A big family gets even bigger

Chapter Three: The Gift

It was the first Saturday in the Loud family residence since the Alversons moved in due to a mix of Rita Alverson being engaged to Lynn Loud Sr. and the Alverson house being damaged in a storm thus necessitating that Rita and her biological children move in early. Among the first of the combined eleven minors in the household to wake up were Lola and Lana. "Saturday!" cheered Lana, "Time for morning cartoons!"

"No, we're going to be watching the pageant channel," Lola declared, "I need ideas on what to do in my next child pageant."

"Not if I beat you to the living room!" Lana declared as she proceeded to rush from the room as fast as she could.

"No way am I gonna lose a race to a fatty!" Lola declared as she rushed out of the room as well. Lola and Lana soon were neck and neck in the race for the remote, but Lana's extra weight gave Lola the advantage, and sure enough Lola reached the living room first, with Lana coming in while panting a fair bit.

Pointing at Lana, Lola said, "Aha! I win, so we're watching the pageant channel!"

"Wanna see who got to the remote first, Lola?"

Both Lola and Lana looked surprised to hear Lincoln's voice, before looking over to the sofa and seeing Lincoln sitting there, remote in hand and lounging like a Hutt. He already had the TV playing Saturday morning cartoons, which Lana upon seeing let out a cheer. "Sorry, but I got up before anyone else in the house aside from mom, your dad, and Lori," Lincoln said, "I asked if it'd be okay to watch cartoons and Lori handed me the remote before going to take a shower."

"No fair!" Lola complained as she pointed and accusing finger at Lincoln, "I want to watch the pageant channel!"

Shrugging, Lincoln said, "Me and my younger sisters are gonna wanna watch Saturday morning cartoons, and I got the remo- hey!"

Lincoln was cut off when Lola jumped up at him on his left side and tried to wrestle the remote away from him, her feet sinking into his plump, considerable self as Lincoln tried to keep the remote away from Lola. Lana was about to jump in to help her older brother defend the remote from Lola, but she stopped short when she, Lincoln, and Lola all heard a male robotic sounding voice speak up from out of the blue.

"Hostile actions against Lincoln detected."

Suddenly, Lola was zapped with a shocking prod, making her fall away onto the floor. Lincoln and Lana looked and saw a streamlined, rather advanced looking robot about as tall as Lincoln when he's standing up. It was mostly blue, and had decal work that made it look like it was a butler. It had a glass dome head that was sort of pointed upwards like the more narrow end of an egg, a sort of visor area to give it vision, and its feet were actually a set of at least six small wheels.

"WOAH!" Lincoln and Lana both cried out in alarm as they scrambled to back away from the robot that apparently had just attacked Lola. Lincoln scootched to the far opposite end of the sofa from where he was previously sitting, and Lana backed up until she stood near where Lincoln was sitting. It was around this time that Lola recovered from the zapping; it was just enough to make her back off from Lincoln, nothing too bad.

As she looked at the robot who zapped her, Lola rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Lisa!" Lola called out loudly, "Another one of your robots is in the living room!"

"Wait, this robot is Lisa's handiwork?!" Lana exclaimed, she and Lincoln both looking rather surprised.

At this moment, Lisa came walking into the living room. "Ah, I see you all have met the butler model Servantbot that I made," Lisa remarked casually, as if the robot is no big deal, "I had the idea to-"

"You actually made this robot, Lisa?!" Lincoln cut in while gesturing to the robot, "This is amazing!"

Lisa was caught off guard a bit by how surprised and amazed Lincoln looked and sounded. "Oh, umm, well it's really no big deal," Lisa began, a hint of stammering in her voice.

"No big deal?!" Lana said, sounding similarly as amazed, "I've seen videos on the internet of robots made over in Japan, but all of those can't hold a candle to how advanced this robot is looking! This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen!"

Lola was confused by how surprised Lincoln and Lana were. "Lisa does science stuff like this all the time," Lola remarked, "I fail to see how you two are so amazed by it."

"We've never seen anything like this," Lincoln replied, "And I agree with Lana, it's one of the coolest things ever!"

Lisa was now blushing a bit, never getting praise of this level from her biological siblings for her work in science. "Umm, thank you for the kind words, older brother unit," Lisa said, "And actually, I had made the Servantbot here as a gift for you."

"You made it for Lincoln?" Lola asked.

Nodding once, Lisa as she settled down a bit explained, "I had originally come up with the idea for Servantbots with the plan to use them to assist those who need help with various tasks, mainly those with mobility issues."

Gesturing to Lincoln, Lola said, "Well given how wide and round and fat Lincoln is, he probably has mobility issues."

"Oh ha ha," Lincoln said sarcastically, his tone and expression equally dry.

Looking to Lincoln, Lisa said while gesturing to the Servantbot, "It's already set to obey you. Why don't you give it an order to test it out?"

Lincoln, although excited about having a robot servant now apparently, wanted to be careful here and think things out. He decided something simple as a first order would be sufficient. "There's a bag of sour cream and cheddar flavored potato chips in the snack cabinet in the kitchen," Lincoln said to the Servantbot, "Can you go get it for me?"

"Affirmative," the Servantbot replied before turning around and zooming off into the kitchen. A few seconds later, the Servantbot came back with and handed to Lincoln the potato chips that he had asked it to get for him.

Looking to Lisa, Lincoln said, "Wow, that is amazing!"

"I do ask that you make note of everything you do with the Servantbot," Lisa said, "It's the first complete one out of the prototype phase, so there may be a few issues that ought to be addressed before I can make more. If anything crops up, let me know and I'll adjust the Servantbot as needed. Do you have any further questions?"

Holding up a hand, Lana asked, "Is the Servantbot a boy or a girl?"

Looking curious, Lisa replied, "Technically, it is neither male or female due to being a robot."

"I asked if it was a boy or a girl, not if it worked with mail," Lana replied.

"Male and female mean boy and girl respectively," Lisa pointed out.

Shrugging, Lola said, "To be fair, I didn't know that either."

"So the Servantbot isn't a boy or a girl, huh?" Lana said.

Looking to the Servantbot, Lisa replied, "Like I said, technically no. But as it's a butler model, I guess that it can be referred to as being male, or a boy for those who don't know what male means. Also when I say male I'm using the m-a-l-e spelling."

"Mail is spelled m-a-i-l," Lana corrected.

"When talking about mail as in the post office, yes," Lisa replied, "But male when referring to genders is spelled m-a-l-e. Anyway, are there any more questions?"

"What's his name?" Lana asked while pointing at the Servantbot.

Gesturing to Lincoln, Lisa said to Lana, "Ultimately, it's up to Lincoln as I made it for him, but right now the Servantbot doesn't have a name, so when addressing it call it Servantbot."

Lincoln nodded in understanding. "Got it," Lincoln replied as he scootched back over to where he was originally sitting on the sofa, "Hey Servantbot, can you stand next to where I'm sitting and wait until I have another order?"

"My primary function is to serve you, Lincoln," Servantbot replied as if moved to stand next to where Lincoln sat on the sofa. He gestured to Lana to join him, and after Lana hoisted her plump self up onto the sofa and sat next to Lincoln, the two of them began watching Saturday morning cartoons together. Lola was a bit annoyed to have been denied the pageant channel, but she was even more ticked off that Lisa had made and given Lincoln the ultimate anti-pageant channel tool.

She had to tell the rest of her siblings about this.

"Oh yeah," Lori said later that day during a Loud-Alverson sibling meeting in her and Leni's room later as everyone was looking at the Servantbot, "That's just another example of one of the many big science things that Lisa can do."

"She can make robots?!" Luna said, "Dude, that's amazing!"

"Well I can't make another Servantbot right now as I lack some important parts," Lisa said, "But if all goes according to plan, I ought to be able to make more. The one here is a butler model Servantbot, but I also have designs for a maid model Servantbot."

"What can it do?" Lucy asked, a hint of excitement showing through her gloomy air she gave off.

"A wide range of tasks, really," Lisa began to explain, "Basically most anything you can imagine an actual human servant being able to do."

"Like bring junk food to Lincoln so he doesn't have to get off of his big fat butt and get it himself," Lola scowled, "Also it tazed me!"

Lincoln didn't look exactly amused with Lola's tone towards him, but he's letting it slide for now. "Yeah, I wasn't expecting it to be able to taze people."

"Well as your Servantbot, it needs to be able to protect you from people being physically hostile towards you," Lisa explained.

"Aww, well I think that it's, like, totes sweet," Leni said, "Thanks for standing up for Linky, Servantbot."

"Error," Servantbot replied, "I have no record of an individual named Linky."

"Linky is Leni's nickname for me," Lincoln explained.

"Understood," Servantbot said.

Pointing at Servantbot, Lana said, "Can it do math stuff like that Android guy on that science fiction space exploring show?"

"Affirmative," Lisa replied, "Why, do you wanna test it?"

"I actually wanna know what a kilogram is," Lana said, "All I know is that it's a unit of measurement."

Looking to Servantbot, Lincoln asked, "Servantbot, can you tell my sisters and I what a kilogram is?"

"A kilogram is a unit of measurement for measuring weight," Servantbot said, "One kilogram is approximately two point two zero five zero pounds."

"If you're told a weight measured in kilograms, can you convert it to its equivalent in pounds?" Lincoln asked.

"Affirmative," Servantbot replied, "Do you have such a measurement to give?"

Looking to Lana, Lincoln said, "Well?"

"Uhh, no, I was just curious," Lana replied, "It's just that the scale in the bathroom at Anna's house measured my weight in kilograms, and I don't know how to figure that stuff out is all."

"Ooh, Aggro and his younger sisters use that scale," Leni said, "Aggro explained to me that in Japan, people measure their weight in kilograms. Aggro and his siblings are half-Japanese, did any of you know that?"

"Uhh, let's get back to how amazing it is that one of our soon to be step-sisters is a bloody genius," Luna said, some of her practiced British accent slipping on through, "She can build advanced robots that would make current Japanese robotics blush with jealousy!"

"And Lisa made it as a gift for Lincoln to basically be his servant," Luan said, arching a wry eyebrow, as did Lynn and Lola.

"Well, umm, I, err," Lisa said, a little embarrassed, "I, umm, just want to, err, umm... say thanks to Lincoln for becoming my big brother."

"Aww," Lori, Leni, Luna, Lana, and even Lucy said in unison. As for Lincoln, he gestured for Lisa to come over to him, before drawing her into a warm, loving, very plush and soft, brotherly hug.

"Well you are welcome," Lincoln remarked.

"Hey now, don't go givin' all the love to Lincoln, lil' sis," Luna said to Lisa, "I wouldn't mind it if you were sweet like that to me."

"Ooh, you'd be totes adorb in some of the outfits I made for Lucy and Lana," Leni said, "Although I'd have to size them down for you because you're shorter than Lucy and Lana."

"Not to mention way skinnier," Lola snarked.

Arching a wry eyebrow, Lisa said to Lola, "Your persistence and the persistence of Luan and Lynn in being mean to our soon to be step-siblings still baffles me."

"Yeah, you girls literally need to stop," Lori remarked, an unamused look on her face as she regarded Luan, Lynn, and Lola.

"It's reassuring that you and I see eye to eye on this matter, Lori," Lisa said. Looking to Leni, Lisa said, "As for your offer, I must admit I've never done anything related to clothes with my biological sisters before, so I'm actually interested."

"Eee!" Leni cheered excitedly, "This is going to be so cute!"

While Lori and Lisa talked with the Alverson siblings, Luan, Lynn, and Lola all had annoyed looks on their faces while regarding Servantbot. They had all decided that something had to be done about it, and done fast.

That late afternoon, Lincoln was sitting on the one end of the sofa in the living room while having his friends Clyde, Rusty, Liam, and Zach over to play some video games. It was there that Lincoln's friends all saw Servantbot, who stood next to the end of the sofa where Lincoln sat. "So wait, he doesn't have a name yet?" Rusty asked.

"I'm still trying to think of one, and I want it to be good," Lincoln replied, "Clever and fitting, but at the same time tasteful. Nothing too bizarre and inappropriate. I mean, Lisa made it for me, so I don't wanna show a lack of appreciation by giving Servantbot a stupid name."

"So you're not gonna name him Chandler," Liam said, drawing a round of laughter from himself and the other boys.

As the laughter settled down, Clyde asked, "So why couldn't the girls come over?"

"Ronnie Anne told me she has Stella, Sid, and Astrid over at her place as her place as her Grandma Rosa made some amazing Mexican dessert," Lincoln explained, "I think Ronnie Anne told me that Aggro is also over to supervise Astrid and hang out with Bobby."

"So what all has Servantbot done for you so far?" Clyde asked.

"Really only get things for me," Lincoln replied, "Although he also answered a few questions."

"Hey, can I ask him to do something for me?" Zach asked, "I wanna see how he works."

"Lisa told me that Servantbot can do orders for others," Lincoln said, "But I have to authorize it first, and the authorization ends when the task is completed."

Shrugging, Zach said, "I just wanna see what it can do."

Gesturing to Servantbot, Lincoln said, "Give it a whirl, I guess."

Looking to Servantbot, Zach said while pointing to where some backpacks are laid, "Hey Servantbot, can you bring me my backpack? It's the red one with the black straps."

"Requesting authorization from Lincoln to carry out this order," Servantbot said.

"Yes, you can do it," Lincoln replied.

Servantbot turned around, went to where the backpacks were all set up, grabbed Zach's backpack, brought it over to Zach, then went back to its post where it stood next to where Lincoln sat. All of Lincoln's friends were amazed by how smooth and efficient Servantbot was. "I can also have Servantbot follow someone else temporarily," Lincoln said, "Like how I told him to help Luna carry some things to the garage so she can set up for a jam session with her friends and band mates, but once the task was done he came right back to me."

"Dude, Chandler is gonna be so jealous that you got a robot servant now," Rusty said.

"Yeah, let's not mention it at school," Lincoln said dryly, "I'm still trying to process how incredibly gifted my soon to be step-sister Lisa is."

"Speaking of, where is she?" Liam asked.

Shrugging, Lincoln replied, "She's up in Lori and Leni's room, where she's being fitted in some clothing that Leni made for Lucy and Lana, although the clothing has to be adjusted for Lisa as she is both shorter and thinner than either Lucy or Lana. Lori remarked how Lisa seemed oddly keen on doing something with Leni and Luna."

Shrugging, Clyde said, "Well she's a girl, right? She probably just wants to hang out with and bond with her soon to be step-sisters."

"But Lori noted that Lisa had never shown much interest in hanging with and bonding with her or Luan or Lynn or Lola," Lincoln explained, "But Lisa was quick to wanna bond with my biological sisters. She's also been super affectionate towards me."

"Well she's a short little girl and you're her much bigger older brother," Rusty said, "You probably make her feel safe and that all of her worries are pushed away."

Lincoln nodded in understanding to that as he and his friends resumed playing video games. He still had a lot to figure out about his new soon to be step-sisters, mostly in how to get Luan, Lynn, and Lola to not be so mean to him and his biological sisters. He also thought about how he wanted to do something nice for Lisa as thanks for making him Servantbot.

He realized it'd probably take a lot to measure up to the gift of a robot servant, but he at least wanted to get a start on thanking Lisa properly. It was around the time that Lincoln was thinking about how to thank Lisa for her gift that Lincoln's mom Rita walked into the living room, her gait more of a waddle due to her considerable size. "Hey Lincoln, I'm heading to the store to get some snacks," Rita said, "Do you and your friends wanna come along?"

"Yeah, we're down for that," Liam said as he and the other boys all put a pause on their video game playing.

Rita then looked to Servantbot and gave it a somewhat considering look. "I still can't believe that Lynn didn't tell me of how much of a genius one of his daughters is. I mean seriously, Lisa can actually make highly advanced robots like that?"

Shrugging, Lincoln replied, "It took me by surprise too mo-" Lincoln stopped short, having gotten an idea on how to begin thanking Lisa for Servantbot. Turning to look at Servantbot, Lincoln said, "Hey Servantbot, do you know what Lisa's favorite snack is?"

"My creator favors fig bars," Servantbot replied.

Lincoln nodded once in understanding, saying, "Thank you, Servantbot." Turning to look at Rita, Lincoln said, "Hey mom, during the snack run, can we get a pack of fig bars for Lisa?"

"Aww, you want to be nice to Lisa because of how sweet she's been towards you ever since we moved in here, don't you?" Rita replied, "Well I've got no problem with that." With a game plan having been settled, Rita led her son and his friends out of the house to go on a snack run. Considering how Rita was getting snacks mainly for herself and her biological kids, the haul was going to be a much larger than normally expected.

The group left the Loud family residence, leaving Servantbot alone. While Servantbot stood alone next to where Lincoln had been sitting on the sofa, Luan, Lynn, and Lola came walking out into the living room. "Finally the TV isn't being used by anyone," Lola said, "Now I can probably catch some late programs on the pageant channel."

"Hey look, the robot that Lisa made for Lincoln is right there," Luan said as she pointed to where Servantbot was standing.

Lynn pulled out a baseball bat, as if from out of nowhere, as she wore a darkly amused look on her face. "I say we play ball," Lynn replied, right before taking a swing at Servantbot's head. Despite the head area of Servantbot looking like glass, it withstood the bludgeoning force of Lynn's strike no problem. In fact, the impact of her striking Servantbot actually stunned Lynn for a few seconds, but she recovered in quick order.

"How strong is that glass dome that the robot has?!" Lynn said as the stunned feeling in her arms faded.

"Well Lisa made it, so undoubtedly it'll be a tough nut to crack," Luan remarked. She tried squirting Servantbot with her gag flower, hoping to short circuit it. But it didn't do a thing.

Lola, growling with annoyed frustration, marched up to Servantbot and began trying to kick it, but only succeeded in hurting her left foot and breaking the heel off of her right shoe. "Why won't this darn thing break for crying out loud?!" Lola exclaimed, right before she as well as Luan and Lynn all began trying to attack Servantbot.

But all that their efforts did was make enough noise to alert others in the house to what they were doing, mainly Lori, Lisa, and the Alverson sisters all coming out, with Lisa wearing an incomplete looking sleeveless black dress that looked like she was in the middle of being fitted for it. "What are you three literally doing?!" Lori exclaimed angrily, making Luan, Lynn, and Lola stop.

"It would appear that they are trying to destroy Servantbot," Lisa said, a hint of unamusement in her tone and expression, "But they should know better as I was the one who made Servantbot. Robots that I craft do NOT break so easily."

"Why are you three brats trying to wreck the robot that Lisa made for Lincoln?!" Luna demanded.

Scoffing, Lana said, "I bet that Lola is jealous it's not her servant. A spoiled brat like her probably sees herself as a princess and thus ought to be first in line to get servants."

Shrugging, Lola said, "Well that goes without saying, but it's not why we're trying to beat up this dumb stupid robot."

Scowling, Lori said, "Everyone, me and Leni's room, NOW." Everyone then followed Lori up to the bedroom she was sharing with Leni. Luan, Lynn, and Lola could all tell that they were going to be on the receiving end of an earful.

As Lori was expecting, it turned out that the reason that Luan, Lynn, and Lola had for trying to break Servantbot ('trying' being the operative word here) stemmed from how the three of them generally are still resistant to the idea of the Alverson siblings becoming their step-siblings. Lori could tell right away that it stemmed from a degree of fatphobia on part of Luan, Lynn, and Lola, but while that was true, there was another, deeper reason that Luan, Lynn, and Lola had.

"They were just dropped on us out of the blue!" Lynn complained, practically snapping, "Without any warning whatsoever! And then we suddenly had to change and adjust things so as to accommodate all of them! Do you have any idea how frustrating that is, to have everything you've known flipped completely all of a sudden?! And we're supposed to be HAPPY with it?!"

"Why weren't we warned about it well in advance?!" Lola snapped, "Heck, we might have even been able to brace ourselves for having to put up with a bunch of fatties if we had sufficient warning about it! ...Well, I probably would still hate having to put up with Lana regardless because she's a gross mud rolling pig, but the others I might have been able to at least tolerate!"

Gesturing to Lynn and Lola, Luan said, "They have a point! We should have been given sufficient advance warning about the fact that dad marrying Mrs. Alverson would also net us a bunch of new step-siblings! Why did they think that surprising us with that fact would be a good idea?! Do you have any idea at all about how much I panicked internally when we found out we were getting step-siblings all of a sudden?!"

Lori let out a mildly frustrated, exasperated sigh. "You girls... have a point about how our parents shouldn't have decided on making it a surprise that we're all going to become step-siblings," Lori began, "Mind you, it literally doesn't change the fact that your behavior towards Leni and all of her biological siblings is wrong, nor does it excuse you from trying to break the robot that Lisa had made for Lincoln. But I can accept that you all are just frustrated and a little scared."

"We should go over this with the 'rents," Luna said, "Explain what these three did as well as why they did it. I still don't like how they're harshing on us just because there's more of us to love, but they do have a point on how all of us becoming step-siblings is something that should not have been made into a surprise."

"Luan, Lynn, and Lola also ought to, like, totes apologize to Linky for trying to break his robot," Leni said, "That was really mean!"

"They'd need to use an eighteen wheeler truck going full force at over one-hundred miles per hour to at minimum have a chance of scratching Servantbot," Lisa said, "But I agree they ought to apologize for the intent of their actions."

Looking at Lisa, Lola said, "What is that black number that you're wearing?"

"An extra copy of a dress Leni made for me a while ago," Lucy explained.

Nodding once in the affirmative, Lisa said, "I decided to take Leni up on her offer of refitting some old clothing she made for Lucy and Lana to better fit me."

"That... doesn't seem like something you'd normally be hot on doing, Lisa," Luan said, looking mildly surprised as did Lynn and Lola.

Looking a bit annoyed as well as a hint upset, Lisa said, "Well the Alverson siblings have been far warmer towards me than you three and even Lori to a degree have been for ages! My feats of scientific achievement that you four find as common fare actually amaze the Alverson siblings, blowing their expectations clear out of the water! Do you know how good I felt when Lincoln and Leni and the others all gave me sincere, amazed praise?"

Luan, Lynn, and Lola, as well as Lori to a degree, all looked a bit ashamed. They had gotten so used to Lisa drumming out feats of scientific achievement on the regular that at most each feat amazes them as much as they'd be if they found a quarter on the sidewalk outside. As smart as Lisa may be, she's still four years old, going on five years old; a child her age craves praise when they achieve something they put a lot of hard honest work into.

And sadly, the older Loud sisters hadn't been expressing to Lisa how amazing her smart girl stuff has been as much as they should have. Lisa's scientific breakthroughs often get pushed to the side in favor of Lynn's sports games or Lola's child pageants or Luan's comedy gigs. Hell, some of Lori's occasional golf games she's played as of late have gotten more focus than Lisa's science stuff, as it was treated as just the usual fare.

It's no wonder Lisa had so easily and quickly latched onto the Alverson siblings; aside from one of them being a big brother which Lisa had always wanted, they are actually amazed by what all Lisa can pull off in the realms of science. The girls all realized that a lot more than getting used to all living together had to be handled.

Lori would have spoken up, but was cut off when Lynn Sr. called out from downstairs, "Hey girls! Why does it look like a robot Lisa made was attacked?!"

"We... ought to explain to our parents what all happened and why," Lori said, "They with all due respect also share some of the blame." The girls all agreed, and thus they all left Lori's and Leni's room to go downstairs and talk to Lynn Sr.

The Loud and Alverson sisters saw that Rita had also gotten back by that point, along with Lincoln and his friends. Lori led the explaining, pointing out what Luan, Lynn, and Lola had tried to do without realizing that Lisa builds her robots to be strong. Lori also explained the frustration and mild worry and fright that Luan, Lynn, and Lola were feeling about having new future step-siblings all dropped on them out of the blue and without warning.

"I'm rather upset that Luan, Lynn, and Lola had tried to break something that Lisa made for Lincoln," Rita remarked, "But it's good they actually failed to do any damage. And you do have a point on how it shouldn't have been a surprise that you all were going to become step-siblings."

"Yeah, not my brightest idea," Lynn Sr. admitted, "I thought it'd be a neat surprise for all of you kids and convinced Rita to play along with it, but I guess that I should have listened to Rita when she first said that we should have warned all of you about you becoming a big single family in advance."

Luan, Lynn, and Lola still had to be punished for their act against Lincoln, or at least the intent of said act. But as no harm was caused, the most that Lynn Sr. figured was revoking dessert privileges from Luan, Lynn, and Lola for tonight and tomorrow night. Their share of dessert would be eaten by the other siblings, Loud and Alverson alike.

"You all need to start being nice to your soon to be step-siblings," Lynn Sr. said to Luan, Lynn, and Lola, "They're willing to play ball if you are. And if you have any concerns or worries, you can send them my way and I will try to help out as best as I can."

Luan, Lynn, and Lola, all of them humbled, agreed. With things smoothed over, the night resumed. Lincoln's friends went home before dinner, and the food was both good and plentiful. After dinner was dessert, which was some amazing cookies n' cream cake that Rita got while she was doing the snack run earlier.

Although Luan, Lynn, and Lola were all expecting to go without dessert, they were surprised when Lincoln, Luna, and Servantbot came up to them, each carrying a plate with a fork and slice of cake on them. "Servantbot, hand the plate you're carrying to Lola," Lincoln said, prompting Servantbot to hand the plate he was holding to Lola, while Lincoln gave the plate he carried to Lynn and Luna gave the plate she carried to Luan.

"We convinced the 'rents to let us give you all some cake," Luna explained, "We actually do wanna smooth things over, so we figured getting our mom and your dad to drop the no dessert punishment so you all can join the rest of us would be a nice start."

Luan, Lynn, and Lola were all touched. "That's... that's actually pretty nice," Luan said.

"Yeah, thanks for both the cake and the save," Lynn remarked.

"Umm, sorry that we tried to break you, Servantbot," Lola said.

"There is no need to apologize to me as I am Lincoln's property," Servantbot replied.

Looking to Lincoln, Lola said, "Umm, sorry we tried to break your robot."

"Just try to be more respectful towards me and my biological sisters," Lincoln replied.

Luan, Lynn, and Lola all agreed, and thus the three of them joined the other siblings for dessert. Although it only started, Luan, Lynn, and Lola were starting to get used to the idea of the Alverson siblings being their step-siblings. But they had only just started, and it was going to take a lot more than warm feelings and cake to get everyone on board.

...But there was some hope that everything will be alright.

END, CHAPTER THREE

Author's notes;

This chapter sees the Alverson siblings being exposed to how much of a genius Lisa is when she makes and gives a robot servant to Lincoln. Lisa is not at all ready for how amazed the Alverson siblings are, nor is she ready for the sincere praise they give her as well as Leni and Luna both wanting to try bonding as siblings with Lisa more, an offer she actually accepts.

But Luan, Lynn, and Lola are still not keen on the Alverson siblings becoming their step-siblings, so in a bout of annoyance they try to break Servantbot, failing miserably because Lisa builds her robots to be strong. A sibling meeting is held, and there Luan, Lynn, and Lola vent their frustrations, as well as Lisa revealing WHY she had been so quick to accept the Alverson siblings.

Things are discussed with Lynn Sr. and Rita, who both agree that they were in the wrong for letting the frustrations happen in the first place and they apologize for it. They still have to scold Luan, Lynn, and Lola for the intent of their act against Lincoln, but they're convinced by Lincoln and Luna to let them have dessert that night anyway, building hope that things will be smoothed over.

It'll be a long and hard road, but the groundwork is beginning to be laid. It'll see further laying in the next chapter, where the respective girlfriends of Lincoln and Luna are introduced to the Loud sisters aside from Lori who already knows both of them. Until then, take care.
