The next day, Oliver Queen grinned.
"A whole new day!" Oliver Queen says as his friends woke up around the room, except for Hal, who was snoring loudly. "A day about me and my friends!"
He looked around and just smiled. It was a big day for all of them.
Meanwhile, Lucy wrapped her leg with bandages.
"I'm heading out." Lucy says.
"Okay." Lola says, not caring.
"Girls, I have to head to the marina to get things ready for later." Charity says. "Luna is in charge while I'm out."
They nod as Charity left.
Savannah was baking when a silhouette of Lucy appeared.
"Stay back!" Savannah says.
"I swear, if you touch her, we have your mom on speed dial." Viney warned.
Lucy growled and stormed off.
Meanwhile, Jack smiled. "Ah, tonight…a new season for my show." Jack says.
"Why did you schedule it at the same time as that Freedom Fest On The Sea thing? You know a lot of people are going to that." Alex said.
"To promote these Freedom Fest toys." Jack says as Lucy spies on them.
Luna appeared before her as Lucy gulped.
"Are you serious right now? Why do you have to protect Luke from every person that he encounters now?" Luna says. "Lucy, this is going too far. WAY too far. You need to stop this. They are not a threat to him. They never were a threat to him. And if you try anything stupid, be it tonight or any other time, Mom will not be happy with you!"
Lucy screamed and ran off. But Luna caught her.
"ENOUGH! The overprotectiveness is going to stop, here and now!" Luna snapped. "And if you try to run again, there will be consequences. And let Luke grow up!"
"Luke's the only one who treats me well." Lucy says.
"But you're being too overprotective of him. Please, just let him grow up and have a life, okay?" Luna says.
"I can't. What if someone ruins his birthday or event?" Lucy says.
"You're not the only one he can turn to." Luna says.
"Without Luke, I have nothing!" Lucy sobbed.
Meanwhile, Jessica tries to make Tina a half-birthday breakfast as it went wrong.
Beau smiled at this and decided to help. Jessica looks down as Beau patted her back reassuringly. Luckily, Tina was still asleep.
With the boys, they were all at the breakfast table with Oliver Queen on his throne. The breakfast spread was themed around the 4th of July, which was today. Luke ate some blueberry pancakes.
"So, Ollie-boy, tell us, what is the plan for your big performance later?" Hal asked, eating a second helping of the red, white, and blue fruit parfait the Queens' chefs made.
He explained as the boys hung on to his every word.
Meanwhile, Lucy comes home and cries as Lola and Lisa leave Lucy. They knew Luna had put her foot down and stopped the overprotective behavior.
Lori comes for a visit and sees Lucy crying.
"Lucy, what's wrong?" Lori asked.
"Luna got mad at me…" Lucy sniffed.
"Why?" Lori asked.
"I let my overprotective ways show again and I almost hurt people that Luke trusts." Lucy sniffed.
Lori was stunned. She couldn't believe this.
Charity was with Gabriel, decorating the boat and setting up for Freedom Fest On The Sea. There were pictures of the boys, but there were a lot more red, white, and blue decorations as this was a 4th of July celebration.
Meanwhile, Tina was walking around. Beau had gotten her an interview on the news as she was surprised.
At Queen Manor, the boys were getting ready. Oliver Queen carefully pulled out the outfit he had made for this day. He smiled at it as the guys admired it.
"Oliver, you're going to look awesome!" Barry says.
"I agree! You did a great job!" Hal said as Oliver Queen smiled.
"The question is, what do we wear for our group performance during this event?" Shane asked.
"Leni made us costumes for that and the semifinals." Luke says.
"Oh, the semifinals show is going to have two rounds. Broadway is first, then a freestyle round. So we have to plan those routines accordingly." Shane says.
"We have to win." Oliver Queen says. "No exceptions."
"Absolutely." Hal says.
Melony was relaxing, holding her trophy from last season. She knew her team was in the semifinals, but the pressure was definitely on. Just because the show would be in their home city, it didn't exactly give them an advantage.
She frowned as she knew the whole world loved Luke and his friends. It was clear the Musibros were going to win this and she felt the pressure of some people who hated her for being born. Sure she had a tough face, but she was still a 14 year old teenager who was a bit insecure. Sure, she won before the show changed its name, but fans called it a fluke.
"Melony?" Kylie asked.
"I think we should drop out. You guys should support Luke and his friends." Melony says. But Cedric got mad.
"I mean we literally have no chance. It's either we drop out or you guys perform without me." Melony says.
"Melony, no. We can't drop out of the semifinals." Garrett says.
"You have no idea what I go through." Melony says as Kylie feels bad.
"FINE. WE'LL DROP OUT. JUST TO MAKE YOU HAPPY." Cedric says as he stormed out. Roland ran after Cedric.
"Melony, we know what you've been through, honestly. But we're all under pressure in one way or another. You aren't the only one dealing with stressful stuff." Kylie says, holding Melony.
"That's fair." Melony says.
Later, everyone met at the town marina as Freedom Fest On The Sea was going to begin soon.
Lisa sees Beau, who was there with Tina and her sister, Jessica. Jessica waved shyly as she still had speech impediments.
"Hi, Beau." Lisa says, blushing.
"Hey, Lis." Beau says, getting an American flag cookie for himself from one of the dessert tables. "How have you been?"
"Fine, I suppose. How about you?" Lisa says.
"Great, I can't complain. Still performing on stage and all. Me and Beatrix are literally making a name for ourselves." Beau says.
The boys were exploring the party as the boat was now moving. Barry admired the triple-tiered red, white, and blue velvet cake that the Meyers Family Bakery made for this event. It was a sweet sight to behold.
Hal took a sip of Coke as he also had a hot dog to eat. Garth was in the pool, working on his moves.
Shane was sitting with Diana as they chatted about stuff. Luke and Oliver Queen were both walking around with Zee and enjoying the ocean view from the boat.
Melony groaned. She only agreed to be here for Garrett and the others' sake. Garrett was standing with his dad, talking and laughing.
Melony looked around to see if she saw anyone she knew. The cosmic buddies weren't there. They didn't want to be there.
She felt like the odd one out.
Lincoln and his friends explore the party. They were amazed at the work that was put into this.
"Amazing!" Stella says.
"I hear the music lineup is awesome!" Rusty says.
Meanwhile, there were a bunch of people at Jack's show. He was promoting toys for his new movie as he had a role in a Joker movie.
With Luke, he watched his mom go on the stage. He knew the Musibros would go on before the fireworks. There was a lot lined up for the music portion of this event, even Oliver Queen's big solo performance.
Charity smiled as she soon spoke. "Ladies and gentlemen, I welcome you all to this year's Freedom Fest On The Sea! We have quite the performance schedule lined up for your listening pleasure! So, I would like to present the first performance tonight, a band after my own heart, The Hot Slice Experience!" Charity says as the crowd cheered wildly.
Cuphead, Mugman, Mona, Art, and Deco took the stage and began performing "Courtesy Of The Red, White, And Blue" by Toby Keith. Luke and the boys couldn't help but sing and dance along, and Hal loved this song as it kind of reminded him of his dad. Everyone cheered as they finished.
"Wasn't that amazing, everyone?" Charity says. "For our second musical act of the evening, I would like to present quintuplets who take the whole world by storm magically and 8phenomenally with their performances! Presenting the Fox Quintuplets!"
The crowd cheered as the Foxes came on stage in their American flag-inspired costumes. They then began their performance of "Made In America" by Toby Keith.
Later, everyone was chatting. But it wasn't the end of the performances for the evening. This was a break. They were excited for Luke and his friends to perform.
After the break, Beau and Beatrix did a beautiful rendition of "American Soldier" by Toby Keith as a tribute to the troops. They moved the crowd to tears. Tina clapped for them as they finished.
Oliver Queen was backstage. He was excited, but he was feeling nervous.
"We got this." Luke says.
"I'm nervous about my solo performance…" Oliver Queen says.
"You can do it! You're the best performer in the universe, next to Luke." Garth says.
"We'll cheer you on!" Luke says as Oliver Queen smiled.
Atticus was there, but he was in the crowd. He had nothing better to do, so he came to see the musical performances.
Meanwhile, Jack was still having his show when he noticed Money Bone hosting a better show. People went to tune in as Jack glared.
"Is that a golden Dry Bones?" Alem tuber asked.
"Lately, other universes have been coming here." Alex says " like Cuphead and Mugman to Kat and Ana."
Meanwhile, the Musibros were preparing to perform. They had quite a performance planned.
"And now, before the highlight performance of this event, I thought it would be appropriate to include the group he is part of. I would like to present to you all…THE MUSIBROS!" Charity says as the crowd cheered very loudly.
Girls screamed when the boys appeared, and some fainted from overexposure to them.
They then went into their performance of "It's America" by Rodney Atkins as the crowd sang along and some people even danced.
It was trending online with the hashtag "#TheMusibrosLoveAmerica". The boys finished with a pose as the entire crowd went wild for them.
Later, Oliver Queen breathes deeply as he prepares for his solo performance. He stared at his reflection as he fixed his hair..
"You've got this." Atticus says.
"You're going to do great out there!" Hal says as Oliver Queen smiled.
Soon, Charity went to prepare his entrance.
"And now, the highlight of this star-spangled event. It gives me great pleasure to present the star who will shine brighter than the fireworks tonight! Presenting, the star-spangled performer who charms the pants off us all, Oliver Queen!" Charity says as the crowd and Oliver Queen's parents cheer. The other Musibros were in the front row to watch their friend's performance.
Oliver Queen appeared on a screen. "Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Oliver Queen. If there's one thing I love about America, it's that we're all part of this great nation, working together, making memories, and sharing our love for each other. The song I want to sing tonight expresses my love for this great country."
The screen then goes up and Oliver Queen appears in plain view behind a digitalized American flag backdrop. He then begins to sing "God Bless The USA" by Lee Greenwood, moving swiftly across the stage. As he sings, pictures of people showing their love for each other and America flash on the backdrop.
The crowd was in awe of this and the Musibros were impressed with how well he was doing. Moira recorded this and Robert took lots of pictures. Atticus clapped.
Soon, he finished as tons of fireworks went off in the background. "Happy 4th of July, everyone!" Oliver Queen smiled as the crowd cheered wildly.
Meanwhile, Money Bone was running his casino when Jack tossed a pie at him and laughed as Icepick shot an ice ball, freezing him.
Meanwhile…
"Way to go!" Hal says. Oliver Queen smiled as he was on his throne.
Beau gives Tina new earrings for her half-birthday. "Aw, thanks!" Tina says.
"You're welcome!" Beau says. Lisa kissed Beau as he blushed a bit.
