DJ's pov
"Approaching Santa Prisca now" M'gann said as she flew the bio ship towards the island. I sat in between Superboy and Robin, who had a smirk on his face ever since we left Mount Justice.
Flashback
"This is Santa Prisca" Batman said standing in front of us with Red Tornado. "It houses a large factory that is the main supplier of a type of steroid drug sold under the street name 'Venom' " he said.
"Thermal and satellite imaging shows that the factory has still been operational. But according to the League's sources, all supply lines have been cut off" Batman added.
"So we're sending you in to find out why. This is a simple recon mission. Observe and report back, if the League needs to intervene it will" Batman said.
"So who's in charge?" Robin asked as the two Leaguers looked at each other before looking back us.
"Work that out between yourselves" Batman said as Robin nodded and smiled.
End of flashback
"Over drop point A in thirty seconds" M'gann said as Aqualad got up. As he did his seat disappeared and absorbed back into the ship.
As he stood up he pressed his belt buckle and his suit then began to turn black in front of us. He was using some new stealth tech that Wally also had on. Me and Superboy didn't really want any. My suit I'd have no need.
And he didn't really like tights or costumes at all. Me and him had gotten close in the few weeks that the team was formed. We mostly bonded over both of us being made by Cadmus. I was still a little mad at him for getting angry with M'gann during the Mr Twister fiasco. But M'gann said that he apologized to her for it so I dropped it.
Aqualad jumped out of a hole in the ship made by M'gann. He landed in the water as we circled the island for a few minutes until my earpiece buzzed.
''Heat and motion sensors are deactivated video is on a continuous loop" Aqualad's voice said. M'gann then flew over the beach and I seen Aqualad run into the jungle.
"Over drop point B" M'gann said getting up and creating cables for me, Robin and Kid Flash. M'gann could fly down and Superboy said he didn't need one.
Kid Flash pressed the center of his chest and his costume turned black.
"Cool" he said turning to M'gann. "Hey how's this look?" he asked. M'gann smiled.
"Very impressive" she said before raising her hands. Her clothes changed so that she had on black skin tight pants and her shirt went black as well. The large X on her shirt remained red.
"Oh yeah that works too" Kid said before turning to us.
"Hey Supey, Raz not too late to get on any of this new stealth tech" he said. I scoffed while Superboy crossed his arms.
"No capes, no tights. No offense" Superboy said. I gestured to my own suit.
"Do I look like I need anymore stealth?" I said laughing.
"It totally works for you" I heard M'gann say. I look over and seen she was staring at Superboy.
"For you two, I mean" she said quickly giving us a thumbs up. I gave one back while Superboy just turned away. M'gann face fell as she pulled her hood up and turned invisible.
Robin and Kid Flash repelled down while M'gann flew. I stood at the edge and took a deep breath.
I jumped down and slid down the line. But as soon as I landed I felt what seemed like the whole island shake and rumble. I looked over at Superboy, who was standing in a giant crater.
"Knew I didn't need a line" he said getting out of it with a little help from me. Robin got up from the ground and gestured to the crater.
"And yet creating a small earthquake probably didn't help the covert part" Robin said. I rolled up my sleeve and pressed the watch that Green Arrow gave me. In addition to just being a watch, it also was able to create holograms and store data for the mission.
A hologram came up and showed a map of the island. M'gann floated down from getting out of Superboy's way.
"Aqualad drop point B is a go" she said as my earpiecebuzzed again.
"Roger that. Head for the factory, I'll track you by GPS meet up with you later" he said
"Looks like the factory is three clicks that way" I said pointing to the west. We all began to walk to the factory I was in the front being that I had smell and hearing and Superboy was bringing up the rear for the same reason.
After maybe a click and a half, I heard a twig snap to my right hand side. From the look of his face so did Superboy.
I gestured for everyone to get down and they did Robin, Kid and M'gann were confused though. I pressed my ear com.
"Aqualad, me and Superboy heard a twig snap. May be just an animal, but we're going to check it out anyway just in case" I said seeing his blip on my holo-map. He was close so I figured I should alert him so he could be more stealthy.
"Acknowledged, almost to your position. Superboy, Kid use inferred, see what you can see" he said back. Superboy and Kid Flash ran to some rocks for cover and Kid used his goggles thermal vision while Superboy used his x-ray vision.
"Got a squad of armed bozos" Kid said.
"Make that two" Superboy said. "But they'll meet each other before they get anywhere near us" he added. I nodded and did a quick scan before noticing something.
"Rob?" I said in confusion. Robin was gone and it was now just us four. Suddenly we all heard gunshots from the two squads.
"No super hearing required for that" Kid said as he got out of thermal vision. I seen M'gann gasp, probably thinking that Robin had been seen and shot.
"Circle around, steer clear" Aqualad said through the earpiece.
"Yeah, just a soon as I find" Rob Kid said. I raised my foot and seen how muddy it was.
"Kid wait-" I tried but he was already gone. Not ten seconds later, I heard him cursing a hill and the gunfire stopped.
"Oh for the love of- Gah!" I said running the way he just went. I slid down the hill and seen him on the ground with a large man wearing black and white face paint standing in front of him holding a gun to his head.
I gave a roar as he turned the gun to me. I unsheathed my claws and sliced through the gun with ease. Superboy then tackled the big guy while I started to go to work on the other guys.
One squad was wearing hoods but the others looked like common street thugs. Robin suddenly dropped down from a tree and landed in between two guards. He kicked their legs out from underneath them before knocking them out.
"What is wrong with you guys, remember covert. Why didn't you follow my lead and vanish into the jungle?" he asked taking another guard. I was on gun control, meaning that I sliced and hacked the guns leaving them defenseless.
"That was your plan? Way to fill us in dude. We're not mind readers" Kid said. Suddenly three guys were slammed against a tree as M'gann levitated down.
"Uh, well I'm not at least" he said as M'gann landed.
"You said I could only read the bad guys minds" she said confused at Wally's statement. I turned and seen a guy running away. With a radio in his hand. I prepared to give chase when Aqualad jumped out of nowhere and put a hand on his chest. He sent electricity through his body and the guy fell to the ground.
We tied the guys up in their separate groups against trees. Robin looked over the guys in the hoods over.
"I recognize those uniforms. They belong to the Cult of the Cobra" Robin said gesturing to the hooded guys. I gestured to the street thugs.
"Anything on these guys?" I asked giving one of their legs a kick. Robin shook his head as Aqualad stepped forwards.
"I am sure that Batman would've told us if a dangerous Cult was operating Santa Prisca" he said as Robin nodded.
"Agreed and since they're is no love between those goons and the cultists. I'm guessing Cobra came in and tossed them out" he said. Suddenly a radio on one of the hooded guy's belts came back to life.
"Hello? Lieutenant. What's going on, we heard gunfire" It said. Everyone started freaking out while I just grabbed the radio.
"Didn't copy that, please repeat" I asked as everyone, including the thugs looked at me with a shocked expression. I just smiled and shrugged. Thanks to Cadmus I could understand just about any language.
"We heard gunfire, is everything alright?" It asked. I pushed the button down and nodded.
"Yeah, one of these idiots thought they seen something, but it was just a bird" I then held the radio away from my face. "Idiot! What is wrong with you?!" I added for effect.
"Ugh, we are surrounded by idiots. Am I right? Anyway, point out the follower when you get back in fifteen. But hurry, he arrives soon" it said. I nodded.
"Alright sounds great, see you then" I said before slamming the radio down onto my claws.
"Okay, we got fifteen minutes to figure out what's going on and get out of here. Also I think there's a buy going down. He said Hurry back, he arrives soon" I said quickly.
"Look I already got it. Cobra wants Venom juiced cultists. Radio Bats and we'll be home in time for sup-" "These cultists aren't on Venom. Cobra is hording this stuff we don't leave. Not until I know why" Robin said interrupting Kid.
'Okay here we go' I thought seeing Kid's face. Kid got up in Robin's face as I pulled back next to the others. The testosterone around here just spiked.
"Until you know why?" Kid asked putting emphasis on you.
"This team needs a leader" Robin said puffing his chest.
"And it's you. Dude you're a thirteen year old kid who bailed on us without a word" Kid argued only to have Robin laugh at him.
"And you're a mature fifteen?" Robin said as Wally nodded. "You blew our cover first chance you got" Robin said. As this was happening, M'gann looked over at Superboy.
"Don't you wanna lead?" she asked as Superboy shook his head before looking at her.
"You?" he asked. M'gann held up a hand.
"After the Mr Twister fiasco. No thanks" she said. For the maybe fifth time since I've known him, Superboy smiled.
"You did alright" he said. M'gann smiled and blushed as she brushed her hair behind her ear. I chuckled at that as they then turned their attention to me.
"What about you DJ, don't you wanna lead?" M'gann asked. I shook my head.
"No. Cadmus created me to be fighter, a soldier. Maybe a second in command. But no, never a leader" I said. Suddenly I heard one of the guys speaking Spanish lowly.
"Look at those fools argue. Quickly free yourselves and take them while they're distracted" he said quietly, he probably thought I couldn't hear him. I looked over at Superboy, who had heard it as well. He nodded and we got ready to confront them before the guy in black and white face paint spoke up.
"Quiet. Leave them alone until they give me what I want" the man said as Superboy and me smiled. Now we knew to expect something from him.
"You don't even have any powers!" Kid yelled drawing me back to the argument between the two boys.
"Neither does Batman!" Robin said getting in Kid's face.
"Duh, you're not Batman!" Kid added getting in Rob's face.
"Closest thing we got!" Robin said. They were both cut off by the guy laughing.
"Such clever niños but you only know half of the story. Let me show you the rest via my secret entrance" he said as the team got in front of him. I could smell the lies coming off this guy in waves.
"There is a secret entrance. But he's also hiding something" M'gann said crouching next to him. Her eyes glowed white.
"Ah ah ah chica. Bane is not that easy" he said. M'gann groaned and rubbed her head.
"He's mentally reciting football scores en Español. This could take a while" she said apologetically. I sighed we can't really afford to wait. Especially if a buy is going down.
"It's not that complicated. The enemy of my enemy is my friend" he said. Everyone looked at each other and Aqualad nodded.
I raised my hand and unsheathed my claws. He closed his eyes as they came down. He opened his eyes to see I only cut his ropes.
"If you're lying to me, the next claw marks will be on you" I said as I sheathed them and stepped back.
We followed Bane for a little bit. While we did I pulled Aqualad to the back of the group.
"So listen you know that I speak Spanish?" I asked making sure Bane couldn't hear.
He nodded as I explained to him that Bane was talking back when he tied up and that he probably planned to betray us.
"So we must expect a betrayal" he said. I nodded as we came to a cliff. Robin took out his binoculars and looked over the site.
I used my enhanced sight and seen a bunch of those Cobra guys putting a bunch of crates near a heli pad. I couldn't see much more than that because of the darkness
"Look at all that product. A buy is going down" Robin said. I looked over at him.
''But if Batman said that normal supply lines have been cut off. Then he must be selling to a new buyer, one who can get a better price for Venom" I said.
"We need to identify that buyer" Aqualad said Kid then butted in the conversation.
"Yeah that's what I was just thinking" he said. Robin scoffed and sat up.
"Yeah you're definitely the thinker of the group" he said.
"Seriously dude? Sarcasm? A real leader would be more focused on getting answers" he said. A grunting from the side made me look over and seen Bane moving a giant rock. It revealed an old mine tunnel.
"Answers are this way" he said walking into the mine. Kid scoffed.
"Great so now El Luchador is our leader" he said as Robin slightly shoved him and walked into the mine. He, Superboy and M'gann followed as I was about to but Aqualad stopped me.
"If we do not know what Bane is planning. Then it may be best if one of us isn't with the main group" he said. That... Actually made sense.
"Good idea. I'll take the scenic route" I said as he nodded and entered as well. I ran back to the edge before unsheathing my claws. I dug them into the cliff and begun to slide down.
I slid down and ran to the edge of the clearing. There was a lot of product getting ready to go out. I looked up and seen the outline of a helicopter was coming in.
"Aqualad, got... Static" I said hearing a lot of static over the com. No way to get info to Aqualad or the League. Better find them.
I ran through the bushes to the factory. I got inside and ran to a control room. There was only one guy in there so I grabbed him in a choke hold and held him away from all the buttons until he stopped moving and went unconscious.
"Ah man" I said looking over all the computer shit after hiding the guy in the corner. "I really wish Robin was here" I said about to just wing it.
"Aw you miss me" I heard a voice from behind me. I swore and jumped back. Robin laughed and went to work on the computer. Kid then ran in behind us with a granola bar.
"What ya got?" he asked leaning over Robin as I watched the door but I could still see the screen. Robin showed pulled up some pictures.
"Chemical formulas, I'm guessing they involve Venom. But I'm not sure..." he said trailing off. Kid pointed at the formula with his granola bar.
"This one's Venom. And this one's... Whoa the Blockbuster formula from Cadmus" he said. This caught my attention.
"The what?" I asked. I had never heard of a 'Blockbuster'. They both turned and look like they just realized something.
"Oh right you weren't there. When we were at Cadmus, there was a scientist named Desmond. Anyway super long story short, he had a chemical that made him into a huge monster. He was so big, that the only way to bring him down was to bring the whole building down" Kid said explaining. As I was taking that info in, I heard a roar followed by gunfire.
We looked out the window and seen a large monster jump through the window and land on a catwalk that had Superboy and Aqualad on it. His weight then, brought it crashing to the ground.
"Something like that!?" I yelled running out of the control room. The other two following close behind.
"Well different color, but yeah" Kid said speeding ahead of us. Aqualad was using his water-bearers as a shield and the other was a gun. Meanwhile Superboy was fighting with the giant monster.
"Kid help Aqualad and take out the gunman. Robin I- God damnit!" I yelled seeing that he already disappeared. Kid nodded and started to help Aqualad.
I ran over to Superboy and the huge monster, but stopped when I seen a guy in a hockey mask and dark blue clothing aiming a javelin at... Nothing. No wait M'gann!.
I ran at him and he stopped aiming at the invisible Martian to block my punch. He then delivered one of his own hitting my face. He then pulled his hand back and yelled in pain.
"Haha clunk" I said mimicking the sound my face made. He snarled and brought out a large metal ball on the end of a cable and handle.
"I'm gonna make a dent in that head so deep you can use it as a cup holder" he said walking forwards.
I smiled and waved at him, signaling to bring it on. He growled again and charged at me swinging the ball. I jumped out of the way and it made a crater in the ground.
"Everyone online?" M'gann's voice asked through my head.
"Yeah" I heard Superboy say followed by Kid's poor attempt to flirt. The hockey mask guy swung the ball at me again but I wrapped my arm around the cable and pulled it from his hand.
"Good. We need to regroup" Aqualad said through the metal link.
"Busy" Robin said from wherever he is. The guy then pulled a knife and began slicing at me with it.
"I'll be okay to move in a minute" I said as he suddenly jumped and pinned me on the ground. I grabbed his wrist and pushed against him, keeping the knife away from my throat.
I smiled and unsheathed my claws, the ones in my left hand nearly catching his face.
"Holy shit" he muttered as I cut the knife blade in half and used my feet to push him off. But he then pulled two javelins out of pockets on his legs.
He threw one at me and it flew under my armpit. I ignored it until I heard something explode behind me. I realized then that he had explosive javelins.
"Holy shit" I said mimicking what he said. He smiled before throwing and grabbing like a machine gun. I dodged them and ran weaving in and out of crates.
"Robin now" Aqualad thought as I felt Robin groan. I used my claws and sliced through a crate making an avalanche behind me. I didn't stop to see, but I heard the guy swear in frustration.
I rounded the corner just as Superboy was thrown into a wall by the thing.
"Robin, Kid clear a path to the mine. Aqualad make the floor wet and slippery behind big guy here. M'gann, when I say now take out hockey mask guy" I commanded. Everyone started doing what they were supposed to as I help Superboy out of the wall.
"So I guess you got a plan?" he asked holding his head. I looked and seen the thing was approaching us.
"Yep. Just keep staring him down" I said as I heard the crates move behind us. Aqualad created a lot of water behind the big guy. I then heard the metal sound those javelins make when they expand. M'gann looked at us with a worried expression.
"Now!" I yelled pushing him to the ground as two javelins flew over us and into the thing. The explosion pushed him back and into the water making him slip on the floor.
I turned just as the guy prepared another javelin. But he was so focused on us that he didn't see M'gann fly beside him in camouflage mode.
She raised her hand and he went flying into a bunch of those Cobra guys. Me and Superboy got up and ran back to the mine with the others in front of us.
Superboy closed the door and busted the locking controls, but I heard the angry roar of the thing behind the door. As we ran we heard the sound of the door being ran through.
"Superboy, Razor the support beams!" Aqualad yelled as Superboy went right and I went left. I sliced through two or three before the mine started to collapse itself.
We ran until both me and Superboy were lifted into the air by M'gann and flown faster down the mine, away from the falling debris.
"Okay hold up" Aqualad said slowing down. "This should be far enough" he said stopping and getting out a glow stick. M'gann dropped me and Superboy and landed on the ground next to us. It was then I noticed Robin was looking down at the ground.
"How could my first mission as leader go so wrong?" he muttered. Aqualad stepped up and put a hand on his shoulder.
"You do have the most experience, but maybe that is what has left you so unprepared. Fighting alongside Batman, your roles are clearly defined. You two do not need to talk. But this team is new. And a leader needs to be clear, explicit. He cannot vanish and expect others to play part in an unknown plan" he said. Robin turned and stared at him with a hardened expression.
"Oh so I'm supposed to hold everyone's hand?!" he said angry before sighing. "Oh who am I kidding, you should be leader Kaldur. You and DJ are the only ones who can, and he doesn't want to be leader" he said. Aqualad turned to look at the rest of us.
"Please" Kid said. "I could run circles around-" "Wally, come on. You know he's the right choice" Robin said interrupting Kid.
"Hello, Megan!" Miss M says, placing her hands on her hips. "It's so obvious."
"Coulda told ya" Superboy concurs, leaning against a support beam. I shrugged
"You're the only guy who can give me orders nice enough, so I don't tear their head off" I said as Aqualad smiled slightly and nodded.
"Very well. I will accept the burden" he said before placing a hand on Robin's shoulder. "Until you are ready to lift it from my shoulders" he said before turning to me. I looked behind me to see if he was looking at anyone else but nope.
"And on one more condition" he said before placing a hand on my shoulder. "Only if you will be my second in command, my friend. The way you led that plan back there, if I am ever unable to lead then I know that you would take care of the team" he said.
I stood in shock while also thinking it over. I did say that maybe I could be a second in command. I smiled and nodded.
"Alright, but now we need a plan" Aqualad said. "We cannot let that shipment leave the island."
"Well then we better work fast. Once they get that stuff loaded and secure, that chopper is out of here" I said. Robin smiled at that.
"Oh I think they'll be here for a little while longer" he said trailing off into thought.
We ran down the mine with Aqualad and me leading the charge. I could smell El Luchador in here recently, so he was just using us to get his factory back.
"Sportsmaster is the buyer/supplier, but it still doesn't make sense. He doesn't have the juice to acquire the Blockbuster formula or to get Kobra to do his dirty work" Robin said looking on his wrist hologram.
"And neither one of them has the brains to mix Venom with Blockbuster" Kid said running up next to them. "That took some major nerdage."
"I believe the expression is 'Tip of the iceberg' " Aqualad said coming to a stop as we all did the same. In front of us was El Luchador, now very muscular. Beside him were several empty tubes of what I assume was Venom. And he was also holding something in his hand.
"Halt niños, I'm feeling explosive" he said looking up. Slowly I looked up and seen lots of C4 all on the roof of the mine.
"You betrayed us, why?" Aqualad questioned. I looked at him confused. I literally told him to expect a betrayal.
"Kid you'll need a running start" he thought through the mind link. I flashed him a quick smiled before looking back at the guy with a neutral expression.
"Isn't it obviously? I want my factory back" he said starting to do the classic villain monolog thing. While he was doing that Kid was slowly stepping back.
"So I forced you into a situation where you would either take down my enemies or die trying" he smirks proudly before continuing. "If the latter, the Justice League would certainly come to avenge their sidekicks. And when the smoke cleared Santa Prisca would be mine once more" he said holding out the trigger.
"Blowing the tunnel with you inside should have the same effect" he didn't notice the blur and went to hit the button, only to find it missing.
"With what? This trigger thingy" Kid said leaning against a tree now with the detonator in his hand. The guy roared and went to grab him, but was lifted into the air by M'gann.
Superboy grabbed my collar and walked me forwards. I wasn't sure what he was doing at first but then I seen the smirk on his face.
"Drop him" Superboy said as we got into position. Even though I didn't have super strength, I did have indestructible metal knuckles.
M'gann lowered her hand and he fell. Superboy punched the right side of his face as I punched the left side. He was sent back into a tree knocked out.
"I hate Luchadors" I said as Robin tied him up. Superboy laughed and put a hand in my shoulder.
"I hate monkeys" he said as I laughed and ran back to the factory the way I went. M'gann flown down levitating Superboy so he didn't give away our cover. I had two ropes tied around my waist with Kid and Aqualad six feet below me as I slid down using my claws. Robin somehow got down his own way.
All fixed exalted one a man in a hood said as the helicopter's rotors spun around warming up. I sat in the bushes with Superboy.
The hockey mask guy, who I learned was named Sportsmaster, started to walk away when Kid ran out of his hiding spot and took down two guards.
"Take the shipment" a large hooded guy yelled at Sportsmaster. Superboy grabbed me and jumped up into the air. We landed in front of the beast and Sportsmaster.
"Go again?" we said as I unsheathed my claws and Superboy cracked his neck. Sportsmaster seemed to forget he had to get out of there and the two charged us. Only to get sprayed to the side with a strong stream of water.
"Sorry not the plan" I said as we then began to take out guards. I passed Aqualad, who was the source of the water. I was on the same role I was doing when we first met with Luchador and his gang in the woods. Gun control.
I sliced through two or three guns before I heard Superboy grunt and moan. I turned to see Sportsmaster had gotten away from the water and had gotten his hands on a gun with explosive bullets.
"Hey!" I yelled running at him. He seen me coming and turned the gun to me. He shot a round at me and it hit my left arm. Pain shot through my body as I looked and seen the skin and muscle on my arm up to my shoulder was gone. But Cadmus must've made it so that my bones stay together when when the skin and muscle gets blown away, because my bones didn't separate nor did my claws.
"Well time to see if I actually can regrow skin and muscle" I thought to myself. For just a second I forgot we still had the mind link.
"Wait, so you didn't know if you can regrow stuff" M'gann thought from her position. I hissed in pain as my muscle began to regrow. I actually think that it growing back was even more painful then loosing it.
"Well the scientists said that I could regrow skin and muscle but not limbs. But they never actually tested it" I thought looking at my arm. The muscle grew back followed by the blood vessels and then skin.
"Well that's good" I said to myself as I seen Sportsmaster was still shooting at Superboy but was also making his way back to the door of the chopper. And he also had M'gann hostage.
I growled and unsheathed my claws.
"Anyway'' I thought before charging the guy with a yell. He seen me coming and turned the gun to me again. But Superboy let out a yell of his own.
Be turned the gun to both of us, trying to figure out which one to shoot. But he then threw M'gann at us.
"Thanks for the workout, but I gotta fly" he said before running into the cockpit. "Oh and buddy?!" he yelled through the window as I got up into a sitting position.
"When we meet again we'll see who gets round three!" he yelled as the backdoor shut and the helicopter flew into the air.
I looked over at Superboy who turned and looked at me. We both had straight faces until we started smiling then laughing.
"Oh man I could've taken him out like six times" he said through laughter. M'gann sat up a smile on her face as well. She then held up the detonator.
"Boom" I said as she pushed it. The back of the helicopter exploded and it began to spin out of control. I seen the guy jump out with a parachute, but the heli was heading for the factory.
"Ooh even bigger boom" I said as the three of us ducked and got ready. I felt the heat of the explosion and the wind hit us. But no time to talk about that now Rob was still fighting that hooded guy.
we walked up to Kid and Aqualad who stood behind Robin and the guy. Robin kicked off the guy in the chest and then back flipped to us.
We all stood at the ready. I let out a relaxing sigh and shown the guy my claws.
"Hmm another time perhaps" he said backing into the woods. Robin ran after him only to find him gone.
"Annoying. Isn't it?" I questioned as he shot me a deadpan look. Robin then walked over to Aqualad who was looking at the factory. I walked up next to him and put a hand on his shoulder, making sure he knew that we would deal with the consequences together.
"We picked the right guys to lead" Robin tells Aqualad and me sincerely. "Automatically making you two the right guys to explain this mess to Batman!" then walks away laughing.
Me and Aqualad look at each other as I immediately thought about turning in my resignation.

"A simple recon mission. Observe and report!" Batman said coming close to our faces as me and Aqualad stood still and looked forwards. Safe to say he wasn't happy with our choices.
"You will each receive written evaluations detailing your many mistakes" Batman said walking to the end of the line up.
"Until then... Good job" he said shocking everyone. "No battle plan survives first contact with the enemy. How you adjust to the unforeseen is what determines success. And how you choose who leads determines character" he said as Robin smiled at both me and Aqualad, who smiled at each other.
"I encountered your little pets, project Kr and experiment X" Sportsmaster said after he finished showing off the one vial of the Blockbuster/ Venom formula.
"Really? How are they?" one of the screens asked. Sportsmaster frowned at his attitude.
"Oh they were just fine, wanted me to say hello. They said that while they foiled our plan and burned Bane's factory to the ground!" he yelled only to be met with silence.
"hmm. My scientists are still working on a way to cancel out Project Kr's human DNA and allow him to have full Kryptonion powers. As for X, he should've evolved already. We all know how powerful he is meant to be. But given the circumstances I'd say his other powers should kick within a few weeks or maybe a few months" the screen said before going black. Another one scoffed.
"No matter what he says. Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. But three times is enemy action, and enemies of the Light must not stand."
