For once in her life Melinoe is glad to be doing absolutely nothing for once, the fight with Nyx absolutely exhausted the sorcerer goddess but she refused to sleep even the slightest. Before she thought that she would have been celebrating her victory over the Underworld but this victory felt bitter sweet. She didn't want to hurt Nyx but she had to leave for her sake, but now that Melinoe won where does she go from here? Well there's three options.

Option One: Go find Hades, Persephone, and Zagreus. She has absolutely no leads on where they might be, Nyx didn't know where they might be, and worst case scenario they have completely forgotten about her and they shoo her away.

Option Two: Go find Hecate, her return spell didn't work at all when she first came to the modern era so it's likely to assume that the Crossroads are no more. She remembers Nyx saying Hecate went to the surface, but that's all she has to go off of so like her parents she has absolutely no leads to go off of.

Option Three: Return to Japan and Jujutsu Tech, Geto when telling his somber tale mentioned both Nemesis and Eris becoming Jujutsu Sorcerers. Eris is definitely a no go as likely she would be hunted down as a curse user, so maybe she could find Nemesis and she'll have a lead about where her family or Hecate are. But then there's the case of Itadori Yuji, Chronos wants Sukuna dead but the king of curses won't truly be defeated unless Yuji consumes all 20 fingers. But still she really doesn't wish for Chronos to take over her body should Yuji let Sukuna out.

As much as she wished to find her loved ones immediately, going on a wild goose chase did not seem like the greatest use of her time. So with a heavy heart she decided that she needed to head towards Japan after all she not only owes Nyx an apology by finding her two lost daughters, but she owes Gojo, Yuji, Nobara, and especially Megumi an apology as she died right in front of his eyes. If it was her in that situation she probably would have been blaming herself till the end of the universe.

But now comes the question, how does one get to Japan all the way from Greece?

She can't exactly walk across water or swim all the way to Japan, especially not in the current state that she's in. But she already has that problem covered with a certain Chthonic deity that sails the departed off to the Underworld.

Charon was always a mysterious figure in Melinoe's life, there's never been a moment when she's seen him take a break from sailing through the underworld or selling items at his shops to help her in her adventures through the underworld. Nyx's final words before being taken by the Styx was calling her Goddess of the Dead, but how much weight did that really hold? Apparently enough to receive a ride from Charon himself, not for free of course. She didn't have enough Obols to afford a ride to Japan but the sorcerer goddess was surprised to hear he accepted any type of currency so she asked how much a trip was going to cost in yen.

10000000 Yen to make it to Japan.

Okay, that's a lot of yen she does not have. But what if Melinoe said that a friend would gladly pay for the trip once she's able to meet with him? Thank the gods Charon agreed because he knew Melinoe was good for it… Gojo is absolutely going to hate her…

So that's where we are now, our sorcerer goddess rides the Boatman's vessel towards Japan as a new chapter in her quest begins. All the while Melinoe stares towards the sky awaiting the arrival at her destination in Japan. Now a trip this far would likely take a day or two when traveling by boat, but Charon isn't the Ferryman of the underworld for nothing. He was a very busy man and being away from the Underworld for even one trip would cost him a pretty coin. His boat moved at speeds no other vessel could ever hope to reach as a veil protected the two from being seen and the harsh winds from traveling at such speeds. According to him the trip would take around two hours so Melinoe had to get comfy.

As they moved across the seas Melinoe was taken in by the sights of the world they were passing by even if she could only see them for a few minutes before they were out of sight. A part of her wishes she could experience the surface world now that she has been given another chance at life, she never did get to see the outside world all too much and in the modern era that humans live in. But that doesn't matter, she has a duty to tend to and she can't be bothered with distractions so she forces those thoughts out of her mind, she's too busy to focus on such trivial things.

Two hours later the Boatman had arrived in Yokohama, his boat stopping at a location far from the eyes of the public so no one could spot them. Especially not Jujutsu sorcerers because throughout his travels to the surface, more than once has he been mistaken for a curse and he rather not deal with such issues when he was in a hurry. Melinoe hopped off the Boatman's vessel and looked at him to give her thanks for taking the journey all the way over here. "Charon, I can never thank you enough for helping me out. I'll call you over once I've received the money to pay you back."

"Gguuuuuuhhhh…"

"With interest?! What do you even need the money for anyway?"

"Hhhaaaaaahhhhh…"

"Alright alright don't worry it shouldn't take more than a day or two. But once again thank you… I bid you farewell on your travels."

"Grrrhh…"

"A gift? This won't cost me extra won't it?"

"Hrrrghhh…" The Boatman reassured her as from a box he keeps on his boat he gave the princess an orange sweater, some sunglasses, and shoes.

"Oh I almost completely forgot! I wouldn't want to receive any unwanted attention from the mortals who live around here." Melinoe quickly wore the gifted clothing that fit her surprisingly well, the shoes she wore must have been magic since they didn't seem to burn with her scorched feet. As long as she kept her left hand in the sweater pocket no one should be able to tell that she wasn't human and she hopefully won't encounter any problems in the meantime while she makes her way back to Jujutsu Tech. "Thank you Charon. For everything."

"Grrnngghh, hrraaauuuggghh...!" Charon's boat quickly sank into the sea and disappeared from sight.

The goddess waved the Boatman off with a smile as she turned around once more to make the walk back to Jujutsu Tech. She felt somewhat rested after traveling with Charon so just in case she needed to come face to face with a curse she would have just enough strength to handle it. But after a few minutes of walking Melinoe quickly realized… she has absolutely no clue how to get to Jujutsu tech…

You'd think she'd have it in her magic sack right?

The day she left for that special grade mission she forgot it on her desk, so no phone to check where she was.

She can't use obols to buy a train ticket and even if she could trade it for money she once again doesn't know where to find said exchange places.

The best she could do was guess where even Tokyo was but that's when the idea sprang in her head.

Curses!

Jujutsu Sorceres often respond to curses though they are short staffed, maybe if she comes across a curse infested area she could wait there for a sorcerer to come by and even if it's not one affiliated with JujutsuTech they could possibly tell her where to go. Best case scenario she finds someone like Gojo or any of the other first year sorcerers.

Melinoe set out on her quest to find curses, completely letting her instincts guide her on where to go.

Her instincts led her absolutely nowhere as for two hours she has been wandering aimlessly with not a curse in sight. She began to grow increasingly frustrated, the up here air was hard to get used to as it was constantly blowing and moving compared to the underworld's stillness. She might just need to sit down and take a break, Melinoe walked to a bench and let out a deep sigh as she pulled out a bottle of nectar. Melinoe had stashed a bunch of these away for her escape since this underworld delicacy wouldn't be able to be found anywhere else, and it's not like she could brew this stuff without golden apples or a cauldron. So she decided to hoard a bunch of Nectar and Ambrosia until she could properly make some more. Honestly, Nectar is better with others, the taste is nice but it feels better when she has someone to enjoy it with. Gojo would absolutely love this stuff, often she used to see him with a snack or sugary drink so he probably would have been in love with Underworld nectar.

It's now just occuring to her, how is she going to reintroduce herself to her fellow sorcerers? She can't just walk in and act like nothing happened.

"Hello everyone sorry I tricked you all into thinking I was dead for more than a month but I've returned!"

They would probably all despise her for the rest of their lives if she pulled something like that. Maybe luck would have one of them in trouble and she could swoop in almost as if she were a guardian angel? No, what were the chances of that happening? Maybe she's overthinking it, either way she feels awkward about meeting back up with them about everything that happened during that special grade mission, especially when it comes to Itadori…

Everything was silent for a few moments, the only sounds being the wind of the surface air blowing by…

Melinoe heard the sounds of hard thuds created by someone's boots, by the sound of it and by how frequent the steps were someone was in a hurry. Melinoe instinctively jerked her head towards the sound of running as the person zipped right past her with inhuman levels of speed, she only had time to notice the dark purple outfit they had on and the pink hair on their head. That dark purple was the same shade of purple a Jujutsu Sorcerer uniform would have, and that pink hair they had… there's no one else it could possibly be but she had to make sure.

Melinoe got up quickly and ran as fast as her exhausted body could take her but she did not have the energy to keep up with the speeding sorcerer, a few minutes of following his residuals of cursed energy Melinoe's sense for cursed energy started tingling as looking towards the distance was a large dome of darkness. She couldn't help but remember the same one that the assistant used all the way back during that special grade mission. Upon closer inspection she could conclude that it was indeed a veil but no one was around on the outside so the one who summoned forth the veil must be on the inside. Her plan was to find a sorcerer and move on from there so here goes nothing, does she just walk in or something…?

Placing her finger against the veil it was almost like touching water in a way, the sorcerer goddess stepped forth and entered the veil. The once bright blue sky of day turned to a cloudy moonless night upon entering she could easily determine that this was a school but more importantly she could immediately sense the cursed energy of others in the area and the sound of glass cracking told her exactly where to look. That pink hair… It was Itadori! A mass of flesh has him pinned against a window, she's not gonna sit around and watch, she has to race over to help him now! He's two stories up so she has to run through the stairs to come and save him, just hold out a little longer friend…

When Yuji heard the news about the veil over Junpei's high school his first instinct was to head over there immediately, even when Nanami and Ijichi told him that he's forbidden to go, Yuji didn't care. His friend was in trouble and by any means necessary he had to make sure that he would be okay, Yuji ran as fast as he could that day managing to run past blocks within seconds. The world around him was a blur as he passed through the streets at possibly the fastest he's ever made himself run in his life. Once he reached the curtain covering the school he wasted no time running inside the veil.

Yuji ran to the closest person his cursed energy could sense, Yuji pushed open the doors to a gymnasium and the sight drove him sick to his stomach. Students were on the floor hopefully passed out that one fat teacher he met yesterday along with Junpei trying to wake kids up, meanwhile Junpei had someone he'd never met being choked by what he could presume is a Shikigami controlled by Junpei, Junpei's victim had purple spots all over his arm as it was spreading to his face so he must be poisoning him.

"JUNPEI WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

The Shikigami user looked towards him and told him with a deadpan stare as Junpei's Shikigami looked towards Itadori. "Stay out of this Jujutsu Sorcerer…"

The two clashed throughout the school as Junpei used his Shikigami he referred to as Moondregs to defend him from Yuji's powerful blows. The jellyfish-like Shikigami protected its master acting like a gooey shield as Itadori is unable to do any sort of significant damage to Junpei but he is able to push him back.

"Get outta here Jujutsu Sorcerer!" Junpei yelled with pure anger in his voice. "This has nothing to do with you!"

"That's not for you to decide!" Itadori's cursed energy began to manifest in his fists.

"What's the point of saving lives indiscriminately… Don't you overestimate the value of a life!" Moondregs tentacles shot out at the Jujutsu Sorcerer and encased him in its blue gooey mass of tentacles with the intent on suffocating Yuji. The pink haired teen tried to fight his way out but to no avail as the mass of tentacles trapped his body and a portion of the hallway "People always like to pretend that their emotions are everything… But the heart is the metabolism of the soul, it's all an illusion! Don't restrict me based on rules that are all an illusion. What gives anyone the right to stop someone from taking a life? Nothing does, now go take a nap over there… there's something I still have to do."

Junpei walked away from the trapped sorcerer expecting Moondregs to be enough to handle him as he went to go back and deal with one of his bullies. He was caught off guard by the hand of Itadori tightly grabbing the back of his mother's old jacket. The window on the top floor was shattered by Itadori punching Junpei's Moondregs as it pushed him to go crashing out the window, Moondregs was summoned below him to break his fall as he bounced off his jellyfish Shikigami and onto the roof of a shed.

Why wasn't Moondregs Poison working on Itadori? Why is he getting in the way…? Why… WHY?!

Junpei recovered back to his feet to see Itadori jumping down to come chase him. He was in mid air so he shouldn't be able to dodge, right before he lands Moondregs was going to strike him with its tentacles . But Itadori was a better fighter than he looks and using his superhuman strength smashed the shed roof as he landed, sending a shockwave to blow back Moondregs tentacles.

"Junpei…I don't understand a single word you're saying!" Junpei looked shocked as Yuji ran up with his cursed energy flaring through his fist "String together whatever kind of logic you want. But all you're doing is trying to convince yourself you're on the right side of this…"

Itadori landed a clean uppercut to Junpei and sent him through the second floor window as the sorcerer jumped up there himself to give chase. "I don't know why you're doing this Junpei but you must have a reason. But is it really worth throwing your whole life away!?"

Junpei was silent for a moment, all he could think about was his mother and how much he loved her. She was the only positive influence on his life and was now gone forever, he felt as if there was nothing left worth living for. Junpei started to break down as tears ran down his eyes while sobs broke free from his mouth.

"The human heart is just a delusion?! CAN YOU REALLY SAY THAT TO YOUR MOM?!"

"People don't have hearts…"

"You're still just trying-"

"THEY DON'T!" Junpei yelled with a mixture of his sobs. "If they really have hearts… then that means… that means… that people with hearts cursed me and my mom! If those people had hearts then that would be -sniff- too much!" Junpei called forth his Shikigami behind him. "I wouldn't even know what's right and wrong anymore…"

Moondregs attacked Itadori as the Jujutsu Sorcerer stood still and allowed Junpei to attack him. Junpei had an expression of regret as Yuji gritted his teeth from the pain. "Why… didn't you dodge…?

Yuji walked towards Junpei slowly as blood dripped out from his wounds. "I'm sorry… I said a lot of arrogant things without understanding you." Itadori crouched down to the crying Shikigami user and with sincerity he spoke "But you can talk to me, I promise no matter what I won't judge you, Junpei."

The two talked together, Junpei vented his emotions onto Yuji Itadori who listened to his friend talk about all the troubles he's had in life. Yuji felt awful for him but he has a duty… a duty to save everyone including Junpei. "No way… your mom…" He learned about Nagi Yoshino's death earlier this morning. Someone put one of Sukuna's fingers in his home and his mother had to die because of it. Junpei was trembling at this point and he couldn't blame him… "Junpei come to Jujutsu High. There's crazy strong people there who would be happy to teach you, and awesome friends you can trust. If we all work together we can find out who cursed your mom, then you can make them pay for what they did!"

"Let's fight together!" Itadori told the crying Junpei. He wanted to give him some semblance of hope, his life didn't need to waste his life here getting revenge. He could have a second chance, a new reason to keep going. He never wants to let another person lose their life under his watch and certainly not Junpei's.

The sounds of feet tapping on the ground were heard as Yuji quickly looked up to see who it was. It was some strange person, they had disheveled gray hair and two different colored eyes. He had a black shawl on with matching black pants, but what was most strange about him was his patchwork skin. It chuckled as it walked down the stairs, something was off, this thing didn't feel human… it feels like…

"Vessel of Sukuna." Its arm began to transform into a much larger and grotesque limb.

"No Mahito don't do it!" Junpei shouted as it was clear to Yuji that Mahito was a curse as it used his transformed arm to pin him against the wall. That patchwork like skin… it's obvious that was the curse Nanami told him about, the description was one to one with how Mahito looked.

"Junpei, run! I don't care what your relation with this guy is but please you gotta run!"

"No wait Itadori, Mahito isn't a bad gu-" Junpei's words fell flat as his brain started to put together the pieces. All the transfigured humans, the abominations Mahito would create…

Mahito placed his hand on Junpei's shoulder "Y'know Junpei, you're a pretty smart kid. But sometimes, over-thinking things can lead to more mistakes rather than impulsiveness. You, my friend, are a perfect example! I'd even say that you are just as foolish as those you call fools themselves."

"And that's why… you'll die…"

IDLE TRANSFIGURATION.

Junpei's skin began to turn blue, his skin started to transfigure and bubble up as he leaped out of his clothes and took on a monster like appearance as the only thing about him that kept any sort of semblance of Junpei was his hair. Yuji looked on in horror as he was powerless to stop the transfiguration process, Mahito had let him go as he commanded his transfigured friend to attack Yuji. "Now, time for round two!"

"Junpei…"

The transfigured Junpei rushed down Yuji Itadori and landed a powerful punch to the gut. He began to land a flurry of punches but Itadori restricted him by putting him in a headlock. "Snap out of it Junpei! I can heal you!"

But the transfigured Junpei didn't listen as it began to punch Yuji's liver, there was only one person he could call on to help. By all means he despises them but he has no other options…

"Sukuna… SUKUNA!"

A fanged mouth began to form under the slit beneath his left eye as the distorted voice of The King of Curses began to speak "What is it brat?"

"I'll let you do whatever you want to do to me and I'll agree to any twisted thing you can think of, just please heal Junpei!" Yuji screamed out of desperation.

"I refuse."

Mahito was surprised to hear Sukuna refuse Itadori despite him being desperate enough to do anything to heal Junpei. But from Sukuna's perspective it confirmed Yuji forgot about their binding vow they made in order for Yuji to be resurrected "How very amusing! You're giving up your pride, your future, and yourself all to grovel at my feet and beg for my help! Haha, by yourself you can't save anyone! How pitiful! You can't be any more pathetic you sorry little punk!"

Sukuna's kackles began to grow louder in Yuji's mind. Mahito watched in amusement as his plan was to have Yuji give his body up to Sukuna and form a pact. But maybe the power was beyond him to restore the shape of one's soul, after all reverse cursed technique can't fix his idle transfiguration. Oh well, his objective is what comes next, Sukuna's laughter was infectious to Mahito, so much that he couldn't help but join Sukuna in taking pleasure from his vessel's despair and began to laugh.

"Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha! Hahahaha!"

How could Yuji forget…

These two are and will always be curses…

The transfigured Junpei fell to the floor clutching Yuji's clothes. His weak voice spoke to the Jujutsu sorcerer one final time. "... Yu… ji… help…" Junpei's transfigured body collapsed as the light faded from his crying eyes. An image flashed in Yuji's head, a possible future that could have been possible… one where Him, Fushiguro, Kugisaki, Melinoe, and Junpei could have been sorcerers together. Being a sorcerer was hard but they could all get through it together… But alas that future would never come, and he blames no one but himself.

Mahito was still laughing at the misery they caused Yuji as Mahito wiped a tear from his eye "Oh? Dead already?! I must have transfigured him too hard, oh well."

A cursed infused punch hit Mahito square in the face. The patchwork skinned curse landed on their feet at the top of the stairs. "Nice hit, too bad it won't work on me as long as the shape of my soul remains the sa-"

Blood poured from Mahito's nose making their words fall flat. How struck the shape of their soul as well as their body, how was that possible? Could it be… Yuji is a vessel, therefore his body houses two souls, so naturally... "Could it be? You are actually aware…of the outline of your soul?!"

The output of Yuji's cursed energy was intense, shadows hid his face excluding his right eye but it did nothing to hide his rage. Any bits of composure he had left his body flew away with the wind, what was left was pure unadulterated killing intent. The next words that came out of his mouth came from so deep within himself, that it made everything he had said up to this point sound like a complete lie…

"I WILL KILL YOU!"

Those were the first words Melinoe heard from Yuji as she ran inside the school to offer assistance. She didn't think she even hear him right because would Itadori of all people really say something like that? What's going on…?

The fighting between him and whatever curse he was up against made Melinoe run faster as she could hear the sounds of destruction coming from the two on the higher floors. Melinoe made her way up the stairs but stopped herself as she caught the glimpse of some sort of monster.

She went closer to examine it, presuming it was a curse at first but upon closer inspection she was horrified to see that it wasn't a monster, its soul was… human.

Could this be the power of that curse, to change the forms of humans and manipulate them? Judging by the tears in the transfigured human's eyes, it must have suffered in pain, it must have been horrifying to become transfigured like this but she's too late to be able to find a way to save him…

All she could do was make sure he passed on in peace. "In my name I grant the passage to Elysium, may you rest in peace…"

Melinoe stood back up looking down at the poor soul who had to endure this pain. She has to excorsize this curse before any others end up like this poor boy, it's her duty as goddess of the dead to make sure that mortals will depart from this world in peace…

Melinoe heard the sounds of concrete being destroyed as she looked up to see Yuji falling out of the school building. He was able to land on his feet but tendrils with drill-like tips created by Mahito chased down the young sorcerer. Yuji put up his arms to block but the tendrils to then see a woman phase through a wall and intercept those tendrils, the hooded woman struck the tendrils with a flaming dagger and sickle as she landed in front of Yuji. She flipped back her hood and took off her sunglasses as she turned to Itadori who's eyes were the size of dinner plates. Her green hair that was topped with a laurel fiery wreath, her heterochromic eyes of green and red. Not to mention the two blades she used were a silver dagger and sickle, her presence felt different than the last time he met her but Yuji would never be able to forget her face

"M…Melinoe but… how are you…?"

"I'll tell you later, we are exorsizing this curse here and now." Melinoe told Yuji as she took off her sweater and kicked off her shoes so she could be more comfortable fighting. Yuji could see the difference in her almost immediately, without knowledge of what she went through in the underworld he just presumed she had been working out.

"Right!"

Mahito dropped down and was intrigued by the arrival of a new toy he could play with. "Now who are you supposed to be?"

"Melinoe, The Goddess of the Dead." Melinoe put up her arm and closed one eye as if she was aiming for Mahito.

The patchwork curse chuckled at that statement not taking such a bold title seriously, much less believing she was a goddess in the first place. "Really? You of all people? I'd say you'd take the cake for the funniest thing today but breaking this kid has been way more fun."

"Itadori go in, I'll be right behind you."

"Got it." Itadori ran towards Mahito who began to transfigure his own arm into a spiked flail. Melinoe with the replicated powers of Hestia, she got a fireball from her hand at Mahito which he tried to avoid but the fireball exploded once it got near him and ensnared him in a cast ring. Mahito felt the pain of the cast ring's scorch effect but it did not hurt the shape of his soul so he did his best to ignore the pain and focus on Itadori as he swung his flail arm but Itadori was quickly to catch it and as the ring under Mahito exploded he was able to punch him right in the stomach making the curse almost vomit out blood. But Mahito only smiled as he transfigured his body to manifest spikes that stabbed right through Itadori and created several holes across his body. Itadoir spat out blood as Mahito placed his hand on the sorcerer's heart.

"You can't beat me even with your friend. So give up and swap out with Sukuna."

IDLE TRANSFIGURATION

Everything from Mahito's perspective turned red, trying to transfigure Yuji's soul brought him into the domain of Ryomen Sukuna. The King of Curses sat on a pile of skulls as he looked down upon the patchwork skinned curse in disgust, almost as if he was offended by Mahito's mere presence alone. "You dare attempt to touch my soul? We shared a laugh at this brat's expense so I'll give you a pass this one time. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AGAIN… FOOL."

Mahito's face was stricken with fear as they were completely scared stiff, Itadori took advantage of this by grabbing Mahito's head and said to them "I'm not swapping out… I already told you… I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" Itadori smashed his head into Mahito's as the impact was enough to concave the curse's face as blood began to splatter as Itadori continued headbutting him. He headbutted him seven more times before Mahito's spikes disappeared allowing Itadori to roundhouse kick his head. Melinoe came back in to fight alongside Itadori once more. With both infused fists and blades the two were prepared to strike the patchwork skinned curse until it was shown to be just a decoy as both of the sorcerer's strikes hit nothing but the clothes Mahito once wore.

Melinoe's body reacted on its own and shoved Yuji away from a spiked mace limb aiming for his skull. Melinoe braced for impact Mahito's attack was intercepted by a blonde man in a business suit wielding a cleaver encased in spotted wrappings. Mahito backed away from the arrival of what Melinoe could only assume to be a sorcerer.

"Nanami…?" Yuji asked in surprise of his mentor coming in to save him and Melinoe.

"I'll scold you later, Itadori. What's the situation?" Nanami asked Yuji.

"I failed to save Junpei… and his mom…" Itadori looked down as Melinoe felt terrible for Itadori. The difference between the boy she knew when she first came to this cursed future compared to now was night and day. He must have been through a lot and she'll be sure to ask about it later.

Nanami couldn't help but question why he's always thinking of others first when that clearly isn't the information he needs right now "I wish to know about your physical condition first."

"I'm fine, but I am kinda full of holes."

"That is anything but fine, Itadori!" Melinoe shouted in concern.

"And who is she supposed to be?"

"Melinoe." Itadori informed Nanami, "She's that girl I told you about, she's on our side."

"Melinoe, can you fight?"

Now that she thinks about it… her body feels like it has been rolled over by 20 bawlders all at once. Two hours is nowhere nearly enough rest to go fighting a curse, but when has that ever stopped her really? She's been through worse, she could handle one measly curse. "It's all I've ever done."

Mahito's hands transfigured back to their normal human shaped hands, seeing Nanami once again has him excited yet cautious. Three sorcerers just to handle him gave him an ego boost "You're looking good Mr.7:3. I'm glad we're both still alive, how about a hug for our little reunion." Mahito's nose began to leak a tiny bit of blood which Nanami was quick to take note of after his last altercation with this patchwork skinned curse.

"Itadori, why is his nose bleeding?" Nanami was quick to ask.

"I punched him." Itadori answered.

"When?"

"When we started fighting."

"Did he touch either of you?"

"Only Itadori." Melinoe told the grade one sorcerer.

"My attacks don't affect him, and I'm going to assume your friend here doesn't have anything that can hit him so."

"HUH?!"

"I'll explain later."

As Nanami took the information into account he was able to deduce some things, the patchwork curse attacks either don't affect Yuji, or they have a motive to keep him alive. Whatever the reason is he does not know but the fact of the matter is they can use this to their advantage. "Melinoe and I can stifle his movement, then once we have an opening we can unleash all our might upon him. We'll exorsize this one here and now."

"You got it!"

"So mote it be." Above her head spun the boon roulette as the blue wheat reed was displayed giving the sorcerer goddess the replicated freezing cold of Demeter's harsh winters.

Mahito's left arm transfigured into a jagged blade while their right one was given an eye in the middle of their palm. Their plan was to keep an eye on Itadori while trying to kill Nanami and Melinoe. Mahito ran towards the three sorcerers and lunged at Nanami, seeing him as the bigger threat of the two that couldn't hit his soul. Nanami ducked the curse's attack as it began swinging its blade and dodging Itadori's punches while clashing with Nanami's cleaver. Melinoe's luck could have not been more perfect to get Demeter's replicated boons as she was able to freeze the curse with Ice Strike, the freeze gave Itadori the ability to land powerful blows on the curse but they usually would break Mahito free and there was a cool down to the rate at which an opponent could be frozen for. Mahito tried to break free from being surrounded by jumping into the air and transfigured his body to shoot out hardened spikes, Itadori and Nanami were able to break the spikes but Melinoe took a hit as her exhaustion prevented her from being able to react fast enough. Too bad for Mahito, Melinoe had replicated the boon Snow Queen and the spikes broke off of her body as she knew she had to be more cautious now that her one invulnerability was gone.

The three began shaving away at the weaker spikes of the patchwork curse until Mahito refigured his body back to his normal form where the three advanced on him intending to land a triple killshot right here. A large dust cloud was made from their attack but they realized they hit nothing as Mahito took the form of a small child and ran away from the three sorcerers. The two new arrivals were annoying but Yuji was their natural enemy and their win condition for this fight, if Mahito was going to live through this they were gonna need a distraction. They transfigured back to normal and cupped his hands as they threw up three transfigured humans they kept inside of themselves just in case. He tossed them towards the pink haired sorcerer and commanded them to kill Itadori as three little transfigured Humans jumped Yuji Itadori.

Melinoe wanted to go help but she was distracted by Mahito as they transfigured their arm into a jagged blade again, they went for a lethal slash that cut straight through concrete. Nanami was able to duck it in time and Melinoe phased right through with a dash. Itadori did his best to kick the little transfigured humans away from him as he ran to get away from them, a part of Melinoe said to herself that she needed to go help him but this curse was most likely not gonna let her leave to go help Yuji. Her muscles begged for her to stop and lie down as the adrenaline was only doing so much to keep herself from collapsing.

"I knew it, he couldn't kill humans." Mahito examined out loud.

Melinoe grew sluggish and Mahito took advantage of that. They didn't care about the cast ring formed around Melinoe as long as they kept up the assault on the both of them. Nanami attempted to intercept but using their transfiguration Mahito smashed a giant arm into Melinoe sending her tumbling away while using said giant arm to restrict Nanami against the wall. "Y'know I think I'll have them fight you next, sorcerer." Mahito taunted Nanami. "You think he'll cry then too? He's a foolish little brat that can't separate expectations from reality."

"You're wrong about that." Nanami didn't hesitate to snap back at Mahito. "He's already in the process of making that distinction. If anyone here's the fool…"

Mahito felt the cold stabbing pain on their back as Melinoe was able to teleport to Mahito with the power of the sister blades and froze the patchwork skinned curse. "It's you."

Yuji broke through one of the top floor windows of the school as he crashed down onto Mahito's giant transfigured arm. Mahito was shocked for one second and amused in the next, did Itadori really kill those three transfigured humans?! Nanami recovered and was about to strike Mahito with his cleaver, all they needed to do was change and-

Itadori socked Mahito clean in the face as Nanami was able to land a 7:3 strike with his cleaver. But the sorcerer assault did not let up, Melinoe joined in stabbing and slicing at Mahito's back with her weapons leaving shivers down their spine. Their strikes bounced Mahito all over the place, over to Yuji, over to Nanami, over to Melinoe, over to Yuji, over to Nanami, over to Melinoe, over to Yuji, over to Nanami, over to Melinoe.

They didn't give Mahito even a split second to change their form or create a substitute, could this be… could this be what death feels like?! What an inspiration this was! The pain felt absolutely euphoric, this is what they have been waiting for to finally pull it off!

The three sorcerers attacked Mahito with all their might looking to end the fight here and now. But none of them could see the new transfiguration as Mahito opened its mouth as their eyes rolled to the back of their head. Two pairs of hands formed in Mahito's mouth.

DOMAIN EXPANSION: SELF EMBODIMENT OF PERFECTION.

Shadows of hands formed from the ground as they began to push Yuji away, Nanami and Melinoe tried to back off but were too slow as Mahito had trapped them within his domain. They were taken to a black void where hands began to form together sprouting like flowers as they began to form a net like shape with an ever expanding mass of hands around the two trapped sorcerers.

"Crap." These Were the only words Nanami had on his mind in this situation.

"Blasted… not again…" Melinoe began to clutch her head.

Mahito couldn't help but feel overjoyed they finally found the inspiration to make their Domain Expansion work, he was in a state of pure and utter bliss.

Yuji on the outside desperately punched the black shell containing Mahito's domain as hard as he could but he wasn't able to leave a dent. "You gotta be kidding me!" But why leave him out? Why did they only trap Nanami and Melinoe, it didn't make sense…

Inside a domain all of the user's cursed techniques would be a 100% guaranteed hit, in the case of Mahito their cursed technique allowed them to change the shape of one's soul upon contact. So that meant inside of Mahito's domain, Idle Transfiguration would activate without the need for contact. Both Nanami and Melinoe were quite literally in the palm of his hand.

He should have just told the dead girl to high tail it out of here, at least she wouldn't have to die in front of Itadori twice.

Jujutsu Sorcerers fucking suck…

You force your comrades to accept sacrificing their lives willingly on a daily basis. It's why Nanami quit being a sorcerer in the first place, but even when trying to find a new path to take on in life something else became crystal clear. Working for a living fucking sucks…

He's never been the type of person to question stuff like what's his role in the universe or what was the meaning of life. He'd just make enough money to retire at 40 and go find some cheap country to live in for the rest of his life, maybe even find someone to settle down with. The four years he spent away from Jujutsu as a whole, the only thing he could think about was money. He wouldn't have to think about curses or other people as long as he had money… that office job ate away at him more than any curse could, what was the point of his job? Just to make rich people even more money? If he'd vanish from the face of the earth who'd even care? A bakery provides more to everyday life yet the people working in that bakery get paid less than he does, what sense does that make? It was only then when he exorsized a fly head off of the woman who works at a bakery he likes when Nanami heard the words he had been needing to hear.

Thank you.

Being a Jujutsu Sorcerer sucks but it's better than being a salaryman, a sorcerer actively made a difference. Those bits of gratitude here and there actively makes his job worthwhile and lets him live without any regrets.

SOMETIME IN 2014

Nanami sat at the outdoor seating of a cafe he frequents, he was dressed in a blue dress shirt he frequently wore along with a leopard print tie. his mind is leaning heavily towards becoming a sorcerer once again but he still has doubt in the back of his mind. The death of his friend back in the day Yu Haibara scarred him for life and was one of the driving reasons after he graduated Jujutsu Tech he'd quit and become a salaryman. Out of all the people he's been in contact with during his time in Jujutsu High, there's only been one person he's regularly kept in touch with, and by regularly he means once a month texts asking how things have been.

"Look at that, I was banking on you getting cold feet." Nanami looked up from the coffee he had in front of him. He had almost forgotten how tall Nemesis was, even others walking by couldn't help but look at the giant muscular woman in surprise someone like her could exist. Her outfit was simple as could be, a purple crop top that really was just a large shirt that to Nemesis was a crop top, and black pants she had ordered from overseas. But the one thing that stays constant about her outfit was the silver crown on her head with a purple crescent moon. According to Nemesis her mother gave it to her so it was special to her.

"I wouldn't be so inconsiderate of your time, Nemesis. You are a very busy woman after all."

"You bet." Nemesis sat down in front of Nanami. "Between teaching brand new sorcerers and handling jobs that Gojo is too busy to take, I rarely take breaks but I don't got much of a life outside of this job. I've been helping Tsukumo with this one kid named Todo Aoi, he's got a lot of potential and fights better than some of my third year students. He'll be coming to Kyoto in a year and I bet he'll be one of the best. Only problem is he's got a few screws up in his head loose and has a knack for beating people up over their type of woman, but you gotta be crazy to take up a job like this."

"How do you do it, Nemesis?"

"Do what specifically?"

"How do you continue to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer despite everything that has happened? I mean the Star plasma vessel, Geto and Eris becoming curse users, and the death of Haibara. All the deaths that happen under our watch? What drives you to continue down this path?" Nanami looked down upon thinking of the bad memories he'd have of being a sorcerer in training.

"...I don't have a concrete answer for you. My mother raised me to be the embodiment of retribution. We all get what we deserve, no more no less. This job allows me to fulfill my purpose but Jujutsu society is rotten at the core and I'd like nothing more than to bring justice down to the higher ups and the clans. But what's that gonna do other than bring in more corrupt higher ups, in all honesty I'm jealous that you were in a position to quit. But if it wasn't for me, who knows how many people would be dead from a powerful curse if I wasn't there to exorsize it, even with my gripes I have with Jujutsu Sorcerers and the culture around it… I know that there's people I've allowed to live another day at the sake of my life and that my students will likely do the same."

"I…think I get it…"

"Kinda hoping you didn't. Love to have you back but we're full over in Kyoto so you gotta go ask Gojo about being a sorcerer once again."

Nanami's face scowled but it wouldn't change his decision despite how much of a pain Satoru Gojo is.

"Oh yeah, you say that bitch's name around me again I'll send your 9-5 ass flying all the way to Sandai." Nemesis said as she had a glare that could take the soul outta someone's body. She grabbed Nanami's coffee from him and drank it herself, to her it was a punishment for reminding her of her backstabbing sister.

He'd forgotten that talking about Eris was sort of a sensitive topic around Nemesis to say the least. But either way it was this little talk they had together that confirmed the path he'd wish to take till the day he'd die.

BACK IN THE PRESENT

Nanami had no regrets, he accepted his fate at the hands of Mahito.

He waited…

And waited…

And… waited…?

He'd look over at the patchwork skinned curse and to his suprise they were still. He hesitated to make a move but as he looked over to Melinoe, she was also as still as Mahito. Not moving a muscle and not breathing but she looked different, golden scars riddled her body and her pupils were in the shape of clocks. What's going on…?

When Mahito's domain activated they had assumed the battle was flipped in their favor and they had won. But once they planned to transfigure Melinoe's soul time slowed down around them and they were brought in front of time itself. The scene was similar to the space in Melinoe's dreams, Chronos sat on his throne of sand and was amused by the arrival of a guest. The Titan of Time saw the fear in Mahito as this was eerily similar to the domain of Sukuna inside Itadori.

"I've been expecting you, Mahito."

"Who… are you?" The curse said out of character from the cocky sadistic killer he'd witness before.

"At ease, I intend no harm as long as you do not trifle with my granddaughter's soul at this current moment. I'm Chronos, Titan of Time." The Titan stood up and made its way over to Mahito. "I take pleasure in my granddaughter's failure but for what I have planned I need everything to succeed perfectly. Which unfortunately involves letting Skunua's vessel walk away from this confrontation."

"Whaaaat? Who do you think you are to order me around? I can still destroy you and your vessel with ease!"

"This is not a matter of me commanding you, I simply wish to help you and your group of curses. Simply put, without my influence, you five will be exorcized come October 31st and your dream of becoming the next human beings will die along with you. I've witnessed it myself and I come to you with an offer, I'll give you the knowledge to transfigure more than just measly mortals. But in return, you and your group will feed Sukuna's vessel more of his fingers. Once all 20 have been consumed, I'll end Ryomen Sukuna permanently. After all is said and done you 5 will be able to live in a new era, the next coming of the golden age."

"How does that sound?"

"Soooo either say no, fail and be exorcized. Or say yes and I get the knowledge to transfigure more? You drive a hard bargain titan, where do we start?" Mahito didn't even need to think about accepting the offer.

"First, I grant to thee the knowledge to transfigure time." Chronos poked Mahito's forehead with one of his fingers. The curse's head would start to throb almost if it was about to explode, the amount of information going through his head at near light speed was too much to take in all in one sitting that Mahito began to mentally writhe in pain on the floor. But at a certain point Mahito felt nothing, nothing but the realizations. Everything he has learned up to this point has been merely a teardrop in the sea of potential, even domain expansion couldn't compare to the possibility of everything they could do. He couldn't decipher much of what he's been granted but given the time to figure it out, nothing will be able to stop the next coming of the golden age.

"Now, let's hope he'll let you survive." Chronos chuckled as both Mahito and Melinoe were brought back to reality to see Itadori crashing through Mahito's domain. A domain is reinforced on the inside to keep prey in which it leaves the outside of the domain very weak because what's the point of crashing into a domain? Inside a domain like Gojo's Infinite Void and Self Embodiment of Perfection where just being inside the domain is a guaranteed victory. However, in the case of Yuji Itadori…

"Thought I'd told you…"

The king of Curses looks down upon Mahito on top of his throne of bones.

"There'd be no second time."

With a wave of his hand Mahito's soul was cleaved by Ryomen Sukuna, with no concern for anyone but himself he only lives for pleasure and displeasure. For Sukuna, whether Mahito lives or dies, doesn't matter at all. Only one person holds his interest, everyone else might as well be nothing more than the dirt he allows others to walk on. Mahito's domain was shattered and everyone was brought back to reality, no one knew what really was going on other than Mahito themself. It was only when Melinoe heard the faint sound in her ears going.

Tick…tick…tick…

She looked at her arms and saw the golden scars of Chronos begin to fade away, after a few blinks the ticking was gone. Chronos must have done something but it couldn't be to save her, never in a million years would he do such a thing so something must have happened. But to what measure she doesn't know…

Mahito's wounded body began to bleed all over the place as they were unable to transfigure their body to stop the bleeding. In 0.1 seconds of Mahito being downed the following thoughts went through Yuji's head.

Blood loss.

Limit.

Nanami.

Melinoe.

Domain.

Existence.

I'LL KILL YOU.

Itadori charged at full speed towards Mahito, the patchwork skinned curse was almost out of cursed energy. Firing off a domain was one of the most taxing techniques anyone can pull and was intended at a last resort. In order to live Mahito needed to use the last bit of cursed energy to escape, Mahito began to blow up like a balloon making Itadori question what it was trying to do. At this size it would be a guaranteed hit, this is his last chance… he has to put everything into this one divergent fist.

Itadori striked Mahito with his cursed energy infused punch as the curse began to ripple and look as if it were going to explode.

POP!

Mahito popped like a balloon and with no feedback on the punch, it definitely was a decoy. Slithering away was a small bit of Mahito planning to escape through the sewers as his distorted transfigured form waved back at Yuji Itadori saying "Bye bye"

Melinoe attempted to free him with Ice Flourish by throwing her dagger but Mahito ducked through the sewer vent. Nanami followed up and smashed the vent with his strength but alas it was all for naught as there was no sign of Mahito, meaning they were able to get away. Nanami grabbed his phone and dialed someone's number, it took a few seconds for the person to pick up but once they did Nanami told them "Ino, the target escaped through the sewers. Yes please intercept them southeast from here, he's been weakened heavily so it should be no problem to exorsize."

He hung up his phone and shouted "Let's go you two!"

Nanami was surprised to see that both of the vessels collapsed on the floor, it seems Itadori's wounds have finally gotten the best of him as he struggled to keep himself conscious after the adrenaline left his body. Melinoe who's been running on two hours of rest after fighting through the underworld, beating the furies, the bone hydra, Kashimo maybe…? And the goddess of night had finally gotten to her and while she was still breathing, she couldn't find the strength to keep herself awake. The last thing she heard was Nanami asking if either of them were okay as she passed to the land of dreams.

Melinoe didn't know how long she was out for but when she opened her eyes once more, she was greeted by bright lights shining into her eyes as she quickly pulled her right arm over to cover her eyes. The goddess sat up feeling quite refreshed in all honesty, not having to die in order to get some sleep felt nice for once but her body still ached from everything she had to do all in one day's time. The room she was in was a tiled white room various medical appliances littered throughout that the goddess wasn't aware of what their purposes were.

Melinoe got off of the metal bed she was placed on and looked around for a brief second to find Itadori resting right next to her metal bed. The goddess quickly ran over to Itadori in a panic, worried if he was okay after being pierced by that curse they fought not too long ago. But even though his clothes were punctured clothes she was amazed to see that Itadori was completely healed, and he was still breathing too so that means everything must have turned out fine in the end.

"What a relief…"

To her surprise Yuji's body began to shift as he slowly rised from his bed. Melinoe had a soft smile happy to see one of her sorcerer friends once more, but that smile quickly faded as she saw Yuji's mouth tremble and his eyes begin to well up. "Itadori…?" Melinoe asked in concern.

Yuji looked at Melinoe as tears streamed down his face "M-Mel… is that… really you?"

"Of course it is Itadori, why are you- oh!" Melinoe was suddenly brought in close by Itadori in a tight embrace as she could hear his muffled sobs. Melinoe patted the back of his head and returned his embrace. "It's great seeing you too, Itadori… I missed you."

"I…I'm -SNIFF-... so sorry Mel! I failed to save him!"

"It's okay Itadori let it all out… when tears well up let them spill forth; they're not so precious that they need be contained…" Melinoe knew Itadori needed her help more than ever at this current moment, it wasn't hard to figure out that he's been through a lot today. "Would you like to talk about it, Itadori?"

Itadori explained the story about what happened between him and a boy named Junpei. From how he described him she learned that Junpei was a troubled young man who was tormented by his peers frequently, his mother passed away yesterday due to a curse and it caused him to snap. Motivated by anger he sought revenge on the ones who tormented him, perceiving them to be the ones who cursed his mother. But it was due to that patchwork skinned curse they fought earlier that it transformed Junpei into a monster, that's when Melinoe remembered. That deceased monster with a human soul back in the school, that had to be Junpei. "Itadori know this doesn't change the outcome but I believe I was able to send his soul to Elysium. He won't suffer anymore than he already has, that I promise you."

Itadori sniffles died down hearing that information. "I believe you… again I'm really sorry..."

"It was of my own volition to use my power to send him there Itadori, it's alright."

"No it's not that… I killed you Melinoe, why are you here acting like nothing happened between us?"

"What happened that day was no fault of your own, my own anger got the better of me and Sukuna was the one that killed me. If it wasn't for you all four of us could have died, my death was merely just one in many I've had to endure."

"Is that really what life is to you?! To die over and over again then go on like nothing happened?!"

Melinoe wanted to say something but she didn't have a response to him so she just stayed silent. He was completely right, she's always been surrounded by the dead her entire life. Every time she'd perish in battle it's always just been an obstacle, it never truly meant anything to her.

"I've had to kill people today, I know death is inevitable but people should be able to die naturally… it's why I always thought about stopping others from killing, but now that I've done it myself… I don't even know anymore. Melinoe… What does it even mean to die naturally?"

"I… have no clue…" It genuinely hurt to admit, how can the new goddess of the dead not even know how to answer a question revolving around the dead "Throughout all my life it's never been more than an inconvenience, I was surrounded by immortals and those who've already departed. Death wasn't the end but merely a beginning, so in that sense I can't in good faith give you an answer… But I do believe in the good dying naturally and the wicked being punished. But trying to save everyone is an impossible effort, death comes for us all eventually and they aren't allowed to choose favorites. Your goal to lead everyone to a proper death is noble, if it wasn't for you Nanami would have likely perished and while I can't exactly remember what happened within Mahito's domain I know we were saved because of you. So thank you Itadori, it's because of you I'm still up here on the surface. Don't let anyone tell you it's not worth saving people, but don't try to get yourself killed in doing so."

"I'm sorry for yelling…" Itadori scratches the back of his head.

"It's quite alright, I think we've both been through a lot today. I'd be mad at myself too if I were in your position." Melinoe hugged her friend once again and Itadori returned the hug back.

HIGH IN THE MOUNTAINS

" Come to me… rest your head.

Warm within ocean's bed.

Rock and sway your worries down…

Ebb and flow, fast and sound.

Come, friends… don't be afraid

Come, my dears, pains wash away."

The voice of the siren Scylla sang to the audience including one resting Jogo who lucky enough for him, was able to survive his encounter with Satoru Gojo thanks to Hanami. Scylla's voice had a certain aspect about it that their group of curses could agree on, was miles ahead of any of the human musical artists, mostly due to the fact she wasn't human. It brought together the atmosphere of the hotsprings Jogo created with his presence alone as he smoked from a pipe created from a human head, Mahito can be really creative sometimes.

Stay with me, be at peace…

Fears, be still, troubles cease.

Hear my voice sweetly sing.

Lullaby… precious thing.

"Oh oh there your two are!" The once sea monster and the fire curse looked towards the two approaching entities in an excited Mahito and a casually strolling Suguru Geto, the only human they could really tolerate. Mahito's clothes came off as he ran towards the hot springs in a full speed sprint "SCYLLA, JOGOOOO!"

Jogo was splashed by the hot water seemingly annoying him but Scylla clapped and held up a sign with a ten she got from somewhere apparently. "Perfect form for Mahito!" Scylla cheered and clapped.

Mahito sat in the hot water feeling relaxed as he took notice of Jogo's replenished form "Hey, look at that you got most of your body back!"

"Yeah, this is a good place to rejuvenate. Humans don't come anywhere near here. Also because Scylla ate them." Jogo replied, taking another hit of his human pipe.

"Not having a body must suck huh? It makes self preservation so difficult."

"Mahito you barely got any cursed energy within you!" Scylla replied, swimming up to the patchwork skinned curse "Did a sorcerer getcha?"

"Oh, you can tell? Kinda, turns out Sukuna and his vessel are my mortal enemies. It all started with this new toy I came across by chance, but it didn't end so well. Maybe I should have kept him hostage and forced him to make a binding vow?"

"Unfortunately that wouldn't have worked either." Geto had spoken up "A binding vow is only entered willingly, forcing a vow onto someone is very difficult to achieve."

"Darn… well it wasn't all bad. In fact someone told me that losing that fight was actually beneficial to our goals." Mahito jumped out of the boiling waters as everyone looked at them in confusion.

"What do you mean Mahito?" Scylla got closer to the patchwork curse.

"Some green haired girl claiming to be the goddess of the dead showed up. I'm pretty sure she was a vessel of some kind but it wasn't a curse at all… He told me that he wanted to bring forth the golden age or something and gave me a bunch of knowledge. I don't really understand it now but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to transfigure time." Mahito explained so casually as everyone else was in awe of his claims.

"Goddess of the dead… golden age… transfigure time…" Scylla thought about those words and it clicked as she gasped "THE FINAL PROPHECY IS COMING TRUE!"

"What are you two on about?" Jogo asked, confused by everything he's hearing.

"Okay okay it's been awhile since I learned of this but there's these girls called the fates, they weave the threads that make up every single event in the universe. The big bad Titan of Time Chronos forced a contingency plan from the fates that in short ends the reign of mankind forever! So add that on with our plans to bring back Ryomen Sukuna, the day that curses shall reign over the earth is practically inevitable!"

"Well he did say that he wanted to kill Sukuna so what does that mean for us?" Mahito questioned.

"Does the result really matter? Both will bring the end of humanity leaving curses to take their place as the new kings of the world."

"If that is the case then I suppose we'll be playing both sides. I say at this point let's follow through with Geto's plan."

"Gather Sukuna's fingers and feed them to his vessel?" Jogo grew a sinister smile "Even if it means we are eliminated, correct?"

"Sounds like a wonderful plan!" Scylla said excitedly.

"Fine by me, it doesn't need to be me who's smiling in the end as long as curses emerge as the true humans.

"Then let us retrive the six fingers stored at Jujutsu Tech, shall we?" Geto asked his partners as he soon felt the buzzing of his phone. Taking a quick peek at his screen he saw it was a text from his wife Eris, unlocking his phone to check the message it displayed a photo along with text that for the sake of the rating on this story. Shall not be described with anything more than 'urgent business'.

Author's Notes

I feel like this is a nice place to stop, I wrote more than I thought I would so I can tell I'm getting back into the rhythm of writing.

More changes to the canon with Mahito's meeting with Chronos.

Next up is the Kyoto exchange event and I can finally write a funny scene with Todo I've been keeping in my head all this time. That and Nemesis meeting Melinoe for the first time in who knows how long, she's gonna have some choice words for Melinoe that's for sure and the inevitable mention of Eris will certainly spark some sort of conflict.

I also feel like I should explain Melinoe's Cursed Technique. Her innate technique allows her to receive the replicated boons of the olympians she's received blessings of in the game, so no Athena, Ares, or Dionysus boons. As funny as it would be to have Melinoe able to reflect Hollow Purple with Athena boons, she doesn't interact with them so womp womp.

Whatever god she gets is completely random just like the game, at the current moment she can't combine any boons together but it's subject to growth shall I find a way to keep it balanced. For information about the boons go look on the Wiki page of Hades 2. Apologies if I have confused anyone on her technique.

By the time I'm editing this, August 18th was my birthday and now I'm 19 wahoo.
