Chapter 4 The Age of the Legion
It's been two months since Earth finally started to help against the Kaiju since Sean had a visit from Qui-Gon and his wife from the grave.
After that the Separatists and the Republic were reorganized into a new government known as the Legion which consisted of both armies of droids and Clones as well as Earth Defense forces.
And since the Jedi order was forced to disband for a new and more effective order that didn't make the same mistakes as before. The Guardians.
It was filled with those who were former Jedi who came after Sean left the order 15 years ago who did not approve of the council's blind view.
And Leading the Guardians was Anakin who was now the Grand Master of the Guardians.
And leading the Legion was Organa who was placed as Chairman of the new government since many supported him as the new leader.
As for the Senates the Military council suggested having their power limited during times of war.
Right now though.
Sean was at one of the weapons factories seeing the new Jaegers being built.
"I seriously cannot believe the Council ignored you if you can make stuff like this." Anakin said walking to him.
"Arrogance diminishes wisdom as the old saying goes." Sean said.
"Yup." Anakin said.
"So hows being the Grand Master of the Guardians treating ya?" Sean asked.
"Well, I decided to make a different approach on things. Theres three types of Guardians. Similar to the Jedi but very different." Anakin said.
"Such as?" Sean asked.
"Well the first is the combat type. They focus more on combat and military strategies. And they are allowed to make the harder choices when needed. Part of the reason we lost some battles was because of the code getting in the way. This way they aren't tied down. Then theres the ones who are the peace keepers. Focusing less on combat and more on negotiations. Trying to solve problems without violence." Anakin said.
"I see. And whats the third?" Sean asked.
"The third are those who keep an eye out for disturbances in the force. Reason we never caught onto Palpatine was because we weren't really looking for him. This group sees more into the force for things out of the ordinary. This way we're never taken by surprise again." Anakin said.
"You've done well. And since Earth joined the Legion the Kaiju attacks have been pushed back. There hasn't been one in almost a full week. No doubt because they aren't wining like they were before hand." Sean said.
"You know this war isn't going to end until we destroy the breach." Anakin said.
"Oh I know. By the way have you heard from Kenobi?" Sean asked.
"Yeah...He said he was going to Mandolore. Not sure why though. I mean they hate Jedi and now more since the truth came out." Anakin said.
"Oh theres a reason for that. I know about that old story since it happened during my day. Obi-Wan and the Duchess have a history. Probably went to...Rekindle an old flame." Sean said.
"Him?" Anakin asked amused.
"Whats that supposed to mean? You got married when the clone wars started." Sean said making him scoff in amusement.
"That was completely..." Anakin tried to say.
"General, Sir." Rex said approaching them.
"What is it Captain?" Sean asked.
"Chairman Organa is expecting you both in his office. Apparently theres been a development." Rex said.
"Understood." Sean said as the three left.
Arriving at the Chairman's office they found Organa talking with Pentecost and Grievous.
"Hello Grievous." Sean said.
"Ah Kruger. A pleasure as always." Grievous said kindly.
"Whats going on?" Anakin asked.
"Recently there have been Kaiju attacks on Tattoine." Organa said shocking Anakin.
"I thought the Hutts controlled that sector." Sean said.
"They used to. But after the Kaiju first showed up they wiped out the Hutt clans easily. Only a small few of the species remain." Grievous said.
"And the people are requesting our aid." Pentecost said.
"Well...This could help out with another invention I made. Have Ahsoka and the 501st meed us on the planet." Sean said.
"With pleasure." Grievous said as the two left.
"What kind of invention you talking about?" Anakin asked.
"A terraformer invention." Sean said.
"You mean like the kind that can transform a planet to something more specific?" Anakin asked.
"I do make other things than just weapons you know." Sean said.
"True." Anakin said seeing the things he made that ancient Sith would drool over to get their hands on.
"So what was that look you had when it mentioned your home planet?" Sean asked making him frown.
"It's complicated." Anakin said.
"You know if you keep something bottled down it becomes a problem later. Why do you think I let loose on the Jedi when they showed up again just thinking everything would be fine? Better to air out your grievances than let them stay hidden and ruin you in the future." Sean said making him sigh.
"Before the Clone wars and the Kaiju wars...I went back to find my mother. I had a vision of her in pain. I learned from my old slave owner he sold her off to a man named Lars who freed and married her. Tracking them down I found out Tusken Raiders kidnaped her. I tracked them down and found her." Anakin said.
"But it was clearly too late." Sean theorized making him sigh.
"I watched her die in my arms and I just lost it. I slaughtered the whole village and to this day I still regret it." Anakin said.
"Hmm. Doing something like that...Doesn't make you a bad person. Do you honestly think anyone else in the universe wouldn't do the same thing in your position if the mother or parent they loved died in their arms?" Sean asked.
"I don't know." Anakin said.
"I do. I would have done the same thing if it was my mother or my wife. It doesn't make you a monster...It just means your human. Letting your anger control you in a great moment of loss. Jedi claim your not supposed to have attachments or have emotions...But you all do. You all care for the galaxy in some way or another and for others around you and your fellow Jedi. But the arrogance blinded them to that. And now from their mistakes a new group has arisen that get better results and are not held back by arrogance." Sean said.
"Have you heard anything about the others who were forced to leave?" Anakin asked as they made it to the hanger.
"I know Mace is Organa's advisor these days. As for others like Mundi, Plo, Fisto and Koth. I heard the first one has been hit pretty hard since people are not happy about him being selfish for trying to get out of his duty during the medical center for finding cures for diseases." Sean said.
"Why was he in charge of that?" Anakin asked.
"They felt a Jedi running the place would make people work better. They did...But not on the more important things. As for Plo and Fisto I heard their in good conditions on their perspective homeworlds. Others like Luminara and some others I have no idea at the moment." Sean said.
"You can't say you want them to be in very bad positions." Anakin said.
"No. Some like Piel and Mundi sure since since both screwed me over." Sean said before getting into new fighters before taking off into a former Separatist cruiser.
"Ready to get underway sir." Rex said.
"Right. Lets get moving." Sean said as they went into hyper space.
Later
Arriving at the planet they went down into gunships before landing outside Mos Esly.
"Damn." Rex said seeing the place in ruins.
"This isn't related to the Kaiju completely. After the Hutts were wiped out here things got out of hand." Cody said.
"Not surprised." Sean said before they looked around.
"Theres no signs of life sir." A droid said.
"They must have fled the planet." Rex said.
"But we got a call for help. If theres no one here why are we here?" Ahsoka said.
Thats when boxes were thrown at them making them jump away before Sean looked seeing someone he knew.
"Koth...I do not liked being tricked." Sean said.
"Master Koth?" Ahsoka asked.
"You ruined everything Kruger. Disbanded the order just because you hold a grudge!" Koth yelled.
"You did that to yourselves! Blinded by arrogance not believing in true threats and just brushing them off and then covering up your mistakes. You guys did that not me." Sean said.
"Maybe so but the order will return when you're no longer around!" Koth yelled.
"Please. You're no match for me by yourself." Sean said.
"Who said I was alone." Koth said before a few other former Jedi appeared.
"Ok this is twisted." Cody said as the men aimed at them as did the droids.
"Uh...I thought we were finally on the same side." A droid asked.
"When the Republic and CIS were around sure. But now the Jedi are disbanded and the Legion took both places." Rex said.
"Troopers. Remember your allegiance. You obey us." A Jedi said.
"Sorry not anymore." Cody said.
"Pity. Kill them all!" Koth yelled as they charged in.
Only for Sean to pull out his four bladed lightsaber charging at them blocking most of their blows before Anakin and Ahsoka fought the others.
"YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!" Koth roared.
"No...You did that to yourselves. And instead of accepting change you remained chained to the past thinking you can do whatever you please. Not anymore." Sean said pushing him before before stabbing two others making them yell before he slashed off an arm making him yell as he fell down clutching his stump.
Anakin yelled as he stabbed the one he fought before Ahsoka disarmed the other before the troops stunned her.
Sean glared at Koth as he picked him up by the neck making him gasp for air.
"You would start a civil war just reinstate which doesn't work anymore. This is why people don't trust you anymore." Sean said.
"We can make it right." Koth said.
"It's too late for that. Everything else they could easily move past in a few years after each incident. But the Kaiju you not believing me or looking at the data like any sane person would do was the one no one could move past. Or the fact is that you had a Sith Lord right in your own government and didn't even know. That is what nailed the coffin in your grave." Sean said making him glare.
"We still could have done just fine." Koth said.
"You'll never change." Sean said.
"Pack up. We're leaving." Anakin said.
"Roger, Roger." A droid said.
Later
"So Koth basically sent out a fake call for help since the system had been abandoned for some time." Organa said.
"I can't say I'm surprised to be honest. I knew some wouldn't take this lying down but still." Sean said.
"Have you heard anything from the other former Jedi?" Organa asked Mace.
"Koth asked me to help rebuild the order but I didn't think he meant forced. I assumed he was gonna rebuild it to continue on our ideology. But clearly he wants to take down the Guardians and disband the Legion to rebuild the Republic to the old ways. Incapable of changing to something new and better." Mace said.
"We need to know who he's kept in contact with and if there are others who joined up with him." Anakin said.
"Well the kids we know are not part of it since they are being trained by the Guardians or went home having lost their faith." Sean said.
"So how do we know who Koth kept in contact with?" Ahsoka asked.
"We interrogate him." Sean said.
"That seems rather harsh." Organa said.
"We need to be. We can't afford a civil war during this War with the Kaiju." Sean said.
"We haven't had any reports on them since Last week." Ahsoka said.
"Doesn't matter. We still need to stop any issues that might get in the way. For all we know they could be planning to sabotage the Weapons factories just to make their point. Restore the order or suffer. We can't afford that." Sean said.
"I concur." Organa said.
Later
Koth screamed in pain as he was electrocuted by a torture droid.
"Thats all I know...I swear." Koth yelled.
"I should hope so." Sean said about to leave.
"If you hadn't disbanded our order...None of this would have happened." Koth said making him glare pulling him down and punched him a few times.
"YOU DID THIS TO YOURSELVES! NOT ME! Constantly lying to your order about the things you did you knew were wrong. Keeping secrets at every turn. Lying to the people to cover up your mistakes. I did nothing but expose that. You all did this to yourselves. And now look at you." Sean said making him sigh.
"We still could have made amends...Fixed the wrongs...If you gave us the chance." Koth said.
"Like you gave me a chance to explain why I told you the Kaiju were coming?" Sean asked making him sigh.
"We made a mistake...It just sounded absurd." Koth said.
"So has a bunch of other things that have happened in the past. And yet there it was. Anything is possible. Nothing is truly impossible...Just very difficult. At least Qui-Gon had the true heart of a Jedi. An order that did bring peace and hope...But ruined by people like you." Sean said dropping him as he left.
Later
A Clone cruiser arrived at Mandalore.
"Why are we here exactly?" Anakin asked.
"The Duchess wants to join the Legion to protect her people from the Kaiju. They are one of the few planets that have been holding them back but at great costs." Sean said.
"I thought Mandalore was peaceful these days." Ahsoka said.
"It was...Till the Kaiju war. After they showed up she had no choice but to reach out to those who embraced the old ways. Thats when we came in and she's hoping we can make sure we can bring back her ideas." Sean said.
"Oh." Turok said.
"Personally I'm hoping those who fought here could be used to help train new Pilots." Sean said as they got in a gunship.
"I wonder how Obi-Wan is doing here." Ahsoka said.
"Don't know don't care." Anakin said.
"Why he can seriously hold a grudge." Turok said to Ahsoka.
"Well, he did lie to his face about why your brother left." Ahsoka said.
"We can hear you." Sean said amused as they landed.
Soon they arrived at the palace.
Walking in the throne room they found Duchess Satine on the throne.
"Master Kruger. It is a pleasure to meet you." Satine said.
"It's just Sean or Kruger. I'm not a guardian or Jedi anymore." Sean said politely making her smile.
"Very well. I thank you for coming to Mandolore to help fight off the Kaiju attacks." Satine said before Obi-Wan walked in.
"Oh." Obi-Wan said. (I was gonna cut off the beard but then I looked up on Google what it would look like...Way better with than without)
"Kenobi." Sean said frowning at him.
"Perhaps I should come back later." Kenobi said.
"No. You can stay Obi." Satine said.
"Obi?" Turok asked chuckling as did Ahsoka. "What kind of messed up pet name is that?" Turok asked making Sean snicker as did Anakin while he sighed as Satine giggled.
"Very funny." Obi-Wan said.
Later
"I see your city is doing fine despite the attacks." Sean said seeing it with little damage.
"This was what has been repaired since the Kaiju showed up. When so many lives were lost I had no choice but to allow the old ways back for our survival. Governer Vizsla and I have an understanding. Our survival means anything required. I don't like it but as long as these Kaiju are coming through I must do what is best for my people." Satine said.
"I'm surprised you let Obi-Wan stay considering he tried to cover up what happened 15 years ago." Sean said.
"Obi-Wan is human and humans make mistakes. I could see he regretted his part in what happened." Satine said.
"Did he tell you he tried to cover it up on what happened?" Sean asked.
"Yes. He was afraid for the fate of the order if that information was ever made public. And you can see his fears were rightly founded since this is what happened." Satine said.
"Doesn't make it any better. Kenobi did nothing as he watched me get beaten in front of him by the Jedi Piel sent after me." Sean said.
"I know. He's regreted that for long time. Part of me understands why he didn't believe it. Monsters from another galaxy coming here. Anyone would have called it insane." Satine said.
"And you?" Sean asked.
"I would have at the very least looked at the data before making any claims on it. As would my sister." Satine said.
"You have a sister?" Sean asked.
"She's one of the many who prefers the old ways. Always was difficult for her to try anything new." Satine said.
"Not everyone is capable of accepting change. Koth and the Jedi he's been in contact with are proof enough of this." Sean said.
"Other Jedi?" Satine asked.
"Theres a large number of former Jedi who are hell bent on reclaiming their former titles and rebuild the Republic. Koth was one of them." Sean said.
Meanwhile
"You knew?" Anakin asked Obi-Wan about Koth.
"He came to me saying they were going to rebuild the Order and asked for my help. I refused though thinking they were just words." Kenobi said.
"Thanks a lot. We got attacked by him and his group before coming here." Anakin said shocking him.
"What?" Kenobi asked.
"Yeah. Tried to kill us so they could rebuild the order." Anakin said.
"Anakin I had no idea they would go that far." Obi-Wan said.
"And if you did would you tell us or keep it a secret or lie." Anakin asked.
"Thats not fair. I only lied about the one thing." Obi-Wan said.
"Which the cost the lives of a quarter of a million people. And you just expected him to let it go. Would you if you had been put in that situation? Being ridiculed, Humiliated and beaten just because You trying to prevent those lives from being lost?" Anakin asked making him sigh.
"Not so easily no." Kenobi said.
"I can hardly ever believe you used to be Qui-Gon's student. At least he knew what was right and wrong. And did something right." Anakin said shocking him as he left making him sigh.
Later
"So Obi-Wan did know." Sean said.
"Yeah. Just not about the part about them wanting to kill you." Anakin said.
"We know for a fact that theres at least a couple to few hundred Jedi who have formed an underground movement to rebuild the order and reinstate the Republic despite both systems don't work." Sean said.
"We need to get in contact with the other Jedi council members. Let them know the situation." Anakin said.
"No. Thats not gonna do anything. All of them other than Koth voted to have the order disbanded since it just didn't work anymore because they were blinded by arrogance. None of them will agree to help them. And any that do are just signing their death warrants." Sean said before the place shook.
"That doesn't sound good." Anakin said before a familiar roar was heard.
"Oh no." Sean said before seeing surveillance at the docks showing a Kaiju was attacking again.
Thats when a portal opened up before a Jaeger walked through getting it's attention before roaring as it charged at it.
"What do you call this one?" Anakin asked.
"Robo-47." Sean said. (War of the Monsters video game)
"Kinda looks old." Ahsoka said walking to them with Turok.
"It's one of the originals." Sean said.
"The ones we use are up to date in the latest technology. This is one of the older but still effective ones." Turok said as a missile came out the top of the head before firing and blowing the head right off.
"Clearly." Ahsoka said making him grin while Sean and Anakin saw the looks between the two and smirked.
"Wanna have some fun with them?" Sean asked making him chuckle.
"Oh yeah." Anakin said.
Later
"So the Jaegers will be constructed outside the City in a factory guarded by Mandolorian Commandos." Sean said to Satine and Vizsla.
"Oh course. Honestly though the Jaegers are only delaying the problem. We need to go into the breach and wipe them out." Vizsla said.
"While I abhor violence I also agree. We need to take the fight to them and stop them...Or close the breach for good." Satine said.
"We're working on it. I know how to fight the Kaiju...I just don't know how we can get through it though...Or where its main breach is." Sean said.
"Main breach?" Obi-Wan asked.
"Theres a main area where the breach reaches out in this galaxy. We're looking to find it. Once we do we need to find a way to get through since our probes when any other breach opened up were unable to get through." Sean said.
"So how do they?" Vizsla asked.
"Unknown but we will find out in time." Sean said.
"In any event it's clear the Kaiju attacks have been pushed back. And hopefully it will stay that way until we find a way." Satine said.
Sean soon walked out seeing the city with a grin.
"Beautiful isn't it?"
Sean looked seeing a woman with short red hair and green eyes and white skin in Mandolorian armor.
"You must be Satine's sister. Bo-Katen I believe." Sean said making her smile.
"Yeah thats me. Pretty impressive you made those things to fight those monsters." Bo-Katen said impressed.
"15 years is a long time. I'm surprised the Mandolorians aren't screaming for a chance to fight the Guardians." Sean said.
"We have no issues with them since they aren't the same as Jedi. Not by a long shot." Bo-Katen said.
"True. I hope to see you around more." Sean said as a gunship arrived before he and the others got on before leaving making her grin.
"I see someone has feelings for the Galaxy's most intelligent mind." Satine said amused making her blush before glaring.
"It's not like that. I just find him interesting." Bo-Katen said.
"Uh huh." Satine said amused making her scoff walking away.
"You know...I kinda hope she doesn't." Obi-Wan said.
"Why's that?" Satine asked.
"Cause then I'd have to suffer Sean being my brother in law." Obi-Wan said dryly making her laugh as she looked at the engagement ring on her finger.
"Too bad." Satine said making him sigh.
Later
Sean arrived back home and smiled seeing Shaak Ti with Sam.
"How was Mandalore? Get attacked in the streets?" Aayla asked making him scoff.
"Very funny. But there was a Kaiju though. Easily destroyed though...And found Obi-Wan." Sean said.
"Sean it's over. The Jedi are disbanded. You don't need to hold that grudge anymore." Aayla said.
"Maybe. But it's hard to let things go." Sean said before hearing Sam laugh making him grin.
"You know...I've been thinking. I've noticed how other girls seem to have a thing for you." Aayla said grinning.
"What are you trying to say?" Sean asked curious.
"I'm not opposed to sharing." Aayla said making him widen his eyes.
"What?" Sean asked.
"Besides I think Sam would like the idea of having a larger family." Aayla said making him look seeing her with Shaak Ti making him smile.
"That was a cheep move and you know it." Sean said making her grin. "You sure you're ok with this?" Sean asked.
"Sure. Besides...I'm still the head wife." Aayla said making him snort.
Author's note: Now things are getting interesting. A small band of Former Jedi want to rebuild the order and the Republic despite both systems were flawed but don't care. And now Sean's getting his harem. The Harem will be revealed once the poll reaches 100 votes. Right now though Shaak Ti Is in the lead followed by Bo-Katen and Chuchi. Not surprised.
