!"
"Natsuk-san..?"
Hearing 3 different ways of calling Subaru and then blonde-haired teenager went up to them and bowed 90 degree to them
"Nice to Meet the both of you ! My name Is Garfield ! it's a pleasure to meet both of you !"
The teenager greeted them and introduced himself. Similar to Julius , he had somewhat of an overbearing aura , but in this case , it was also the way he spoke , he felt like a delinquent greeting their higher ups.
Sensing this , the gray-haired man walked up and pat Garfield's shoulder. "Garfield , you are scaring the both of them , we told you multiple times not to do this to new people you just met right ?"
"Geh , but Otto-nii !"
"Yes , I get it , but relax ok ?" The man called Otto replied to him with a small smile then turned to the Natsuki couple and bowed to them.
"My name is Otto , Otto Suwen , the internal affairs officer , Garfield is the military officer for the Emilia's camp , it's a pleasure to meet the both of you"
The pink-haired girl went up and bowed as well. "Ram is Ram , a maid of the Roswaal's mansion , it's nice to meet Barusu's parents"
Thanks to Otto , the Atmosphere of oppression was gone , if anything , just like Julius , it probably was not intended and it was the pressure he was giving off unconsciously , to think there are people that are close to Subaru who gives off this probably on a daily basis.
"Ah it's nice to meet all of you as well , as Emilia-chan has said , we are Subaru's parents , thank you for taking good care of our son for all this while , we hope he has not troubled you in time you knew him " The Natsuki couple introduced themselves as such and bowed to them. Surprising Ram. The father and mother were confused upon seeing this and asked if there was anything wrong.
"No…its nothing , its just….knowing Barursu…" She mumbled
"I know what you mean Ram-san , Natsuki-san is always so…" Otto replied
"Hm , hm , there's right but that's Cap'n good point right ?!" Garfield nodded his head happily
"Garfield is right , that's Subaru special right ?" Emilia joined in , puffering her chest out with pride
"Betty agrees with Emilia, I suppose. Subaru being himself is the best, in fact."
Beatrice proudly stated.
"Beatrice-sama , Emilia-sama , please don't spoil Natsuki-san…He already is causing trouble enough as it is"
"But Otto-kun , he is doing it for my sake right ? And you are there to help him in case anything goes wrong right ? Thank you Otto-kun" Emilia smiled at Otto who looked at her and sighed.
….you truly are unfair Emilia-sama" Otto replied bitterly then turned to the Natsuki couple. "Sorry for all of that , it's just when we think of Natsuki-San , it's just…..trouble I guess"
"..well sorry to hear that but it can't be all that bad right ? If you are all here with Emilia in her camp , it must mean that you guys do like Subaru to a certain extent right ?" Kenichi asked , noticing that while Otto was complaining about Subaru , he had a slight grin on his face.
Hearing what Kenichi said , there was a visible twitch in Ram's eye for a second. Garfield was smiling widely , showing off his sharp teeth and Otto smiled bitterly.
"Yes they all do , they all reaaallllly love Subaru after all , whenever Subaru needs help they always always come to help him" Emilia spoke up , seemingly for them. Ram grunted , Otto sighed and Garfield laughed. Emilia tilted her head at Ram's and Otto's reaction.
"I don't think I said anything wrong, right ? i been learning how to study people's relationship after all"
"Ram prefers if Emilia-sama do not speak for her"
"Emilia-sama…..it's nice that you are learning but.."
Ram and Otto spoke up , while they did protest , they did not deny her. Again , it brought warmth to the Natsuki couple. They got comfortable with them quite quickly. They started talking to each other and they learned quite a lot of things. Ram, although had a sharp tongue , was the older sister of Rem and seemingly like an older sister to Subaru , although she would deny it , Emilia would interject with stories of how Subaru would always find Ram for help, Causing Ram to recoil in disgust.
"Hah ! Barusu is always hopeless , Ram needs to help him so he doesn't disgrace Rosawaal-sama's name" even though Ram said it coldly , there was a hint of sweetness in her voice , as if trying to hide her true feelings.
"You still helped my son right ? thank you very much Ram-chan , you truly are a good girl aren't you ? Please continue helping my son , I think having someone strict on him is good for him" Naoko replied with a hand on her cheek.
Ram's eyes widened , as if not expecting this response. The corner of her lips tug abit. "Understood Naoko-sama , Ram shall be more strict with Barusu"
Hearing that , Otto and Garfield twitched slightly and the talk continued , soon it was Otto , Subaru saved him from the witch cult and due to him helping Subaru , he somewhat landed as the Emilia's camp internal affairs officer , and probably thanks to Subaru Otto always had trouble to deal with.
"Ahhh ! I wish Natsuki-san would be more conscious of his achievements and status ! everytime he goes out and chats with random people off the streets , a crowd would form up around him and he gets into trouble ! I wish he knew how much I had to help him to get out of that kind of situation !, " Otto complained as he drank cups of beer that were in the room.
"AHAHAH , well , maybe he is too shy ? Subaru always been one to never say his true feelings"
"..i wished that was true Kenichi-sama , but Subaru would always confess to Emilia-sama in public without consideration…"
"Is that true Emilia-chan ?" Kenichi turned to Emilia , who was slightly red-faced, nodding at his question , surprising Kenichi with how bold his son was.
"..well , i will tell him off for you yeah ? good job doing your job Otto-kun , you are doing a stellar job as the internal affairs officer" Kenichi replied , giving a light smack on Otto's back , whose cheeks reddened slightly.
"...i think it's fine Kenichi-sama , thank you for the offer but there isn't a need to scold Natsuki-san"
"Really ? AHAHA , you truly are a good friend of Subaru aren't you Otto-kun ? thank you so much" Kenichi smiled at Otto who bashfully looked slightly away.
"The pleasure is all mine Kenichi-sama , Natsuki-san is a good friend to me as well"
And then , there was Garfield , who looked and talked to Naoko and Kenichi with stars in his eyes , asking everything about Subaru , who he calls Cap'n . Wondering why , they asked him and he said that it was because Subaru was a man who always exceeded his expectations and always went above and beyond in whatever he did. He was someone who Garfield truly respected and looked up to.
Another person that looked up to Subaru and another one that held Subaru to a high standard , they wondered if this amount of trust would ever pressure Subaru into keeping up with that level of trust. Garfield was someone who they felt slightly afraid of at first , due to his tone and look , but soon found him to be quite adorable , he was clearly on the younger side as he asked questions with such vigor and excitement.
"Cap'n always told me that i will grow stronger one day , but i can't feel any improvement for awhile"
"Oh ? is it that you cant feel any changes or do you feel you aren't up to snuff yet ?"
"...i guess it's that i cant dont feel up to strength yet , the world has too many strong people and it's getting harder to know where i stand as the Camp's shield"
"Hm..that is troubling , I am afraid I can't say much since we don't know anything , but there is no rush, yes ? after all , a watched pot never boils"
"! what is that ! So cool !" Garfield eye's sparkle with excitement as he heard the proverb from Kenichi who spoke to him
Just like that , the bonding time for the Natsuki couple and the Emilia camp continued , Time pass by extremely fast and the day soon came to end . Returning back to their inn and eating dinner there with Emilia and Beatrice , before the 2 of them left to sleep , Beatrice had to talk to them
"Subaru should be arriving tomorrow , i suppose , like i told you this morning , Subaru might be upset to see you two here , however , Betty and Emilia would calm him down , so don't be too worried , in fact"
"Hmmm we understand , is there anything we can do to help ?"
"...for now no , i suppose, just wait patiently until he is calm then you can have your family time with him , in fact"
"..thank you so much Beatrice-chan , we truly appreciate whatever you have done for us"
"...do not mind it , in fact , anything for Subaru's happiness is worth it , i suppose"
Saying that , the pair left the couple alone and they were left to think of the day , Beatrice , Ram , Otto and Garfield , all various different kind of people yet all have the same thing in common , they all trusted and liked Subaru to a degree.
Having that knowledge and knowing that Subaru would be coming tomorrow , they were pretty excited , however because they spend so much energy just talking to people , something they have not done in so long , they fell asleep easily and this time , without any dreams or nightmares.
When they woke up , the day started like yesterday. Kenichi woke up , got breakfast , woke Naoko up and ate with her. Time seem to pass by slower as they had the conscious knowledge that Subaru would be arriving here…their son they have no seen in years…his voice that they crave would soon be here.
"-Tan , what's up ? Why are you and Beako holding my hand so tight ?"
That voice made their heart race , he is here , he is here , he is here , he is here. Their son is here , that familiar voice was finally here.
The door opened and entered…Subaru , holding onto Emilia's and Beatrice's hand tightly , his hair was the same style as his old one , the biggest difference was his posture , he was no longer hunched forward , but straight. Subaru turned to and saw them and his eyes widened , multiple emotions running through them. Sadness , surprise , and lastly, Anger.
"..wh-why are the two of you here ?!" Subaru angrily asked.
