Chapter 3 Fast and Furious
It's been a month since the Legion was formed and already it's numbers were rising by the day already in the millions.
The Founding members were in charge of the newer members who came in from everywhere and every agency on Earth and other worlds.
Right now the new Legion base which was the Primary HQ in Washington was just finished. (Look up my Deviant art profile dragonlord012 and look up Legion headquarters)
"Goddamn." Hobbs said impressed by how equipped the new base was.
"I spare no expense. And Immortal tech can make anything at no charge. And eventually in time Money is going to be a thing of the past since I think we can all agree finance is more trouble than anything. When you can make anything from thin air that problem will be long forgotten." Sean said.
"Matter cannot be created or destroyed." Batman said.
"Not entirely true on that first part. The same energy we use to breathe is used to make matter from thin air." Sean said.
"So you can make anything at any time. I'm impressed." Hobbs said.
"Anyway we have other things to attend to." Sean said as they headed off.
Later
"What do you mean SHIELD will now opperate under the Legion?" Fury asked surprised by this.
"After what happened shortly before the Merge the world is concerned SHIELD is too much of a risk to operate without oversight." Sean said.
"Look if this is about the Prison outbreak." Maria said.
"It isn't." Hobbs said.
"Graviton. You guys made him into what he is." Sean said.
"That was an accident. And I told Hall to shut his project down but he refused." Fury said.
"That may be true but this isn't the first time SHIELD has caused problems it was supposed to prevent. Is it?" Batman asked making him look away.
"Ok...So we may have made things a bit more difficult unintentionally." Maria said.
"All the more reason it needs oversight. Which is why you'll be under the command of the Legion. And we report directly to every Government of the new Universe. But our duty is to the people. Not one country, Nation, Planet or Galaxy. We do the job that we know is required. But we don't keep secrets from the public. Your secrets have caused enough problems." Sean said.
"And how will this affect the Agency?" Fury asked.
"That all depends on the agents and what the missions are. For one Hill's recommendation all enhanced or unique people be required to sign a loyality oath is denied." Sean said.
"Whoa, now wait just a minute here. You just said there has to be accountability." Maria said.
"I did. When they work for Governments. What you're doing is no different than dictatorship and it's not gonna fly. It's no different than a draft. People have a right to chose if they want to serve with their gifts and abilities. If they mess up then they will be held responsible but what you're doing just shifts the entire blame." Sean said.
"Thats not true." Maria said.
"You may not see it that way but thats how it is. And thats not gonna happen. If you have a problem with it you can just march right on out of here." Hobbs said making her frown but did nothing.
"And more so any experiments SHIELD does will be told to us so we can review it." Sean said.
"All right." Fury said as he left while Maria frowned as she followed.
"I don't think Hill is gonna fall in line so quick." Hobbs said.
"In time." Sean said.
After that they got an alert about a robbery in Brazil.
"What do we got this time?" Sean asked.
"DEA was robbed of three confiscated cars." Hobbs said.
"That is hardly our concern. We deal with big threats." Lantern said.
"Tell that to the dead DEA agents." Hobbs said.
"Oh." Lantern said.
"I'm more concerned the Cars in question were only part of the objective. Was there anything else in any of them?" Sean asked.
"One. The GT40 had a computer on board." Hobbs said.
"Then there must have been something on it that was the objective. Who was the one who killed them?" Sean asked.
"According to the reports. Dominic Toretto and Brain O'Conner." Batman said.
"Wait what?" Sean asked as their files came up. "Well, theres a face I haven't seen in 8 years." Sean said.
"You know one of them?" Hobbs asked.
"Dom. He's an old friend. One of the handful of people before the Merge who knows about the Universes being created by the old man. And if theres one thing I know he's not capable of cold blooded murder. It's not in his nature. The guy he beat up was one thing he had it coming for killing his father and showed no remorse for it even though it was an accident." Sean said.
"I read the file on that." Hobbs said.
"Hmm. I think they're being set to take the fall for someone else's actions. And I wanna know who. Hobbs your part of the DSS still so you'll take charge. Take Gat, Woods, Mason and Antman with ya. Bring them back here so we can get the full story. I wanna know what this is about." Sean said.
"I'm on it." Hobbs said leaving.
"You know people can change for the worse." Batman said.
"True. But when you've been around certain people you can tell some things can never change them." Sean said.
Later
While Hobbs was out in South America tracking Dom down he was meeting with someone who was appointed as the liaison for the United states government and the Legion.
"It's been a long time Amanda." Sean said seeing an African American woman. (Amanda Waller from Hell to Pay)
"Nice to see you again Sean." Amanda said.
"So they appointed you as the Liaison huh? I can't say I'm surprised. Republic is sending another from their government to be the Liaison as well. Someone who they say is competent." Sean said.
"As usual you prefer someone who takes everything seriously. I always liked that." Amanda said making him smirk.
Thats when An Alert came through as Sean answered.
"Hobbs." Sean said.
"Looks like you were right. Toretto and O'conner were probably set up. We found them getting ambushed by some locals with heavy firepower." Hobbs said.
"Theres something going on here." Antman said.
"Hmm. Check to see if you can find out who the car they stole belonged to. That will give us a clue. If we find out more we can solve this whole case." Sean said.
"On it." Hobbs said ending his line.
"A new mission already?" Amanda asked.
"The Legion may be brand new but we do what we can when we can. Right now the Legion's numbers are within the thousands and rising. Most of that number are Jedi of the Republic. The armies of the Covenant, The newly reorganized COG and Locust are under our command." Sean said.
"And the Republic?" Amanda asked.
"I'm afraid the Republic has no Army."
Sean looked seeing someone he knew from the Republic.
"Tarkin." Sean said. (Sora I don't wanna hear it. I don't care if he was a bad guy in Cannon. Anything can go with the Right Imagination)
"It's been a long time Kruger." Tarkin said.
"4 years. So you're the one the Republic Sent. I ain't surprised to be honest." Sean said.
"What do you mean the Republic doesn't have an army?" Amanda asked.
"Exactly as he said. The Republic after a thousand years of peace decided to disband it's army thinking the Jedi could handle anything. Idiots. Even though my people are all peaceful by nature and only been in actual life of death situations twice we never did not have an army. We always believed being prepared for the worst case scenario. And that invasion from another universe made us believe that even more so." Sean said.
"Indeed. Though there are talks now of forming one to join the Legion's to contribute. Chancellor Organa was very insistent on that subject knowing with new threats they could not depend solely on the Jedi anymore." Tarkin said.
"Speaking of Chancellor Next month we'll be revealing the previous one as a Sith Lord since we found evidence of this after his death. Especially these." Sean said pulling out two lightsabers turning them on showing Red Blades.
"These are Jedi weapons aren't they?" Amanda asked.
"Yes. But Red is more commonly found with their polar opposite side known as the Sith. Everything the Jedi are they are the exact opposite with some rare exceptions." Tarkin said.
"We plan to reveal this information later since if right now during when it's still in the process of changing could cause problems. While my people never lie we know you can't just reveal everything right off the bat." Sean said.
Later
"So this Reyes person is behind all this?" Sean asked Hobbs.
"The Car belonged to him. The Computer chip was gone when we found the Car. It must contain all his hide outs where his money is. And one of them was hit." Hobbs said.
"So. Dom is going after his money to get even for framing him and his sister. Yeah that sounds like him." Sean said amused.
"If he's pulling a heist he'll be in need of an experienced crew." Tarkin said.
"Lets see here." Sean said pulling up a screen showing video survalence of the areas getting multiple pings. "Known associates of both of them have entered the Area in less than 24 hours. Roman Pierce, Tej Parker, Gisele, Han and Leo and Santos. All criminals in small and big ways." Sean said.
"Do you wish to have them brought in?" Tarkin asked.
"No. Lets see how they do under pressure. Put out warrants for them. I wanna see how they respond." Sean said.
"Got it." Hobbs said.
"Are you trying to recruit them?" Tarkin asked curious.
"The Legion is still the early stages of its formation. New recruits are required. And Dom and his crew have potential. Skills can be useful depending on who has them." Sean said.
"Indeed." Tarkin said.
Meanwhile
Mia was looking at the police scanners when the warrants showed up.
"What the? Guys we got a problem." Mia said.
"The whole team just got burnt." Brian said as everyones came to the computer.
"Now we're all wanted." Mia said.
"What happened?" Roman asked.
"Oh you're not gonna believe this. The Legion issued the warrants." Mia said.
"As in THE Legion?" Tej asked.
"Yup." Mia said.
"Who's in charge of that group anyway?" Han asked.
"Lets see." Mia said before Sean's photo showed up.
"Well, theres a face we haven't seen in years." Dom said.
"Wait you know this guy?" Tej asked.
"Sean Joseph Ashburn Kruger. He's the Great Grandson of Arthur Kruger." Dom said.
"The Leader of the Immortals." Han said.
"Yup. Me, Vince and Mia met him eight years ago. Along with Letty, Jesse and Leon" Dom said.
"Back then he was traveling the whole Multiverse to do something with his life." Mia said.
"And now he's hunting us." Roman said.
"Nah, He's looking for the real people who killed those Agents. He knows I wouldn't do that." Dom said.
"He's always been a good judge of character." Mia said.
"So why don't we just ask him for some help. Get us some Pardons." Brian said.
"I'm not gonna ask him for something like that. It would make him look like a fraud." Dom said.
"And destroy everything he's been building for the last two months." Mia said.
"So if he knows you guys didn't do it why put these out?" Tej asked.
"I think I got a good idea." Dom said.
Later
Dom and Brian had Hobbs confront them so Tej could put a tracker on his vehicle.
"Son of a bitch." Hobbs said seeing it. "You were right. He's smarter than the file says." Hobbs said on comms.
"Told ya. Now I want to keep a close eye on things. Once we know their gonna strike...Thats when we do." Sean said.
"Got it." Hobbs said.
Sean walked through the halls of the Legion Base before seeing Kretea looking outside.
"Thinking about your past?" Sean asked getting her attention.
"I made so many mistakes in the days I served Ares...But the last thing he made me do." Kretea said in regret.
"He'll get whats coming to him soon enough. We all have to pay for our sins in time. Maybe not today or tomorrow. But soon enough." Sean said.
"Do you have any regrets?" Kretea asked.
"Not being able to save the majority of my people and my parents and Grand Parents and Great grandMother? Oh yeah. But you can either live with those Regrets and let them hold you back in life. Or you can move on and do something productive with your life as I have." Sean said making her let out a small smile.
Later
Dom and his crew were getting ready to take down Reyes and take his money.
"All right first team in position." Dom said before they heard what sounded like metal footsteps.
"Oh I'm not gonna like this." Roman said as Sean in his armor appeared.
"OH SHIT!" Roman yelled shooting at him but the bullets just turned to dust before making impact shocking him.
"You done?" Dom asked making Sean chuckle.
"What is he the Joker on your team Dom?" Sean asked as his Armor went down.
"Hey Kid." Vince said.
"Vince, Mia." Sean said.
"Oh shit." Tej said.
"Relax. I'm not here to bust you guys. On the Contrary. I actually came to offer you something of more value than Money." Sean said.
"Like what?" Brian asked.
"Eventual Pardons that you have to Work for. You see the thing is Money is gonna be useless in a few years. I always saw it as more of a problem than anything. My people don't use finances. It was pointless when you can easily make anything you want at will. Thats how advanced our race is. Dom knows that." Sean said.
"Is that true?" Brian asked.
"Oh yeah. Where do you think some of our parts came from before you showed up?" Dom asked.
"So this whole thing is pointless then." Roman said.
"Pointless? No. I actually want to help you. You get Reyes's money and he comes out and we take him down. Dead or alive. Personally people prefer him dead since he's the main problem in this side of the world. Me? My people don't enjoy taking a life since it's against or morals. Doesn't mean we won't stop someone else from doing the deed if they deserve it." Sean said.
"Which is where you come in." Hobbs said as the others showed up.
"You help us take down Reyes and you join the Legion and in time you all get Pardons for your past crimes. Sounds Fair if you ask me." Sean said.
"But what about the Money?" Roman asked whining.
"Didn't you just hear a word I said?" Sean asked.
"Don't listen to him. He's the Crybaby of the group." Tej said making him frown as everyone else chuckled.
"The Disrespect is real around here I'm telling ya." Roman said.
Later
Dom and his crew had taken the Safe out of the Police station forcing Reyes to follow them.
Sean and Kretea were jumping from building to building following them.
"All this for a vault of money that in a few years is not gonna be of any value when the new systems are in." Kretea said.
"Not everyone is as accepting to change as we are. People like him never accept change." Sean said seeing them at the bridge.
Thats when Dom used his car to swing the vault at Reyes and his men taking them out.
"Impressive." Kretea said as they jumped down as Reyes's right hand man Zizi was about to shot Dom when Sean Digitized him.
"Help me." Reyes said before getting the sam result.
"Thats the only thing you'll get from me." Sean said as Hobbs and the rest showed up.
"Not bad." Woods said.
"So what do we do with this?" Brian asked about the Vault before Sean blasted it reducing it to Atoms and the cash.
"Eh. Money caused more problems than it's worth." Sean said.
"Yup." Hank said.
"so about the Deal?" Brian asked.
"Work for the Legion and in time you'll get your Pardons. Nothing comes so quick." Sean said.
"Probably for the best." Dom said.
Thats when Sean looked at the water seeing someone glaring at him before swimming away making him frown.
"What is it?" Kretea asked.
"I don't know. Just some punk I hope." Sean said.
Later
"Damn." Tej said seeing the high tech.
"We spare no expense." Sean said.
"So why exactly did you merge all the universes together anyway? I never understood that." Roman said.
"As explained before theres an energy source my people use to breathe. Somehow it became poisoned. Each universe that was merged into one which also resulting in the Planet gaining more mass and land masses each had a key part of the energy but unlike before it cannot be poisoned again. It was to bring back this energy for us to survive." Sean said.
"So what poisoned it?" Brian asked.
"No idea. We at first thought it was my Great Grandfather's siblings so they could escape the void he trapped them in But they had nothing to do with it." Sean said.
"Why the hell would he imprison them?" Tej asked.
"Because they don't like anything thats not their race because another universe invaded ours and killed several people. Including their parents." Sean said.
"So it left a sour impression for them for anyone else not from their universe." Dom said.
"Exactly. When Life began to form in the universes my Great Grandfather created...They didn't like it and voted to terminate all of them. Everyone else disagreed but they were gonna do themselves. So he had to imprison them. Like the Digital prison I made but unlike mine they don't age when in there. So they're still in their primes." Sean said.
"So they hate us for something some other universe did. Thats not fair." Roman said.
"Everyone agrees but they won't listen." Sean said before an alert came up.
"Now what?" Tony said as some strange symbol appeared on the screens.
"Something is downloading files here!" Batou yelled.
"Cut the lines!" Sean yelled.
"Nothing is working!" Hank yelled before it finally stopped.
"The hell was that?" Dom asked.
"I have no idea. All we got to go on is this symbol." Sean said showing it revealing it to be an Eye with three lines on the bottom and one up top.
"Hold on." Tej said accessing the systems. "Got it. Found where the hack came from and what was stollen." Tej said.
"Give us the files that were stolen first." Hobbs said.
"It's really not that concerning since the files are all public domain. Every bad guy the Legion has faced both after and before the Merge from every universe." Tej said.
"Thats it?" Motoko asked.
"Pretty much." Tej said.
"Must be Darkseid trying to gain more allies." Batman said.
"I don't think so since the Hack came directly from Earth...In France." Tej said.
"So we're dealing with someone who has some vendetta against us." Hobbs said.
"Maybe. Can you isolate the exact location of where the Hack came from?" Sean asked.
"Yeah. The Best Area I can pinpoint is near some school. Kadic Academy." Tej said.
"I was always wanted to visit France." Rogue said to Sean making him chuckle.
Korra saw all this and frowned in Jealousy.
Authors Note: So now Dom and his crew are part of the Legion and Vince is still alive here. I think some people know whats next. Those who are fans of a certain French Show that came to the US 20 years ago. I won't reveal the Harem till Later. But I will reveal who's in charge of it.
