Original Hybrid
Klaus POV:
I could feel all the pain from my bones breaking throughout my body, Elijah lifting me and vamping towards forest. When I last eyed on Bonnie, after Greta died, she was standing still, like in a trance. I wondered what she is seeing in the trance. But immediately my pain was overriding my thoughts, in a blink of an eye while Elijah placing me down, I was fully transformed into a werewolf. I could recognise Elijah as my kin since I do not have the urge to attack him only protect him. He was maintaining safe distance from me and observing my actions. I just turned towards the forest and ran. I felt liberated after being caged for so long in my lifetime.
I had no destination in my head, I just ran through forest freely as my four paws takes me. I howled towards the moon, hunted bunnies, people, bears, whichever crossed my path. I could sense Elijah following behind me to cleanup my messes, the night went by. And I was heading near the houses of Mystic falls at the time of dawn, I could see that Elijah is very near to me seeing that I'm heading towards the human population. But as my paws take me in the specific direction, I could sense that I'm headed towards Caroline's house.
I am terrified of her safety, Elijah tried to stop me from heading towards the houses. But I ran fast and headed towards the tree, where we sat last night and discussed. Once I reached her home, I sniffed to see who all in the house and satisfied that only Caroline is home. And then I ran round and round the house to mark my territory, by the time I finished scratching the tree Elijah came to a halt and searched for any Body to cleanup. Seeing none, he was confused and asked out loud "What are you doing here Niklaus?".
On hearing Elijah's voice, Caroline walks up to the window and looked down at me in a wolf form and Elijah perfectly in a suit. We also looked up at her at the same time hearing the window sound, she was shocked and in awe on seeing me whispered "Nik..." and jumped out of the window without even thinking.
Elijah not expecting the girl to jump from window, is on alert to compel her to forgot, if she was still alive that is, she is a Vampire and one bite from werewolf could kill her. But how could she jump out knowing this, she also said Nik, it means she knows of my brother. When Elijah tried to near Caroline even though to save her from me, I snarled at him. He just stood there shocked at my actions and waited out. I was relieved that I will not harm her. I had the instinct to protect her not harm her.
Once landed Caroline was in ecstasy jumping and clapping on seeing me as werewolf, this action of her is not what I even expected. When I looked at her, she said "Nik, you are so beautiful" and tried to reach me. I snarled at her words beautiful, as if understanding why I was angry she dismissively said "Oh…. shut-up you are not beautiful, you are a deadliest, okay happy" while reaching my jaws "I have always wanted to see you in werewolf you know? And wanted to do this to you" I nuzzled my nose into her neck while she caressed me with her both hands like a hug. I felt her scent fill my nostrils and I thought I am in heaven. Caroline addressed Elijah as she forgot him standing there in favour of petting me, "Hi Elijah, I'm Caroline Forbes. You may not know me, but your witch saved me from the torcher session werewolf pack. Thank you for that." When I snarled on hearing her being tortured by werewolf which I'm not aware of, she asked "Why do you think I wanted Brady to be your werewolf sacrifice? He is the one shot me with vervain bullets" I growled angrily at her to express that his death was not the punishment he deserves. "Luckily before he could bite me, Elijah's witch Martin came and saved us, and Stefan dropped me in my house" she said calmly to me.
Elijah just stood there not being able to answer her greetings and in a shocked expression on her actions towards me. After Caroline explained me the incident, Elijah pulled himself out of the stupor and asked "Hello, Miss Forbes, is it?". She smilingly extended her hand for him to shake "Yes, Elijah" she then turned to me "Since, I was already awake waiting for your news. Why don't we go mansion and move forward from there". I just nodded to her and my brother and ran before them to change into a decent wear before greeting them in human form. She just turned towards Elijah and said, "Shall we?" He gave her a curt nod and sped towards mansion to capture a moment alone with me.
As expected, when I came down in black Henley with grey jeans Elijah was already in living room waiting for me. As soon as my foot landed in living room Elijah's questions fired at me "Who is she brother? I could sense that she is just a vampire not even a witch, how you have not attacked her even in your werewolf form? What does she mean by 'I have always wanted to see you in werewolf form'? how long have you known of her? Is she is the reason for change in you" I sighed at his arrow of questioning, "Relax brother, I will answer all and any of your questions" I poured both of a glass of bourbon and handed him one glass. I took a sip of mine, the same time she strolled into the mansion in her night wear, even then she looked like absolute angle for me.
She smiled at me strolling into the living room and sat beside me and I easily throw my arm around her and kissed her in the forehead. This action from me made Elijah even more puzzled about the blond girl beside me. On noting his puzzled gaze, I spoke to Caroline "Elijah has a lot of questions, sweetheart. And I have some questions of mine too. Like, why my inner wolf brought me to you while I was wolfed out? At time of my transitioning Bonnie was not attacking me, she was in some kind of trance. We would want to know what did she saw in that trance of hers? Why hasn't she attacked me? Does the doppelganger have successfully resurrected as human?" I fired away at her and took a sip of my bourbon.
She sighed, "Yeah, yeah, lot of questions. Actually, I haven't yet heard from Stefan on the status aftermath of ritual. That is why I was a bit late here; I have gone back to the room to take my phone in case he called. And for your first question, we both do not know answer but that is not a priority now. We can deal with that later" she answered me and turned towards Elijah and spoke directly to him "As far as your questions, I believe the answers are deserved to be heard by all of your family at once. Since any of them are not back here yet, call for them to reach the mansion by day after tomorrow. In the meantime, pending work in mansion will also be over" Before Elijah could question Caroline, her phone rings with Stefan name on the screen.
She gestured for us to be silent and answered his call 'Yes, Stefan. What happened? All of you are okay?' Stefan responded, 'Yes all are fine here, no one harmed' and left the sentence hanging open, so Caroline prodded 'but….' Stefan answered her with a sigh 'No one harmed Caroline, not even Klaus. We don't know what happened with him and Elijah. Bonnie has not attacked Klaus, because she was sucked into some sort of trance by her grams' Caroline asked innocently 'What did she see in trance? Is Bonnie okay now?' 'We ourselves don't know what she saw in the trance fully, she just said that her grams warned her from killing any of the Originals' Caroline questioned with doubt in her voice 'So what you are saying is that Bonnie's grams don't want any of the Originals to die?' Stefan chuckled, 'Yeah, that sums up about the message. And Elena is awake and well. Human too.' Caroline let out a sigh of relief and said 'Okay, all are well for now. That is good to hear. Call me if you need me for anything.' Stefan answered 'Sure Caroline. Take care' with that Caroline hung up her phone and looked at me.
"So, that answers your questions on Bonnie and Elena. I'll go to Bonnie's to check on her myself and call you if anything else pop up. Seeing Stefan relaxed tone, I think Damon had not yet informed him about his werewolf bite" she said. "Yes, sweetheart. What do you want to on that? You haven't even told me what happened yet" I asked her curiously. "Still not the time, Nik. As far as what to do on that, you should cure Damon in return with Stefan as your comrade. You can have him as you planned Originally" she insisted on originally for me to understand to have him as a ripper similar to our earlier time, I subtly nodded my head in understanding that "as your company to hunt werewolves for your hybrid army. We can expect him any time before today evening at Alaric's apartment. You have to lock him in there until you return from Charlotte" she said, Elijah gasped in shock about her knowledge on Mikael. I answered her, "Sure sweetheart. Already I asked Maddox to wait for me in that apartment. But Katrina already left to her hotel room where my dear brother and she is staying" I said to her stating that no one other than Katrina could deliver the cure and to demonstrate the same.
Elijah took that moment to speak, "What does Katrina have to do with this brother? And why have you not answered any of my questions?" asked frustrated. Caroline looked at me asking silently that whether she can take this; I nodded my head to go ahead. Elijah looked between me and Caroline on this silent conversation between us. She stood up and walked towards Elijah and took his hands in her, seeing directly into his eyes "I know Elijah you have loads and loads of questions, you want answers for. But you can be rest assured that, I'm not the enemy here. I will not do any harm to you or to your family in any way including Kathrine. I give you my word on that. It is not that we are trying to avoid your questions, it's just that we have a time constraint task in our hand. Killing Mikael before anyone knows about him and try to wake him up"
Elijah could sense the sincerity in her voice on every word she spoke of, she continued seeing his angry resolve "We want Katrina to play as a hostage and demonstrate how his blood will work as a cure to werewolf bite. Since she was compelled to stay there, if she got an opportunity to be free, she would definitely take it. Stefan knows this piece of information very well and he'll be wary of his brother the entire time he is awaiting for Klaus to return from Charlotte . I also assure you that after this we will not have Kathrine used as pawn to play the Salvatores without her consent"
Elijah raised his eyebrow at Caroline's wordings and a promise on behalf of his brother Niklaus, so he looked back at him who is smiling with dimples and twinkly eyes. He just shook her head smiling himself and answered me "Okay, I'll ask her to be at the apartment" As response Caroline jumped a little and clapped her hands enthusiastically "Thank you, Elijah". He just nodded at me and addressed Klaus, "I'll meet you at the apartment with Katrina, Niklaus". Klaus answered, "Will be there in few mins, Lijah" Elijah vamped out with a smile decorating on his face from his brother calling him Lijah again. Now he knows who changed him, but still that does not answer is how or why or how long they have known each other.
Caroline tried to resume her place beside me on the couch, I pulled her up to my lap and nuzzled into her neck speaking "That was very well played sweetheart, I truly thought that Elijah would not move from here without answers. You have handled him well". She rested her head on my shoulder with her hand around me, she kissed me in the neck before answering, "I haven't handled him well, I just said the truth. He is just as paranoid as you. His questions about me are from the point of his family's safety. That is why I assured him of the 'no harm to the family' he easily understood that"
I just hummed at her deduction of my brother, which is so accurate. We both are paranoid and protective of our family, just the way of showing that differs between us. "So, what should we say to them sweetheart? I know you would have already thought of this" She sat up looking "Yes, Nik. I have a plan. I was not able to sleep yesterday. Lots of thoughts in my mind. I know we have to say something to your family and my mother, if not anyone else. So, I thought that we could inform that I was sent back in time by witches to stop genocide of vampires and Originals." I saw her with confused face and asked, "Why sweetheart? Why you alone?"
She cupped my face with her both the hands and continued "See Nik, we have to be at least partially true to your siblings and my mother. I do not want to tell anybody else, not even Bonnie. I'll check what her grams made her see in the trance, then we can go from there with her. And for why me alone, everyone will believe that I was the only one sent back with those memories due to my sunshine personality. You'll be like our secret weapon with all the knowledge. As we could see, we ourselves changing something and some of the events are changing without our control. We want like one person in and one person out for any situation"
I kissed her palm seeing her tensed and spoke, "Nothing will happen to you sweetheart, I will make sure of that. As far as partially true I agree with you love. We have to give them some sort of truth, otherwise my siblings would easily catch us of hiding information, especially Rebekah. She can easily tell when the person in lying except for me of course" She smiled at me answering, "Yes, she will easily catch me. And Nik, you have to tell your siblings that you are the one who murdered your mother" he grunted and throwing his head back closing his eyes, I pulled him back "We do not want anyone to use that information against you. Maybe they all will be mad at you for some time. But if they learn this information from anyone else will break them more."
I nodded my head, "Yeah sweetheart, I'll tell them myself after we talked about your return back in time. But, how will we explain our current relationship in that?" I asked changing the subject. She just grinned back knowingly and continued "As for that, we can say that I called you to your mobile the same number which I had memorised from earlier time to meet up at the café, which we did meet" I interrupted her "You memorised my number?" She ducked her head with shy painting her cheeks red, when she looked up at me, she said, "Yes, I recognised your number when you called me. But I was puzzled to think that you would have also sent back in time, so I attended the call hoping it was you" after a pause she continued "Actually, I used to hear your voicemail from time to time. When I was low and lonely and got nowhere near the answers for merge of my twins. Your voice will get me going with a promise, that when I want, I have a person to lean on" she finished with tears in her eyes.
I wiped her tears away and kissed both her tear strained cheeks and eyes, "We will have all the answers this time, sweetheart. I apologise that I could not fulfil my promise to you last time, love. But note this, whatever the situation is I will always be here for you" I kissed her pouring my strength into her. We just sat there few minutes taking each other's breath in with our forehead rested against each other. When my phone rang with the message notification from Elijah reaching the apartment with Katrina, we both pulled apart.
We both stood up from couch and she said "Okay, you go kill your daddy dearest. We can meet once you are back. I'll have a chat with my mom and explain to her what had happened to me. After that, I think it won't be a big task to get an invitation to you" kissed me in the cheeks with a smile brightening the whole mansion "I want your witch here to spell the bedrooms and your art studio. I'll go to my home and be back here in an hour or so"
We both walked towards the door while she spoke, I kissed her and said "Sure sweetheart, Maddox will be at your service in an hour. Be careful, keep me informed on Bonnie even through texts if you could not make a call. I'll call you once we finished Mikael. If you want anything at all after your talk with your mom, do call me" she nodded smiling and we both vamped out of the mansion.
I reached Alaric's apartment in few minutes in a speed any human could comprehend. Already Maddox, Katrina and Elijah waiting for me. Once I reached the apartment, I addressed the witch "Maddox, you can go refresh yourself in that hotel room and reach our mansion in an hour. You'll have a work there spell the rooms for privacy, so that cannot be heard from outside but can hear everything out from inside. Then come back here" he started immediately.
Once the witch is out of earshot, I turned to Katrina who is seated closely to Elijah in love seat couch. "Katrina, I want you to act as captive again for younger Salvatore. I will bite you in front of him to prove a point, but I will cure you as well. I will have you leave for handing the cure to elder Salvatore, just after you delivered that you can have your beauty sleep at Elijah's room" I say with the smirk. She just nodded her head, still wary of all this pardoning her from 500 years quest. Then I addressed my brother, "Lijah, you can be here as well. Once the witch is back, we can lock the ripper and start on our trip"
He asked, "How are we going to reach there brother?" I responded him, "We have to be back as soon as possible Lijah, so I think airways would only do. I already had booked a chopper for us at Richmond airport on standby and rental car will also be here in few more minutes for us to reach Richmond airport. All set for now, only the ripper has to show up now" I handed one glass of bourbon to my brother and took a sip from mine. He nodded and took a sip from it and asked "Once we returned from this trip, what are we going to do Niklaus"
I was expecting this question from him, since he had not got any of the answers about Caroline "As I said earlier, we will host a ball for supernaturals brother. In which we would introduce us all the Mikaelson' s as the Royalty of supernaturals, anyone who dared to touch us will not be pardoned" I said widening my hands to both the sides with the grin in my face. My brother shakes his head in exasperation and Katrina just snorted at my actions. Then my brother said in a stern tone, "Niklaus…." I just sighed already knowing what he is expecting then said "Yeah, yeah before all this, we will definitely have a family meeting. On our way back to Mystic Falls we can call our siblings. Happy Lijah?" he responded with a smirk "Better Niklaus"
Then I announced I'll freshen up leaving the love birds alone. As I expected they didn't talk much, just a trivial conversation. When I came back to the living room half an hour later Maddox returned. He said he totally spelled 6 rooms. Then we all waited for Stefan to show up. Maddox was cooking something for his lunch, myself and my brother drinking bourbon in the breakfast highchair, Katrina looking into some women's clothing magazine.
In another two and half hour he came running into the apartment. As planned, I made a show of biting Katerina and had her drink my blood for Stefan. Then I tossed him a human blood bag for him to drink, when he refused to drink, I poured my blood in the sink to make him understand that he could not get the cure if he didn't do as I say. Then he drank all the blood bags I tossed at him.
I called "Katerina dear, take this cure to elder Salvatore please" and held up the vial of my blood enough to cure one bite. As per our agreement she vamped in front of me and took the vial "You want me to leave this apartment to deliver it to Damon?" she asked. I just responded "Yes" then she disappeared. Stefan stared the door where Katerina left, after few seconds he said "You were never gonna see her again"
"Oh, don't worry about that ripper, I know Katerina got her hands on vervain. Your brother, my guess" I waved his statement coolly. Then his mobile ring goes off of a text message, I vamped to him and took the mobile from him before he could see the text and compelled him to stay inside this apartment and not to communicate to anyone until I say otherwise. I signaled my brother to start, then addressed Maddox "You know what to do" I said since I already instructed him to lock the ripper in the apartment for two days and leave the apartment. He was already fed enough blood. On my way out I took the ripper's daylight ring as precaution. Then my brother Elijah and I embarked on a journey to make our 1000-year dream come true.
