Third person view
Mount Justice. July 18th
"Recognized. Robin; B-01. Kid Flash; B-03" the computer said as Robin and Wally came into the cave via Zeta-Tube. They were dressed in civilian clothes as were the rest of the team. The two immediately ran up to Aqualad, Superboy, DJ and M'gann who were standing next to a large computer.
"Did you ask him?" "What did he say?" Robin and Wally asked at the same time. Aqualad smiled and looked away from the small Red Tornado icon on the screen that was approaching the base.
"He is arriving now" he said as Robin and Wally's smiles grew even larger. They then turn and ran towards the ground entrance.
"Come on then" Robin said. Aqualad and DJ ran after them excited as well. M'gann and Superboy looked at each other before following as well, M'gann flying. It had been a week since the team had been formed and their had been no talk of any kind of missions yet.
Both M'gann and Superboy live in the Mountain permanently. But everyone had their own rooms just incase there was a situation that they couldn't go home.
The ground entrance opened up and turned into a ramp as the six kids exited. Red Tornado then landed in front of them via a small tornado under his body.
"Greetings. Is there a reason you intercepted me outside the mountain?" he asked.
"We had hoped you had a mission for us" Aqualad said.
"Mission assignments are the Batman's responsibility" he said simply. Now Robin stepped forwards.
"But it's been over a week and nothing-" "You will be tested soon enough" Red Tornado interrupted rasing a hand stopping the boy wonder from talking.
"For now, explore the cave and socialize" he said he said attempting to walk forwards. He walked past DJ who rolled his eyes.
"You know that's kinda what Black Canary used to say to me for a month. When in reality she was just keeping me on the sidelines" he said. Red Tornado looked at the boy.
"You will be tested soon enough" he repeated walking away.
"Does he think we're falling for this?" Robin asked an annoyed Wally. M'gann suddenly got excited ready to prove her usefulness.
"Ooh I'll find out" she said narrowing her eyes at the League member. As Red Tornado walked a blue light wall blocked his path but he just walked through it.
"Recognized. Red Tornado; 1-6" the robotic voice said. M'gann suddenly realized her mistake and became embarrassed.
"Oh right. Sorry I forgot he's a machine, inorganic" she said only to get 'huh' looks from her teammates. "I uh cannot read his mind."
"Hey, good try though" Wally said getting closer to the martian. "So uh you know what I'm thinking right now?" he asked. DJ rolled his eyes again. The worst part about having inhuman senses is you can sometimes sense stuff that you don't want to. Like testosterone and hormones
"Ugh, we all know what your thinking dude" Robin said slapping the back of Wally's head as the speedster groaned in pain. DJ thought over what Red Tornado had said.
"Technically he was right. Some socializing and exploring may not do the team any harm" DJ said as M'gann perked up again.
"Well me and Superboy live here. Maybe we can be tour guides" she said as Wally and Robin turned to Superboy.
"Don't look at me" he said. Wally smiled before turning back to M'gann.
"We won't. A private tour sounds much more fun" he said. Robin then caught on that he was talking only the two of them.
"Sh-she never said private" Robin said. DJ and Aqualad looked at each other with a 'really' look before turning back to the rest.
"Team building, we'll all go" Aqualad said as they entered the cave M'gann in front.
"So this would be our front door" she said acting like an actual tour guide.
"And here is our backdoor" M'gann said gesturing to the large hole in the back of the mountain. "The cave is actually the entire mountain" she said still playing tour guide. The team entered the cave again, this time stopping in the hanger.
"It was hollowed out by Superman and Green Lantern in the early days of the League" Wally said still trying to impress M'gann. However the comment more caught Superboy's attention then hers.
"Then why abandon it for the Hall of Justice?" Superboy asked.
"The cave's location was compromised" Aqualad said as M'gann looked over with a worried look.
"So they traded it in for a tourist trap? Yeah makes sense" Superboy said rolling his eyes. M'gann placed a finger on her chin.
"If villains know about the cave we must be on constant alert" she said. Robin put a hand on hers to calm her.
"The bad guys know we know about them knowing the cave's location. So they never think to look for us here" Robin said. M'gann looked over at DJ, who was standing next to her.
"We're hiding in plain sight" he said as M'gann smiled.
"Ah that's much clearer" she said placing a hand on her head. DJ and Superboy suddenly sniffed the air catching the smell of something burning along with chocolate.
"I smell smoke" they both said at the same time as M'gann gasped.
"Oh no, my cookies" she said flying away towards the kitchen. The rest of the team following quickly behind her. When they found her again, she was using her telekinesis to pull a cookie sheet out of the oven, but the cookies were already burnt.
"I was trying out a recipe from episode- Heh never mind" she said catching onto what she was about to say.
"I'm sure that would've tasted great" Robin said before looking at Wally who was grabbing a few cookies. "He doesn't seem to mind" Robin said as Wally looked up.
"I have a serious metabolism" he said with a mouthful of cookie. M'gann's face went into confusion.
"I'll make more?" she said in a questioning tone. DJ grabbed a cookie to attempt to eat it, but tapped it against the counter, making a slight banging sound.
"It was nice of you to make any at all" Kaldur said putting a hand on her shoulder.
"Thanks Aqualad" she said. He chuckled to himself remembering that he didn't give her or DJ his real name, nor did he give any of them his.
"We're off duty, call me Kaldur'ahm. Heh, actually my friends call me Kaldur" he said. Wally leaned on the table.
"Wally. See I trust you with my secret identity. Unlike Mr dark glasses over there. Batman's ordered him to never give anyone his secret identity" Wally said.
"DJ" DJ said simply extending his hand. M'gann smiled and shook it as Superboy looked down and started to walk away.
"Don't worry Superboy" M'gann said telepathically making Superboy stop and turn to her. "I'll find you a earth name" M'gann thought.
"Get out of my head!" he yelled angrily as everyone looked at him like he was crazy. M'gann however, looked confused and concerned.
"What's wrong?" she asked now in everyone's mind. They all doubled over in pain and grabbed their heads. "On Mars everyone communicates telepathically."
"M'gann stop" DJ said being the only one that can deal with the pain enough to speak. M'gann immediately stopped as everyone slowly recovered.
"Things are different here on earth" Kaldur said breathing heavily. "Here telepathically communicating can be taken as offensive and an invasion of privacy."
"Plus Cadmus's creepy, little psychic Genomes left a bad taste in Superboy's brain" Wally said. M'gann looked down. She knew of some Martians who used their psychic powers for mind control.
"I- I didn't know. I'm so-" "Just stay out" Superboy said interrupting her. He then walked to the common room that was beside the kitchen and sat on the couch.
DJ sighed he knew what it was like to be a Cadmus experiment. Being created only to be used as a weapon. And while DJ didn't experience the psychic torture that Superboy did, the things they did to him weren't exactly friendly.
Everyone stood in awkward silence until M'gann smiled and hit her head slightly.
"Uh hello M'gann. I know what we can do" she said before flying away. The others followed minus Superboy, who continued to sit on the couch. Until M'gann returned poking her head around the corner of the hallway.
"Superboy please" she said. Superboy refused to make eye contact
"Don't talk to me" he said still angry. The Martian girl looked down as Superboy slightly turned his head. He then closed his eyes and got back up. M'gann smiled and continued flying the way she told the team to go.
"It's my Martian bio ship" M'gann said gesturing to the round-ish red ship as the team stepped out of the elevator. Robin raised his glasses while DJ tilted his head. This was not something they expected from a Martian.
"Cute. Not aerodynamic, but cute" Wally said. M'gann laughed into her hand.
"It's at rest silly. I'll wake it" M'gann said raising a hand to the bio ship. It started to shift and mold into what Robin did expect from a Martian.
The ship then turned around and a door opened up forming a ramp underneath the entrance. M'gann walked into it and turned to the other members.
"Coming?" she asked Robin and Wally both ran like race horses while Kaldur, DJ and Superboy walked inside casually.
They then entered a room with five seats near the windows and one near two white ball shapes.
"Uh, strap in for takeoff" she said as Robin sat down and was greeted by seat belts wrapping around his body.
"Whoa" he said as they fastened around him. Wally also sat down but his reaction was different.
"Cool" he said as Kaldur, DJ and Superboy sat more near the front. M'gann sat at the seat near the two white balls.
"Red Tornado, please open the Bay doors" M'gann said as the two grey doors opened. M'gann then put her hands on the two white balls. The ship rose before it shot out of the mountain.
"Incredible" Robin said as Wally stared at M'gann.
"Ahh, she sure is" he said before catching what he said. M'gann turned to him.
"Uh the ship. Which like all ships, is a she" he said quickly as Robin laughed.
"Quick with his feet, not so much with his mouth" he said to the speedster disappointment.
"Dude!" he said. Meanwhile in the front of the ship. DJ was looking out the window while Superboy looked like wanted to apologize to M'gann. Kaldur was also looking out the window, but noticed Superboy's expression.
"I may not have psychic powers, but I can guess what you're thinking. You overreacted and you don't know how to apologize. Just say sorry" he said. DJ overheard the conversation and chimed in.
"Yeah she knows it was an accident the way ya snapped at her. And she knows she was also in the wrong with that situation" he said.
Superboy just kept staring dead ahead. Robin leaned over to M'gann.
"Don't worry, he'll come around" he said whispering. M'gann leaned to him.
"He doesn't seem to like me very much" she said Wally then leaned over to them.
"You guys do remember both DJ and Superboy have super-hearing, right" he asked as DJ looked back at the trio and smiled. They knew if he heard them then no doubt Superboy had as well.
"Hey how about showing us a little of that Martian shape-shifting?" Robin asked as the others turned to the back. Smiling, M'gann got up from her seat and turned into a female Robin. She then did a spin and turned into a female Kid Flash.
"Is it wrong that I think I'm hot" he said. DJ nodded.
"Yes, yes it is" he said as M'gann smiled even more before she shifted into a female version of DJ in his suit. She even popped out three claws for affect. DJ smiled and shook his head.
He had to admit, he'd hit that. M'gann shifted back to her normal form as Robin clapped his hands.
"Impressive. But you know that those won't fool anyone" he said as M'gann sat down.
"Uh, mimicking boys is a lot harder" she said. Kaldur then raised his hand.
"And your clothes?" Kaldur asked confused about how her clothes changed with the costumes.
"They're organic like the ship. They respond to my mental commands" M'gann explains, pulling on her jacket slightly.
"As long as they're the only ones" Superboy says darkly not caring that he's heard by all of them.
"Ooh ooh can you do that ghosting through walls like Manhunter does?" he asked. M'gann thought about it for a second.
"Density shifting? No that's an advanced technique" she said shaking her head. Robin then decided to humiliate Wally and cheer up M'gann at the same time.
"Flash can vibrate his molecules right through a wall. He tries it, bloody nose" Robin said.
"Dude" Wally said frustrated with his friend. M'gann then smiled.
"Here's something I can do" she said as her ship then turned invisible. Much like she was when DJ first met her.
"Camouflage mode" M'gann said. DJ smiled and nodded as the movement attracted the attention of the team.
"How about you DJ, what can you do" Robin said. DJ stood up and cracked his neck to the side. He then unsheathed his claws and now the team could see them up close.
"They are made out of an indestructible metal and can cut through just about anything. Cadmus turned my bones and bone marrow into the same metal, so it hurts like hell if you punch me and you don't have super strength" he said. He was about to continue when a buzzing went of
"Red Tornado to Miss Martian. There is an alert at Happy Harbor power plant. I suggest you investigate covertly. I'm sending coordinates" Red Tornado said over the radio feed as everyone slightly jumped.
"Received. Adjusting course" M'gann says. Robin scoffed over to Wally.
"Tornado's keeping us busy again" he said. M'gann replies staying optimistically.
"Well, a simple fire led you to Superboy. We should find out what caused the alert" she said as Superboy and DJ looked out the window. DJ swore to himself as Superboy answered.
"I think we know" he said as everyone else turned and seen a tornado heading towards them. The bio ship got sucked into the twister as everyone struggled to stay in their seat. M'gann finally pulled out of the twister and landed in the parking lot.
"Uh Robin are tornados common in New England?" Kaldur asked only to be met with silence. DJ spun around on his heels looking for the boy wonder.
"How did he do that?" he asked as a creepy laugh was heard from inside the power plant.
Robin was thrown back by a gust of wind. He looked at his opponent with an angry glare. He was wearing a suit of red metal and had blue tubes coming out of his back.
"Who's your new friend?" Superboy asked as he and DJ landed next to Robin. Superboy stood guard while DJ helped Robin up.
"Didn't catch his name, but he plays kinda rough!" He yelled. DJ cracked his neck to the side and smiled.
"Oh, then we're going to get along great" he said as he unsheathed his claws. The being however just stared at the group with an unamused.
"My apologies. You may address me as Mr Twister" the being said in a robotic voice. DJ and Superboy charged him, but Mr Twister clapped his hands together and created a huge wind storm.
Both teens struggled to hold against it. DJ even put his claws into the ground to keep him there. But in the end they were blown back against the wall.
Wally fiddled in his pockets and got his goggles on while M'gann looked over at Kaldur'ahm with a concerned look. She wasn't sure if she was ready for combat. But Kaldur gave her a reassuring nod. She nodded back as Wally, Kaldur and M'gann all charged Mr Twister.
Mr Twister made a tornado and caught Wally mid air as he tried to jump at the robot. He then threw Wally out of the power plant and into the woods outside.
Mr Twister turned his attention back to the two charging teens and blew them as well. M'gann landing next to Superboy and kaldur'ahm hit a beam and landed near DJ who got up, now angry.
"I was prepared to be challenged by a superhero, I however was not expecting children" Mr Twister said. Robin snarled and threw a few disks at him.
"We're not children!" he yelled as Mr Twister used a tornado to redirect the explosive one away from him and the other just harmlessly impaled his chest, but he just flicked it off as it exploded behind him.
"Objectively you are. Have you no adult supervision? I find your presence here quite disturbing" he said looking away from the team for a second.
"Well we'd hate to see you disturbed" the android looked up and seen DJ holding onto an overhead beam with his claws. "Let's see if you're more turbed when we kick your can and turn you into scrap metal!"
He then let go with a roar and tried to slice off the blue tubes. However, Mr Twister used a tornado to intercept the teen before he could do any real damage. But they were both suddenly covered in steam provided by M'gann.
Mr Twister heard a roar and seen Superboy was trying to attack from above. He narrowed his eyes and threw DJ into him and the two slammed into a beam before hitting M'gann mid air. That left just Kaldur and Robin.
The two charged but Mr Twister just spun them around in separate tornados before slamming them together.
"Indeed that was quite turbing" Mr Twister said before flying out of the factory.
DJ groaned as he got up, his entire body hurt like hell. Well they don't call Kryptonians 'Men of steel' for nothing. He felt the wind blow over his body as Mr Twister exited the building.
"Thank you" he said. Okay now DJ really didn't like this guy. He heard the others groan as they got up but then DJ noticed something. Wally was gone.
DJ groaned and got up running outside to find Wally in a tornado, flying past him towards the wall. However he stopped as the others came out. M'gann had a hand up near Wally.
"I gotcha Wally" she said setting him down. The speedster smiled and nodded, but his face then went into fear.
"DJ, behind you!" he shouted as DJ turned. A rock came flying from a tornado and struck the teen in the head causing his whole body to spin in the air a few times and fall to the ground. The others gasped and yelled in shock and panic, but then stopped as DJ stood up and faced them
He had two gashes on his forehead and cheek, but they healed instantly. In the few seconds that they weren't healed however, the team could see a silver metal in DJ's forehead. DJ shook his head before smiling at them. He then turned his attention back to Mr Twister.
"I would've thought you all would've learned your limitations by now" he said.
"What do you want?!" DJ shouted as the others regained their minds and stood beside them.
"Isn't it obviously. I want a real challenge" Mr Twister said levitating above the team. Kaldur leaned over to M'gann who was next to him.
"Read his mind. Find a weakness" Aqualad said. M'gann looked at him with at worried look.
"You said I wasn't allowed to do that" she said. Robin then joined in.
"It's alright to do it with the bad guys minds" he said. M'gann focused on the robot and closed her eyes.
"Nothing, I'm getting nothing" she said suddenly slapping her head. "Hello M'gann" she said turning back to the rest of the team.
"Mr Twister is obviously Red Tornado in disguise" she said as everyone looked him over. "He's inorganic, an android and how many androids can make a tornado."
"This is a trick" DJ said in realization. "Something to keep us busy" he said. Robin looked over at Wally.
"Speedy was right, we're a joke" he said. Kaldur punched into his hand and grunted as the three sidekicks walked to the android.
"We know who you are and what you want" Robin said. Mr Twister then started to summon a storm.
"Very impressive" Kaldur said crossing his arms. "But we will not indulge." Suddenly lightning blasts came out of the the storm. Now the three backed up.
"Uh guys can Red Tornado do that?" Wally asked. Everyone shook their heads and backed up. Suddenly lightning blasts knocked back the three sidekicks who slammed into M'gann.
DJ and Superboy jumped over just in time and the two charged. However they were both hit by lightning blasts sending them back to where the team laid.
DJ was the worst out of them all having metal bones. Mr Twister came forwards to end it, but suddenly his targets disappeared from his sight. After a few seconds he looked back down where they just were.
"Fine, I'll admit that you children have powers" he said as Wally regained consciousness but M'gann put a hand over his mouth to keep him quiet.
"But you are still beneath a real hero. If you would like to continue to live, do not follow me" he said before taking off towards downtown.
"Uh what happened?" Robin asked getting up.
"I placed the bio ship between us" she said as Superboy suddenly punched a large rock, destroying it in two hits.
"And that makes it better!?" he said getting out of his trench. He started to walk up to M'gann, however a still crispy skinned DJ got in between them.
"You had us all convinced that he was Red Tornado!" Superboy yelled around the razor clawed teen. However DJ wasn't backing down.
"She made an assumption based on the information she had. To be honest if she didn't say it, someone would've. He had too many similarities for it not to be a possibility!" DJ yelled back. For a second the kryptonian looked like he was going to try something. But DJ took a step forwards beating him to it.
"I just took a rock to the head and a lightning blast to the body. You think you can kill me?" DJ challenged.
"Enough!" Kaldur said stopping the two Cadmus experiments. "A fight among our team will not do the civilians any good. We must defeat him."
"But Superboy is right. It was a rookie mistake, we shouldn't have listened to her" Robin said as Wally nodded.
"Yeah, hit the showers. We'll take it from here" he said before him, Robin and Superboy took off towards the android.
"I-I just wanted to be apart of the team" M'gann said looking down. Kaldur sighed, rubbing the back of his head.
"To be honest I'm not sure we really have a team" he said before following the rest. M'gann sat on the ground for a few seconds until she realized DJ was still in front of her. Only now he was looking at her with a look of empathy.
"You should go as well. You will not do anyone any good if you are here" she said. DJ was reluctant, but still ran towards the android.
"This should get the attention I require" Mr Twister said destroying a few buildings and boats in the harbor.
"You got ours!" Wally yelled running towards the android. "Full and undivided!" he added before launching himself into the robot landing a swift kick to the chest.
"You children are a distraction that I can no longer tolerate!" Twister said as Superboy tried to attack from above. But Mr Twister moved out of the way and sent a tornado towards the two teens.
"Please, the team needs you" M'gann pleaded with the video of Red Tornado. However the android was refusing to intervene.
"If I do intervene, it will not be to help. Still I find it strange that this Twister shares my powers of tornados. And my ability for deflecting mind control" he said as M'gann thought over what he said.
"Hello M'gann" she said before steering the bio ship away from the mountain and back towards the Harbour
Robin and Kaldur charged as Mr Twister threw a boat on top of DJ. He then turned and used a tornado to throw Kaldur into a building. He redirected Wally's charge and made a tornado chase him around. Until Robin threw bombs into it destroying it.
Robin tried to do the same with Mr Twister but the android redirected the bombs away and still had enough time to avoid Superboy's attack.
He then created a large tornado and shot the clone into the air, quickly followed by a large boat. Kaldur seen Superboy and the boat coming in and quickly got out of the way.
A large piece of rubble then landed next to Kaldur as the building collapsed. Kaldur grabbed the rubble and charged while Kid Flash and Robin got behind a boat in the middle of the street.
"Man were getting killed out here" Robin said. Suddenly the bottom of the boat was sliced into an X by three claws as DJ then kicked off the bottom of the X.
"Thanks, my stomach hadn't noticed" DJ said gesturing to a board through his stomach. He pulled it out and the hole instantly sealed up. Wally gagged.
"Oh man, that's so awesome and so gross at the same time" he said as Robin got out his utility belt and put it over his shoulder.
"You brought your utility belt?" Wally asked. Robin smiled.
"Never leave home without it, first thing Batman taught me" he said as Wally smiled to himself.
"Yeah right before never go to the bathroom without it" he said. Before DJ and Wally could high-five a sharp, but familiar pain came through all their heads.
"Listen to me, all of you" M'gann's voice said as Kaldur was thrown near Superboy who was angry with having the voice in his head again.
"What did we tell you?!" he thought back angrily.
"I know and I know I messed up. But now I am clear on what we need to do" she thought back pleading with the team. Everyone was silent for a moment thinking it over.
"What's the plan" DJ thought being the first one to respond. Even though he was far away DJ could feel Superboy's glare on him.
"Her last plan nearly got us killed" he thought. The razor-clawed teen shot a look across the field to the clone.
"Unless you got a better idea" he thought. Everyone seemed to agree and M'gann started to tell them her plan.
The team regrouped and prepared to put their plan into action when they heard a civilian cheer.
They turned and seen Red Tornado landing behind them.
"I was hoping that you could handle this yourselves, but clearly you cannot" he said.
"Wait we have a plan. You can't-" Kid Flash started but was cut off.
"This matter is not up for debate. Hit the showers boys" Red Tornado said. The sidekicks walked away grumbling as the two androids squared off.
"I was beginning to think that you wouldn't show" Mr Twister said.
"Well I'm here now" Red said creating a tornado and threw it at Mr Twister, but it was intercepted by one of his own.
Mr Twister threw a twister at Red Tornado, but it did little damage.
"We are evenly matched, Twister" Red Tornado said lifting rocks behind him and shooting them at us opponent.
Mr Twister punched the ground and created a tornado in front of him. It blocked the rocks and destroyed them.
"Evenly matched? Please" Mr Twister said with a sarcastic tone. He then shot lightning blasts at Red Tornado.
He dodged them for a few seconds until the strikes hit a boat beside him causing it to explode.
The explosion caused Red Tornado to short out or get knocked out, something. Mr Twister came next to him and plugged wires into his head
"Be still android. The reprogramming won't take long" he said. Suddenly Red Tornado grabbed the wires and his head turned around turning back to it's natural green colour.
"Longer than you might think" M'gann said. Mr Twister recoiled back in surprise but M'gann used her telekinesis to push him into a tornado provided by Wally.
Superboy grabbed the android's arm as he landed on the ground and repeatedly punched him in the chest before throwing him into the water.
Kaldur appeared and swam up to the android, a large anchor in his hands. He swung it impaling Mr Twister's shoulder but didn't do any real damage. Until he used his electricity to explode the arm off the robot and shoot him out of the water.
M'gann used her telekinesis to lift Mr Twister into the air as DJ ran at Superboy. Superboy locked his fingers together and threw DJ at Mr Twister.
With two swipes, the blue tubes on Mr Twister's back were gone. M'gann used her telekinesis again to pull his remaining arm off as Robin used two exploding disks to bring him down to the ground for a final time.
The robot stood on it's knees as the team came up to it. DJ walked up to it's chest and sheathed the two outer claws and made the middle one only four inches. He then sliced the robot down the stomach, gutting it.
The chest opened up and out fell a skinny man in a green suit.
"Uh foul, I-I call foul" he stuttered on the ground. DJ tilted his head and sheathed his claw.
"We got our asses handed to us by a shrimp?" he asked just as a large boulder crushed the guy. Everyone stared where the man was in shock before turning to M'gann who had a hand up at the rock.
"Don't know how things are done on Mars. But on earth we don't execute our captives" Robin said getting in the older teens face.
"I thought you trusted me" M'gann said moving the rock off the guy. Only to reveal he was a robot as well.
"That's why I couldn't read his mind" she said looking at the robot. Wally picked up the robot's eye and smiled.
"Hey souvenir" Wally said looking over the eye ball. Meanwhile Kaldur placed a hand on her shoulder to stop her rambling.
"We should've had more faith in you" he said. Wally butted in now.
"Yeah, you really rocked this mission. Get it 'rocked' " he said as everyone groaned.
"Ignore him" Robin said. "We're all just really turbed that your on the team" DJ then looked over the robot before looking around.
"Um how are we gonna get it back to base?" he asked. Everyone looked at the crushed robot and the pieces scattered around the crater.
An hour later
DJ groaned and cracked his back as he and Superboy heaved the last of the robot onto the table as Red Tornado looked over the robot.
"It was clearly meant to cause you harm or sabotage you" Kaldur said to Red Tornado.
"Indeed" he said simply. Although in his mind he was thinking about a possibility that he wouldn't say out loud.
"Is that why you wouldn't help us?" M'gann asked. Red Tornado shook his head.
"No, this was your battle. It was not my place to solve your problems. As you shouldn't worry about mine" he said going to walk away.
"But if someone is out to harm you then-" "This matter is not up for debate" he said walking away. However he was cut off by DJ.
"If that is how you feel then alright. But remember we're here if you need us" DJ said. Red Tornado didn't move, but nodded at the young teen.
"Well" Wally said turning to the other members with a smile on his face. "I think that our first fight victory deserves pizza" he said as Kaldur and Robin cheered and followed him to the kitchen. DJ followed less enthusiastic as he's never had pizza. Robin laughed at his friend.
"You'd celebrate the opening of a mailbox with pizza. And in fact I'm sure you have" he said unaware that M'gann and Superboy weren't following them. Superboy looked away before looking back up at M'gann.
"Sorry" he said before following the rest of the team. M'gann smiled at him and admired his retreating form.
