Rose was getting things ready when Jayne walked in.
"Could I help?" Jayne asked as she sat her purse down. "I left work early, how many days do we get to celebrate mum like this?" Jayne asked.
Rose didn't know how to respond but needed to cover quick. "Would you mind helping me set up the counter? I need to check something in the kitchen."
Jayne nodded and took over while Rose went into the kitchen, she pulled out her cell phone and called Tiffany. "Tiff, we have a problem."
Tiffany was helping Seana get ready when she answered the phone. "What is it?"
"Jayne is here wanting to help." Rose whispered as she checked on the cake, hoping Jayne did not get a look at it.
Tiffany's eyes widened as she sat down. "I'll handle it." She ended the call and called Jayne.
Jayne answered seeing it was Tiff. "Hey, Tiff. What's up?" She asked.
"Darling, I really need your help. You see there's a dress I left at your parents and I can't go get it as I am helping your niece." Tiffany was trying to think quick.
"Can't Ethan or Annie get it?" Jayne asked.
"They both are busy. If I go over there and your daddy is there I am not going to be able to get Seana away." Tiffany replied.
Jayne knew that Tiff was right. "Don't worry, I'm on it." Jayne ended the call. "Rose, I need to go help Tiff. I'll be back as soon as I can."
Rose came back out of the kitchen. "Don't worry sweetheart, take your time." Rose smiled, happy Tiff was able to get her out of this jam.
Tiff called Holly. "Come on, pick up."
Holly answered the phone. "Tiff?"
"Holly, Jayne was at Kelly's and I had to make an excuse to get her to leave. I said I left a dress there. Cover for me." Tiffany was quick and to the point.
"You've got it. Thank you." Holly ended the call.
Tiffany looked at Seana who seemed like she wasn't phased by anything. "I can only imagine the situations your little heart is going to get into when you grow up with grandparents like yours." Tiffany laugh as she went back to fixing Seana's hair.
"Big heart." Seana corrected her.
Jayne went home to the townhouse and saw Holly all dressed up. "You look beautiful, mum. What's the occasion?" She asked as she gave her a hug.
"Thank you, your father is taking me out to dinner tonight." Holly told her wanting to keep up the guise that she didn't know what was going on.
"That's very sweet." Jayne's eyes twinkled, thinking they were going to really surprise her. "Tiff forgot something and asked if I could run it over to her."
"Okay, I'm going to go finish up my hair. I love you." Holly told her younger daughter.
"I love you too." Jayne gave her a hug.
Holly couldn't hide the sparkle in her own eye. She couldn't wait for them to surprise Ethan and Jayne both. Yes she had had a couple of birthdays with Ethan but this was going to be special.
