Once I got in, I was looking at the home page as I began looking through the laptop.
There was nothing out of the ordinary aside from notes about different monsters they had no doubt faced before, a few messages from his college friends and a set of coordinates that our next case was located in.
Nothing stood out to me as I looked through the hard drive, although he had mentioned me several times. He seemed to think I was some kind of mystery to him.
It was nice that he mentioned me at all.
I opened up the web browser and started searching for information about what happened at the lake and my near death experience.
It pointed towards the angels so it could possibly be something to do with Cas but it might've been a surge of chemicals in my brain due to lack of oxygen since I almost died.
I should be more scared than I was but I wasn't. They saved my life and it would be anticlimactic for me to die so early on in my career and it doesn't make sense from a writer's perspective. I knew I was safe with the Winchesters and I would have their back through it all.
This place, this life was starting to feel like home.
And I knew that Chuck wouldn't let his precious characters die and that's why they will always come back from the dead, so I think the same logic applies to me. I really wanted Castiel around. I didn't want to wait years to meet him, for him to be in our lives so I considered praying to him or calling up Pamela to do the seance early… but I also don't want her eyeballs to burn out of her head.
I mostly want Cas and Dean to be together. If I need to play matchmaker then so be it. I will go down with this ship.
I tried to think back to the case we're on, something about bloody Mary? Turns out to be a vengeful spirit but how did they get rid of the ghost?
Obviously by burning the remains or whatever is trying them to this plane of existence, rendering her unable to move on.
If anyone has a secret and someone died as a result of that secret then she kills them. I worry that I might be next. To the ghost it doesn't matter if they meant for that person to die. Or am I thinking of another case?
I meant his ex no harm, but I didn't tell him that the yellow eyed demon was going to kill his girlfriend in the same manner as their mother.
That was a dick move to let him go back into a burning building that I knew was going to catch on fire but what was I supposed to do?
He survived though, he'll get over it. It's not like she was in the show very often, she's a plot device. Just one of the people that die every episode.
My phone buzzed in my pocket so I picked it up to check my messages and realized that someone had texted me.
"I hope you are okay," someone texted me.
"Who is this?" I asked.
"Castiel."
I heard the rustling of feathers and somehow knew that he was behind me. I couldn't help it, I turned around and gave him the biggest hug, taking in his scent as I felt the material of the familiar trench coat.
He smelled like honey and the smell of dust after rain.
"Why are you squeezing me with your body?" He asked.
"It's called a hug, and I am excited to meet you. My name is Williams, Rebecca Williams."
"We've met," he reminded me.
"I know."
"Do you want me to stay?" He asked.
"would you?" I asked.
"Yes."
He laughed and hugged me. "I'm just kidding. God, you used to be so gullible. I'm from 2020, I know what a hug is."
I hugged him back, "What do you mean by that?"
"You're not the only one who is a time traveler."
I nodded, that made sense.
"I don't know how I got here but I think it had something to do with Jack."
"Jack?"
"Yeah, Jack Kline. Lucifer's son. God."
"Oh right," I said as I kissed him on the cheek.
"I'll take care of Bloody Mary. I will salt and burn her remains, but first I need to speak to Dean," he said.
"Isn't this case important to the plot?"
He shook his head, "It's just a routine salt and burn. Do you know where I can find Dean?"
"Yeah, he might be at the diner on third street," I told him. "He's definitely somewhere in town."
"I'll be back later," he said to me as he walked out the door. I stared after him, surprised by this turn of events.
But I decided to follow him into the diner to see Dean.
Castiel walked across the street as I followed behind him to the diner to look for Dean and Sam. The air outside was crisp as I stepped out of the motel room and down the street, close behind, and there was a slight breeze as we crossed the street.
It was sunny out with skies of blue, and we came to a Charming diner with a vintage vibe. Or had a black and white tiled floor, and the classic red vinyl seats. Music blasted from a jukebox.
I didn't remember this from the episode, but in the episode Castiel wasn't there but he's here now.
Dean was sitting in the booth closest to the door, so he looked up at us as we walked in.
"I called my "angel friend", Dean," I said.
"No way," he said in disbelief.
"I am Castiel," he introduced himself.
"So I've heard," he said.
He scooted over and I sat next to him while Cas was sitting across from him, surveying him with what looked like trust and appreciation.
"I'm going to finish off the ghost for you," he said.
"It's a ghost?" Dean asked.
"Yes, obviously," Cas said.
Well at least he didn't try to stab him this time.
"You have no idea how much I have missed you," Cas said.
"Pal, I've never met you."
"You will," he said. "I'm a time traveler like Rebecca, from the year 2020, or somewhere between 2020 and 2023… we were best friends, will be best friends. And I don't know what I would do without you. I… loved you. I do love you."
To my pleasant surprise, Dean winked at him, "is that right, buttercup? Are you free after the hunt?"
"Yes."
"Good, because I'll take you to the movies," Dean suggested.
"I'd like that," Cas said.
He smiled at Dean and nodded.
"I guess it's a date," I chimed in. "I'm so proud, my baby boy's all growed up."
"Are you talking about me?" He asked.
I nodded. "Originally you never met Cas until season 4 but he's here now so the timelines must have deviated, but in a good way."
"I will never forget the day I gripped you tight and raised you from perdition," Cas said.
"What's that mean?"
"One day I will rescue you from hell, " Cas said. "I don't know if I should tell you this yet but hell is trying to bring back Lucifer, the yellow eyed demon that forces infants to drink demon blood. You sold your soul to save your brother's life, you went to hell but I rescued you."
Dean turned to me, "Why didn't you tell us about this? What else are you hiding?"
"If you wanted to know then you should have asked me," I said. "He's a demon by the name of Azazel who is building an army of special children, children that have powers due to him making babies drink demon blood. I wasn't lying when I said I do not know where your father is but you will find him and you will defeat Azazel, it's only a matter of time."
"They want you to go to hell because they want you to break the seal. The seal will be broken when a righteous man sheds blood in hell," Castiel explained to him.
I leaned over to Cas to say to him, "you do realize that if Lucifer never leaves the cage your son would have never been born, right?"
"Oh don't go off on me with that "I can fix him" stuff," Cas said to me.
I was taken aback, I never said I could fix Lucifer.
"You have a point though," Castiel realized.
"This is nuts," Dean said to me skeptically. "You are off your rocker."
"What she's saying is true," Castiel confirmed.
"Lucifer is coming to earth? How? Like the apocalypse? Armageddon?" Dean asked.
"Essentially, yes," I said. "I thought you should know what you're in for."
"Are we still going on that date?" Cas asked him.
"Sure, angel," Dean said.
"Then Cas can tell you all about it," I said. "I need a drink anyway."
"Then you should ask Sam out for a drink," he said to me, but nonetheless motioned the waitress over and ordered a beer for me.
"I'm pretty sure that her soul is trapped in a mirror, or a painting. I don't think salting and burning the corpse will work," I said.
"You think?"
"There's this case about a ghost who kills people that keep secrets that result in someone's death but I haven't watched this one in a while."
"This is real life, not some show," he said.
"It's also a book series, but I know it's real. I know it's not a dream because you don't usually feel pain in dreams, I would have woken up because your brain never lets you die in a dream either," I said.
"I know how dreaming works," he said.
Is no one going to mention that poor scared girl getting targeted by the ghost?
The one whose boyfriend killed himself. Now Mary wants to kill her.

Unlike in the show I heard the door buckle as Cas kicked it down, walking into a room absolutely full of mirrors.
"Well, that's just great," Dean said. "All right let's start looking." There was a flashing light that looked like it was part of an alarm.
"Maybe they already sold it," Dean said.
"It's definitely here," I said.
"What she said," said Cas.
Sam said the chant into the mirror as we tried to corral her back into the original mirror so Cas could smash it.
Then he spotted her as she began blaming him for her death. "You never told her the truth. She doesn't even know who you truly are. You had dreams for weeks of Jessica, screaming and burning on the ceiling like your mother but you were so afraid of those dreams that you ignored it. You knew it was going to happen and you did nothing, you dreamt about it, you dreamt that it would happen!"
"You might want to cover your ears," Castiel said to them before opening his mouth and letting his true voice be heard, which broke every mirror in the vicinity and then some.
"Let's get the hell out of dodge before the cops get here," I suggested, and we ran…
—-
"So this is really over? He's an angel?" She asked.
"Yes, to both questions," Dean said.
She shook his hand with a word of thanks.
Sam spoke up, looking earnest, "Your boyfriend's death...you really should try to forgive yourself. No matter what you did, you probably couldn't have stopped it. Sometimes bad things just happen."
I watched Charlie walk away from us, Dean turned to Sam.
"Dean, Look...you're my brother and I'd die for you, but there are some things I need to keep to myself, " he said, getting into the Impala.
Dean said, "I already know the secret you've been trying to hide, and we'll get through this, Sammy. We always do."
This seemed to reassure him but he looked at him like he wondered what he meant. "I can't believe we met an angel," Sam said as Cas opened the door to the back seat and got in.
"Well, believe it buttercup," I said brightly, getting in next to him.
"No, if anything, Sam is bubbles."
"What are you making him sit in the back seat for?" He asked his brother.
"Oh, so feathers gets shotgun?"
"Yeah, because he's mine, apparently," he said.
"What does that even mean?" He asked.
"It means get your butt in the back so Cas can sit up front," Dean said.
Sam huffed and got out of the car to sit in the back seat beside me. Yay, I get to sit next to Sam Winchester!
I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear, apparently the excitement showed on my face because he smiled back at me.
He peered out the window, and I wondered if he still saw Jessica standing there in the distance as we drove away but we seemed to be in better spirits.
Dean and Cas were on their way to the movie theater, while I planned to hit the bar with Sam like Dean suggested.
As they went to the movie theater, we made our way to a small bar, although it looked more like a tavern with a welcoming atmosphere. The place smelled like beer and peanuts, which my brain has come to associate with the color of the stuff.
"Do you want anything to drink?" I asked, pulling out my wallet.
"I've got it this time," he said as we sat down at the bar together. "I'll get you one of those tequila sunrises that you like."
"Haha Sam, if I drink tequila I'll be coming home in a table cloth," I laughed.
"That's sweet from a country song," he said, before getting the bartender's attention. "A beer and a tequila sunrise, add an extra shot of tequila in there."
I laughed, this should be good.
"I can't remember if I've asked you this before or not, but do you have any brothers and sisters?" He asked.
"Yes, I come from a big family. Three brothers and a sister," I told him. "Their names were Jackson, Credence, and Alex, my sister's name is Tessa," I said. "But as the days go on, you guys have started to feel like home."
"Really?" He asked.
"Of course, you saved my life," I thanked him. "I would be dead if not for you guys."
"I couldn't just let you die," he shrugged.
"Well, either way, thank you. "
"You're very welcome." I drank my tequila sunrise and leaned back in the chair, the pleasant warmth spreading through me.
"Can I have a hug?" I asked him.
He smiled at me and nodded, giving me a hug. I hugged him tight and it was nice feeling his arms around me.
"Thank you," I smiled back at him as we sat there drinking together. He bought me a few more tequila sunrises until I felt so calm and relaxed as I realized that I was missing an earring.
He laughed and held it up, "how's that for tequila makes her clothes fall off?"
"You're funny."
He looked at me as he glanced at my lips and then back to my eyes. I closed my eyes, tilting my head as his lips met mine.
It was nice, the way his lips felt against mine as we kissed, his tongue snaking into my mouth as I held his face in my hands.
I felt a tingly feeling running down my spine as our lips moved in sync with one another. He is a really good kisser. I guess he lives up to the hype.
I'm not sure how long the kiss was but I didn't want it to end. I wanted to freeze this moment in time and keep it forever.
He held my hand as his other hand reached out to cup my neck as we locked lips.
Eventually the kiss came to an end but he rested his forehead against mine as he brought my hand to his lips and kissed it.
"I like you," he said. "I was hoping that you felt the same way about me?"
I giggled a little bit. "I've had a crush on you since I laid eyes on you, Sam… hell, even before I met you, I thought you were cute."
"Well thank you, I'm going to take that as a compliment."
"It was a compliment," I smiled at him as he gave me another peck on the lips.
We had another round, taking the time to enjoy each other's company. I told him more about myself and my life before them like he asked.
He stretched, wrapping his arm around my shoulder, and I leaned my head against his shoulder.
I would treasure this moment so much.
I shrugged out of my jacket and placed it on the bar. "I do really like you too," I told him.
"I'm glad."
"I think that Castiel has a thing for Dean."
"Ynes, he does. He's in love with Dean actually, " I confirmed. "I don't think they would be going on a date if Dean didn't like him back."
"I just want my brother to be happy," he said.
"Me too… Sam, I know that you dreamed about Jessica's death before it happened, I know that you can see the future, I know all of it. You're special and you're destined for so much more than you could ever imagine."
"So, is this what you wanted to talk about? " He asked.
"Kinda. And I wanted to spend time with you… I just wanted to say that if you ever want to talk about it, I'm here for you."
"Thanks."
We spent time together drinking and making m slemerry as I realized that at this point I was smashed. We walked the short distance to the motel we were staying at. We were kissing as he unlocked the door, stumbling over to the bed.
"Well, well, well," I heard the voice of Dean.
Sam looked up at him, surprised, "I didn't think you'd be here. Where's the angel?"
"Asleep in my bed," Dean replied, pointing to the sleeping angel. Did angels even sleep? Is he weakened or something? The only time I knew of him sleeping was when he was human.
I saw his various articles of clothing around the room, his trench coat was on the floor and his tie was hanging from the lamp. Dean was laying there topless, as was Cas.
