Chapter 22 The Proxy of the Queen
Its been a couple months since Australia's Titan Gorosarus emerged from deep slumber.
And with him other dinosaurs from the age long before mankind came back as well. Proving once more there was far more to the hollow Earth Theory than originally imagined seeing countless possibilities. (Sora no this was not random. If you actually paid attention for a change this might make sense in your head like everyone else. Honestly no one else called it random but you. What does that tell you?)
Since then the lands had turned into lush green wilds from long before mankind. Even modern animals benefited from this change.
Of course Gorosarus kept the Predators in check from attacking human settlements which put people from the continent at ease.
Right now however though.
Sean slowly woke up from his sleep in his home in Australia with a yawn before turning around seeing Korra next to him making him smile as he kissed her making her smile as she woke up.
"Morning." Korra said as she kissed him as he held her close before he pulled back and got out of bed making her smile admiring his naked form before she sat up revealing her own naked body. Though the two slept together they still hadn't had sex since Korra wanted that to be special.
Right now Sean was looking at a monitor seeing the various dinosaurs outside Sydney who were eating plants.
"I'm still surprised we got living fossils here." Korra said looking at the monitor.
"Well...It proves the Hollow Earth theory is more than originally theorized. A world within a world. Gorosarus keeps them in line from attacking humans and most likely will also choose a proxy in time." Sean said.
"Yeah. Probably same abilities too." Korra said before an alert came up.
"Now what?" Sean asked before the monitor.
Only to see a pack of Raptors surrounding a woman.
She had white skin golden Amber eyes and Red hair.
"Oh thats not good." Korra said before she touching the head of the pack leader before it lowered itself down surprising them before they left her be.
"I think we just found Gorosarus's Proxy." Sean said.
Later
They soon found the girl who later introduced herself as Regina. (From Dino Crisis. I'm really hoping for a Remake since they've made Resident Evil Remakes)
"So let me get this straight? You were outside the city when Gorosaurus showed up and when he approached you you could just feel a connection to the dinosaurs?" Sean asked
"Basically. I've helped keep a large number of predators from coming near the city. They always listen to me." Regina said.
"The more Titans show up the more proxies do as well. At this rate its gonna be impossible keeping track of them all." Sean said.
"Why are so many people turning into Proxies for one Titan each?" Korra asked.
"A lot of theories are being put on the table for that. The most common one is that the Titans want to evolve the Human race further. Every Proxy has a few things in common. Immunity to disease. Enhanced strength and of course the powers and abilities of said Titans. Yours being to control the four elements and other abilities of the Rainbow Dragon. Regina now being able to control the Dinosaurs like Gorosarus." Sean said.
"I don't understand something. Why are they just now given their powers to us after so many years?" Korra asked.
"I think it's because of the amount of growing threats from outside the planet. Think about it. This planet has been invaded on a large number of occasions. They know they alone can't always stop invasions. So this is their way of protecting the planet by making more like them on a smaller scale." Sean said.
"That actually makes sense." Regina said.
Later
Regina was brought back to Monarch HQ to study her abilities before taking her back to keep the Dinosaurs in line.
"At this rate we'll never be able to keep track of them all." Randa said.
"You make it sound like we actually could. And that power is gonna be passed down from parent to child.
"And when that happens we're not gonna be able to keep track of them period." Emma said.
"For we do since as long as people like Luthor, Eiling and Simmons keep trying to find legel and Illegal ways to kill us and the Titans we have to keep them safe. At least Winters is dead since he was sentenced to death not long ago." Sean said.
As this was going on Diana was in Sean's room washing her face before she would head out on patrol.
Sighing she held her face not seeing glowing blue markings on her body before they vanished.
"Diana?" Sean asked walking in.
"Here to see me off?" Diana teased making him chuckle.
"Sorta. You ok? You seem a little...Off." Sean said.
"I don't know. I guess I've been feeling a little less of myself the last couple days." Diana said.
"Do you want me to take your shift? I don't mind if you're not feeling yourself." Sean said.
"I'll be just fine. Don't worry." Diana said before she left.
Later
Diana was on patrol in Metropolis.
"You ok?" Superman asked flying next to her.
"Not you too?" Diana asked.
"Your flying slower than usual. Are you ok?" Superman asked concerned.
"Look I'm just feeling a little less of myself the last couple days. It's no big deal. Maybe I'm just coming down with something." Wonder Woman said making him scoff.
"Right. When was the last time you ever caught something?" Superman asked.
"Ok thats fair." Diana said.
"Look if you're not feeling up to it I can take over until you're feeling better." Superman said before a few explosions went off below them.
"No time now." Diana said dashing down before he followed.
Both came down and saw that it was both Metallo and Parasite attacking people.
"I'll handle Parasite you take Metallo." Superman said dashing at him.
"So the famous Wonder Woman comes to face me. It'll be a pleasure killing Kruger's whore." Metallo said making her glare before dashing at him and started punching him into a wall.
While this was going on A spy camera was watching the fight.
Who was watching was none other than Lex Luthor.
"What are you trying to find here?" Eiling asked.
"Anything to be honest." Lex said.
Diana continued to deliver deadly blows against Metallo when suddenly she groaned in pain crashing to her knees.
"Whats this? Not feeling so well?" Metallo mocked before punching her away.
"Diana!" Superman yelled about to rush to her when Parasite slugged him away.
Metallo laughed as he pulled out a knife when atomic breath hit him making him groan as he slammed into a wall real hard.
Sean jumped down before standing over him.
"Metallo." Sean said snarling at him.
"Oh boy." Metallo said before a glow was seen making them look seeing Diana's body with glowing blue marks on her body.
"Diana?" Sean asked before her eyes glowed before holding out her arms and blasted Metallo's arms right off making him yell in pain before he shut down before Sean rushed to her and held her close as Superman finished Parasite.
"Whats...Happening to me?" Diana asked confused.
Lex and Eiling saw this and the former grinned.
"Very interesting." Lex said.
Later
Diana was getting scanned back at base as Sean stood above her with Korra next to him.
"Whats going on with her?" Korra asked concerned.
"I don't know. But those markings. They have the same glow as Mothra." Sean said before the scan was complete.
"Titan Radiation detected. Origin: Mothra." The Computer said surprising them.
"But that would mean..." Diana tried to say.
"That you're her Proxy. I always felt there was something strange about you and now I know why. Just as I am the Proxy of the King you're the Proxy of the queen." Sean said.
"Talk about a nice pair." Korra said making him grin.
"Still...I wonder when this happened since Mothra was underwater till the Greek Titans came back because of Hades." Sean said.
"I think we need to pay my mother a visit." Diana said making him nod.
Later
Sean, Diana and Korra were heading towards the Amazon island before they arrived and landed.
"Princess Diana and Lord Kruger." A guard said.
"It's just Sean or Kruger. How many times I gotta say I hate titles and formalities." Sean said making them giggle.
"Sorry. It's what we're used to doing."
"But why are you here? Is there an emergency?"
"That mostly depends on your definition. We're here to see Diana's mother about something important." Sean said as they walked to the palace.
"Diana, Sean...and who is this?" Hippolyta asked seeing Korra.
"Her name is Korra. She's the Proxy of the Apex Titan the Rainbow dragon of Africa." Sean said making her wave with a small smile.
"I see. Is there something you need? Or this just simply another visit?" Hippolyta asked.
"We need to talk in private so as for everyone...OUT." Sean said making the guards leave.
"Is something wrong?" Hippolyta asked confused.
"You tell us. You said you told me everything about Diana when I told you we were dating before the UN gave me permission to have more than one lover. Is there something you left out?" Sean asked.
"I have no idea what you're going on about." Hippolyta said confused.
"He's referring to this." Diana said as he body glowed making her eyes widen.
"Oh...That. I had my suspicions this might happen." Hippolyta said.
"You knew?" Diana asked. "That I was a proxy this whole time?" Diana asked.
"No not exactly." Hippolyta said before sighing. "It's time you knew the truth about your birth. As you are well aware our island has no men so we could not conceive children the same way Sean and Korra were born. So I sculpted you like All Amazons do who desire children when they find a loved one. However when I sculpted you and prayed to the gods nothing happened. So...I did something else." Hippolyta asked.
"And whats that?" Korra asked.
"You asked Mothra to help in this matter." Sean theorized.
"Yes...I prayed to the original gods for Diana to be born. Thats when Mothra appeared and the clay glowed before Diana was given life. I only assumed she was given life. I never assumed the queen of the Titans had also given her a portion of her powers at the time." Hippolyta said.
"Why did you never say anything?" Diana asked.
"Could you two give us a minute alone?" Hippolyta asked as Sean and Korra walked out before the door closed. "Diana...I said nothing cause it didn't matter. All I wanted was you. I never would have dreamed you would have gone to Man's world. And I didn't know at the time she gave you some of her power. Though I guess it makes sense. How did this happen?" Hipployta asked.
"I wasn't feeling well for a couple days. Sean suggested I rest until this feeling went away. But when I faced one of Superman's enemies...I felt sicker and suddenly stronger and then I blasted his arms right off. I was terrified." Diana said as her mother held her.
"I can understand that. Clearly these new gifts took time to manifest inside you. And now you have a chance to do even more good than you could as you were." Hippolyta said.
"Well...It does mean Sean and I are more alike now." Diana said smiling.
Later
Sean sighed se he held both Diana and Korra close as they were in bed with him.
"So how does it feel being the proxy of the queen?" Korra teased making Diana Giggle lightly.
"It'll take some getting used to but I can live with it." Diana said.
"Don't worry. It gets easier over time." Sean said.
Meanwhile
Eiling was walking to one room before it opened up as he walked in seeing various projects.
"I take it you've got some projects in the works?" Eiling asked before a person turned around revealing himself to be.
"But of Course. I do owe you from saving me from the Death penalty." Camron Winters said.
Eiling switched the chemicals used for killing those on deaths row and put him into a death like state. Then when he came to the people were told his body had been burned.
So now he had both Lex and Winters to help him do as he pleased.
Which only meant more trouble for Monarch and the League.
