Chapter 7 Jedi Crash
It's been a couple weeks since the Incident with the Talz with Chairman Cho trying to slaughter them for his cruel and vial reasons.
Now he was sentenced to life in prison on Earth for his crimes while a new and more humane Chairman took his place and made deals with Earth that increased their relations and security.
Right now Sean was once more getting scanned by his doctors.
Aayla was outside watching.
"Something on your mind?" Tarkin asked walking to her.
"No just here to keep an eye on him. It's clear he's afraid of that disease infecting him like it did his mother." Aayla said.
"For good reason. No one wants to go through that. I ran the disease through any past cases and all of them ended horribly and painfully in ways that makes what the Sith did in the days of the old Republic look like Childs play." Tarkin said concerning her.
"You would think with that ability of his to see the future he would know if he would ever get it." Aayla said making him raise an eyebrow.
"Did he not tell you?" Tarkin asked confusing her.
"Tell me what?" Aayla asked.
"He can see into others futures but he can't see his own." Tarkin said.
"At all?" Aayla asked.
"No. Then again thats probably for the best. Knowing the futures of others is one thing. Knowing your own can make you make mistakes." Tarkin said.
"Perhaps." Aayla said.
"Anyway you have a new assignment regarding Separatist movements." Tarkin said handing her a Data Pad.
"Is the intel accurate?" Aayla asked.
"I double checked it. Ultron's forces are in this sector. We need to know what he's up to. As one of the Top 10 most dangerous generals the Separatists have we need to know what he's doing there." Tarkin said.
"I'll head out soon." Aayla said as Tarkin left before Sean's exam was finished as she walked in.
"Hello Aayla." Sean said.
"You give us a minute." Aayla said as the doctors left.
"I take it this is about what Tarkin told you?" Sean asked already knowing this.
"Why didn't you say anything?" Aayla asked sitting next to him.
"I didn't wish to worry you. Being able to see your own future can either be a blessing or a curse depending on the events and point of view. Thankfully I can't see my future and thats a good thing." Sean said.
"Cause you can't see if you'll be infected with the same disease?" Aayla asked.
"That and knowing your future can sometimes alter it for the worse depending on circumstances." Sean said.
"When you put it that way." Aayla said before he touched her cheek.
"I'll be fine. Thats why I go through these exams every month to see if I show signs of it." Sean said making her smile as she held him close.
Later
Sean was on his flagship looking over all battle reports from his throne.
"Hmm. My old enemies have made things very difficult for us." Sean said.
"I'm afraid they'll only get worse. Until we find another one of the stones we'll remain in a deadlock. If we could find the reality stone combined with the Space and Power stone anything could be possible." Tarkin said.
"Such as?" Sean asked.
"Have you heard of the Star Forge?" Tarkin asked.
"The factory Darth Raven used during the days of the old Republic when he became a Sith. I'm aware. You believe if I have the other stones I can use them to remake the forge to increase ship productions and also increase supplies we need for projects." Sean said.
"Indeed. Which is why locating that particular stone I've placed as the highest priority." Tarkin said.
"I agree. However even though that could indeed tip the scales in our favor we must not forget about the other stones. One stone alone is enough to conquer an entire planet no matter what it is." Sean said.
"I never said the others were useless but that one combined with the current two we have would tip it more in our favor. And with current events we need it that way." Tarkin said.
"I agree." Thrawn said before an alert came up.
"What is it?" Sean asked before Aayla's fleet was seen getting destroyed by Ultron's army. "Ultron." Sean said narrowing his eyes.
"I had hoped General Secura's forces were more than enough to handle him. Sadly thats not the case." Tarkin said.
"Move my ship to engage. Ultron will leave no survivors." Sean said.
"Right away." Ward said giving the order before they entered hyperspace.
Meanwhile
Aayla's fleet was getting decimated by Ultron's forces.
"Sean where are you?" Aayla asked.
Above the planet Sanctuary arrived.
"Prepare the gunships. Ahsoka, Garret, Rex and Coulson I want you all with me." Sean said.
"Roger that." Garret said.
Up on the Separatist flagship Ultron viewed everything.
"Kruger." Ultron said narrowing his optics.
"Uh sir? Should we call in for reinforcements?" A droid asked only to yell when Ultron grabbed him by the head and crushed him.
"Illogical. Resume bombardment." Ultron said.
Sean and the others were on a gunship heading for Aayla's ship.
"Taking heavy fire." Garret said before Sean held out his hand before clinching his fist making a wave of power that destroyed the droids flying at them.
"Ward has a small cruiser docking below." Coulson said.
"Perfect." Sean said before they landed near a hole before he jumped down and slashed through several droids.
Aayla and Commander Bly were facing off against a large number of droids when one was thrown near them making her look seeing Sean making her smile.
"Just in time." Aayla said.
"For you. Anything." Sean said making her smile more before he used the power stone to destroy the droids in front of them.
"How do you plan to get us out of here?" Aayla asked.
"Ward is docking in the lower hanger." Sean said as they rushed off.
Ward and a clone pilot just docked like they planned.
Ultron seeing all this narrowed his optics again.
"Increase bombardment power by 70%." Ultron said.
"But sir! There are hundreds of droids on board." A droid protested.
"Irrelevant. Do as I command." Ultron said.
Arriving at the lower hanger Sean however stopped as he turned around seeing a massive explosion coming at them.
Using the Space stone he pushed them forward as the door closed.
"Sean wait!" Aayla yelled as he used both stones to contain the blast.
Only for another explosion to hit him forcing him to fly into the wall out cold.
"Don't move the ship!" Ahsoka yelled on the comms.
"What happened down there?" Ward asked.
Ahsoka used her blades to cut through the door before finding him out cold before she and Aayla pulled him in as the next door closed.
"I'm gonna turn on the deflector shield." Garret said rushing off.
Ward and the clone detached the ship before they headed back to Sanctuary.
"You won't be able to board with Sanctuary in the middle of this battle I'm afraid." Tarkin said.
"We have no choice Admiral. Kruger's condition may be critical. We must get him on board Sanctuary." Aayla said.
"Are all Jedi this reckless?" Tarkin asked making her smirk.
"Just the good ones." Aayla said.
Getting closer to the flagship they were almost at the hanger when the clone pilot was shot in the head and the hyperdrive was activated.
"The hyper drive is activated." Bly said.
"I can see that." Ward said trying to turn it off.
"Shut it down!" Aayla said.
"Damn thing won't respond!" Ward yelled.
"Whats going on?" Tarkin asked.
"We're going into hyperspace." Aayla said.
"Evasive maneuvers!" Tarkin ordered as the ship moved allowing them to pass through an opening. "Track them down. We need to finish this battle and find them."
Later
Sean was in the medical wing getting treated by the droid there with Ahsoka with her helmet watching over him before Aayla walked in.
"How is he?" Aayla asked.
"He seems fine but he's not waking up." Ahsoka said.
"That explosion did more damage than it looked. But as long as he has the stones he should be fine." Aayla said before Garret walked in.
"We have a problem. Our Navicomputer screwed up and has us heading right for a star. Only way to stop that is to shut everything down and power back up." Garret said.
"I see. Do it." Aayla said.
Ward and Coulson were getting ready to shut everything down.
"Ok on my mark...NOW" Garret yelled as they shut everything down before they were right in front of the start before they turned the power back on allowing them to move past the star to a planet.
"We're gonna crash!" Ward yelled.
"Hold him down!" Aayla yelled as they held Sean down as they crashed down hard.
"Lets go!" Ahsoka yelled as they grabbed him and rushed out just as the ship exploded.
"Sean seems to be fine." Aayla said.
Later
After setting up Camp Ahsoka stood over Sean's sleeping form.
"Sean will be fine but we need to find some help here incase things get worse for him." Aayla said.
"I'll stay and keep an eye on him." Rex said.
"So will I." Ahsoka said.
"No, Ahsoka. In order to get help quickly, we must work together." Aayla said.
"I can't leave him. Master, I know if I was hurt he would never leave me." Ahsoka said.
"I know this is difficult, Ahsoka. But Sean has to stay behind, and we have to go now." Aayla said.
"I think I found something." Coulson said picking up some piece of wood with some image on it. "I think theres a good chance this planet is inhabited by intelligent beings." Coulson said.
"Good work. Let's move out." Aayla said.
Later
"I sense you are still worried for your master." Aayla said.
"Part of the reason I'm still not a Jedi anymore is because I realized that no attachment rule made is weaker not stronger. We're not supposed to form attachments and yet we're meant to be compassionate. Even though the code changed I still see a lot holding onto that rule." Ahsoka said.
"Very true. And it is nothing to be ashamed of being attached to your master. I once had to go through the very same thing with both of mine." Aayla said.
"Both?" Ahsoka asked.
"I was taught by my first Master Voss and then his old master since he felt very attached to me and felt it was best to place me under his old one. Sean was right. We do hold attachments within our order but just didn't want to admit it. Thats why he's helped changed the order to what it is now. One that truly gets results for the people both now and more so in the Future." Aayla said.
"What about you two specifically? I've seen how close you've both gotten." Ahsoka said making her smile.
"Sean is...A very interesting person in general. He understands balance like no other. Something he's inherited from his Ancestor Thanos who though had his own view of it would no doubt agree with Sean's view. Light and Darkness need to be perfectly balanced out in every way possible. Thats why he has soldiers who will go to limited lengths to achieve victory and others who will do whatever it takes even if its dark tactics. The more I was around him the More I began to respect him for his understandings." Aayla said.
"And romantically?" Ahsoka teased making her blush lightly.
"Well...Difficult not to." Aayla said making them both laugh.
Later
Soon Aayla's squad arrived outside a village.
"Looks like we'll get some help after all." Ahsoka said making Aayla nod before they walked into the village.
"Hello?" Ahsoka asked before the village leader walked to them.
"What have you come here for?"
"We are peace keepers. We are Jedi from the Galactic Republic. Our Ship crashed a few miles away, and one of us is very badly injured." Aayla said.
"Violence Breeds Violence. Jedi are no peacekeepers."
Aayla looked down seeing her lightsaber.
"We're fighting for freedom and change." Ahsoka said.
"And freedom and Change require fear and Death? We colonized this system to find solace from your wretched war. We came here to find peace. You must leave. You will only destroy what peace is left in the galaxy."
"Thats not fair. We didn't start this war and we didn't want to be in it. We tried to talk this out peacefully but they wouldn't listen. Not with Dooku in charge. Some people don't want peace. They just want power. Even if it means the death of billions. It's how life works unfortunately." Ahsoka said making him look down.
"That I cannot deny."
"Regardless of the clone wars and our part in them. We still need help and I doubt you can turn away from a plead for help." Aayla said making him sigh.
"No I cannot." With that he called for one of his people to him. "I will send my son, Wag Too, to help your friend. He is a healer. But only one Jedi will go with him. Wouldn't want a surprise attack on our village or the kidnapping of our only healer."
"I'll stay." Aayla said.
"Right let's get going." Coulson said.
Later
"Here drink this. It will heal your injuries."
"Thank you. I'm sure you're aware the Jedi are not the ones who started the war. Our only intention was to end it quickly and restore peace to the galaxy." Aayla said making him stop from leaving.
"It makes little difference who started it or who wants to end it. No side is free of fault. It takes two to fight."
"Perhaps but like Ahsoka said we didn't want this. And we did try to solve our issues peacefully with the Separatists at first but they would not listen and with Dooku and his Separatist leaders in charge...Peace was beyond our reach. If we did nothing they would have invaded countless worlds and slaughtered millions. Sometimes to prevent more death is to fight back. It's regretful yes but it's how the galaxy works." Aayla said making him nod.
"Yes. Sounds like the words of someone I knew at a young age before his mother became Ill."
"Sean?" Aayla asked making him freeze.
"How do you know him?"
"He's allied with the Republic after his intentions became known. The Jedi can't deny his goals with the stones have benefits that could end conflict forever as well as every problem the universe faces." Aayla said.
"Yes that sounds like him. I knew him when he was a boy before the war. He always knew the ideas of ending all the problems of the universe and knew the stones were the answer. No one...Not even his mother knows them like he does."
Later
Sean was being brought to the village to heal properly when he was sat down before he opened his eyes looking at the villagers.
"Um...Guys?" Sean asked confused.
"Well, well, well." The Village leader said walking to him.
"Kaa?" Sean asked.
"If I had known you were the one so hurt I would have said yes right away." Kaa said amused making him chuckle lightly.
"Yeah sure...Ow." Sean said holding his side before he was placed inside a pod as Wag Too used ointments to heal him before Aayla walked inside.
"You should heal up soon enough." Aayla said.
"Hopefully. Knowing Tarkin he's not far behind." Sean said as she held his face.
"Thank you...For coming to save me." Aayla said making him smile.
"Aayla I would do anything for you." Sean said making her smile.
"I know." Aayla said before she leaned down and kissed him making him chuckle lightly.
"If thats a thank you for saving you I wonder what the Reward is." Sean said making her giggle.
Later
Everyone was recovering at the village waiting to be extracted from a recovery team.
Thanks to the Power stone Sean's healing had went along much smoother with the healing herbs.
While this was going on Garret was keeping a look out before he looked up seeing something making him get his scope out and saw a Separatist drop ship.
"Guys we got company. Droid drop ship heading right for us." Garret said.
"Roger that. Get back to the Tent." Rex said.
Sean was still recovering inside the tent when Coulson walked in.
"We got a problem. Separatists reinforcements." Coulson said.
"This is neutral space." Wag Too said.
"Could Ultron have tracked us?" Ahsoka asked.
"Unlikely. No something else is going on." Sean said getting his armor on but groaned.
"Don't struggle. Your still too injured to fight." Wag Too said.
"I...Have enough strength...For one thing to do." Sean said getting the Gauntlet on as the stones glowed.
Approaching the Village was someone of Gunray's species who approached Kaa.
"I am General Lok Durd..." Durd tried to say before a purple wave of Power destroyed his entire army making him scream in fright before looking seeing Sean with his Gauntlet glowing as he panted in exhaustion before Rex and the others had Durd contained as he sighed in defeat. "Out of all the places he could have been he had to be here." Durd said annoyed. (Just bad timing)
"I know you...Your part of weapons development projects...Directly under the command...Of MODOK." Sean said glaring at him.
"How did you even get here so quick?" Durd asked.
"You can blame...Ultron for that." Sean said before Sanctuary arrived making him sigh in relief as Aayla held him.
Later
Sean was being examined by Reed and Jean Grey.
"How is he?" Tarkin asked.
"He needs to rest for at least a few days. Even with the stone he can't push himself too far." Reed said.
"Try telling that to him." Aayla joked making them chuckle.
"I'll make sure he knows he is on leave for a while. A nice break is needed for everyone when they've been pushed like this." Jean said.
"Indeed. Who will take his place though?" Tarkin asked.
"David can handle that until he returns. May not have near flawless tactics like him but they are more than sufficient to do the job until he gets back." Reed said as they left before Aayla walked to him as he sat up from his healing process.
"Let me take a shot and guess they just put me on leave." Sean said.
"Did you guess or have a vision?" Aayla asked making smile.
"Guess." Sean said making her smile.
"Well, Some time away could be nice for both of us." Aayla said making him nod as he held her close.
"I got a spot in mind. In my territory actually." Sean said.
