Chapter Five: Fairy World
Disclaimer: See chapter one
Well Hello everyone, welcome back to this tale. Last time, Timmy became a fairy, and Anti-Timmy swore vengeance.
This time, Timmy's first day in fairy world as a fairy and dealling with some family issues.
On with the Show:
Fairy Council
After leaving the home of their Anti-Fairy counterparts, Jorgen brought the Fairy family before the Fairy Council. Cosmo and Wanda knew they would have to stand before the Council to answer for breaking their rules, despite hoping that this was dealt with when they visit the Turner house in the middle of Cosmo and Anti-Cosmo's duel.
As they stood before the High Fairy Council, who were looking down at them. Almost instinctively, they tightened their holds on their sons, to tell the Council they will protect them at all costs. Timmy was currently in his mother's arms and his brother was in their father's arms. "Cosmo Cosma and Wanda Fairywinkle-Cosma, you stand before this Council in judgment for defying the decree of Fairies not having kids. The loophole of Jorgen not putting it into Da Rules for the second son that allowed Timmy to wish for a brother notwithstanding. Henceforth, until we determine otherwise, your godparent licenses are suspended, and you are also forbidden from Earth until you are reinstated," The Blue Robed Council member spoke, in his commanding voice, pronouncing judgment.
"Let us be clear, not just to you, but for all fairies," the Purple one leaned forward in emphasis. "From this moment on, there will be no further additions to our species or our counterparts, once Poof's opposite is born. Jorgen…"
"I know, I know, I officially put it in the book after telling you about this situation," Jorgen sighed, he will never hear the end of it from them.
"Don't worry, your honors, after the past few weeks, you have no reason to worry about us having more kids, two is good for me," Wanda assured them.
With their formal judgment given, their mood seemed to soften a little, "Timmy will need to get his wand in short order, we have set up an appointment with the shop for you for tomorrow afternoon," the purple robed member said.
"Also, considering we know how your respective families are," the turquoise robed one began to say. Cosmo and Wanda tensed up in frustration, they were not looking forward to dealing with that. "We have decided that you have our backing. Tell Mama Cosma and Big Daddy that if they try anything to separate you from your spouse or more importantly, your children, that we will get involved. Tell Big Daddy that we will no longer tolerate his mafia style business practices, and that Jorgen is henceforth authorized to impose order on him." Jorgen smirked, remembering how he was kinda forced to deputize Big Daddy that one time he tried to take Wanda away from Cosmo and Timmy, he will enjoy it if he has to lay down the law.
Both parents breathed a sigh of relief, to hear that the Council would back them against their parents, was a surreal thing. "Thank you," was all they could say.
"Now, you are free to leave," the Council dismissed them.
Jorgen showed them to the door, "just a fair warning, news of Timmy has gotten out to the public, so not only will you deal with those that want to see Poof, expect Fairy News to be all over you for a while."
"Good to know," Cosmo said, with a roll of the eyes.
To say that news had broken to the public about another fairy baby, was a bit of an understatement, considering they were flooded with reporters and journalists, as they left the Council's chambers. Poof was disturbed by the cameras in his face and all the flashing lights, and he began to tear up a bit. Realizing something was about to happen, both parents brandished their wands against their fellow fairy. "Back up, back up, if Poof cries, something bad will happen," Cosmo said, remembering the hospital when Poof burped.
"How could such a cute little guy like this make a bad thing happen?" a reporter managed to get close and took a picture right up in Poof's face, that set him off, and Poof began to cry. Immediately, the sky darkened, the winds picked up, and rain came down like a torrent, with cracks of thunder and lightning making strikes against the gathered fairies, in proof of what Cosmo said.
With a poof, the Fairy Council and Jorgen appeared in front of the Cosma family to address the crowd. With one commanding voice, the Council gave a proclamation. "Begone! Leave this family alone, Fairy World has suffered from the ill effects of a distraught Fairy Baby one too many times in the past. Heed this warning or suffer the consequences!" Cosmo had managed to get Poof to calm down and the storm died out.
Jorgen turned to them, "better get going," the Fairy Family agreed and poofed away, they needed a few supplies anyway.
While they were shopping, which was more difficult than it should be, now that everyone knows about their sons, Cosmo got a message from his mother that simply said Come Over ASAP. As much as they would have preferred to have been allowed to go home for a little bit, they figured it would be better to get it over with.
As for Timmy, he held his father's hand tightly as they shopped, and Wanda had Poof in a stroller cart that she had made with her magic. He was overwhelmed a good bit to even say something, the past few hours had been hectic to process. Leaving Earth behind and regaining his true form, meeting his Anti-Fairy counterpart, The Council and the people that kept trying to bother them. Once they had all their supplies, with a wave of their wands and sent it to their home, than went to Mama Cosma's house.
Mama Cosma's House
To say that this was going to be easy was an impossibility, for as they arrived, Big Daddy and surprisingly, Blonda. Wanda raised her brow at her actor sister in question, that she took time out of being an actress to be here, who indicated that their father had grabbed her. Mama Cosma had set up several chairs, and the family took their spots. Big Daddy's arms were crossed and a stern look on his face.
"So, where do we begin?" Cosmo said, his arms and legs crossed. Timmy sat next to him, quietly, knowing how his grandparents could be.
"First, you marry in secret to someone we disapproved of, had two kids with said person, breaking Fairy Law in doing so, gave one up to live as human, and then become his godparents, and just recently had another one. Let alone, me and your sister were not invited to the shower." Big Daddy started the accusation.
"Yes, we did. I do not regret any of it. If I did, I would not have had two wonderful children with Cosmo. We are together whether you like it or not. I didn't invite either of you to the shower because I did not need the belittling treatment of either me or Cosmo for having a kid, and if things had gone our way, we wouldn't have invited Mama Cosma either." Wanda's voice was firm, it had to be, this was a long time coming for one reason or another.
"Stuck up, bossy…" Mama Cosma started to say an insult to Wanda. However, that was the wrong move at that moment.
Both fairies looked their relatives dead in the eye, as Cosmo bluntly told them what the situation was. "Mama, if you ever disrespect my wife like you do again, we will cut off all contact with you, you will never see your grandsons again, and if we see each other in public, we will not know you," Cosmo's voice was hard. Mama Cosma was taken aback with Cosmo's attitude with her.
Wanda looked at her father and sister with hard eyes, "same goes for you, Big Daddy."
"Sugar Plum, don't be that way." Big Daddy seemed taken aback by how his daughter was acting. However, Wanda was not hearing it. She intended to lay down the law with their parents.
"If either of you try to separate us from either each other or one or both our sons, you will answer to Jorgen and the Fairy Council," Cosmo said. concerning both of them to hear that the Council was involved.
"Fair warning, Big Daddy, Jorgen will not bow to you again, like he did before, and the Fairy Council will audit the company if you try anything," Wanda told her father, she knew how her father ran things and knew that would strike a chord with him.
Big Daddy's eyes went wide, the Fairy Council had been a bit cool with him and how he did things before, they had turned a blind eye to some of his mafia dealings in the past, making people disappear, for a while anyway. "They looking into us? Wanda, what did you tell them?"
"Nothing, they told us to tell you that we have their backing against any antics you two can put together," she said, indicating both him and Mama Cosma. "Are we clear?"
"Crystal, darling," Big Daddy said.
"Good, now, do you wish to meet your grandson?" Cosmo asked. The next hour they spent in relatively good relations with their family, though it remained tense. When at last, thanks to Poof getting a bit fussy, the fairy family left Mama Cosma's place and finally went home.
Home
As the family stood outside the house, Timmy looked up at the pink and green house in a bit of wonder. "Welcome home, Timmy," Wanda said.
"It's been too long since we have been here," Cosmo said as he reached into his pocket and got the front door key out. Despite the fact that for many things, Fairies just poof from room to room, Cosmo having a job as a magic key made him understand the need for physical locks. Opening the door and heading inside, Timmy was impressed by the cozy cottage that would serve as his home.
"Take a look around, Timmy, while I take care of your brother and Cosmo puts the supplies we bought away. I will make dinner after Poof is settled," Wanda said and then went to take care of Poof. Timmy began to look around, wondering if the principles of the fish castle applied to fairy homes. Cosmo turned to putting the supplies away. As he stood in the kitchen doing so, he did have to think about how it was a bit odd for them to be in this position, but also happy that he had his family together and back home. he also thought about how he and Wanda would need to talk with Timmy about them returning to their normal fairy forms, then again, they had kinda gotten used to standing on their own legs like Jorgen and the Council. Getting things put away, he looked out the window at the neighborhood, and was grateful that they got this house on the quiet side of Fairy World.
Timmy came back first, as he was looking outside. "Hey Dad, I found my bedroom." To Cosmo, hearing Time call him Dad was a sort of vindication in his eyes, and by the way that Timmy said it naturally, it means he had fully accepted it.
"Yeah, once we remembered that you were our son, with Poof on the way, while you were at school, we would come up here and prepare it for both of you. Turns out that we still had the crib we had for you in the basement, so now your brother will get to use it.
"I will say, seeing this place after the castle, I am a bit disappointed with how bare it is," Timmy said as he came up beside his father.
Cosmo smirked, "yeah, well, considering it was just the two of us and then after the whole deal with you, we never really filled this place as we used the castle more as we moved between assignments. That will change over time, now that you are here."
Once Wanda had put Poof down for a nap, she came back and made one of Timmy's favorite dinners and the fairy family enjoyed the peace and quiet that they earned after the day they had. As they all turned in for the night, Timmy, for once, was waiting for what the next day would bring as it means that he would get his wand. Though something did stick with him as he drifted off to sleep, about how his counterpart promised to get revenge on him for him being ill for over decade. He vowed that he would be ready for it.
There you have it, everyone. Chapter 5 of this tale. Hope you liked it. So, Cosmo and Wanda have laid down the law with their parents and finally managed to get home.
Next time, Timmy gets his wand, and perhaps the seeds of revolution in Anti-Fairy world. Stay tuned.
