Chapter 12 Zilla
Sean was in his office going over some new reports.
"This is too much for me to handle alone." Sean said.
"You need a break son."
Sean looked up seeing a man with a four star rank on his shoulders.
"Sam." Sean said seeing General Lane.
"I always figured you'd do something important in life but this takes the cake." Lane said impressed.
"I try. You aren't here for a simple visit. I know you." Sean said.
"We have a problem. Theres been...An incident." Lane said.
"What kind of incident?" Sean asked.
"The other night a cannery ship was attacked and sunk in the Southern Pacific Ocean." Lane said.
"Well, the Kaiju have been known to go to different areas." Sean said.
"There hasn't been any breach activity. Pentecost said so when I went to ask him and he said no. There hasn't been a breach since the Merge. The only survivor however...Claims it was by your Titan King." Lane said.
"Godzilla? When was the attack?" Sean asked.
"Around...3 Am." Lane said as Sean pulled up a screen showing Godzilla's movements.
"Can't be him he's been in the Western side of the states clearing up old junk piles out at sea. Whatever did attack though did have traces of Radiation." Sean said.
"So if it wasn't him it was something else." Lane said.
"Ok." Sean standing up. "Heres what I want you to do. I want you to pick up an old friend of mine who works for the Nuclear regulatory comity. While not his field I feel better if he's involved." Sean said.
"Who is he?" Lane asked.
"Nick Tatopoulos. He...Should be in Ukraine right now in Chernobyl." Sean said.
"The hell would he be doing there for?" Lane asked.
"Working on Earth worms proving that radiation has mutated the DNA of them. If this involves radiation he'll be a good asset in this investigation till we know more." Sean said.
"All right. I'll get right on it." Lane said leaving.
"Oh boy what do we have now?" Sean asked.
Later
Sean was in Jamaica with lots of members of the Legion after it had been attacked by something.
Thats when a Sea plane arrived.
"We got him son." Lane said.
"Copy that." Sean said heading to the pier.
"Sean." Nick said.
"Hey Nick. Long time no see." Sean said leading him away.
"You mind explaining what I'm doing here?" Nick asked.
"Watch you step and don't talk to anyone. GET THEM OFF THE DAMN PIER!" Sean yelled to the troops.
Walking around they noticed people scanning for radiation.
"What is all this? Some kind of spill?" Nick asked.
"In that area." Sean said.
"You know accidents and spills are not my fields." Nick said as a UNSC cruiser passed by.
"I know." Sean said.
"You know you intrupted a three year study of the Chernobyl earth worm?" Nick asked.
"I know, I know, I know. Look I wouldn't have brought you in here unless it was important. And as you can clearly see." Sean said going up a ladder. "It is important if this is any indication." Sean said.
"What are you talking about?" Nick asked making him snort.
"Spin around." Sean said making him do so before seeing he was in a large footprint making him gasp.
"That was a footprint." Nick said rushing to him.
"Yup." Sean said looking at another report.
"Theres only two types of animals I know can make those kind. Titans and Kaiju." Nick said.
"We don't think it was either. Only thing we do know is that radiation was involved." Sean said.
"I told them this is not your field, but they never listen to genius."
"Elsie knock it off. Nick is Elsie Chapman. She's your boss." Sean said.
"Those were footprints right?" Nick asked.
"Yes they were." Elsie said.
"Anyone see what made them?" Nick asked.
"Actually...No such uh luck." Elsie said getting a better look at him.
"Fucking thing was over so fast no one knew what happened till it was over." Sean said before a car parked.
"Elsie!"
"Yeah?" Elsie asked.
"Tape's in. French finally released it."
A disk was inserted in playing footage of the ship that was sunk prior to this.
"This is a Japanese cannery ship that was attacked and sunk near French Polynesia." Sean said.
"General Lane thinks it's connected. By the way, Dr. Craven, have you met the worm guy?" Elsie asked before he sneezed.
"Oh boy." Sean said.
Later
Everyone was heading to shore after their investigating at Jamaica hit a dead end.
"This Worm guy you know why'd you bring him in?" Mason asked.
"I know Nick pretty good. It's his EX girlfriend I hate. Audrey. She tried to expose me so she could make a name for herself for the news. I had to leave for good because of that." Sean said.
"She tried to expose you?" Leo asked.
"Yup. I hated her ever since because if she did expose me it would lead to bigger problems." Sean said.
"Yeesh." Mikey said.
Soon they arrived at the crash site seeing the boat that was attacked on the shore.
Getting out they found some men inspecting it.
"Who the hell are they?" Lane asked.
"Old friends of mine. Don't worry. They won't get in the way." Sean said.
"Good. The hell do you think did this?" Lane asked.
"My best guess? Something real big. Reptilian if I'm guessing." Sean said.
"Hey check this out." Donny said seeing the claw marks.
"Whatever did this attacked for a reason." Leo said.
"Dun dun. Dun dun." Mikey said before Raph punched him. "OW!" Mikey yelled.
"Knock it Off." Raph said.
Later
After that investigation everyone was on cruiser Providence carrier that Dooku had commissioned.
Sean was on the bridge with the others before a droid approached him.
"Uh sir. Reports came in of three fishing boats going under."
"Why do you think it's related?" Lane asked.
"Well, they were pulled under."
This made him frown looking at the report.
"Jesus Christ. Thing is only 200 miles of the American eastern seaboard and we don't even know what the hell it is." Lane said.
"It's a Theropoda Allosaurus." Elsie said.
"Eh?" Sean asked.
"Some type of Enermous Reptile we believe died out in the Cretaceous period." Elsie said.
"No. This is way too big for that. Besides...Where would it be hiding all these years and why come out now?" Sean asked.
"I don't need theories on what it clearly isn't. I need to know what it is." Lane said.
"What about the traces of Radiation? The Radiation isn't an anomaly. It's the clue." Nick said.
"What are you trying to say?" Sean asked.
"Well...What do we know. It was first sighted...Off the French Polynesia pacific right? That area long before the Merge has been a test sight for dozens of nuclear tests." Nick said.
"True...But that doesn't give us much." Sean said.
"It may be all we need. I believe this is a mutated aberration. A hybrid caused by the fallout on these island." Sean said.
"You mean like your worms?" Sean asked.
"Yes. We're looking at a completely incipient creature, the dawn of a new species. The first of its kind." Nick said making Sean frown looking at a map of the area.
Meanwhile
At the docks in New York City was an old man with fishing equipment as it rained.
"HEY JOE! Gonna catch one of them little fish in the East river?" A homeless man asked.
"I hope so. But you never know. I mean, Today could be my lucky day." Joe said.
"Only thing your gonna catch is a cold." The homeless man yelled before laughing as Joe threw his line out.
Not a minute later his bobber went down.
"Hey...I got a bite." Joe said laughing before it really went down. "Boy...Do I have a bite." Joe said before the fishing rod was pulled out of his hand.
Thats when something big started approaching making him gasp in shock before running away in fear as it destroyed the pier.
Everyone else heard a loud groaning sound.
Thats when it came out of the ocean and roared as it started dropping boats and everything as it made it's way into the City.
Later
Legion forces soon arrived before making a base outside the City in Jersey.
"Commander, sir." A clone known as Captain Rex said saluting.
"Have you heard from the mayor's office?" Sean asked.
"Yes, they agreed to evacuated the entire city." Rex said.
"Wait thats over 50 million people now since the Merge has that ever been done before in any universe?" Ellie asked.
"No." Sean said as Shredder approached him. "Hey Saki." Sean said.
"I figured you could use some help." Shredder said. "Where is it now?" Shredder asked.
"We're not sure. After it attacked it just disappeared." Rex said.
"Nothing just disappears." Craven said.
"It's probably back in the River." Elsie said.
"I don't think so. Look at it." Sean said looking at the city.
"An island with Water on all sides...But unlike any other island in the world this is a place he can easily hide. He's in there somewhere.
"Hey, April caught it on tape." Raph said as Sean looked seeing the Auburn haired reporter had managed to film the thing as they got a better look at it.
"Almost looks like a mutated Dinosaur." Hobbs said.
"A hybrid iguana. Has similar characteristics to Godzilla though." Sean noticed the fins on his back with two large ones on the shoulders.
"Zilla." Mikey said.
"Catchy." Rex said.
"Name aside I wanna know why it's here. And if we can remove it without killing it." Sean said.
Later
"I'm sorry Mr. Mayor but at this point thats all we got." Lane said.
"Now hold on. Hold on. Your telling me that in an election month I've evacuated this city for nothing?" The Mayor asked.
"Thats what your worried about? Getting Reelected into office. There is a giant monster out there. It tore through the city like it was nothing." Hank said.
"We know it's still here. We just know where at the moment." Sean said.
"Yes but you don't know for sure." The Mayor said before Revy pushed him back down. "What are you..." The Mayor tried to say.
"Shut the fuck up and sit your fat ass down." Revy said.
"Revy, Enough." Sean said making her scoff. "We will try and find this creature as quickly as possible. But we do know for a fact it is still here." Sean said.
"Uh sir." Rex said walking in.
"What is it Captain?" Lane asked.
"We might have a problem." Rex said.
Soon everyone arrived down in the subway only to see it trashed and tunneled in.
"Whoa." Revy said seeing the place trashed.
"What happened?" Shredder asked.
"Delta squad was examining the room up top when they noticed the floor was missing. We realized he could tunnel his way through the tunnels...He could be outside the quarantine zone." Rex said.
"Great. Just great." Raph said.
"How many tunnels lead off the island?" Shredder asked.
"Only 14 sir. None of them have been used." A droid said.
"Perfect. Have them sealed up." Shredder said.
"Uh how?" A droid asked.
"Do I look like I care? Make sure the beast doesn't leave the island!" Shredder ordered.
"Roger, Roger." the Droid said leaving.
"Droids." Rex said making Mikey chuckle.
"You know...He's not some enemy trying to evade you. He's just an animal." Nick said.
"Yes I know. Do you have a suggestion?" Shredder asked.
"Well, when I had to catch Earth worms...I knew the best way wasn't to dig them up but to draw them out. All we need to find is what he needs...And he'll come to us." Nick said.
"Hmm." Sean said in thought.
"Hey check this out." A clone commando said seeing some flopping fish.
"Wait a second. Let's go over everything we know so far. He attacked a cannery ship and pulled down three fishing trawlers and attacks the docks. What did all three have in common?" Sean asked.
"Fish. Ah, I see." Shredder said.
"Lane I got an idea." Sean said.
Later
The Legion had set up a trap to catch Zilla using fish that the Immortals made from thin air.
"Are we even sure this is gonna work?" Raph asked.
"It better. I don't wanna have splinter come back and find our second home trashed." Leo said.
"Where is he anyway?" Tony asked.
"At the Jedi temple teaching them new techniques." Donny said.
Sean watched all this and frowned.
"This isn't working." Rex said.
"Hmm." Shredder said seeing the manhole covers on the streets.
"Perhaps because he does not smell it. Those manholes are more than likely covering up the smell from reaching him." Shredder said.
"Yeah...That might help. Nick get some men to remove those manholes." Sean said on the comms.
"I was just about to." Nick said getting the men to do just that.
"So we lure him out and then what?" Reznov asked.
"We get an accurate reading on him. Size, Length, Power and so on. If we can determine the risk factors we can either find him a planet to live on in peace. Use him as an asset." Sean said.
"And if none of those are available?" Rex asked.
"Then I'll have no choice but to give the kill order." Sean said.
"Would it not be more preferable to remove him now?" Shredder asked.
"Would you?" Sean asked making him chuckle.
Nick removed a manhole cover when he heard groaning sounds making him look up ahead.
The ground began to crack towards him as he watched it do so before something spewed out of the ground.
And coming up was Zilla making Nick and the others run back.
"Sean...He's here." Nick said as Zilla roared.
"Hold fire." Sean said as Zilla made his way to the bait.
"Incredible." Rex said.
"And to think. Mankind unintentionally created this creature." Shredder as as Zilla ate the bait.
Sean scanned it before the troopers started firing making him roar.
"Who gave the order to fire?" Sean asked as Zilla ran off while damaging the city.
"The Mayor did." Lane said annoyed making him sigh.
Later
"YOU FUCKING IDIOT!" Sean yelled at the Mayor.
"YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO KILL THAT THING!" The Mayor yelled.
"Thats not your call to make. The objective was to study first then decide what to do. You're out of the loop from now on." Sean said.
"SECURITY! ARREST THAT MAN! ARREST HIM!" The Mayor yelled before Clones grabbed him and took him as he screamed in rage.
"I hate politicians." Sean said annoyed.
"I got a blood sample. Maybe it might be able to tell us something." Nick said.
"See what you can find." Shredder said as the two left.
Arriving at a drug store Nick asked for some pregnancy tests.
"You must have some harem."
Nick turned seeing a woman he was not expecting to see.
"Audrey? What are you doing here?" Nick asked surprised.
"I work in New York as a reporter now." Audrey said.
"Oh...So you're still trying." Nick said getting his stuff and left as she followed.
"Are you still mad?" Audrey asked.
"Audrey...You tried to expose Sean at the wrong time for the wrong reasons." Nick said.
"I know...I just really wanted to be a reporter back then that I wasn't thinking straight. What about him?" Audrey asked.
"Nothing but pure hatred and disgust." Nick said.
"I guess I can't blame him." Audrey said leaving.
"Audrey...Eight years is a long time. Can I make you a cup of tea?" Nick asked making her smile.
"Sure." Audrey said.
Later
"Good news is our weapons can injure it but right now I wanna see if we can capture it and relocate it to a planet it can thrive in peace first." Sean said.
"Son...I understand and admire your peoples ideals that everything deserves to live. But this creature is dangerous. We can't take the chance." The Governor said.
"We can at least try. If it's impossible then I will give that order. But right now we know how to lure it out. So next time we'll use more open area and weapons that don't rely solely on heat seeking technology." Sean said.
"Actually Sean...We might have a problem." Nick said.
"What is it?" Sean asked.
"The blood I collected shows evidence that the creature is about to Lay eggs...Or already has." Nick said shocking them.
"Do you mean to say theres two of those things out there?" The Governor asked.
"No I believe it reproduces Asexually." Nick said.
"And if it does the odds are the offspring will as well." Lane said rubbing his face making Sean sigh.
"Ok...The Kill order is granted. If it does lay eggs they'll proliferate out of control." Sean said.
"And we'll no longer be the dominate species." Nick said.
"Uh guys." Revy said showing the news of Audrey giving out the exact information that Nick gave them while also spewing lies about how Sean knew about this but brushed it off.
"What the?" Sean said annoyed before looking at Nick. "You went to your EX about this?" Sean asked.
"No...I never...Oh no...I didn't tell her to use that for the News...I didn't think she would..." Nick tried to say.
"Find her." Sean said getting Rex and his men to leave.
"Pack up your stuff. You're officially off this project as of now." The Governor said.
"No." Sean said shocking him. "He'll be looking for the Eggs with another unit I know. I'll send him to bring him to them." Sean said making the Governor sigh.
"Fine." The Governor said.
Later
Audrey grunted as she was pushed against the wall by Revy.
"Sit your ass down." Revy said shoving her down in a chair.
"You got some nerve." Sean said making her glare.
"It is your fault Nick broke up with me." Audrey said.
"You did that yourself. Did you even consider what could happen if you exposed me back then? What might happen to a 12 year old boy? Hmm?" Sean asked making her frown.
"No." Audrey said.
"Your selfish and cruel. You only care about yourself." Sean said.
"Thats not true. I was just so desperate to become a reporter that...I didn't think things through. Yes I lied about what I said on the news because I held a grudge...But I never meant for Nick to get in trouble." Audrey said.
"Too little too late. His reputation has been damaged because of you." Sean said shocking her. "All his theories and plans won't be heard now because of the leak he accidentally let out about Zilla because you stole from him." Sean said.
"I didn't mean for that to happen...I wasn't thinking about what might happen." Audrey said.
"And you think that makes all the difference?" Sean said.
"No...I was just so mad at you for what happened thinking it was all your fault...It was mine." Audrey said making him scoff.
"You're placed under arrest until this whole thing is over which honestly. I'm hoping takes years." Sean said shocking her as he and Revy left slamming the door as she sobbed.
Meanwhile
"So who are you anyway?" Nick asked the commander of the mission to find the eggs.
"Philipe Roaché. I met Sean months before you did. When your EX was going to expose him I told him the best option was to leave. He was reluctant but he did." Philipe said
"Oh." Nick said.
"When this creature showed up it wasn't difficult to realize he was created from the nuclear experiments by my people. It was our mistake so we are here to clean it up." Philipe said.
"Sir." A clone commando known as Boss said getting their attention. "Not sure where to start to be honest." Boss said. (For those who've played Republic Commando picture him and his squad along with the same voices from the game)
"We can get in no problem with Clarence. We just don't know where to start looking." Philipe said.
"I do. The 23rd Street subway station. Thats where we found the fish. Good place to start looking. " Nick said.
"Sargent." Philipe said.
"Right away Sir. Delta let's get everything loaded up." Boss said.
Later
Nick and the others were down in the tunneled sewers.
"Damn. And that thing did all this?" Scorch asked.
"Makes you wonder if there are more out there." Sev said.
"More?" Nick asked.
"If theres one theres gotta be others out there." Sev said.
"He's got a point." Fixer said.
"Cut the Chatter." Boss said.
Thats when they heard groaning.
"Uh oh." Scorch said before Zilla came in and roared loudly.
"Out of the way!" Boss yelled as they rushed out of the way as he went topside.
"Where did he just come from?" Fixer asked as they looked at the tunnel he came from.
"According to the maps..." Nick said.
"Madison square garden." Boss said.
"Yeah." Nick said as they left.
Outside A clone known as Commander Cody was on top of a building before hearing groaning making him rush to the side seeing it down below.
"Commander, Spotted in section five heading for the trap." Cody said.
"Copy that." Sean said. "Rex he's heading towards ya." Sean said.
"Roger that sir. We're ready for him." Rex said.
Zilla soon cam into view seeing the bait this time around.
"Got him in sight." Rex said.
"Wait a second. Something's wrong." Sargent Hawk said.
"He's not buying it this time." Motoko said.
"Damnit. Kid we a got a problem here. He's not going for it this time." Mason said.
"I can't say I'm surprised. Not only powerful but highly intelligent." Sean said.
Thats when Zilla roared.
"He's leaving! FIRE! FIRE AT WILL!" Rex yelled as everyone opened fire at him as he bolted.
"DAMN!" Lane yelled.
"Captain Blade stop that creature." Colonel Grimm said.
"Roger that Colonel. We're on it." Captain Blade said, (Army men)
Zilla roared as he ran off while several aircraft were following him and firing at him.
"FIRE!" Sargent Major Johnson yelled firing missiles at him but he dodged.
"Evasive maneuvers." Blade said as they avoided getting hit.
"Target is in the clear and heading for the westside highway." Blade said.
"He's heading for the Water." Sean said.
Zilla roared as he jumped over the men before going deep down into the ocean.
"Fucking perfect." Sean said annoyed.
"Don't worry son the Navy has a little something there waiting for him." An admiral said.
Under the water were submarines ready to take Zilla down.
"We got him on Sonar. Utah closing in." A captain said.
"Make final preparations. Prepare to fire." The Admiral said.
"First we get rid of him then we find the nest. We can't take chances." Sean said.
"And what if he's wrong?" The Governor asked.
"Do you really wanna take chances and months if not weeks later more show up and start producing like crazy?" Sean asked making him frown at that thought.
Two of the Subs fired torpedos at it but he was keeping a good distance from them.
"Sir, The creature is heading for one of the subs with two torpedos on him." A tech said.
"Tell them to activate the shielding." The Admiral said.
"Yes sir." The tech said as Zilla cut through it with one of the spikes on his back just before the shields activated protecting the crew from the blast.
"Anchorage crew is secure but the vessel took some damage from both it and the torpedos."
"Get them out of there." Sean said.
"Aye sir."
"Damnit he's heading right back here." Hudson said.
"I want the remaining two subs to track him and fire on him." Sean said.
"Aye sir." One of the sub Captains said.
Soon enough Zilla hit the rock wall before he started digging.
Only for two torpedos to hit making it groan.
"Direct hit."
This made everyone cheer for that.
"Finally. Now it's up to Nick and his team to find the nest." Sean said.
"Let's hope his theory was wrong." Lane said.
Meanwhile
Nick and the others made it into Madison square garden seeing it trashed.
"Man. What a waste." Scorch said.
"Why do you say that?" Sev asked.
"I was hoping to catch an upcoming game when this was over." Scorch said making the others laugh.
"This will be easy to fix when this is over." Philipe said as they made it further in.
"So we find the eggs blow them up and go home." Fixer said.
"Hold on." Boss said getting a message. "Sooner than this. Command just sent out an encoded message. The first one just got blasted by Subs. That part is done." Boss said.
"All right. Lets find the eggs." Sev said as they moved forward.
Soon they found three of them together.
"Three Eggs? I thought there'd be more." Nick said.
"And you were right." Boss said seeing more.
"Um..." Nick said looking around. "Wow...Theres gotta be 20 eggs here...Way more." Nick said.
Fixer went in the breaker room turned on the power lighting the place.
And revealed were hundreds of eggs.
"Start counting." Philipe said.
"Sir...We don't have nearly enough explosives for this." Boss said.
"What do we do now?" Nick asked.
"Contact the others and let them know the situation. We'll bomb the building." Philipe said.
"Right away." Boss said leaving.
Scorch got close to one before noticing all the fish on the ground.
"That explains all the fish he took. He was bringing it for them." Sev said.
Thats when one moved before a hatchling came out and roared.
Soon others began hatching.
"Oh my god." Fixer said.
"Come on. They can't be that dangerous." Scorch said.
"Wait..." Philipe said smelling the air before smelling himself.
"Oh thats not good." Boss said.
"What?" Scorch asked getting serious.
"We smell like the fish. How do you think they'll see us?" Boss asked.
"Oh shit." Scorch said as one roared before another hatched trying to get him.
"EVERYONE OUTSIDE NOW!" Philipe yelled as they ran out of the room and sealed one of the doors.
"Lock the doors! We can't let them get out. Not one! GO!" Boss yelled as the commandos rushed off.
"I got mine." Scorch said.
"Same." Sev said.
"We're good here." Fixer said.
"Everyone meet up." Philipe said.
Soon they met up top floor.
"All the doors are sealed. But thats not gonna hold them." Sev said.
"And I can't get in contact with command. All the lines are jammed up." Boss said.
"Thousands of people must be calling for the evacuation to end when the original got killed." Nick said.
"Meaning it's clogging our own communication. We're on the nest site and we can't even tell the higher ups about it." Boss said before the ceiling came down as someone came down.
"What the hell?" Scorch said before it was revealed to be April.
"You? What are you doing here? This isn't about a story is it?" Boss asked.
"Hey. I am reporter. I risk my neck for one all the time. How else you supposed to get a good one." April said.
"She's got a point." Scorch said.
"Do you have any means to contact the outside?" Philipe asked.
"No...But I know a way to do it from here." April said leading them to another room.
"What is this place?" Sev asked.
"A news cast room. Channel six monitors this place and we can send out a broadcast. I know Donny and the others monitor everything involving this event so they'll listen." April said.
"I see. We can broadcast to them the situation and they'll send in a bomber." Philipe said.
"And people say news people are stupid." Scorch said.
"Hey!" April said annoyed.
Meanwhile
"Still can't contact Philipe and the others. I got this feeling something is up." Sean said. (At least he didn't say the one jinxing line I got a bad feeling about this)
"Probably in an area they can't contact us." Lane said.
"Uh sir." Johnson said showing them April's report at Madison square garden.
"Unbelievable." Sean said.
"Get me the Air force!" Lane yelled as a clone handed him a line. "This is General Lane! I need F-18s in the air and blow up Madison square garden. That is Affirmative. Let me spell it out for you! I want you to blow up Madison square garden!" Lane yelled.
Meanwhile
The group had managed to get out of the building just in time trapped the hatchlings in the air.
Up above were the Jet fighters along with Clone aircraft.
"Want to do the honors ace or can we all do it?" A clone Pilot asked amused making him chuckle.
"Save your ammo trooper." The Lead pilot said firing two missiles. "Two away.
"GET CLEAR!" Boss yelled as they hit blowing up the whole building.
"Command the nest has been totaled."
"Roger that. Return to base." Lane said.
"Hold on a second." A clone said before Zilla came out and roared. "Oh you gotta be kidding me!"
"What is it?" Sean asked.
"It's Zilla! He's still alive. And chasing the team. Guess he's royally pissed off." The Clone said.
"Oh by the Creators." Sean said rubbing his face.
"What does it take to kill this thing?" Leo asked.
"Philipe?" Sean called.
"I hear you my friend." Philipe said.
"Get that thing to the Brooklyn bridge. Try to have it tangle itself in the suspension cables." Sean said.
"I see what your planing." Philipe said as he and the team were in a truck as April recorded the whole thing.
Later
"There he is." Lane said seeing him caught in the suspension cables. "Pilots take him down for good this time."
"Roger that."
The aircraft soon flew right at him.
"Here we go." A clone said as they fired.
"Two away."
Six missiles hit him first as he roared in pain.
Philipe managed to get across the bridge just as the end came down.
Zilla roared loudly into the Air.
"Direct hit but the target is still moving."
"Circle around and fire again!" Lane yelled.
Six more missile came at him making him roar louder before he collapsed on the ground.
Sean came out of the crowd seeing it as it moaned in pain.
Sighing he walked to it before placing a hand on the nose before whispering something in Immortal tongue as it died off.
"What was that prayer?" Leo asked.
"It's something to bring better fortune in the next life." Shredder said.
"Ugh. I really didn't want to do this but I had no choice." Sean said.
"It was too dangerous to be kept alive." Shredder said.
"Yeah. I want our forces to head back to Madison square garden. I wanna make sure we didn't miss any." Sean said.
Later
Aircraft landed in what remained of Madison square garden.
"Damn. And you guys seriously went up against hundreds?" Revy asked.
"Never got a shot off though. Too many." Boss said.
"They're all dead now though." Sean said as they went in deeper.
"So what do you plan to do with any stragglers?" Hudson asked.
"Well...If any did survive and honestly I hope so...I plan to sterilize them...And study them...And place them on a world where they can live in peace." Sean said.
"Son I don't think we can do that." Lane said.
"Sure we can. Set weapons to stun and take them off world." Scorch said.
"See." Sean said.
"Fine if we get the chance then yes." Lane said as they walked down a tunnel. "Honestly I'm surprised you're still standing." Lane said.
"What does that mean?" Sean asked.
"Son. You're clearly exhausted. You can't run the Legion by yourself." Lane said.
"Mmm. Yeah...I've been thinking about that. I think...I need to make a council to help run things." Sean said.
"Council. Sounds medieval." Lane said.
"Hardly. My Great Grandfather and all his predecessors all had councils to help advise on anything. They all did the same thing every generation though. Marek was once part of it." Sean said.
"Marek? That bitter old Immortal who can't accept change?" Lane asked.
"Yup. Some people can hardly believe Alice is his blood." Sean said (Sora a reminder Alice is Marek's granddaughter)
"Ok so your setting up a council. Want me on it?" Lane asked.
"Sure. You got decades of experience and most of the US millitary is part of the Legion these days. Find Eiling for me and have him join too. At least he won't be afraid to get his hands dirty for the more difficult missions that need to be done." Sean said. (The Main reason I like the Flash version of Eiling is because it's Clancy Brown. Hard to imagine the guy who's a villain in most series is the voice actor for Nickelodeon's best series)
Thats when the tunnels started collapsing separating them all.
"That went well." Scorch said.
"Wheres the commander?" Boss asked.
Sean groaned as he sat up before noticing some good on his hand.
"Great." Sean said before noticing an Egg. "Guys...I found one." Sean said as it hatched before the last hatchling came out and roared before looking at him. "Easy little guy. Easy." Sean said as it slowly approached him as Sean made a fish before giving him it as it swallowed it before rubbing against him.
Thats when the Ceiling came down as it shielded him.
"Theres one." Sev said aiming.
"Hold you fire!" Sean yelled as he got up. "It's not aggressive." Sean said.
"Think this is the only one left?" Scorch asked.
"I'll bet anything. No doubt about it. But unlike with the rest this one is far less aggressive. Probably the runt of the Litter I think is the saying." Sean said as it rubbed against him.
"So what do we do with him?" Lane asked.
Later
Zilla or Junior as he was called was in a small but decently large facility eating fish.
"We'll study him incase theres a way to have him modified for the same purpose as the Titans. We can call him a Mutant Faction one." Alice said.
"Nick. I got a job for ya. Since Audrey screwed you over...I got something new for ya to do." Sean said.
"Let me guess. Find and study any other mutations?" Nick asked.
"You know mutations so it's right in your field." Sean said.
"I'm in." Elsie said making him scoff.
"Well...If it's for the benefit of science I'll help too." Craven said.
"I'll have an operative of mine come down and if necessary make the hard choice." Philipe said.
"I can live with that." Sean said.
"And I know someone for tech support." Nick said.
"Good." Sean said.
"So what happens to Audrey?" Nick asked.
"She's been let go but her network dropped her. As far as I can tell...No Network will hire her again since she lied about everything involving me. Course no one actually bought it though since my people have made life a lot easier for everyone." Sean said.
"And she wasn't even a reporter anyway." Lane said.
"She wasn't?" Nick asked.
"No. She stole the badge of the guy she worked with then made it look like she was one just so she could get close to you and use anything you learned and twist it to make me look bad." Sean said.
"You know...I know Audrey is a good person...I just don't think she realizes what she does and how it affects others." Nick said.
"Being a good person involves doing the right things for the right reasons. She hasn't done any of that since she found out about me. She wants to prove that she needs to start doing it." Sean said leaving.
Authors's note: Man I loved this movie as a little kid. I would watch it till I fell asleep at night almost every night. I know there are a lot of people who apparently didn't like it since it wasn't like the original Godzilla and died a little too easy unlike him but it did set up the TV series which everyone loved way more.
