Chapter 6 Trespass
It's been a month since the enemies Sean had joined Dooku's forces making things difficult for the Republic and his army in the clone wars.
Both sides were now officially caught in a deadlock which worried the entire senate.
Speaking of the senate Sean had paid a visit to them and found those who did not inform him on the situation on Rodia.
It was revealed they did so to make him look bad to have him give up the Infinity stones for accused selfish needs.
Not only did it backfire but those who were involved were killed by him singlehandedly to make a point not to cross him and his mission to save the innocent.
It sent a wave of fear throughout the senate seeing he wasn't someone you wanted as an enemy.
Right now however he was at his main base on Earth with his greatest generals going over some of his enemies.
"These new players have made things very difficult." Shaak Ti said.
"Not unexpected. These enemies of mine have always caused trouble both during my reign and my mother's. Some for selfish reasons...Others because of more personal ones." Sean said.
Which ones would you say are the most dangerous?" Tarkin asked.
"Hmm. That mostly depends on your point of view. The more concerning ones I would have to say are those Like Magneto. He's a mutant who can control magnetism." Sean said.
"So anything metal is at his command." Thrawn said.
"Yes. But our ships are made with a special kind of metal designed to resist his abilities. We're gonna have to recall Republic Cruisers to have it put in to prevent him from destroying a majority of the fleet." Sean said.
"I've already gotten that order in." Reznov said.
"Good. Next would be Ultron. He's a special kind of machine who believes all Biological life is flawed and needs to be eradicated or perfected. But beauty is not because something is perfect. Our flaws are what makes all of us unique in many ways." Sean said.
"I agree." Tarkin said.
"So why would Ultron work for Dooku?" Luminara asked.
"Most likely using him for his own means. This could either be good for us or bad depending how things play out." Sean said.
"We'll have to observe for now." Thrawn said.
"Next would be Juggernaut." Sean said.
"I think the name clearly says it all." Mace said.
"He's a Mutant who like his name is invincible. Mostly. Physical attacks are nearly useless. On his mind however though...Anyone with a powerful mind to enter his and mess with his head can defeat him. Like his Brother...Charles Xavier. Leader of the Mutant faction known as the X men. Mutants who fight for us." Sean said.
"We're gonna have to be very careful on how we deploy our fleets from now on." Tarkin stated.
"Hmm." Sean said as he left.
Arriving at Padme's office he saw her talking with a woman who had blue skin light purple hair and golden eyes.
'Hmm. I think she's a Pantoran if I recall correctly.' Sean thought as he made himself known.
"Oh hey Sean. This is Riyo Chuchi. She's the Senator for Pantora." Padme said.
"Oh I recall you. Supposedly you're the youngest ever elected. I'm impressed." Sean said making her blush. "Let me assume she's visiting because you are no longer in the Senate?" Sean asked.
"Mostly. Pantora is thinking of asking for an alliance with Earth to increase relations between them and the Republic." Padme said.
"I see." Sean said.
"I must be going. The Chairman is expecting me." Chuchi said leaving with a small blush.
"Hmm." Sean said.
"Whats wrong?" Padme asked.
"Hmm? Oh its my old enemies. They'll make things difficult for all of us." Sean said.
"There can't be that many can there?" Padme asked.
"It's not about numbers. It's about skill and powers that make them dangerous. Granted there are large numbers of certain groups but it's always skill, Tactics and power that make one dangerous. I should know. I managed to send the Republic into a Panic when I first revealed myself when...You know." Sean said.
"True enough. Still I'm sure things will work out. Find more of the stones and you tip the scales in your favor." Padme said.
"Mmm. Yes thats true. But it's a matter of finding them thats difficult since its been countless years since anyone has seen even one stone till now. Finding the other four is gonna be even more difficult." Sean said.
"What if they're in other galaxies?" Padme asked.
"Their here. Thanos knew one day someone would try to find the stones again. Only he knew his blood could use all six. No one else." Sean said.
"Why not?" Padme asked.
"Because he already used all six once before and survived. That trait was passed down to his blood. And since I'm his blood..." Sean tried to say.
"Only you and David can use them. More of you though since you studied them thoroughly." Padme said.
"Exactly. He scattered them all over the galaxy after he used them. Tempted to just destroy them sure to prevent anyone from undoing his work the last time but knew past events might happen again. So he didn't destroy them. My plans however don't have the same method as him. Back then he didn't have a choice but to do it randomly since it was that bad. I on the other hand have more options and plan to solve more than just one problem." Sean said.
Later
A situation had occurred in the Pantora system with a clone outpost failing to check in.
Not wanting to take chances Sean had ordered a small platoon to investigate the situation.
Several Gunships had arrived and landed at the outpost.
"And this is the planet's tropical zone." Kenobi said in warm clothing as was Aayla.
"Hmph. I hate cold planets." Sean said making Aayla giggle.
"But they have beauty in them in unique ways." Aayla said.
"True. All right enough screwing around. Ward, you and Rex get inside and investigate." Sean said.
"Roger that. All right lets get moving." Ward said getting the men to move out.
"Hmm." Sean said looking around but saw nothing.
"What is it?" Aayla asked.
"Nothing...Nothing at all." Sean said.
"Supreme Commander Kruger."
Sean turned and saw Chairman Cho and Senator Chuchi walking to him along with two Pantoran guards.
"Chairman Cho. I ask you wait until we've secured the Area." Sean said.
"I respect your judgment, Commander, but I will go where I choose. This is sovereign Pantora Territory." Cho said.
"Why? Theres nothing valuable here." Garret said.
"Valuable or not I'm the one who asked the Senate to protect this planet. This Wasteland belongs to us." Cho said.
"With all due respect this is for the Senate to decide not us." Aayla said.
"I assume thats why he brought Senator Chuchi here." Sean said.
"Correct. The Jedi Report to the Senate which is Senator Chuchi." Cho said as she stepped up.
"Technically speaking Master Jedi the Chairman is correct." Chuchi said.
"Makes no difference to me. Let's find out what happened and get off this rock." Sean said as they went to the entrance.
Walking inside however they found a rather surprising sight.
Clone helmets on large spears before A mandolorian took one off but found no head.
"The hell?" Ward asked.
"Must be Separatists." Cho said.
"Never assume anything. Something is not right. This isn't their style." Sean said.
"What about your enemies?" Cho asked.
"Hmm. Maybe. But something is amiss." Sean said as they walked to the command room seeing several Dead clones on the ground with some missing helmets.
"Do you think the Separatists are building forward base to attack Pantora?" Cho asked.
"I don't think we're dealing with Separatists. The computers haven't been touched...And more importantly look around." Sean said.
"What?" Cho asked not seeing his point.
"There are no blast marks. No dead battle droids. The computers as I said have not been touched. Thats not like them. If they did attack they would have wanted information and yet the computers have not been accessed." Sean said.
"Meaning we could be dealing with something or someone else who's against us." Garret said.
"Or perhaps there is something we're not aware of. I need all facts before I can guarantee..." Sean tried before suddenly his eyes glowed before groaning holding his head.
"What just happened?" Cho asked in alarm.
"He received a vision." Aayla said holding him as he sighed.
"I'm ok. There is a Separatist base close by...But something is not right. Aayla...You and Kenobi along with some of the men will investigate." Sean said.
"Of course. Take it easy." Aayla said.
"Not my style." Sean said making her grin as they left.
Later
Aayla and Kenobi along with their troops arrived at the Separatist base.
"Looks like the commander was right." Bly said.
"Yes...But something isn't right." Aayla said as they went inside.
Walking inside they saw droids aiming at them or at least the headless bodies were there.
"Strange." Aayla said as they went in further seeing the same scene from their base with the heads on spears.
"Whoever attacked our boys also took out the droids." Cody said.
"Yup. Question is what." Ward said.
"I think I've found something." Kenobi said trying to get a machine working. "Blast." Kenobi said before Venom hit it.
"Taking too long." Venom said as a recording started up.
"685 to command. There are too many of them! They've overrun the base! We need reinforcements...AHHH!" The droid in the recording yelled before something dashed at it.
"The hell was that?" Punisher asked.
"Whatever it was it's clearly a good warrior." Kenobi said.
"We're thinking whatever these things are clearly the droids attacked them and they thought the clones were aligned with them." Venom said.
"We?" Bly asked before Venom morphed before someone else appeared.
"Names Eddie Brock." Eddie said as Venom took over. (Both from Venom)
"We'll explain that one later." Garret said.
"According to the computer the droids were investigating the Southern cannon." Rex said.
"Aayla and I will investigate that." Kenobi said as they left.
Meanwhile
Sean overlooked the base as the men moved the dead clones.
"I want weapon systems back online and shields operational. Theres no telling what the Separatists have planned." Cho said.
"Chairman? What makes you think the Separatists are behind this?" Chuchi asked.
"Look around senator. Isn't this carnage proof enough." Cho said.
"But Kruger...The Commander already stated they weren't behind this. Like he said There are no dead droids. No blast marks or wounds from blasters on the clones. And if it was one of his enemies he would recognize the tactics." Chuchi said.
"Perhaps." Cho said.
"Chuchi is correct. I don't think the Separatists are behind this. We need to know the full story before making accusations if this was intentional...Or perhaps a misunderstanding." Sean said.
"Misunderstanding?" Cho asked.
"It wouldn't be the first time in history on any planet that something like this happened because of a misunderstanding." Sean said.
"Meaning there could be a peaceful solution." Chuchi said making Cho scoff as he went to the Elevator.
"Senator, I am willing to fight and die for my people. It's time to ask yourself if you are brave enough to do the same." Cho said as the door closed making her look down.
"Don't listen to him. Ideals are peaceful. History is violent. But our ideals can be made into reality if you have the determination and conviction to follow them through." Sean said placing his hand on her shoulder making her smile.
Later
Aayla and Kenobi arrived in the hanger just as Sean arrived.
"Well?" Sean asked.
"Well...We found out what happened." Aayla said as Cho and Chuchi arrived.
"What did you find?" Cho asked.
"It seems we stumbled onto an inhabited planet." Kenobi said.
"Impossible. Our explorers have spent much time here during the long history of Pantora. No one lives here. Their trespassers." Cho accused.
"They only want to be left alone. The droids attacked them and they mistook our clones as their allies." Aayla said.
"Whoever they are they belong to us. This whole system belongs to us." Cho said arrogantly.
"Excuse me?" Sean asked glaring at him as his men tensed up.
"Savages have no rights." Cho said.
"They are not savages. They only attacked out of a misunderstanding." Kenobi said.
"They are savages and they must be put down. Commander prepare your troops for battle." Cho said.
"Fuck you." Sean said shocking him. "I don't take orders from you or anyone. I lead the joint forces because of a shared interest. And that does not involve killing civilians because of an arrogant Chairman who would shoot first and ask questions later. No...We're settling this peaceful. Or you can explain this to both my generals, your people and the Senate. They'll side with me." Sean said making him glare.
"Who do you think you are?" Cho asked as Sean removed his helmet and glared at him with cold eyes making him tremble.
"Need I remind you I'm the only one in the universe who can use all six stones. The blood of Thanos. Heir of Mandalore. Leader of the Joint armies. Who are you to tell me what to do?" Sean asked grabbing his blade.
"Thats enough." Chuchi said grabbing his hand.
"As you wish." Sean said. "We are negotiating this peacefully. Or you can explain to the senate why you chose to attack civilians." Sean said making Cho glare.
Later
Arriving at the meeting point everyone went inside to see the leader of the Talz who had his own escort.
Sean then pulled out a small floating droid before it scanned both of them.
"Whats that?" Chuchi asked.
"Translator droid. Much more effective than a protocol droid since these hold all languages and transfer new ones to the language library." Sean said.
"Impressive." Kenobi said as the leader began speaking.
"Thi-Sen leader of the Talz welcomes you to his home and wishes to be good neighbors but he does not wish for you to remain on his planet out of fear the droids may attack his people again." The droid said.
"I see. We'd be more than happy to..." Sean tried to say.
"NO! Absolutely not. I am the Chairman of Pantora and you and the rest of you Savages will not command me to go anywhere or do anything else!" Cho yelled before Sean aimed his blade at him much to his shock.
"You are getting on my nerves. Not an easy thing since my mother taught me patience unlike your's. I will not have you kill innocent civilians just because you judge them for pathetic reasons." Sean said.
"You wouldn't dare kill me. The Republic would end the alliance with you and destroy you!" Cho yelled.
"Unlikely. And even if they did I have them outmatched and outskilled. But your right...I won't kill you. Your not worth my time." Sean said lowering his weapon making him sigh in relief. "But you are under arrest." Sean said as Frank cuffed him.
"What are you doing! Unhand me you worthless little!" Cho yelled as he was dragged off.
"Now. Let's get off this planet." Sean said.
Later
Cho was stripped of his title and sentenced to Earth's prison for life for attempting to start a war and kill civilians for his own selfish purposes.
He tried to defend himself as best he could but to no avail.
Right now Sean was out of his armor getting examined by medics before Chuchi walked in.
"Hello, Senator." Sean said kindly making her smile.
"You can just call me Chuchi." Chuchi said.
"Very well. Something you needed?" Sean asked.
"I wanted to thank you for the encouragement you gave me earlier. It's nice to know someone in your position doesn't choose to fight first and talk later." Chuchi said making him smile.
"My mother taught me a lot of things growing up. Being patient and understanding was one of them. People like Cho cause more problems than he's worth. A wise leader does not seek war but must always be ready for it." Sean said.
"True. And seeing this I know what kind of leader you are." Chuchi said making him smile.
Padme was outside listening to this and smirked.
'Hmm. If I had to guess Chuchi has a thing for him. I'll have to help with that.' Padme thought before leaving.
Authors note: Yeah not as exciting as the other chapters but one thats needed for obvious reasons. Next one however though...Jedi Crash which will have some interesting developments. My main focus is still on the Avatar's Guardian which is still getting more and more popular. I will try to update other stories on a regular basis. Read, Review, Fav and Follow.
