Chapter 15 Guardians of the Sky
Its been a couple weeks since the Kraken was awakened which now added another Apex level Titan that was awake.
Right now however Sean was under water next to Sando who bellowed softly before placing a device on its neck.
"Device in place." Sean said swimming away.
"Good. Reznov?" Emma asked.
"Hang on." Reznov said getting on the Zillo beast before planting another device. "Good to go." Reznov said.
Julia was doing the same to Gigan.
"We're good." Julia said as she jumped off.
"What are you doing?" Batman asked.
"Getting the Biometrics for the Titans for the ORCA project." Emma said.
"ORCA?" Lantern asked.
"It'll allow us to communicate with the Titans using their Biometric Data. This way incase one ever does goes on a rampage we'll be able to calm them down in seconds." Emma said.
"Thats incredible." Superman said surprised.
"Original this kind of project was to keep whales from the shoreline. But after the MUTO incident I decided to continue with this project. To prevent another attack incase Eiling or Luthor try anything." Emma said.
"And knowing those fuckers they will." Sean said swimming away as Godzilla swam by him before he grabbed on.
"And we still don't know what Eiling needs Luthor for. For all we know he could be building a weapon of destruction." Julia said.
"I'd put money on that." Reznov said.
"Either way we need to be prepared." Emma said.
As Sean continued to ride on Godzilla he came across a trench making him narrow his eyes before letting go as he swam to it.
Swimming further in he found something he wasn't expecting.
"Guys...We might need to hold off any further plans with the ORCA." Sean said.
"What are you talking about? What are you looking at?" Emma asked.
"If I'm right...I think I found the main breach the Kaiju use to come into our world." Sean said seeing a portal with various Kaiju on the other side.
Later
"Yup this is the main breach." Cisco said looking at his screen.
"So how do we close it?" Lantern asked.
"I have no idea." Cisco said.
"This was caused when Godzilla destroyed the mother ship when the invaders tried to leave?" Hicks asked.
"We believe so or it could be any number of things. " Graham said.
"Regardless of what caused this these are here and they won't leave until they destroy everything in sight. We need to find a way to get in and close the breach and thats gonna take time." Sean said.
"Lets just send a nuke in there and end this." Hicks said.
"You really think its gonna be that easy? Nothing ever is." Reznov said.
"So unfortunately true. Yeah thats not gonna work. We need to study this thing in order to find out how to destroy it from the inside." Sean said.
"That could take years." Wonder Woman said.
"As most things do. We're just gonna have to deal with it." Sean said before an alert came up.
"Oh now what?" Turok asked.
"Thats mine." Cisco said pulling up a screen. "Oooh. Looks like we got a new Titan waking up." Cisco said showing it in Africa.
"Oh...Another Apex level Titan." Sean said.
"How do you know?" Flash asked.
"Oh we've had reason to believe one was there based on an old legend." David said.
"What legend?" Hawkgirl asked.
"Legend has it that ancient tribes once worshiped an ancient titan that had power over four elements and made Africa into a completely lush green paradise. The Elements of Earth, Fire, Water and Air. During that time the tribes were so connected with nature." Sean said.
"And what exactly is this Titan?" Batman asked.
"Uh oh." Cisco said gaining their attention as Cisco used the satellites to zoom in on where it was at. Only to see the place was surrounded by Rebels with villagers dead all around save one.
"Not good. Let's move." Superman said.
Meanwhile
A group or Rebels had killed an entire village save for one.
A girl about 2 years younger than Sean. She had dark skin brown hair and blue eyes.
All she could do was cry as her entire village was killed by the rebels who took sick twisted pleasure in their deaths. Including her parents who died protecting her.
Thats when the Leader approached her making her widen her eyes in fear.
"If your village leader had just met out demands none of this would have happened. But no. And now you're all alone."
This made her cry some more before a gun was aimed at her face.
"Don't worry...You'll be seeing them all real soon."
This made her widen her eyes in fear.
Only for the ground to start shaking like crazy.
"Hey what is this!"
Everyone felt the ground start cracking apart.
(Insert Rainbow Dragon theme from Yugioh GX)
Thats when the ground came apart as something was coming through and growled loudly making them widen their eyes while the girl looked in awe.
Coming from the ground was a large white serpent dragon with multiple colored jewels on the body with large wings on the back and roared loudly.
"The legends are true." The girl said in awe before it roared into the air.
This was the legendary Apex titan of Africa. The Rainbow dragon. (Title and song says it all)
The Rainbow dragon looked at the rebels who tried to run off before it's body started glowing as did the jewels before blasting them with great power making them scream in horror as they were turned to dust.
With them gone the Rainbow dragon turned to the girl making her widen her eyes as it slowly approached her before it's eyes soften before she placed her hand on it as it closed its eyes before she felt a strange pulse enter her body as it went back up before roaring loudly into the air just as a Javlin arrived.
"Whoa." Lantern said.
(End Song)
"The Rainbow dragon. Another Apex level Titan." Sean said as it flew off before Sean rushed out seeing the girl hovering over her dead parents before he placed a hand on her shoulder making her face him before she cried and buried her face into his chest.
"Shhh. It's ok." Sean said as she cried.
Later
After that Sean took the girl back to Monarch having a suspicion.
"You were right. She's a Proxy." Wells said.
"Hmm. More and more are starting to be made. I think the Titans are trying to evolve the Human race." Sean said.
"Is that even possible?" Barry asked.
"More than possible. It's proven. Every Proxy has unique characteristics in their DNA. Sean can breather underwater and is immune to radiation like all and can absorb it to power his atomic breath. David can generate electricity naturally and absorb it and is immune to it. Reznov can regenerate missing limbs and organs and speed up the healing process of others." Wells said.
"So what can she do?" Cisco asked.
"We'll find out." Sean said entering her temporary room. "How you holding up?" Sean asked.
"What do you think?" She asked coldly.
"I didn't get your name." Sean said sitting in a chair.
"Korra." Korra said. (Season 1-3 appearance since I like that one better)
"I am sorry about what happened. But believe me I know what you're going through." Sean said.
"No you don't. I heard you talking with your father. You don't know what it's like to lose your parents in such a cold way." Korra said glaring at him.
"Actually I do. Serizawa is my adoptive father. My real parents were killed by a Virus when I was just a baby." Sean said shocking her before she looked down.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know." Korra said.
"Korra." Sean said sitting next to her. "I know this is gonna be hard. But it will get better as time goes by. And with your abilities..." Sean tried to say.
"Abilities? What abilities? I don't have any powers." Korra said.
"You do now. Did you notice anything strange when the Rainbow dragon approached you?" Sean asked making her frown in thought.
"Well...I did feel something strange." Korra said.
"Because it transferred power to you. It chose you to be a proxy. Someone with the abilities of the Titans. People like me." Sean said taking his shirt off showing the spikes on his back surprising her.
"I'm gonna grow a tail or anything am I?" Korra asked making him laugh while she giggled a little.
"I very much doubt that. No at best you'll probably have white scales on your skin or something. Not all proxy's show physical signs. Some have more internal signs. Let me show you something." Sean said leading her out of her room.
Sean pulled up a screen showing every known proxy there currently was.
"Wow...I didn't think there were so many." Korra said.
"And more are showing up. Korra you have a gift you can use to prevent what happened to you from ever happening again. In years to come the world will be at peace as it once was the last time they protected all of mankind. But this time around they're doing something different. They're giving people like us their abilities. And we can use these gifts to do some real good." Sean said making her look down.
"My mom always said she saw me doing some real good in the world." Korra said as he held her hand.
"And you can. I can help you learn to control your powers. And you'll help prevent what happened to you from ever happening again in years to come." Sean said making her smile.
"Thanks." Korra said.
From a distance Emma saw all of this and smiled before walking away.
A week later
It's been a week since the Rainbow dragon emerged from Africa and since Korra became a proxy.
It took a while but Sean was able to help her get past her horrible experience and move on.
He had her parents moved to the states to be buried so she could see them whenever she wanted which she appreciated greatly.
Right now Sean was swimming underwater around the Monarch base to clear his head.
"Does he always do that?" Korra asked.
"Every day. Being the proxy of the King of the Monsters means he's always in the same element as Godzilla. It keeps him calm and clears his mind." Emma said going over a report.
"Can I ask...How Sean and Godzilla met?" Korra asked.
"Hmm. Well...His story and yours are somewhat similar. When he was a baby he and his parents were infected with Virus X. A deadly virus that has cure by medical means. When his parents died he would have been next. Thats when Godzilla arrived. Shortly after Monarch arrived and found him under the house and Graham noticed the fins on his back." Emma said.
"I thought Sean called them spikes?" Korra asked making her snort.
"He can call them whatever he wants. Those are fins." Emma said making her giggle. "Anyway Serizawa made a promise to protect him when he adopted him and his brother. And I think in some way...Godzilla did the same for him. This is the first time in history the Titans have gifted humanity with their abilities. There are no legends of people with those powers. And according to my research...Those powers can be transferred to their children so I know they've never done this before." Emma said.
"Thats a lot to take in." Korra said. "How many other proxies are there?" Korra asked.
"So far we know about a small amount. You, Sean, David, Turok, Reznov, Julia, Livewire, Volcana, Killer Frost, Batgirl. More will show up soon enough." Emma said.
Meanwhile
At a restricted site in London was an old mine shaft that had been abandoned for decades.
Drones flew into the shaft to scan the place.
"What are they doing?" Korra asked.
"Scanning the mine shaft. We have reason to believe that a Titan lives in the shaft...And it's connected to the hallow earth theory." Sean said.
"Whats that?" Korra asked.
"Its this theory that there are passage ways the Titans use to travel quicker to other parts of the planet. Considering there have been times they come out of nowhere when the Kaiju attack it helps prove this theory." Sean said.
"What makes you think one is here?" Korra asked.
"Well...Radiation reading for one but...Theres something off about this one." Sean said.
"This is London right?" Korra asked.
"Yeah?" Sean said.
"Well...What if it's another dragon? I mean correct me if I'm wrong but isn't London full of dragon stories." Korra said.
"True. The Rainbow Dragon we know isn't the only dragon to exist in the world. But theres no to confirm if it is a dragon." Sean said.
However outside the city a boy with pale skin black hair and black eyes with an evil looking cat.
This was Klarion the Lord of Chaos who grins.
"Things are becoming far too boring for my taste. Lets have some fun Teekl." Klarion said making the cat hiss before he snapped his fingers.
Thats when a portal appeared outside the city before a large monster Godzilla's size appeared and roared loudly setting the city into a panic. (Picture the Gorog from Star Wars)
Meanwhile
"Oh what the fuck is that?" Turok asked.
"Klarion." Sean said.
"The Lord of Chaos?" Superman asked.
"I know of him. He's always causing trouble. Find Doctor Fate." Sean said making him fly off.
"We won't get there in time." Korra said.
"We may not need to." Sean said.
Back in London
The Gorog roared as it smashed it's way through the city as the people screamed in terror while Klarion watched with joy.
"Ah such sweet Chaos." Klarion said.
However within the mine shaft a pair of yellow eyes glowed before growling was heard.
As the Gorog continued to destroy everything in its path a powerful roar was heard making it stop.
Coming out of the mind shaft was a large black dragon with large wings for arms who roared into the air breathing fire before landing right in front of the Gorog who snarled. (The Bull dragon from Reign of Fire)
"And there we go." Korra said.
"Figures." Sean said as the two fought one another before the Gorog tried to smack it away only for a familiar roar to be heard making it look seeing the Rainbow dragon who roared at the Gorog.
"Hmph! I'd like to see them defeat my monster." Klarion said arrogantly.
As the two dragons fought the Gorog the Bull dragon started making calling sounds.
Thats when two more roars came from the mine shaft before two other dragons came out. One with White scales and blue eyes and the other with Black scales and red eyes. (Blue eyes white Dragon and Red Eyes black dragon)
"More?" Korra asked in shock.
"Oh so thats why the readings were strange. Theres more than one down there." Sean said.
The Gorog roared as it tried to smack them away but they dodged with ease.
The Bull dragon breathed fire at the Gorog making it roar in pain.
The Rainbow dragon roared before the jewels on its body glowed before blasting it with great power taking off the left arm making the Gorog roar in agonizing pain before the other two blasted the head right off ending its life quickly.
"Whoo-Hoo!" Korra cheered.
Klarion growled seeing his monster defeated so easily.
"Fine. I'll just buy my time before summoning another..." Klarion tried to say before he was trapped in a sphere shocking him.
"You are not going anywhere Klarion." Doctor fate said appearing.
"Oh damn." Klarion said annoyed.
Later
After that attack more dragons began appearing out of the mine shaft and began healing the area after years of pollution and such.
"Well, this proves the hollow earth Theory all right." Sean said.
"All those dragons were in one mine shaft?" Julian asked.
"More than that. We now have a fourth level for Titans. The Bull dragon has been classed as an Omega level Titan. It's below Apex." Sean said.
"And whats an Omega level?" Batman asked.
"The Omega Level Titans are Titans that lead their type of Titans. The Bull dragon leads all dragon type Titans. Technically the First Godzilla you all saw in the beginning is also in that category since he's the strongest of them all. There could also be other Titans with that exact same level. Few for sure but still there." Sean said.
"So out of all the Titans in that level theres the first Godzilla and now the Bull Dragon." Wells said.
"Wouldn't technically the Rainbow dragon out class him?" Korra asked.
"Technically yes. It outclasses the bull dragon but as a species itself he's in charge." Sean said.
"I guess that makes sense." Korra said scratching her head.
"Don't worry it'll make more sense over time." Wells said.
"So what happened to Klarion?" Reznov asked.
"Fate took care of him. We won't be seeing him for a long time." Sean said.
Later
Sean and Korra were coming out of a restaurant with the later laughing.
"Your joking. You actually blew off his arm?" Korra asked.
"Reznov was pissed. Practicing my atomic breath back then was a challenge. Fun but a challenge." Sean said making her laugh.
"So how many other proxies do you think we'll find?" Korra asked.
"There could be hundreds in a few years. As far as we know the titans are only sharing their powers with one individual each. People they feel are worthy of the gifts they grant. Like us." Sean said making her smile.
"And that power gets passed down to their kids?" Korra asked.
"Yup." Sean said.
Soon the two arrived back at the base before Sean escorted Korra to her room.
"Sean?" Korra said gaining his attention. "Thanks for cheering me up this past week. I really appreciate it." Korra said making him grin.
"I'm always happy to help." Sean said before she kissed him which surprised him before she closed the door making him grin.
"Oh boy." Sean said leaving for his room.
