Klaus POV:

I went back to the apartment for the ruse of Elder Salvatore. And as expected Katrina is there already, when I entered, she stood up and asked me questions, "Why did you leave me? After 500 years of chasing, why you freed me just like that?" I was expecting these questions from her, but now is not the time so I answered her "I did it for my brother Elijah, and this is your chance to prove that you are in love with my brother by being loyal to him and his family. You may be freed from my quest of 500 years, but if you betrayed my brother or acted against any of my family, then there will not be any more chasing. Only punishment for all the eternity to come. Have this in mind before you act against my family."

I walked past her to take a bourbon bottle and pour it in a glass for me to drink. Then settled in at the breakfast counter with that expecting Damon anytime now. As expected, he vamped in, I slowly took another sip of my bourbon "I'm now aware that you have been invited in" I say coolly.

He approached me and said "I've come to tell you to postpone the ritual" I placed my glass at the table and turned to him and asked going along with him "Why should I, pray tell" he responded immediately "Because I rescued your werewolf and vampire and knocked out your witch from the Lockwood cellar"

I chuckle at that before responding, "I've heard of you. The crazy, impulsive vampire…." I turned and walked towards my laptop to show him the backup werewolf "…in love with his brother's girl. I knew one of you would try to stop me. It was just a fifty-fifty guess of who" I played the video and showed the screen towards him "Its nice thing about werewolf, that they travel in pack. Need a closer look? Have at it." I tossed the phone with same video towards him to see. He murmured "Jules pack" and tossed the phone back to me.

I circled intimidating him and continued on talking "If you're working on lifting the curse placed upon you for a thousand years, you'll come to know a thing or two. First rule: Always have backup. Backup werewolf, backup witch…." then he finished for me saying "backup vampire" and I say "l covered that too" snapping his neck.

I set my eyes on Katerina who is observing our conversation from the beginning, said to her that "Once he wakes up, you have to make him believe that I have kidnapped Jenna in retaliation to his plan to spoil my sacrifice". She just nodded her head. I flashed towards her and held her throat "Say it Katerina, give me your word you'll do it as requested"

She frantically nodded her head again and said "Sure, I'll make him believe that Jenna is held as leverage. I give you my word" I released her "Now that's not so much trouble, is it?" asked her, smirking. She just glared at me. "And dear Katerina, inform my brother Elijah that I started to the ritual ground just now" with that I flashed out of the apartment leaving her with Damon.

If Katerina does as she was asked this time and then I'll know that I made the right decision in releasing her. And I have a thought that Caroline will definitely bug me to release her if she knows about Elijah's feelings towards Katerina.

I reached the ritual ground to see Greta working with the moonstone and Maddox handling the sacrifices. I clasped my hands together and asked "Let's start this show. Shall we?" Greta smiled at me starting the spell drawing the power from moonstone and the moon itself and she motioned for me to get the werewolf which is the first sacrifice.

Once the fire around the werewolf died down, the werewolf tried to attack but I easily blocked him and pulled his heart out in the blink of an eye. Since the spell continued, Stefan arrived at the exact time to offer himself to revive Jenna.

As part of my plan, I brought Stefan to the ritual ground and asked the doppelgänger "Well it seems Stefan here wants to offer himself up in exchange of your sweet aunt Jenna who is held as a leverage, Elena. What do you think I should do? Accept your lover boy's offer?"

She was shocked that Jenna had been kidnapped, I answered her unasked question "I had to kidnap Jenna, which is your punishment for Damon interrupting and rescuing the werewolf & vampire I held in Lockwood cellar"

She shook her head crying "No…...no it can't be. No, please I did everything as you said. I didn't run away. You can't do anything to Jenna" she cries begging on her knees. I smirked at the sight and said "Good for you then, that I have anticipated both of your boyfriends' dumb move against me and have her captive. She'll live only this ritual is completed successfully." I said, then stabbed Stefan in the stomach with the stake and snapped his neck.

I turned around to see Greta for confirmation, once she nodded her head I went to the vampire. I dug into her chest and pulled out her heart completing the next step of the ritual by pouring its blood in the aisle.

As expected, the doppelgänger is crying her eyes out on her knees for her aunt's safety. Satisfied with my work, I looked around and beckoned Maddox to me. I ordered him to Leave now and wait for me in that apartment. Since I know after my transformation to werewolf, the elder Salvatore will make an appearance and kill the witch in vengeance while picking up the doppelgänger's body.

No One's POV:

In the meantime, at the witch house Bonnie was performing the spell with John's blood. Jeremy was reading the story of the mother and daughter in the grimoire under this spell and came to know that this means John will not be alive if Elena gets to live. When he looked up the spell was over. He still asked John, "Do you know what happened to the mother who gave blood for this spell initially?" John calmly replied "I do know, Jeremy. I gave my blood for this spell with full awareness of the consequences" and left tapping his shoulder.

Before Bonnie could ask what consequences to Jeremy, Damon strolled in and ordered "Its time, Judgy. Let's go kill the psychotic Original". Bonnie just glared at him and turned to Jeremy and said, "I'll definitely save Elena. Sorry Jeremy" she held her hand at his forehead and made him fall into sleep. Alaric catches him before he falls to the ground and lays him down. When Alaric tried to catch up, he was blocked by an invisible door. Bonnie turned back "Can't afford to lose any more of people to this"

By the time Bonnie and Damon reached the ritual place, Klaus was already finished drinking from Elena to her death. Her body was lying in the altar, Stefan was lying further from the aisle to the left. Bonnie scanned the area to attack Klaus, when she spotted him, Elijah was with him standing beside him while he is trying to change to werewolf. When Stefan tried to attack Klaus, there was a shield protecting me from attacking when Bonnie looked around Greta was the one blocking her attack towards Klaus.

Before Bonnie could knock off Greta, Damon saw Elena in altar lying and vamped there to pick her at the same time and snapped Greta's neck. Bonnie shouted at Damon that was not necessary, but as usual he ignored in favor to Elena. He picked Elena at the same time Stefan was waking from his temporary death and looked at Elena and his brother. "You take her, I'll have to see this through. I will be back with Bonnie" said Stefan to his brother. Stefan pulled out the stake from his stomach, while his eyes searched for Bonnie. When he spotted her she was standing there ideally, he turned around to see where Klaus is and saw Elijah picking him up bridal style while Klaus breaks all his bone and vamped out of sight. Stefan cursed, "Son of a Bitch" at Elijah and went to Bonnie and he could see she was in some sort of trance. Since he could not wake her up, he just carried her to the witch house.

Since we are only few minutes back from Damon starting, when Stefan reached witch house with Bonnie, he could see Damon lying near the head of the Elena and pleading her to wake up as human, also stroking her hair gently. Alaric and Jeremy were only watching Elena and does not aware of him entering the house. Looking at the Damon's action anyone could sense that he is not aware of anyone else other than Elena. This scene of his brother pleading, stroking, and crying for his girl, makes him sick to his stomach and leaves a sour taste in his mouth.

The same time Bonnie came out of her trance and gasped for air, then all the other 3 turned to us. Stefan helped Bonnie stand and Jeremy came running to hold Bonnie. He left her to him and went to the sofa where Elena is lying thinking his brother would move back, but he made no movement to let go of Elena's hand. Stefan went back of the sofa and stood there looking at Elena. Alaric questioned Bonnie, "Why you are back so soon? What happened there?"

All of them looked into Bonnie for answers, then she spoke "I was in trance due to my Grams, she came into me to speak with me. And she wanted to stop my attempt to kill any of the Originals". She said shocked herself to hear that, everyone could see more questions in her head like ours. Damon was the first to speak after that revelation, agitated he asked "What? What are you talking about? Why would your grandmother want that psychopath to live?". Bonnie snapped back at Damon, "Well how would I know?" then sarcastically she said, "I could ask her those questions and answer you, wait...…. How could I? because of your stupid quest to open the tomb she was dead." Before Stefan tries to stop Damon from doing anything stupid again, Elena chooses that exact moment to wake up. By the same time Johnathan Gilbert who gave her the human life was dead at the walking distance from witch house towards the main street. Damon was holding her head and stroking while she breaths fanatically and asks, "How are you feeling?". Jeremy was also back near Elena with Bonnie in his tail, Alaric just stood there from where he can watch her. Elena murmurs back with heaving breath and smile on her face to Damon "I'm feeling fine, I'm fine". Everyone breathes a sigh of relief on hearing her voice. Stefan stood there taking all in and doesn't know what to do.
