Chapter 23 Everything is Wonderful
Sean was in his office going over some reports.
Its been a few days since the snow storm on Berk and since Tenzin tried to force Korra to Republic City which now made the relationship between the two very tense.
Tenzin was currently in Jail and his daughter Jinora moved to Berk to try and repair the damage and wanted to learn more about the culture.
"At least his daughter actually knows better unlike his dumbass." Sean said.
"Thats it Hank! We're done!" Janet yelled outside.
"Oh no." Sean said going outside seeing Janet and Hank arguing.
"What did I do? I'm working on something good. Whats wrong?" Hank asked.
"Your seriously asking me that?" Janet asked making Sean flinch knowing what was the problem.
"Look whatever issues you have I have more important things to do right now and..." Hank tried to say before.
SMACK!
Sean widened his eyes dropping his mouth as she smacked him hard and stormed out.
"Oh by the creators." Sean said grinning.
"What the hell did I do?" Hank asked annoyed.
"Uh...Hank...Do you not Know what Yesterday was?" Sean asked.
"Tuesday." Hank said simply.
"Specifically what the month and day was?"
"September 5." Hank said.
"And whats on that day for her?" Sean asked grinning.
"Uh...Oh no. Oh on, No, No!" Hank said.
"It was her birthday. And you blew it off for another science experiment. Again." Sean said grinning.
"I...Ok I can make this right." Hank said.
"Too late man. This isn't the first time you've done this. This is like the 3rd time in a row." Sean said making him flinch.
"Ok...I have a bad tendency to forget things like that I'll admit. But I love her." Hank said.
"Hank...I got more girlfriends than you do science experiments and I never forget important things when it comes to them. You focus more on your science stuff than you do her. It proves which one you care about more." Sean said. (Which is so true)
"Thats not true." Hank said.
"A little late to prove it now. You heard her. She just dumped your ass since this is the third time you forgot." Sean said.
"Oh and you knew?" Hank asked.
"Yes cause I read her file and I gave her a glass rose in a display case. Which she loved I might add." Sean said making him frown. "Don't blame me. You fucked up again. It's your own fault." Sean said leaving making him sigh.
Janet was in the break room drinking to vent.
"Ok enough." Sean said taking that. "Last thing I need is you drunk on the job and taking your anger out on someone else." Sean said making her sigh.
"Sorry It's just. I love Hank but he's so...So...AGH!" Janet yelled in frustration.
"Frustrating? Unintentionally selfish...Self centered?" Sean asked in amusement.
"Yes." Janet said making him chuckle. "How do you do it? All those girls. Rogue, Korra, Diana, Kreatea, Karai and so many others I don't even know." Janet said.
"Easy. I'm selfless. I care more about others than I do myself. All my kind are excluding Arthur's siblings and Marek." Sean said making her smile.
"Yeah. So...I..." Janet tried to say.
"Wanna have a date this week?" Sean asked amused making her blink before giggling. "Tonight at 7. I got some place nice in mind." Sean said making her smile kissing.
"See ya. I got patrol now." Janet said leaving.
"You know I'm not surprised you end up dating Janet." Maria said amused walking in.
"What can I say. I'm what most girls want like most of my kind." Sean said making her grin.
"And who's to say I don't want a real tough guy?" Maria asked.
"Standing right here." Sean said making her laugh. "So you find any more potential recruits?" Sean asked.
"Five actually. Daredevil, Elektra, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones. First two and Fourth were easy to convince the other two wanted to be paid." Maria said.
"Better that than them working for the enemy." Sean said.
"True. By the way. Price wanted to forward a complaint about Pym saying he's bugging them about trying to constantly educate our prisoners." Maria said.
"Fucking cocksucker. I told him already not all of them can be turned. Some people are just too far gone. Thats why the risk assessment is there." Sean said.
"Well, if he keeps this up he's gonna push someone into starting a fist fight with him." Maria said.
"I'd say it would be well deserved. He even thinks Joker can be cured. Ideals are peaceful history is violent. Even Superman isn't that optimistic." Sean said.
Later
Stark was in the middle of a meeting with someone from a company who used to be the top in energy projects.
But ever since he came out with Arc Reactor technology he's been losing business.
Add to the fact Immortal technology was making everything obsolete.
The Man was named Simon Williams.
And currently Tony was working on some new upgrades to security systems Saki asked for his division building.
"You've been buying shares of my company since last month. I've built my company from nothing. It's all I have." Simon said.
"Was. I just bought the last of the shares an hour ago." Tony said so into his work.
"No. I'm not gonna let you do this. I'm not gonna let you destroy my entire life!" Simon yelled leaving.
"Destroy? Wait a minute. Simon hold on a second I didn't." Tony tried to say before he slammed the door. "Great. How does Bruce make this so much easier?" Tony asked as Antman came out of a machine after putting in some upgrades.
"You're a real piece of work Tony." Hank said. (Your one to talk)
"Not now. I gotta get these upgrades finished for Shredder so his division's base is working smoothly." Tony said. (Sora it's the 2003 version and the brother you'll have to wait and see)
"You just crushed that guy. What kind of person so casually disregards another human being like that?" Hank asked.
"Ok A no I didn't. He didn't give me a chance to explain And B your one to talk mister who forgot his girlfriend's birthday...For the third time." Tony said making him frown at that remark.
Meanwhile
Sean was going over some last minute reports on anything regarding HYDRA and COBRA.
"Mmm. Nothing useful." Sean said as the doors opened up as Anakin walked in.
"Still looking?" Anakin asked.
"I swear these guys are annoying to track." Sean said.
"You dealt with Zemo before you have to know how he works." Anakin said.
"I know how he operates. Where he operates is another thing. The only place that makes sense is HYDRA island but If I attack now they'll just scatter all over the place making it even more difficult. Fury says he's got a way to track them but it's gonna take time." Sean said.
"And time is the only luxury we have." Anakin said.
"As long as that Idiot doesn't screw up again." Sean said.
"She learned her lesson after what happened." Anakin said.
"How she thinks negotiations is always the right answer is beyond me. Ideals are peaceful. History is violent. Thats the one sad truth about almost every universe." Sean said.
"True." Anakin said.
Meanwhile
"I'm not judging. I'm just saying you value money and business over people." Hank said.
"How the hell is that not judging?" Tony asked annoyed.
"I've seen it before." Hank said.
"Ok enough. This isn't about Simon or Ultron. This is about you taking your frustrations out on me because of your screw up with Janet." Tony said.
"I made a mistake." Hank said.
"Three times in a row. Even I knew what yesterday was. Hank you constantly disregard more about how people feel than I did back then. Taking more pride in your work than anything else. And look what it got you." Tony said.
"I'm trying to make the world better." Hank said.
"By constantly telling people what is right and wrong to their faces? Woods told me he was so close to decking you in the face for telling him to make peace with the guy who killed his wife." Tony said.
"I'm just...Ok so maybe I was wrong on that." Hank said.
"Hank...Most of the Legion can't stand you for your ideals. Thats all they are. Ideals. The People you want to have released are dangerous. And everyone knows that. What if they kill again?" Tony asked.
"Then we'll keep trying till we get it right." Hank said.
"Your not listening as usual. No one feels the way you do. You cannot educate people like them and just think they'll change in a heartbeat." Tony said.
"We've done it before. Ransik and his Mutants. The Demons. The people Waller brought in." Hank said thats.
"Thats different. Sean compromised with Ransik and the Demons. As for the People Waller brought in he gave them something in return. They didn't just change in a heartbeat the way you want." Tony said.
"But it's proof that people can change." Hank said.
"Not the kind you want. You just want them to think they can change out of the goodness in their hearts. Thats not being realistic." Tony said making him frown.
Meanwhile
Sean was going over some new recruits when he felt the place shake.
"What the?" Sean asked before someone burst in.
It was a man glowing purple with red eyes.
"Wheres Stark?"
"Who the hell are you?" Sean asked before getting blasted out side making his armor appear on him as he shook his head before scanning him. "Ionic energy? Damn." Sean said before he tried blasting him again but Sean dodged before grabbing him and threw him down hard.
Flying down the man just growled at him.
"I want Stark!"
"Who...Wait a minute. Simon Williams?" Sean asked scanning his face getting a match. "The hell happened to you?" Sean asked.
"I'm what Stark Made me! He took my company away from me. I'll built that Company from nothing. AND HE STOLE IT!" Simon roared blasting him making him grunt as he crashed into a building but unharmed thanks to his armor.
"Fucking perfect. I expected Hank to fuck up." Sean said as he flew down as he blasted him again but Sean absorbed the energy this time.
"Wait!" Antman yelled.
"Out of the fucking way hank!" Sean yelled.
"Look we can resolve this peacefully." Hank said.
"I only want Stark. HE TOOK EVERYTHING FROM ME!" Simon yelled blasting at Sean who dodged before blasting him back making him yell.
"STOP!" Hank yelled growing big grabbing him.
"HANK HAVE YOU LOST IT!" Sean yelled.
"Look we can resolve this peacefully." Antman said.
"Is that what you actually think or you just trying to prove your right and everyone is always wrong. This is why everyone hates you because you cannot ever accept your wrong." Sean said making him growl.
Thats when something started happening to Simon seeing his energy was moving around.
"Wait...Something ain't right. Simon where did you get this power from? You gotta be honest. Cause clearly it's failing." Sean said.
"AIM. My brother hooked me up." Simon groaned.
"ARE YOU NUTS!" Sean yelled as the others arrived.
"Simon's energy field is in flux. We gotta save him." Ironman said.
"I got an idea. The Arc reactor can stabilize him." Sean said as the two grabbed him.
"NO!" Simon yelled trying to fight them.
"Simon listen! We're trying to save you. Is revenge worth your life!" Sean yelled.
"Wait..." Simon said as his whole body vanished.
"I hope you're both proud of yourselves. You both just killed an innocent man." Hank said before Sean punched him down.
"THATS IT!" Sean yelled grabbing him as he started punching him repeatedly making him groan as he held him by the neck. "Normally I hate unnecessary violence but you have pissed me off one time too many!" Sean yelled.
"Sean wait!" Janet said stopping him.
"This isn't what I wanted. He didn't let me explain. I bought Simon's company to save it." Tony said getting their attention. "Simon had brilliant ideas. I wanted to work with him. To save what he built so he could help us." Tony said making Hank widen his eyes. "All I wanted to to do was help him." Iron man said.
"I..." Hank tried to say but Sean held him up glaring at him with red slitted eyes making him gulp.
"In my office...Now." Sean said dragging him away.
Later
"I'm at the end of my fucking rope Hank. You tried to do things your way again. Ignoring everything and everyone around you thinking your way was right as usual. And didn't even ask Tony to explain what he was doing thinking you knew everything." Sean said.
"I...I made a mistake." Hank said ashamed.
"You're suspended." Sean said shocking him. "For a month." Sean said.
"What...You can't just do that." Hank said.
"Oh but you can do whatever you want? I have gotten hundreds of complaints about you from everyone. They're sick and tired of this we can make everyone better crap. If I don't do something now that speaks poorly for my leadership. Go back to the university and stay there." Sean said making him hold his head in shame as he left. "And don't ask to come back to the labs either. No one wants you there." Sean said as he left.
Later
Sean sighed as he walked into a classy restaurant.
"Hey." Janet said as she was in a black and yellow dress making him smirk.
"Trying to find something similar to your outfit?" Sean asked making her giggle as they sat down.
"I'm really sorry about Hank." Janet said.
"That ain't your fault. He's a fool. Thinking we can save everyone but we know differently. While some people can be saved not all of them can be. People during the breakout they made their choices. I read the files on all of them I'd say less than 5% of them actually could make a better life for themselves but the others not so much. He won't accept that though." Sean said.
"Lets not worry about that and just enjoy tonight. It makes everything today worth it." Janet said.
"As the lady asks." Sean said making her giggle as they ordered their meals.
Meanwhile
Back at the Arc Reactor room Simon began to reform.
"Where am I? Am I Alive?" Simon asked.
"Indeed you are." Amora said making him face her. "But I shouldn't after you attacked my beloved who did nothing wrong to you. And more importantly." Amora said showing Stark's words after he was thought to be dead making him widen his eyes.
"I...I didn't know." Simon said in regret.
"Fortunately for you My master has need of your power. To give the Legion a little headache. Do that and I'll give you your old life back free of charge." Amora said.
"What do you want me to do?" Simon asked.
"Just give them another problem to focus on is all with the others. Nothing much. But I warn you. Attack Sean again...And you'll wish you remained dead." Amora said.
Meanwhile
Sean was in his office going over some new weapon designs Tarkin had brought up.
"Assertor Class Star Destroyer? Nice. Though I like the Spirit of fire better." Sean said.
"Is that why you saved my crew?"
Sean looked up seeing Captain James Cutter.
"Hey old man." Sean said.
"Long time no see son." Cutter said.
"I like the Spirit of fire. Nice name and design. Thats why I'm upgrading it and making it bigger to this size since everyone deserves their personal flagship." Sean said making him chuckle.
"Most would want something brand new." Cutter said.
"I like the old things. It has class." Sean said.
"Hmph." Cutter said amused.
Author's note: Yeah I know not very long and didn't show everything in this episode but for some reason I never really liked it all that much. And Hank really gets on my nerves at times. All that we can make a better world crap thinking everyone can change for the better. Please. As I always believed. Ideals are peaceful but history is violent. Not everyone wants to change so casually like nothing happened. Thats a fantasy. And he never believed that. Anyway Next Chapter is gonna involve a certain magical item a demon sorcerer wants. And involve our favorite Chinese girl who gets into trouble much older. Sora your an Idiot. Do you see anyone else complaining about the Polls?
