Chapter 62: Calming the Mood
It was a new day as Dylan Riley and the girls were fully healed after their fight with Mei Hatsume, thanks to Ristarte and Secre using their abilities to heal them when they got home.
Dylan (wearing his glasses, black Young Bucks "Money to Burn" t-shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers) was ready for the day as he walks over to the door of his den.
"Okay, I have to show Robin the photos of my trip," Dylan said as he was about to reach the doorknob.
Then, the door busts open and Mei Hatsume (wearing her goggles, work gloves, black tank top, black mechanic coveralls that was tied around her waist, and black work boots) comes in and gets into Dylan's face.
"Good morning Dylan," Mei said to Dylan in an excited tone.
"Good morning Mei," Dylan said to Mei in a nervous tone as he looks away from her.
"Still shy, I like it," Mei said to Dylan.
"Well I have a new lab to make my babies in," Mei said.
"Let me show you," Mei said to Dylan as she grabs onto Dylan's wrists tightly as Dylan looked nervous as hell over Mei's nature.
Mei then drags Dylan down the hall as Dylan looked visibly upset. They soon reach the door to the built in garage and Mei opens the door.
Mei then let go of Dylan's wrists and then they walk into the garage. What Dylan sees is numerous work benches, tools, and materials that Mei brought in.
"Wow, this looks nice, a perfect place for you," Dylan said to Mei.
"I'm glad you love it," Mei said to Dylan as she gets into his face again.
Then, Nami (wearing a black t-shirt with three tangerines on it, blue jeans, and gladiator sandals) walks into the garage and sees the work on it.
"Oh hey Dylan, Mei, man I love this place," Nami said to Dylan and Mei.
"I'm glad you like it too because it's my new workspace," Mei said to Nami as she gets into Nami's face.
Mei then backs away a bit as Nami faces Dylan.
"So Dylan, how are you doing?" Nami asked Dylan.
"Oh I'm doing fine," Dylan said as Nami could see Dylan looking upset.
"Want to hang out with me and Robin?" Nami asked Dylan.
"Sure," Dylan said and then he and Nami exit Mei's new workspace.
"Okay, have fun you two," Mei said to Dylan and Nami.
Later on, Dylan was showing Nami and Nico Robin (wearing her aviators, pink t-shirt, dark pink dolphin shorts, and pink pumps) the photos from the Philadelphia trip as they sit down on the couch on the living room.
"Here is a photo of the girls eating Philly Cheesesteaks," Dylan said as he shows a photo of the girls eating the food.
Dylan then flicks to a set of photos of the 2300 Arena.
"Here is the 2300 Arena," Dylan said.
"The hardcore wrestling building?" Robin asked Dylan.
"Yes," Dylan said.
"I was outside of it and I could smell the blood from it," Nami said.
Dylan then shows a photo of Swanky Bubbles, a bar featured on Bar Rescue.
"Here is a photo of the now closed Swanky Bubbles," Dylan said.
"It was a bar featured on Bar Rescue," Dylan said to Nami and Robin.
"That would explain why we went there and a few other bars as well," Nami said.
"Did you drink?" Robin asked Dylan.
"No these bars are closed," Dylan said.
Dylan then shows a photo of the now closed Downey's Irish Pub.
"Here is Downey's Irish Pub, which is also closed, let me tell you the Philly bars did not do well," Dylan said.
Dylan then shows a photo of the now closed 2nd State Lounge.
"And here's 2nd State Lounge, which is closed," Dylan said.
"Man I feel depressed," Nami said as she didn't know was that Mei was approaching them.
"Hey Dylan," Mei said to Dylan as she gets into Dylan's face again as Dylan was frightened by Mei's sudden appearance.
"Jeez Mei, you scared me half to death and I'm usually the one to scare people," Dylan said to Mei as Mei flips over the top of the couch and sits on it.
"So, looking at photos?" Mei asked Dylan as she gets uncomfortably close to him.
"Yes," Dylan said.
"Can I see them?" Mei asked Dylan as Robin sees how uncomfortable Dylan was.
"Maybe later Miss Inventor, how about you show me your new lab?" Robin asked Mei.
"Sure thing," Mei said as she gets off the couch and helps Robin off the couch as they stand on the floor.
Mei then leads Robin down the hall as Dylan was starting to feel calm.
"Oh thank god," Dylan said as he breathed a sigh of relief.
"Has Mei been like that all day?" Nami asked Dylan.
"Yes and I'm trying to be calm, but it's not helping," Dylan said as he puts his iPhone on sleep mode and puts the phone in his front right jeans pocket.
During the day, Mei kept getting into Dylan's face, wanting to hang out with him, but it made Dylan more nervous and anxious.
Soon, Dylan was playing the Rollercoaster Tycoon pinball machine. He was doing really good as his score was decently high and he was on his final ball.
"Okay, here it comes," Dylan said as the ball was close to the right flipper.
"Hey Dylan," Mei said to Dylan as she gets into his face again.
Dylan flinches in shock as the ball slides off the flipper and into the bottom as it was game over.
"Mei," Dylan said to Mei as he was trying to remain calm.
Dylan steps away from the machine and puts his hands on the couch.
"Having fun?" Mei asked Dylan as she was getting close to him.
"I was," Dylan said.
"Want to see me build my babies?" Mei asked Dylan.
"I just want to be alone right now," Dylan said as he walks to the stairs.
"Let me join you," Mei said to Dylan as she follows him.

Dylan then walks upstairs and to the main floor where Lucoa (wearing her pink cap, black tank top, blue jean shorts, black stockings, and pink sneakers) was waiting in the main hall.
"Hey Dylan baby," Lucoa said to Dylan as Dylan pasts her and this confused Lucoa.
Meanwhile, Mei was in the basement as she didn't know what was going on with Dylan.
Later in the day, Mei was in her new workshop, working away on a new invention.
"Oh my latest baby is coming together," Mei said as she was hammering away.
"Hey Mei, can you come out here," Nami said to Mei from the living room.
"Sure," Mei said as she puts down the hammer.
Mei then makes her way out of the workshop, down the hall, and into the living room where the girls were sitting down.
"Oh hey ladies," Mei said to the girls as she sits on the couch.
Mei looks around to see Dylan wasn't with the others.
"Where is Dylan?" Mei asked the girls.
"He's in his den," Nojiko (wearing her red bandana, a black tank top, blue ripped jean shorts that stop at her knees, and black and white sneakers) said.
"And he looked tense," Meredy (wearing a red long sleeve shirt, black biker shorts, and red ankle-length boots) said.
"Why I'm a great girl," Mei said as she gets into Meredy's face.
"You might be a great girl, but you can be a bit too much," Nami said to Mei as Mei gets out of Meredy's face.
"What do you mean by bit too much?" Mei asked Nami.
"It's just, you get into people's faces a bit," Secre Swallowtail (wearing a white t-shirt with a demonic crow on it, black shorts with a white trim, and black sneakers) said to Mei.
"That's just me, I get into people's face and they feel fine, in fact I get into you girls' faces and you don't mind," Mei said to the girls.
"Yeah fine," Botan (wearing a pink t-shirt with a brown jacket over it, dark blue jeans, and white sneakers) said sarcastically.
"It's just Dylan doesn't like it when you get in his face," Robin said to Mei.
"I thought he was being shy," Mei said.
"He is shy, but he doesn't like people getting into his face," Bellemere (wearing her MACE shirt, indigo jeans, and brown flip flops) said.
"Why?" Mei asked.
"Did Dylan tell you?" Juvia Lockser (wearing her blue fedora, light blue short sleeve dress that stop at her mid-thighs, and blue and white sneakers) asked Mei.
"No he didn't tell me anything," Mei said.
"Dylan was bullied in school," Nami said.
"Oh," Mei said as she felt kind of sad.
"The bullies got into Dylan's face and called him names, ever since then he gets anxious when someone does that to him," Nami said.
"Well now I feel like shit," Mei said as she felt bad.
"I also saw him rubbing his wrists, like someone grabbed him hard," Kinoko Komori (wearing a grey t-shirt with a purple and white mushroom on it, black leggings, and red sneakers) said.
"I might have grabbed his wrists to show him my workshop," Mei said in embarrassment.

Later on, it was nighttime as Dylan was in his den and puts the new Mei trading card in it's slot in the card display.
"Oh Mei, you are an inventive girl, but I don't know how much longer I can tolerate your 'in your face' attitude," Dylan said.
"I know you are like that with the others, but I hate that kind of attention," Dylan said and then he hears a knock on the door.
"Coming," Dylan said as he walks over to the closed door.
Dylan then reaches the door and opens it. He then sees Mei standing there, as she cleaned herself up and wearing her goggles, black sleeveless loose-fitting dress that reaches to her mid-thighs, and black ankle-length boots.
"Oh, hey Mei," Dylan said to Mei.
"May I come in?" Mei asked Dylan.
"Sure," Dylan said and then Mei walks into the den.
Dylan then closes the door and Mei faces Dylan.
"Hey Dylan, is it alright if I say something?" Mei asked Dylan.

"I'm sorry I snapped at you earlier, I just don't like someone getting into my face, I had enough bad memories of that in school and it brought it back, usually I'm not like that but I just lapsed at that moment." Dylan said to Mei.

"And I'm really sorry for grabbing you forcibly and getting in your face, I have never seen anyone be that uncomfortable around me before, usually they back away but when you got anxious, I knew something was wrong," Mei said to Dylan as her eyes were starting to well up with tears.
"I didn't mean to get you anxious, I want to be your friend, your lover, I don't want you to hate me," Mei said to Dylan as the tears fall down her cheeks.
"Oh Mei," Dylan said to Mei as he felt bad for her.
Dylan then carefully wipes away the tears from Mei's eyes as he could see the sadness in them.
"Do you want a hug?" Dylan asked Mei.
"Yes," Mei said.
Dylan then gives Mei a soft hug and then Mei returns the hug.

"I heard you like this violent wrestling, but not this much," Mei said to Dylan.
"Well I really like the style of wrestling where they bleed buckets," Dylan said.
"I heard that fans bring weapons to these shows," Mei said.
"Yes, whenever they have fans bring the weapons matches," Dylan said.
"Have you brought weapons?" Mei asked Dylan.
"Yes a guitar, a Pinkie Pie piñata filled with thumbtacks, and a cooking sheet covered in cut up soda cans," Dylan said as Mei walks over to a pile of papers.
"Maybe you could draw me some weapon ideas," Mei said as she grabs ten sheets of paper.
"You sure, because most of my weapon ideas won't make it past the border?" Dylan asked Mei.
"Oh I'm sure, I want to see what kind of violent babies you can come up with," Mei said to Dylan as she hands him the papers.
"Alright, take a seat over at the table as I draw my ideas," Dylan said to Mei.
"Sure thing," Mei said and then she walks over to the table and sits on one of the chairs.
Dylan then puts the papers on the kitchen counter as he picks up a pencil.
Dylan spreads out the pieces of papers as he starts to draw his crazy weapon ideas.
"Some of these creations would have the wrestlers terrified, but I'm sure Mei will love them," Dylan thought.

Twenty minutes later, Dylan finished drawing as he puts the pencil down.

Mei looks through the weapon ideas Dylan had. The first drawing was a 2x4 covered in light bulbs and the light bulbs were covered in thumbtacks. The second drawing was a light tube bundle (with five tubes in it) covered in gusset plates. The third drawing was a pane of glass covered in gusset plates and pigeon spikes. The fourth drawing was a boogie board covered in razor wire. The fifth drawing was a plastic bat covered in pushpins and pigeon spikes.
"So Mei, what do you think so far?" Dylan asked Mei.
"I'm still looking," Mei said as she had five drawings left to examine.
The sixth drawing was a light tube bundle (with ten tubes in it) covered in ornaments. The seventh drawing was a board covered in sharpened pencils that read "ICW" on it. The eighth drawing was a surfboard covered in hypodermic needles. The ninth drawing was a oar covered in nakiri bōchō knives. And the last drawing, probably the biggest one, was a built bed frame with panes of glass on top of it and on the panes are pigeon spikes and pencils.
"I'm done," Mei said as she puts down the papers.
"What do you think?" Dylan asked Mei.
"I think you have way too much time on your hands," Mei said to Dylan.
Dylan starts to laugh a bit as he heard that from not only his parents, but the girls as well.
