Here we are in the ending of the physical tests part. I hope that you guys enjoyed the first part. I really can't wait to get to the first villain encouter to spice things up more. What have you guys been thinking about Izuku's progress so far?

Chapter 21: Physical Tests Part 2

The next part of the physical tests is the grip strength detectors. Each student will squeeze a device that indicates their total grip strength. A muscular student with a mutant type quirk that gives him web like arms gains the best grip strength. The student with the tail looks at the device with wide eyes.

"Holy crap! His grip strength is five hundred forty kilograms!"

Izuku is impressed with the amounr of strength shown from the muscular boy. He notes that the boy's quirk seems to change his physical capabilities. He held his own grip detector with an odd look look at it. He couldn't decide if he should use totoal concentration or his inner flame. Aizawa flashed through his mind and the boy shivered.

'I guess this is a moment to use both and see how far I can get.'

He thought to himself. The last time he tried to use total concentration and his fire bending it left him very winded. He was so exhausted that he couldn't move for almost an hour when he got home. He takes a good stance like how Rengoku showed him and inhales slowly. Kyoka hears the change in Izuku's breathing and looks at him curiously. Izuku squeezes the device slowly but doesn't look at the score.

'Alright, just keep up total concentration. Add the flame...now!'

The air around Izuku noticeably got warmer. Small wisps of fire flew off of him when he added fire bending to total concentration. He squeezes the device more until he can barely feel his hand. His lungs feel like they are burning up. His arm and hand are feeling numb. He lets out the breath he held and breathes heavily to calm his heart. Everyone is looking at him in slight concern.

The boy catches his breath and looks at the device. His eyes widen at seeing his grip strength. The device reads four hundred fifty. He nods happily with the results and places the device back on the table. Ochako was still trying to squeeze her device to get a better score than her first try. Kyoks used her hand plus her jacks to squeeze the device.

-Standing Long Jump-

The class gathered in front of a sand box for the standing long jump. The first person at the line is a blonde boy who talks in a weird way and wears a strange device on his stomach. He says something about how sparkly he is and turns away from the starting line. The class quickly gets out of the way when the device starts to glow. Izuku watches in interest as the boy jumps with the device shooting a laser beam propelling him backwards. He easily clears the sand box leaving some of the students surprised.

The next student in line is the girl with the frog like quirk. Izuku tries not to chuckle at the irony of the test for her. She gets on all fours preparing her jump. When she leaps she easily crosses the whole sand box to everyone's expectation. She stands up while everyone claps at her result which makes her blush. She jumped so far that she almost went more than half the sand box past the finish line.

'I wonder if she could have gotten farther.'

Izuku thought to himself while watching her go to the back of the class. The next student to go is the kid with purple balls on his head. He started pulling the balls off of his head and placing them on the ground. The balls grew back instantly when he pulled them off. He made a small circle with the balls while filling it in then got some distance. He ran and jumped on the balls launching himself a good distance along the sandbox.

'Interesting, the balls appear to stick to the ground and each other but not him.'

The greenette thought to himself. More students did the jump getting mixed results. Some of them didn't have a quirk that could really help them physically. It finally got to Izuku's turn to make the jump. He already knew how he was going to make the jump. Iroh taught him how to extend his jumps and to practically run on walls with fire bending.

Izuku walks up to the starting line and steps back a few feet. He gets into a running position waiting for the starting noise. The sounds goes off and he takes a breath while running to the starting line. Once he jumps he waves his arms and kicks his feet so that fire propels him forward more. He holds his breath as he keeps the flames going until he clears the sand box. When he lands he tucks and rolls into a crouching position.

"Woah, he can almost fly!"

Ochako shouted with Kyoka nodding in agreement. Some of the other students are also impressed at the display of power. Izuku walks back to the class with a big grin on his face. Katsuki is glaring at the greenette with an intense glare that would make one's spine tingle. The other students continue with the test so that the next one can begin.

-Repeated Side Steps-

All of the students plus Aizawa couldn't believe what they are looking at. The short boy with purple balls on his head is currently bouncing back and forth between two piles of said purple balls. Izuku noticed that the balls that are removed from the boy's head seem to stick to any surface when removed. The interesting part is that the boy himself is not affected by the stickiness but is rather repelled by them. Aizawa sighs and motions for the boy to move on.

Katsuki is walking up to the lines marked for the side steps with his hands letting out small pops. He crouches for a moment and then with multiple semi-loud explosions goes back and forth from the lines. Izuku took in a breath activating total concentration so that he can focus more on Katsuki's movements. Kyoka's ear phone jacks start to pick up the difference in Izuku's breathing making her curious as to what he's doing.

Izuku can see that despite Katsuki's powerful explosion quirk, he isn't going as fast as the shorter kid with the purple balls. Once the timer goes off the explosions stop and everyone can see black burn marks left on the ground. A small robot rolls in to clean up the mess so that the next student can complete the test. Kyoka taps Izuku on the shoulder with one of her jacks getting his attention. She leans in to whisper which makes the boy blush a bit.

"Hey what was that with your breathing?"

Izuku is baffled that she can tell the difference between normal breathing and total concentration breathing. It took him a lot longer to notice the difference in breathing whenever Rengoku performed the technique. He then sees the girl's earphone jacks and nods in understanding.

'Do her jacks allow her to have better hearing than others?'

He thought to himself. Kyoka waits for him to answer until she sees the boy place his hand under his chin in thought. Before she can ask again Izuku starts to mumble softly but quickly to which she couldn't understand him. All the other students look at the muttering boy in confusion as he lists off possible ways that Kyoka can use her quirk.

Aizawa notices the class surrounding Izuku without his knowledge. The man walks over to the group in curiosity and hears the muttering coming from the hero fanboy. Ochako makes her way closer to Izuku and covers her mouth to mask the giggles threatening to escape. Aizawa stands in front of Izuku activating his erasure quirk making the boy stop muttering. Izuku can't explain it but his body feels like it's missing something.

'What the? What's happening?'

The boy looks around in confusion and sees Aizawa and the other students looking at him. Aizawa hands him the ball with a look of boredom. Izuku blushes a bit at the looks he got from the other students and takes the ball from the teacher. The man points at the circle while deactivating his eraser quirk. Izuku notices that the man's hair seemed like it was floating for a moment and that a light had vanished from his eyes.

'Was that his quirk in action? How has no one realized that before? Probably too busy trying to figure out why their own quirks aren't working.'

The boy thought to himself. He walked to the circle trying to figure out how to use his quirk to throw the ball faster. He looked over to Kyoka who gave him a double thumbs up. He smiles back at her and looks at the ball in his hand.

'Maybe using fire bending and total concentration I can send the ball a good distance.'

He thinks to himself. He thinks of how to use power along with speed to give the ball a good throw. Then he remembers the electricity part of his quirk. If he uses the power and speed of electricity instead of fire maybe it'll work better. He takes a stance with the ball held low.

"Alright, just like charging your phone but way more electricity."

He mutters to himself softly. He concentrates on generating enough electricity into his hand and wrist. As he throws the ball he lefts out a breath causing smoke to come out of his mouth. At the last moment of contact Izuku's hand ignited into flames along with the electricity still crackling. A sound like thunder striking is heard as the ball goes flying into the air. Everyone who didn't have the same entrance exam as him stares in shock at what just happened.

Katsuki stares at Izuku with a shocked expression. The thought of someone like Izuku having such a quirk and not using it while they fought enraged him. The blonde didn't like that he was holding back against him one bit. The tablet that Aizawa is holding beeps and he shows the ball traveled seven hundred fifty meters. Katsuki clenches his fist at seeing how much power the so called nerd has.

'What the hell was that?!?'

Izuku thought to himself in shock. He looks at his hand to see the small crackle of green electricity. Shaking off the feeling of how it felt to use both fire and electricity, he looks at the class and teacher. Aizawa has a raised eyebrow and some of the students are staring with different expressions. He walks back to the class but catches the look that Katsuki gives him.

The look clearly said something along the lines of 'This isn't over!' The boy let's out a sigh as Kyoka hits his shoulder playfully making him jump in slight surprise.

"What was that green? That was so sick!"

She says in excitement with a wide grin. Ochako jumps in with a big smile and waves her hands in the air.

"That was really cool! How did you make the thunder sound?"

Izuku shrugs his shoulders and smiles nervously. He has no idea how he combined the two parts of his quirk like that. Using the fire is so much different than using the electricity but for that one moment he was able to do it.

"I don't really know. That's the first time I was able to combine both parts of my quirk."

He said while looking at his hands. What he said caught the attention of the boy with a large scar on his left eye and a girl with a rather large chest. The girl approached him and points at him in curiosity making Kyoka a bit annoyed. Izuku is surprised that she would step up to him.

"Are you saying that you have a duel quirk? One that allows you to manipulate both fire and electricity?"

He is surprised at the question as he has also heard about duel quirks from his research. He didn't really think of his as a duel quirk until she asked. It makes a lot more sense, but how did he get electricity? He can understand the fire and larger lungs coming from his father.

"I'm not really sure. I grew up thinking that I only had a flame quirk but the electricity came not too long ago."

This information caught Tenya, Kyoka, the weird french blonde boy, and Ochako off guard. From the way that he was able to take down the zero pointer it looked like he had been training the electric part of his quirk for a long time. Unbeknownst to them, Izuku was using the fire part of his quirk to lightening bend. The rest of the students continued with the ball test with Ochako getting the highest score of infinity because of her zero gravity quirk.

The rest of the physical tests fly by as there wasn't much room for using their quirks for them. At the end of it all the class is standing in front of a large screen that is calculating the scores. Izuku is nervous but knows he did well enough to not be in last place. Katsuki is watching the screen with calculative eyes waiting to see his score against Izuku's. The rest of the class is watching, some more nervous than others.

Once the scores are shown all the students scramble to see their names and what place they got. Izuku frantically searches for his name from last place going on up. He sees that he is not in last place and let's out a sigh or relief. What shocks him is that he sees his name in fourth place just below Katsuki who's in third. The blonde looks at Izuku with hatred in his eyes at being so close to his score.

In last place is a girl who's quirk makes her completely invisible. The only thing you can see that allows you to tell that she is there is the gym uniform that she is wearing. You can hear the sound of her freaking out and on the verge of tears. Aizawa walks up to the class with a shit eating grin on his face.

"By the way I'm not really going to expell the person in last place. I only said that so that you will all do your best and go beyond plus ultra."

The invisible girl lets out a sigh of relief but then starts to shout at the man for playing tricks. The dark haired girl with the large chest looks at her in disbelief as the other students also didn't like the idea of what he did.

"You actually believed him? I thought it was pretty obvious that he was bluffing."

She says matter of factly. Everyone looks at her with a grim expression, including Izuku. Based on the score board and her behavior Izuku deduced that she is Momo Yaoyorozu who got first place using her quirk to create anything she needed to beat each physical test. Izuku thought about it for a moment and just decided to let it go. He's glad that he managed to make it into his dream school so he wouldn't let anything ruin it for him, not even Katsuki.

And that ends the physical tests and chapter 21! I'll admit that I got a bit lazy and didn't want to make the whole score board with all the students names but just think that it's similar to the original with my added changes.
