Chapter 3 Peace or War?
Sean sat down at the balcony of his home looking at the stars.
"Every night it's the same thing with you." Sabertooth said walking in making him chuckle.
"We didn't exactly have a good view in the labs. Makes you appreciate what you now have." Sean said.
"True. So what are we gonna do?" Sabertooth asked sitting down.
"We are gonna head to the city tomorrow and warn them not to come back. Simple as that and get some information." Sean said.
"About what?" Sabertooth asked.
"Why their entire world just suddenly collapsed. You can't tell me your not the least bit curious as to exactly what happened." Sean said.
"A little. My best thought is people like Luthor led them down hill." Sabertooth said.
"I thought the same thing but then I realized that couldn't be true since the whole world went down hill. I highly doubt they all had bad leaders." Sean said.
"So what are you thinking?" Sabertooth asked.
"Bullock said we ruined the world. Now how did we do that when we have been up here for 10 years?" Sean asked.
"You think it might have something to do with us?" Sabertooth asked.
"Or it could be a coincidence that just happened by chance. We'll find out tomorrow." Sean said.
Next day
In the abandoned parts of Metropolis hundreds of Mutants rushed into the city with Juggernaut leading them.
"They should be in the center." Sabertooth said.
"Ok." Sean said.
Bruce along with his son rushed to the front entrance of the colony where Gordon was waiting at before seeing the strongest Mutants at the gates.
"I think Bullock pissed them off more then you let on." Gordon said.
The gates slowly opened up before Bruce slowly walked out.
"What the hell are we waiting for? Lets kill them." Bullock said to Gordon.
"Bullock shut up. I'm not gonna start a fight here." Gordon said.
Sean snarled before walking up front where Bruce was.
"Who's in charge here?" Sean asked putting everyone on edge.
"I am." Gordon said walking forward.
"Commissioner Gordon. I know about you. You were charge of the Police of Gotham." Sean said.
"Listen we don't want any trouble. I'm sorry about what Bullock tried to do yesterday." Gordon said.
"I'm sure you are. I find it strange you would allow a man who tried to kill a teenager a gun." Sean said making everyone glare at Bullock seeing this was his fault.
"The hell are you glaring at me for! They caused the Virus not me!" Bullock yelled.
"Virus? What Virus?" Sean asked confused.
"You didn't pay attention to current events out there did you?" Gordon asked.
"No. We wanted nothing to do with humans after we escaped. You can imagine why. Now what is this virus?" Sean asked.
"We called it Virus X. A disease so deadly it killed people in days. It ruined everything for us since everything started falling apart. Nuclear plants and such were gone with the people who ran them dead. It happened after you escaped but we found proof that one of Luthor's scientists was infected with it before you escaped and accidentally spread it to a Metropolis Pilot who spread it to the world. This is the Result." Gordon said making Sean look around seeing so few humans left.
"This all that remains?" Sabertooth asked.
"Maybe. The Justice League found everyone they could in the country and brought them here. Only one in 500 were immune to the Virus. The rest went down fighting because of the riots." Bruce said.
"I see. We don't want to fight anyone but we will if you push us." Sean said.
"SEE! These freaks are threatening us! Kill them!" Bullock yelled pulling his gun out but the others held him back.
"This is your home now. Stay away from ours." Sean said before handing Bruce Damian's bag. "Don't come back." Sean said as they left.
After that Gordon had to rush through a crowd before pulling out a blow horn.
"EVERYONE! Calm down! Remember they don't carry the Virus!" Gordon yelled.
"How did they find us!"
"We found them yesterday after Bullock tried to shoot one." Gordon said making everyone glare at him.
"WHAT! Their Freaks!" Bullock yelled.
"Aren't you forgetting what Luthor did to them?"
"Who cares! They deserved it!" Bullock yelled before people started beating on him.
"ENOUGH!" Batman yelled getting them to stop. "Remember they don't carry the Virus. And besides even if they did we're all immune."
"Look I get. Everyone here is scared out of their minds. So am I. But like the Juggernaut said they don't want to fight. Neither do we. Even if we didn't have those stockpiles of weapons left behind by the army we wouldn't pose much a threat to them anyway. But you all know the crisis we're facing here. We're almost out of fuel...Which means no more power. That dam up there was the answer...We just didn't know they were up there. We will find another way." Gordon said.
After that was done the League was in a meeting.
"That went well." Flash said.
"Bullock really messed up big time." Gordon said rubbing his face.
"There is no other alternative power source." Batman said.
"We have to find something else. Maybe Superman can look into the other cities and see if some is left." Hawkgirl said.
"I already tried. Whatever was left that we could find was brought here." Superman said.
"Everything else is gone." Livewire said.
"We have to go back and try and explain the situation we're in. Maybe he might listen he's not beyond reason." Wonder Woman said.
"After Bullock's outburst?" Ivy said skeptical.
"We don't have a choice." Green Arrow said.
"I'll go back up there." Bruce said making everyone look at him. "We have to tell him what we're facing and hope he'll listen." Bruce said.
"I really don't think thats a good idea." Gordon said. "He told us to leave his home alone and he may get violent." Gordon said before Bruce pulled out Damian's bag.
"He's more then power you know. He had a chance to attack us while we're down but he didn't do it." Bruce said.
Later
Bruce pulled out a photo of him and Talia along with a baby Damian making him sigh. The Virus took more from him then the man that killed his parents ever did. Talia died 2 years ago and before that it was Alfred then Tim and most of the people in his company. (I hate myself for this but I had to do it)
"Bruce." Selana said walking in her husband's room.
"I know what your gonna say. I don't have a choice." Bruce said.
"I think your just doing what you always do. Do whatever it takes." Selena said making him scoff in amusement.
"Unfortunately I also have to take Bullock since after the Police was disbanded he worked in a place similar to the dam for a while. I have to keep a close eye on him." Bruce said. (I think most can see where this is going)
"You can't be serious. You know he thinks they caused the Virus." Selena said.
"Not really much choice. Can't afford to send all of our best over to the dam incase Joker or some of the others who won't change try to attack." Bruce said.
"Then I'm coming with. I have medical training now and some of you might need it." Selena said.
"So am I." Damian said walking in. "Safer with you then here." Damian said making him nod.
Superman walked into the meeting room as Cyborg was working on something.
"You going to the dam?" Superman asked.
"Not much choice. Incase some of the components are useless I'll need to repair it. Besides...I only got enough power left to stay online for another month. Best to spend every second I got doing something that could help." Cyborg said.
"Maybe they could help." Superman said.
"Maybe. If he's in a good mood which I doubt because of Bullock." Cyborg said.
Later
A small number of cars arrived outside the forest.
"If I'm not back in two hours head back to Metropolis." Batman said as he got out before heading in the Forest.
"He's out of his mind as usual." Bullock said.
"Shut up." Turpin said. (A lot of events are different so he didn't die by Darkseid since the first Chapter took place 10 years before the First Justice League episode which means it took place before the First Batman the Animated series Episode)
Bruce walked to where the Compund was at before a Wolf jumped down in front of him.
"Easy now." Bruce said before it turned out to be Turok.
"You again? Didn't my brother tell you people not to come back?" Turok said.
"Look, I'm not here to fight. I need to tell your brother why we came here. Thats all. He needs to understand something." Bruce said making him raise an eyebrow.
"Oh yeah? Ok follow me. Lucky he's in a good mood right now." Turok said leading him back home.
Arriving at the compound the gates opened up.
"Whoa what the hell?" Boom boom said seeing Bruce.
"Relax. He just needs to talk to my brother." Turok said.
"It's his funeral." Tabitha said.
Arriving at the center of the compound Sean was talking with Beast before they spotted Bruce with Turok.
"Didn't I tell you people not to come back?" Sean said as Sabertooth snarled at him.
"Look, I'm not here to cause trouble. I just need you to listen thats all." Bruce said making him raise an eyebrow.
"I'm listening." Sean said.
"The City is on its last legs. We're almost out of fuel which means no more power." Bruce said.
"And what does that have to do with us?" Beast asked.
"It doesn't. At least directly. Your close to something that could help us." Bruce said.
"Creed, were there any buildings are anything close by besides that Gas Station?" Sean asked.
"I don't think so. Whats out there?" Sabertooth asked.
"A dam. Thats what we came up here for." Bruce said.
"Show us." Sean said.
Bruce led them to where the Dam was before leading them inside.
"This dam could power the entire city until we can start making Energy cells to help us power things up again on our own. We've been using Gas for the last year when we brought everyone back to Metropolis. But we're two weeks away from running out." Bruce said.
"Thats why you came up here. I see." Sean said.
"If you could just let us do our work." Bruce tried to say.
"You brought others?" A white skined Mutant with Red eyes said glaring at him.
"Nathen back off!" Sean yelled getting him to do so. "How many did you bring?" Sean asked.
"Just a few who can help repair this place. Look, this is your home and no one wants to take it from you. Bullock is the only one who hates you since he can't accept the Truth." Bruce said making him frown before pulling Beast and Sabertooth away.
"Well?" Sean asked.
"Technically yes this place could help power Metropolis depending on the integrity of the Dam." Beast said.
"Oh come on this place is old! It probably won't even work." Sabertooth said.
"It will if we help them out. It would ease tensions between us and the Humans." Beast said.
"Hmm. Could you and Forge help out in the high tech areas here?" Sean asked.
"I believe so." Beast said.
"I don't trust these people. And that Bullock guy is clearly here. I can smell him." Sabertooth said.
"Would it help if I told them they can't bring any weapons?" Sean asked.
"It would make me less concerned." Sabertooth said.
Bullock and the others waited before Bruce walked back.
"So?" Selena asked.
"They'll let us work but theres a condition. No weapons period." Bruce said.
"Say what! I ain't handing over my guns to these freaks!" Bullock yelled.
"Now Bullock!" Bruce said glaring at him making him growl.
Later
Pyro was melting all the guns Bullock brought along with any other weapon they brought.
"Feel better?" Sean asked Sabertooth.
"Very. I still don't trust that Bullock guy." Sabertooth said eating some meat.
"We'll keep a close eye on him." Sean said before a Red Skinned Mutant walked to them. "Azazel, what is it?" Sean asked.
"I do not like the fact that we're working with the Humans after what they did to us." Azazel said.
"What would you have me do?" Sean asked.
"Attack them while their weak. Every last one of them for what they did to us!" Azazel said.
"I am not going to kill innocent people who had nothing to do with what happened to us! Those people are clearly dead. This Virus that Gordon told us wiped out most of the Human race and caused them to collapse. They suffered just the same as us. Lost everything. Just let them do their work. It'll ease tensions." Sean said.
"Let them work?" Azazel asked before showing various scars. "All of these...Every scar I got...HUMANS DID THAT!" Azazal yelled making Sean stand up Towering over him.
"I think you need to remember who's in charge. A wise leader does not seek war. Go." Sean said making him growl before teleporting away.
"First Nathaniel Essex now Azazel. The hell happened in the labs?" Turok asked.
"Ah. You were too young to understand kid." Sabertooth said. "The Lab your brothers were in was way better then the others." Sabertooth said.
Meanwhile
Bruce and the others set up camp.
"Bruce?" Selena said entering his tent as he read a book.
"I'll be out in just a second." Bruce said.
"That was very brave of what you did even for you. I know everyone is counting on us." Selena tried to say.
"This isn't about the colony. I'm doing this for Damian. He's lost more then I did when I was his age. His mother, Alfred, Tim. He didn't deserve that." Bruce said before she placed her hands on his shoulders.
"Well, now we have a chance to get everything we lost." Selena said.
Damian was working on his sketch book drawing the Mutants he saw before.
"You know the scary part about these guys are? Every single one of them have their own abilities. Juggernaut could probably take down Superman without even trying since he's not weakened by some glowing rock." Turpin said before Bruce and Selena came out.
"I'm thinking maybe one of us should keep watch tonight." Oliver said.
"With what? They took our weapons." Cyborg said.
"You're a weapon." Bullock said.
"Not anymore. I don't have enough power to use my cannons anymore." Cyborg said.
"They're not gonna try anything. Otherwise we'd be dead already." Bruce said.
"Their just taking their sweet time. They already killed off half the planet." Bullock said.
"How many times do we have to go over this. One of Luthors scientists got infected by accident in the labs that caused the Virus. They had nothing to do with it." Selena said.
"Then explain to me how it didn't start until after they escaped? Huh? Got any answer for that? Catwoman?" Bullock said glaring at her.
"It was already out before they escaped. It was just the timing nothing more." Bruce said.
"Besides they didn't exactly have a say in the matter in being test subjects." Selena said.
"Spare me the fucking bullshit! You're telling me you're not disgusted at the sight of them?" Bullock asked.
"No cause I know who's really to blame." Selena said.
"Didn't you have a daughter?" Bullock asked making her frown.
"Bullock, thats enough." Bruce said.
"How did she die?" Bullock continued.
"Thats enough!" Bruce said.
"Or your butler for that matter or your third Robin?" Bullock continued before Turpin grabbed him.
"Shut up or I'm gonna kick your ass!" Turpin said making him glare before getting up.
"Sure. I'm the asshole for just saying the Truth. You people disgust me." Bullock said. (You've always been an asshole with no life)
Meanwhile
Sean sat out on the balcony before Rogue walked out.
"You ok?" Rogue asked.
"Yeah. I just keep thinking. Could we have changed what happened to Humanity if we helped?" Sean asked.
"Too late to know now. Besides with People like Bullock I very much doubt it." Rogue said sitting on his lap as they looked at the stars. "Now I see why your out here every night." Rogue said making him laugh.
"Well, Not every night." Sean said making her smack his chest making him chuckle.
Next Morning
Damian slowly began to wake up before he saw Turok outside his tent.
"Hey Kid." Turok said.
"How long have you been here?" Damian asked.
"About ten minutes. Figured you guys were all dead tired." Turok said before Sean appeared behind him just as everyone woke up.
"Come on. Lets get this done." Sean said.
Soon they arrived at the Dam before Bruce and his team went inside.
Looking around Sean noticed something making him sigh.
"Wheres Azazel and Nat?" Sean asked.
"Still pissed off from last night. Can't blame them. Said they were going hunting." Sabertooth said.
"Since when does Essex hunt? He's a scientist." Turok said.
"Anger makes you act of character." Beast said.
Meanwhile
Both Azazel and Essex were heading to Metropolis before Azazel teleported them on the ground.
"Why are we here?" Azazel asked.
"Kruger may trust Humans because of Lena Luthor but I do not." Essex said before they spotted Red Hood and Deadshot with some weapons.
"I thought Bruce said to leave these alone." Red Hood said to Deadshot.
"Just being prepared. Juggernaut might not be a threat but I'm more concerned about those who don't follow him. Not every leader inspires complete loyalty." Deadshot said.
"Fair enough." Red hood said firing some of the weapons to make sure they worked properly after all these years.
Azazel teleported inside the building and widened his eyes seeing hundreds maybe thousands of weapons inside before telaporting back outside where Essex was waiting.
"Whats wrong?" Essex asked.
"Theres enough guns here to kill those who can't fight. Those humans are up to something up there!" Azazel said.
Meanwhile
Bruce, Bullock and Oliver were in the Dam to make sure if it would work properly before finding it was blocked with trees and branches from all the years unattended.
"We gotta clear this blockage." Oliver said.
Meanwhile above them was Damian and Selena before he looked at her.
"You never said you had a daughter." Damian said making her sigh.
"Bullock has a big mouth. Yeah I had one and no Bruce was not the Father. I met someone years ago who also died by the Virus. She died when you were still four years old. I took it pretty hard. Unlike Bullock I know the Mutants aren't to blame since I understand science better then him." Selena said.
Bruce laid up some explosives before heading back to the entrance but they ran out of wire.
"Stop. This is all the wire we have. Better brace." Bruce said activating the explosives before they blew.
"WHOA!" Sabertooth yelled feeling the blast.
"The hell are they doing down there?" Turok asked.
"Probably clearing the debris." Cyborg said.
Bruce and the others felt the place shake before the ceiling started coming down.
"OH SHIT!" Oliver yelled.
"Bruce!" Selena yelled as she and Damian rushed down to help.
Bullock cried out in pain as his leg was pinned.
"Nice going bat freak!" Bullock yelled before a hand phased through the wall. "What the?" Bullock yelled before someone pulled him out.
"Kitty get the others." Beast said.
"I'm on it." Shadowcat said.
Later
Bullock cried out in pain as he was being treated.
"I don't think it's busted." Selena said.
"Thanks for the help." Bruce said to Sean.
"No problem. We're gonna have to clear the rest of the Debris by hand now." Sean said.
As Selena was treating Bullock a three year old appeared next to her.
"Hello." Selena said before his skin started changing from White to yellow.
"Whoa. Nice trick this kid has." Oliver said impressed.
"Yeah. We call him Chameleon. He can change his skin into any color to blend in. Makes him almost impossible to find when he's playing Hide and seek." Sean said laughing.
Bullock frowned as this kid was messing around.
"You done?" Bullock asked impatient.
"You know you could stand not to be a jerk for at least one day." Selena said fed up.
"I'm the Jerk?" Bullock asked before Chameleon opened up his tool box before a handgun was seen. "HEY!" Bullock yelled kicking him away.
"What the hell!" Selena yelled before he pulled a shut gun out of his jacket.
"I'VE HAD IT WITH WORKING WITH THESE FREAKS!" Bullock yelled before Sabertooth jumped on him throwing him into fallen trees making him drop his gun before Sean stepped on it.
"You broke the condition. I said no weapons. Period." Sean said as Sabertooth held him by the neck.
"You freaks ruined the world with your virus! I'll kill you all!" Bullock yelled before Creed tightened his grip.
"Not if we kill you first." Sabertooth said about to snap his neck.
"Don't." Bruce said stopping them. "He's not worth it."
"No...He's not." Sean said as Creed dropped him making him gasp for air.
"We'll handle this." Bruce said.
"The only thing you'll be doing is heading home. I gave you a chance and you blew it. You should have checked him. You have an hour to leave." Sean said grabbing Chameleon before they walked away.
"Nice going Bullock!" Turpin yelled.
Sean arrived back at the compound before Rogue rushed to him.
"Hon!" Rogue yelled.
"Rogue what's wrong?" Sean asked concerned.
"It's Mystique." Rogue said making him rush to the medical building.
"YOU IDIOT! We had one chance! ONE!" Selena yelled at Bullock.
"Why are you yelling at me? I'm not the one who..." Bullock tried to say before Turpin knocked him out.
"Shut up!" Turpin yelled before Bruce rushed off.
"Where you going?" Selena asked.
"To see him. I gotta convince him to give another chance." Bruce said running off before she followed.
Sean arrived in a room before seeing Mystique on a table barely breathing.
"Whats wrong with her? I thought you said you had this?" Sean said to Forge.
"My expertise is in Technology not Biology. I don't know what's wrong." Forge said before Bruce and Selena rushed in.
"I told you to leave." Sean said.
"Whats wrong with her?" Bruce asked.
"She's been like this for a week. We don't know." Forge said.
"I do." Selena said getting Sean to look at her. "She needs Antibiotics." Selena said.
"We're immune from all Diseases." Sean said.
"Maybe not all of you. Most of you perhaps. Does her family have any genetic diseases?" Bruce asked.
"When she was Human yes. You think it's trying to fight against the Mutation?" Sean asked.
"Maybe. I think I can help. Just give us a chance." Selena said making him frown before looking at Mystique before sighing.
"Ok." Sean said before she walked to Mystique before injecting her with the cure.
Later
Sean waited outside before Selena walked out.
"She's gonna be ok. She does have a Genetic Disease but her Mutation was fighting against it. I don't think it will come back now. My guess is some of you are not entirely Immune to disease when its Genetic." Selena said.
"I see. I owe you for saving her." Sean said.
"She wouldn't have died anyway. She would just be in pain for a couple weeks. But now that's cleared." Selena said.
"Why did you come back?" Sean asked.
"To ask for a second chance. I get it we screwed up but Bullock was the only one who has issues since he can't accept hard science." Selena said making him frown.
"I'll give you one more chance. On One condition." Sean said.
Later
"THIS IS BULLSHIT!" Bullock yelled as Green Lantern arrived to take Bullock back to Metropolis.
"Lets go Bullock." Lantern said.
"YOU MUTANT LOVING SONS OF BITCHES! I'LL KILL YOU!" Bullock yelled as he was taken away.
"He'll be punished when he gets back." Bruce said.
"Good. Now...Let's finish that dam." Sean said.
Later
Azazel and Essex arrived back at the compound before find Turok who was getting Supplies.
"Turok. We just came back from Metropolis. The Humans are more dangerous than we thought. Wheres your brother?" Azazel asked.
"At the Dam. I was just getting supplies." Turok said as Chameleon's mother carried him away before they saw the bruise on his face.
"What happened to him?" Essex asked.
"Bullock." Turok said making them frown.
At the Dam Bruce and the others along with the Mutants were moving Debris out of the way.
"Damian, this Relay's busted. Ask Forge for another." Cyborg said.
"Sure." Damian said walking to him.
Azazel and Essex looked down and frowned before the former teleported to Toad.
"Wheres Kruger?" Azazel asked.
"In the back." Toad said before he walked there before Damian came in his path before pushing him down.
"Hey!" Damian yelled making him growl at him.
"WHOA!" Oliver yelled getting in front of him making him snarl before a pair of metal claws came out of a girl with Tan skin green eyes and brown hair snarling at him.
"Don't even think about it Azazel." Laura said.
"Wheres Kruger? KRUGER!" Azazel yelled putting everyone on edge.
"What are you yelling about?" Sean asked coming out the back.
"Humans attacked Chameleon and you let them stay?" Azazel asked.
"A Human attacked. Bullock. He's on his way back to Metropolis where he will be punished. I was gonna make them leave but Selena helped Mystique with her illness since apparently Genetic Diseases still effect us to some degree depending on what it is. I let them stay for helping her." Sean said.
"You put everyone here in danger! I found enough guns in Metropolis that could kill the Mutants who can't fight!" Azazel yelled.
"You said you were going hunting! You lied to us!" Sabertooth yelled.
"Your damn right I did. We can't trust them! Theres enough guns there to kill those who can't fight! Gordon will give that order!" Azazel yelled.
"I know Gordon. He's not gonna order whats left of Humanity in the country to attack us when there are so few left! They clearly can't afford any more causalities." Sean said.
"You love Humans...MORE Than Mutants! More then your people!" Azazel yelled making him glare before grabbing him and lifted him up strangling him making him gasp in shock as the life was being squeezed out of him.
"I think you need to remember who's in charge here for a reason." Sean said squeezing harder before his bones in his arm snapped making him cry out in pain before Sean dropped him. "Let that be a lesson to you. I'm in charge for a reason because I know there are good humans more then bad." Sean said as Essex grabbed him and pulled him up. "Get him out of my sight." Sean said getting him to do so.
"Harsh." Turok said.
"He can't let go of the past." Sean said.
"The hell happened in the labs?" Turok asked.
"We'll tell you one day. But for now let's finish this." Sean said.
Next morning
Damian was up ready to finish the dam when Turok arrived.
"Hey buddy. Sorry about yesterday." Turok said.
"Why does he hate humans so much?" Damian asked.
"I honestly don't know. I was three years old when we escaped the labs. I don't remember much at all but whatever they went through was enough to give him and Essex a permanently bad impression on humans." Turok said.
"And you?" Damian asked.
"Like I said. I was too young to remember much. But I always think that you should give people a chance to know who they really are and not let others tell you what to think." Turok said making him smile. "By the way I saw some of those sketches when you left it behind. Who's the woman?" Turok asked.
"Thats...My mother. She died a couple years ago. The Virus took a lot from us." Damian said.
"Ah Sorry to hear that. But think of it this way. At least you know you have loving parents." Turok said.
Selena slowly woke up before seeing them talking making her smile.
"Bruce wake up." Selena said getting him to do so before seeing the two making him smile.
"Theres more hope we can coexist after all." Bruce said before Sean arrived.
"Lets get this done." Sean said.
Later at night
Bruce was turning a valve to send water running before the whole place shook for a minute before the machines turned on.
"BRUCE!" Selena yelled.
"What happened?" Bruce asked heading up.
Outside the gas station that was close by had its lights on after so many years.
"Wow." Oliver said before Cyborg rushed inside.
"The hell is he doing?" Sabertooth asked before some Soft Country music started playing.
"HAHA! IT WORKS BABY!" Cyborg yelled dancing making Sean chuckle.
"I like this song." Sean said before walking to Bruce.
"It worked. At least here it did. We'll know when we get back to Metropolis." Bruce said making Sean look at where the Compound was before smirking.
"Lets find out quicker." Sean said leading them back to his home.
Arriving at the Compound Sean saw everyone looking out in the distance.
"Check it out!" Blob said seeing Metropolis lighting up.
"Looks like it worked after all." Sean said before seeing Mystique up top before he rushed up seeing her with Rogue. "Feeling better?" Sean asked making her smile.
"Like you wouldn't believe. I guess having humans for allies isn't a bad idea." Mystique said making him smirk before looking out the balcony with a smile seeing the City he came from.
However he heard some branches breaking making him look down and saw Azazel glaring at him.
'What is that idiot up to?' Sean thought before he had a gun making him widen his eyes as he fired at him but the bullets bounced off shocking everyone at what happened. Azazel widened his eyes in shock seeing his attempt to take control failed before Sean growled.
"AZAZEL!" Sean roared before jumping down as he ran off before Sean followed him.
"What happened?" Bruce asked.
"Azazel went off the deep end trying to kill him!" Rogue said.
Azazel ran as far as he could as Sean ran after him smashing everything in his path.
"I TRUSTED YOU! I'm gonna kill you then I'll kill Essex!" Sean yelled before catching up to him and grabbed him. "Your a dead man." Sean said about to crush him when an energy blast hit him making him let go before seeing Essex.
"Your rule makes us weak. Mutants should be ruling the world and whats left of the Human race." Essex said.
"Essex." Sean tried to say.
"Call me...Mister Sinister." Sinister said making him roll his eyes.
"Whatever. I am not gonna let you destroy humanity just because you have a grudge. Those scientists from the labs are dead! They got what they deserved." Sean said.
"And so will the rest of humanity in time. Goodbye Kruger." Sinister said as they vanished making him growl.
Later
"I always knew those two were trouble." Wanda said.
"Hmm." Sean said before approaching Bruce.
"We're gonna head back to Metropolis and warn them." Bruce said.
"Before you go however I have something to further ease the tensions." Sean said.
Later
Gordon smiled seeing everyone cheering for having the power restored.
"Jim you gotta let me out of here!" Bullock yelled in a cell.
"I can't do that Bullock. You almost caused a war between us and the Mutants. We're trying not to lose any more than we already have. Can't afford any more casualties." Bullock said making him roar in rage.
"I trusted you for years! Did everything you ever asked! And this is the thanks I get you Mutant Loving bastard!" Bullock yelled making him sigh before leaving.
Bruce and the others arrived back at the colony making everyone cheer before they spotted Juggernaut along with several Mutants carrying crates.
"Whats all this?" Lantern asked.
"Food and Medical supplies. To prove we want peace and hope things get better between both of us." Sean said opening a crate of food making several rush forward.
"Bless you young man." An Elderly woman said making him smile.
"By the way Gordon. I gotta ask something." Sean said.
"And that is?" Gordon asked.
"Lena Luthor." Sean said making everyone pause. "Is she here?" Sean asked before seeing everyone was silent. "What is it?" Sean asked.
"I uh...I hate to tell you this son but...Lena passed away about four years ago. The Virus took her." Gordon said making him frown.
"Oh...I see." Sean said before walking away.
"He gonna be all right?" Cyborg asked Sabertooth making him sigh.
"I honestly don't know. I didn't know her like he did." Sabertooth said.
Sean walked to a building Lex once owned. It's a place he thought he'd never come back to after 10 years.
He walked into the labs where he was made into a Mutant. The place had seen better days which wasn't surprising since no one had been in here since that day when they escaped.
Sighing he looked around before he spotted a recorder before grabbing it and hit play before it showed him when he was 8 years old along with Lena. She was showing him how to use sign language.
"Home." Lena said showing the signs before Sean did the same thing. "Good." Lena said giving him a treat.
Sean smiled at this before putting it down before glass shattered making him look seeing Diana.
"Sorry. I didn't want to intrude." Diana said walking in. "Was that you?" Diana asked.
"Yeah. You know why I have you all a chance up there? Lena was living proof that not all humans are bad. In my view there are more good than bad. It's why I didn't attack and why I let Bruce and the others work on the dam. And I see Damian and my little brother have become good friends. Proving theres a good chance for peace between us. Lena once told me a wise leader does not seek war. He seeks peace." Sean said making her smile.
"I think she would be proud at what you've done today." Diana said.
