Steve, Michelle and Natasha climbed out of Michelle's car. The three walked up to the only building that was standing on the property. "The signal is coming from here." Natasha said as she holds the coordinates and moves around, she moves to pick the lock and open the gates.

Steve looks around as he flashes back to his time as a private in training.

"This is a dead end, zero wavelengths, heat signatures, not even radio." Natasha said.

"I'm not liking this place." Michelle shivered, the place was abandoned and it was just plan creeping her out. "Steve?" She saw him studying the place.

"Amy regulations forbid holding animation to be within 500 feet of the bricks." He said as he looked around. "This building's in the wrong place." He moved to the building, used his shield and disappeared inside, Michelle followed, and lastly Natasha.

The three came into a wide space below ground. At the far end of the wall had the SHIELD letters.

"SHIELD?" Natasha asked.

"Where it started." Steve told her with amazement. Michelle approached a different wall with a line of pictures.

"Steve?"

He turns to look at her, then his eyes land on the wall. "Howard Stark." His eyes stayed on the picture of Tony's father.

"Stark? Any relation to Tony?" She asked.

"His father. A brilliant man." Steve's gaze stayed on Howard's picture. Michelle moved to the picture, she turns to Steve.

"You think Tony would like to have his father's picture?"

Steve shrugs. "I don't see why he wouldn't. Go ahead and take it. He'll accept it coming from you."

Michelle turns back around and reaches for the picture, pulling it off the wall. Opening her backpack, she slid the picture inside before zipping her bag up and placing it back on her back. "Tony may not care for his parents much, but he should have one to rant and rave at."

"Nothing is here." Natasha's voice had them turning to her.

"Over here!" Steve called. The girls turn to him as he's across the room. "If you're working in a secret office." He starts, then moves a bookshelf. "Why would you need to hide the elevator?" He asked after pushing it to the side. Surprised, the girls look at each other before moving to follow Steve as he entered.

The elevator slowly moved down. "I'm getting severe Jurassic Park vibes." Michelle shivered.

"I told you to not watch that movie." Steve said as the elevator stopped and opened to a dark abyss.

"And I regret every bit watching it." Michelle replied. Steve was the first to walk forward and the lights came on, resulting in Michelle suddenly zoomed and latched onto him like a frightened cat. The trio approaches a large and ancient computer.

"Hello, Flintstones." Michelle said as she slides off Steve's back and moves forward with the drive, she plug it into the port. That started up the systems and rotators.

"Institute System?" The computer spoke.

"Yes." Michelle typed into the computer, that caused the computer to hum to life.

"Shall we play a game?" Natasha asked in a creepy voice, Michelle shivered jumping backwards bumping into Steve.

"Nat please." Steve looked at the red head.

"Sorry."

"Rogers, Steven, born 1918." A man's voice spoke. "Romanoff, Natasha, 1984." The voice continued. "Kaioh, Michelle, 1984."

"It's a recording." Natasha said with shock.

"I am not a recording Fraulein!" The man's voice said sounding insulted. "I may not be the same man when Captain America took me to prison in 1945, but I am." A picture of a man with glasses on appeared on a small screen.

"Arnim Zola, he was a German scientist that worked for Red Skull. He died years ago." Steve said as he walked around the computer.

"The first correction, I am trace!" Zola spoke loudly. "Secend, look around you. I never have been more alive." He excitedly spoke. "In 1970, I was diagnosed with a terminal illness, science could not save my body, but my brain. That was worth saving. On 200,000 data banks. You are standing in my brain."

"That's not very sanitary." Michelle said with worry. "How'd you get here!?" She demanded with ice in her voice.

"Invited."

"Operation Paperclip, SHIELD recruited scientist with strategic value." Natasha explained.

"They thought I could help their cause." Came Zola's cold response, he continued to explain how HHYDRA started to take over SHIELD since the end of World War 2 and how HYDRA was starting to take over everything. Steve was getting overwhelmed and angry, he soon punched the computer screen.

"As I was saying." Zola appeared on another screen.

"What's on this drive?" Michelle demanded, approaching the screen.

"Project insight, an algorithm I designed." Zola answered with pride.

"What does it do?" Steve demanded.

"It's fascinating, but sadly you'll be too dead to hear it." Zola said, and the elevator doors began to close, Steve threw his shield to try and stop it, but it bounced on the door and around the walls before returning to him.

"Steve, we have a boggy, three short range missiles." Natasha said as she looks at her phone. Michelle quickly grabs the drive stick from the panel.

"From where?" Steve asked, looking at the girls.

"SHIELD." Natasha looked horrified.

"You see, I have been staling." Zola proudly spoke. "Admit it, Captain, it's better this way."

Michelle shoves the drive into her jacket pocket and was able to zip it up just as Steve yanks a grate off a drain. Michelle jumps in first, followed by Natasha.

"You are out of time." Zola spoke just as the missiles hit, Steve jumps down the grate and moves his shield to block the blast, he grabs both girls holding them to his chest as the three hunker down as the building explodes all around them.

Once the danger was over, Steve grunted as he tries to climb out of the grate, setting his shield down he turns back around and starts to pull out a knocked out Natasha, moving to gently set her down, he moves back to the grate to reach for Michelle and pulls her out, he gently places Michelle over his shoulder, then picks up Natasha.

It was a struggle, even for the super solider to carry both unconscious women and his shield out of the building. Once outside, everything was on fire, including Michelle's car as it's not recognizable.

"Steve?" Natasha whispered, he looks down to see her looking up at him.

"Are you ok?"

"I think so, just a little dizzy."

He knelt down to set her down, when he did Michelle slid off his shoulder and landed in a heap in the grass.

"Stay like Steve." Natasha said as she moved to pick up Michelle. "I'm gonna place her on your back."

"Good idea." He nods, Michelle is then placed on his back with her arms over his shoulders, he grabs her legs to place them around his waist. Once it was comfortable that she's on his back, Steve stood up, still holding her legs.

"What'd we do now?" Natasha asked, looking around

"Back to the city. I know a place … I hope."

Sam Wilson just returned home from a jog, just as he was about to take a drink from the bottled orange juice that he'd pulled out of the fridge when there was a knock on his back door. He moves to the door and opens the blinds to find the disheveled trio. He opens the door to see all three looking like hell, and a still knocked out Michelle on Steve's back.

"I'm sorry about this, but we need somewhere to lay low." Steve desperately said in a apologetic voice.

"Everyone we know is trying to kill us." Natasha added.

"Not everyone." Sam stepped back with the door, allowing them entry. Once they were in side, Sam pokes his head out then closes the door, and to fully proof it he looked out the glass on the door before closing the blinds.

"You can lay her on the couch here." Sam told Steve as the two stood in his living room.

"Thanks." Steve gently laid Michelle down on the couch, he places the couch pillow under her head carefully as Sam moves to the hall and a minute later he's walking back unfolding the blanket and gently places it over Michelle.

"The bathroom is down the hall." Sam gestured to the hall.

"Thank you Sam." A grateful Steve nods, he reaches grabs Michelle's backpack to pull out one of the new shirts Trista had just bought him.

As Steve and Natasha moved down the hall, Sam looked down at Michelle. He moved to his kitchen, grabbing a washcloth and running water on it, when it was damp he returns to the living room and gently places the washcloth on her forehead.

A little later, Michelle slowly awoke and groaned, she pushed herself up on the couch and looked around to find herself in a nice living room. Her eyes spotted Sam as he walked down a hallway.

"Hey." He smiled. "Sleeping beauty's awake."

"How did I get here?" She asked him, she saw Steve approaching.

"You were knocked out cold when that missile the building we were in." Steve explained, approaching the couch.

"Is my car in Sam's driveway?"

Steve shook his head. "The missile took out your car too."

The teal haired woman groaned leaning back on the couch. "I loved that car."

"I have breakfast if you guys are hungry." Sam offered. That perked up Michelle.

"I am." She smiled.

The four of them now sat the table, discussing SHIELD. "So, who has the power to fire a domestic missile strike at SHIELD?" Natasha asked.

"Pierce." Steve answered automatically, leaning back in his chair.

"Who is sitting at the top of the most protected building in the world." Michelle said after downing most of her milk.

"He's not working alone." Steve added in thought. "Zola'a algorithm was on the Starship."

"So was Jasper Sitwell." Natasha realized.

"So, the real question is. How do the three most wanted people in DC kidnap a SHIELD agent in broad daylight?"

"Answer, you don't." Sam comes back in with a folder and tosses it down onto the table in front of Steve. "Consider this my resume." He folds his arms.

Both Michelle and Natasha moved to either side of him as he opens the folder. The picture showed Sam and another guy, and of course some files.

"Is that Riley?" Michelle asked, looking at Sam who nods.

"What did you use? A stealth shoot?" Natasha asked with interest.

"No, these." Sam showed a document, and Steve looks at the paper with mild shock.

"I thought you said you were a pilot."

"I never said I was a pilot." Sam said with a smirk with humor.

"You got out for a good reason." Steve shook his head.

"Hey, Captain America needs my help, I can't think of a better reason to get back in." Sam said happily.

"Here's the next question. How do we get our hands on one of these?" Michelle asked, gesturing to the folder.

"The last one is held in Fort Meade, behind three guarded gates and a 12 inch steel wall." Sam described.

The trio share an amused look, before looking back at Sam.

"Should not be a problem." Steve said as he tossed the file back on the table.
