Chapter 76: The Gem Hunt
It was the morning after their time together as Dylan Riley and Téa Gardner were naked as their bodies were under the covers. Téa then slowly opens her eyes and lets out a yawn.
"Mmm that was fantastic," Téa said as she rubs her eyes a little and sits up.
Téa then looks over to see Dylan was still fast asleep.
"Hey wake up," Téa said softly to Dylan as she gently pokes him on his forehead.
After five pokes, Dylan wakes up as he sees Téa in his sights.
"Good morning big guy," Téa said to Dylan.
"Oh good morning Téa," Dylan said softly to Téa.
"That was an awesome night last night," Téa said.
"Yeah it was an awesome night," Dylan said as Téa rests on top of him.
"So you ready for today?" Téa asked Dylan.
"Can I stay in bed today?" Dylan asked Téa as Téa giggles a little.
"Nope, you got to get out and enjoy the day," Téa said to Dylan.
"Can I snuggle a bit more with you before I do it?" Dylan asked Téa.
"Sure," Téa said as Dylan wraps his arms around her.
Dylan and Téa make out a little before they get out of bed.
Thirty seconds later, the bedroom door opens as Nami (wearing a black tank top with "COIN" on it, white jeans, and gladiator sandals) peeks into the room.
"Hey Dylan," Nami said to Dylan and then she sees what was going on.
"Oh," Nami said in shock as Téa breaks off the kiss.
Téa blushes in embarrassment as she hides under the covers.
"Oh I'm sorry," Nami said to the pair.
"Hey it's alright," Dylan said to Nami as he lets go of Téa.
"Come on out," Dylan said to Téa as Téa pops her head out of the covers.
"It's okay, Nami has seen me naked before," Dylan said to Téa.
"I have seen him naked and seeing him in bed with another harem member isn't too surprising to me," Nami said.
"Okay," Téa said as she gets off of Dylan.
"What's going on Nami?" Dylan asked Nami.
"Oh Master Makarov called and he needs your help," Nami said to Dylan.
"Master Makarov?" Téa asked Dylan.
"He's the guild master of Fairy Tail," Dylan said.
"Well I guess I can go over and help, after all they help build this mansion as well," Dylan said.
"Really?" Téa asked Dylan in shock.
"Yes," Dylan said.
"Perfect, I'll call him back and tell him you will be here," Nami said to Dylan.
"Awesome, love you," Dylan said to Nami.
"Love you too," Nami said to Dylan as she walks out of the den and closes the door.
"Well we better get ready," Téa said to Dylan as she gets off the bed and stands on the floor.
"Yeah," Dylan said as Téa quickly gets dressed.
Dylan then gets off the bed, walks into the bathroom, and closes the door behind him. While Téa was now fully dressed and walks out of the bedroom and den.
A few hours later, Dylan (wearing his glasses, a grey Deathmatch Worldwide "The Violent Few" t-shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers) and Téa (wearing a black muscle shirt with a gold bird on it, dark blue jean skirt, and brown knee-high boots) were in Dylan's Chevy Silverado as Téa was driving them to the guild.
"Thanks for coming with me Téa," Dylan said to Téa.
"No problem, I want to see this guild that Juvia talked about," Téa said.
"I hope you don't mind craziness," Dylan said to Téa.
"Eh I have dealt with crazy before, this shouldn't be too bad," Téa said.
"Hey I wonder what this Makarov wants with you?" Téa asked Dylan.
"I have no idea, we'll see when we get there," Dylan said to Téa.
An hour later, they made it to the Fairy Tail guild as Téa turns off the truck and puts it in park.
"We are here," Dylan said to Téa as they undid their seatbelts.
"Now, most of the guild don't know about the harem situation, so please keep quiet on that part," Dylan said to Téa.
"Okay," Téa said.
"Hey before we go in, can we have a quick kiss?" Téa asked Dylan.
Dylan then leans forward and gives Téa a quick kiss on the lips, stopping after five seconds.
"You good?" Dylan asked Téa.
"Yes I am," Téa said and then they exit the truck.
Dylan and Téa then close the doors and walk over to the front door of the guild as Téa couldn't believe the size of it.
"This is the guild?" Téa asked Dylan in shock.
"Yes it is, you're not the first to be shocked by the size and you won't be the last," Dylan said to Téa.
Dylan then knocks on the door as he was hoping someone would answer it.
"Come in," Natsu Dragneel said from inside as Dylan opens the door of the guild.
Dylan and Téa then walk into the guild as Dylan closes the door behind him.
"If it isn't Dylan, the guy who beat Gray the ice stripper," Natsu said to Dylan as Gray Fullbuster heard it.
"Hey," Gray said in anger.
"It's true," Natsu said in anger to Gray.
Laxus Dreyar then looks over to see Dylan standing next to Téa.
"Hey Dylan, who's your friend beside you?" Laxus asked Dylan.
"Oh this is Téa Gardner," Dylan said.
"Téa, welcome to the Fairy Tail guild," Dylan said to Téa as she looks around the building.
"This place is off the charts," Téa said in shock as she looks around a bit.
Téa then heads over to the library as Wendy Marvell looks over to her.
"Oh you must be new here," Wendy said to Téa as Téa looks over to Wendy.
"Yes I'm one of Dylan's new friends," Téa said.
"I'm Wendy Marvell," Wendy said.
"Nice to meet you," Téa said to Wendy as she pats her head a little.
Dylan was waiting at a table as he was wondering what was going on.
"I wonder what is the reason for me to be here?" Dylan asked himself.
Then, Dylan heard some insane laughing behind him as he felt like he heard the voice before.
"So this is the man Laxus was talking about," another male voice said as Dylan immediately knew the people were.
Dylan then looks around as he sees the two members of The Thunder Legion, Bickslow and Fried Justine, standing there.
"Oh my god, Bickslow and Fried, two thirds of The Thunder Legion," Dylan said to Bickslow and Fried in an slightly excited tone.
"So this is the Dylan Riley that Laxus was talking about," Bickslow said.
"Yeah I expected him to be in more physical shape," Fried said as he pictured Dylan with more muscle.
"Well I'm sorry to not meet your expectations," Dylan said to Fried.
"I can't believe this guy defeated Gray Fullbuster," Fried said to Bickslow.
"And without any power, that is pretty amazing, you earned my respect," Bickslow said to Dylan.
"Oh thanks," Dylan said to Bickslow.
Then, Dylan sees several of Bickslow's floating wooden dolls flying around him.
"So you like my babies?" Bickslow asked Dylan.
"Yeah, they're pretty nice," Dylan said and then he realize something.
"This is my first time seeing you two, where were you two when I came here the first time?" Dylan asked Bickslow and Fried.
"Oh we were on a quest," Bickslow said.
"Yes we were on a gruelling quest, something that would made Laxus very proud," Fried said.
"Oh yeah, I forgot how much Fried really likes Laxus," Dylan thought.
"Well it was nice meeting you," Bickslow said to Dylan and then he laughs a little like a madman.
"Yes but we need to talk business with Laxus," Fried said.
"Okay," Dylan said as Fried and Bickslow walk over to Laxus.
"They seem cool in person," Dylan thought.
"Hey Dylan," Levy McGarden said to Dylan as Dylan sees her waving at another table seven feet away from him, with Gajeel Redfox sitting next to her.
Dylan then gets off his seat, walks over to the other table, and sits down at it, looking directly at Levy and Gajeel.
"Hey Levy and Gajeel, how are my favorite bookworm and iron dragon?" Dylan asked Levy and Gajeel.
"Fine," Gajeel said.
"Doing good," Levy said.
"So, have you two been out on a date yet?" Dylan asked Levy and Gajeel as Levy starts to blush like crazy.
"Oh my god, no, no way," Levy said trying to play it cool.
"Oh really, I just thought after that kiss you two would be stuck like glue," Dylan said to Levy and Gajeel.
"We just haven't found the right time to do it," Levy said as the blushing stops.
"Yeah, time," Dylan said as he didn't believe that for one bit.
Levy then looks to see Téa handing out with Wendy as she felt like that Téa was the newest addition to Dylan's ever expanding harem.
"So the girl with Wendy, she's part of your group?" Levy asked Dylan.
"Yes, Téa is in the harem and I did have sex with her," Dylan said to Levy quietly.
"Wow, I didn't expect another girl so soon," Levy said.
"Actually I have a few new members to this group," Dylan said.
"Really?" Gajeel asked Dylan.
"Can I see the others?" Levy asked Dylan.
"Sure," Dylan said as he pulls out his iPhone from his front right pocket and puts it on the table.
Dylan then turns on his phone, goes to the menu, and heads into the photos app. He then selects "Me and My Harem" album as he was about to show Levy and Gajeel the newest members of his harem.
Dylan then first shows a photo of him and Nojiko.
"This is Nojiko, Nami's sister and Bellemere's daughter," Dylan said.
"Wait, Nami has a sister," Levy said in shock.
"They aren't blood related," Dylan said.
"I see some of Nami in her, mainly the ink," Gajeel said.
Dylan then flicks over to a photo of him and Itsuka Kendo.
"This is Itsuka Kendo, Kinoko Komori's classmate and friend," Dylan said.
"That little mushroom girl, she's her friend, I wouldn't expect it from her physique," Levy said.
"Itsuka is the big sister of Class 1-B and she really cares about Kinoko, and she is powerful," Dylan said and then he looks over to Gajeel.
"If you and her fought, it would be a great show," Dylan said to Gajeel.
"Ooh I'm liking her already," Gajeel said with a smile on his face.
Dylan then flicks over to a photo of him and Shampoo.
"This is Shampoo, she's an Amazon warrior and is a very talented fighter," Dylan said.
"I bet she can cause some trouble," Gajeel said.
"She's a bit like Juvia, she has a bit of an obsession over me, but it is a bit more toned down now," Dylan said.
"Oh and she can turn into a cat, if you spill cold or somewhat cold water on her, she turns into a cat. With warm water turning her back into a human," Dylan said.
"I bet you love that," Levy said to Dylan.
"I do, especially when she is curled up on my belly," Dylan said.
Dylan then flicks over to a photo of him and Mei Hatsume.
"This is Mei Hatsume, she's from the same school as Kinoko and Itsuka, and she's a support student," Dylan said.
"Support?" Gajeel asked Dylan.
"Yes, she helps build weapons and gadgets," Dylan said.
"Is she good at it?" Levy asked Dylan.
"She's trying her best, so far the explosions from her workshop have been down to eight per week," Dylan said as he was trying to be nice.
Then, Dylan flicks over to a photo of him and Karui.
"And this is Karui, a kunoichi," Dylan said as Gajeel was impressed for Dylan getting a girl like Karui.
"Oh Dylan, nice catch," Gajeel said to Dylan.
"Yeah, she seems like a perfect one for you," Levy said to Dylan.
"Yeah Karui has been more chilled since being in the harem and me and her have bonded a bit," Dylan said to Karui.
"How was it when you two did it, I mean once you go black you can't go back," Levy said to Dylan.
"Oh it was awesome, but I like all my times with the girls and I give the same amount of love to her as to the others," Dylan said as he exits the app and puts his phone on sleep mode.
"Wow, this harem is getting more impressive," Levy said.
"Yeah, you got your own mini-guild here," Gajeel said to Dylan.
"Thanks, yeah I would consider it a small guild," Dylan said to Gajeel.
"Oh by the way Levy, why does Makarov want with me?" Dylan asked Levy.
"Well you'll find out," Levy said to Dylan as they sees Makarov Dreyar walking over to the table.
Dylan then grabs his phone and puts it back in his pocket as Makarov approaches them.
"Oh hello Master Makarov," Dylan said to Makarov.
"Oh hello Dylan, you got my message," Makarov said to Dylan.
"Yes I did," Dylan said as he signals Téa to come over here.
Téa then sees Dylan as she walks over to the table and stands next to him.
"So what's going on?" Dylan asked Makarov.
"Actually, Natsu will explain it to you," Makarov said to Dylan as Natsu walks over to him.
"Okay I got this job request and I need to find this gem, and since you know more about this area than us, we thought you could help me," Natsu said to Dylan.
"Have you determined any spots where it could be located?" Dylan asked Natsu.
Levy then pulls out a map and puts it on the table. She then unrolls it as the map was of the county.
Dylan looks down to see three Xs marked on the map.
"So these are the possible locations where it could be?" Dylan asked Natsu.
"I think," Natsu said.
"So from the map it is either in Perth, Smiths Falls, or in Kemptville," Dylan said.
"Does anyone know what it looks like?" Dylan asked.
"I think it is small, white, and it might look like a cloud," Natsu said.
"Well it doesn't help," Dylan said as he knew Natsu wasn't going to be much help in the brains department.
"Alright Téa, Natsu, let's get going," Dylan said to Téa and Natsu.
"You might want to bring someone else with you, just in case," Makarov said to Dylan.
"But who?" Téa asked.
"I'll go," Gray said as he walks forward.
"The ice stripper, I doubt it will help, Gray would probably get beaten up by Dylan again," Natsu said.
"You want a icicle right up your ass," Gray said to Natsu in a threatening tone.
"Bring it on," Natsu said as he was ready to beat up Gray.
Then, Téa grab Natsu and Gray by their ears and squeeze them, causing the guys to whimper in pain.
Fifteen seconds later, Téa let go of Natsu and Gray's ears as they rub them a bit.
"You two are so immature," Téa said to Natsu and Gray in an annoyed tone.
"Come on, let's get going," Dylan said to Téa as he gets off his seat and race to the front door.
Ten minutes later, Dylan and Téa were in the truck and back on the road, this time with Natsu and Gray in the backseats. Up in the middle front seat was Natsu's cat buddy, Happy, who tagged along with them.
"You sure you didn't want me to fly Natsu to Kemptville?" Happy asked Dylan.
"Having a flying cat carrying a guy in a county like this would bring too much attention," Dylan said.
"And this is," Téa said as they look to see Natsu with his head out of the right passenger side window, puking his guts out.
"Damn you motion sickness," Natsu said in anger and in sickness.
"Yeah it doesn't help either," Dylan said.
"Ha, not so tough," Gray said to Natsu.
"Shut up," Natsu said to Gray in anger.
"So far is this Kemptville?" Téa asked Dylan.
"About eighty to ninety minutes, give or take the traffic," Dylan said.
"Why start in Kemptville?" Téa asked Dylan.
"It's the further of the three," Dylan said.
"And since the GPS will lead us to the town, I'm gonna take a quick sleep," Dylan said and then he closes his eyes, taking a nap.
Happy then crawls over to Dylan's lap and rests on it, going to sleep as well.
"Aww so cute," Téa said as she liked the scene.
"I wish I can see it," Natsu complained.
Eighty-five minutes, the group made it to Kemptville as they were looking around in a park for the gem.
"Is has to be here somewhere," Téa said as she looks under the bench.
"Why can't we go into a store to look?" Natsu asked Dylan.
"Knowing you and Gray, it would lead to destruction and I don't want a store to be damaged because of you two," Dylan said to Natsu and Gray.
"Oh come on, we won't do that," Gray said.
"Yeah like I buy that, I would also believe that The Usos are the best tag team in the world," Dylan said sarcastically.
"Who are The Usos, never mind," Natsu said.
After an hour of searching, the group couldn't find the gem anywhere, they looked in the grass, in a pond, even in some trash cans, hell even Happy looked through a jungle gym and couldn't find it.
"Aye, no sign of it," Happy said.
"Well it's not here, let's try another park," Dylan said as they head to another park.
Unfortunately for the group, they couldn't find the gem in the other park as Téa was driving everyone to Smiths Falls.
"You sure we can't look in a store together?" Gray asked Dylan as Natsu was once again feeling motion sick.
"No, it would draw a lot of attention to us, plus I don't want the town getting destroyed by you or Natsu," Dylan said to Gray in a serious tone.
"Fine, you are such a buzzkill sometimes," Gray said to Dylan.
"Hey, I'm following the rules and I don't want to go to prison because of you or Natsu," Dylan said to Gray.
"I just hope Smiths Falls will be our last stop and we don't have to go into Perth," Téa said.
Forty minutes later, the group had made it back to Smiths Falls and were looking in another park for the gem. But it wasn't looking good for them.
"I can't find it," Natsu said.
"Where the hell could it be?" Téa asked herself.
"It shouldn't be hard, it's a gem it should be shiny, but the only shiny things I'm seeing is idiots tossing their freaking soda cans around," Dylan said as the last part was in anger.
"I don't know where in this place it could be located," Gray said as Téa notices Gray was in his underwear.
"For the love of god, please put some clothes on," Téa said in anger to Gray.
"Oh geez," Gray said as he quickly puts his clothes back on.
"There is one small park near the water, it has to be there," Dylan said.
Fifty minutes later, the group was in the small park and they just finished searching. Yet again, they didn't find anything and Natsu was getting very pissed off.
"Oh come on, why can't we find the stupid thing," Natsu said in anger.
"I really wanted to destroy something," Natsu said as Dylan wasn't going to allow it.
"Don't you fucking dare," Dylan said in anger to Natsu.
"You do that and I won't be happy," Dylan said to Natsu.
"Dylan, calm down a bit," Téa said to Dylan as she gives him a soft hug.
After fifteen seconds, Dylan was now calm as Téa breaks off the hug.
"There, much better," Dylan said in a calm tone.
"It would be better if we know what it looked like," Gray said.
"Aye, Natsu's vague description doesn't help us," Happy said.
Then, Natsu realize something important and that he forgot to tell the others.
"Oh wait, I have something that might help us," Natsu said as he pulls something out of his famed scarf.
Natsu pulls out a piece of paper and then he unfolds it. The other look over to see it was a photo of a gem, it was white and looked like a clove of garlic.
"Please tell me that's the gem we are looking for," Dylan said to Natsu.
"It is, I forgot I had a photo of it with me," Natsu said with a smile on his face.
"You had a photo and you forgot it," Gray said to Natsu as he was looking to beat him to a pulp.
"You idiot," Téa said to Natsu in anger and starts to smack him on top of his head repeatedly.
"That's Natsu for ya," Happy said to Téa as Téa continues to beat him up.
Fifteen seconds later, Dylan gives out one loud clap as this cause Téa to stop beating up Natsu.
"Forget about that, we know what it looks like, if we head into Perth and I head into a grocery store, I might find it," Dylan said to Téa.
"Really?" Téa asked Dylan.
"Yeah it seems far fetched," Happy said.
"Someone might have thought it was a garlic clove and got shipped there," Dylan said.
"Then what happens if it's not?" Gray asked Dylan.
"We'll drive back to Kemptville and Smiths Falls and check out each grocery store, they must have it in there," Dylan said.
"Oh god I hope you're right," Gray said to Dylan in an annoyed tone.
Fifty minutes later, the group made it back to Perth as Dylan first checked Metro to find the gem, but he couldn't find it the batch of garlic.
Soon, the others were waiting in the parking lot of the Independent as Dylan was inside, searching for the gem.
"I hope to god it is here," Natsu said.
"I think Dylan is an idiot to think of that idea," Gray said.
"Hey Dylan isn't an idiot and talk like that again, you'll face your worst nightmare, me," Téa said to Gray in a threatening tone as Gray was a little bit scared of her.
"Okay," Gray said as he didn't want to piss off Téa.
"Wow she is like Erza when she is mad," Gray said.
"Tell me about," Natsu said to Gray.
Ten minutes later, Dylan walks up to the driver's side of the truck as Téa rolls down the window.
"No luck?" Téa asked Dylan.
"No, I searched through all of the cloves and nothing," Dylan said.
"Looks like we'll have to head back to Kemptville," Téa said as Natsu and Gray groaned a bit over having to go back to the beginning.
"Damn it," Natsu said in anger.
"I don't know where else we can look without drawing a lot of attention," Dylan said to the others.
"Do you want to go to the festival?" This female voice asked as Dylan tells the others to be quiet.
Dylan looks over to see two girls talking fifteen away from them.
"Yeah I can't believe it's been a whole year but the Garlic Festival is here," one of the women said.
"Oh I can't wait to taste some of these dishes," the other woman said as Dylan knew where they needed to go.
"Oh my god, I know where to go," Dylan said as he races over to the front passenger's seat.
"What?" Téa asked in confusion as Dylan hops back into the seat and buckles it up, followed up by closing the door.
"Head to the fairgrounds please, I'll explain on the way," Dylan said to Téa.
Téa then pulls out of the mini mall parking lot and driving back into town.
"Dylan, what's going on?" Téa asked Dylan.
"If this gem looks like a clove of garlic, then it could be at the Perth Garlic Festival," Dylan said.
"Garlic Festival?" Gray asked in confusion.
"Is that a real thing?" Natsu asked Dylan.
"Yes it is and it is one of the largest in the world," Dylan said.
"So you're saying it should be there," Téa said to Dylan.
"Oh I hope so," Dylan said.
Ten minutes later, they made it to the Perth Fairgrounds as Dylan paid for them to get inside.
Once Téa parks the truck, the group exit the truck as Happy was left in the bed of the truck.
"Now Happy, be good while we find the gem," Natsu said to Happy.
"Aye," Happy said in an enthusiastic tone.
The group then walk along the fairgrounds as they see the numerous food tastings, wine tastings, crafts, musicians on the stage, stuff for the kids, and the smell of thousands of garlic cloves.
"Man it smells garlicky," Téa said as she puts her hands over her nose and mouth.
"Yeah, it's strong," Natsu said as he wasn't used to the strong smell.
"This is my first time being here, but I have been around garlic before and I'm used to the smell of it," Dylan said.
"Okay, we'll split up and cover more ground," Dylan said to the others.
"Break," Dylan said as the group go on their separate ways.
Téa was looking around the stage area and the piles of garlic that was displayed around the area.
"It should be easy, look for a gem, it is bright," Téa said as she couldn't find the gem in the pile.
"Man it is like looking for a needle in a haystack, except this would drive you more crazy," Téa said as she continues to look around.
Meanwhile, Gray was looking around at the beer and wine tasting area as he couldn't find the gem.
"This is so hard and doesn't help with all of these people here," Gray said as people continue to bump into him.
Gray continue to looks around until he finds a free sample area with numerous shot glasses filled with drinks.
"Well I need something after this," Gray said as he picks up a glass and chugs the drink down.
"Well since this is free," Gray said as he chugs down another glass.
Meanwhile, Natsu was busy looking around the crafts and piles of garlic as he was starting to get hungry.
"Oh god, I wish we can find this stupid gem so I can eat," Natsu complained.
Then, Natsu sees a sign that reads "Garlic Eating Contest" on it.
"Well I hope the others don't mind if I take a snack break," Natsu said as he walks towards that area.
Meanwhile, Dylan was looking around at the fairgrounds and the vendors very carefully, but even he couldn't find any sight of the gem.
"Damn, this gem is proving to be tricky to find," Dylan said as he was continuing to look around.
"The different between the gem and a clove of garlic is the brightness and it should be smooth," Dylan said as he feels a clove of garlic.
"Oh god I hope the others had found it," Dylan said.
Meanwhile, Natsu was at the garlic eating contest as he was shoving numerous cloves of garlic at a fast pace.
"Oh yes, now I'm getting my energy back," Natsu thought as he continues to eat garlic.
Meanwhile, Téa was looking at the vendors and the area where a birds of prey show was happening.
"Those birds are not helping with my search and not finding the gem is getting me more angry," Téa thought as she continues to look around.
Meanwhile, Gray was still drinking away at the free samples as he didn't care about looking for the gem at this point.
Two and a half hours later, Dylan and Téa gather back at the center of the fairgrounds as they couldn't find the gem.
"No luck?" Dylan asked Téa.
"Nope, trying to find a gem that looks like a garlic clove in a festival like this is not an easy task," Téa said.
Téa then looks down to see Dylan was munching away on a garlic baguette.
"Really, you had to get garlic bread," Téa said to Dylan in an annoyed tone.
"Hey, I'm hungry and I like garlic bread, this was my only chance to get something like this," Dylan said as he continues to eat away.
Then, Gray walks over to Dylan and Téa as he was a little bit out of it.
"Didn't find the gem Gray?" Téa asked Gray.
"Ohhhh fuck no, I couldn't, I couldn't find that fuckkking thing," Gray said as his speech was slurred.
Téa then smell Gray's breath and could tell that something was off with it.
"Do you drink alcohol?" Téa asked Gray.
"I have a bunch of free samples, don't get your panties in a twist," Gray said to Téa as Téa was getting a bit angry.
Soon, Dylan realize what the free samples Gray was talking about.
"Those free samples were samples of wine and beer, and Gray had enough to make him drunk off his ass," Dylan said as he couldn't believe it.
"Oh you are a fucking boner killer you know that, a fucking boner killer," Gray said to Dylan in a drunken state.
"That's just the booze talking," Dylan said as he continues to munch away on his baguette.
Dylan soon was three quarters through his baguette until he found something very odd, which Téa notices it.
"What's the matter Dylan?" Téa asked Dylan.
"There is something inside here," Dylan said as he digs into the baguette with his hands.
"A full clove of garlic," Téa said.
"No way," Dylan said as he continued to dig around.
Thirty seconds later, Dylan grabs onto the thing and pulls it out. He then holds the thing in his right hand as it was the gem they were looking for.
"Oh my god," Gray said in shock.
"Holy shit," Téa said in shock as well.
"We found it, we fucking found it," Dylan said as he couldn't believe it.
"Someone must have accidentally put this into the batter and it must have baked into this baguette," Dylan said.
"Well we are so lucky to find it," Téa said as Natsu approaches them with trophy.
"Hey guys," Natsu said to the others.
"Oh Natsu, did you win something?" Téa asked Natsu.
"Yes I won a garlic eating contest, I smoked everyone," Natsu said as he sees the gem in Dylan's hands.
"Oh don't mind if I do," Natsu said as he yanks the gem out of Dylan's hands.
"NO!" Dylan, Téa, and Gray shouted to Natsu as Natsu pops the gem in his mouth and swallows it down.
"Mmm yummy," Natsu said as the others look at him in shock and anger.
"What?" Natsu asked the others.
"Natsu, you ate the gem we found," Téa said to Natsu.
"You idiot," Gray said in anger to Natsu and he punches in the face.
"Ouch," Natsu said in pain.
"I can't believe you ate it," Gray said to Natsu.
"Hey I didn't know," Natsu said as Dylan was rubbing his temples after he finished the baguette.
"Well I'm not shoving my hand down Natsu's throat, but maybe we can get it out," Dylan said as he moves his hands off his temples.
"How?" Téa asked Dylan.
"Well Natsu can puke it up, all he has to do is shove his fingers down his throat to puke, like how those models do it," Dylan said.
"Okay, maybe it is a bad example," Dylan said as that was a bit awkward for him.
"I'll try it," Natsu said.
Soon, the four were gathered around a garbage can as Natsu shove a few fingers down his throat. Unfortunately, it didn't cause Natsu to puke.
"Come on Natsu," Téa said to Natsu.
"Yeah puke it out you idiot fire brain," Gray said to Natsu.
After five minutes of trying to do it, it was no use and Natsu gave up.
"Oh crap, I can't do it guys," Natsu said to the others.
"That's fucking great," Gray said in anger.
"What else can we do?" Téa asked Dylan as Dylan didn't like this next idea one bit.
"There is one way we can get the gem out," Dylan said.
"How?" Téa asked Dylan.
"Oh we're not going to like this," Dylan said as the others looked worried.
A half an hour later, the group were gathered outside the Crystal Palace as most of the group were outside this bathroom as someone inside was screaming so loud.
"So Natsu ate the gem," Happy said.
"Yes," Dylan said.
"And this is the only other way to get it out," Happy said to Dylan.
"Without operating on him, yes," Dylan said.
"I can't believe he is shitting it out," Téa said as she was disgusted by it.
"I can and it is fun to hear him scream in pain," Gray said.
"What did you do?" Happy asked Dylan.
"I made Natsu drink this concoction to help him crap out the gem," Dylan said.
"What did you put in there?" Happy asked Dylan.
"I blended up some prunes, Miralax, and a touch of KFC and it is working," Dylan said.
"And it is a horrible sound," Téa said.
"Hey I don't like it either, but this is the only way to get it," Dylan said as he wasn't too thrilled by it either.
"I hope to god this idea of yours works," Gray said to Dylan.
Twenty minutes later, Natsu walks out of the bathroom as he looked beat.
"Oh god that felt horrible," Natsu said.
"Is the gem out?" Happy asked Natsu.
"It is and a bunch of other stuff," Natsu said.
"Oh hell no I'm not getting it out," Téa said.
"Me neither," Happy said.
"Fuck that," Gray said as they look at Dylan.
"Fine," Dylan said in a little bit anger.
Dylan then puts on rubber gloves, a gas mask, and then carries a mini shovel and a small bag.
"I'm going in," Dylan said and then he steps into the men's bathroom.
"Oh god it's horrible, the gas mask is not helping with the smell, it smells like hot fire and ass," Dylan said from the inside the bathroom.
"Hey it wasn't easy," Natsu said.
"It was your idea after all," Téa said to Dylan.
"Don't remind me," Dylan said in anger from the bathroom.
Three hours later, the group arrived back at the Fairy Tail guild as Natsu puts the now clean gem in front of Makarov.
"So you found it," Makarov said to the group.
"Oh we did gramps, wasn't an easy feat but we manage to locate it," Natsu said.
"Yeah speak for yourself," Dylan said to Natsu as Gray was laying down in the bench, sleeping away.
"Where did you find it?" Makarov asked Dylan.
"For the love of god, you don't want to know," Dylan said to Makarov in a serious tone.
"I'm just glad I found a bunch of cleaning solutions to clean it up good as new, and to make sure no one it came out of Natsu's other hole," Dylan said to Téa quietly.
"You four did a great job, I'll notify the owner that you found it," Makarov said to the group as he picks up the gem and walks away.
"Alright, first time I did a job request that didn't involve destruction," Natsu said in an excited tone and then he turns to face Dylan.
"Hey Dylan, sorry about not getting the reward," Natsu said to Dylan.
"It's okay, I got myself my own reward," Dylan said as he looks over to Téa as Téa blushes a bit.
Later on it was nighttime as Dylan and Téa made it back to the mansion as Téa was talking to the girls in the living room.
"What a minute, the gem looked like garlic?" Nami asked Téa.
"Yes I didn't believe it either," Téa said.
"I can't believe Natsu would forget he had a photo of it," Botan (wearing a yellow polo shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers) said.
"No I would see it," Meredy (wearing a red long sleeve shirt, black biker shorts, and red fuzzy ankle-length boots) said.
"So where did it end up?" Nico Robin (wearing a black cowboy hat, white t-shirt with a black jacket over it, black jeans, and black knee-high boots) asked Téa.
"For your sanity and to keep down your lunch, you don't want to know," Téa said to Robin in a serious tone.
"Got it," Robin said.
"I'm just glad Dylan was able to help out," Téa said.
"Speaking of Dylan, where is he?" Secre Swallowtail (wearing a black t-shirt with grey claw marks on it, black dolphin shorts with a white trim, and black high-top sneakers) asked Téa.
"I'll go check," Téa said as she gets off the couch.
Soon, Téa walks into Dylan's den as she sees the bedroom and bathroom doors open and the sound of water running and some scrubbing.
"Oh god I can still feel the shit, I got it off, but it feels like I still have it on my hands and arms," Dylan said from the bathroom as he was furiously washing his hands and arms, apparently even after cleaning them from the gem pick up, he still felt like there was stuff on them.
Soon, Téa makes it back to the living room and sits down on the couch.
"He's busy," Téa said to Secre.
"Well I'm just glad for him to get out of the house a bit, beside finding girls," Nami said.
"Yeah he is an introvert, but a gentle loving introvert," Robin said.
"One last thing, what did Dylan do cause he looked like he saw a ghost?" Nami asked Téa.
"I'll say it again, for your sanity, you don't want to know," Téa said to Nami in a very serious tone.
Meanwhile in the den, Dylan was still washing his arms and hands like crazy.
"Oh god, I'm never picking up a gem in a pile of shit again," Dylan said as he continues to scrub his hands and arms with soap.
Oh that sucks for Dylan and hopefully this won't happen again to him, I think doing that once was bad enough. Also Dylan gave Levy and Gajeel an update on the harem situation and hopefully Dylan's suggestion to Levy and Gajeel will come true to the pair.
Anyway we got another chapter coming soon and we got the sixteenth girl to be under control by a card to appear in this fic, so stay tuned.
