Chapter Thirty-Four

Brand new day. Sun was rising. The birds of the Demon Realm singing. And a sleeping Danielle curled into Luz. Yeah, Danielle was still regressed to what looked to be a three year old child. Stretching and yawning, Danielle slowly crawls out of bed and rubs her eyes as she leaves the room. Looking around, Danielle notices she's not in her house.

"Mom? Dad? Where am…" said Danielle, before crying. "Mom! Dad!"

"Huh… wha…" said Luz, waking up, snorting a little before spotting Danielle in the hallway. "It's okay. Come here."

"Stranger danger," said Danielle, crawling away and searching her person for something. "My whistle… where my…"

"It's okay, it's okay," said Luz, looking at Danielle. "I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm Luz, Luz Noceda. I'm… um… your babysitter right now."

"Mmmm," said Danielle, whining and scared.

"Look, puppy," said Luz, gesturing to King.

"You know I'm not…" said King, opening one eye before staring at Danielle. "Uh oh… Luz!"

"Puppy," said Danielle, crawling over before hugging King. "Fuzzy wuzzy."

"Ugh, no," said King, not liking the nickname and trying to get loose. "Aw, come on."

"How bout some breakfast?" asked Luz, looking at Danielle. "How do you like your eggs?"

"Scramblies," replied Danielle, staring up at Luz. "Or dippy."

"Got it," said Luz, gesturing Danielle to follow her.

"I need potty," said Danielle, carrying King.

"Upstairs it is then," said Luz, showing Danielle the way before seeing Danielle cling to the wall when climbing the stairs. "Here, I'll help."

"No," said Danielle, looking at Luz. "I'm good. I can do it."

"Oh, okay," said Luz, watching Danielle climb the stairs. "You'd go a lot faster without King in your arms."

"But I like puppy," said Danielle, hugging King. "He so warm and fuzzy."

"You're pretty good with your speech," said Luz, still watching Danielle.

"Mom and dad work with me," said Danielle, finally getting to the top of the stairs. "But I still mess up some words."

Taking Danielle to the bathroom, Luz helped her out. Even helped with brushing her hair and teeth. Afterwards, it was going back down the stairs which Danielle whined that they were too many. Finally on the first floor, Danielle was panting and clutching her chest.

"Danielle," said Luz, gasping.

"My chest hurts," said Danielle, whining a bit while clutching her chest.

"When did it start?" asked Luz, bending down to Danielle's level.

"In my sleep," replied Danielle, looking at Luz. "Sometime, it wake me up."

"I don't really know what to do here," said Luz, before picking Danielle up and heading towards the kitchen before thinking. "What did Danielle's mom do to help with her chest pains?"

"Moon pen," said Danielle, gasping when seeing a specific pen on the table. "Moon pen."

"Yeah, this belongs to a friend of mine. Actually, she has a lot of these from that anime," said Luz, grabbing the pen and clicking it before drawing on a piece of paper and activating the glyph. "Look, Light Magic."

"Magic…" said Danielle, gasping in wonder. "I wanna try."

"Here," said Luz, handing over the paper and pen. "You remember what I draw?"

"Hmmm-mmm," replied Danielle, drawing the Light Glyph.

"How is she?" asked Eda, walking over.

"Chest pains," replied Luz, looking at Eda.

"That's not good," said Eda, looking towards Danielle. "I still wonder what causes it."

"I know," said Danielle, wrapping the Light Glyph around the top of the pen.

"What is it?" asked Luz, bending down to Danielle's level as she giggled.

"Pink Sugar Heart…" said Danielle, activating the Light Glyph making the top of the pen glow, as everyone cooed at her, spinning before striking a pose at the end. "Attack."

"Whoa!" said Eda and Luz, as the blast sent Danielle into them, the attack going out the back door.

"… … …" said Danielle, before nervously putting the pen down before lightly patting her chest. "It don't hurt as much anymore."

"Kid," said Eda, making Danielle cringe in fear. "No, I'm not mad at you. That was… just… whoa."

"That was impressive," said Luz, looking at Danielle. "Are you okay?"

"My chest," replied Danielle, looking up at Luz. "It don't hurt as much."

"Huh… wait… are the chest pains…" said Luz, before looking at Eda. "Actually her magic?"

"You must have more magic than a normal person,' said Eda, looking at Danielle.

"But I don't…" said Danielle, looking at Eda.

"You actually do have magic," said Eda, looking at Danielle. "It must have gone into the pen as well alongside the glyph magic."

"Which begs the bigger question," said Luz, looking at Eda than Danielle. "How much magic does your little body have?"

"Don't know," replied Danielle, looking up at Luz.

"Well, anyways, let's eat," said Luz, picking Danielle up and placing her at the table.

Breakfast was pretty simple this morning. Danielle ended up humming throughout the whole meal and after. While Eda was cleaning the dishes, Luz was keeping Danielle busy by showing her the various glyphs.

"Uh, Danielle…" said Luz, seeing Danielle place the Healing Glyph on a different pen.

"Moon Healing Activation," said Danielle, sending the attack towards a withered plant. "I did it. I did it."

"Whoa," said Luz, seeing the withered plant become good as new before seeing Danielle grab some more glyphs and pens and heading outside. "Whoa, Danielle. No."

"Moon Scepter Elimination," said Danielle, before being blasted towards Luz.

"Okay, no more magic today," said Luz, grabbing the pen and glyphs.

"But my chest is feeling better," said Danielle, looking up at Luz. "One more, pwease… please."

"Mmmm, she's perfected the puppy dog eyes," though Luz, before sighing. "Just one more."

"Yes!" said Danielle, before looking at the pens and glyphs. "Which one?"

"She really loves that anime," said Luz, smiling at the scene.

"Rainbow Moon Heart…" said Danielle, making Luz giggle. "Ache."

"Whaa-aah!" shouted Luz, being blasted back into the house with Danielle.

"Weh!" said King, seeing Danielle giggle against Luz.

"I hope that made her magic go down to reasonable levels now," thought Luz, groaning. "I don't think I can handle anymore."

"I can't believe I'm saying this," said Eda, before bending down and staring at Danielle and Luz. "No more magic."

Unfortunately, Danielle really didn't listen. Throughout the day, Luz had to keep taking the pens away and hiding them. Though it didn't stop Danielle, as she remembered quite a few glyphs. A crack boom was heard during one of Danielle's escapades making everyone wonder where the lightning came from. Danielle though just tiptoed upstairs and hid under the blankets, hoping she wasn't caught.

Owl Pellet #67

A stray heart from one of Danielle's moves disconnects and floats throughout the isles. Coming upon the castle, the heart slips through the walls and windows before coming upon a certain room and slips on through catching Aster's attention, making him giggle slightly.

"Looks like the princess's magic is acting funny again. I wonder how she and the others are. They must be worried," said Aster, fingering the heart before it disappeared inside him. "Huh? What? Is this… I miss them. I want to see them again."

Owl Pellet #68

"Mmmm… hmm…" said Luz, turning over in her sleep, opening her eyes slightly before seeing Danielle wasn't next to her. "Ugh, Danielle has too much energy at this age."

Getting up, Luz heads downstairs. Going into the kitchen, Luz sees that Danielle isn't there. Nor in the living room. Though Luz does see that there was little red stains on Hooty. Silently chuckling, Luz heads up to the third floor. Checking the bathroom, Luz sees that Danielle isn't there either. Thinking, Luz comes to the conclusion of Eda's room. Heading straight to Eda's room, Luz spots Danielle near a sleeping Eda. Little small orbs of light, hovering close to Eda's hands. Luz could hear Danielle silently giggling as she painted Eda's nails with red nail polish.

"Now, what are you doing?" asked Luz, silently whispering in Danielle's ears.

"… … … hi," said Danielle, innocently staring up at Luz before getting up. "Bye."

"Not so fast," said Luz, grabbing and picking up Danielle before looking at Eda. "Eh, she'll see in the morning."

Owl Pellet #69

"What in the name of the Titan?" shouted Eda, seeing her nails before running downstairs to the kitchen. "Where is she?"

"Hi," said Danielle, waving at Eda before going back to eating her breakfast.

"You…" said Eda, walking over to the table pointing at Danielle. "You painted my nails."

"And my face," said Hooty, as Luz was getting the nail polish off him. "Scared the Coven Scouts away though."

"She did my claws," said King, holding his claws up.

"Well, I got off scot-free," said Luz, finally getting the remaining bit of nail polish off Hooty.

"Leave it on my beak," said Hooty, looking at Luz. "I still have to scare more Coven Scouts."

"But…" said Danielle, staring at Luz while holding her fork. "Your little piggies. I thought…"

"What?" said Luz, before sitting down and taking her socks off revealing her toenails being red. "Mmmm…too much energy."

"Ha!" said Eda, pointing at Luz as she puts her socks back on.
